Chopped Style Kitchen Magick

So I wanted to inject a little Magick into dinner - the natives are #restless, morale is low, people are smelly, money is tight & running to the store is not an option 😬 #tenseAF

So, here’s what I’m calling my: #covidlockdown - #usewhatyouhave - #addsomeMagick - #choppedstyle - Chicken Ragu”

I would love any insights & tips you all have on the #witchy correspondences for the basket, pantry & magick items!!

Basket Ingredients Revealed 😳

- 3 frozen chicken breast (to feed 4 adults!)

- Tub o’ spinach (before it goes bad)

- Large bag of frozen cheese tortellinis

Me... obvs this is Italian - goddess #aradia is perhaps calling? #tuscanmoongoddess #gospelofthewitches

Pantry Frenzy 🤔

- 1 can crushed tomatoes

- 1 can diced tomatoes

- Box of chicken broth

- Forage for available herbs & spices

- Heavy Cream or Milk

- Scramble for any leftover white cheeses

- 1/3 container of (probably expired) ricotta

- Parmesan

- Mozzarella

Me...pour wine 🍷 gather and ready my mind, spirit & body to create yumminess

Recipe/Spell

✨invoke pentagram

✨Thank the ingredients provided to you by the earth, plants, animals & the individuals who labored for them #essentialworkersaremyheroes

✨shout out to Jesus to multiply the fishes😉

🥄 stew chicken, tomatoes, broth until chicken is easily shredded

✨Add herbs with intention - these were mine but all of the below have multiple magickal properties✨

🌱Two hefty stems from the lovely #Odessa - pictured - yes I name many of my plants! (Oregano: comfort, protection, peace, releasing worry & anxiety)

🌱5 large leaves from Baby Basil

(health, money, luck & courage + my oldest offspring has a job interview tomorrow 🤞)

🧄 Garlic Powder: cleansing

🧅 Onion powder: earth grounding

🧂 Salt: protection

🙅‍♀️ Pepper: banish negativity

💥Dash Allspice: renewal/energy

🥄stew on medium-low until broth is bubbly

✨stir in cream & cheese to make it a beautiful warm pink color #superpinkmoon

💖 #colormagick

🌱add seasonings & herbs to taste

🥛 Heavy Cream: sustenance

🥄stew more - prepare tortellini

✨add spinach & stir

🥄Take a ladle of bubbly brew & put in separate bowl

✨Add Cornstarch to smaller bowl

🧹whisk until smooth

🧹pour into brew to bind the spell

🧹Not too much or you may inadvertently stay in #lockdown for far too long! 😮

✨cast spell (pictured)

✨add cooked tortellini

🥄stir until coated well

✨add spoonfuls of ricotta to the top & some shredded mozzarella

🥄cover & simmer until cheese is melted and sauce is thick & bubbly (next time I may broil it)
