Astro observations pt1
Saturn in the 5th house:
Saturn in the 5th house people don’t seem to like children.
It sounds horrible, but they are just put off by all the ruckus the children are making
But I’m not saying that they’re psychopaths: Saturn in the 5th house people are like old people who doesn’t like loud noises, and guess who makes loud noises? Children!
10th house Sun:
10th house Sun people crave attention, they practically live for it. They love it when they get appreciated for a project or something related to their careers: it makes up a huge part of their identity
So please pat your 10th house Sun friend on the back for a project they worked their asses off: they’ll appreciate it a lot
Pluto conjunct Ascendant:
They look like they’ve seen shit.
Someone I know who has this aspect always gets asked if their family is doing okay because of this aspect😭
Also they look like they can keep secrets very well. So they have a lot of secrets, because people tell them their secrets very often.
Men with hard aspects to their mars(squares, oppositions) are red flags to me. And if they have a moon aspect that’s also badly aspected? Run, girl, run😭 Chances are that he might cheat on you or hit you🚩
Lilith 9th house:
They question god a lot. It doesn’t mean that they don’t believe in god, actually Lilith 9th housers are fascinated with their religion. They seem to have a good grasp of religion from an early age because of that.
But often than not, they could create a version in their heads of god that is quite different from the concepts that we learn in church. They love saying thought-provoking questions about god and religion.
Your Venus sign and house placement+ your Juno(3)sign+house placement can tell you a lot about your type.
Ex) I have Venus in Capricorn in 12th house and Juno in Sagittarius in 10th house: Kendall Roy( from succession)
He is my favorite character. I had a crush on him since I was little. He gives off an endearing vibe, Venus in 12th house people likes that in a guy
Contemporary politicians all seem to have prominent Jupiter/Neptune influence in their charts: Jupiter/Neptune placements in your charts can give you luck(winning elections) but also delusions and unclear thinking
Are we all doing okay?😭
Ex. Emmanuel Macron(president of France 🇫🇷 since 2017) is a Sagittarius Sun. He has Sun conjunct mercury opposite Jupiter . He also has Neptune in the 10th house,.
Boris Johnson has Jupiter opposite Neptune
Joe Biden has Neptune in 10th house. He also has Jupiter trining his sun and mercury and Venus . He also has Neptune sextiling his sun and Venus and ascendant
Yoon suk yeol(current president of South Korea🇰🇷 ) is a sag stellium(sun, moon, mercury) and has Jupiter trining his Neptune, but opposing his mars.
Lilith in 5th house+a difficult mars placements(square, opposition) can make you have weird kinks in bed🤭
Saturn in the 3rd house in a solar return chart is a tough placement to have. You might feel really lonely. You might feel cut off from your friends this year. Your communication skills might hit a new low this year.
But remember, this is a Saturn placement: all of this can be improved by hard work. If you want to know what to work on, check the planets that aspect your Saturn
Ascendant conjunct Mars in SR chart(especially if mars is in the 12th house)
could be bad for you 😭contrary to the popular belief that it makes you more assertive
It can make you susceptible to illness or infections. So if you have this placement in your sr chart, try to stay as healthy as possible.
Leo moons are so endearing to me: They are kinda dorky and cute even if they don’t know it. They’re really close with their moms as well.
Aries moons are so pure. They always think for themselves and their thoughts are so interesting to me. They never hold back and they are so bold in their thinking. They are so fun to talk to.
Uranus in the 1st house people are used to being an outcast: something about them is so different and they don’t seem to fit in at all with a group.
Pisces signs are notorious for being delulu but have you ever met a mars in Pisces?Their actions revolve around their delusions(big dreams) and if they don’t get to make their aspirations come true, they’ll get so sad sometimes.
Like or reblog if you want a part two

Lilith in synastry💋😈🔥💣
Lilith has been a big topic in Synastry lately.
Everyone gets so excited when they talk about a man’s Lilith conjunction to a woman’s inner planets. Lilith contacts create an intense sexual attraction in Synastry in general. I’ve noticed that women have an easier time and love their Lilith conjunct a man’s personal planets, but a man has a more difficult time when his Lilith is conjunct another’s woman’s personal planets. Men usually like when a woman’s personal planets oppose, square, or trine his Lilith. Ex: ( Liam Hemsworth’s Lilith is very closely conjunct Miley’s sun and moon). We see that even though he was magnetically attached to her for years, he couldn’t control her making him even ashamed of her and her persona. With rumors that he even cheated on her. Now he is with Gabrielle Brooks who has her sun and possibly her moon opposing his Lilith. Making the magnetic pull stronger and easier for him to handle. Another fictional example is the new movie “ The idea of you” in the movie Nicholas Galitzine character is obsessed with Anne Hathaway (I mean who wouldn’t lol). The chemistry in the movie is undeniable! Nicholas has his Lilith directly opposing Anne’s Sun and Venus. Chris Evan’s was the biggest bachelor. He dated Minka Kelly (his Lilith conjunct her moon) off and on for seven years and never married her. He dated Emmy Rossum (his Lilith conjunct her Venus) breaking things off after one year. When he met Alba Baptista he Married her after 2 years of dating (His Lilith is squaring her Venus trining her Sun). Another big example of a man’s Lilith in Synastry is Johnny Depp. His Lilith was conjunct Winona Ryders sun and Venus, his Lilith was also conjunct Kate Moss’s moon. He dated both of them breaking things off with both of them. Winona and Kate took the breakups really bad. He never intended to Marry either of them, with him breaking his engagement to Kate. Johnny Depp got his relationship Karma when he Met Amber Heard. Amber has her Lilith conjunct Johnny’s Venus, he cheated on Vanessa (his Lilith conjunct her ascendant) with Amber and then went on to marry her. Lilith in a woman’s chart isn’t always a home wrecker. When it comes to a woman’s Lilith, if she makes a direct conjunction with a man’s personal planets, especially his Venus. She has put him in a magnetic spell. This I’ve seen in many Synastry charts of long term married couples. This is because he loves her sexual lilithian nature, and embraces her wild femininity. Ex:( Taylor swift and Travis Kelsey, David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, Jessica alba and Cash Warren, Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander). There’s a lot more examples of this if you read many different celebrity couples charts.
In my own personal experience: my Fiancé and I have so many Lilith contacts in Synastry. It’s crazy. Our chemistry and sex life is off the charts. He has his Lilith opposing my Venus, moon, squaring my mars and Uranus, with a sextile to my ascendant. My Lilith is conjunct his Venus, Sun, Uranus, trining his moon. The sexual chem may also be do to our 8th house Synastry, with his mars, Pluto, and ascendant all conjunct in my 8th with my mars trining all 3. We broke up once but we never got over each other. He came back to me three weeks after the breakup, Now he asked me to marry him. Ooop! It might also be because he has his Eros and Juno conjunct my Venus, Moon, Eros, trining my ascendant. My Eros is also in his first house, but now I’m just bragging lol. Let me know if you want me to make an Eros and Juno in Synastry as well as 8th house overlay💕

🦩Astro Observations for When the Bare minimum is Your Best🦩
🦩The Neptune Sextile Pluto to me is such an interesting aspect. For one, it is an anomaly for it being cross generational yet only occur during less than 25% of a generational birth timeline. The second being that it occurs during significant periods of history (i.e. The escalation of WWII in 1942). People that have had an influence on many generations are born with this aspect.
🦩The Polarity between Fire/Air dom Scorpio vs Earth/Water dom Scorpio is unbelievable.
🦩Pluto entering Aquarius (plus being in retrograde) and Uranus in Taurus has been proving to be karmic and transformative for the Pluto Scorpio generation. Many celebrities are continued to be exposed for bad behavior (sometimes it could be down right criminal). This isn't anything new, but it has been happening to people that no one suspected or the affected have kept quiet about it or were unheard until now.
🦩 Sun Inconjunct Saturn people almost always have painful stories yet they're never told. The restrictions that Saturn brings on the Sun can suggest everything from a controlling family, chronic loneliness, expected to follow a pathology, or being forced into a life that can only be referred to as inauthentic at the least. Unlike most, these people need to learn to unbecome everything that have been placed on them by others. As a result, they usually posses the biggest sense of perseverance and persistence. With time and as they accept that they have the right to hold court and presence in life, they will start to shine. Saturn is a late boomer, so they usually reap it's fruits later in life. Love that old age radiance.
🦩The asteroid Pallas Athena (2) gives an insight to the wisdom and knowledge we carried from our past lives. It recognizes patterns, habits, cycles and thoughts. It's our trigger and reason for when we experience "Deja Vu". The sign it's in, the house it resides in, the aspects it makes tell us how and through what that wisdom and knowledge is channeled and received.
🦩People with Neptune in Mutable houses (3rd, 6th, 9th, 12th) are more susceptible to indoctrination. They're usually a part of a new age cult.
🦩When the Moon is in a positive aspect to one of either Venus or Mars but a harsh aspect to the other (For example, Moon Trine Venus but Moon Opposing Mars), the person emotional needs, romantic attraction and sexual attraction would always be at odds with one another. With a highly developed person, this is usually resolved by communicating your needs and desires (possibly being part of the BDSM or kink community). In underdeveloped individuals, this would create an unsatisfied person that is hard to please or get to know, fear of intimacy, and (my fav) being an all around incel.
🦩Scorpio in the 10th/Pluto in the 10th natives might develop a reputation as the "other woman/man/one" or could be entangled in a messy relationship publicly.
🦩Although both the Square and Opposition aspects are considered "harsh" or challenging, they represent a different kind respectively. The Square aspect is generally external in its characteristics. When it's present, the native usually deals with adversarial circumstances in relation to the placements/houses. In contrast, the Opposition aspect is internal and entail a difficulty understanding, reflecting or aligning that conflict within. For example, a square aspect between Mercury and Uranus suggests a more restrictive environment where one could be punished for speaking the truth and expressing their mind. Meanwhile, an opposition aspect between Mercury and Uranus suggest difficulty connecting and communicating with the world around.
🦩Beware of people you meet during the period between your Jupiter return and Saturn return. It's very likely they would prove to be a testament to your growth and attunement. In some cases, you may find yourself on the receiving end of a situation where you have been the other person in the past. (i.e. Getting ghosted more often if you ghosted many before)
🦩I found that in one sided relationships, in synastry one person planets are usually more aspected than the other one.
🦩Signs from each element complete each other, for when they stand alone you'll find that they desire what the others posses. For example, with Earth signs you'll find that both Virgo and Capricorn desire the stability that Taurus posses. Although they both find it through work, Virgo gets it from the stability of routine, while Capricorn get it from the financial security. The same can be said for Virgo's vigor and Capricorn's efficiency.
🦩A person with an unaspected mean Lilith (h12) tend be the least petty and vengeful person. If their other placements prove otherwise, then their pettiness would be circumstantial rather than passive and constant in nature. This is because Lilith is only activated when aspected.
Byeeeee 💕

Energy Update: Full Moon 29° Capricorn, 7/21/24 EDT
Aspects In a Nutshell:
Sun in Leo opposed Moon in Capricorn (assumed, this makes the full moon)
Moon in Capricorn conjunct Pluto in Aquarius 01° off element (<- v big deal)
Sun trine Neptune, Sun opposed Pluto, Moon sextile Neptune
Mercury in Leo square Uranus in Taurus
Venus in Leo sextile Jupiter in Gemini
Mars in Gemini trine Pluto in Aquarius
We won't worry about Venus, Mars, or Neptune here. In the scope of this energy, these are definitely incidentals.
The moon is in Capricorn for the second time in two months - a true astrological Blue Moon. Capricorn is our cardinal earth sign (ruled by Saturn) and, as the sun sign opposite of Cancer (the moon's domicile), is the sign of the Moon's detriment. The ever-changing moon is not at its best in the steady, weighted Capricorn.
Capricorn has been going through it for quite some time, as it has been the home of Pluto (our planet of death and transformation) since 2008. Currently, Pluto is at 00° Aquarius and slowly moving in retrograde back toward Capricorn for one last fated meeting.
That we are getting a second Capricorn full moonthat is in the last degree of Capricorn and so, SO close to Pluto says: now's the time.
Do the thing. Make the change. Let it go. Make a choice.
Capricorn and Saturn force us to show up for ourselves - or not. Consequence may reign supreme this weekend.
I would suggest you show up. Do the thing. I am not a stickler to doing magic on every full moon - at all - but this is one I wouldn't miss unless I was physically unable.
Capricorn is also the natural ruler of the 10th house and by far the horoscope's shrewd businessman (nongendered). Tomorrow is one of the best days of the year to do money magic, ESPECIALLY if it's toward a particular goal. Wanna buy a house? What about making 10,000$ extra next year? Those are well within the purview of a Capricorn moon.
This year has been full of Capricorn energy. We had a Capricorn new moon in January, Capricorn full moons in June and July, and we will see another Capricorn new moon in December.
There's still time to tap into this energy. Six months from now will be a Capricorn new moon - what do you want to have accomplished in six months? Set reasonable goals for yourself and then put one foot before the other until you get there. Celebrate on the new moon once it's done.
Tomorrow also marks the first of three squares between Mercury in Leo and Uranus in Taurus, which is THE big aspect of Mercury's upcoming retrograde cycle. This can be used for creativity of all kinds - Uranus is where we get inspiration and enlightenment. This adds a bit of volatility to the day, though; Mercury is quixotic at best, and Uranus is incredibly unpredictable.
Mercury and Uranus are two sides of the same coin, or at least they are intricately interwoven. Both are volatile enough to not particularly care that they are square with one another - they can work together anyway. Tomorrow is a great day to set intentions around creativity. Maybe to draw 3 days a week or to write for 20 minutes every day. Then, use that Capricorn energy of the moon to make it happen.
The energy is all lined up; we might as well use it.

Transiting Sun enters Sagittarius
Thursday, November 21 - Saturday, December 21, 2024
Sagittarius the Centaur*:
• Fire (identity - enthusiastic, energetic, creative, passionate, assertive, freedom-loving)
• Yang (levity - outgoing, expressive, logical, left-brained)
• Mutable (adapting to learning - distributing, connecting, flexible, scattered)
• Transpersonal (universal - focused on ideals and abstractions)
• "I seek"
• Ruler - Jupiter; exalted - Neptune (in Ms M’s Cosmos)
• Color: rich, deep reds and burgundies. Think royal robes.
*Gleaned almost completely from the book Astrology for Yourself by Bloch and George; the rulerships and color are my own theory/belief.)
+++***===***+++
Sometimes when I am doing the research and setting up the document, I see very clearly what and how the transit is liable to go down. And this is one of those times.
What stands out to me is that, less than an hour after the Sun enters Sagittarius, a sextile matures: Sun/Sag sextile Pluto/Aquarius. It’s the first major, non-lunar aspect to be made to Pluto in its new sign. (Although if you’re sensitive to lunar aspects, the Moon opposes Pluto on Wednesday the 20th at 13:52 UT.) Since it’s the Sun in Sag, I think we start this transit out with high hopes. We can see opportunities (sextile) and are eager to take advantage of them. But, it’s a long transit for Pluto the Water-Bearer. And we can’t approach it with the same old attitudes and rules.
(Tangent - Pluto the Water-Bearer - what’s he carrying? A full chamber pot? A pitcher of margaritas? What do you think?)
Anyway. Allow a day or so on either side of these aspects:
Thursday, November 21 - Sun/Sagittarius sextile Pluto/Aquarius, 0°02’. As discussed, we’re eager to get underway.
Sunday, November 24 - Wednesday, November 27:
Sun/Sagittarius trine North Node/Aries, sextile South Node/Libra, 3°27’
Sun/Sagittarius (4°30’) sesquiquad Chiron Rx/Aries (19°30’)
Sun/Sagittarius trine Mars/Leo, 5°34’
Mars is moving terribly slowly as it approaches its retrograde station. In other circumstances, these aspects would signal a huge boost in self-confidence. But, Mars is only nine days away from that Rx station, and the sesquiquad to Chiron indicates that our timing is off. Be careful that bravado doesn’t backfire or blow up in your face; recognize where you’re overdoing it, or being overbearing. (Trines don’t necessarily mean good; they just mean easy.)
Saturday, November 30 - Sunday, December 1:
Sun/Sagittarius semi-sextile Juno/Scorpio, 9°28’
Sun/Sagittarius (9°32’) sesquiquad Eris Rx/Aries (24°32’)
New Moon, 9°33’ Sagittarius
New Moons mean the time is right to start something - but with that Eris sesquiquad, we may be too angry right now; and with Juno, we may be getting bad advice. Remember also that Mercury is retrograde, and Mars is about to be - not good auspices for starting anything.
Wednesday, December 4 - Saturday, December 7:
Sun/Sagittarius square Saturn/Pisces, 13°01’
Sun/Sagittarius conjunct Mercury Rx/Sagittarius, 14°27’
Sun/Sagittarius (14°36’) semi-square Ceres/Capricorn (29°36’)
Sun/Sagittarius (15°22’) semi-square Pluto/Aquarius (0°22’)
Sun/Sagittarius opposite Jupiter Rx/Gemini, 16°15’
Damn. This, I think, is where we learn about old attitudes not working any more. We need a thorough overhaul of how our brains work. Much of the Mercury Rx in Sag is about wrapping our brains around very “foreign,” “alien” ideas. I would hope that, if we’re thwarted, we can learn and grow…? Hold your tongue, no matter how much you want to speak and be heard - even if the words come out the way you want them to, it’s going to piss someone off. Besides, “Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.”
Wednesday, December 11 - Thursday, December 12:
Sun/Sagittarius (20°24’) semi-square Venus/Aquarius (5°24’)
Sun/Sagittarius (20°58’) sesquiquad Mars Rx/Leo (5°58’)
Sun/Sagittarius sextile Vesta/Libra, 21°11’
This setup has obvious sexual/romantic connotations. Here the Sun is aggravating the Venus-Mars opposition - maybe unintentionally, maybe with good intentions, but still making things worse. Mars is hot hot hot, and Venus is ice cold. And Vesta just wants to get back to the library. Maybe if we stay in the library, we can avoid this stuff, or postpone it for better times.
Sunday, December 15:
Full Moon, 23°53’ Gemini
Sun/Sagittarius inconjunct Uranus Rx/Taurus, 24°07’
Sun/Sagittarius trine Eris Rx/Aries, 24°07’
Perhaps a little verbal blowing off steam. The Sag Sun loves to preach, the Gemini Moon likes to talk, Eris is pissed off, and Uranus likes to provoke.
Wednesday, December 18 - Sun/Sagittarius square Neptune/Pisces, 27°10’. Ending on the proverbial wistful note. We really do have a lot of work ahead of us. Are we going to dedicate ourselves to working on a better world, or are we going to drift off into escapism?

December 2024 Important Dates
AKA my notes on The Astrology Podcast's December Forecast, hosted by Chris Brennan and Austin Coppock. We're entering this month fresh off a Mercury retrograde, which is fitting for my delay in posting. I'll be skipping the events recap for now. Aside from the Planetary Alignments Calendar above, here is a graph of planetary transits:
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/ce55ca657056f383acc81e4f9664ea36/cf8906ad5ac589ad-41/s540x810/0105e52db8bdc7837c37b33135c50a26b6eebdd6.jpg)
December 1st - New Moon in Sagittarius The New Moon today sets the tone for the month. In this case the Moon moves to a square with Saturn right afterwards, bringing a somber tone, and Mercury retrograde doesn't help clear anything up. The lights also trine a slow, temperamental Mars and conjoin fiery fixed star Antares ("lesser Mars"), bringing a combative component.
December 5th - Mercury Cazimi This marks a renewal of Mercury's cycle and brings a wrapping-up energy for the remainder of the retrograde:
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/0e1550c925010cdaf8ed54e987591c3b/cf8906ad5ac589ad-1a/s540x810/6fdce723a3ccdb21bd5886c98f4e6a2ff4883d68.jpg)
December 6th - Mars Retrograde
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/f8cfcdfc52ad3aeaec41081931a21d9c/cf8906ad5ac589ad-09/s540x810/ced99dd57602863b1d2d255ff682ad2548894093.jpg)
The last Mars rx in Leo was from December of 2009 to March of 2010, so events in our personal lives from 15 years ago may resurface, repeat, or rhyme. In general, Mars is closest to Earth in its orbit, making it brighter in the sky and visible for larger portions of the night. At the heart of its retrograde, Mars will rise when the Moon does. Austin describes it as "maximum Mars, but nothing is moving"--the topics are still there, but things aren't moving forward like we want them to. Pluto (♒) opposing Mars (♑) during this time (January 3rd, April 27th) brings us an impulse towards extremes: destruction, obsession, and not letting go despite the high cost to ourselves.
Not only will this hit the Leo houses of our charts, but it draws in the previous house containing Cancer as well. For example, a Scorpio rising may experience this in the 10th and 9th houses--first there is an issue of career (10th), but they realize it's actually about their philosophy and values (9th), and then return their focus to career (10th) with things making more sense. This can also play literally as a "duderang" effect where men, masculine people, and other Mars figures bounce back into our lives (especially if it's in a relationship house like the 5th/7th, or aspecting the rulers of these).
On a broader scale, historical parallels may be drawn with other Mars in Leo retrogrades: December 1945 - February 1946, and December 1977 - March 1978 (in addition to December '09 - March '10). This is a weird one because the next Mars rx is not 15 years down the road, but just a few: January - April 2027. Events now will be previews of things soon to come. Additionally, Mars normally spends around a month and a half in each sign, so the retrograde making him spend an inordinate amount of time there sets the tone for us for the next few years--how do I direct my drive and ambitions in this area of life?
December 7th - Venus enters Aquarius, Sun conjunct Jupiter, Neptune Direct This puts Venus in a rough position, as she immediately conjoins Pluto and then applies to an opposition with Mars until the 11th-12th. It'll be easy to see the worst aspects of relational dynamics between Pluto's paranoid power plays and Mars's aggression, taking Venus's chill temporarily off the table...but it's only for a week!
December 14th - Auspicious Electional Chart (not pictured)
At around 11:20AM local time, the Ascendant should be in the early degrees of Pisces rising. This is the most fortunate chart in the month for new ventures and undertakings, with a Pisces Ascendant ruled by a 4th-house Gemini Jupiter, who in turn is in mutual reception with Sagittarius Mercury about to station direct. (Generally dates after this will start to be more auspicious because of the direct Mercury.) There's also an auspicious Moon-Jupiter conjunction about about 15 Gemini, meanwhile Venus is separating from Mars difficulties and applying to boons with Jupiter (even though she's in the 12th house, a sextile from 10th-house Mercury mitigates this). This election is especially good for 4th house topics like home, family, and privacy. As an angular but invisible house, the 4th house can be likened to the director's chair: a vital and influential player who's behind the camera rather than directly visible on-screen. There is also good for more public 10th house topics.
December 15th - Full Moon in Gemini, Mercury Direct This connotes positive motion in Mercury retrograde topics, and Venus further brings in some positive energy with a sextile to Mercury now that she's free from being squeezed between Pluto & Mars. She's also applying to a trine with Jupiter.
The Full Moon (23♊) squares Neptune (27♓), so despite Mercury's direct motion we may still have issues with communication. Things are being said, but what do they mean? Where are we actually going? Luckily, Mercury will oppose retrograding Jupiter on the 26th with mutual reception.
December 19th - Venus Trine Jupiter (not pictured) With Mercury direct some of the chaos has died down, so the middle of the month is a nice reprieve from some of the difficult events earlier.
December 21st - Sun enters Capricorn
December 24th - Retrograde Jupiter Squares Saturn Mercury further activates this exact square by hitting an opposition to Jupiter (13♊) on the 26th and a square to Saturn (14♓) on the 27th. This marks the first quarter/waxing square phase of the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction cycle which began in December of 2020. Chris predicts there will be another economic issue manifesting these themes of growth vs. contraction--though it's not until we see the final hit in June that we'll know exactly what this has all been about.
December 30th - New Moon in Capricorn By now Mars has regressed back to 01-02♌, putting him in a prime position to oppose Pluto (01♒). This lunation really bakes in this signature for the next (lunar) month. There's a temptation to take things too far here. Power from behind the scenes also comes into play, like billionaires censoring media platforms they own according to personal preferences and agendas.

Sunday, December 3rd 2023 Sun in Sagittarius ♐️🔥Moon in Leo ♌️🔥
Today’s energies could be lively and social but could also be an emotional rollercoaster.
The bold and passionate Moon in Leo will square Uranus in Taurus. Emotions could be all over the place causing mood swings or impulsive behavior. There’s not a whole lot of concentration going on today and forget about any kind of patience.
I hope you can keep your hands and feet inside the ride at all times because Venus in Libra is squaring Pluto in Capricorn. Relationships get a dose of drama as Venus takes a nose dive craving a deeper connection. Compulsive behavior will make it hard not to fall for temptations creating intense situations. Venus rules love and money. Guard your heart or wallet where applicable.
Now that all the change has fallen out of your pocket, there’s another twist ahead as the Moon in Leo sextiles Venus in Libra as well. This may be the best part of the ride as a touch of love and harmony is added to this cosmic joyride. It’s that part of any rollercoaster where you feel calm after just experiencing some scary falls and the smooth flow shows up.
The ride isn’t over yet. The Moon in Leo will then shift into pragmatic Virgo. This turn will help you check your brain and gain some composure so you can get off the ride and back to the details of things. You can reorganize and find satisfaction in problem solving. Health matters will also come into focus so listen to your body, check for bumps or bruises or go throw up if you need to.
The day ends with a bit of a curveball as the Moon in Virgo opposes Saturn in Pisces. The day of fun is over causing some melancholy or challenges expressing emotions. Use your awareness to guide you through a bit of fog at the end of the day.
The day is filled with emotional highs and lows so do your best to stay balanced. Focus on the good times. It may feel like all good things always come to an end but new beginnings are also on the horizon. 💚💫

Outer Planet Astrology 6 November Week
I’m going to try doing this again - it’s nice to do a bit of writing and follow the aspects of my favourite dwarf planets.
I don’t follow Pluto because while it’s pretty much the same as Eris in size - it’s covered by a lot more people. However it’s really active in the energies of other Dwarf planets this week. It’s a very Plutonian battle for survival kind of week, so lets get into it.
Eris
Eris is very much in its retrograde and this is interesting because it’s also conjunct the North Node - the speed of the two points are roughly the same and they’ve been within a 1 degree conjunction since 29 August and will remain so until 14 December. The way these two points have lined up to keep this going is pretty rare - the closest I can see to this was in 1968.
Eris can often be about standing your ground and fighting for your space, and conjunct the North Node it will be aiming for that survival. This time round that came to a fore when Mars opposed Eris and Hamas attacked Israel sparking off Israel’s brutal reprisals. Last time round, when Mars trined Eris the USSR invaded Czechoslovakia.
So we have real fight or die energy present and on Saturday the Moon will oppose this. We may be looking at emotional exhaustion and an attempt to balance the high energies we’ve had over the past month.
Sedna
Sedna is on a slow retrograde. It starts the week just ten minutes into Gemini and by the end, it’s 6 minutes into Gemini.Sedna will re-enter Taurus this month - a sign it’s been in since 1965 and only just left.
On Wednesday, Sedna will have an exact trine with Venus. There’s also a less exact trine to Pluto, making this a grand trine. This feels to me like an opportunity to interrogate values - why you hold them and whether they serve you. Added to all this, there’s a close square between Saturn and Sedna. Which makes me think we’re not just interrogating our values, we’re jettisoning some of them. The bad end of this could be getting rid of your moral code. The positive is very similar - how many scruples do we hold that aren’t healthy? Can we get rid of them?
On Thursday the Moon will meet Venus. This could make things more emotional, if this whole thing shows up in your chart. This could be a useful time to consider things but on Friday Mercury is opposite Sedna. This could create a situation where people let their ethics get in the way of doing the right thing. Excluding people for being immoral when they might need us. Offering the enemy no quarter when we may actually need to come to a compromise.
Orcus
Orcus is sextile the Sun for the end of the week, becoming exact next Sunday. The Sun is at 16 degrees of Virgo. This may be a time to get lost in your thoughts and interests, if you’re susceptible to this aspect and feel like indulging. Or if you can’t avoid doing so.
Gonggong
Gonggong closely opposes Lilith all week. Lilith in Virgo is such an odd symbol - the Virgo is the Virgin, and Lilith is the OG monster fucker. I feel that Lilith in Virgo is Lilith throwing itself into doing the right thing so deeply that it loses itself a bit. Or rejects it entirely. This may be morals, but it could also be self care: having a twenty part skin care regime or saying fuck it and buying some cigarettes.
Gonggong is a planet of revelations currently swimming in emotional Pisces at 4 degrees. If this interacts with your chart it may emerge as a realisation on what you can and can’t manage. It may be a time when you flip between too much dieting and self-care, and not enough. Or vice versa.
Haumea
Haumea is trine Saturn within 1 degree - Haumea, an egg shaped world of growth and expansion, is at zero degrees of Capricorn. On Saturday, it trines Saturn in Pisces. This sounds quite nice, a chance to reduce your expectations for growth and live within your means. Something we maybe need at the moment. Haumea is square to Pluto all of this time, which feels honestly awkward because that means it’s semisextile Saturn. Haumea may have a sense of expand or die, while Pluto absolutely can’t see why Saturn is trying to put on the breaks.
The Outer Planets Weather
The key concept for the week seems to be values - are they good? Even if they are, can we afford them? Eris and the North Node gives us a sense that now is the time to push forward if we want to be able to hold our ground. However, this has been going on for an age and this week offers some chances to step back and reconsider. Or be exhausted and give up. Consider your options carefully

Hello, I saw your post about sending our natal chart to see ways that we can make money and I was curious. Hopefully this is the correct one. 💕 Thank you!
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/67644cc585c76e3787120b51dd9f026b/85a6723169233cc3-b2/s540x810/162b14fbeac06fe3c200a8a6d38a9851bd4afb62.jpg)
2nd house in sag
2nd house ruler (jup) in tenth house
pluto in the 2nd making a square with jupiter
venus in the 7th
lets go
okay so the sag 2nd house shows a multitalent persona. you may have gifts in a lot of arenas , but whichever one brings out the most transformation out of you and others, will be the thing that gets you the most money.
pluto in the 2nd shows a money making machine. So there are multiple ways for you to make money you just have to see it through by changing your beliefs (sag).
Whatever it is you strongly believe, i'd work on that the most.
Sagittarrius is big on being out of the norm at times, and jupiter in the tenth shows that your belief system and your character will be how you make the most money.
Jupiter in the tenth shows a respectable character, but also someone who can attract people to them just for being likeable. With that being said, I'd play on my persona a little.
pluto is also the ruler of your first house, so again your personality will be extremely important in how you attract money.
venus in the 7th house in gemini shows partnerships, credible sources, and working with the mind.
a lot of your partnerships will be made by being in small groups and pinching ideas to others. venus is opposing the first house so again your charm will play a big part in how this works.
venus squares jup - the 7th house/10th house axis is a pretty solid connection. even with the square venus and jupiter create a beneficial outcome. the only thing you gotta do is SAVE SAVE SAVE..... And keep count of how much you splurge onto others. boundaries is important here.
venus squares moon/uranus in the 4th while jupiter opposes moon/uranus
this is something that may not bring you the most comfort at first, but it will be one intrigues others and brings you out into the public eye (4th to 10th house axis).
moon/uranus conj - be more unconventional. express your beliefs, your ideas, and allow them to take ship.
uranus square venus - unique. being the odd one. embracing artistic quality that goes over some peoples head (you can say the same about the venus/neptune connection to)
trines neptune - this might be something that connects you to the imagination. playful giddy ideas can attract the most money.
neptune and venus are connected to art in some way shape or form, it also has a lot to do with spirituality and mysticism.
hope this helps!
sn: sun conjunct saturn in 8th sextile 10th house jupiter
your character (sun) that you hide the most (8th house) is what attracts a following (jupiter)
it also trines the asc in scorpio so your complex, mysterious nature is what attracts financial support from others (8th house). you have to create a foundation (saturn) for others to follow. however that jupiter is going to be the icing on the cake ;)

🌑 march 2023 lunar events 🌑
hello friends,
today we're looking at the lunar events of march 2023! i apologise that this post is a little late, i hope you can still find it helpful :-)
kira xo
1st - the month begins with the moon in waxing gibbous, in jittery gemini. we might be feeling a sense of urgency, like we're scurrying to prepare for the climax of the month, and the respite we deserve afterwards.
7th - the full moon in virgo arrives. it's time to embrace both sides of the healer and take care of our minds and bodies. during a full moon, i like to clean my house, tie up any loose ends, meditate, take a long walk and jounral, reflecting on the cycle that now comes to an end. at the same time, saturn is entering pisces, a major transit that may leave us feeling anxious or overwhelmed by the serious side of life. the moon is trine uranus in stoic taurus, bringing a calm and creative outlet to this uncomfortable time. the sun is approaching a conjunction with mercury, while the moon is opposing it. we may find ourselves stumbling over our words, finding it hard to convey our emotions, but revelling in self-expression. we might be feeling anxious or insomniac, but rest assured that this transit will pass, and give yourself permission to rest and recover during it.
8th - now the waning gibbous, and things start to slow down. with the moon moving from busy virgo to the more leisurely libra, we are feeling more congruent and finding it easier to balance ourselves out. it's a time to weigh up our options and count our blessings, while holding space for the parts of life we can't be grateful for.
12th - the moon in scorpio forms an easy trine to mercury in pisces, making for a wonderful time to embrace journaling. we might not be feeling too talkative, but this is a good time to clear our heads via a diary, or a creative pursuit. our close connections feel that much closer today, too.
15th - now we reach the last quarter. the moon is in sagittarius, forming a trine to venus in aries, squares to mercury and neptune, and an opposition to mars in gemini. this is when we might start feeling ready to prepare for the upcoming lunar cycle, ready to move forwards and find a new horizon to follow. that being said, with the harsher aspects to mercury, mars and neptune, some of us may be feeling stuck, frustrated, or like the way forward just isn't clear. spending some time reflecting on what it is we want to bring with us, and what we don't want, could be quite helpful here.
16th - the moon enters capricorn, forming a sextile with saturn in pisces. after a rocky day, things seem clearer now. today is a good day to "get back on track"; have things been overwhelming and piling up? let's show ourselves some kindness and take the time to reorder.
21st - congrats, it's a new cycle! today we meet the new moon in aries. the sun and moon are conjunct mercury and sextile pluto in integral aquarius and mars in flighty gemini. during a new moon, i like to take a moment to reflect on what's led me here, to assess where i'm going and why i'm going there, and to write down my goals for the month. with so much dynamism in the transits today, there needs to be some release, or we might implode. whether that's physical movement, mental exercise, mindful walking, or meaningful connections with loved ones, it's important we come out of our shells and embrace the power of today's transits.
22nd - we enter the waxing crescent phase, with the moon exactly conjunct with mercury in aries. this is generally a quiet phase, while we first start doing the work we need to for this cycle. but with so many planets in aries and a moon-mercury conjunction, "quiet" isn't quite the right word... now is a great time to say what we need to say and make ourselves heard, since we're able to convey our feelings clearly and concisely. conversely, watch out for interpersonal conflicts and impulsive behaviour, as we might be struggling to slow down.
29th - we've reached the first quarter, with the moon in cancer. it's loosely trining saturn in ephemeral pisces, and is conjunct mars in cancer. now is when things start heating up, but with so much water, we might actually be feeling sluggish or withdrawn. it's okay to protect our peace and take a moment to retreat, but we need to get back up and get back to work when we can. arguments can get ugly for a little while, so we need to take care to be patient with our loved ones.
30th - the waxing gibbous brings in the end of the month, urging us to finish working towards what we started this cycle, in preparation for the next full moon. the moon in cancer forms an exact square to jupiter in aries, so we aren't out of the woods of our emotions yet. everything feels bigger right now, the good and the bad.
31st - we end with the month with a bang, in the form of an opposition between the moon in leo and pluto in aquarius. nothing feels simple right now, and we might have the desire to shut the world out. but the moon in leo tells us to keep our hearts open and see the strength in being vulnerable sometimes. taking a few minutes to centre and ground ourselves might be helpful here, so that we can end the month on a more peaceful note.

Let's say that this was the horoscope of Jane Doe, a Supervisor at Walmart and she was calling me for a consultation. I'd receive the call and we'd have an initial introductory talk for a few minutes ending with when and how we'd do the consultation in the future.
Once off the phone I'd go to one of my computers, enter her birth data and look at the chart for a bit. The first thing I'd notice is the upper hemisphere emphasis, which suggests that she had to find out who and what she is out in the world as opposed to getting it the ideal way, which is from the parents in the formative years of development.
Then, I'd look to see if there are any indications of parental concerns in the horoscope and they are there. Pluto, ruler of the 10th, squares the Sun and Venus, ruler of the 4th is conjunct Saturn. That last contact would make me think, "Hmm. Saturn on Venus is relational challenging, especially in the 12th. Hmmm. What about the sexual profile?" The sexual identity is a 5th House factor and what happens to that identity when in the act with another is an 8th House factor. Mercury rules both Houses and is conjunct Neptune, ruler of the 2nd. So, somehow, someway, what's suggested is a self-worth concern that contributes to, is a leading factor in sexual insecurity of some kind. It can be any number of things....a reliance on masturbation because of the fantasy factor; porn; an inability to reliably have an orgasm when engaged in the act with another, etc.
So, when we have our consultation and I say, "Your horoscope suggests that there is an uncertainty of self-worth tied in with sexual factors and a control factor of some kind on the overall relational capacity," I'm not going to be surprised when she tells me she's gay.
All too often, those involved in astrology look at one thing as being good and another as being bad. Every single person has a horoscope with both challenging and easy aspects, which many refer to as bad and good aspects. I don't look at it that way. Every person has a lesson to learn that is important for soul evolution. These lessons are shown in the horoscope via the challenging aspects. You grow through challenges, not from being on the beach every day having as much fun, food, and drink as you want without having to pay for it. The core part of Robin's dharma necessarily involves growth through relationship challenges and I didn't even mention that the Moon, ruler of the 7th, is squared by Neptune and Venus is at Sat/Plu. Plus, the Sun rules intercepted Leo and is squared by Pluto. There's no doubt about it. If she wasn't gay, she'd just be another person learning lessons about herself through failed relationships until she learns and relational fulfillment happens later in life than is usual (Venus-Saturn).
Don't look at hard aspects as bad and trines and sextiles as good! Look at them as lessons to be learned and lessons that have been learned.

Week of 8/19-8/25
astrology forecast + collective tarot card for the week
Card for this week: 5 of Pentacles - this card generally points to either current financial/material losses to cope with, a lack mindset, or difficulties with asking for help in a challenging time. you may be subconsciously limiting yourself from going out and pursuing what you'd love, telling yourself you don't deserve it or maybe you're not even letting yourself consider your options. whether the losses in your life are material or perceived, you might be responding pretty similarly! rough patches and losses this week are likely redirections and you're challenged to remember that your friends and community are there to help you, just like you help and support them! lean on one another in your time of need this week, it'll bring you closer together and help you to weather the storm. This Too Shall Pass vibes.
Transits/Astro forecast: i am glad to be writing these on a weekly basis weekly because i think i can only handle one week's worth of look-ahead here at a time. another very intense week! retrogrades remaining dramatic (as they were) - back up files, print an extra, always keep a time cushion, check in with yourself and how you're feeling more than you think you'll need. really. ground yourself! as we know- current rxs are mercury, chiron, saturn, neptune, pluto. at this point, honestly just round up on the timeframes to reflect on and think about everything that has ever happened to you. for good measure. we'll get to move on a bit next week (trust me, i checked).
as for specifics-
monday: full moon in aquarius opposing the sun/mercury rx conjunction (cazimi), venus opposes saturn rx, sun squares uranus, and jupiter squares saturn rx .... i honestly do not know where to begin here. reader, literally every one of these is aspecting something deviously in my chart. i find the deep fry is getting all of my weak points out into the open and just.... clearing the decks. if you aren't down for a factory reset ego death, you may find this week's energy a bit intense. just know when i pen next week's weekly, i will be a brand new person. the tldr here - you might feel highly scrutinized, extra emotional/reactive, facing plot twists left and right, attempting to dream of more but grounded by what is/has been. particularly if you have gemini/virgo/sagittarius/pisces placements prominently in your chart, you'll be feeling this energy pretty heavily.
the moon will move pretty swiftly into pisces after that aquarius full moon and it'll start aspecting all that chaos i listed above. moon aspects are pretty brief and constant, given how fast the moon moves, but i highlight it because it will bring even more emotion into what's already pretty vulnerable and raw. cannot overemphasize how important it will be this week to check in with yourself and regulate your emotions, because they Will be coming out.
nothing notable adding to the pile for a few days, then sun enters virgo at 10:55 am eastern on thursday the 22nd. that beloved time of year to get your act together. it's not too late! venus will square mars later on thursday night, which brings some tension in your relationships. ground where you can... how often are love and hate two sides of the same coin! you may be quick to nitpick or quick to anger on thursday, especially in the midst of this other chaos energy, be aware of this as you go through your day.
friday night will have mercury rx sextiling mars - another opportunity to learn from your missteps and strategize how you want to proceed! combining with the new virgo energy in the air, it's time to cut down on the noise now and focus on where you go from here. venus continuing through virgo, mercury wrapping up its retrograde back into leo..... everyone's asking you what it is you really want and deserve. and what will it take for you to let yourself get there? sometimes you have a to have a little bit of a tantrum before you're able to be honest with yourself about your needs. meltdowns have a way of clarifying what you’re actually after and how you actually feel, narratives aside. do not resist what you know to be true, even if it’s inconvenient.
stick with it this week. this is the peak of the mayhem, it will feel a lot better to move forward if you let yourself confront what may emerge this week. alchemize your pain so you can meaningfully move forward! things that hurt extra this week are ready to leave your narrative, it's in your hands to let them leave.

Happy Almost New Year!
Today (at 5:27PM EST) is our black moon at 09° Capricorn. This is a special and highly potent new moon for several reasons. Firstly, it's a black moon - aka the second new moon in one calendar month. Secondly, it is the second Capricorn of the year (we had one back in January).
This is concentrated "2" energy, which indicates that it can be used for movement, building on what has come before it to work towards manifestations of all kinds. If you don't have a plan for this energy already but really want to work with this new moon, look back to what you did on the first Capricorn new moon in January or our Sagittarius new moon earlier this month and either repeat it or build upon it.
This solar-lunar conjunction doesn't make any close aspects to our other planets, but it is widely square to our lunar nodes (08°) and sextile to Saturn in Pisces (06°). Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn, so that is the stronger connection point - set attainable goals if you are making resolutions for the new year during this time.
January 2025 starts on Wednesday - you'll see a greater breakdown of the astrology of the month then, but for now, we should consider the overall feeling of the month. 2025 is a "9" year (2+0+2+5=9) which makes January a 1/1 month (9+1=10=1+0=1). It is both a beginning (1) but a beginning in a year of endings (9) - perhaps said a different way, January is the beginning of AN ending.
The Sun spends the month in Capricorn and Aquarius, Mercury in Sagittarius, Capricorn, and Pisces, Venus in Aquarius and Pisces, and retrograde Mars in Leo and Cancer. There are no outer planetary movements this month, but they ARE making moves, so we need to keep our eye on them.
The big movements for the month are our lunar nodes, which will leave the axis of Aries-Libra for Pisces-Virgo. That's at the end of January, but it's going to be ever-present all month long.
Venus enters Pisces on Thursday, and retrograde Mars in Leo meets up with the North Node in Aries in trine and opposes Pluto in Aquarius through the end of the week. Some relationships (all kinds, not just romantic) are still ending, creating rocky waters as we all attempt to adjust.
Our big win of the week is that Mercury exits its post-retrograde shadow at 22° Sagittarius on Saturday, which ends half of our retrograde story. But Mars will be retrograde all the way through to the end of February, and Venus will retrograde in February as well, so we are in an ongoing story of personal planet retrogrades, so it's a small blessing, at most.
It may be hard to feel like celebrating the change in years this week. If that's you, know that you are right on time.
I'm still offering 2025 transit readings (a wide look, not as detailed as my monthly transit reports) on my KoFi - they will compare your natal birth chart to the major transits of the year to give you a heads-up of what is coming your way. They should be up through the end of the week if you want one. (I'll get them to you ASAP).
Energy Update: December 2024
December is a “2” Universal Month (12 (December) + 8 (2024) =20 = 2+0 = 2] in an “8” Universal Year. Two is a movement number – things begin to balance out from the pure creation of the energy of the “1” month prior, and decisions start to present themselves. This aligns poorly with the astrology of the month, which is dominated by two major personal planet retrogrades (Mercury and Mars). In order to seek out balance or come into alignment with what is, we may need to work backward.
The Set Up
We begin the month with the Sun and retrograde Mercury in Sagittarius, Venus in Capricorn, Mars deep in its pre-retrograde shadow in Leo, retrograde Jupiter in Gemini, Saturn and Neptune in Pisces, retrograde Uranus in Taurus, and Pluto in Capricorn. This month, we will only have two planetary ingresses: our Sun will enter Capricorn, and Venus will enter Aquarius. This is due to Mercury’s retrograde, which ends on 12/15, that keeps our planet of Communication, Travel, and Technology in the sign of its exile for an exceptionally long time.
The Details
All eyes are on Mars, which will retrograde on 12/06 at 06° Leo. This retrograde will stretch into the new year; it ends in late February, but the post-retrograde shadow will continue until the beginning of May. This is the Big News Bear of the month as it will impact our entire holiday season, but it also sets the tone for 2025.
Mars
Mars gets top billing this month due to its upcoming retrograde on 12/6. This isn’t a post specifically about the retrograde (that’ll be out later – look for it in your email if you’re signed up for my mailing list), but it is significant enough to warrant a brief discussion. Mars is the slowest moving of our personal planets and tends to retrograde every 26 months or so. Because this planet dictates our modes of action and energy levels, we can expect forward motion (as a whole) and output to be lower during Mars’ retrograde periods. This is business as usual and the expected result of a Mars retrograde, but that doesn’t mean that people will be comfortable or accepting of this outcome.
Therein lies a lot of the struggles of a Mars retrograde cycle. Many of us (especially those ruled by Mars – Aries and Scorpio – or those with strong Martian placements) rely on accomplishments and consistent action to regulate our nervous systems. When thwarted, the Martian temperament can get aggressive and moody. Some types can be pushy or overtly forceful, and if one thing is for sure, it is that nothing should be forced during a Mars retrograde. Let it unfold slowly, and try to enjoy the ride.
This retrograde starts in fixed fiery Leo and ends in cardinal watery Cancer. A lot of people are going to fuck some shit up so that they can feel like they are still sitting on their throne and likely cry about it later.
It’s wise to remember that the planets aren’t here to hurt us, no matter how much our dysregulated brains might try to tell us so. Instead, if we look at planetary retrogrades as an opportunity to review, restart, realign, reassess, and rejuvenate, they can actually be valuable times of othered space. Each planet in retrograde adds a layer of the liminal to the space soup, and the more planets in retrograde at a time, the more liminal our space becomes.
It’s worth noting here that Mars’ retrograde overlaps with Mercury’s in December by five days (from 12/6-12/15). These are powerful days to slow down and assess where your life is and what you need to change to move forward. This is especially fortunate for those who celebrate the new year in January, as it is an early chance to align yourself with your goals for the year ahead.
Mars will station direct on 2/23, so this is a long-game transit – much longer than Mercury’s month-long retrogrades. Other than slowing us all down (and probably causing some significant tifts over the holidays), Mars won’t be doing much this month as – during the time when a planet stations (changes directions) they tend to hold their position in the sky for an abnormally long time. If you have a personal planet in the early degrees of the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius), you might feel the strain of Mar’s lack of movement all month. Expect things to get angsty. Expect divas to be on the very biggest tears. It is what it is; I find Leo’s energy pretty easy to walk away from if it’s getting to be too much, but your experience may vary.
Iron gate boundaries might be in order, especially with that incredibly demanding family member who never figured out that they aren’t the main character in your life. You might find that you need to do less; if you do, know you are right on time.
Mars retrogrades are almost inevitably challenging. Even if you can manage your own life slowing down (some of us even like it this way), you still have to deal with the absolute temper tantrums of those who can’t stand still for whatever reason. Stay aware of the Aries, Scorpio, and Capricorn types in your life (Sun, Moon, Ascendant, and Mars placements mostly here) or anyone with Mars in Cancer or Leo. They may be seriously losing their shit (and, if so, iron-clad boundaries, as I said), but they may also just need support as to what to do when you can’t do.
This retrograde aligns well with the season of withdrawal (lovingly called Fallowtide by some) but less well with our hustle-and-bustle holiday season. It’s okay not to do anything, especially if you are prone to low energy for any number of reasons. Take care of yourself often and early.
Our Lights: The Sun and the Moon
Our big win for the month is our two new moons – the first in Sagittarius on 12/01 and the second in Capricorn on 12/30 – which bookmark our month. Our Capricorn moon is especially auspicious because – as I have mentioned elsewhere – in 2024, we had two Capricorn new moons and two full moons. If, as I suggested, you have worked the Capricorn moons this year, this is your fourth and final chance to do so. Even though it is early from a calendar perspective, I would do any magic working or intention setting for 2025 during the hour of the new moon on 12/30. Capricorn is THE sign of long-term planning. Use that to your advantage.
We begin the month on 12/1 (always significant as the 1st dictates the energy for the month ahead) with a new moon at 09° Sagittarius in a t-square with Saturn at 13° Pisces and retrograde Jupiter at 16° Gemini. It’s worth noting two things here. The first is that Sagittarius, the sign of our lunation, is ruled by the planet Jupiter, which is currently in the sign of its exile, Gemini. Luck is on the fritz right now, and all that glitters is most certainly not gold. Additionally, this square between Jupiter and Saturn is Ascendanting meaning that the two planets haven’t actually met at a 90° angle; we are working towards this square, not away from it.
This square between Jupiter and Saturn, currently in Pisces and Gemini, will be a major player in the energy of 2025. The planets meet in an exact square on the Pisces-Gemini axis and the Aries-Cancer axis. Luck may have gone awry, but this is an opportunity to glimpse what lies ahead.
So you are saying, there is a chance. On this day the answer is almost irrevocably yes.
Our Sagittarius new moon is a 9/2 new moon. 9 (Sagittarius moon) + 9 (Sagittarius Sun) = 18 = 1+8 = 9. 9 (Sagittarius new moon) + 2 (December 2024) = 11 = 1+1 = 2.
We are in the midst of some big endings, symbolized by the “9” energy, but the “2” echoes the glimpse into the future and the choices that lie ahead. This is a day well spent in divination or pathfinding of all kinds.
Our Sagittarius Sun squares Saturn on 12/04, which should not surprise anyone. Everyone is being held accountable for their actions in some way or another. This is business as usual; the Sun squares Saturn twice a year, but I’ve always noticed that it seems to show up like clockwork when the world needs it the most. Any Sun/Saturn transit adds a lot of power to magic used for justice and to hold people accountable for their actions. The sign of the archer can be especially helpful for Justice spellwork as Sag has a natural desire toward the highest good. If you work with runes, the Tiwaz rune would be especially useful during this time.
Our full moon falls on 12/15 at 23° Gemini. It is mostly unaspected besides a square to Neptune in Pisces, which carries energy similar to a major lunation anyway. This is also the day that Mercury stations direct at 06° Sagittarius. The twofold nature of switching, Mercury in direction and the Moon in purpose (wax on/wane off if you will) can be used to enact many types of magic for change. Mars is retrograde by this point, though, so be careful how you word anything focused on movement in the physical world during this time. Think Road Opener rather than a spell to force direction.
Our Gemini full moon is a 3/5 full moon. 3 (Gemini moon) + 9 (Sagittarius Sun) = 12 = 1 + 2 = 3. 3 (Gemini full moon) + 2 (December 2024) = 5.
3 is our Manifestation number (useful for all types of magic), and 5 has the go-to-itsness to break through nearly all barriers.
Once the Sun enters Capricorn, it squares the lunar nodes on 12/23. Our lunar nodes will leave the Aries-Libra axis for Pisces-Virgo at the end of January; this is the end of the line for this cycle. Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, can work too hard to keep the peace at times; where are you saying “yes” when you really mean “no” in your life? This might be one less thorn in an old wound or pass less painfully. Cardinal signs are the most likely to notice this transit.
It all comes full circle to our new moon at 09° Capricorn on 12/30. This lunation is still in a wide square to our lunar nodes and is also sextile to Saturn, echoing the energy of that early Sun-Saturn square. Both Saturn and the lunar nodes rule something you could classify as fate or destiny. But in a less woo way than many would use the terms today. Some things are meant to be. You live. You die. A volcano erupts. A major plague races across the land. Because you took your first breath at this exact time in that exact place, you will live through these things. Because our Moon touches on both, but not in exactitude, I would expect all of us to be contemplating our place in the universe a bit during this lunation. Both where we have been – our place in this existence – and where we are going.
What can we can do to help? (Helping is the best way to actualize Capricorn energy)
Our Capricorn new moon is a 2/4 new moon. 10 (Capricorn Moon) + 10 (Capricorn Sun) = 20 = 2+0 = 2. 2 (Capricorn New moon) + 2 (December 2024) = 4.
I have to giggle at this because I consider Capricorns to naturally carry a lot of “4” energy around with them. “4” is a very balanced number; it is all about structure. What are Capricorns doing if not shoring up their world to protect it from the elements? (as is their nature, being born in the deep winter months) When considering the power of the Number 4, I would ask you to think of the older man-made structures still standing. Did the Egyptian pyramids come to mind? That is “4” energy; it grounds in all directions; it has longevity. Again, this 4 energy makes this a great day to do magic or set intentions for the new year ahead. You may wish to set an intention that will become manifest by the Capricorn full moon on 7/10/25.
Mercury
For the first half of December, Mercury will be moving backward in retrograde towards 06° Sagittarius, where it will station direct under the light of our Gemini full moon. This is notable because Mercury is the ruling planet of Gemini; this will be a day highly invigorated with Mercurial energy. We should all realize by now that Mercury retrograde is business as usual and simply a change in the expression of our “normal” Mercury energy. I’ve written more about this particular Mercury retrograde here.
It’s worth also remembering that Mercury is in exile in Sagittarius because Sagittarius is the opposite sign of Gemini, the sign of Mercury’s domicile. In Sagittarius, thoughts can be demanding, and people can become convinced that their way of thinking is the only right way. We all need to watch out for intellectual elitism and educational superiority, two bad behaviors of Mercury in Sagittarius. Every lived experience brings a different story and background to the table, and we need each to function together rather than separately. This is the first hit on this lesson, and it will take on a greater meaning as our North Node enters Pisces next month.
This retrograde cycle involves big hitters Jupiter in Gemini and Saturn in Pisces. This circles back to what I said above about Jupiter square Saturn having a big part to play in the year ahead. We often visit troublesome aspects through Mercury first. This cosmically makes some sense because when presented with a problem, to proceed, the best course of action is usually to think something through. Keep in mind that in firecracker Sagittarius, Mercury does not seem inclined to take that kind of time.
It is an oversimplification, but Jupiter brings the Go/Expansion energy and Saturn the Stop/Retraction energy. This is interesting because Jupiter gets nothing but space to expand in formless, airy Gemini, which you would think it would like, but it really doesn’t (it is the sign of Jupiter’s exile), and amorphous watery Pisces does nothing to give Saturn the form it so desperately requires. Neither giant is at its best, making them more demanding. In this case, Saturn will always be the rock, and Jupiter is playing the role of the hard place.
Mercury has to pass through this vice three times. We’ve done this once while Mercury was in forward motion and when Jupiter and Saturn weren’t in a very tight square. The second pass happens early this month between 12/04 when Mercury opposes Jupiter (each planet in its exile, a nasty untethered opposition) and 12/06 when Mercury squares Saturn. We might want to expand during this time (or just jump out of the way of the rocks rolling downhill toward us), but there’s nowhere to go. This is the hole of Mercury’s retrograde cycle; I’d bet most people fall into it somehow.
Alternatively, you could be trying to get your ball rolling, and one thing after another keeps getting in the way. This kind of aspect works both ways, sometimes both ways in the same situation, which can be extremely uncomfortable.
That the Mercury-Saturn squares goes exact as Mars retrogrades on 12/06 tells us a lot about the character of that day. Just don’t. If it’s not Essential, emphasis on the Capital E, do it another day. Things generally grind to a halt for a reason. You can force the wheels or look for a rock in the tires. The choice is, of course, up to you.
And then, just in time for Christmas, we get our third pass-through of this rough t-square between Mercury, Jupiter, and Saturn between 12/24 and 12/26, this time with Mercury in forward motion. If you need to make amends for anything you said out of line earlier in the month, this is the time to come clean about it. The more you take responsibility for your own part in this mess, the less pressure Saturn will put on you. Always placate Saturn first; Jupiter is too all-important to care about turn order.
Things will feel a bit easier after Mercury’s retrograde ends mid-month, but Mercury remains in its exile all month long as it tracks its way all through its post-retrograde shadow in Sagittarius. The benefit of Sagittarius is that most Sag will tell the absolute truth as they see it. Sometimes, that includes coming clean about things, too. It should be no surprise that this will be a holiday season full of hard conversations; we can hope that at least they include honesty and words spoken from the heart. (Sag sometimes needs to be reminded they have a heart, but they will come in strong once encouraged there)
Mars will greatly overshadow this retrograde, but keeping it in the back of your mind is still important. If that person is just talking out of their ass, maybe make a snide comment to yourself, blame Mercury, and walk the fuck away. If it takes an extra two hours and a detour to get to Gramma’s house, that’s two hours less of talking to Uncle Eddie. Make sure you are sending those nudes to Tara in Sales and not Tara, your boss, if you know what I mean. Things tend to go awry during a Mercury retrograde cycle when we are on autopilot and not paying attention.
The easy and obvious anecdote to that is to pay attention. Standard Mercury retrograde advice applies: save often, double-check before you hit Send, and expect delays. Your friendly neighborhood Geminis and Virgos will be down for the count like they are every Mercury retrograde. The energy of all things communication, technology, and travel will be slower and deeper as Mercury wanders the low road. The more you can work with Mercury’s energy rather than against it, the easier your life will be.
Mercury exits its post-retrograde shadow in early January. We will have relatively smooth sailing with our planet of communication until the end of March and early April.
Venus
Venus is almost two full signs ahead of our Sun and Mercury all month long as it begins the month in Capricorn and ends it in Aquarius. It is on its own journey, which doesn’t really include stepping in to help out with the inevitable squabbles that are bound to come up all month long as both Mercury and Mars retrograde in fire signs. Venus can be pretty far out there in the fixed air sign of Aquarius and, at times, even unattainable.
Venus makes two major appearances this month. First, Venus will conjunct Pluto at 00° Aquarius on 12/07. Pluto is our outermost planet and seems responsible for the erosion of all things through the lens of time itself. Of course, in Roman mythology, Pluto was the god of the Underworld. On a long enough timeline, all things end: nations, marriages, lives, and this world.
Pluto has never before been in the sign of Aquarius when astrologers knew of the planet’s influence, so we can only surmise what this new journey will bring to humanity. But we will taste it through a Venusian lens this month.
Then, on 12/12, Venus opposed retrograde Mars in Leo. This is pretty big break-up weather, but that shouldn’t be anything to worry about if you are in a safe and secure relationship. Leo and Aquarius aren’t that different from one another (Sun sign opposites are and should be ready as a pair), but where they differ is very stark. Where Leo is a traditionalist, Aquarius is pointed straight toward the wildest of infinite possibilities. Leo wants the world, and Aquarius wants the universe. They can become aligned but often choose not to out of ego and the inability to step off their respective daises.
Fixed signs aren’t inclined to move; that much is for sure, and this will go doubly for all Martian and Leo types during this time. If anyone is going to give an inch, it will have to be Aquarius.
Although I specified break-up weather, I want to clarify that relationships do not always involve love, sex, or romance. We are in a relationship individually with each of our family members, with our best friends and our worst enemies, and with our bosses and coworkers. American culture puts a huge emphasis on love and sex, but relationships exist of all kinds. We talk about wars between nations but rarely about wars within families or workplaces. The interplay between Venus (receiving) and Mars (giving) shows us how our relationships are flowing – even international ones between nations. Together, they give us an idea of how easy it will be to get along.
Oppositions are fidgety and difficult to read, even for the most seasoned astrologer. Sun Sign opposites can differ in specific ways but are also quite similar and desperately need each other. The conflicts that will arise during this time CAN be resolved, but it calls for somebody to step down and let the other by. Neither planet looks well poised to do so, which is generally unfortunate. We still get free choice, though; that’s the beauty of how the above is reflected below: the planets dictate that there will be conflict, but WE still get to choose what we do when it happens.
What is worth fighting for? Is it worth standing up to the one you love the most? Is it worth standing up to your family? Is it worth standing up to the world?
Many of us have to grapple with this right now, and I think many people will say resoundingly, “Yes.” I’m not here to give you the correct answers because my trials and choices will differ infinitely from yours.
What I am here to say is that there is a reason (in the skies and our lives) why people are going to choose Fight this holiday season, and we should think about both how we are making those choices for ourselves AND how we should respond when someone decides they want to fight with us. The big flex all month will be to pick your fights, but we all know that will be easier said than done.
I’m choosing to discuss conflict in the Venus section for a reason. Diplomacy plays as important a part in conflicts as Action, though culturally, we often downplay this. Venus in Aquarius can be talked into looking back at the rest of us earth landers, but only if you speak to her higher nature and propose something new and innovative. Venus in Aquarius doesn’t have time for momentary peace; it wants the whole package or nothing at all. The craziest idea might be the one that is the solution all month long.
Jupiter and Saturn
Our two intermediate planets, Jupiter and Saturn, play a major role in dictating the pace of our lives. Jupiter, the planet of Luck and Expansion, quickens everything it touches, while Saturn, the planet of Time and Consequence, slows or halts. We need both of these forces in our lives. They are moving in and out of squares for the next year.
The first square happens on 12/24 with Jupiter in Gemini and Saturn in Pisces. Neither planet is at its strongest here, but Saturn probably wins out due to Jupiter being in its exile. Expect things to be slow. But that’s also indicated by our Mars retrograde, so let’s say it’s extra slow. This first square includes Mercury in Sagittarius square to Saturn and opposed to Jupiter. This is a harsh mutable t-square, which will have everyone scrambling but few finding solid ground.
You may notice this repeating cycle of three squares (one in December and two next year). If it sounds awfully like a retrograde cycle, that’s because it is. This is happening because Jupiter (being the faster-moving sign) has caught back up to Saturn (by degree) and is now going to retrograde forward and back again thrice across Saturn’s path. Jupiter and Saturn will both change signs in 2025 in synch with one another – this will put a lot of stress on the line between Gemini-Cancer (for Jupiter) and Pisces-Aries (for Saturn). We will be in this push/pull cycle for a while; this is just the first pass.
Looking Forward
Hello January! Hello 2025!
The big deals in January will be our Mars retrograde and the changing of the guard as our lunar nodes slide onto the Pisces-Virgo axis. The big deal for the year is that Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune all change signs in four months. As we move into each new sign in 2025 with our Sun, Mercury, and Venus, we are forced to confront all of our outer planets in unison. We are on the event horizon now.

2024 Leo Crescent Moon
Monday, June 10, 04:34 UT, 4°48’ Leo
The key phrase for the Crescent lunar phase is “gather and mobilize resources needed for our intentions.”
This could go off the rails fairly quickly: the Leo Moon in this chart opposes Pluto Rx/Aquarius, and they’re both square Mars newly arrived in Taurus. A fixed t-square, oh horrors! It is going to be easy, almost irresistable, to go into dramatic (Leo) swoons of despair about the impossibility of any kind of support being available.
If that doesn’t seem productive, here is an alternative. First, recognize that there is some barrier to confront, which we need to work through/around to get those “resources.” We may underestimate our own power to achieve it.
Next, we’re going to consider if that barrier even exists any more - we may be assuming that something long gone is blocking us.
Then, we determine if we’re responding to it ineffectively. What do I mean by that? Well, I’m a couple of days short of my 66th birthday; my approach and reactions are very different from when I was 46 - or 32 or 19 or 4. If something confronts me, I’ll probably start out with the panicked reflexes of the frightened 4-year-old - and then I’ll remember that I’m well into my Crone years, I’m not helpless, and I can do something about it.
We may have to settle for working on this over time, which is perfect for Mars/Taurus. Maybe the resource we need is a little self-reliance? Determination? A sense of humor? The Moon in this chart has just sextiled Jupiter/Gemini; luck is on our side if we make room for it. There are further sextiles to Mercury, the Sun, and Venus, all in Gemini; as well as trines to Chiron and Eris in Aries. Maybe the resource we need most of all is optimism.
