Saw my friends doing this FR lair census thing and of course I had to do one too cause I love statistics and graphs.
Total of 200 of my dragons. Long post of graphics and my ramblings below:
Iridescent and shimmer sound about right for favourites figured ghost would be up there too but didn't think it would be number one.
For primaries: iridescent is on 40 of my dragons. Second place goes to poison with just 15 dragons with third place being starmap at 12.
For secondaries: shimmer is number one with 45 dragons having it. Second place is bee with 24 dragons. Third is spinner at 17.
For tertiaries: ghost is number one with 28 dragons. Second is capsule with 24. Third goes to glimmer with 21 dragons.
For colours obsidian sure is popular, it's popular on the site overall after all. 39 dragons. Second place colour is white at 24. Third one goes to midnight with 21 dragons. Black white and purple also for some reason. Surprised with midnight. Green comes in only at fourth with seafoam being on 13 dragons. There are multiple other dragons tied at fifth at 10 dragons each, several being green shades though.
Next dragon flights in my lair. Wind and nature being the biggest was no surprise, though surprised I have more nature than wind, though I suppose I haven't gotten as many dragons lately than when I was back in nature so I guess that makes sense.
The runner ups of ice, light & lightning having the most after them makes sense as well, given they're the flights I've been in besides the two green ones. Shadow is surprisingly low for my first flight but I suppose I got rid of most of my old dragons from back then.
As for breeds it's about what I expected. My favourite modern breeds: wildclaws, skydancers and coatls being up there, imperials are quite a bit lower than I'd expected I guess I just don't have as many even though I like them.
I have a large amount of pearlcatchers despite not liking them that much due to somehow ending with several breeding pairs consisting of atleast one pearlcatcher and I sometimes keep their hatchlings for myself.
I like aberrations, veilspun and aethers a lot but I just haven't been getting as many dragons as back in the day so I haven't gotten that many of these breeds.
The gender leaning more towards male was no surprise. I definitely prefer male characters over female characters, though with these dragons it doesn't matter that much so they're not completely outnumbered. 121 male dragos and 79 female dragons.
It seems I was most active getting dragons in 2018. That would have been a year after I returned to FR in 2017 after taking a break soon after I started back in 2015. It's leading by such a huge margin though, wow. 91 dragons from 2018 while I got 21 in 2017 and 20 in 2021. Since I didn't play in 2016 I only got 2 dragons from that year, I just happened to buy two several year old dragons within the last couple years. Needed their specific colours for projects and they happened to be the ones that fit.
Other observations:
A pic of some of my front page dragons. The green colours do surface here and there. I was expecting more green, though I suppose it makes sense, as I have taken green in as part of my identity in just the couple last years while I've been playing FR for twice as long.
This is the colours of the dragons I've sealed in my hibernal den. It seems I have a pattern for dragons who I've deemed my least favourites..
Fun look at my clan's leader pair and its hatchlings I kept. I kept one for almost all the flights I had been in, except shadow (since I properly made my clan only after moving to nature), ice (for some reason?) and wind (I had stopped breeding the pair by then)
Looking at the colours of triplets from the same nest. It's wild how their colours settled so perfectly despite the huge colour range difference in their parents. This is why I specifically kept them.
Spotted that 3 of my primal collection dragons were hatched on the same day. Must have been a good day for primals.
And lastly part of what contributed to the amount of obsidian dragons. The brief amount of time when I really wanted a bunch of obsidian primary dragons for some reason.
#fr#flight rising#lair census#i fucking love statistics#so much fun filling this out and looking at it#i cheated a little bit and put in the future stats for one project that's still in the middle of being entirely changed#well it'll end up looking like that so i figured i might as well#also looking at my 1 singular basic gene#found the perfect dragon for my sona at the time in 2015 but the tertiary was a bad colour so i kept it as basic#always gotta gene my dragons no basics otherwise

trying to buy a dragon from a newbie be like 'how to make a good offer without making them think I'm trying to rob them bc I'm giving too much money'
I'll never know how to negotiate prices, I'll always want to overpay.
#flight rising#it's a rare-colour derg and hes cute and I want to breed a Wildclaw with his colours#and I have a fallback strategy for a breeding pair but their chance of getting me the derg I need is at 0.2 percent 0.1 if going for a male#so not the most fun to breed considering that one of the parents would be a coatl and their cooldown is LONG

a vermillion/thicket/jade hatchling from fern and malachite! 1 off/goal/goal from 10/1/6 color ranges. could have been a glimmer wildclaw, but this is pretty good! makes a nice match with my other potential final parent, but theyre both male so i have to wait a bit longer.
#tütensuppe#project spam#parents are ginger/thicket/peacock (glimmer wildclaw) and cherry/thicket/seafoam (circuit coatl)

Talos is a glitched g2 imperial! His parents are a wildclaw and a coatl so it looks like he was given a scroll, but he was born an imp. His dad used a hacked imp scroll and was changed back later on, but talos remains

list of breeds from most chaotic to least chaotic
UPDATED FOR OBELISKS! I’ve also updated the ranking for Ridgebacks!
1. Spiral
Spirals are the MOST chaotic. it’s very rare to find a Spiral without chaotic energy. Spirals have both chaotic energy in the sense of being chaotic, pulling pranks, being impulsive, etc, as well as literally having chaotic ENERGY. they are ridiculously energetic
2. Veilspun
Veilspun, being a Shadow breed, are very chaotic. In ways, they could almost beat Spirals with their chaotic energy. Veilspun are a LOT like fae (not the breed. I mean like faeries hjfkl). extremely mischievous, often even manipulative, Veilspun are not a breed you want to mess with, don’t let their tiny size fool you. their chaotic shenanigans are often a lot more than just shenanigans. Veilspun can and WILL commit arson and you CANNOT stop them
3. Nocturne
Nocturnes are natural tricksters, so obviously, they’re pretty chaotic. they can be pretty energetic, but most of their chaotic energy goes into pranking and being impulsive. they’ll also copy other dragon’s chaotic energy, so putting a Spiral and a Nocturne in the same room is a VERY bad idea
4. Skydancer
Skydancers are surprisingly very chaotic! though it is possible to find one without chaotic energy. Skydancers tend to be either quiet or chaotic, there’s not much of an in between. they’re similar to Spirals in the sense that they have a lot of energy! the only reason they’re below Nocturnes is because it is possible for a Skydancer to be less chaotic, where Nocturnes are naturally tricksters and it’s rare for them to not have chaotic energy
5. Mirror
Mirrors have a good bit of chaotic energy! they have a bit of both sides, though they don’t always tend to be pranksters. for Mirrors, their chaotic energy typically is portrayed through physical energy and also being CURSED. Mirrors are the dragons that would send a really cursed meme through the group chat at 2AM. Mirrors will also just scream for no reason
6. Wildclaw
Wildclaws are pretty similar to Mirrors in their chaotic energy. they’re less cursed, but will definitely scream in the middle of the night for no reason. they will also fight Mirrors in a battle of cursed images. they’re typically less cursed, but if a Mirror is cursed, a Wildclaw feels the need to be more cursed than them. neither will stop so some dragon will have to attempt to stop them before everyone has to bleach their brains
7. Ridgeback
Ridgebacks are like Coatls, but they’re more likely to encourage chaotic dragons in their shenanigans. they probably won’t join in. so your boy totally forgot about Ridgebacks “borrowing” tendencies. Ridgebacks are absolutely the most likely to rob an entire bank and promise to return it all later. they never do. they’re also probably one of the LOUDEST breeds, you can hear a Ridgeback from 10 miles away. so yeah, chaotic thieving bastards
8. Bogsneak
Bogsneaks are more of the cryptid kinda chaotic than anything else, but they’re still chaotic. just... cryptid chaotic, if that makes sense. kinda ominous mothman energy. they’ll just stare at you while they commit arson
9. Fae
you wouldn’t think it by looking at them, but Fae can be surprisingly chaotic. they don’t always outwardly appear to be, but they will quickly bounce off of another dragon’s chaotic energy (this is mostly because the Arcanist is 100% chaotic neutral and you cannot tell me otherwise)
10. Obelisk
Obelisks aren’t naturally chaotic, but they are extremely enthusiastic helpers. so if they’re in a chaotic clan, they themselves will also be chaotic. due to being so enthusiastic to help their clan and/or friends, they will jump right in to assist with chaotic shenanigans. and sometimes they even put in more effort than their friends, which can turn a shenanigan into a disaster. if their clan is not at all chaotic, they most likely won’t be either. but if they move from a relaxed clan to a chaotic clan, they will quickly adjust and jump in on chaotic shenanigans
11. Coatl
Coatls aren’t inherently chaotic, but they do tend to enjoy the company of chaotic dragons as they find their shenanigans fun. on occasion, a Coatl will join in on chaotic shenanigans
12. Tundra
what’s a chaos? they’re not against chaos, they just really don’t know what that is or how to do it. they’ll just give you a thumbs up even though they have no idea what you’re doing or why. they’ll probably cry over any cursed chaos though
13. Banescale
doesn’t really understand the concept of chaos. doesn’t understand why you’re doing that, but hey, if you’re having fun, they aren’t gonna say anything. they’ll just give you a weird look. some can have some chaotic energy though, but mostly just through being very loud and not thinking about what they’re saying
14. Pearlcatcher
they scream when other dragons are chaotic. “JERRY, NO, THAT’S ILLEGAL!”. they do not condone chaos, they try to get everything under control but they just end up sitting in the corner crying. they don’t know what they’re doing
15. Imperial
not chaotic. don’t try to resolve anything, they just stare blankly. they know there’s no point trying to control they chaos so they’re just “yup. this happens. I’m just gonna go on with my day, I don’t even care”
16. Snapper
also not chaotic. tries to parent chaotic dragons like “no, that’s dangerous, we aren’t going to do that.” they tend to be more successful than Pearlcatchers because Pearlcatchers do Not know how to control chaos and they just panic. Snappers are chill and will give the dragon the facts as to why their chaotic shenanigan is a Bad Idea
17. Guardian
similar to Snappers, but are more overprotective about it, especially if their charge is the chaotic dragon. they refuse to let their charge be chaotic because if they get hurt, the Guardian will feel like it’s their fault for not stopping them. they will fuss over chaotic dragons and give them the parent talk like “NO, YOU’RE NOT GOING TO DO THAT, GO TO YOUR ROOM”
18. Gaoler
the complete opposite of chaotic. successfully can manage chaos because they’re scary and most dragons don’t want to mess with them. the only dragons they can’t control are Spirals because it is impossible to make a Spiral not chaotic. they’ll have difficulties with Mirror-Wildclaw cursed wars as well, but are normally able to succeed after a bit
#fr#flight rising#breed info#headcanon#joke#kinda#but also not#i don't feel like tagging every single breed#just pretend that they're here#not tagging as lore because it's not... really lore#obviously these are just suggestions#because i have a chaotic gaoler#so all dragons have the possibility to be chaotic#this is just their chaotic levels for the typical dragon of that breed

If you don't mind, I'm uneducated on the dragon game you're referring to but could you maybe explain what the dragon type things mean? Just as I'm curious to like why what he has is so lucky
sure!
so on flight rising there are 11 flights, and in your daily gathering you can find unhatched dragon eggs depending on what flight you choose to scavenge in. right now is also an annual event called 'night of the nocturne' where you can gather, get event related chests, and open them for items/apparel and the eggs of nocturne dragons
you can hatch these eggs and get something called a first generation dragon, which means that it has no parents
there's a wide range of colors for dragons to be. when you hatch one of these eggs, the hatchling's three colors (primary on the main body, secondary om the wings [plus mane depending on the dragon breed] and tertiary, which isn't visible until you give it a gene) are decided by RNG
certain color combinations are very popular or desirable, and getting them on a first generation dragon is even more so because it's all a matter of your RNG luck (and the none/none on your dragon's page looks nice and clean to many people)
what my boyfriend hatched, robin/rose/rose, is a very pretty pastel dragon with a lot of potential. it's also a great trans pride dragon, depending on what genes you give it.
featured- a wildclaw with fade/paint/glimmer genes, a coatl with giraffe/bee/underbelly genes, and a banescale with basic/striation/squiggle genes
when hatching a certain flight's egg, your dragon's eyes will match the flight, so orange for fire flight, red for plague, white for ice, etc.
he hatched a nocturne egg, whose eye flight is determined by RNG. he got ice, which is matchy enough to the colors without clashing. this doesn't matter to every first gen collector, but to some, matching eyes adds to the value.
so overall, getting an XYY pastel colored ice dragon with great trans pride potential from an egg is just really lucky RNG stuff
#flight rising#long post#this is kind of a lot but i wanna make sure i explained it right#let me know if you have anymore questions!

January Dragon Share: Day 25
The Breeding Project
Okay so, as a g1 lair, breeding projects are few and far between for me.
But, I have had a couple. Here’s my most notable one!
Cici (orange tundra) was part of an extremely longterm breeding project that might’ve even started during my very first year on FR! She, as a plentiful breed, was to be mother to every other breed ingame - including wildclaws and coatls.
Imp happened immediately, wildclaw actually didn’t take very long either all things considered, but coatl. Well. That took at least five years.
I got multiple cases of gem genes showing up over treasure genes, perfect colour clones of parents, and even a primal! But coatl eluded me until just 7 months ago, when Cashew FINALLY made an appearance!
So that project is done - at least until the next modern breed comes out!

Headcanons on Bicephalic a.k.a. Two-Headed Dragons, feat. garbage-tier edits from MS Paint
Banescales A two-headed Banescale will find convenience in the opportunities to grab and hold objects that a second mouth provides them. It's also helpful for grooming during shedding periods. In battle, a two-headed Banescale is a deadly warrior, able to dodge and strike with synchronicity like a dance—after much practice, at least. Though the siblings will bicker and snap at each other from time to time, largely they'll get along quite well, proud of the strength and ferocity the other maw provides.
Bogsneaks Given that they are naturally very solitary creatures, a Bogsneak with two heads is predestined for failure. Even if the body shares a single stomach, the heads will fight over food. They'll also fight over mates, possessions, territory, and anything else, biting and snapping and clawing despite the damage they're truly doing to their own body. Two-headed Bogsneaks are unlikely to live long because of this; only by going against their very natures will they be able to survive.
Coatls The Coatls' agreeable countenance is useful when two heads must spend an entire life together. Their love of warmth and their possession of long, plush necks often leads to the two heads rubbing against each other when nervous, happy, or anything in between. If the siblings disagree on how to treat a situation, they may hum loudly at each other and sometimes even nip. However, teamwork is more common, and oftentimes one will become more proficient at speaking common draconic, while the other will fill a different role in the relationship.
Fae The large frills on the sides of the Faes' heads make being close-quarter neighbors difficult. Young bicephalic Fae often have trouble expressing their emotions because the other one's fans will intrude on their own. Over time, the siblings will develop a system to keep out of each other's way; for instance, one head may always raise when emoting, while the other will lower, or they'll stretch farther to their respective sides. In battle, the brilliance of their magical ability and tactical knowledge will make a two-headed Fae a tricky opponent.
Gaolers Gaolers with two heads may be able to perform their duties even more efficiently, so their condition may come with a helping of pride. Their extra neck fur offers increased protection against the cold, and the extra eyes can grant the Gaoler a much wider range of view. Trouble will only arise if the siblings disagree on which order they want to join. This can put a very deep strain on the relationship between the heads and result in much arguing.
Guardians Two heads can either be the greatest boon to a Guardian or its ultimate downfall. This, of course, comes into play when the Guardian sets off on its Search. If the siblings are able to agree on a charge, or if the charges can be kept together easily, having a trustworthy teammate becomes a wonderful asset in looking out for danger. If something needs constant vigilance, one head can even sleep while the other remains awake. But if a single charge or a pair of convenient charges cannot be agreed on, a two-headed Guardian is its own worst nightmare. If one head is destroyed, the other head will die as well, and so the tension between the two will never let up throughout the Guardians' entire lives.
Imperials Given the frightening stigma the Emperor has created, a two-headed Imperial may well be killed and destroyed moments after it hatches. More forward-thinking parents may not be so worried as long as their child is healthy. Despite this, a two-headed Imperial will almost always feel like an outcast. They will often bond closely with their lair mates and not travel far, lest they be glimpsed by strangers who mistake them for something wicked, and will hide from guests. Of all the bicephalic dragons, Imperials are most likely to feel shame over what they are. This can sometimes lead to the heads fighting more due to stress, while other times leads to the siblings providing each other much comfort and deep friendship that they may not find elsewhere.
Mirrors These eight-eyed dragons are quite pleased with their unique appearance, which can be frightening to those seeing it for the first time and especially so to their enemies and prey. The heads work together gracefully when hunting, and they are a menace in battle, nipping and biting wherever their jaws can reach. Like Bogsneaks, bicephalic Mirrors are prone to infighting over food and resources, but their spats never get so far as to be deadly. Most of the time, the two Mirror heads are actually quite agreeable with each other.
Nocturnes A species already prone to "feedback loops," a two-headed Nocturne is even more likely to fall into this trap, repeating what the other head says or even saying the same thing at the same time. Young two-headed Nocturnes might get stuck in "mimicry dances," in which the heads will bob up and down repeatedly, staring at each other transfixed. Sometimes they learn to choose more carefully what they mirror and may even learn to mirror different things at once, while others will become so perfectly in-sync that it spooks their lair mates.
Pearlcatchers A newly-hatched bicephalic Pearlcatcher will still eat its shell, just like its single-headed counterpart. Sometimes both heads eat the shell, while at other times only one does, particularly if the other is more exhausted by the ordeal of hatching. Then either one or both heads will regurgitate a pearl, leading to a life of curious dynamics. Sometimes the dragons will decide to combine their pearls, sealing them together with both their mucus secretions. Then the pearl often becomes twice the size of a normal pearl, and may be more dumbbell-shaped than round. Other times the siblings choose to maintain their own pearls, which can lead to bickering and awkwardness until they figure out an efficient method of carrying both. Two-headed Pearlcatchers that share a pearl often also share an identity. They may go by a single name and both heads may act as one dragon. When each has their own pearl, more individuality is maintained, and they may gain a rather nosy reputation in their lair, with their penchant for gossip only enhanced by the fact that they can "see everything."
Ridgebacks Two-headed Ridgebacks are born partners-in-crime. Able to come up with any excuse for borrowing something, or turning the tides of a conversation by talking over the other dragon, the cunning brains have plenty of time to scheme. They are also a natural comedy duo and will work together in everything that they do. When they aren’t sleeping or eating, it is very likely the heads will be engaged in conversation, which leads to a lot of light bickering but rarely ever a serious argument—unless they are in the middle of a shedding period, in which case they are even touchy towards each other.
Skydancers This social, empathetic, and energetic dragon finds two heads more of an asset than a setback. There is no shortage of good company or good conversation with someone else always around to speak with, as far as the Skydancer is concerned. Possessing more antennae than the average Skydancer, the two-headed variety are especially attuned to magic and emotions. They may need more time apart from their lair mates because of this, but usually it is a useful tool to be so perceptive. They can detect each others' feelings so well that they usually do not fight, but if personalities clash, things can get ugly.
Snappers Two-headed Snappers are less likely to form in the egg or survive for long outside of it, given their short-necked anatomy that makes for a true split between the skulls less likely, but it is possible for two independent heads to form. Of all the species in Sornieth, the dragon whose existence is changed the least by having polycephaly is the Snapper. They tend to take life in stride rather well, and as long as they are able to eat enough food, there will be no qualms between them. Like Pearlcatchers that share a pearl, two-headed Snappers are more inclined than other species to take on a single identity.
Spirals Being the most energetic of all the dragons, a two-headed Spiral is nearly impossible to hold a conversation with. Both heads will talk at once about completely different things, and some may get competitive about trying to get their audience to listen specifically to them. Two-headed Spirals are more susceptible to injury as well. Though they are just as flexible as a single-headed Spiral, the two heads may not always agree on where to go or how to twist, which can lead to tangling, sprains, and even broken bones. These siblings must become masters of communication if they want to live their lives successfully.
Tundras The bicephalic Tundra lives a fairly docile existence. It will find itself in a unique position amongst its species, as even the poor memories of Tundra can recall the dragon with two heads. Two heads are not better than one here, and neither head will be any more adept than the average Tundra at remembering faces. Their sense of smell is just as keen, and the heads rarely disagree if someone is a friend or a foe. When there is a discrepancy, the siblings will likely collectively decide that the stranger is a foe. The heads don't like to quibble with each other, and likely won't remember a disagreement long enough for it to drive a stake through their relationship anyway.
Wildclaws Two-headed Wildclaws struggle within their own society, being that their extra head may give them the upper hand in battle; however, they will be discouraged from fighting within their own pack, given that their extra head grants them an unfair advantage. Therefore, they often fall outside the usual flight hierarchy, but can still form close bonds and a positive social standing if they are good hunters, defenders, or artists. The bicephalic Wildclaw might find peace in its exclusion from the social rules of its brethren, but may also lack a sense of belonging. If that happens, the siblings may fight with each other in place of other opponents, which can result in some very serious injuries.

Any breed headcanons for dragons?
I’ll just try to come up with one for each breed, lets go!(alphabetical or else I’ll forget one)
Banescale: They walk like birds with a little bob in their step. Long neck means that they also move their neck when walking
Bogsneak: Makes a terrible sound when snapping their jaws like a crocodile. They also have the strong jaw of one
Coatl: Tropical bird dances and gifts to attract mates whether coatl or not. Makes themselves and their hoard look as colorful as they can to impress
Fae: Eats bugs out of bigger clan member’s scales and manes. Gotta keep clean but it sometimes is awkward
Gaoler: Hatchlings get emotional when they lose their first pair of antlers. It’s a big stepping stone
Guardian: Their beards act like feelers and help finding items at the bottom of water areas
Imperial: Bad wing feeling. They feel rough and bumpy, not something you want to run your hand over
Mirror: Has so much energy that they sometimes just have to go run for seemingly no reason.Very good at quick dashes
Nocturne: They have three toes on their back feet, I will not let the art tell me otherwise. How do they perch!
Pearlcatcher: Runs on their back legs occasionally so that they can hold their pearls. They can be quadrupedal as well tho
Ridgeback: Surprisingly good at gliding. They keep close to the ground and use updrafts to keep going
Skydancer: Loud. They can and will scream at you. Guttural and sounds like a seagull
Snapper: Also a strong jaw like Bogsneaks but they sound like a shoebill when snapping. Likes gourds because they break them open with their jaws
Spiral: Hatchlings get tangled up with each other when playing. Their parents have to help untangle them
Tundra: They take a fondness in writing due to their memory. Attaching scented items to the page to help remember.
Wildclaw: Chirp when happy. They will get fluffy as well to show that they are comfortable
#I pulled some of these off the top of my head because I am bad at recalling when needed#thank you for asking!!#wizardcrow

I have a whole collection of 5 generations of Coatls to give!
First is the representative of the fire flight in my clan, Lunarflame. He’s more cool than cute but still respectable.(also very big at 8.39)
Then is is daughter Auroaglow, who took more after her mother wildclaw’s colors and genes. She’s pretty and elegant.(only about 7.34)
Then she had this beautiful son named Candycloud who became wonderfully pastel compared to his father which was kinda green. They just trying to be pretty and express themself happily.(7.97, trying to be bigger. Their wingspan is massive at 10.09 though)
Then his daughter is Candymagic, who took beautiful and soft pastels from her parents to be incredibly cute.(8.08, she’s full of love with 10.21 wings to match for softness)
And then finally her son, Moondust, who is just beautiful and shiny and moon colored bee and runes honestly makes him look like he’s been dusted by the stars or I guess the moon. Also he ignored that his father is incredibly dark blue.(and tiniest at 7.3)
I hope to breed Moondust soon to get another generation going in this linage of one of the representatives of my clan.
~~~~~~
oh thats nice!!! all of them are very pretty i really like candymagics name
