Hi! I have two questions about your version of Genshin: First, if you could turn your version into a game, what would its battle system be like? Or would it be the same as the original? What will the role of Childe and Fatuis be in your version?

TYSM for the questions! I love talking about things like my rewrites LOL

So for the battle system, I’d probably have it be turn-based, this could probably be because I just really like turn-based combat, it would be akin to Persona 5’s combat (I’ve only been able to play P5) or Baldur’s Gate 3 combat (Cause I’m obsessed with that game)

And an unrelated side tangent (Sorry I just love yapping LMFAO) I would have the OST be various jazz subgenres (Cause I absolutely love jazz and it has so many subgenres)

And if the rewrite did have anime openings, I would have the music be songs by 4hero, that resonate with the respective themes of each arc

I even have a list of the songs! I’ll link them in their titles

Escape That - General Series Opening (Would be made after the series ends)

Another Day - Mondstadt arc (First ever opening)

Golden Age of Life - Liyue arc

Hold It Down - Inazuma arc

Look Inside - Sumeru arc

I’d def want the openings to be like somewhat trippy, but heavily associated with their arcs (Via imagery)

Now about the Fatui, I definitely don’t want to reveal everything about them from the get-go, it honestly feels like Hoyoverse ruined their mysteriousness by oversaturating the game with Fatui appearances, alongside showcasing every single Harbinger within one video

I would keep them pretty mysterious and slowly tear away the threads to reveal their true nature and how they work

They’re on pretty good terms with the nations at the start of the story, having citizens believe that they have nothing but pure intentions

Some Harbingers are assigned nations to keep a close eye on, just so the nations are secretly monitored

The friendly facade will begin to slip away during the Liyue arc

During the Mondstadt arc, they’ll be foreshadowed

Now they won’t be the cause of every single problem behind the nations, I feel like Inazuma’s plot was shot in the foot because they just had to have the Fatui be the reason Ei’s such a tyrant, I feel like it wouldn’t hurt to just not have Fatui meddling occur in every single freaking major story arc

Now I do have some changes planned from some Harbingers that I can list out as of now

Pierro - I plan on keeping Pierro’s face and plans obscured, I only wish to reveal a bunch of the information surrounding him later on in the series (Since he’ll eventually become a major villain)

There is more about him that I have planned, but I’m hesitant to share, because I am heavily considering turning my rewrite into a webcomic, and I wouldn’t want to spoil major story beats before the rewrite even has a chance to breathe and soar

La Signora - I don’t want her to get killed off early on, cause I feel like that was done by Hoyoverse solely for shock value

Pantalone - He’ll be heavily involved in the Liyue arc

Scaramouche - I don’t want to give him a redemption arc TBH, I feel like my rewrite Childe deserves it more than him

It feels like Scaramouche only got redeemed so he could be extra marketable and whatnot, it feels cheap NGL

Plus I see no harm in a character being consistently a bad person who won’t change their ways, those types of characters are so much fun LOL

Childe - I’m heavily considering getting him a redemption arc where he learns to stand up for himself and to surround himself with the right crowd, as I feel like making him be a really recent newbie, who most of the Harbingers do not like

I plan on having the Fatui be the antagonists, but not the ultimate orchestrators

Oh and each arc will have a main group/team (OFC my Persona 5 hyperfixation is leaking in LOL)

What is the point in giving offerings to the gods and ancestors? The tradition of giving offerings dates back to prehistoric times. We see this practice in the Bible and ancient holy texts, as well as through evidence in archaeology, cave paintings, and tombs. Our ancestors thought giving offerings to gods and goddesses would gain their favor and keep misfortune at bay. Today, people give offerings in a variety of places where religious rites are performed.

Should Pagans Give Regular Offerings to Gods and Ancestors?

As a pagan, you might wonder whether you should give offerings to gods and ancestors. This should actually be a part of your tradition on a regular basis. To give an offering to a god or ancestor is like making an exchange or a deal. “I’m giving you this in exchange for that.” On the contrast, you can also give an offering to thank the god or ancestor for their support. Think of it like this, if someone you loved gave you a thoughtful gift just to say thank you, how would you feel? Wouldn’t you be grateful and more wont to bestow gifts upon that person, too? It’s the same thing with offerings to gods and ancestors – think of them as gifts.

Applying the 5 Love Languages to Relationship with Deity

I think of my relationships with my gods as friendships, partnerships and sometimes even familial or romantic. YES, I said it. So when we think about how we treat the ones closest to us, we should apply that process to our connection with deity. Even using the 5 Love Languages will help you understand how to treat a close spirit. Through services, words of affirmation, gifts, quality time, and physical touch.

Services: doing something in honor of your deity. For example, volunteering at an animal rescue for an animal that is sacred to your god/goddess (i.e. Odin – wolf rescue)

Words of Affirmation: this is as simple as praying or talking to your deity on a regular basis and telling them how awesome you think they are (yes, even the gods like to hear it)

Gifts: OFFERINGS, which we are detailing below

Quality time: spending time in meditation, trance, and in dreamtime reaching out to your deity. Listening to their messages and paying attention to their signs. Also communicating via divination like tarot, runes, etc.

Physical touch: No. I don’t necessarily mean you’re getting “physical” with your deity, unless that’s your thing. I mean dancing to honor your god, dressing in a certain way to honor your deity, basically honoring them with your body in some sacred way (whatever that might be)

Offerings to gods can include anything of beauty from nature.

What Do I Offer My God or Goddess?

Many people get confused on what offerings to give their gods, goddesses, and ancestors. This isn’t difficult and should be a fun part of your pagan practice. The key to giving good offerings to gods is to simply be mindful of what you are offering. Some gods and goddesses have preferred offerings. Look up your god or goddess online + offerings and I’m sure you’ll find some great suggestions.

Ideas of offerings to gods and goddesses:

Incense – research what type of incense your god or goddess would like the most.

Bowl of herbs or flower petals – research what type of herb/flowers your god or goddess might like then leave it on your altar.

Foods – certain types of foods can be used as offerings to your gods. These can be left on your altar or set aside on your dinner table.

Drink – a bowl of water or some other form of beverage associated with your god can be left on your altar.

Candles – you can dedicate a certain candle’s flame to the energy of your god or goddess.

Song – sing a special song or play a special song dedicated in your god/goddess name.

Poetry – if you love to write, write a poem or story for your god or goddess

Stones – offerings to gods of stone and crystal are also appropriate. Some deities are linked to stones…if you’re unsure, look it up!

Dance – ecstatic dance is one of the best ways to commune with your god or goddess, sacred dance honors them and allows them to speak and act through you

As you can see, there is no limit to what you can offer your god or goddess. First research what your god or goddess would prefer before giving an offering. But, if you don’t have a special kind of incense or you can’t afford that particular offering, give what you can. The gods aren’t jerks (mostly) and will understand if you give an offering with a pure heart. Keep in mind, don’t give offerings to gods that you wouldn’t enjoy receiving as a gift yourself!

After months of study and connection with Berchta, I had enough information to write a long article on her. Following my post, I realized something – this article all about her true nature and beauty was more of an honor to her than any physical offering. Why? Because it put her name out to the masses and taught those who might be searching for her about her origins, folklore, history, associations, and qualities. Things people might not find anywhere else on the web. Things that only come through a personal relationship with the Divine.

The Written Word as Offerings to Gods

When I found my goddess, or rather when she found me, there wasn’t a lot of information about her on the web or in books. Berchta was one of those obscure, nearly forgotten German goddesses from the past whose name mostly survives in nightmarish, European winter folklore. A few people had written their thoughts and experiences about Berchta on their websites, but it wasn’t enough for me. I wanted to know everything about her.

Creating a Sacred Symbol

For my artwork offering, dedicated to Berchta, I was inspired by her sacred symbols. Berchta carries a ring with keys on her belt – the keys to the cycles of life and to the other realms. I drew a ring with keys and then turned the ring into a spinning wheel, because Berchta is a spinner of fate (similar to the Norns and Fates). Runes sacred to Berchta make up the keys, which are decorated in sacred evergreen foliage. You can create a sacred symbol for your deities and ancestors, as well.

Examples of Deities and Appropriate Offerings

Aphrodite Roses, Perfume, Myrtle

Osiris Cedar, Dates, Myrrh.

Brigid Red Clover, Poetry, Candles.

Cernunnos Acorns, Coins, Evergreens.

Odin Wine, Mead, Pork

Cliodhna Mead Hagstones, Song.

Berchta Fish, Bread, Porridge

Ancestors Flowers, Tobacco, Family Recipes

What About Ancestor Offerings?

Ancestors are a bit different from the gods and goddesses as far as the types of offerings. Our ancestors make up our bloodline, so therefore we should put extra thought into the offerings to ancestors. If you have an ancestor altar or shrine of some kind, it’s best to leave their offerings on their altar. But always do what feels most appropriate to you.

What Did Your Ancestors Enjoy While Alive?

If you are giving an offering to an ancestor that you knew in life, think about what that person liked while they were alive. For example, maybe it was your grandfather and you know that he smoked cigars. You can offer a cigar or a bit of tobacco. Or maybe it was your great aunt and she loved tulips, a vase of tulips is perfect for her. Maybe your great grandmother loved caramel candies, leave a few of these on the altar for her.

The options are endless and it is really about being mindful and thoughtful of what you are leaving as offerings. Artistic offerings are always appreciated by the ancestors: poetry, song, paintings, sketches, etc. I also believe when we put time and effort into our family tree, this is a form of offering as it brings your ancestors’ memories to life. Telling stories about your ancestors and keeping their memory alive is the highest form of flattery.

Offerings to Ancient Ancestors

If you didn’t know your ancestor while they were alive, and let’s say you are giving an offering to your ancient ancestors, think about their heritage. Think about where they lived and what was common as far as foods back then. Perhaps a bowl of milk or slice of bread might be appropriate for those who lived in Europe in Medieval times. Or maybe leaving a bit of dried plant matter or herbs that were common in those times. For example, red clover for Irish ancestors, Elder berries for English ancestors, etc. Learn more about ancient ancestors and how to connect with them here.

Leave your offerings to gods and ancestors on separate altars.

How Do I Dispose of Used Offerings to Gods?

Many people want to know what they’re supposed to do with the offerings to gods and ancestors once sufficient time has passed. This is an easy enough question to answer. Do what you feel is best. However, it seems somewhat disrespectful to throw away certain things.

Here’s some tips on how to dispose of offerings in appropriate ways:

Food – if it was vegetable or fruit matter, throw it in the compost or throw it outside for the birds and wild animals to eat. The gods and ancestors would be appreciative of such a gesture. Trash it, if no other option.

Water/Wine/Liquid – can be poured as a libation outside on the ground. Don’t drink it after it’s been sitting out. Can be poured down the drain if no other option.

Dried herbs, teas and plant material – again, can be given back to nature or used in the compost.

Trinkets, jewelry, knick-knacks – you can keep these on your ancestors’ or gods’ altars and switch them out with the seasons (see section below on seasonal offerings).

Crystal and stone offerings – I tend to reuse my crystals and stones, even if they’ve been placed on my deity or ancestor altar. Once I feel they’re no longer needed for that spirit, I’ll cleanse it well and reuse it in some other way – in spells, rituals, or as offerings again

Seasonal Pagan Offerings and Conclusion

You might find that as the seasons pass you will get the urge to change your altar decorations. This can also include seasonal offerings to the gods and ancestors. For instance, if the summer solstice is on its way, you might want to take down your Spring décor (eggs, rabbits, etc) to make room for summer décor. This can include switching out plants, flowers, bowls of dried herbs and stones all dedicated to the gods and ancestors.

Seasonal Offerings to Gods and Your Altar

Often when I clean and reorganize my altar, I am thinking of what the gods associated with the coming season would enjoy. This typically includes different stones, dried flower petals and herbs, and even boughs or branches of evergreen trees. Depending on what gods you work with or what branch of paganism you follow, this will influence how you set up your altar and whether or not you change your offerings and altar décor with the seasons.

Be Mindful and Experiment

The choice is ultimately up to you what you want to offer to your gods and ancestors. The key to giving the best offerings is to simply be mindful and intentional of what you are giving. You wouldn’t invite an honored guest over for dinner and throw out a bowl of two-day-old leftovers, would you? So treat your gods and ancestors with just as much respect, if not more. Think about what you are giving them and whether or not they would really enjoy it if they were sitting across from you at your dinner table. While I’m sure most of the gods and ancestors are just happy to be recognized after years of being ignored, we still want to be respectful, polite, and thoughtful.

Things That Inspire Me (2): Music

[No spoilers/warnings whatsoever...as long as you don't look up the songs' context

Also there may be more links this time]

I would say music is the biggest, oldest source of inspiration to me.

Before anime, games or even cartoons, music is probably my very first interest.

For one, especially in my childhood, I tend to "associate" songs with life events (often overseas vacations), or certain periods in my life. Usually, I will be listening to that song at that moment quite frequently (i.e. I like that song very much at that time).

For example, the first time I went to Hokkaido, I was listening to (this version of) Wind Scene from Chronos Trigger. And now, whenever I listen to this song, I automatically remember that summer trip.

But the second time I went there, I was listening to a different (set of) song, so I associated another song with the memory of the second trip. This is one of them.

And then, that same summer, a friend of mine would leave to study overseas, and this remix of Tifa's Theme always reminds me of our last days together.

(As well as being one of my absolute favourites of all time)

So, uh, music has always been quite an important part in my life, frankly. I always don't know how to answer when people ask me "What are your hobbies?", but one thing I always reply is "listening to music".

But then, if you ask me "What genre of music? Who's your favourite artist?", I don't know how to answer that.

I must confess: I know almost nothing about popular music. Not in any languages or countries (not even my own). I know and like a few pop songs, but they are really just a handful. knowledge via jojo doesn't count

If I have to answer, I would say "anime/game music" in general. Most songs in this passage will probably fall into that category. I used to be a Vocaloid fan as well, so I guess Vocaloid music may also be one of the genres I like.

Besides being with me in everyday life (I do almost everything with music), music has inspired me a lot in my works. Of course I can't possibly "write music" (unlike describing anime scenes), but they have provided the atmosphere behind the scenes, even if they aren't "song fics". If I have to assign a "theme song" to every one of my work, I think I can do it.

I try to categorise the examples in terms of the different "feels" they give me, and the different atmospheres they correlate to.

I started the last passage with "anger/craziness", so I guess I will start this one with the same theme. And yes, all Higurashi soundtrack.

Higurashi has one of the coolest soundtracks in anime I watch, next to JoJo's (which is kinda cheating with how many songs JoJo has). Its "mysterious" songs are the best I have known, even outside of anime. They make those crazy scenes even crazier; and stand-alone, they provide a wonderful atmosphere when you are in for something crazy.

I have selected these three as my absolute favourite among the many songs of Higurashi (otherwise I would post the entire soundtrack). The main theme is pure mysterious, Kai is like searching for the truth, and Hayashi is arriving at a revelation. (TL;DR they are just plain cool)

I have discovered Higurashi not too long ago, but its soundtrack is now my go-to music when I am reading/writing/watching something dark (and is basically the theme song that plays whenever my Donald goes violent and crazy).

(Speaking of something dark involving Donald, those three songs above have been accompanying me when I am reading an awesome, ongoing long project by @cursegirlrabbit sorry for the tag: "Furious Revenge"!

It is primarily a DT17 fan fic about Donald "going missing", but with references, crossovers and side stories from basically anything Duckverse! It has been with me ever since I luckily stumbled upon it this January, and has impressed me all the way! If you have the time, I really recommend it!)

Next are sad themes, and I have chosen two with similar names as well.

Never Be Mine (from Battle Tendency) is more "explicit" in its sadness, painting a crushing feeling of sorrow. I think it is the best "sad" theme in JoJo, and it plays in two of my favourite sad death scenes too.

Never Coming Back (from Violet Evergarden) is more subtle, like a faint wisp of melancholy. While the previous song sounds like your loved one is dead in front of you, this one is more like you don't know if they are dead or alive, but they are gone regardlessly, and you will not be seeing them perhaps forever.

(Useless side note: Never Coming Back is the theme song for Ari the Aracuan Bird in my stories, whose first and best friend Clinton Coot will never be coming back ever again.)

The next section is...miscellaneous emotional? I am not sure how to categorise this. Basically music that is a mix of sadness/hope/love/determination (i.e. Mixed feelings that I can't put my finger on with my poor vocabulary). There are a lot in this category, but I have chosen two songs I have got to know more recently.

Main Theme - Hope (from Higurashi Sotsu) (please excuse the crazy rena thumbnail, the other video I can find is an AMV of literally the ending scene): This actually echoes my previous passage's section about bittersweetness in Higurashi, and I think this song symbolises it very well. It is a remix of the scary main theme of the Higurashi series, but it gives off a very different feeling. Like after a gruesome, bloody conflict, there is a happy ending. Not a perfect ending, but a resolution nonetheless. Not everyone (or anyone) could be satisfied, but we have tried our best, and we are finally at peace.

(This is the song I imagine to be playing, when, at the end of my DT story, Scrooge finally sympathises with Donald, atones, and reaches an understanding.)

Isabella's Lullaby (from The Promised Neverland): This is the single most beautiful song I have got to know in a year. I had seen this song from time to time before, but only listened to it in December of last year. And it is absolutely super powerful. (I know the version above isn't technically the original one, but it is the version I first listened to and like the most)

Isabella's Lullaby gives off the feelings of all the adjectives in the first paragraph of this section: There is sadness, but also comfort. There will be suffering, but also determination. There is going to be despair, but also hope.

(There is a scene I have imagined involving Clinton and baby Donald, inspired by this song. More info in a longer infodump about my Ducktales AU settings that I absolutely have to write it out.)

Last and least, there are songs that are...hyper? Basically music that gets you hyped. I don't usually write shounen anime-esque stuff, so they don't really have anything to do with my writings. But when I am reading something epic or gaming, I will play these in the background.

Brigid Deity Guide

Who is Brigid?

Translated as “The Exalted One” in Old Irish, Brigid is a Gaelic-Celtic Goddess of many things including fire, poetry, fertility, spring, and craftsmanship. Other spellings of her name are Brig, Brighid, or Brigit.

Not unlike many of the Tuatha Dé Danan, Brigid is thought to be a Triple Goddess, similar to The Morrigan. Some believe this means she is three sister goddesses or that she is one goddess made of three different aspects. These sisters, or aspects depending on your belief, would be Brigid the Healer, Brigid the Smith, and Brigid the Poet.

By far Brigid was one of the most popular goddesses of the Celts, as she had variations across the Celtic world where her name was Brigantes or Briganti.

The Welsh know her as Ffraid, in Scotland her name is Brìghde/Brìde.

Though the Dagda has been established as Brigid’s father, it’s not certain who her mother is. Some say Danu, others say The Morrigan, though this is less likely. I personally have yet to find anywhere that names a mother with any evidence.

Brigid is considered a Mother Goddess.

Brigid has been conflated with the Catholic St. Brigid, who was the daughter of a converted Druid. It is believed by some that St. Brigid of the Catholic church was inspired by the Goddess. The two share many features and even a holiday.

St. Brigid’s day is February 1st and lands on the same day as the Irish-Pagan holiday Imbolc, leading some folks to believe that the saint is a Christianized version of the ancient goddess. However, no study has found there to be any historical link between them.

Brigid was likened to the Roman Minerva, the Greek Athena, as well as the Proto-Indo-European goddess of the dawn.

Brigid has also been known to go by Dana or Danu, though they are also separate deities.

In mythology, Brigid invented Keening, which is a mix of weeping and singing while mourning the death of her son.

Brigid is heavily linked to Irish Holy wells.

Brigid is also known for prophecy as she was worshipped by seers.

She is associated with fire due to her associations with the hearth and smiths

Ultimately there is very little historical information about Brigit, surprising considering she is so popular now and was popular even in the past.

I know I've mentioned it before and it's a total crack theory (don’t take this too seriously). But the possible hints that lonnie may be El's bio dad are kind of crazy.

ps: last point explains why I don’t believe Andrew is El’s dad. Long story short- i read all the novels and comics (they contradict the canon show in various plot-significant ways and are probably not canon). And if they wanted to surprise people- Andrew would certainly be a good misdirect. Let’s begin...

background: in s1 We see Hopper with his daughter (who is holding a tiger plushie). And in s3 we see Hopper attack a soviet in a carnival ride which has tiger decor. The ride warns the soviet of a tiger. Then the tiger growls as Hopper yells(aka Hopper is symbolically the ‘tiger’). So like tigers connect to him and his daughter. we even see Hopper’s hairband in the shot (another connection of father and child).

Ok... so what’s my point?

1.well lonnie has many name meanings.one is "lion". We see in s1 el and Will have lion plushies (similar to Sara's tiger plushie). Hopper sees Will's lion plushie and has a flashback of his daughter with her tiger. So... like... cat plushies maybe hint at paternity??!!!

Also Lonnie is lowkey the embodiment of lion-fathers lol...

2. A witness sees el, hopper asks "could it be lonnie's kid?". Witness: "it could have been . yeah that’s (pauses). I mean, yeah could’ve been". Suspish. But maybe nothing... I know the literal reason for this scene is for Hopper to think El is Will. But it’s still weird verbiage...and also makes you wonder WHY they look so alike.

3. Jane is the feminine form of the name jonathan. But also... Lonnie and Elenor ( they called El this in s1) have the same name meaning . Coincidence...maybe???

4. Lonnie is known for being a hunter. Teresa/terry (El’s mom) also means “huntress”. El is compared to princess Dianna (wonder woman): Diana is the roman goddess of hunting. Lonnie is also dating cynthia ( Cynthia means “the hunt”and cynthia is another name for DIANA). So maybe he has a type (woman who have names associated with hunting)- and he had a kid associated with “hunting” too-via the Dianna parallel. I joke.But it’s another weird name parallel.

5. El's storyline is heavily based on star wars and she's directly paralleled to Luke. Again luke has an estranged opposite-s*x sibling. The duffers are twins - so they prob loved that star wars plot twist that luke and Leia were separated siblings all along. Also them being related could explain their resemblance (and past parallels) . Thor ragnarock was also on the s4 inspo list- thor realizes he had a secret 1/2 sister.

6. Why is Lonnie always associated with yellow flowers?? talked about all the examples here, and the possible symbolism. But... bro in s1 even has a sunflower blanket (Which is also linked to Terry and her daughter El in s2). Also why was a car that looked like the Byers car in the Terry flashback... I want answers XD

7.Lonnie started flirting with joyce despite having a live-in gf (in her 20s) , that was half his age. Would I be surprised if , when younger, he had an affa*r with a college student while married. Not really. He's at the very least... a d0uche.

8. Lonnie made jonathan hunt a rabbit. Jane/el is associated with rabbits. In s1 when she first escapes Benny's: the song "white rabbit " plays as she runs from her papa. And her room at Terry's is covered in the white rabbit decor (from the alice in Wonderland story).could just be a parallel of lonnie/Brenner being horrible dads. I mean both Brenner and Lonnie tried to make their kids k*ll animals.

9. Also no I don't think Andrew from the prequel novel is her dad. I read all the novels and comics fyi. The novels and comics constantly contradict the cannon show. Max novel says she met billy a year before s2 and that's when they became stepsiblings : s3 shows they met as little little kids (when billy is like ... 12 at most). And not saying how, but i saw the S4 opening clip- it proves in very plot-significant ways that " 6 & into the fire" st comics are 100% NOT canon. So why do people blindly believe Andrew is her dad, cause the novel? Literally Andrew would be a perfect idea to get people to stop wondering about El's bio dad.

And if there's foreshadowing for later seasons in the comics/books- it's probably little eastereggs they were told to incorporate . But , regardless, how convenient a random-normal, de*d guy, with no plot relevance (who is never mentioned in the show) is supposed to be her bio dad. And make everyone stop wondering about El's dad. It certainly stopped people from asking questions about el's paternity- i'll give them that. I wouldn't even be surprised if adding Andrew was an intentional misdirect. EVEN I DON’T 100% BELIEVE IN THIS THEORY, but please stop using the st novel as proof against it cause ... like I said it’s the books/ comics don’t really seem canon at all. XD

Basics of Psychic Sensation: The Clairs

Now, this blog would not be complete without a “how to” post, would it? I’m gonna break it down to the best to my knowledge on how to connect to spiritual and your intuition-- or, rather, connecting VIA your intuition, below. These probably won’t be eye-opening to some more seasoned psychics, but if you’re just starting out, sure, go for it!

The “Clairs”

The Clairs refer to all of the 5 senses, including a 6th one, Claircognizance. Those would be Clairvoyance (sight), Clairsentience (This could be emotion, but could also be touch), Clairaudience (Hearing), Clairalience (Smell) and Clairgustance (Taste). While the last one I mentioned is a bit rarer to see in people, The others are quite common. These, Called the “Clairs”, means that you have a perception of the respective sense of the astral beings nearby. Clairvoyance, or clear seeing, is the most renowned of these, but gets a misleading reputation, as if the senses are so strong its like a physical presence in the room. The truth is, that isn’t the case! In fact, you’re well aware that there is “nothing” there, when you are clairvoyant. Clairvoyance can be in the form of seeing someone on the physical plane, but also can be dreams and visions! In my experience, I’ve seen the latter quite often. Clairsentience refers to clear feeling. Since “Feeling” is a bit vague, I like to include both definitions under this category, since both has happened to me and others before. The First one would be the emotional aspect. You may feel “inappropriate emotions” for your situation. These often are from spirits in general, so if you feel happiness around something that doesn’t normally make you giddy, the spirit you’re communicating with likes that particular thing. Its complex, but it’s certainly a thing. One of my guides likes yellow flowers for that reason. I’m pretty indifferent about them, but she absolutely admires them, so I pick some dandelions in summer when i get the chance.

The other half of Clairsentience is physical touch! This is much more simple. This can range from a slight poke to the side, to a reassuring hand on your shoulder, to a full embrace. They are just as capable of touch as humans are, and know which kinds of touch are ones you need to feel. They also can poke you in places on your body that need attention, like if you put your hand near a sharp object and you’re about to have it cut. They might make your hand uncomfortable and prompt you to move it, to keep it safe. That kind of thing! Clairaudience is when you are able to hear sounds that are associated with the spirit in question. This is my primary communication method, if i’m honest-- and most of these sounds are within your mind. Like Clairvoyance, these inputs are usually not overwhelmingly present-- they’re subtle. Its less about hearing things, than it is knowing how you feel when you’re being spoken to. How you feel when you hear “Yes” is much different from what you feel when you hear “No.” So after a bit of practice, you can kind of “translate” these feelings into speech. They also include a dog barking if they like animals, or music playing if they want you to hear a song, or a song they like, or things of that nature. Claircognizance is simply knowing something you had no way of knowing. Ever feel something was “off” but then you were right about it being off in the end? That is claircognizance. Sometimes spirit guides give you the knowledge you need to advance in life if there’s a result that wasn’t really planned or supposed to happen according to pre-incarnation.

Clairalience is smelling things that aren’t there to smell. This is more common than you think! Scent is heavily linked to the memory part of your brain. So lets say your grandmother passed away, and you suddenly smell the perfume she always had on, but you’re on vacation and alone in the hotel. You may not have even thought of her before then. That is because scents trigger all kinds of memories, and spirits know that. I have a friend that actually can “sniff” out the presence of certain spirits, since they have an energetic signature-- kind of like perfume, but doesn’t smell like anything. The best she can describe it is a scent! Some DO have a warm or floral scent about them. She also says her guide smells like cinnamon buns :) So now that all of that is out of the way, if you ever want to practice any of these, intuition is key here. Know that what you are perceiving truly isn’t there in the physical. and ask yourself these questions if you want to perceive a guide. Ask your guide for help perceiving them, and know they’ll follow through. Try to clear your mind, and objectively ask yourself these questions.: “What do I perceive right now in the physical?”

“If I were to perceive something in the astral, what form would it take?”

“What would my guide sound like?”

“What would my guide look like?”

“What would my guide smell like?”

“What would my guide say to me, right now?”

Trust that there’s answers to these, but don’t overthink it! the first answer is probably the right answer! I use “What would” instead of “What is”, because that helps take pressure off of trying to take on answers and straining your abilities. The important thing is to be open to almost anything. And as always, make sure you stay on your guard. If ANYTHING comes through that makes you feel unsafe, you have every right to cease all communication and protect yourself. I personally envision a veil of light surrounding me, kind of like a shield from anything bad that could harm me, but depending on your beliefs, you may smoke cleanse, add salt cirrcles, or do any ritual that puts up your spiritual shield. The more you think you may be in danger, the more danger you’re in, in my experience, so do whatever makes you feel safe. May your guide make themselves apparent to you, and I hope this little doohickey has helped with understanding the Clairs!

Lustrix Poder, Luces Minerales Brillando...! Relucientes, es el poder de Lustrix!

yeah the Tynix song doesn't really. lend itself to much of anything when 90% of the song is ooh-ing and aah-ing lmao

anyways hey y’all it’s back the redux’s back! and I’m coming back with Lustrix, basically the other half of canon Tynix that has nothing to do with animals at all.

Lustrix’s obtainment is a quest, like with Sirenix - one must obtain a shard of five giant crystals in the cave systems underneath the crust of every planet, and present them to the nearest Lustrix source, found in the same system. Like with Sirenix one can kickstart the quest via the Grimoire of Transformations or by befriending a magical critter related to the form - in this case, a Gnome, mole-like sapientkind that live underground. The Winx plus Dia would search and obtain this form in the as-of-yet-plotless S7.5.

On to the design notes!:

oh boy redesigning Lustrix took A FUCKTON OUT OF ME LEMME TELL YOU WHAT. I didn’t want two armored forms, but a full-basic figure skating look also didn’t fully convince me. I went through around 4 different concepts before deciding to tweak the original look, ending up in this armor-y looking figure skating-esque looks, which I’m MUCH happier with.

Each of the girls are themed after a specific gem, chosen for particular purposes beyond color matching:

Bloom is the citrine, yellow/orange quartz, usually associated with keeping away illnesses and bad thoughts, as well as bringing creativity and joy. Given Bloom’s tendencies to shut herself in and let her mind torture her it felt very fitting to give her a gem against that! Similarly, one can “make” a citrine by heating up amethyst, purple quartz, until it turns yellow or orange. However, you can burn them and end up with a far darker color, and given Bloom’s fire power it felt extra fitting.

Stella’s heliodor, a yellow variant of beryl. Beyond its name literally meaning “Gift of the Sun”, which covers her magic, heliodor means fidelity, good fortune and confidence, and it’s used to strengthen and protect personal bonds. Tell me that ISN’T Stella, I dare you.

Tecna’s peridot, a green gem usually more common in space than in Earth. While the alien nature already fits Tecna, its meanings of confidence and determination as well as it being able to open someone’s heart to others and make bonds with each other also feel tailor-made for Tecna, who in the AU is the most emotionally mature of the Winx and the one who’s there to help the others.

Aisha’s larimar, a stone that looks like seafoam and, if you recall, also the source for her second name in the AU. Beyond the link with her magic, larimar can mean expressiveness, freedom and serenity, all things Aisha longs for at the start of the story.

Musa’s fluorite, a purple gem, though it can also come in green. While it doesn’t have any particular link with her magic, fluorite is associated with romantic love and good communication (fitting for her relationship with Aisha) as well as with intelligence and intuition.

Flora’s gem is the kunzite, a purplish pink variant of spodumene. Like with Tecna and Musa, the stone doesn’t have associations with her powers, but kunzite is linked to the heart and is a symbol of protection and purity in all its forms, which fit’s Flora’s tendencies to go with her heart and her overprotectiness of those she loves.

Last but not least, Diaspro’s stone is her namesake, jasper. Jasper is a variant of quartz that isn’t crystal, with a wide arrange of colors. While each color has its own meaning, in broad strokes jasper is associated with bravery, vitality, love and protection, all things associated with Dia in the AU, especially with her determination to the throne.

All right, so, by now most people are probably aware that we got a glut of new information about Disco Elysium: The Final Cut yesterday. ZA/UM's Head of Publishing, Mikk Metsniit, also posted art of Martinaise in the official Disco Elysium Discord. This art has been shared in lower quality before as part of a promotional image for the collector’s edition of Disco Elysium, which will include it as an “illustrated fabric map”. The file Metsniit posted is named “Martinaise Revitalization ‘48.″ In-universe, a design studio previously made an attempt to restore Martinaise to its pre-war state, but ultimately failed. This piece appears to show the planned development of Martinaise--except it’s being swallowed up by the Pale. Fun!

Along with the first piece of art come two new songs by British Sea Power, which will be featured in the final cut:

Advesperascit, named after the city in Vesper-Messina where Dolores Dei was crowned Innocence in-universe. Apparently the name is Latin and roughly translates to “evening comes”

Ignus Nilsen Waltz, named after a prominent communist figure in-universe.

I think these songs will likely be tied to the new political vision quests, which are four new questlines that are each associated with one of the game’s four political ideologies. More information about them, along with other details, can be found in the following articles and videos:

Disco Elysium - The Final Cut Is Like Going From A Black-And-White Movie To Color, article from GameSpot’s Phil Hornshaw. In this article, voice over director Jim Ashilevi talks about adding full voice acting to the game and says that The Final Cut will feature 59 voice actors from countries around the world, chosen to reflect the backgrounds of Revachol’s diverse inhabitants. Lead artist Kaspar Tamsalu speaks about the political vision quests, saying that they will allow the player to meet new characters, learn more about the existing ones, and dive deeper into the politics, secrets, and history of Elysium. Tamsalu also says that The Final Cut will add the ability to fast travel and include Twitch integration, allowing stream viewers to vote on streamers’ decisions and even influence the build of the protagonist.

Biggest Changes In Disco Elysium - The Final Cut, video from GameSpot’s Phil Hornshaw, accompanies the above article. This is a fairly short overview of The Final Cut’s new features as detailed in GameSpot’s article. It includes samples of new voice acting, clips of new animations from the end of the game involving the protagonist and his coworkers (1:47, 2:05), a scene showing a new area added by one of the political vision quests (1:57), and a particularly funny voiced line from Kim (3:22)

‘Disco Elysium: The Final Cut’ comes out March 30. Here’s what’s new. Article from The Washington Post’s Elise Favis. Includes more details about the political vision quests. According to developer Kaspar Tamsalu, these quests may be started after one in-game day, and are mutually exclusive so that only one may be completed in each playthrough. Jim Ashilevi talks more about the challenge of recording all of the game’s dialogue--more than one million words in total--without outsourcing the work to other studios. Ashilevi also says that he sees ZA/UM as an “art collective”, and “compares his team to the Wu-Tang Clan, in that each person has other creative endeavors, both personal and professional, outside of creating video games.”

Disco Elysium: The Final Cut even gives your horrific necktie a voice. Very brief article from PCGamer’s Fraser Brown. Not much new information in this article, but there is one interesting tidbit: apparently the Horrific Necktie’s voice will be provided by Mikee Goodman, who is one of the game’s voice over directors. Goodman also provides the voices of the Ancient Reptilian Brain, the Limbic System, and several other characters.

Disco Elysium is getting even more political, a long article from PC Gamer’s Fraser Brown. Lead writer Helen Hindpere talks more about the political vision quests, which she says ZA/UM was inspired to add based on fans’ enthusiastic reception of the game’s existing political themes. Hindpere says that the new quests can change the game’s map itself, allowing the protagonist to leave his own mark on the district of Martinaise. The quests will also allow for deeper and more serious exploration of the protagonist’s political views, which were often taken to humorous extremes in the original game. Each quest is different, with some being more wordy and some more visual. The Ultraliberal quest will allow the player to “build a personal brand”, while the communist quest “inspires you to begin a movement”. One quest also adds a new urban location to the game, which Hindpere says reminds her of Berlin. The quests don’t just revolve around a single topic, though; according to Hindpere, "You'll be talking about love, sexuality, hope, ambition, and even about certain geological features specific to our worldbuilding. There's an opportunity to get close and intimate with characters who have thus far seemed unapproachable. Let's say that once you share the same ideology many barriers disappear, allowing you see a different side of many important characters." There will also be a significant amount of new dialogue with Kim Kitsuragi related to these quests.

Disco Elysium PS5 Gameplay - 5 Things You Need To Know, fairly long video from PlayStation Access’ Ash Millman. This video provides some basic information about the game’s premise for new players and shows what the game will look like on PlayStation 5, with a user interface redesigned for the console. The video also includes clips throughout that show some new content, presumably from the political vision quests. Three of these clips seems to be connected: in the first of them, wires are shown that run from the battery of the protagonist’s crashed car to radio equipment set up on and around the statue in the center of Martinaise; in the second, Soona, the radiocomputer programmer from the church questline, can been seen climbing the statue itself to set up some more equipment; and in the third, Soona, Harry, and Kim stand near the modified statue, talking about attempting to contact the flying warship Archer via radio. There are also two other clips: in one, the statue has been splashed with multicolored paints, while in the other the protagonist is seen talking to Idiot Doom Spiral, a local drunk, about hiring him for an unspecified job. Millman also talks about the three different settings that will be available for the game’s voice over: “Classic Mode” will play the same as the original game, with only a few lines voiced, while “Psychological Mode” will provide voice acting for all characters except the protagonist’s internal monologue and skills. The last option, “Fully Voiced Mode” is, well, exactly what it sounds like. There’s also a brief clip that provides a sample of the Horrific Necktie’s new voice (1:26).

Frequently Asked Questions

When and How Can I Share My Card?

You may share your card as soon as you receive it on whichever social media platform you choose.

Please wait to share any creations you make from your card until the Posting Period has opened (either July 1 or January 1, depending on which round of Bingo you are participating in).

Can I cross off items on my bingo card as I complete them once posting begins?

Yes, absolutely! In fact, I encourage you to! That’s an excellent visual way to keep track of where you are in completing bingo, and it’s super satisfying every time you complete a project and get to cross a square off!

What counts towards completing a square?

A piece of fiction that is 300 words or more and is complete.

A completed sketch, painting, watercolor, etc.

A Mood Board, aesthetic collage, manip, or other image editing that fits the prompt and represents at least an hour’s work.

Music playlist with a header (can be as simple or elaborate as you wish) and at least 10 songs. Can be shared through Spotify or other music streaming service as long as it is shareable through tumblr or twitter.

Themed fic rec list with a header (can be as simple or elaborate as you wish) and annotations. Annotations should include commentary on how you approached creating the list and a note on each story recced, explaining why you’ve included it. Each rec list should have at least 8 stories linked and should include a summary and a listed author with a link to their AO3 profile or other social media (if the work has not been orphaned or posted anonymously) for each listed rec.

Podfic of a story no shorter then 900 words

Photograph(s) of Funko pops or other toy representations of Spider-Man, Deadpool, and associates acting out a scene that represents a square (Ex: Knitpool, Avengergram).

I’m in multiple Bingos. Can I make something for both events at once?

As long as the thing you are creating for your Spideypool Bingo follows the rules of this fest and only counts as ONE square on your Spideypool Card, it is acceptable to have that same thing count as a different square on a Kink Bingo or Fluff Bingo, or whatever other Bingo you’re in. Make sure to check the rules of the other event(s), though. Not all Bingos allow event crossovers.

If you are using your creation for multiple Bingo events, please make sure to make it clear which square of the Spideypool Bingo card you are filling separately from any other Bingo event. Please also do not include the other Bingo’s information on your submitted post for the Spideypool Bingo blog (meaning if you are posting card updates with your submission, do not include the other card(s) in the post you submit to be promoted on the Spideypool Bingo blog. I don’t mind promoting other events on this blog, but that could easily get confusing for anyone following the blog).

Can I collab with someone else?

Yes and No.

Yes: An artist and a writer have corresponding prompts on their bingo card that they would like to work on together, ie. Crying into Ice Cream. Writer writes a fic involving Crying into Ice Cream, Artist draws a piece of art to coincide with that story. The artist may post their piece with a link to the story, and the writer may embed the piece of art into their story, as long as each person creates something individually that represents their own bingo square, this collab is within the rules.

No: Two artists or two writers create one piece together that they each count towards their own bingo card square.

No: Two people share One bingo card.

This isn’t a competition—and never will be as long as I am running it—but sometimes people get competitive all on their own, and I don’t want any hurt feelings if someone starts thinking that a collab team has an unfair advantage over individual creators in completing bingo faster. It might sound silly to you, but I have seen people become genuinely upset because of this scenario in the past, and I do not want anyone participating in this bingo to feel the same way.

What happens if I never get a bingo?

Absolutely nothing! This is not a competition. You do not have to complete bingo in order to proceed to the next round. If you get a bingo card and never complete a square, you will still be able to participate in the next round, no questions asked, no judgements made. I'm not keeping score of how anyone participates, nor do I want to.

Can I create podfics of other people’s works as long as I have permission from the writer(s)?

Yes, but you need to have proof of the writer(s) permission. As someone who has had their works plagiarized and posted without their permission, I take consent in sharing other people's work very seriously. Make sure you ask and get an enthusiastic consent prior to recording, please.

I don’t understand what ______ is…

Please google the prompt before you ask me what it means. 90% of the prompts people have asked me about have been easily google-able. I don’t mind helping you understand what a prompt means if it's confusing after you've looked it up, but please take that step first.

Changes to your card should be about what makes you uncomfortable, not what you don’t think you can fill Right Now. You have six months to work through your card. A prompt might not spark anything for you now, but come August or October? BAM! Genius idea you would have never thought about if you switched that prompt now. Bingos are just as much about challenging yourself creatively to work outside your normal box as they are about getting you making. Punch your way out of that box, y’all. It’s what Wade would want you to do.

Haha- talk about pandora’s box. Sure, personally i think the rainbows have multiple meanings -3 meanings to to be exact

1) Rainbows being associated with psychics + Will’s powers plot twist

*We see in the stranger thing novel 'suspicious minds' when overusing powers you may hallucinate rainbows (which are also associated with the void/ monsters in the series) .

Terry: “Spots bloomed behind her eyelids. Every color … as the sunlight turned to rainbows” ( p44-45), “streaks of rainbow appeared (p47)”,“The rainbow stayed with Terry for a long while, but eventually it faded and in its place: darkness. A pit.”(p. 48).

Alice (who sees visions of the future) : “Snarling, snapping monsters,RAINBOW LIGHTS playing in the air around them” (p. 121).

cough Will being in the upsidedown/being chased by “monsters”. And Joyce communicating with Will via “rainbow lights.”

The rainbow room (from s2) also has a rainbow on the door- according to the novel kali drew that rainbow. Similar to Will's rainbow drawing. Kali in the book also creates a rainbow allusion with sunflowers (Terry ref).

Kali: “field of yellow sunflowers grew up around them. A rainbow arcing over the golden tops.” (p. 139). “He noticed she’d drawn up there, a rainbow with her colored pencils. Maybe he’d suggest that for the playroom” (the rainbow room we see in s2) (p. 298)

I also already talked about how Terry saying "breath, sunflower, rainbow " is actually a reference to s1 Will- here (in link including pic of Will and Terry being told to “breath”.

*El in s3 also thinks of papa, her mother , and the rainbow room- cause she sees a cereal box with a rainbow (on it).

Dustin and susie sing a song from the film adaption of the book "never ending story". Which indicates how Will is subconsciously creating the supernatural creatures & people in the series . Before they sing, we also see susie is next to a ‘wizard of oz’ posters & she reads & talks to Dustin about the book "wizard of earthsea'. 2 of the 3 examples have rainbow-related songs (in their film adaptions) & all 3 hint at Will’s powers.

* wizard of earthsea:

It’s about a pre-teen wizard named Ged who has a bowl cut (Will) who casts a powerful spell, but the spell goes awry and instead he releases a shadow creature (by opening a portal between the living & dead- Will is a zombie boy remember?)! The new Archmage, Gensher, describes the shadow as an ancient evil that wishes to possess Ged. But the ‘shadow’ turns out to be a representation of the darkest aspects of his personality. It’ only when he calls the shadow monster by his own name “Ged”(cough mf=will the wise) does the monster stop acting out. The only way to save the world is for ged to then merge with the shadow(and for Ged to accept himself-and “become whole”).This also reminds me of the “Jungian shadow”

* never ending story:

Bastian ( who has a bowl cut- and is from single parent house hold) subconsciously creates a fantasy world being over run by darkness (symbolizing the loss of hope and dreams). One of the characters he creates is Atreyu (El). Atreyu ( was the child deemed the ‘chosen one). “Atreyu is knocked into the sea of possibilities. There he wakes on the shore of abandoned ruins. And Gmorick (mindflayer) then latches his jaws onto Atreyu’s (El’s) leg.”Pretty much what happened to El.”The Empress in the story later tells Atreyu, that despite being told he was the chosen one (he never was). And that it was always Bastian (Will) who was the chosen one-since his imagination created Fantasia (so he’s the only way to stop the darkness from over -running it).”

Will has mental health issues and accidentally writes a “story” about the shadow monster (reflecting his tra*ma). Bastian is depressed (over his parent) and subconsciously creates a story about darkness over-running everything. Like how Hopper describes his depression- like a black hole.

song Dustin & Susie sing:

“Written on the pages is the answer to a never ending story” (cough the books susie referenced - are explaining the answer to what’s causing the mindflayer/upsidedown/the lab...this story )

“DREAM a dream. And what you DREAM will be” ( Will’s imagination making his nightmares come true)

“Rhymes that keep their secrets Will unfold behind the clouds.And there upon a RAINBOW Is the answer to a never ending story.”

(the lyric “rhymes that keep their SECRETS” purposely pans to Will both times the song is sung). Because the ‘SECRET’ is -he’s causing everything. And thus he’s the only way to stop it- or they’ll all be stuck in a never-ending story. The only way to stop it is for Will to face his shadow/the mindflayer (aka the other Will) who is always shown within the STORM CLOUDS . Will needs to create a RAINBOW (out of those storm clouds). Like rainbows that show up AFTER a storm.He’d do this by accepting himself , his tra*ma/mental health relating to his dad, and or his gay identity- then the story will be able to end.Dustin even says “ defeat his RAINBOW of DARKNESS” (and later says a “rainbow is the answer ”(to the story). st book:”The RAINBOW stayed with Terry for a long while, but eventually it faded and in its place: DARKNESS. A pit.”AKA: Will has to face his symbolic darkness and the storm/and than create a rainbow from it- for the story to end...

When Dustin says ‘rainbow of darkness’ he talks about my little pony- where one of their friends became a dragon. in d&d wizards can become dragons &Bastian also summons a dragon with his imagination powers in ‘never ending story’. And Will is associated with dragons: s1he has dragon comic & drawing, s2 Will has dragon poster in his room + watches his friends play dragon game. And again... dungeons & dragons.

Also tw for s.a/parental ab*se (so skip to ‘wizard of oz’ if you prefer ). In the 4th book of wizard of Eathsea (20 years after the original, where ged was the protagonist). The new main protagonist - was r*ped and burned by her father as a child (and in the sequel she became a dragon as a form of empowerment ). which goes with my lonnie theory-sadly.

*wizard of oz:

it’s about a Dorothy creating a mythical world based on people she both likes and dislikes . Dorothy sings in the movie a song about a ‘RAINBOW’ and references ‘DREAMS’ coming true in a mythical land -much like the ‘never ending story’ song (referencing “rainbows”/”dreams” coming to life).

“There's a land that I heard of once in a lullaby Somewhere over the RAINBOW, Skies are blue, And the DREAMS that you dare to dream, really do come true...”

We see in s1 Hopper cop-partner calls the lab “emerald city”. Murray in s2 says people “don’t want to look behind the curtain” (to see what’s causing the supernatural -in the film what was literally behind the curtain was a wizard-cough like Will). We also have -lion, tiger, and bear stuffed animals (as a ‘lion, and tigers, and bears-oh my!’ quote )from the film. And David harbor (Hopper) when referencing the s4 rainbow room (quotes the song) and he also quotes a speech from Dorothy-when posting about the cabin the mindflayer destroyed.

2) Rainbow cups (hinting at Lonnie’s return)

We see 2 rainbow cups in the series.

in s2) when Mike & Will are sitting together & saying they’re “crazy together” . This cup next to them says “happy birthday” in rainbow. Later that season- they talk about Will’s birthday-rainbow drawing, Mike&Will meeting & Lonnie leaving. And in s2, we also see in Will’s room a card that says “sorry, I forgot your birthday”(most likely from Lonnie). So both Lonnie & Mike are associated with Will’s bday.

in s3) We see a woman yell “I don’t want her in my house!” (while she sits next to a rainbow cup). reminiscent of Joyce saying to Lonnie “get out of my house”. We also know there are rumors s4 takes place during Will’s birthday & Lonnie’s actor may have been spotted on set. Along with the fact (it’s pretty much confirmed) Mike will be visiting the Byers in s4. However, the woman (next to the rainbow cup) also says “2 visitor only. 2!″

THE 2 VISITORS ARE MIKE &LONNIE (for Will’s b day).

Also, in s3, when El is drinking from cup- she sees a rainbow. And what’s the first word she thinks of? “Papa.”

so rainbow+cup= shitty dads (lonnie & brenner) probably returning

*And of course if that’s the case -Lonnie (the same guy who called Will h*mophobic sl*rs) will not be supportive of Mike & Will’s “friendship”. And will not be nice to Mike (to say the least). Like... imagine Hopper in s3 - but we know he’s not bluffing and the audience won’t have the option to take it as a joke... and yes the s4 movies hint at that...

3) gay symbolism

First we have Mike wheeler. He in s1 has rainbows sheets, rainbow bedroom blinds , and in his basement there’s a heart propelled by a rainbow. This is like how in s3 Mike kisses El and there is a drawing that says "Mike'. And on the drawing is a heart propelled by a rainbow. I already explained how its symbolic of him trying to be straight/fighting his feelings for Will, but wherever he goes a rainbow still follows (even when he tries being romantic with El). He’s trying to hide his “rainbow heart” by dating El- why in s3 (the rainbow-heart in his basement) mysteriously disappeared from his room (but a similar symbol follows Mike even when he kisses El).

Even in s2 when talking about Will (in the AV tech room): Mike is placed in the center of 2 objects : an object with 11 on it & on the right a rainbow apple (this apple is supposed to be an ode to the gay father of computers- but also about the forbidden apple). Hinting at the love triangle of Mike (with El/Will). PLUS, in the ST book ‘worlds turned upsidedown’ they literally show Mike in the AV room- and put the caption “FALLING IN LOVE- with tech” (and placed rainbow flags next to the caption). And of course we have Mike & Will pose next to the rainbow apple- in the AV room.

We also see when Mike and Will says they’re “crazy together” (aka LOVE-as Flo stated) and they’re next to a rainbow cup that says Happy birthday .

And later that season they ref the rainbow ship Will drew for his birthday-which Joyce was "proud" of. And while dancing with a girl (Will according to the script was looking at Mike instead of her) . That girl is wearing a rainbow heart hair pin. This is essentially a parallel to Mike . Will (next to a rainbow heart) is dancing with a girl, but is secretly thinking of Mike. Mike (next to a rainbow heart) is kissing el but secretly thinking of Will (and immediately goes on a movie double date with Will after this). The lyrics of both these scenes indicate they're not happy pretending to be straight. The lyrics for Will are "every smile you fake". And Mike while kissing el is "just a little uncertainty can bring you down" (and during this lyric is when El puts her hands on him-and he removes her hands from him *aka he’s not as confident in the relationship as he pretends to be.

We see in s4 bts that the rainbow heart hair pin (worn by the girl Will dances with) is also worn by nancy while standing next to Robin (who is gay). So being near a ‘rainbow-heart’ is prob a hint a character is gay. Aka robin & Will & Mike.

In s1 when troy is calling Will h*mophobic sl*rs (in front of Mike) he wears a rainbow shirt. And max while often critiquing m*leven (in s3) (to Mike) often wears rainbow shirts. I talked about how I thought Troy and max subconsciously remind Mike he isn't straight - so they're associated with the rainbow iconography-post here. Like we see Max with rainbow sheets (like Mike) and than she immediately talks to him on the phone. I mean she could be queer- but I lean to that theory at the moment.

The whole being near rainbows when associating with a queer character makes sense (it’s like a ‘gay-dar”). Similar to Nancy’s hair clip when being near Robin/ that Girl having the same rainbow hair clip when dancing with Will. If we assume this theory than see a pattern with other characters (when speaking about/being near queer coded characters)....

it’s similar to how : When lucas (via subtext) criticizes m*leven- he is also next to a rainbow (in Erica's room). I explained here- why it’s about m*leven.

or when Jonathan says he’s going to hang out with Will (it’s near a rainbow).

This Jonathan moment -Is similar to when Steve ( who has a rainbow bandaid-from the Byers’ house) calls Mike “Nancy” (which is slang for a gay guy)

*another addition: you see in the comments of this post ghostgirlsatin mentioned Dart has a rainbow blanket. But, I noticed a couple of other things.

notice Dustin says "we have to talk- its about my friend ,Will". As Dustin is near rainbow lights and a rainbow bed sheet. Like how

A) rainbows are associated with the supernatural creatures + Will

B) rainbow lights associated with Will

C) rainbows near straight characters when talking about /near queer characters... similar to how Jonathan is near a rainbow when talking about Will

We also see Erica has a sunflower & rainbow drawing in her room... at the moment not sure if its just a random easteregg , foreshadowing something supernatural we're not aware of yet? or just for the m*leven diss?

(although given the fact i think some characters were created by Will- and given all the Max &Billy/Will & jonathan parallels ... the rainbow stuff may be a hint Will created them? I mean they even made a Troy comic just to show his dad is a bully.) But, at the moment, i still lean to (some) characters having rainbow iconography because they’re referring to/are near a queer character.
