Of course, Snelly ‘castaway’ Kourpa did not miss the chance to explore the 5km of pristine white beaches during her stay on Bird Island. After having spent a few days on the island exploring, Snelly tries to glimpse her home on the horizon, back on far away Mahé.
Although she really enjoyed her weekend getaway, the snail misses her resort home, her guests and the team at The H Resort. Home is where the snail heart is, so it is time to board the Air Seychelles Twin Otter plane again and fly over the ocean. Snelly is now started to collect lots and lots of bonus miles on Air Seychelles flights.

Stand up!
What a stand! The Seychelles was showcased at its best, by the good people at Seychelles Tourism Board. Granit boulders, a waterfall, colourful blossom and lush tropical vegetation – in many ways, just what Seychelles is all about. Snelly was incredibly happy to see her natural environment in the big city of Berlin. She felt so comfortable and visitors to the stand were blown away by the beauty of Seychelles. What Snelly and her colleagues wanted to point out during the fare, was that Seychelles is not only about beaches and the ocean, but so much more as a unique destination. Unspoilt nature unlike anywhere else in the Indian Ocean.

Snelly was successful during the Easter Egg Hunt that took place in The H Resort this morning. Together with all children that currently stay in house, staff’s kids and orphanages, Snelly was looking for Easter eggs all over the property. The H Resort team made sure the Easter eggs were not very easy to find.
Naturally, she was a bit slower than the children but still, she found three eggs that she could exchange for sweets and candy. Mmmmhhh... after having ran a marathon, it was definitely OK to treat herself with chocolate to celebrate Easter.

Snelly, having weaved her way through the crowds of tourists, all taking advantage of the Parisian winter sales, paused for a moment in front of the Arc de Triomphe, sporting her recent purchase, an haute couture D&G (that is ‘Dodgy and Banana’) bonnet…!
Brrrr… she said to herself, it’s too cold for a tropical snail, more used to the Seychellois climate… but fortunately for her, her beautifully crafted ‘Dodgy and Banana’ bonnet helped keep her tentacles and eyes nice and warm. Prior to her visit to Paris and her slow burn up the Champs Elysees, Snelly, being an active snail is a big fan of cycling, so only knew the Arc de Triomphe as a landmark on the ‘Grand étappe’ during the Tour de France.
Overall Snelly was in awe at how big the French capital was compared to her own capital – Victoria, Seychelles. The population in Paris is about 2,2 million people, considerably more than the 26,000 people living in Victoria.

Snelly took in the amazing skyline view from the top of the Eiffel Tour and was quite possibly, the first snail to ever visit the Eiffel Tower. It was culture-overload for the Seychellois snail, as she moved on to the Place de la Concorde, Snelly stopped paused to grab another ‘snelfie’ for her blog.
She couldn’t believe how cold it was in Europe during February. Definitely, she had to squeeze in a spot of retail therapy and slid off to the Champs Elysees to visit all the shiny, glamorous, designer boutiques. It was bling-bling Snelly!

Of all the great world cities that Snelly could choose from, she only had one choice. Being February, it had to be the city of love, Paris!
Here she is…being a true tourist, Snelly right in front of the Eiffel Tower. During her direct flight with Air Seychelles from Mahé to Paris, she had time to visit the cockpit and chat with the pilot and tell him all about The H Resort.
Snelly had plenty of time to dream of this special moment and then there it was, rising in to the cloud-leaden skies, the Eiffel Tour, a magical sight for any adventurous snail.
Snelly snapped a few selfies, or as she prefers to call them, ‘snelfies’. She was happy to pose for a picture with other tourists in front of the number one monument in Paris, as she is the number one snail.

What a lucky snail! On her way to the beach, Snelly’s timing was perfect as she came across some of The H Resort’s chefs by chance and was invited to their food tasting in preparation for the new Ripples menu. Ripples is the pool-side venue of her home resort, which serves a vast variety of delightful, mouthwatering light bites, pizzas, salads and healthy lunches. Snelly took the opportunity to try a veggie option and had a yummy selection of chargrilled vegetables.
In fact, she thought it taste so good, that she finished the whole plate before the chefs could even taste it themselves. After some more tastings and feedback from guests, the new menu has been launched. Snelly just loves being a foodie, so keep following her for further updates as she will definitely keep you posted on the various dishes at her favorite pool bar.

What a beautiful Saturday in paradise!
Snelly is so lucky that her home - The H Resort - is located directly on the splendid, Beau Vallon Beach. It is by far the most popular beach in the Seychelles known for its 3km of glistening white sand and crystal clear waters. The Takamaka trees and coconut palms that line the pristine white shores build up lush vegetation providing shade and sanctuary from sunbathing.
After her magical day in the sun, Snelly will now unwind at the 1502 lobby bar and have a refreshing snailtail.

Last Saturday, Snelly visited the Seychelles Hospitality & Tourism Association’s Ball on Eden Island. After the amazing buffet, there was a raffle draw with many fancy prizes such as an overnight stay for 2 guests at Snelly’s home, The H Resort Beau Vallon Beach.
Snelly cannot wait to welcome the winner and show them around. For the second time this month, she danced the night away and enjoyed the live band with the lucky winners.

Snelly is getting ready for a romantic dinner at Vasco’s - the main restaurant at her beautiful home, The H Resort Beau Vallon Beach.
The restaurant is named after Vasco da Gama (the famous Portuguese explorer) who first laid eyes on Seychelles in 1502.
Vasco’s serves international cuisine with a Creole touch - Snelly really enjoys the theme nights and the wide choice of specialties.
But Vasco’s is not the only restaurant at The H Resort - there are 6 more great dining venues to explore…

Snelly had a blast last night celebrating New Year’s Eve with all the guests and team members of The H Resort Beau Vallon Beach.
After having sipped some sparkling bubbles at the beach while watching the last sunset of the year, followed by an enjoyable New Year’s Eve buffet, Snelly hit the dancefloor until 1am. She learned how to dance Sega with the live band and was very excited before the countdown to the new year.
What a night - gladly, breakfast was open until 2pm today. ;)
