And, just like that.....it's 65 and I'm going to my first organic plant sale of the season. Thank you Common Good Farm. For the awesome first start. I grabbed rhubarb, onions, nasturtiums, chard and a variety of lettuce and cabbage. We even made it out to see our friend @littleredfarmne Thank you for the amazing eggs and great conversation! ❤ PS. I wasn't kidding about the unintentional dreadlocks in the comments of one of my previous posts. I am so in awe of nature. Just 2 days ago I was admiring the Dandelions in my yard, and deciding when some of them would be just the right size to pick for a fresh spring salad. And today....I'm enjoying the shock of wet snow on my bare feet as I quickly try to record the dazzling beauty in my front yard. When I tell people that I grew up in California and Arizona, I tend to get a couple of different reactions. A look of concern and sincere worry. "Oh, you must hate Nebraska weather!" The second a more common reaction. A genuine belly laugh, with incredulous shaking of the head, followed by, " Why are you here?!" Well, I happen to love living here. Being a soul who craves adventure and excitement, how could i not love Nebraska? I love the weather variations and the unpredictability. I feel like I was brought here intentionally to the perfect place for me. I will never tire of the excitement that crazy weather brings. Next week, I may be posting pics of tumultuous tornado skies or a sunny, 90 degree day.
