A shrine visit

Water could be heard dripping and echoing in the cave, its sound much louder than a figure’s footsteps that traversed in complete darkness. With a bare hand patting the wall lightly, the figure continued on with ease.

Donned in her travel clothes, Althea continued walking forward with confidence, the darkness not seemingly bothering the woman. Her coat was of the color white with fur underneath to keep her body camouflaged and warm in the cold climate of Mount Targon. Within, she wore leather armor and cloth, paired with a metal gauntlet and greaves to keep her limbs protected. On her face, the feral knight wore a mask; A simple and light metal with a few markings etched on them. Behind her was a massive greatsword wrapped in white cloth, letting its leather strap rest on her shoulder while holding it with her left hand.

With her rigorous training within the Lunari and a few experiences of her own, Althea was able to train her other senses when her sight failed, making it easier for the woman to move about in the darkness.

However, moonlight soon showed itself as the warrior was finally reaching the end of the cave. With her boots barely making a noise, she stepped out into a grassy clearing topped with a light snow blanket, this time, tugging on her mask to look around the area.

Apparently, she was not outside of the cave just yet, no. She was still inside though the moonlight that came from the vast hole above them lit the entire place, causing the gentle light of the moon to grace her form as Althea set her sights on the small ruined temple--nay, a shrine--before her. It was overtaken nearly completely by vegetation as vines crawled all over its pillars and walls while the grass about her grew nearly up to the woman’s waist.

“Map and secure the area. Make a safe path for the missionaries.” Althea murmured to herself as she continued moving forward, her eyes wary of danger. She had already dealt with a few Terror along the way, so she would not be surprised if some found themselves in this area no matter how sacred it was.

She then reached over for the small pack behind her as she attempted to take out her pencil and paper to continue her job.

oh wow i have to admit, i was absolutely shocked to see Althea on my dash today. is that lunari group still a thing? lord its been years

Her number one fear is losing the ones she loves but other than that... She has this thing for moon superstitions ya know? Things that I seem to be forgetting to update and whatnot so my bad OTL ;;;

Oh yeah, she also dislikes injections ; u ; With swords and spears and arrows, you can easily dodge them and whatnot but with syringes? Damn you have to watch that pointy metal being inserted in you xDD Extra scary if they’re big ass syringes xD

Physical and emotional pain makes her cry and so does experiencing bliss.

She’s a big baby at heart ; u ; However, tears aren’t exactly a thing she does seeing as the Iron Solari as trained to be strong and indestructible and whatnot.

So huge events would be the only way one would see tears on her eyes. A broken heart; the death of her mother; her giving up with life; her being saved by the moon and so on and so forth.

（・□・；） = What makes the character uncomfortable

If Althea does not feel secured then she is uncomfortable. Without her armor and weapons, she would feel very uncomfortable and would be agitated all the time especially if she is uncertain of their surroundings.

She does not enjoy the feeling of being defenseless and useless.

When Althea was asleep, she was quite vulnerable, opposite of what one would expect from a trained warrior such as her. This was the reason why she didn’t stir at all when the ancient Lunari entered her room and woke her up, causing the Iron Solari to grunt before opening her eyes.

Here she narrowed her eyes at Cyllene in a blank stare before she turned attention to her hands and then the spaces beside and behind the ghost.

No weapons; good.

“Sleep...” Then she hugged her pillow once more rather than use it to rest her head on it and snored.

“Cyllene is an... interesting apparition.” stated the Iron Solari, her eyes filled with confusion and exhaustion. “Dangerous at most especially during the Full Moon for she is able to hold her weapon and use it against mortals. And that is not good news to me as she always tries to rid of me regardless of what I tell her.” Althea shook her head, “I have received many injuries from her and had requested for the priestess to heal them but there’s only so much I could do without any sleep.”

The woman grunted, “I hope there will be a day wherein she would finally understand that I am in alliance with the moon rather than the sun. But for now, I can only keep trying to reason with her as she tries to take my life from me. If there’s one thing this woman underestimates however, it’s my will to live and serve the Moon.”
