Because they're working on a sburb game. So far only the house portion is complete and it has some bugs and minor things missing, but it's still fun to play.

The Genesis Project

Welp, not much has happened here. I've began working on some stuff (stuff I can't talk about just yet) but I'm not primarily focused on that at the moment. I got a lot of stuff going on atm, though more of that later.

Activity online

As you might know, I have a YouTube and a DLive channel, where I stream to every now and then. That's gotten more or less better. I'm trying to entertain you guys, though I dunno if what I do entertains you. I'll still do it tho.

Now, if you wanna know, why I said "more or less better"...

Life updates

Oh wow. Got here faster than I expected. Welp, here goes nothing:

Over the last couple of months, I've been trying to cope with massive depression, insomnia and general issues with well-being. The reason for all that stuff is very private and in order to not cause any damage to anyone's reputation, I won't share it. Only few people know about what went down and I plan on keeping it that way, though I will say, that my life's been a total mess ever since then. For those, who are worried about me, don't be (although I know that saying that won't help a bit).

Anyways, I'm slowly (and I really mean slowly) recovering from all that. Some things will never be the same for me again, some other things will be fine again eventually and other things are already fine again. I've been connecting with various people in different communities (like LumiRadio), having fun, playing games, reading Homestuck again (the epilogues too) and more. I even met someone really great, though I won't share any of that yet :)

Alright, let's see... searches for more topics to talk about, dropping papers and pens in the process Oh, whoops... picks up sheets of paper from the desk There we go! We can continue!

Side-projects? Side-projects!

I've began working on a couple of stuff! Here's a quick list:

Byers+ - A replacement for Pidgey and Byers (2 bots running on LumiRadio) with more and better features!

DLiveBot - A chatbot for DLive (closed-source at the moment, but who knows, I might release it at some point)

BlogMe - A diary-like blog, which is stored locally (it's a PoC at the moment, though you can see it here. You can even install it as an app, if you open this on your phone!). This is a school project, so I don't know if I will continue working on it beyond that.

GManOnLAN - An Alexa skill, hosted on a home server, which can wake up PCs over WakeOnLAN with quotes from G-Man

On top of that, I also have a Code::Stats page now, where you can see how much I coded every day. It looks very empty now, but I bet it'll look full next year c:

Stacey!

Who's Stacey?, you might ask. Stacey is the lovely inkling on my profile picture (credits to infinitesimal_J for creating this beautiful profile picture). She's combining 2 things I like a lot: Splatoon and Homestuck. As such, she is a Page of Breath inkling, her main weapon being the Bloblobber and such, making her a user of the bucketkind strife specibus, though that doesn't matter much, since she's godtiered anyways. She won her Sburb session (though I won't disclose how many players it had) and dealt the finishing blow to the black king (I will share that much). Maybe there will be a full blown backstory at some point? Who knows...

That wraps it up! Wow. This post is really damn long. I'm sorry for the wall of text, but not really.

Full Review for the-genesis-project

All reviews are my own personal opinion. I will do my best to be as constructive and helpful as I can be. If there is something I believe you can improve, I will let you know. Feel free to message me if there is anything you want clarified. Please like or reblog once you have read the review.

Theme: It's a moderately common theme for roleplays, and I don't mind it. There are plenty of links and it is easy enough to read. However, the color scheme is quite boring, especially compared to your graphics.

Navigation: I think it would be better if you had your plot link on the sidebar instead of in the header, and maybe put an application link somewhere easier to find. The navigation page is nicely organized and easy to use.

Plot: I really, really don't get why there is some random GIF on the plot page. Frankly, it looks unprofessional and unappealing. I do like the sidebar plot and the main plot other than that though. At first, I was very confused, but it's nice that you included a history link. the whole idea of human and animal is fascinating.

Biographies: I'm assuming this is a skeleton roleplay, since there isn't a ton of background information. I just don't love having connections in a skeleton roleplay. The concept of having each character descended from animals is really cool. However, it's not cool that every single face is white. There is no excuse for the lack of diversity, especially given the futuristic and sci-fi setting.

Graphics: I do really like the graphics. I find them to be interesting and creative, and they fit the overall feel quite well.

Rules/Application: I think your rules are fine, but the way they are organized is actually quite confusing. Activity, OOC rules, etc should come first. The application seems a bit lackluster. Activity in words would be a better choice, and I would suggest asking why they want this character, etc.

Admins: I'm sorry, but you seem so unprofessional with your nicknames and random mascot GIFs and uses of hearts, etc. Mascots are never necessary, and while I'm sure you are trying to be friendly, it comes across as immature.

Anything Else: No.

Would I Recommend: Sorry, but no. This roleplay does have potential, but the admins are unprofessional and the lack of diversity troubles me. I wish you good luck.

OVERALL RATE: 9/10

First look: I like your theme, it's professional looking, the colors are simple and appealing, your navigation and summery is to the point and easy to view.

PROS AND CONS UNDER THE CUT

PROS: 

Your navigation is very simple and easy to get to, it's also easy to get to the links I would need to join.

Your masterlist is easy to view, I love how it's categorized by species. That way, potential players will know exactly who they want to play and if they're available..

Your organization is spot on and wonderful. 

Your graphics are easy and to the point, to get your potential players an idea of what they have in store to play.

CONS: 

I'm not a fan of the green, but that's just me in general. I would say a more darker, pastel like color scheme would suit your rp a lot more regards to the plot.

Your application form should be in the navigation as well as the top of the page. Just so people don't have to go searching!

SUMMARY: 

I think overall your organization is pretty spot on and easy to locate everything I would need to join your group. Keep up the wonderful work because this looks like a rp with really good potential and I wish you the best!

#TheGenesisProject 2013 Summer Collection

The beta for the latest Genesis Project update is amazing so far! Joining sessions is easy enough that I’ve actually played multiplayer now! I had an Eridansprite hanging out with me! As a Light player I got to shoot lightning!

The actual update is gonna be amazing, and I’m so hyped to see where this project goes in the future! (Especially with god tiering ngl - I was researching stuff about Mages earlier tonight to prepare!)
