Evolutionary Modern - Art that Evolves with You... what do you think of this name? What does it mean to you? I am curious how it comes across. What am I talking about here? What Evolutionary Modern means to me is an evolution of art and modernism into today's culture and generation of artists. We are the artists of the future. The art we create is assimilated by us, our experiences, and our education from life and living in today's world. The art styles I see as most prevalent today are mid-century modernism, abstract expressionism, cubism, surrealism, urban, and I'm sure there are a few more I'm not naming. These are all genres of the past. But what do they mean today? Today they are evolutions of the past into a new movement. I like to call this movement Evolutionary Modern. This is not any current official movement label by any textbook, but that is very clear and obvious to me today. My art very much resembles this new movement, as I am inspired and driven by past modern art movements, but majorly by my influences of popular culture growing up through music, fashion, lifestyle, and education. 'Art that Evolves with You' is something I feel fits my artistic expressions, as it has an evolving effect that grows with you from a point of the past and connecting to the present and that grows with you as you continue to view it and cultivate it in your life. What are your thoughts?
