I had an elopement scheduled for Friday. That’s now of course, postponed. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Then I planned a styled shoot within a week to use up the flowers I had to purchase. Another little peek at last Saturday’s g of a wedding with our friends @thegoodparty. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As a florist and an artist I love when o get to marry the two into true floral art. This aisle way was soooo pretty and it was so fun to design. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Bring on allllll the floral installations please. 🙏🏻. But seriously, if you want to create a floral art feature for your wedding let’s chat! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ps. I always try to make things that can be used twice (ie transferred to your reception afterwards) so you get the most value and design bang. The universe has a way of providing exactly what we need at the time we need it. February is typically one of the slowest months of the wedding season and @jomurt9 just started his Pata leave meaning EI hasn’t kicked in yet. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This wedding with @thegoodparty came in perfect time. Not just because financially it would help but also because it showed me what I was capable of. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ With a 6 week old at home, I managed to balance mama duties with my responsibilities of signing on to someone’s wedding. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What did that look like? Standing in my studio nursing with one arm and grabbing flowers with the other, wearing Norah while I worked and rocking the stroller back and forth while also arranging centerpieces. (Only when she decided she was done with daddy inside 😂) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Let me tell you, floral design is no cake walk. While it looks super pretty it’s a lot of physical work. (Especially after having a baby and my muscles need to regain a lot of their strength. ) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Anyways, as always we pushed through, made magic happen and kept a baby alive and fairly happy 🤷🏼‍♀️. I know new levels of what my body can handle and mentally what I can accomplish. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today’s wedding is pure whimsy.
