Off the grid for a few days. Isn't it wonderful to be at a place where the wifi is weak and the alcohol is high? Haha. Internet connection here is weak, I even bought a pocket wifi for this trip so I get to stay connected all the time. There are still places with strong internet connection but didnt bother using it, only used it a few times at night. This place is so laidback! You don't need any gadgets to keep you entertained. There are lots of places to see, people to talk to and good places to eat. It is one of those places where you can be just on your bikini walking or driving around the whole town (which is totally a normal thing here) and no matter what you do, people are always eager to help. Being able to move freely, and to drive your ass anywhere without a license (oops!) are just few of the best things on this island..plus, we get to drink every night! Lovin the island life! Dear ocean, thank you for making us feel tiny, humble, inspired and salty at once ⛵🏝️🏖️🗾 This is called the Naked Island coz there are no traces of trees on it. Have you tried any local exotic food or these chichaworms for instance? "I was browsing through some old photos and saw this! I stared at this for like 2 minutes whispering "eeew" and "yuck" while the girl from the counter kept looking at me. Put it back, went out of the store then after a few steps I went back to pay for it. I've decided to let my mom eat it. 😈😈😂😂 --- After a few days of scrutinizing it, I got used to how it looks like and got curious. I end up eating it. Haha. People at home didn't even bother to taste it esp. my mom. Tried to convince her several times but it didnt work 😂 These organic worms are surprisingly ok but I still cringe with every bite. Haha. Mt. Iraya, the highest mountain in Batanes erupted in 400 AD. It scattered these rocks around Basco and the Pacific ocean which formed the Valugan Boulder Beach. Strong wind from the Pacific creates a beautiful sight of these waves crashing at these volcanic rocks. Imagining how it was formed is just surreal.
