Alice grabbed her sweater off the railing and followed him outside. It was dark, but Alice's eyes quickly adjusted to the gloom. "Lead the way," She said with a smile, even though she felt a little weary being there out of nowhere.

Clara couldn't help but to smile as she watched the Doctor examining the costumes around, "not space men? too much on the nose" she teased her alien friend as she looked for something to wear. "well something that would go perfect with that hat would be the great Irene Adler, ugh i love her so much, what do you say Doctor be my Sherlock?" she asked turning around holding an Victorian dress.

"I'm sure we could find a Halloween party or something," he told her, "Some excuse to go out in costumes." He took off the space helmet and looked around and found a Sherlock Holmes hat. "This is perfect. It's a room entirely full of costumes. See any that you like?"

Luke chuckled. He would be able to master a lot of material and find what he needed for his academy. But on the other hand, he had a lot of time and there was no need to rush.

Mai only gave the Doctor a look; she couldn’t exactly understand the TARDIS like he did. But if he said that he what she was talking about, she might as well go with the flow. With a light shrug, she began to follow him.

“The engine room, huh? How far is that from here?” She knew that, despite it’s outward appearance, this was a legit  ship that traveled through and space and time. “You going to need an extra pair of hands?”

how they play them: He plays him incredibly well.

Alice pulled up to the third Christmas tree lot they'd visited. They'd seen Christmas trees that came close but none that were just right. She had a good feeling about this place however as she pulled into the park. Alice found a parking space and climbed out. "I have a good feeling about this. At least I hope so, otherwise, we'll have to finish looking tomorrow." She said.

It was getting late, the sun had already set and it was getting dark. The night would fall quickly. And so would the cold; Alice wasn't fond of the cold.

@thedoctornumber11 continued from x. "Those wires look like they've been purposely cut," he told her as he examined one of them and then looked forward. He then noticed a statue down one hallway and had a suspicion. He looked away for just a second and the statue had indeed moved. "I know why the lights are out," he told her, "This place is full of weeping angels."

Alice followed his eyes to where the wires had been cut. They had clearly been cut in a hurry. Despite the warmth of the tunnel, she felt cold suddenly. Why would anyone cut the lights in an underground mine? She wondered.

She looked up when he spoke. "Weeping Angels?" She asked, never having heard of such a thing. She shined her flashlight in the direction he was looking, seeing only a statue, not knowing she was seeing an alien.

@thedoctornumber11 continued from x. "I don't know," he told her as he began to lead the way back to the TARDIS, "I've never seen a creature like that before, so it wouldn't surprise me."

"Oh no! I really hope it isn't! It must be so lonely!" Alice said sadly, now feeling a heaviness in her heart. "I mean it's got really great owners but it must still feel lonely." She rambled a little. She'd seen him, the last of his kind, alone, she hated the idea of seeing another. "Could we look and see if there are others?" She asked.

Alice's mother looked between the two, her mouth pressed into a deep frown and her eyes concerned. "What do you mean a mystery, what's wrong?"

Alice couldn't find it in her to tell her mother what was really going on. "I'm just curious. I never really asked, that's all." Alice shrugged and smiled weakly. "I'm sorry, but what do you mean that they "pronounced me dead"?" She asked.

"Oh Alice, we thought we lost you." Alice's mother threw her arms around Alice, holding her in a tight hug. Alice was frozen in surprise. "But like a miracle, you're alive! You came back to us!"

Alice rubbed her mum's back not sure what to think. She felt afraid again. "Perhaps they'd made a mistake."

"I saw it with my own eyes, Alice. You were gone."

Alice lay back in her armchair, her legs up on the footstool and novel in hand. She had an empty cup of tea sitting on the armrest beside her. A single lamp shined down overhead proving enough light for her to see but darkness beyond the cone.

Again, she'd become so enamoured in her book that it was late into the night. The blonde wasn't a bit tired, however. She found late nights, even sleepless ones, rarely bothered her so she regularly spent nights reading and enjoying the quiet.

The doorbell rang, breaking the near silence save for the soft snoring of her sister on the sofa.

"Who is ringing at this hour? Tell them to fu-"

"I'll get it," Alice said with a sigh, already standing up and heading to the door. Who she saw made her grin and her heart skip a beat.

@thedoctornumber11 continued from x. "That's actually a good idea," he told her, "And might be relatively easy to pull off. If their fire alarm is attached to their computer systems, we might be able to make that happen from here even."

Alice was beginning to feel hopeful again now that they had a plan. If this idea worked they could access the computer on the bridge and find her sister. She hoped it would because they'd had nothing but dead ends so far and she was feeling frustrated. It wasn't just her sister at stake, she'd learned since they got to the ship. They needed to find the missing people and fast.

"Hopefully there's a computer close to the bridge you can sonic to set off the alarm, maybe that'll give us more time to get in?"
