sometimes i think about what my old rp accounts are doing

eros is in the user world now. he can't go back to the grid because he's a wanted man. but here there are so many different "others" that a man who specialized in non-Basic recompiling is going to have the time of his life. learning xenobiology and xenomedicine is just one step back into his old identity, before everything had gone sour. and it's good to be with george, someone who understands him so well. it's good to have someone who won't take his crap any more than he'll take that someone's.

orianna is off learning everything she's ever wanted to learn. she's a massive repository of information who still treats everything like sudden news. the scars on her chest and her arm don't ache as much, and she's gone and covered the space they once took up with daisies, red and white, and little forget-me-not blossoms, so she can carry her garden around with her and not feel so scared in public when she wears summer clothing.

jarvis is puttering along, maintaining order in an ever growing system of computers and building himself drones that will keep that order going. he has a small cold that he's never spotted the source of, but lexa's presence is a comfort that he'll never question.

Lexa was half-afraid she'd shake herself to bits. She had a date. A date. And not just any date - a date with Jarvis. She'd been trying not to get too used to calling him that - how mortifying would it be, to let it slip out accidentally in public! No, no, he was still Sir.

Except... except when she was alone in her quarters, long after her shift ended, and she let herself relive that glorious moment of The Kiss. His lips soft on hers, his hand so warm at her back, his smile when he asked her to call me Jarvis when we're off-duty.

Oh, she was in trouble. But she liked it there.

She was alone in her quarters now, but she didn't have to relive The Kiss. With any luck, she would get to re-experience it soon. She'd spent the last micro or so fussing over her hair, her clothes, her shoes. She'd settled on her everyday suit, in the end, but clipped her hair away from her face. Her heels were the most comfortable pair she owned, carefully chosen to put her precisely on his level.

And now she waited, counting the nanos until the appointed time.
