Clearly i’m still not over @avengers Endgame. Tho i’m not able to watch it again since nowadays most of theater’s time slots are around noon. This monologue from Tony Stark always gets me. It is very apt for the whole wrap of Infinity Saga. Now i’m eagerly waiting for @spidermanmovie Far From Home. Supposedly it’s the last movie from Infinity Saga of @marvelstudios MCU. It’ll be very interesting to see what happens post-endgame. —— Bought some gorgeous marble coasters from @marblenco.id. Found em at @lakonstore in @mkglapiazza. It came with quite okay price and very beautiful textures. Hence, i grab 2 of them at once. Got my giveaway book from @kakikomi.book last week. Just able to take pictures and post it now. Thank you so much for the giveaway. With the stainless straw as well! I finally have one! 😆 —— Being a dotted lined book, this is definitely good for journaling and diary. The cover is pretty thick and sturdy with doft textured mica. The paper felt like almost 100gsm paper. Pretty thick and quite smooth. Brush pens & multiliners work so well on it, tho i won’t use pointed pen for this. It seeps through completely on the back when i use pointed pen. But overall, it’s a nice book to have for your everyday writing & sketching. The hype for Endgame isn’t over for me. Just watched it today for the 4th time and still cried in the end. So here’s another of my favorite line in the movie. Scott said it first, but the next same line from Cap is even funnier. 🤣🤣🤣 —— Since there’s no Cap life-size model anywhere, i’m just gonna shamelessly put my photo with Tony instead. With the recent pandemic hits hard all over the world, my fave game also being hit hard on its upcoming events. @pokemongoapp had a ton of events supposed to happen—offline or online—but sadly, all othem are somewhat cancelled. Hence, they adapt and make some changes onto this game. Most recently, the best changes they did is the GO Battle League. Since the GO aspect of PoGO is to make you walk n be healthy, this requirement are no longer needed to earn yourself max. 7 sets of matches daily. Since raiding legendaries outside still need a cluster of people to win it, instead they put legendaries into this GO Battle League as a chance encounter if you win certain amount of matches. —— This is a great problem solver and I AM HOOKED! GO Battle League is no where near easy, since you need to pick 3 out of possible hundreds of pokemon and it’s a blind match up, online with other players. Despite the huge lag when you play it on semi-decent connection (please fix this damn lag @pokemongoapp), i had a lot of fun with this feature. And personally, i think they boost the legendaries encounter. I got myself at least 4-5x legendaries when i can win the matches. If you do play PoGO, i recommend you try out the GO Battle League. And if you’re lucky, you might encounter shiny legendaries! —— P.s LOOK AT THE GORGEOUSNESS THAT IS @thecreativekinds ANTIQUE BRASS! Love the muted walnut-ink-like color but with HD Blings on it! Hello March! It’s the month i’ve been waiting for the past year or so. I was about to go on vacation to Japan with friends, anticipating the sakura-filled spring. Until... the pandemic happened and... my flight has been cancelled. —— In a way, it’s also a relief for me. My parents been asking me over and over to reconsider going overseas due to the dire situation. To be honest, I won’t stop going if it’s not for the flight cancellation. But i was more panicking on the thought of going on quarantine after vacation. Thankfully, i don’t have to deal with it. Lodging & transport thankfully can be refunded. We are 2 days away on making our visa when we got the news. Talk about great timing. Stay safe out there everyone. Wash your hands regularly and stay healthy. Since there’s no cure/medicine yet, your body immune is your best weapon so far to tackle this virus. 👍🏻👍🏻 —— P.s those long tail-end flourish is hugely inspired by @suzcunningham calligraphy. I just love the playfulness it gives. And FINALLY, i can write with LPEF & @thecreativekinds paints again! Been struggling since some of the nibs is so scratchy. Got one that isn’t, and Euphoria is just so gorgeous. It has multi-chrome color, greenish tint on one side and fuschia on the other. It’s so hard to capture the beauty of this paint. Now that all letters are sent out, here’s the look of 2019 season greeting artwork. I finally able to make a wreath! Yeayy! I pulled so many references for this one. Still trying out many ways of watercoloring. —— And that will be my goal for 2020. I need to do more watercolor. Because i haven’t found my own style of this particular skillset. It’s pretty tricky. Maybe gonna try less layout and more on smaller objects now. I keep trying out big and layout drawings, but i still haven’t explored the watercoloring part itself. Feels like i get ahead of myself whenever watercoloring is involved. But, i know i need to learn more about this medium. So, once a month posting of watercolor gonna be my new target. Hopefully i won’t break this goal. 🤞🏻 —— P.s. the ribbon lining is done with metallic paints on nib. So it looks thinner, but easier to make lines with it. My review on @thecreativekinds new set, A Blissful Day. Purchased in January, but just got around to do it now 😅 Got to play around with what i’ve learn from @mrmgward signature design online course and some @anneelser flourishes inspired. Lil bit heavy on flourish part, but i quite like it. —— This time i got to play around with it as watercolor instead calligraphy flourishes. A Blissful Day set is very pretty. As usual, pigmented colors & high-definition blings, very solid on white or black papers. Since i did the watercolor on white, i wrote the swatches on black. Many elements in this design is totally improvised, like that cloudy background. Wasn’t gonna use 3 colors on it, but apparently sweet peach, dusty rose & dusty blue make up such sweet colors. The wine glass is totally inspired from bordeaux color. Istg, Bas & Nana nail this color. It is beautiful for calligraphy, but when you blend in as watercolor, it has its own charm. Been waiting for such color on calligraphy ink and boy did TCK delivers. Dusty Rose & Bordeaux are my faves on this set. A very much overdue review on this amazing local brand lipcoats. The minimatte collection from @dearmebeauty is a lipcoat, with matte finish and consist of 3 different shades, Dear Felice, Dear Rachel & Dear Winna. —— Love that they made mini sizes, simply because i’ll never be able to finish even 1 full size lipstick, let alone 3 full lipsticks. The lipcoat is very easy to apply and stay quite long time, unless you do eat greasy full course meal. I thought it’ll be very drying since it’s matte finish, but surprisingly it isn’t. I love love LOVE the packaging they did for this collection. I said it before in my instastory, whoever made this packaging need their salary raised. 🤣 —— From all 3 shades, i love Dear Felice the most, despite Dear Winna is the most matched on my skintone. Dear Rachel is the color i would use on certain occassions because i love the cool red pinkish color to it. Would love to put my lip swatches on here as well, but i’m not confident with my chapped lips 🤣🤣🤣. —— P.s the colors on my writing is NOT a representation on Dear Me Beauty Minimatte colors. Been trying quite a lot of local lip products lately. This is one of my fave for lip gloss. Poppy Jam Lip Glaze from @blpbeauty. Love that it doesn’t have any smell to it. The liquid is very smooth and creamy. Thought the color will be pinker, but it turns into mauvy brown pink-ish color. Which is still nice. I love that it has a MLBB effect on my lips, but darker tone than i usually have. Since it’s a lip gloss/lip glaze texture, this will easily gone within hours. But i like reapplying lip products anyway. Not to mention my lips is loving this lip product so much. No bad reaction whatsoever. Best lip gloss i had, worth the review & the money. And it has such a sleek and clean packaging. ❤️❤️❤️ —— P.s wanted to take selfie for the application but rather not. So unskilled on that area. Lately i’ve been writing with these 3 different x-heights for my calligraphy. I used to think 5mm is high enough to write, but now i feel more comfortable on 6.5mm. While 8mm feels great for the x-height letters, it turns really ugly for my unstable ascenders & descenders. And yet, i remember @anintran recommended 8mm x-height for beginners, because you simply can’t hide the imperfections and eventually know which parts you need to improve on. I understand it now and frankly, after long time off from calligraphy, writing on 8mm is somehow very satisfying. 😁 Btw, can i just say how amazing @foxandquills emerald green ink is? Now it kinda top the list of my fave inks for practice. And that green shade too... 😍 —— I’ve been experimenting this work sheets for my upcoming workshop this end of april, hosted by @tkmdii.untar. Been a bit busy these past couple of weeks. Not being able to practice my calligraphy too much. Hence no able to take pictures for post as well. There’ll be something coming up very soon, i’m so excited to share it with you. I’ll post it when it happens! 😘 —— Here’s a look on @michaelrsull oblique penholder. I got a chance to buy it with the great help of @ninamareta & @jerome_jonathan who were attending Michael Sull’s workshop in SG early this month. Heard lots of great things about Sull’s pen holder and yes, it easily exceeds every expectations. I love how it has a wider body and just the right weight for my hand. And the best thing about this holder is the flange’s angle. It’s not as expensive as i thought it’ll be. If there’s one penholder you want to have for investment, i highly recommend this one. With this holder, now i have 2 favorite oblique penholders. 2 words. Worth it. When they say this is the culmination of the past 22 movies, they are not kidding. Infinity War was epic.
