not sure about you but i have this headcanon of movie nerd bf x musical theatre gf. it consists of ewan being such a huge fan of reader who is like rachel zegler. like darling, she'd be casted as one of the regulars in season two. he watched her in west side and was quite impressed and inspired in both her acting and voice. what he didn't anticipate is how talented, beautiful and kind she'd be in real life. for example, her comforting emma, phia, olivia, bethany and other cast members because of some stupid HOTD fans and HBO not giving a crap about their safety.

sometimes, he'd catch her either warming up in the toilet or stairway before her performance with the orchestra of HOTD or for a scene of the show. he then became part of the audience who would be lining up outside the toilet, waiting to take a photo with her, just to listen to her.

like in chemical override, ewan was initially going around in circles in making a move with her. tgc, being the cheeky guy he is, noticed ewan's obsession and ended up singing with her for one of his videos. you could imagine him laughing at ewan bristling and brimming with jealousy. but, of course, his possessiveness didn't come out until he saw her working with a co-star in trying to nail both the acting and singing aspects of a romantic musical film. he saw how she has to be a bit handsier with her co-star in order to nail some notes and ended up becoming a bit more territorial with her. and that was when he confessed how she both inspired him as an actor and as a person.

reader, who initially had a bf, ended up gently turning him down. however, some cracks began to show in her relationship. there were moments where she couldn't sing with the orchestra because she had been crying, which wasn't great for her voice. finally, after some deliberation, the she and her bf finally broke it off. ewan, deciding that it is now or never, ended up snatching her pretty quickly because, if a guy could get her, then there was the risk of him losing her forever. hence, him begging her to get at least one date.

reader, realising how caring he was, ended up gradually lowering her guard around him and allowed herself to be loved by him for the first time since her painful breakup.

i can definitely see him being such a huge simp for her. he has seen her in west side and ends up watching many of her singing videos she uploaded on youtube. and, of course, he'd cheer the hardest for her the moment the video of her singing in romeo and juliet went viral on YT and Tiktok. he'd definitely make comments like, "oh yeah, man. she is amazing. it was love at first sight for me. she's definitely extremely talented. she's incredibly brilliant. she deserves that golden globe".

of course, reader would cheer him extremely hard the minute ewan bagged that role with stephen spielberg, posting on Instagram, saying, "i'm handing the torch to you now, babe! you'll be in great hands!"

i can see him being a bit jealous at tom blyth if she is in, "the hunger games: ballad of songbirds & snakes", as she has to kiss her co-star and seeing those edits online of him being a gentleman to her. of course, tom blyth laughed at him and reassured ewan that there is nothing between the two of them. he also commented, "relax, mate! she talks about you a lot! so, no need to worry!"

and, of course, i can see reader flirting with ewan by singing some of his favourite heavy metal songs. i can also see her flirting at ewan by singing at him while he plays his guitar. cue ewan blushing his head off at reader seducing him with her angelic voice and acting like a schoolboy when his crush finally noticed him.

i saw that picture of ewan in theatre where emma had their play. it was incredibly boyfriend of him.

i know that some of us say that darling might do a play, like emma, and that you don't want to make her the chosen one. however, if i have a sliver of your talent in doing an rpf, in my headcanon, she is a trained classical soprano who can act on television and films and the next thing you know, she can belt out songs from phantom of the opera, les miserables, mozart's operas (e.g. allelulia) and so much more in theatre.

in my headcanon, hollywood being, well, hollywood, made the mistake of casting a big name A-list actress to play christine who is not a trained classical soprano (yes. i am doing a nod to margot robbie being casted as cathy in wuthering heights). darling, having heard about it, accepted the role as christine, which led fans to speculate her annoyance at the situation. they see it as her telling the casting directors of their loss. whilst the movie was review bombed, darling had a standing ovation for both her acting and voice.

of course, ewan, being the boyfriend he is, ends up bringing her a bouquet of roses from his bag, with fans cheering for the two of them. ewan would be gushing his head off when he is being interviewed.

i also think that it will be a fun dynamic of metalhead bf ewan x classical soprano darling. two opposites, like the sun and moon, and yet, they suit each other. just imagine, him, being all black, while she wears incredibly feminine and girly clothing with flowers woven into her hair.

Hi! TheCatAnon here. i just have this cute headcanon of ewan, darling and matt as their animal counter parts. if this feels rude, you are more than welcome to not share this on your blog. the purpose of this is to have a little funsy headcanon.

ewan is definitely the black cat who loves to rub himself against his darling. he'd nuzzle against her and loves to lick her clean with a series of purrs coming out from him. he'd run away from others and is just like meh with them. but with his darling? he'd follow her everywhere with his tail up and intertwining with hers and his body would be pressed against hers as they walk together.

for darling, given on how they are in an fwb, rn, i think she'd either tolerate or hiss at him. she'd try to run away from him.....only for ewan the cat to keep chasing her. i think she might hiss at him sometimes. but, given how exhausted she is with him, i think she might just lean into tolerating him and just inserts eye-roll here and there.

as for matt smith? i think it will be a doggo. matt smith the happy doggo would come bounding towards reader with his butt up and tail wagging. he'd come along and try to play with darling.....only for ewan the cat to come, arch his back and hiss.

oh yeah. as a bit of an fyi, cats love to rub themselves against their owners to leave their scent on them. kind of like marking their territories. so, yeah, it is a bit possessive.

so, given how possessive ewan is towards his darling, i think he would hiss at matt the happy doggo before taking his darling away and rub himself all over her. given on how they are in an fwb, i think he would bite the scruff of her neck before climbing on her back and doing the deed on her.

and, of course, darling would scream and try to scratch his face off.

i think we need an overachieving eldest daughter reader x derby boy ewan mitchell. or, overachieving eldest daughter reader x matt smith. let's face it: eldest daughters are ambitious, driven and can be tough as hell. she ends up terrifying all the boys in the yard. enter our favourite derby-boy or successful actor matt smith.

with ewan, because of his derbyshire upbringing, he can handle someone who is driven, whip-smart and ambitious with a type A personality. i know that you don't want a chosen one reader but there is a research that eldest daughters are incredibly ambitious. hence, i can see her transitioning from acting to directing. be it to creative director at an animated film. or directing films. she gets made fun of for being uptight and uncool but, once you get to know her, she is kind and loving. enter our favourite derby-boy. ewan, having watched her films, ends up fanboying when he meets her. much to her horror, unlike her previous boys that her mum sets up with her tinder dates, she is unable to scare him away e.g. being the only one who can deal with her temper. i can see a bit of drama between the two of them: he is a heart over head type of person while she is a head over heart, even though it is killing her inside. nevertheless, he has a soothing presence which helps calm her down. also, which one is scarier: a derby boy or a grumpy and burnt out overachieving eldest daughter? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

as for matt, he is a successful actor who, without a doubt, is incredibly secure with himself. i can see a bit of age gap between the two of them. she is a rising star while he is an established actor. having watched her films, matt became a bit of a fan of her. when he met her, he is enthralled by her talent, tenacity and driven personality. he could tell that she was trying to scare him off, just like her previous dates. their first date was him "blackmailing" after she shoved him to a wall for trying to buy her something expensive. emma, liv, phia, bethany and tgc, sensing a great drama between the two of them, end up restraining her, while she is screaming to not buy that expensive dress. matt is like, "oh. I am going to have so much fun spoiling you". because of the fact that he is secure with himself, he is not scared of by her character and, in fact, chose to give her that warm and steady presence that she desperately craves in her life. he then becomes the constant presence in her life by helping her lighten her load, which allows her to let her guard down for the first time in her life.

Luv, this would be such a good story!

his darling, feeling overwhelmed because of her complicated true love and rebound in the same room, ends up going to the maze to gather her thoughts. our favourite derby boy, as always, chases after her. and he ends up seducing her. they then end up doing it under the gazebo of lilies with their masks still on.

I hate to be negative but, if Ewan Mitchell has a partner irl, I really do hope that he defends her from haters. It's because everyone on Tiktok is currently seeing this trend of unknown/well-known actors who don't defend their partners when they are harassed. (I am looking at you, Robert Pattinson). If he does not defend her, it will definitely leave an extremely bad taste in my mouth for this guy.

No matter what, I hope they'll be happy in their private life. That's my stance with celeb couples. I don't think they should do this or that, they don't owe us anything. And even if one would publicly defend their partner, there'll always be dissatisfaction among such "fans". They'll just find another issue, another problem to dig up. Like – oh, is that all he said? He should've done more. He must not really like her, etc. – you know, all that bull.

And who knows what it's really like? Maybe they prefer keeping everything private and don't feel the need to address anything.
