Robin was greeted to the sound of a loud annoying buzzing. He had heard that sound plenty of times before. It could only be one thing. Jumping to the source of the noise, he was able to confirm it. Yeah it was definitely a security alarm going off. Entering the shadows, Robin watched and waited for the intruder to make their presence known.

“Oh you should be happy you got caught by me and not the big bad bat.  He would snap you up and turn you into the next robin and the cave is so crowded as it is. Plus he would probably lecture you about how what you are doing is wrong. I on the other hand have a semi warm bed and hopefully a fiancée to get back to so you get the ‘do not get yourself in too deep but you know whom to call if you do lecture’. Basically try not to kill or get killed and I will mostly leave you alone, the police however are a different story.”

Shadow sighed softly as she stood at the end of the alley. Three sleepless nights in a row and she just wanted to call back into bed and leave the crime fighting to the bat.

There was no way anyone in sane mind would be careless enough to wander into an abandoned factory as the darkness settled over a city such as this. At the though of any rebels or vigilantes who would dare venture into places such as this filled him with agitation. His work could be ruined be either or and he had no time for games or fights as he was nearing his work to a perfect formula at last. Reaching out to his guards over a closed off radio frequency he spoke,

"An intruder may be on the premises. Or an escapee. If it is the first, do not kill them. I will want to see what my newest formula can do to a fresh mind. If it is the latter, then do as you wish to them before dragging them back into their chambers. Show them where they belong, for they have lost their way.”

He proceeded to make his own rounds to be certain. Hired work tend to be lazy regardless of their pay and could ruin everything he has worked for.

"Wooo... I'm a ghost...." Xanthe popped her head into the building before looking both ways. "Huh?" She flipped in the window landing softly before looking around and walking down the hall. "Nobody is here... Wonder what Uncle thought would be here..." She frowned before pausing, "It's spooky... at least... viable safe house maybe..."

The announcement of a “ghost” and quiet whisperings caught the attention of the busy scientist. Whispers were not uncommon but for them to be so soft, so carefree… He could not allow it while the rest festered in their own fear. He turned his attention to the test subject on the table who was lulled in and out of consciousness by their own fear.

“I’ll be back later. Rest, rest, for the testing has just begun.” He assured as he let his right hand trail from their chin to their cheek, already feeling a stream of tears dripping down their face. He calmly walked out and locked the metal door behind him as he tried to find the voice again.
