📊 - How does your muse feel about the state of the world? Could it be better? Could it be worse?The world is an unfair, cruel place, and he - if you really think about it - has learned to fight it by being worse.  Now, before people get up in arms, lemme explain:  Hector is fair...In his own way.  He gives everyone fair shakes at finding a compromise - because he really does! - but he’s also a master of omission and lets them play without having the full deck and a full set of rules to bend the odds in his own favor.  He also likes to give the impression he is both less capable than he really is, and less learned and aware - that whole humble pirate schtick, because that did not only apply to the curse.  He will morph himself to be what he needs to be - much like Jack, those two are two sides of the same coin - in the moment, and whatever the other person expects him to be, because it gives him a chance to both be underestimated and to observe because people are invariably going to let their guard down if they think he’s less than what he actually is.

Now all that waffling being said, he knows the world is a cruel, hard place, and that to survive, you both have to learn to punch back when it tries to knock you off your feet, and roll with it when the world succeeds in doing so.  He’s taken his knocks, he’s gotten back on his feet, and he’s kept going.  He knows that things are unfairly balanced in the favor of a very few, and the rest are left to be pushed down into the dirt and fend for themselves, but he’s found a corner of the world where he can actually push back against the status quo - and also something that he’s 1. good at and 2. enjoys possibly too much.  But he’s not out to change the world, because he’s not a hero.  As long as there are haves and have nots, he stands to profit.

Hanukkah: tag someone who you see as a light in the rpcEveryone’s favorite original wine mom, @qceenmother.  Literally needs no introduction, is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met in my entire life, is always spreading some positivity and love and just in general being an amazing bean with an amazing character and deserves every bit of love in return, full stop.  I don’t think I could peg anyone else for this slot because I mean.  You can’t get much higher than this right here.

Yule: tag someone who seems to always have a positive attitude@scrooqe is another adorable bean who seriously just always makes my day??  What a genuine sweetheart, I smile every time I get a random message from them because boy are they way too nice to me, look at me, I am a potato, but just genuinely a real good bean that I really like a lot.

Mistletoe: tag your shipping partners I actually don’t have many of these but I’m sticking to my one per rule.  First off we have @roipirate because I gotta get the gross one out of the way first.  But in all seriousness, Ophelia knows Lizzie inside and out, she has an excellent grasp on her internal workings and motivations, my stupid idiot boy loves her Lizzie so much, it’s so disgusting, and it’s the ship I said I never wanted but lbr, I’d die for them.  We’ve built one of those ships that has that real feel and have ended up becoming really good friends and now we have a closed verse and everything.  Ophelia herself the worst, tho.  0/10 do not recommend, does not like grits and therefore is wrong.
