It was clear that he wasn't impressed with him in the slightest. Arms crossed over his chest,he clenched his jaw a slightly and took a deep breath. He took a large step away from him to make sure the other couldn't touch him anymore. If he didn't get annoyed, all would be well enough. JIm just didn't see himself managing to stay calm around the guy. "Yeah, here's the thing: I'm not scratching your back, you won't scratch mine. Touch me like that again and you'll get burned. Literally."
Yeah well, if they were to count the number of people Jim knew on any intimate degree, it would amount to figures of one hand too. There wasn’t much use in pointing out an established fact. Tip of an arm perched on the curvature of an armrest, Tony lounges in a lethargic sprawl, limbs askew and hand still very dangerously close on the verge of reaching for another touch. “You scratch my back, I return the favor. This is me, returning the favor.”

There's a pressure on your calf muscle, Tony. At the very least, this time it isn't a permanent marker.

"I'd appreciate it--" Grunt. "-- if you wouldn't just /stare/, and help get this one fatass /moving/."
"Ah but staring is just so much more fun than working." The android steps forward, helping his Maker to push.

"Sweatpants and an NYU sweater. Should I be concerned, or is this where I break out the toasted marshmallows?"
"This is where you break out the small-batch whiskey and painkillers. That's also the answer to how my day went, by the way. Scoot over, I'm taking over the couch."

[TXT] You had a vision? Like of how you wanted to help or to change things for the better?
[TXT] I know that Stark Industries made its bread and butter on defense contracts and weapons manufacturing. And the surface story about Afghanistan is pretty well reported.
[TXT] I'm not some hippie who hates war, by the way, so I don't dislike how your family got its start with money. Wayne Enterprises has military contracts.
[TXT] Are you more proactive now? After New York? Do you think that it made you into a war hawk? No pun intended.
[text; freudian blonde]: a bit of both. sort of fell into it, but i had a vision even before all of the crazy happened.
[text; freudian blonde]: i mean, heroism had a different sort of context from where i stood before the whole afghan thing yknow. i changed lives, but its not by means of a very direct sense of causality
[text; freudian blonde]: im not where i am without a couple of burnt bridges and bruised toes
[text; freudian blonde]: being a target is a prerequisite

"I've got ample faith in you, Nick. Believe me. But I'd rather not send you into a den with five men armed with only a baseball bat."
“ Doesn't sound like ample faith to me.”
