There's, like, some cape-groupie wannabe influencer out there? that has some followers on some platform or another? and anyway they have or pretend to have the same first name as Skitter/Weaver/Khepri and make a big deal about this because they're looking for exposure and clout.

Still, when their fans or sockpuppets pop into regular conversation about important things to say "tee hee I thought you were talking about Taylor Runner for a minute! (or whatever the name is)" and pretend like this is a real mistake people could really make?

Be gentle and friendly, of course. Gently but FIRMLY shuffle them back into the children's play-zone area, pat them on the head and tell them they're wonderful, and then close the door behind you on the way back.

Gods damn imagine there's a cape attack and Rachel whistles and gestures and the rescued alley cats grow huge and one yawns and curls up on top of a Prius, one comes over and bumps her against a wall with its huge knobbly head (doing property damage, two of the scrappers pounce on a nearby brute (alas, an ally), and the tiger cub "Bastard" that she'd released from her carrier picks her up gently in its mouth and takes her (yelling in frustration) to the top of a skyscraper and licks her face and hair until she's sore.

The heroes insist on calling her Greymalkin and she's wanted because she killed Skidmark for what he called her (well, it was an accident), but nobody really tries to arrest her because her companions are too cute and it'd be bad PR.

And some people just come to her 'territory' and leave caches of food...some of it in large dishes.

One day Rachel wakes up and finds a bleeding but proud Tabbypanther (her one-eyed crop-tailed oldest tomcat) placing a mangled Victor corpse on the foot of her bed.

She still raids the dogfighting operations. Even she couldn't tell you why.

I wish Rachel had cat powers. Not for thematic reasons I just can draw cats really easy bada bing bada boom but every time I try to draw a dog it ends up like a human dog fusion thing or looks like paw patrol

I'm gonna go a bit controversial:

Skidmark was great at coming up with cape names that fit his aesthetic.

Names were better in Worm than they were in Ward.

But the S9 have the worst names. Jack was just an idiot about everything and it was infectious.

...though Cauldron was a very close runner-up.

The Yangban stank on purpose so they get a pass.

Accord was probably leaning heavily on OpSec so he and his get actual accolades for meeting that aesthetic.

Brian accidentally outed himself to a nerd and the nerd put him on the path of "Grue" and Brian doesn't even know it. But it's great.
