Robin Hughes Harris (August 30, 1953 – March 18, 1990) was an American comedian and actor, known for his recurring comic sketch about "Bé-bé's Kids". He was posthumously nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male for his performance in film House Party.
Robin Harris was born in Chicago, Illinois. In 1961, the family moved to Los Angeles, where he attended Manual Arts High School. Harris then attended Ottawa University in Kansas. According to The Washington Post, "...in the funeral program was a picture of him as a lean high school track star. He earned an athletic scholarship to Ottawa University in Kansas, and he never gave up playing basketball."
During this time, he began to hone his craft of comedy. He worked for Hughes Aircraft, a rental car company, and Security Pacific Bank to pay his bills. In 1980, he debuted at Los Angeles' Comedy Store.
During the mid-1980s, Harris worked as the master of ceremonies at the Comedy Act Theater. His "old school" brand of humor began to gain him a mainstream following. Harris made his acting debut playing a bartender in I'm Gonna Git You Sucka (1988). Harris also had roles in 1989's Do the Right Thing and Harlem Nights. Harris played the father of Kid in House Party (1990). He followed up later that year with a small role as a jazz club MC in Mo' Better Blues.
In Harris' "Bé-bé's Kids" routines, Harris' girlfriend Jamika would insist that he take her son and her friend Bé-bé's three children with them on a date, as she continually agreed to babysit them. The children would regularly make a fool out of and/or annoy Harris. "We Bé-bé's kids", they would proclaim, "we don't die...we multiply."
The Hudlin Brothers had intended to make a feature film based upon the "Bé-bé's Kids" sketches, but Harris died while the film was in pre-production. Bébé's Kids instead became an animated feature. It was directed by Bruce W. Smith and featured the voices of Faizon Love (as Harris), Vanessa Bell Calloway, Marques Houston, Nell Carter, Jonell Green, Rich Little, and Tone Lōc.
In the early hours of March 18, 1990, Harris died in his sleep of a heart attack in the hotel room of his hometown Chicago's Four Season Hotel after performing for a sold out crowd at the Regal Theater, at the age of 36. At the time of Harris's death, his wife was pregnant with their son, Robin Harris, Jr., who was born six months later, in September 1990.
In 2006, a posthumous DVD, titled We Don't Die, We Multiply: The Robin Harris Story (2006), was released. The film features never-before seen performances by Harris and accolades from such contemporaries as Martin Lawrence, Bernie Mac, Cedric the Entertainer, D. L. Hughley, Robert Townsend, and Joe Torry. The film features a rap performed and dedicated to Harris by his son, Robin, Jr.

GERTRUDE "MISS JACKAL" MARQUES
28 Year old
A retired Japanese-Spanish actor from Italy that moved to Defiance, Mississippi after her Divorce with her cheating husband, Miss jackal works as a sex worker in the 1917's and marrying another man only to kill him later for his riches.
She now collects and hoards Antique items in her mansion creating small town shows using her acting skills and props.
She met a group of Carnival actors and created a group filled with actors and theater people alike and met her soulmate and family through them (especially two men she soon fell inlove with)
She's a stubborn, impulsive, and melancholic woman who only wishes for time to slow down and reminisce about the past.
Her sadness only grew when one of her Lovers died after an accident involving with the said acting group and the police. Her hate for the government grew strong after that.
She likes doing silly roleplays with her collection of clothes and frolicking in the garden while running around with a shotgun (it makes her feel cool)
-------
Done!! I like how this turned out but I could have done better with the lighting and shadows. It's worth it tho!! I had a fun time designing her coat and pants (based on the Kimono Haori)
Also I didn't do too bad with the background and stuff cluttered around her. I'm very proud!!!

Upstate ‘Safe House’ With White Sand Beach And Panic Rooms Seeks $2.69M
— By Hannah Frishberg | September 24, 2024

This prepper-friendly abode in Upstate New York is looking for a new owner.
In the Hudson Valley, within the town of Chester, an emergency-ready sanctuary designed to be the ultimate “safe house” has hit the market with a $2.69 million price tag.
Among its unique amenities are steel-reinforced walls, a security gatehouse, a 4-inch concrete poured floor slab, a NASA-designed water filtration system, various emergency escape routes, panic rooms and a private helipad.
The home is approximately 8,200 square feet in all. Carlos Marques/Marcott Studios

The property is located in the lower Hudson Valley town of Chester. Carlos Marques/Marcott Studios
As well, it also boasts a saltwater pool and spa, a home theater, a gym, a library, a ballroom, a nearly 10,000-square-foot white-sand beach — plus a geometrical design that allows for portions of the house to be “shut down” so as to conserve energy, or take the home completely off-grid.
The approximately 8,200-square-foot five-bedroom, five-bathroom was built in 1986 for the Bancroft family, who owned the publishing company Dow Jones & Co. for the majority of the 20th century, Mansion Global first reported.
The architect, Paul Rudolph — best known for building the brutalist Yale Art and Architecture Building, today known as Rudolph Hall — used 18th-century cedar salvaged from the original homestead at the 19 Greentree Lane address.

Since 1999, the abode is set on close to 10 acres and has been owned by the security expert and TV personality Dave Vitalli, who described the residence to Mansion Global as being “perfect for all seasons. Drink your morning coffee or have a cocktail with friends in a cabana, throw a beach party or play beach volleyball in the summer, go hiking, horseback riding, skiing or ice skating, and visit the area’s wineries and organic farms.”
“It’s a secluded sanctuary and fortress for someone high profile,” Richard Healy of Corcoran Country Living, who shares the listing with his colleagues Marie-Claire Gladstone and Jason Karadus, told Mansion Global. “It’s a safe house, but it’s also a fun house — it’s the ultimate indoor/outdoor entertainment center, and it’s like having your own private resort.”

Also while I'm DBD posting-- they should have had chapter names on the Greenville theater marque. A showing of All Things Wicked followed by Decend Beyond or Shattered Bloodlines. If it wouldn't be too much work (probably is) just have a list it randomly picks from.

Melissa Etheridge at Circle In The Square is the singer telling you her life in remembrance and song. As she takes the stage it is evident that she has die hard fans in the audience. Under the smoke and purple lighting, Etheridge is bigger than life; so his her booming, raspy voice. Abigail Rosen Holmes has the lighting in between a nightclub feel and a concert. The set (Bruce Rodgers) is a simple one, the focus is clearly on the woman who's name is on the marque.
She starts the show about her childhood. Born in Leavenworth, Kansas, she has a very close relationship with her father who is both a teacher and a coach. Her mother is an angry woman and her sister and her never really got along. Loving music at any early stage in her life, she knew it was her calling. She started to play guitar at 8 years old and by 12 years old she was playing clubs with a band. Her father used to drive her and wait at the clubs much to her mothers chagrin.
At 14 years old her father bought her a piano and that is when she began writing songs. Where her father continually supported her love for music, her mother was indifferent to it. It was at this age that she knew that she was homosexual. After high school, she went to the prestigious Berkley School of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.
As college was brief, she used to hang out with a group of girls who took her to Lesbian bars and introduced her to mescalin and other psychedelic drugs. Within a year, Etheridge was back home in Kansas. It would be brief, however, her mother did not want her and her friends engaging in lesbian activity under her roof. Ending up in Kansas City she took a job singing and playing at a Magic Pan.
With an excellent supporting actor in Kate Owens, Etheridge was comically able to put forth various moments of her life. Owens played many roles from a groupie, the musician at the Magic Pan that Etheridge replaced, a presenter and so much more. Director Amy Tinkham was deft in mixing the various elements that added to this heartfelt show. Where everything was simplified... the staging, the set, the two worked in tandem brilliantly.
By the end of the first act, Etheridge was in Los Angeles, California. She found it difficult to break into the music business. Her big brake came when a record producer from Island Records saw her at a lesbian bar in Long Beach. It took 5 years to be discovered but she now had fame in her grasp.
While act two starts off at the same pace as act one, it falters mid way through. In 1988, Etheridge had her first record, her first tour and her first music video. This is about the same time as she meets a movie stars wife as she puts it and invites us to look it up. She performs "I Want To Come Over" which brought the house down. As her life moves at a whirlwind pace, she now has a second and third album, a Grammy, and a partner who wants to have a baby. Her father is dying and she now has a second child, one who will die years later from a fentanyl overdose during the pandemic.
As fast as she rose, the fall of cancer, the loss of her father and now her son has left her in turmoil. But it is not this that brings the second act down; the show spends to much time on the psychedelics, the cannabis cookies, the trips, the Sharma and she can be pretty preachy about her politics. It is one thing to have a political view, it is quite another to talk at us as an audience. She mentions getting an Oscar for writing songs to Al Gore "An Inconvenient Truth"; never mentions that Gore fudged the numbers and lied to the American people in this documentary, however.
While "Come To My Window" is fun (a solid B grade), it stumbles in the second act, however, it was fun indeed to watch this talented musician perform in a small, intimate setting sharing her life with us.

Alex Edelman Theater Review.
Alex Edelman is a cross between a Woody Allen and Jeff Goldblum. His movements are somewhat fast paced and he comes of scattered when "kvetching" about his life.
