DAMN that's even more than i found. i was admittedly crude with my scraping method, grabbing any keyword specific to she-ra i could think of (mostly characters names) and filtering for tweets by crew with those words so i wouldn't be wading through years of irrelevant posts, but obviously that first post by nate didn't include any she-ra keywords (aside from the studio i didn't know the name of before i started this current dive) so stuff slipped through the cracks. this knowledge is now going to haunt me (more tweets linked in the replies)

Vague and yet specific instructions on how to make a paper star

@theartoffailure so glad you asked

So what you wanna do is take a regular sheet of paper and put it in front of you like you're about to write this fucking masterpiece, yeah ? So it's taller than it is wide. Next, you're gonna make strips that are anywhere between 0.7 to 1cm tall (so it should be 21cm long, know what I mean ?)

Next, you're gonna take a strip and make a loop. Imagine the "all against sida" pink ribbon kind of loop. I hope I'm thinking of the correct ribbon.

Then one of the ends of the strip goes through the loop and you tighten that motherfucker. You should have a pentagon with 2 lil strippy things coming out of it. Take those strips and bend them but bend them in this very particular way.

So, on one side of a strip, there is a flat side and a V sort of looking side. What you wanna do is bend towards the flat side (so the V side is visible but the flat one isn't) to guide the strip. I say guide because the strip need to be bend in a very particular way and the flat side is your guide. So if the flat side is like \, you don't bend the strip like /.

Keep doing this. And if you've done it correctly, the pentagonal shape remains.

Then, you should have one lil bit of strip loose. "But spEYcey, how do I make it NOT loose ?" I hear you ask. Easy.

You tuck it into the V looking side in front of it (you'll see what I mean). And when it's all tuckered out, you should have your pentagon.

"But that's not a star-" I know. The magic happens here. You take your thumb and index and you pinch 2 adjacent sides of the pentagon. Do this to the remaining side. Boom.

Star.
