In one of your posts you talked about how the TGG charcters leave a bad taste in your mouth and while some of the TIG charcters were spoiled they still had constant reminders they were human and I agree.
I'd like to talk about Lyra . People love to talk about how much better she is than Avery because "she's focused on family while Avery's focused on puzzles" . When Ave has every right to know answers considering people are trying to kill her left and right and it's not like she stopped caring or even loving Libby throughout the books
People don't talk about how entitled Lyra came off when she first started calling him in brothers Hawthorne , were we supposed to hate Grayson because he asked who this random person who just trauma dumped on him was ?.
Even after she saw him again in TGG I didn't feel bad that Grayson told her to stop calling. Also some people actively forget that Lyra KNEW she was trauma dumping on someone who's gone through a lot .
It also makes a lot more weird that she was kind of flirting with him in The brothers Hawthorne
Ok, first off, you shared a lot of thoughts in the last while and I am happy to be the one you're sharing this with. Respect that a lot. Also, you are telling me people are not respecting my OG girl. Where are these opinions being said so I can go hate and cancel?
Jokes aside, opinion is opinioning as always. I would argue Avery is VERY focused on family. Her loyalty and constant worry for Libby is literally introduced to us within a few pages of her introduction! Heck, her introduction is being with disguised Toby which was someone she offered companionship and cared for despite her own tight situation. She cared for the brothers and tried to get Jameson to get his head out of his ass. Grayson too. She let Nash become her unofficial older brother. She immediately hit it off with Xander and tried offering him support where possible even when he refused it. And despite them sure as heck not deserving it, she even still hangs with Thea and Rebecca. Oh, and didn't she literally try helping Eve before the evidence started turning on her? Basically, that's a huge part of Avery's arc.
Avery only got roped up into the puzzles because that was clearly the only way she was going to get answers in the first place and even so, you can tell that she doesn't always like them. Why else was she so appalled by Jameson's dumbassery after their first kiss? I even wrote a rewrite of that sequence so she would be more pissed with him!
Regarding Lyra, yes, very good point to bring up. Home girl hit him up and of course his reaction is WTF. I can't blame him for that at all. I would have literally blocked and not even answered if I was in his place. I guess from Lyra's perspective, because he was most vulnerable in a sense, she must have chosen Grayson strategically. It's also revealed in TGG she had a crush on him so I definitely think that strengthens the cause. Grayson may not be without faults but this is part of why it's hard to connect with the newer characters in TGG. It's like even though you want to root for them, they keep going and doing something that ruins their chances of being more likeable.
I hope JLB touches more on this for character development.

Jeremy shows up to practice fifteen minutes early and finds Jean in the team lounge. "This is for you," he says.
Jean expects those words, like all the other times he's heard them, to be accompanied with a bright smile and flowers, or chocolate, or a plate of whipped cream to the face—don't worry, revenge was had—but instead finds himself staring at...a note.
White flash card, folded twice, one corner bent back down halfway for no good reason at all, and the memories hit Jean like a racquetto the head. How many of those noted had he been given? Shoved into hands without stopping to look and passed on just as quickly.
Jean is a man of instincts. Reflexes. Ingrained responses so deep the brain need not bother, for the body already knows.
And this note is a cue his body knows too well. One, take the note before anyone can think to come near it. Two, shove it into his pocket before anyone can see. Three, storm down the hall to tell Kevin that he is NOT waiting for 45 minutes again while he agonizes over a two fucking sentence response, and—
The door opens again, San Diego sunlight blinding him as two more teammates come in, and Jean remembers Kevin isn't here. Which means. Which means.
He unfolds the paper too quickly—it would've torn if it had been thinner, but the thick flash card just gets stuck. Typical. Holy shit, typical.
Thea's handwriting is the same precise script as ever (except the lowercase g's for some reason). The letters are smaller than the guidelines, like she didn't know how much space she needed to write everything she wanted to say.
Hi Jean. Kevin says you're doing well. Or rather, Kevin says that Jeremy says. Not that I think Jeremy would lie, but there's only one messenger I've every really trusted, and that's you. I'll be in SD sometime next week. Give me a call.
A phone number is scrawled beneath. No signature. Overall, it takes just over half the card; either she miscalculated or she had more to say but instead chose self censure. Both options are unlike her.
The myriad pieces of Jean's mind read the note, over and over, all slightly out of synch from one another so rather than comprehension he only gets nose.
"Jean?" Jeremy's had on his shoulder, concerned. Jeans hand jerks upwards, sharply, and then he brings it back down as he turns to face Jeremy, pretending he hadn't been this close to stuffing the note in his mouth. "You good, man?"
Good question. Great, even. Jean has a better one. "Who gave you the note?"
Jeremy frowns even harder. It doesn't suit him, brow furrowed like that when he isn't trying to run through a backliner like they're made of tissue paper. "Coach Rhemann came back from Texas this morning, told me Muldani gave it to him. With very specific instructions not to open it. I met Coach, he gave it to me."
Of course. Thea doesn't ask for things; it's the first piece of advice she ever gave him. If you want, and you can, then do it. Forget who might stand in your way; they can only try, same as you.
"Jean?" Jeremy asks again. "What did the note say?"
Thea wanted to pass a message to Jean without Jeremy in the way. Well, maybe fuck what Thea wants. Jean hands him the note. Jeremy skims it, raises a brow. "What does she mean, that she only trusts you?"
His concern, born of meeting Jean back at Abby Winfield's house and fed by the steady trickle of Jean's stories of the Nest, seems momentarily absurd. "The Ravens weren't allowed to date," Jean says simply, as he had many times before. When Jeremy seems to catch on, he nods at the note. "I was their favorite messenger. Well. I was the only one who wouldn't sell them out."
"Why didn't you?"
Because Kevin was his friend. Because Thea deserved better than anything the Nest could ope to give her, much less dare to deny. Because every breath Jean took in protest to that tar pit came filled his lungs just a little bit deeper.
"Because then I got to read Kevin's love letters."
Jeremy's eyes go wide. "Shakespeare?"
"Poe."
Some teammates turn at the sound of their captain's laughter. More turn when they hear him hit the floor. Jean gives them all a plain look.
He takes the note back from Jeremy's twitching fingers—it's best to let him wear himself out on such occasions—and stares at the phone number.
Thea does not ask, she acts. If Thea wants to come down here and see him, then nothing stands in her way.
Except Jean. If he doesn't call, if he doesn't show, he's sure she won't push. She will never call or text or write a note to him again and all he has to do is nothing.
The thought rumbles through the dark halls of his mind that still belong to the Nest, like a freight train pushing forward too much air, pushing, pushing until the wall ahead falls apart from the pressure and—
Sunlight. The lounge door is open again. More teammates, almost late, confused by their laughing captain.
Jean takes out his cell.

thea have you ever written fanfic
yes of course. my greatest pleasure in life is writing fic on the Scrievener app on my phone and then forgetting i wrote it and then discovery it a year or two later. i'm like "wow she really knew what i'd like to read"
My only published one (that isn't from like 12 years ago and on an account I don't even remember) is my mash manifesto. i wrote her in one fevered sitting and it shows, but i stand by her.

Personal Sebastian Sallow Headcanons (pt. 1/?)
◆ He's an October Scorpio - The characteristics line up so well and I really like the idea of him being one of the older students in his class ◆ Is the younger twin - Anne never lets him forget it. ◆ Sebastian's looks favor his father's - This plays a role in Solomon's hostility towards him. ◆ He’s Scottish and was born and raised either in New Towne Edinburgh or on the outskirts - Edinburgh in the 1800s was a foul place to live, at least in the city center, Old Towne. - I see his parents being drawn to Edinburgh. It has such a vast history and holds a lot of knowledge, but they knew they wanted to start a family and decided to settle down away from the city proper. - I don't see them having a grand mansion, more so a comfortable townhome ◆ His parents are published authors - The funds from this is what allowed them buy property in New Towne. - They left a modest inheritance to the twins that they will receive when they turn 17. ◆ After their deaths, Solomon sold the house and most of the items within to gather money to afford to care for two children. - Sebastian and Anne were able to stow away some of the parents' belongs, such as; their favorite books, jewelry, pocket watch, photo albums, and letters. ◆ His parents have portraits at Hogwarts - After the portrait versions of themselves learned of their real-life deaths, they asked to be stowed away when it came time for Sebastian and Anne to attend Hogwarts to avoid a possible unhealthy fixation on the paintings. (Imagine a scenario similar to when Harry found the Mirror of Erised and visited it every night to stare into it.) ◆ He's a virgin - Since I've given them an October birthday, the Sallow twins were 14 when Anne was cursed the summer before their 4th year. After she was cursed, the entirety of his focus and drive went into Anne and finding a cure. The only exceptions to this, pre-5th year, were his academic studies and his friendship with Ominis. - In his 3rd year, a 5th year girl took an interest in Sebastian and propositioned him to teach him the ways of physical pleasure. She was pretty, older, and he liked the attention. She thought he was cute and liked the idea of being the one in control. He was 14, she was 16. It never went past oral though. - Sebastian didn't like the idea of "ruining" (using era-accurate verbiage here) a girl because he would kill anyone who did that to Anne. - The 5th year girl played a role in giving him the confidence (charm, flirtation, etc.) we experience later. This led him to snogging other girls while in his 3rd year, but only those in years above him. He cringed at the thought of Anne hearing firsthand about his escapades from someone in their own year. - He had his first kiss at the age of 12 though. A traveling merchant's daughter who was the same age and visited Feldcroft for a few days before moving on to the next town. It was extremely awkward but also adorable. - Sebastian is canonically very well-read. That does not exclude literature on the topic of intercourse just because he's a virgin. He's read everything he's been able to find and has his own hidden copy of the Kama Sutra stashed away. ◆ He's naturally athletic - Working in the Feldcroft fields while growing up has kept him healthy and in-shape. Being an avid dueler has also helped. - He tried out for the Quidditch team his 2nd and 3rd years, but lost out to older students. He had planned to try again, but Anne's curse changed everything. ◆ He becomes a Beater for the Slytherin team his 6th year - You cannot tell me that this man doesn't become more broad and muscled as he grows. With shoulders and arms like that, his competitiveness/prowess, and his desire to impress Thea (MC), he becomes one of the best Beaters Hogwarts has ever seen.

REBECCA LAUGHLIN RANT:
I don't get the Rebecca Laughlin hate at all, i mean i get it if you're still on the first book, but if you have finished the whole trilogy and you still hate her then you don't understand her character at all. She started off..not really good and trustworthy, she made mistakes, BUT Bex had a great character development through the series, you have to understand how deep and overlooked her trauma is, like ms.girl NEVER in her life ever had what she wanted, it was always about what Emily wanted, she was never visible, Rebecca had always hid behind Emily's back (not in a good way) and had been overshadowed by her manipulative, b*tch sister, her parents never appreciated her or paid attention to her, they were like "Em has a heart condition, treat her right and do whatever she wants" TF??
Remember that one time Bex said something like "Emily liked me, as long as i did what she wanted and didn't get in her way"...and even tho Emily was such a terrible sister to her, she still loved her, still cared about her, still blamed herself for Emily's death.
Her own mother chose a girl with her dead daughter's face over her💀.
Also are we forgetting the fact that she begged Thea to not cover up for Emily? And Thea still did. Like the girl she loved the most still chose her sister over her.
And as if that wasn't enough trauma Eve appears in the final book, just imagine the pain she'd feel seeing girl with her dead sister's face.
The fact that she forgave Thea for her behavour says how anazing of a person she is.
She may have done some minor mistakes, but overall she is one of the underrated and sweet character. And she's, minus Max and Xander, closest person to a friend Ave ever had.

i saw your post saying you wanted ff requests, and i don't know if this is specific enough for you, if it's not, thats fine and you don't have to do it, but i'd love for you to write an averyjameson fic where avery has a panic attack during an event of some sorts (any reason; reminders of the shooting, etc), and jamie finds her in an empty hallway and comforts her with like forehead kisses and by whispering sweet nothings in her ear.
OOOOO OKAYY (and dw it’s specific enough 💗💗)
——————————————————————————
I patted down my dress, hoping to make the time pass by faster. As a result of Jamesons brushes with the law, Alisa dragged us to another fancy party to clear the air around us. The only thing was that tomorrow would mark the official day that my mom died. I wanted to get it off my mind, but it never would. That day will probably haunt me till the day I die. And having to fake smiles, engage in small talk, and pretend like I belong here just makes everything more difficult. I held in a breath as Grayson, Jameson, Nash, and another rich family that Tobias was associated with walked towards me. I forced a smile.
“Hello, Mr and Mrs. Beaumont. How are you enjoying the party so far?” I asked, morphing my face into something pleasant. The truth was, I hadn’t told Jameson that tomorrow marked the day that my mom had died because I wanted to get it off my mind. But now I sort of wished I had somebody who understood what was going on, somebody like Jameson. Mr. Beaumont flashed me a winning smile.
“It’s quite the party, Ms. Grambs. I love the venue, very nice and old fashioned.” He said, smiling. I smiled back.
“Alisa wanted this place to have a cozy, yet elegant feel. I suggested it myself.” Nash said, tipping his hat. I caught Jamesons eye and immediately his smile turned into a frown. I wondered if he could really read the sadness on my face that well, when nobody else had seemed to notice. Is everything okay? He asked with his eyes. I looked away, swallowing. It felt horrible to push Jameson out, but honestly I just wanted to be alone right now. And I can’t tell him what’s going on anyway, with the Beaumonts in front of us. Mrs. Beaumont smiles, her eyes shimmering.
“So, I heard you’re creating a Game, Ms. Grambs?” She asks me. I nod.
“Yes. It involves 7 contestants from all around the world who have a chance to receive millions of dollars, if they can complete and win The Game. It’ll be mostly riddles, puzzles, and games that require your brain power. Me and the Hawthornes, as well as Rebecca and Thea, will be supplying the riddles and puzzles.” I respond. Her smiles widens.
“Well, aren’t you a smart girl? Thinking up riddles all on your own. Your mother must be so proud. I wish I had a girl, but instead I have 3 little boys who wreak havoc on each other.” She said with a laugh. She keeps talking about The Game, but all other conversation fades into background noise as my breathing stops. Your mother must be so proud. Was she proud, my mother? I didn’t know anymore. Because I didn’t know my mother anymore. I was starting to forget her belief in me, her love for me, her laugh, and that fills me up with an emptiness that nothing else ever could. Feeling the tears threaten to burst from my eyes, I butt into Graysons and Mr. Beaumonts conversation.
“I’m sorry, but I have to use the washroom, If you’ll excuse me.” I say, before turning and walking towards the hall. But as tears start to shine my eyes, my walk turns into a run, and suddenly I’m sprinting down the venue towards the exit. I speed past Libby, who’s giving me a wide eyed look and calling out my name, but I didn’t care. I needed to be away from all of this, because it was killing me. I shoved the doors open, gasping as the tears start sliding down my cheeks. I run into an empty hallway and spot a table, with a large white tablecloth blocking the legs of it. I duck under it and sit there, the tablecloth blocking anybody’s view of me, and sob into my knees. The hall was empty, but I still tried my best to cry as quietly as possible. After about 30 seconds of sobbing, I heard footsteps coming into the hall. I sucked in a breath as I tried to stay as quiet as I could, while also listening to see who it was. There wasn’t a voice, but from close to me I could hear a sigh, and immediately recognized it. Jameson. He walks closer, his footsteps getting louder. Suddenly, a breath catches in my throat and I sniff without meaning to. The footsteps stop, and then get way louder. Then, a hand yanks the table cloth up, and Jameson crawls under the table to sit next to me. He doesn’t put a hand around my waist, or kiss me, but instead speaks.
“Y’know, Heiress, we’re probably gonna have to go to another dinner party because of the drama that you sparked at this one.” He said, his voice joking. I didn’t say anything, but the sound of his voice was still comforting, so I soaked it in. Then, he turned to me, a serious look in his eyes.
“Your mother is proud of you. I can’t think of a reason she wouldn’t be.” He said. I turned to look at him, the eye contact making my stomach twist, and tears started to shine my eyes again.
“I just can’t stop wondering if I’m doing it all right. Or if I’m disappointing her or not.” I say, looking down at my knees. Then, I feel his arm slide around my waist, and the touch is so comforting I sigh.
“Of course you’re doing it right. You’re living your life, flying around the world and visiting all the places that you and her had planned to go. You donated almost all of the money you inherited to an amazing cause, became the world’s youngest philanthropist, and fell in love with an extremely handsome man.” He says, the ends of his lips tilting up at the last part. I smile myself, choking out a sob-laugh. His smile vanishes as he takes my face in his hands and kisses the tears off it. Each kiss feels like a balm on open wounds, and I was starting to regret not telling him about my mother’s death date being tomorrow earlier. When he’s done kissing my tears, he stares into my eyes, with so much love in his own I shiver.
“If your mother were around today, all she would be able to talk about is how proud you make her, Avery Kylie Grambs. Never forget that.” He whispered, his voice intense. I wiped my eyes with a smile and held his hand, before bringing my face close to his and kissing his forehead.
“I’ll try not to, Jameson Winchester Hawthorne.” I whispered back, using his full name just like how he had used mine. He grinned at me and brought his lips close to mine. I gave a small nod and suddenly, Jameson was kissing me, each brush of his lips making me want more and more. Eventually we separated, and I turned my body, laying my head on his chest. We both didn’t say a word, and I allowed myself to relax and soak up the moment, while focusing on the beat of Jamesons heart. I smile, and just for a moment, imagine my mother looking down on me, smiling as well.

i can talk about my ocs if i want this is a lawless land. picking songs for them to sing at karaoke night, under the cut
marigold sings pat benatar's "hit me with your best shot" because it's one of thea's favorite songs <3 and she has a lot of fun with brassy upbeat 80s vocals!! bold singin' words from a girl who CANNOT take a punch. very bouncy. tries to mime the guitar solo and forgets she's holding the mic and may have actually caused some damage to the system. thea will pay for it later it's fine
all are expecting evie to sing something weird or overtly sexual but she sings kirsty maccoll's "they don't know" very very earnestly. there is something extremely heartbreaking about how much love she sings it with, and who she's thinking of.
norie did not want to sing. is not going to sing. was pushed into singing by roslin who picked the song for her and it's kate bush's "wuthering heights," which she is really mad about because she actually does love the song, so the entire time she's just going >:( while mumble-singing into the microphone. least fun to watch UNLESS you're roslin, who thinks this is adorable.
roslin (who WOULD be a directioner in any situation where karaoke is a viable option) sings one direction's "best song ever" and then tries to transition towards performing the entire discography of one direction until norie (professional boy band hater) runs up and gets into a small fight with her trying to take the microphone away. both of them are probably pretty drunk by now so no one's winning. thea has to break it up
wrote one thing for thea but reconsidered im coming back to this one. sings bruce springsteen's "cover me" and knocks it out of the park. does not have a good singing voice but when you're a rough and tumble butch mom in your fifties you don't need one to do a lethal springsteen cover.

When the door opened, Alfred was the one who opened it. Alfred asked, "Thea, you're back. Lucas, it's good to see you again. Thanks for dropping Thea off. Would you like to come in?"Lucas said, "Hello Mr. Pennyworth. Oh, you're welcome. It's nothing. Sorry I won't be staying. I have some business to attend to."Alfred said, "I understand."Lucas said, "I'll see you soon then, Nix. Don't forget to stop by."Thea smiled, "Of course," she said.Lucas said, "Don't forget to dry off and have something warm to drink. You're soaked from the rain." Thea nodded, "Thank you." Lucas said, "Goodnight."Thea said, "Goodnight, lu-" when she heard footsteps.Thea turned her head that way. She tried to figure out who it was from the footsteps. "Little sister," said a voice. Then she felt two arms wrap around her.Thea returned the hug "Hello Cass. I didn't know you were back" she said. Cass said "noon" shortly. She narrowed her eyes at Lucas as she hugged her sister.Lucas said "Good evening" politely and smiled. Cass nodded as if to say hello. Her eyes were narrowed. Thea said "Cass please stop trying to kill my best friend with your looks. Even though I'm blind I can feel it"Cass said "best friend?" Tim said "yes. Lucas this is my sister cassandra cass for short. Cass this is my best friend and childhood friend lucas".Lucas said "hello. Thea has talked about you a lot. I'm glad". Cass said "she hasn't mentioned you at all" with a flat expression. Thea thought *oh my god if this keeps up the rowing conversation before we even start going out*.Alfred said "oh my young lady Cassandra, it's raining and it's not nice to leave Thea and Lucas out in the rain like this". Cass said "I understand".Lucas said "I better go. Good evening". Thea said "see you later Lucas. Thanks for the company". Lucas smiled "of course" he said and went to the car. Thea turned to the door and went inside. She took off her cloak her clothes were still wet. Alfred took the cloak "Thea you should stop going out without an umbrella" he said. Thea said "I'm sorry alfred I forgot". Cass poked her in the side.Thea winced in pain "What was that for?" she said in exasperation. Cass said "You didn't tell me" and glared. Thea scratched the back of her neck. Alfred said "Thea go change your clothes. It's important for you not to catch a cold". Thea nodded silently. She headed towards her room. Cass followed her into the room. She went into the dressing room. Cass stopped for a moment when she entered the room, she blinked. It was very well organized, everything was placed meticulously. She walked around the room as if she knew her way by heart, checked the labels and took out clothes. It was a blue wool pajama set. Thea said "I'm going to take a shower". Cass hummed a silent approval. She sat on Thea's bed. She started to wait..***Thea had indigestion when she found a way to get her father back. After sending Lucas the evidence with a note saying "I'm coming home soon. I miss you". She headed towards the exit of the cave with Pru and the others. What she didn't know was that when she left the cave this would be the last time she would see the sky. They were caught completely off guard and captured by the spider council.

The Perfect Finale Ch9
The group's eyes widened in shock. They didn't expect to be attacked by what looked to be an angry maestro. They snapped their fingers as a red cloud of smoke surrounded Kaylo's face, before she stopped struggling and passed out. The figure then glared at them again. "If you so much as interfere, I will make sure you don't see the light of day." They warned before shooting off into the sky.
"KAYLO!!" They shouted. "This is bad. Forget Prim, we gotta tell Balan about this NOW." Mei said. "As soon as we figure out how to get back across..." Leo said. "Kids? Kids! Are you OK?!" Stefan asked, coughing from the dust left behind from his home. "Kinda. But Kaylo's been kidnapped!" Rebecca exclaimed. Thea then came running out, her heart pounding.
"Where is he?! WHERE IS HE?!" She shouts, looking wildly for her daughter. "He uh...shot off into the sky." Lora said slowly, breaking the bad news to her. Thea began to hyperventilate. "No. No! NO! NO NO NO!! NOT MY BABY!! NOT HER!!" She cried, Stefan just barely breaking her fall. Trisha Jane furrowed her eyes. "But the strange thing is Miss Bruno, is that he looked kinda like Balan and Lance." She said.
This made the kids wonder. Could Kaylo's kidnapper have been from Wonderworld? And if they were, what were they doing in the real world? That's when Haoyu and Yuri finally arrived at the Bruno household. "Mrs Bruno! What happened?" Yuri asked. "MY BABY HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED!!!!" She sobbed. Mei looked Haoyu dead in the eyes.
"Haoyu. Change of plans. Round of the others and meet us at the Theater." She said. Haoyu nodded as he quickly lifted back into the air, and into town. "We got to get to Wonderworld PRONTO." Emma said. "Well...I don't think we'll have to go very far." Lora Jade said. In the midst of the panic and chaos that had occurred, Thea's sadness and pain had inadvertently called the Balan Theater to them.
"C'mon Hun...Let's go." Stefan said as he guided Thea to the theater doors. The kids filed in after them as they were met with the familiar hallway that lead into Wonderworld. "Balan? Balan? Where are you?" Rebecca called out. The group made their way through the theater until they were met by both maestros. Lance immediately took notice, as he felt the overwhelming negativity radiating from them.
Balan felt it too and his smile nearly dropped at the sight of them. "Goodness gracious! What happened to you?! You look like you were put through the ringer times 2!" He shouts. "Balan...we have a major problem. One that needs your kind of power." Stefan said, still cradling his still sobbing wife. "I can see that, but oh? You seem to he missing someone, Where is Miss Kaylo?" Balan asked.
That's when Thea started sobbing again, making both maestros look confused. "Balan! Kaylo's been kidnapped by someone who had Wonderworld Symbols in their eyes!" Lora blurted out. Balan tensed up and Lance cringed. Both maestros felt something that they haven't felt in a long time: Fear. Lora looked between the two "Um...Did I say something wrong?" She asked. Balan'a signature smile contorted into a frown. "Lora dear, I must know. Did this kidnapper look like a maestro?" He asked.
"Um...Yeah? He had eyes with Wonderworld symbols inside, and he kept calling Kaylo the 'Descendant of Mirabella'. And then he said that she was the key before he grabbed her." Lora explained. Lance's mobile tentacles stopped dead in their tracks. "After all these years...could it be?" He mutters "He couldn't have found it...Could he?" Balan muttered. The kids got worried. If Balan and Lance, the two ALL POWERFUL maestros were scared, then it couldn't be good.
"Um...Who exactly are we talking about here?" Leo asked. The two maestro looked at him before they said in perfect sync "Come With Us." As they began to walk. Shrugging, the kids followed the maestros deeper and deeper into the Wonderworld Library, past the forbidden chapters, and led them to a door with a sign that read "Maestro's Only! Nobody but the Positive and Negative Maestros beyond this point!"
Balan and Lance revealed two keys, each with side of a heart, and unlocked the door, revealing a very intricate, and dizzying lock. The lock finally opened, and revealed a book that was twice Balan and Lance's size, covered in drops, and it read:
The History of Wonderworld
"I never thought I would have seen this day...Who you have seen, is who should have been cast away." Balan said, before opening the book, and turning to a chapter that read:
The Banished Maestro
Mei belongs to @sundove88
Rebecca belongs to @thehyperrequiem
Trisha Jane belongs to @lovelyteng
Lora Jade belongs to @alex-frostwalker

You Desrve Better (part two)
Part one
Althea built her courage up as she neared Rhys's office. She knew he'd be sad and furious, knew he'd try to stop her from leaving. He was stubborn like that. But if he was stubborn, so was she. She would leave, even if it meant she'd have to leave without his consent.
These past weeks had been a shit show to say the least. Trying to avoid Azriel everywhere she went was hard, and it was taking a toll on her. She had almost locked herself in her room for the whole day countless times now due to the embarrassment of her misunderstanding. But she knew that if she did that, someone would come to get her, and she didn't have the energy to explain things to the busybodies that were the inner circle.
She was so lost in her thinking about what she would say to Rhys to convince him to let her go, she didn't realise she was standing right outside the door to his office. The noise of a glass hitting the floor and breaking pulled Althea from her thoughts about what he would think about her decision, and she finally lifted her hand to knock on the door to Rhysand's office. Everything went silent.
She waited for sometime before knocking again. "Rhysie open up. I know you're in there. If you don't, I'll let myself in, and you'll like that a lot less–"
The door swung open silently before she could finish. She walked in and surveyed the mess created on the floor by the glass that had broken. Sighing, she looked up at Rhysand, taking in his halfway unbuttoned shirt, tousled hair and wildly beating pulse. He was standing in front of his desk, looking like a boy who was caught doing something that his mother had specifically told him not to do.
"Tell whoever you are hiding in here to wait outside, I need to tell you something."
"What could be so important that it couldn't have waited until the morning?" He looked extremely pissed now. "What could be so important that–"
"If you would shut up and let me speak, maybe you'd know. Send them out."
"Tell me now. She isn't going out."
"Rhysand, its either she goes out or I do. And you will definitely not like me leaving this place without telling you."
His brows furrowed before he cleared his throat. "Please wait outside, darling. I'll call you back in.
"The closet behind him opened and out came a beautiful female, with blonde hair and blue eyes. She gave Althea a disgusted look before walking out and closing the door behind her. Althea followed her every move before turning back to Rhysand.
"This better be something good." Rhys said.
"Trust me it is." She folded her arms, taking a deep breath. She put a spell for masking anything they say to prying ears before continuing. "I'm leaving. I would like to travel the continent, then maybe go to Vallahan. I–"
"What? Why?"
"Let me finish speaking Rhys." She jabbed her finger at him. "I won't be coming back unless I wish to. I will be writing letters to you, if you want, that is. Also, I don't want you to send people after me because I can take care of myself. Get it?"
"But why Thea? Is something wrong?"
"Nothing’s wrong Rhys. I just wish to explore the world out of Velaris and Night Court. Is that so bad? Wanting to see the lives that probably are completely different from ours?"
"That is not the only reason, is it?"
She sighed. He knew her too well to accept her dumb excuse. "Rhys. I'm tired. Tired of trying to hide from Azriel and what I felt for him. I need time to process everything that's been going on. Please. I promise I will come back. Someday." She wanted to kick herself for saying the last part, knowing that he had heard it. Any chance she would have had of leaving was now gone.
"Someday? No Thea. I'm not letting you leave. Stay with us. I'm sure we'll figure something out. You just– just wait. You'll forget it. You'll forget him. I'm–"
"Please Rhysie–"
"No. I'm not letting you put your life in jeopardy just because a guy rejected you. We'll get through it together, I swear."
It was inevitable, she knew. Him trying to stop her. And because she didn't want to argue, because they'd be here all night then, and she still had some packing to do, she nodded. He raised his eyebrows and she sighed before nodding again. He held out his arms, and she stepped into them, resting her head on his shoulder. She stayed there a moment longer before stepping back. She gave him a reassuring smile, then turned to leave. Just before she exited the office, she turned back to Rhys.
"You know I love you, right?"
"Of course I do sister. I love you too." She nodded before returning to her room.

Rhys's pov
She lied.
Althea had lied to him.
And he cursed himself for not realising it before. Maybe it was the previous day's tiring events. Maybe it was his lust addled brain and the beautiful female waiting for him. Either way, it didn't excuse him not paying attention to his sister.
He'd been woken up by Nuala, asking him why Althea was standing in the garden with a bag. It took him a moment to understand, but when he did, he jumped out of bed and started pulling on his pants, not caring that Nuala was still in the room. He winnowed right to the front steps of the house, and saw Althea at the gates.
"No." It came out as a broken whisper, his throat closing up as Althea stepped out of the protective bubble surrounding the Town House. He wasn't sure anyone could have heard him, but she did. She turned to him as he tried to make his way to her, stumbling over his own feet.
She had tears streaming down her face. She shook her head, giving him a shaky smile, mouthing the words 'I'm sorry'. Before...
She vanished.
•○🌑○•
She still heard his voice.
The tiny, broken no that made her turn and look at him.
She still remembered the look his face.
The look on Rhys's face as he fell to his knees, opening his mouth to say something to her, before the darkness had consumed her. The hurt. The horror. The realization that she really was leaving. The silver lining his eyes.
It had been ten years, and the memories still haunted her dreams.
She felt guilty and sad for hurting her family, but not regret. Never regret. If she hadn't left that day, she never would have become the person she was today, and she was quite proud of herself.
Althea rubbed her eyes as she got up from her desk, forcing herself to stop thinking of that morning. Finally getting up from her work and wondering what she'd make for dinner after having skipped lunch in favor of reading all the reports sent to her by Rhysand regarding the Illyrian camps, she made her way into the kitchen.
As she prepared a sandwich, the sound of something light dropping on the counter behing her made her turn. A rolled up piece of paper lay there. Rhys had either sent her a new report or a mission. That's how they had been communicating for the past decade. If they wanted to tell each other something, they'd write it down and send it.
For the past year, Althea had settled down in one of the cold mountains of night court, the type where there usually would be Illyrian camps. But this one was secluded enough that there were no camp near her that it they could become a nuisance, but near enough that if she was in danger, she could winnow there easily.
She cleaned her hands before picking the paper up. A new mission. The Skyward Camp, the camp nearest to Velaris, hadn't been sending in the monthly evaluations to the High Lord for the past couple of months. Rhys had tried contacting them by writing to them. Sending people there. But they never came back with any useful information always saying the Lord of the camp sent them away. He wanted her to go there to try and see what was going on, and if they still didn't get any answers, he'd go there himself.
Althea decided she'd leave for Skyward after she finished dinner. She wrote back to Rhys before devouring her sandwiches, packing a bag with the things she'd need and winnowed away.
•○🌑○•
lthea studied the Skyward camp from the forest near it. It was silent. Not in the eerie kind of way, but a peaceful kind of way.
A twig snapped behind her, and immediately her dagger was in her hand as she whipped around. An Illyrian male stepped from the shadows, his wings tucked behind his back.
"Who are you?" The male asked.
"Why should i answer you? Who are you?" Althea retorted.
"Because I asked you a question. And I am the one who looks after the camp when the Lord isn't here."
"Oh. Wait. Are you saying the lord of the camp isnt here?"
"Oh no my dear. I'm not saying that. In fact, he's on his way here. I'm saying that he'll be extremely pissed when he gets here. And so if you don't want to be subjected to his wrath, you should tell me who you are. So, let's do this again. Who are you?"
Before she could say anything, a voice spoke from behind her.
"Tch tch, Kieran. Is that how we speak to our ladies?"
She turned halfway, not wanting to keep her back to the other male, and saw the most beautiful male she ever laid her eyes on.
Dark hair and amber eyes. He gave her a half smile which showed the dimple in his left cheek.
"Hello, sweetheart."
•○🌑○•
(Can you guess who these guys are? Can you tell who this guy with the dimples is?)
Hint: he is from another book series not of sjm

Awkward Teenage Years
I'm sure everyone went through or is going through their teenage years and puberty is not the kindest to everyone. Now, I know everyone in this fandom seems to think the Hawthorne brothers are these sculpture-perfect, flawless, handsome young lads and I'm sure they are. However, everyone also seems to forget when we first meet them, three of them were still teenagers. Yes, towards the end of their adolescence but not that long before they were still in the middle of the awkward phase. So, in honor of those awkward teenage years, here's what was going on with the Hawthorne brothers when they were handling those first few years of hormone imbalance:
Nash: His hair tended to get very greasy back then and so he also used his love of wearing cowboy hats as an excuse to hide his hair. Of course, he had to be sneaky so the teachers didn't tell him off for wearing hats in class. Not to mention, he also had a phase where he had a bad cowlick he just couldn't get rid of.
Grayson: At fourteen, Gray had braces because he had an overbite and he had to wear them till he was fifteen and a half. He rarely liked smiling with his teeth during that time, seeming standoffish to other kids for it and poor guy often accidentally bit the inside of his cheek. His chocolate obsession suffered for a while.
Jameson: This one had a long battle with acne. He often had it sprinkled over his face and even at one point it got so severe that it was also a bad case of "bacne" (back acne). Poor Jamie was miserable so much so that he literally cried (in secret, of course; a Hawthorne don't cry or that's what they tell themselves) and there was a period of time where he couldn't bare to look at himself in the mirror. Thankfully, it started getting better after he was prescribed his third medication (I know, took a while). Now he has the best skincare routine ever and it's not just water.
Xander: As a child, he was smol. He was among the shorter kids and Thea and Rebecca were taller than him by a head, head and a half by fifth grade. At twelve, the turn tables in his favor as he shot up to heights unknown, touching the sky, and breathed the fresher air for the first time as he saw over his classmates with no problem. However, he was all gangly limbs like a newborn foal walking for the first time as Nash often said as he got used to his baby brother towering over him at fourteen. Jameson was slightly jealous because his own growth spurt made him the taller one for a time and he was rubbing it in Gray's face (bragging rights were redacted).
