He’s emailed me for the second time today. Freakin’ piece of shit. Wow.

I’m not sure if you guys remember but I had a guy reach out a few months ago who kept bullshitting about scheduling an appointment. He kept texting unnecessarily, complimenting me and wasting my time so I blocked him.

He finally sent me money for a video chat. He seemed nice and apologized for being a loser. He said he would be following up to schedule an appointment but continued to text me unnecessarily. I warned him again. After the next idiotic text, I blocked him on all of my phone numbers.

Now, he’s been emailing nearly everyday since I blocked him, begging for an appointment. If he acknowledged that he did something wrong, maybe I’d have mercy but he’s completely obtuse. I’m sensing an opportunity to upcharge him but I will continue to ignore until he either disappears or CashApps me on his own.

The Fenarious’ leaders - the Circle of Druids - have always tasked the most experienced Rangers with the mission to keep an eye on the happenings of the world. THE STALKER’s background has always been masked with mystery. He rarely shares his thoughts with anyone and prefers the rugged beauty of the wilds to the bustling noises of cities. He has always been a loyal servant of the Fenarious faith, and nature’s steadfast and deadly protector. The south may have forgotten humanity’s ties to the living world around them but THE STALKER is determined to make sure that the south’s mistakes are not repeated elsewhere.

The signs of an approaching Rifting have always been a worry for THE STALKER. Even in the heart of the forests, where the beasts are ancient and as large as trees, there are signs of a growing sickness in magic, nature and the world itself. He has kept tabs on the signs and frequently reports its growth to the Circle of Druids. After months of indecision, the Fenarious’ leaders believe that the fate of the world lies with the mysterious Wardens, and they must have a trusted voice within this new, powerful faction. 

The thought of living in the southern lands and amongst strangers was not a welcome one to THE STALKER but he has always been dedicated to his mission in protecting the world’s natural forces. If the Wardens are essential to this, then he will tolerate it, and do all he can to make sure they make the right decisions in their fight for the world’s survival.

HEADCANON DETAILS

All Rangers are granted their powers over nature by the Singing Tree - a magical and mysterious tree in the north of Eldris that appears to Rangers in their dreams. They must be loyal to the Fenarius beliefs.

CONNECTIONS

THE DRAGONBORN

When the Fenarious elders instructed THE STALKER to join the Wardens as their representative and emissary, they also instructed THE STALKER to keep a watchful eye on THE DRAGONBORN. They believe THE DRAGONBORN will be the key to using dragons in the approaching Rifting. THE STALKER does not want to partake in any drama and wants to perform his duties as quickly as possible, but THE DRAGONBORN is making that task rather difficult. She views THE STALKER’s guardianship as further proof that she is just an object to their Fenarious leaders and tries to escape his notice whenever possible. Although they are allies and comrades of the same faith, THE STALKER cannot help but feel like a babysitter at times, as the DRAGONBORN is determined to prove her independence and worth. It’s becoming an exhausting mission.

THE SEEKER

There are few Rangers in the world. The Singing Tree only gifts the very few who are worthy in soul and spirit with their powers over nature. Some keep to themselves and protect the dark depths of the wilds, hoping to remain anonymous as they can be treated like royalty in the northern countries, and that can be uncomfortable. THE STALKER is such a Ranger. When THE SEEKER discovered that there were others of her kind in the Wardens, she rejoiced at the thought of not being alone amongst strangers. THE STALKER is not the easiest of men to talk to and know; he thought THE SEEKER was too curious and loud at first, and although he respects her mission to heal the Balance’s sickness, he wonders if she is prepared to bloody her hands to complete such a dangerous task. There is an alliance of sorts between the two Rangers but THE STALKER feels THE SEEKER is perhaps too soft and inexperienced for the harsh future.

THE PROTECTOR

The Arms Guild used to enjoy a strong friendship with the northern countries, especially the strong-willed Crywrenians, but their relationship has become strained in recent years due to the rise of the Holy Light faith and the northerners’ anger at the monarchy. The Guild sent an experienced and powerful warrior - THE PROTECTOR - to frequently visit the northern regions and help inspect their military, defences and outposts. The Fenarious leaders designated THE STALKER as the outlander’s point of contact. THE STALKER was worried that the southerner would be rude or naive to the north’s ancient traditions, but over the years, the two developed a strong friendship and respect for one and another. They are both loyal to their beliefs and faction, and both trained in their classes to help defend their lands. It was a pleasant surprise for THE STALKER to find THE PROTECTOR in the Wardens; at least that was one person he could count on to do their duty properly.
