The 100 rewatch ep. 2x1 the 48

Hello there! Here’s my super long recap/meta live watch,stenographer style:

Open to Clarke sitting in the floor of the creepy white room from the previous ep 1x13, she looks out the window in the door & boom!

Hazmat suit Maya! She’s worried for Monty! Yikes Clarke, that cut!!! She is a beast when she feels threatened I still can’t watch that happen lol now she’s holding maya at shard point. “Who are you people?“Boom first look at the dining hall & all its uneasy glory.

Behold! A wild Bellamy appears! My aesthetic is Bellamy running through the forest with a spear.

Monroe & sterling startle him, but then he’s right back into protect my kids mode. Looking for Finn.

He’s finds him & that other poor kid, as he watches Tristan cut the unnamed kids throat 😕 another mark for Bellamy’s mental list of people’s deaths he feels he should’ve prevented. Yet again proving my point that grounders are vicious. & he did just lose his whole army to these teens.

*sidenote* if Bellamy wouldn’t have saved Finn & he was taken to Lxa I wonder how things would’ve turned out? Finn wouldn’t have lost his mind looking for Clarke & killed the 18 innocents. What would Lxa have done with him? What would he have told her? It’s an interesting thought. But alas We will never know.**

Cut to Octavia & Lincoln. He’s teaching her that very important safe passage line that ends up saving adventure squad in ep 3x14 is it weird to anyone else how Octavia is lecturing Lincoln on his culture that she’s known about for 4 weeks? It seems exposition-y to me. He’s going to save her via beetle.

Cut to grounder coming to pillage the dropship only to be met by Raven & an automatic weapon lol poor girl is all alone in the dropship, how terrifying that must’ve been she was there for like 24hrs like that.

She literally would’ve killed Murphy right on the spot. She is ruthless. I really hope these two have a talk in s4

Back at MW: Enter Dante Wallace with Maya chatting Clarke up. Maya is a bit upset but Dante is trying to make Clarke feel comfortable,Offering her a wardrobe. But she is a survivor so she just takes a heel as a weapon lol

Dante explaining how the mountain sustains its self (the fresh water from an underground reservoir may be something they need to survive in s4)

Explaining how the mountain people never adapted to survive above ground. Why the sky people are even more acclimated than the grounders. (Thinking where this ends up going yikes!) he knows she has the heel lol he has cameras everywhere that is actually really spooky. They don’t live any differently than the ark in terms of the "government power” it’s totalitarian in its ways. The people really don’t have any say in how things are done.

Awwww!! Mom Clarke reunited with her kids! She hugs Monty & Jasper & then right down to business “Finn & Bellamy?” Jasper “they didn’t make it” Clarke: “we don’t know that” she’s already planning to escape & find her boys.

Back to the dropship : Raven coughing up blood, Murphy rushing to her aid. Raven: why are you helping me?“ Murphy: "I don’t wanna die alone” even though this isn’t “good” Murphy yet, I feel for him. He’s so alone, just like Raven. But Raven had been embraced & loved by the 100 & Bellarke while he was hanged, shunned, run out of town as it were. He really just needs love. Bless him.

Cut to the forest: “I know you’re scared,but we are warriors!!” Bellamy giving a short inspirational speech to sterling & Monroe. *sidenote I really miss this side of Bellamy,I hope we see a rekindling of his Aragorn style passion & speeches in s4**

Of course they bail on him here though, Finn tells Bellamy to run, he tries to take Tristan out anyway. He throws his spear with good aim but the warrior just dodges it. Now he pummels Bellamy. My Sweet boy always getting hurt.

*sidenote* I think I understand Bellamy’s irrational behavior with trying to protect Finn, even when Lxa demands him & Bellamy knows Finn is guilty. It’s because in ep 1x13 Finn ran away from safety with Clarke & the dropship to save Bellamy. Bellamy knows this. He is such a loyal person & he will do whatever it takes to repay that debt he feels he owes Finn. Even though we know Finn did it for Clarke, Bellamy doesn’t. After all the harsh words & ways Finn tried to undermine Bellamy in S1 he turns around & saves him. That leaves an impression on Bellamy. He’s still not used to other people looking out for him.**

Cut to Lincoln: he hears Octavia scream, & he’s goes running back, action hero shot!! Slow motion running through water lol (I actually really like this shot)

Octavia says she saw a man. a monster. I’m still waiting for an explanation from the writers on this one. Is it a dropped plot line? a sleeper plot line like Luna? I need answers!!!

Back to MW: Awww Monty & jaspers sweet moment of happiness over pie & cake. But here’s Clarke to be a party crasher with her plan to try & escape. Clarke: “this place is to good to be true” oh hun just wait.

Awww Jasper & Maya’s “meet cute” over the last piece of chocolate cake lol such an old Hollywood trope.

Clarke comes over to chat/actually to steal Maya’s keycard. Clarke running, trying to find her way out. The place is a maze. Another lever to pull. She doesn’t pull it. This time.

Maya isn’t a cupcake either. The girl was ready & willing to drop Clarke right there if it meant saving “her people” she grows in leaps & bounds for the short amount of time that we know her.

Jasper talking her down. Now talking Clarke down. Clarke:“ I don’t believe them” Jasper: “why would they lie?” Oh Jasper you have so much to learn. Sadly. Jasper: because of you we’re safe” Clarke: “not all of us” both of them are crying now. Jasper “I’m the one who fired the rockets, should I not have done that?”

**sidenote** omg! I never thought about this! Jasper thinks he killed Bellamy & Finn!! He’s the one that pushed the button! Also this is why I get mad at him in S3 when he calls Clarke & Monty “mass murders” because going by his own generalization of that he is one too! He & Monty have equal death counts like Bellamy & Clarke & for that matter Kane & Abby.

This trio of duos trying to keep their people alive, by sadly killing others. It’s interesting that jonty is paralleled like Bellarke & Kabby.***

Also Clarke is standing by a round door about to pull a lever that will kill everyone,Jasper is trying to stop her.

In S3 Clarke is in the COL standing outside a round door to pull a lever & resurrect everyone from the COL. Jasper is standing there,trying to stop her. Hmmm.

Cut to the dropship: Raven & Murphy in pain. Raven asking him why he’s an awful human. “Are you gonna cry Murphy?” Man Raven can be stone cold when she doesn’t value you. Murphy telling his sad story about his parents. Bless this charred cinnamon roll. He’s never been given a chance by anyone.

Cut to the forest: Finn trying to help Bellamy stay alive. Monroe & sterling finally decide to stop being scared & help their friends. Monroe chanting “we are warriors” over & over.

*This girl loves & respects Bellamy. This is why she joins him in S3 she trusts him. It’s a powerful thing. He’s proven his care & devotion to all the 100. They have faith in him. I hope we see that come back in S4*

They don’t get to kill Tristan before Kane pops two rounds in his head. Kane “we’re here now” oh boy Kane, they were just fine without you for 4 weeks.

*Abby approaching Bellamy & Finn as Bellamy struggles to stand* Abby: don’t stand" Bellamy “I’m fine, we need to get back to the dropship” bless him, he’s beat all to hell, can barely stand but he’s “fine” because he’s gotta go get those kids.

Abby: “where’s Clarke?” As she literally grabs Finn & pushes him out of the way so she can make eye contact with Bellamy. Its him she’s asking, not Finn. Mama ain’t no fool,she knows who the actual leader is.

Cut to Lincoln & Octavia, she’s succumbing to the poison slowly. He’s worried & picks up the pace.

Back at the dropship: Bellamy: “it’s too quiet” knowing something is wrong yet he immediately lunges forward to rush straight into danger. Reckless!Dad Bellamy. Kane stops him. He’s trying to alpha male one up Bellamy. Instead he gives out orders. Kane is mr bossy pants in S2A

Kabby enters the dropship. Murphy directs Abby to Raven “help her” (there’s the Murphy I come to love later.) Raven breaking the news that she’s doesn’t know where Clarke is. Abby: “what happened to you?” Raven *looks at Murphy knowingly:“I got shot” the twinge of surprise on Murphy’s face when she doesn’t expose him. Priceless.

Bellamy pacing outside man off screen “we need a stretcher” & Bellamy’s about to charge in with Finn. *its interesting how all the reaction shots are Bellamy. When Clarke comes up etc. Finn is not the one the camera wants you to see worried*

they out run the guards & sneak through a fox hole to the dropship. Murphy is being lead out. Murphy: there were 100’s of them, I don’t know what would’ve happened I it wasn’t for Raven" he knows she saved them all,& also he’s wanting to repay her for not ratting him out. He catches Bellamy’s eye & Bellamy sees red. He attacks Murphy. Bellamy: “you murdering son of a bi*ch” Murphy: stop! Bellamy as he’s punching Murphy: “this is for Raven!” *bellamy may not be in love with Raven, but he loves her A LOT*

(I caught that Bellamy said that because I started watching with subtitles. It really helps if you're doing a recap!)

Kane has Bellamy shocked & arrested. *sigh* this Kane I still wanna slap,softly.

Finn tries to defend Bellamy & lists all the awful things Murphy did. & Kanes reply is “you’re not animals” which I find very hypocritical considering these kids were less than animals to the ark. Sent as lab rats to earth. Kane: “there our rules! Laws!” Hahaha S3 Kane has a few things to say to you beardless.

He looks to Bellamy “you are not in charge here anymore” this is where Bellamy imo loses his confidence in himself he’d been building with Clarke’s help. He feels like a failure. He didn’t protect his people. Once again what he loved has slipped right through his fingers.

*sidenote* this scene with Kane is also paralleled in ep 2x16 when Bellamy enters the harvest room & Kane pats his shoulder & says “YOU did good” this is why he grows so attached to Kane, I think. He proved his worth & Kane appreciated it. Acknowledged it.*

Back to MW: Clarke is brought to Dante, he tells her about discovering the grounders. How his father opened the doors to MW resulting in 54 dead. His mother & sister among them. This is probably what spurred Dantes father in the direction that turned them into basically vampires. Before that they were a good society I bet. But they wanted to much. They got greedy.They found a way to get on the ground. He has Clarke led away to her room.

Back to the dropship: Finn: “we’re leaving” Bellamy looking alarmed “this is where they’ll come back” Finn: I don’t think they’re coming back, the grounder took them & you know that" *cue crazy eyes finn* Bellamy looks so sad. Finn:“we get reinforcements, then we find our friends” Bellamy: how many more of us will be dead by then?“ There’s that list of the dead Bellamy keeps in His head Again. Finn: “Abby says Raven needs surgery or she’s gonna die” Bellamy looks over at Raven back to Finn. His pitiful face in this episode man!

Kane yells for Abby to move out, she’s carving a message into the dropship yet again the camera focus cuts from Abby straight to Bellamy as he reads what it says. Abby shoots him a look & they make eye contact as they walk out of the gate. The message: “Clarke please come HOME” with the coordinates. As the song in the back ground says “we are coming home”

Music montage that cuts to the dining hall in MW with Clarke & co. *btw the song is called “home ll” by the band Dotan*

Clarke trying to fit in, she takes her gifted art set & starts making an escape map, because she’s Clarke lol

Cut to Octavia lying on the ground alone.

Then to Bellamy & Finn forest crew walking through the gate of camp Jaha Sinclair & Jackson so happy to see Abby! Sinclair such a sweetie 😢 I will miss him.

Oh yeah! Jaha! Trying to make contact the ground. Thinking he’s gonna die soon. I love how he says “tell Kane & Abby as long as they work together everything will be okay.” Foreshadowing of Kabby & Bellarke tbh Jahas gonna die peacefully….but then! He hears a baby cry…..

The 100 rewatch episode 1x11 "the calm"

Hey there! here's my extra long recap as per usual:) I'd like to point out that Clarke is not above standing guard like everyone else. I forgot how much I like season 1 Clarke before all the "go die for me" bs L teaches her (smh) I love this scene between her & Bellamy. This is them at their best co-leading. Clarke: "maybe the bridge scared them off" Bellamy: you really believe that?" Clarke "no. they're coming" then if you watch Bellamy's face the way he looks at her softly,he feels bad for making her more worried & he immediately tries to lighten her worries by talking about Jasper & Ravens plans to protect them & he makes a bad joke lol (much like his joke in 3.16) & he almost runs into a tree because he's preoccupied with making her smile ☺️ but then it's back to serious talk about protecting themselves against the grounders. Clarke: "I can't believe we survived a 100 years just so we could slaughter each other" this is very much a statement to make considering that's exactly what happens over & over again between the sky people & grounders. Bellamy "any word from the ark?" Clarke's sad pause. At this moment she thinks her mom died thinking Clarke hated her. Also I love this look Bellamy gives her here. He knows this is what she's feeling.and then of course it up to the two of them to keep all the kids safe. No ones coming to the rescue. Cut to the sky: Kane waking up in the dark dying ark alone. It's a great eerie shot. Back to the ground: Octavia trying to help jerk face kid, him just being a worse jerk face but funnily enough Murphy is the one who defends O here. Murphy is more than we give him credit for in season 1. Raven making bullets Finn "is one of those for me?" Don't tempt her boy. Raven is so done with him at this point. Raven "I just want you to be happy" oh my sweet girl. She's to good for him. Oh yeah all the food burns up. I just realized Bellamy does his classic "you okay" here as he guides Octavia away from the smoke. See how much Bellamy's already grown here? He breaks up the fight between Murphy & the stupid kid that caused the fire because he's no longer going by "whatever the hell we want" he tells them to save the fight for the grounders he actually shows really good leadership in this scene. Octavia "now what the hell we gonna do? That was all the food" cue the bellarke leadership talk with their eyes.I love them so much. Bellamy literally just said he believed Murphy, that's new. Clarke says they need to hunt Bellamy's a bit unsure, but he trusts her & knows she's right. This scene with Bellamy is a good example of why all the 100 kids listen to him in seasons 2 & 3 He's telling them no ones going alone, no one stays out after dark etc. this is peak leader Bellamy. Oh this kid I forgot about him (Myles) lol thinks it funny how he's such an obvious plot device in this. Him & Clarke & Finn going hunting. Bellamy sees Raven packing up "where you going?" Raven "the hell outta here" Bellamy "no way, you're not leaving!" Raven tries to make him angry so he'll walk away so she calls him a janitor tells him he can't tell her what to do. But his face just softens at her. "Where ya gonna go?" Bellamy says these words to the ladies in his life a lot,bless him. I actually love this whole scene between him & Raven (I've never shipped them. But I love how he values her so much.) Raven "so what's your plan? Sit here til you run out of bullets?" Bellamy with a small smile "yeah, or until YOU come up with something better" I love Her face after he says that, her eyebrow quirk. She's taken aback by his faith in her. Then he goes on "come on Raven you came down here in a pod you rebuilt yourself, you made a bomb out of a tin can" "what else you got in that head of yours?" He singlehandedly talks Raven out of leaving by telling her she is VALUABLE. Her mind starts working. Raven "Radios, if we can build radios" Bellamy: "then we can fight as a team" "see we need you, you maybe a huge pain in the ass but you're smart" *sidenote* he is literally quoting what Clarke said to him, this boy probably replays the moment from the tree over in his mind all the time. He wants to give to Raven what Clarke gave to him: encouragement, for her to see her Value,Worth,the sense of belonging to the team. And he did. But he also gave Raven the hots for him a bit lol Back to the sky: Kane is still looking for people. He finds Wick! Awww I loved wick so much guys I will forever be bitter about Kyle wicks character potential. *sigh* his humor is this episode is especially on point. This is the beginning of hero dad Kane :) wick just called it a ghost ship & with this lighting it makes me think of ep 3x12 lol Back to the ground : Clarke & Finn & Myles hunting. Finn"we're the ones being hunted" they have been hoodwinked by Anya & Co. Back to the sky: Kane & Wick looking for survivors. Wick "the air is a message,okayyy" lol Kane is really quite the man of faith in his own right. Back to the ground: Finn & Clarke tied up in the cave. Anya "help her, if she dies, he dies" pointing to Finn. Yikes. Back to the sky: Wick being sassy. Kane in hero mode. Jaha! He's alive lol Jaha "Kane! I knew you were to stubborn to die" Kane "I could say the same for you" aww I kinda miss the friendship Kane & Jaha have in season one. Jaha trying to sacrifice himself attempt #1 of 5000. Kane as well. Wick trying to get Kane to come with them "so what you're gonna save everybody but yourself?" Kane "no one else can die because of me" (parallelI: this is also very Clarke ep 3x12) wick & the gang decide teamwork is the best. Back to the ground: Anya telling Clarke to heal the girl "her name is tris" Clarke "what happened to her?" Anya "she was on the bridge when your bomb exploded" it's weird how small scale this seems considering the body counts coming in the near future. Raven & Monty! I forgot they interacted this much in season 1. Awww Monty wants to keep the radio to the ark intact because his family is up there (thinking about season 3 😭 now) Raven looking for Finn Murphy being a brat & bringing up Clarke & him leaving together. "What are you doing in here?" Bellamy upon seeing Raven standing in his tent lol Raven "they don't waste time I give them that, what's it been a day & a half?" Bellamy averts his gaze from her & kinda has this hurt look on his face then he looks back at her with a harder look "time to move on" *sidenote* to me I believe he is telling himself this as much as he's telling Raven. He's grown attached to Clarke but now he figures he doesn't have a shot with her. *Raven starts to strip* Bellamy "what are you doing?" Raven "moving on" lol awww Finns the only one she's ever been with. Sweetie. Raven: "take off your clothes" Bellamy has a very serious look his face here like "girl don't do it" *sidenote* I would like to point out that after Raven takes off her top. Bellamy does not look below here face, and when he looks down for a moment he closes his eyes,He is sooo freaking respectful of women OKAY. (Back to headcanon about his mom & how he views sex,women etc) him giving his speech "if you're looking for someone to talk you down, tell you your upset & not thinking straight, I'm not that guy" I love that he basically is that guy by saying that lol but at the same time he's saying he believes she can make up her own dang mind. He doesn't want to suggest that she's so emotionally weak that she's just doing it because she's upset. And they kiss, this is actually the only time we see "sexy time Bellamy" lol with Gina it was way more domestic. Petition for more sexy time Bellamy 2017 (with Clarke of course) Cut to Clarke & Finn trying to save tris. It's not going well. Back to the sky: Kane in hero made giving everyone oxygen. Kane quoting jahas line back to him about "knowing when not to follow the law" something Kane still holds to dearly to this day. Back to the ground: Clarke & Finn still trying to save tris. Man I miss Anya so much! She was such a good character she had so much potential! I would've preferred her to L a 1000% *sigh* this is the first we learn about how young they train their warriors. We actually get quite a bit of grounder backstory for the amount of time we have this ep. Oh Raven & Bellamy, they both look so mad at themselves & this is literally like 1 second afterwards. Bless their hearts. Bellamy " did that help?" Raven "No." I honestly believe Bellamy gets comfort from touch, he very tactile. I think he was sad she got up so fast lol he probably would've snuggled just because. Back to the sky: Kane " I estimate no more than 1000 survivors, at least 1500 dead" damn. Think about that, there's probably at this point only about 600 arkers that make it to the ground, then who knows how many died on the ground even before ALIE. Back to the ground: Tris is dead. Anya takes Finn. (Is that grounder with Finn Lincoln already? Or was there a switch made? lol that always confuses me) I will say Eliza has grown in her crying abilities. Raven apologizing to Monty. Sweeties. Back to the sky: Hero Kane crawling through the air vents. *side note* this episode I'm realizing very much that Kane & Bellamy's redemptions for their season 1 behavior are paralleled this ep feels a lot like the Bellamy mount weather episodes in season 2 but Kane in the ark vents instead. Awwww he's so happy he found Abby :) this is very much the Kabby equivalent to the Bellarke cave scene. I always feel a little squicky at this part, this is cold survivor Clarke. This grounder was actually a pretty chill guy, but she zones in on his weaknesses & then boom stab & run Clarke! Core squad out looking for Clarke & Finn Bellamy yelling at Monty all dad like. Monty sees something (montain men!) Bellamy trying to comfort Raven about Finn.he sounds so soft when he's trying to comfort people. Bellamy "Monty where the hell are you?" Everyone's worried about Monty. He's like the family favorite. Clarke is still running & boom! Snatched up by a snare! Well as usual this was if you made it to the end thanks so much for reading!
