The 100 rewatch ep 2.7 "long into the abyss"

Hey guys! Sorry I'm a few days late! I only got to do half the ep Thursday & my weekend was crazy busy! Without further ado my messy ramble of a liveblog/ meta 😁 We open to a pretty blonde waking in a field of flowers, but this is the 100 so of course she melts from radiation. (She was the girl that gave the 47 their "tour" of MW, a thankless job apparently.) Dr Tsing is seriously so evil. & Cage is no better. He protests a little. Dr Tsing: " I call that sacrifice for the greater good" Ahhh & there it is...so self righteous. Especially when it's not her "sacrifice" & boom credits. Camp Jaha: Abby is not happy with what Jaha is saying. She doesn't want to run. She's worried about Kane. It's a mess. Lol I love how Byrne is like you aren't the chancellor buddy. Abby trying to calm the people. Bless their hearts they just fell from the sky like 3 days ago & now they're having to risk their lives just to survive again. This is when I started really hating jaha lol he's such a negative Nancy. Cut to Clarke processing the speeches & outta nowhere Bellamy grabs her arm 😊 Clarke to Bellamy: "where have you been?" Awww your wife has been worried Bell ☺️ Finn is finally feeling bad for what he's done. Cut to the dropship: Clarke being stunned by seeing reaper Lincoln. Bellamy coming up behind her & reassuring her :"it's okay! It's okay he's been restrained" awww he's so sweet & caring in this ep (from 2.5-2.9 Bellamy is at his softest with Clarke & it makes me feel things guys 😭) Octavia: "can you help him?" Clarke "I knew Mount weather controlled the reapers, I didn't know they created them." Bellamy: " if they can do this to Lincoln. What are they doing to our friends?" What a realization. That's like the ultimate evil a society can do. Experiment on people. Hold one people's well being in higher regard then another's. It's chilling that MW is so cold & calculating. Cut to MW: The 47 are tired of donating blood & being "human pincushions" I love Jaspers line :we're criminals right? So let's be criminals" lol it's one of the few moments when we get reminded these kids had it rough & we're on their own long before they came to earth. Cut to the dropship: Clarke & the Blake's are assessing Lincoln's "damage" Octavia tells her she shot him. Bellamy: "he's lost a lot of blood, Clarke" Bellamy does care a lot for Lincoln Season 3 can go jump off a cliff for what it did to the Lincoln/Bellamy friendship. *sigh* moving on Clarke approaches Lincoln cautiously, he's growling at her, attempting to bite. But she stand her ground. Clarke inspecting his neck :"needle marks" Bellamy:" you think he's being drugged?" Clarke tries to reply but is interrupted by Lincoln pulling one arm free of his restraints & he grabs her by the hair attacking her viciously. Octavia yells at him to stop & goes to grab Clarke. Bellamy jumps I. & starts wailing on Lincoln but Lincoln overpowers him Bellamy goes for the shock baton but Lincoln frees his legs! He throws Bellamy like a rag doll & tries to choke him (Bellamy must have nightmares of being choked) Clarke a'la "day trip" tries to stop Lincoln yelling "No! Stop!" As she attempts to run at him, being knock to the side like a feather. Bless her. But aggressive ass Octavia loves her brother just as much as Lincoln (try & tell me otherwise,I dare you) & she goes in with a metal pipe & will of iron & knocks lincoln out cold. Despite her major flaws, Octavia is someone you want in a fight. At this point shes still very new in her "fight training" but boy she gives her all when she believes in what or who she's protecting. Very much like her brother. I think the Blake's alone, armed only with their protective rage could take out an army. Cut to camp Jaha: Abby is instructing dad Miller to have everyone packed up. He's pissed because the man want to save his son. (I love his love for his son) Abby's like nope sorry! & me miller reminds her again of her privilege. "Abby you got your kid back. Don't make me abandon mine" ouch. Abby does tend to think a little "elite" sometimes. Cut to MW: Dr sing informs Cage that using the kids blood isn't working fast enough. & like a villain states that their bone marrow will have all of the MW people living on the ground within a month. The "sacrifice"? All 47 will die as a result of giving 8 people the ability to live above ground. Another twist on the "sacrifice the few to save the many" trope. It's so unsettling. Back to the dropship They've successfully tied Lincoln down. He spits the water that Octavia tries to give him..& she's about to crack. She says she'll go get some more. Bellamy tries to reassure her "once the drugs are out of his system he'll be okay" & she responds with "you can't protect me from this one big brother" this is one of the few times she acknowledges his care for her...& even though she says it mockingly I think you can see the appreciation for him in her face as well. Outside Octavia gets surprised by Nyko. He's trying to save her, warning her that the commander is coming to kill them all if they don't leave. She tells him about Lincoln. Back inside the dropship,Bellamy:"your mom would be proud" Clarke: "my mom would know how to save him" Octavia brings in Nyko & Bellamy goes for his gun not trusting him Octavia: "don't! He's Lincoln's friend!" So he lets Nyko close to examine Lincoln. He pulls out a "medicine" & is about to drop it into Lincoln's mouth when the ever astute Clarke: "wait!" & she literally puts her hand out & catches it, knowing its poison. Nyko pulls a knife on Her & Bellamy barks "Back off! Right now" *Sidenote* Bellamy from 2.5 all through the rest of S2 is so ridiculously supportive of Clarke guys.He's like a guard dog (I'm not saying that to be derogatory btw) but like he is literally her strength throughout the Finn fiasco. He encourages her & champions her all through this season. & honestly he gets nothing in return from her (she's not at a place to give it) but friends I think she will be in S4, when it comes to O, watch Clarke support the socks (among other things) right off of him. Season 2 Bellamy is so pure guys & Clarke knows it. She trusts him long before she tells him she does with words.** Back to the scene: Clarke tells the Blake's that Nyko is trying to kill Lincoln to put him out of his misery. Then Finn appears & Nyko (rightfully) loses his cool & starts choking him. O prevents Bellamy from shooting Nyko but Clarke intervenes with a shock baton & Nyko is down for the count. Lincoln stops breathing. Clarke gives him CPR & Nyko is in awe. Giving Clarke an idea of how to save Finn & her people. Finn says "Lincoln will never be the same" & you can tell he's referring to himself as well. I'm glad Finn is realizing the awful thing he's done. But dang! It took him way to long & it's a "too little, to late" moment for me. Cut to MW: Jasper Monty & crew sneak into Dantes office & Jasper sends Harper to watch the hall (dun,dun,dun) Back to camp Jaha: Abby & the sky people are gearing up to leave & Clarke rushes in saying wait & tells them her idea. Abby skeptical, but interested. Jaha is very adamantly NO! About it Jaha: "Abby we have an out, a way to save our people" Abby: "I'm sorry I can't give the order to leave" then Jaha says he's actually the "elected" chancellor & demands she give the evacuation order.she refuses. *sidenote*This very tense moment between them I think is Abby getting her redemption for Not fighting for Jake via proxy. She is saving her "people" this time. Jaha will not take them from her. This is also where Jaha loses what little chill he had & starts down the "super crazy Jaha" storyline. He tries to scare Byrne & Millet into submission but they are like nope! & arrest Jaha instead. He is truly angry & confused & tells Abby "you would just throw this all away?" & Abby says "I have faith in my daughter" boom. Her redemption for not having faith in Jake over Jaha has now been fulfilled by her faith in Clarke.** Cut to MW: Monty & Miller are being hacker & sleuth respectively. Jasper sees the sword in Dantes office & picks it up then we see him standing with crossed arms next to a painting of JFK in the same pose. *sidenote* I think both of these things were purposeful for Jaspers arc. He "wields the sword" (& he does use it later to threaten Dante) it fits his character journey (listen to the last ep of meta station for this Jasper journey in depth) But he has a romanticized fantasy of being "the hero" who is rewarded with the love of a pretty girl (S1=Octavia S2=Maya) & then he is juxtaposed next to JFK another "dreamer/visionary that ended in tragedy.** Monty hacked in to camera footage & Miller found maps of MW. They are on a roll. Cut to camp Jaha: Clarke meets Gustus for the first time. & here we go guys a scene that now unfortunately leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Clarke & Lxa meet (& Clarke & Indra) both Lxa & Indra are hostile bit professional & Clarke talks about Anya & makes a offer to Lxa about turning reapers back into normal men. Indra is outraged. Lxa is intrigued. Lxa tells Clarke to show her Lincoln. This is gonna go so well right? Lol Back to MW: Cage brings Dante outside to entice him/ convince him that they need the 47's bone marrow so they can take their "rightful place" on the ground. Dante of course longs for the surface. His "true home" cage tells him the ugly truth. That the 47 would all die. Dante doesn't believe that it's the right way. & says no. Cage now knows what he must do. Back to the dropship: Abby arrives to try & save Lincoln with medical assistance. Lincoln starts convulsing after you gives him an injection. & his heart stops. Clarke Lxa & crew arrive to see Lincoln just in time for Abby to pronounce him dead. Octavia begins sobbing as Bellamy looking helpless tries to comfort her. Finn & Abby look worried. Clarke & Lxa enter & see that he's died. Clarke & Bellamy look at each other & do that silent married eye communication that they do. & Bellamy slowly goes for his gun, thinking he's gonna have to kill them all & at the same moment the grounder arm themselves. It's a standoff. Then Abby being the person she is used her one last hopeful thought & uses a shock baton as a improvised defibrillator (it's a tv show guys.let them have this lol) & it works! He is revived before Lxa's s eyes & they are left speechless. Even Indra looks like she saw a miracle (which I guess for then that's what this is) Cut to MW: Monty & Miller talking about lock up, Bonding. Jasper comes with bad news. No one has seen Harper. Yikes. Cut Dr. Tsing with Harper strapped to a table. & then drilling her. Like an animal. Lovely people. Dante is looking longingly at his flower,no doubt weighing the cost of freedom. Can he be this monster for his people? Another theme this show uses a lot. Cut to camp: Lxa is impressed with Clarke & the sky people's medical knowledge. She will give them the truce they ask for on one condition: Lxa: "deliver me the one they call Finn. Our truce begins with his death" Clarke looks horrified to stunned to speak. As her face freezes & her eyes fill with tears. & boom! Smash to black! *sidenote* I would like to point out that there is almost a play by play parallel to this scene with Clarke being in shock because of threats to the boy she loves. The 100 rewatch: ep 2.6 "Fog of war"

Hey guys! I'm alive!!! Hahahaha I'm still behind on these & will try to catch up soon! Enjoy my ramble below: Ep 2.6 : "Fog of war" We open to screen text that reads "two days later" (as in since Finn massacred ) We pan around A dark & tense Arkadia & boom a bellarke drink date/war planning in underway ☺️ Clarke has painstakingly drawn a map of mount weather & is showing Bellamy the lay of the land. Bellamy: " I swear to God, if your mom doesn't sanction a mission soon, I'm going by myself" Clarke: "you won't be by yourself" (since I know what happens in ep 9, queue the pain) Bellamy's look here, it's like he almost smiles a bit, he's so glad to hear her say this...it even looks like he's about to reply but then he sees her staring behind him at Finn....he looks back to her eyes full of concern & asks : "how's Finn doing anyway?" Clarke replies: "I haven't talked to him since we got back. he just kept shooting" Bellamy: we're at war Clarke,we've all done things" *I just really want to applaud Bellamy here, he could've talked Finn down to Clarke, like Finn always did about him to her,but he didn't. He defended him. Not his actions, but Finn as a person & friend. Finn approaches them and looks a bit annoyed. Bellamy: "hey" Finn: "hey" then Finn just stares at Clarke (who won't make eye contact with him) so Bellamy, with awkward sensors to rival Jim Halpert from "the office" takes a look around & grabs his & Clarke's cups & leaves saying "the next round is on me" lol aka "I'm getting tf outta here" Poor Clarke she doesn't want to be mean but she honestly doesn't know how to deal with Finn. He's of course wanting in on the plan, as always he wants "in with Clarke" the way Bellamy is & he doesn't get why she's not letting him in her "circle" As he's asking about the MW map Murphy approaches & says :" so they salvaged Monty's still from the dropship" "now I guess if they could just salvage Monty, huh? he chuckles. Clarke looks at him with disdain & he replies "easy, just a joke" & tells Clarke that he & Finn were pardoned. She actually looks disappointed at this & Finn looks at her like a wounded puppy & says "we did what we had to do" but she doesn't say anything. So Finn leaves abruptly. *sidenote* it's funny that Clarke only ever has total forgiveness ready for Bellamy. She doesn't have it for Finn or later Lxa until moments before they both die. But she doesn't even have to "forgive" Bellamy...because she never holds anything against him! The grounder army? Nope. The arrest? Nope. Tell be again about how Clarke isn't in love with Bellamy? Ha. Moving on** Clarke tells Murphy "just because they pardoned you, doesn't mean I have" ouch. She seems to try & hold him responsible for Finns actions, which isn't fair. Then Raven comes up & sends Murphy away with a "beat it Murphy" (I really wanna see Murphy properly reconcile & reconnect with the delinquents in S4) Raven informs Clarke that she's found that MW is jamming all of the sky people's signals. So they can't find other stations & that MW crashed the exodus ship. But their plan to go take out the tower is interrupted by Abby & Byrne (dang you Byrne!) but Abby decides to listen to Clarke instead of Byrne. Yay Abby! Omg guys we are just now at the credits! This is gonna be such a long post 🙈 Mount weather: Dr. Tsing is showing Dante how awesome Maya is doing. She wants him to start using the other 47 & Dante says "No" He's trying to be the good guy. But Cage is done with waiting patiently for the ground.Dante says: "if I give the order to harvest those kids, I won't deserve to see the ground again" it calls back to what Abby says in S1. But Cage tells Tsing "we'll have to do it anyway" he's already committed to being who he needs to be to survive. Cut to the forest: Octavia : "I can't believe they let Finn come" Bellamy: "he's the best tracker we've got" (then he immediately shouts: "don't forget to look up. The grounders use the trees. Proving that he's actually just as good at it as Finn lol) & Abby knows it, as she tells Clarke :"you were right to have me bring them" & Clarke gives a little proud smile & says "don't worry, your guards will get there" Bellamy parallels this with Pike in S3 when he gives his proud little smile about Clarke being a good earth skills student :) Cut to polis dungeon: Kane is trying to get his leg shackle off. The guards enter & starting Beaton on Jaha as Kane yells "stop! We came in peace.please!" Then from the side enters a demure water girl (*sigh* we know who) Gustus says "blood must have blood" & says one of you will die today by the others hand & throws a knife down between he & Jaha. He tells water girl to fetch him when it's done. Jaha: "they want us to turn on each other" Water girl : "they want justice" Kane: "lives have been lost on both sides & that's why we need to end this war!!" Kane is so logical about things that this proposal infuriates him because it accomplishes nothing. Jaha goes over to the water girl & asks her name "Iexa" she says. (At this point on my first watch I was very curious about her) She explains Finns massacre & of course they know nothing of who did it or why. So Jaha asks what will happen if they refuse to kill each other. Iexa replies "the commander will use the knife & slit both your throats" (& now that we know who she really is, this scene shows that she was willing to kill them with little to no evidence) anyways... Back to the forest: Clarke & crew are looking for the radio tower. But the guards can't find the Blakes! & Abby knows it's Clarke's doing. Clarke "they went to find a way in" Abby is exasperated at this point & sends guards to find the Blake sibs. Finn:" I'm going with them" Clarke & Raven both tell him to stop. & he's upset because Clarke can't look at him & no one trusts him with a gun. He storms off & Clarke follows after him. She's trying to appease him when dun dun dun acid fog is back! Finn:"run!" Clarke radios everyone to take cover & she & Finn run for the bunker. Bellamy is telling Octavia what they're looking for to find unergrou do access to MW. But the guards catch up to them guard: "hey,Blake!" I love the Blake's twin expressions of exasperation here lol Guard: "let's go right now" Bellamy: "we're not under your command" Guard: "don't make us do this the hard way" Bellamy: "your out here to find other ark stations, we're out here to find our friends" Before they get to heated Octavia notices the bugs running from the fog & they all run & try to setup their tents. Octavia finds a bunker entrance door & her & Bellamy get it opened & summon the guards to take cover just in time, except for one. The forest: Clarke & Finn make it to the bunker & lock in. The tents: Abby & Raven are riding out the fog together while Raven tries to crack the radio encryption & Abby worries for Clarke. I love how Raven isn't worried about her she just says "they'll find shelter" she has faith in Clarke & the Blakes just like they have faith in her. The garage: Blake & Co. Are in a garage & Bellamy is ready to yell at the guard again but instead of trying to stop Bellamy now, he gives him a gun. Bellamy a way about him that makes people trust him rather quickly. (Besides Clarke & Kane honestly everyone almost instantly trusts him.) Back to the bunker: Clarke & Finn settle in awkwardly.... Finn: "first you can't look at me, and now you're looking at me like I'm the enemy" Clarke: "I'm not looking at you like that" Finn: "well you don't look at me the way you used too" *sidenote* sigh... Finn, Finn Finn...he's just such a self centered person. "You look at ME like I'm the enemy" "you don't look at ME like you used too" it's honestly like the only reason he has any remorse is because Clarke is upset with him! I think if she would've been all like "Finn! My hero!" After he "found her" that he would've never shown one ounce of guilt or remorse. Sorry this is my Finn rant of the night** Finn gives Clarke her dads watch & she's happy to have it back but man she can't handle all this & her eyes well up with tears. Bless her sweet heart. Back to MW: Jasper is trying to get the other 46 to volunteer their blood/marrow he's not getting far lol miller like "nope. I'm out" & Monty Has had enough. Monty: "when did you start working for them?" "Never mind now that you're better, we're going after Clarke" Monty is the most diehard Clarke & Bellamy Stan on this show guys lol But he is interrupted by Maya who comes in a little too "cheery!" And she has a note that says "act normal, they're listening" & "the breach wasn't an accident" yikes. They follow her into a closet & she tells Jasper the truth. She sends them to the air vent to peek through & see all the grounders in cages. Monty says "why are you showing us this?" To which Maya replies "because I'm afraid you're next" Jasper is freaking out that everyone knows about this. Maya: " without the treatments, we'll die. What are we supposed to do?" Monty: "die" ouch. Monty is always the truth teller. He's usually optimistic but he doesn't sugarcoat things. Jasper says they need to volunteer to buy themselves time. Back to the tents: Raven cracks the radio code & can hear the MW guards clearly. They now know the fog is a weapon from the mountain. Abby instructs her guards to build the bomb to take out the radio tower. Raven has a different idea. Raven suggest keeping the tower up so they can listen in on the enemy. Rather then try & make contact with other ark stations. It's a togih call. Back to the garage: The sky guards are looking around the old cars. They find the spooky xmas music box & then get attacked by reapers! The Blake's hear the screams & come to investigate. Bellamy grabs a bigger gun that the guard dropped & takes out two reapers. The third one is found eating a guard &...it's Lincoln! He starts to attack O, then Bellamy. Octavia shoots him! (Ahh the glory days of Blake sibling love) she aims to wound & when Lincoln turns to attack her Bellamy hits him with the butt of his rifle knocking him out cold. Back to the polis dungeon: Jaha thinks there's gotta be a better way. Jaha: "these people are primitive" he's arrogant & has a "we're above them mentality" which I think Lxa could see clearly. But Kane is different he respects "their ways" & traditions. He says :" they told us how we could get peace" :"through sacrifice" he then decides what needs to be done: "you have to kill me" He's willing to end his life for peace. That's the sign of a good leader. Jaha: "Kane,no" Kane is still reeling with guilt from the culling. He then cuts his own wrist. Jaha jumps at him & holds his wound closed. Asking Lxa for a rag to bandage him. Jaha:"I told you we didn't come all this way to die" then he grabs Lxa & holds the knife to her throat saying: "I choose to live" *sidenote* he & Kane have very opposite reactions to this test. Kane's is my life is not worth more than the survival of my people. Take it. (Very Bellamy Blake) Jaha's is My life matters more than my people & have important things I must do! (Very Finn & later Lxa of him)** Back to the garage: Octavia is understandably freaking out that Lincoln is a reaper. She & Bellamy are hiding in a car. Bellamy whispers "we'll get him back, I promise" *thinks of s3 cries forever* Back to the polis dungeon: Gustus & Co. Are back & not happy about Jaha having Lxa captive. Kane: Jaha,please. She's just an innocent girl" (hahahahaha) Lxa: "he's made his choice. This one is mine" & boom she pins him to the ground with her knife. And reveals she is the commander. (This is my favorite Lxa scene. And honestly the only episode I like her in. Ever.) she's cunning. Back to the garage: The Blake's set a trap to capture Lincoln. They shock lash him. Octavia: "now what?" Bellamy: "we take him home" **I love how Bellamy needs to have a place to call "home" & he protects & cherishes it. I really hope he gets to settle in one day & really have "home".w with Clarke of course :)** Back to the bunker: Finn: "the fog is cleared" But Clarke is just staring at the grounds that he murdered & she's says to him "they were unarmed" & "I don't even know who you are anymore" Finn: "neither do I" Clarke : "what have we become?" Yikes. That's such a powerful statement & sums up how most characters on the 100 feel most of the time. Back to MW: Monty & Harper are both hooked up to "donate" Dante enters to say "thanks" to Jasper. Jasper amuses him, but he's not fooled anymore by the "shiny" man. Dr Tsing is not happy. She's a brat. She leaves the Wallace'sto chat alone. Dante manhandles Cage & says "do you think I'm stupid?" " tell me you weren't behind the breach" & basically threatens him with either jail or death not sure which lol of course Cage lies & says he wasn't. *sigh* Jasper turns up the radio in their dorm so they can talk about Clarke & stalling to give her time to get there. Back to the forest: Clarke & Finn reunite with Raven & Abby the first thing Clarke asks? "Where's Bellamy & Octavia" hahaha :) Raven approaches Finn. Finn to Raven: "I'm sorry" Raven:"we all have battle scars, Finn.suck it up & build a brace for yours" I love how unaffected Raven is by Finn now. She's made her peace with him. His apology has no weight for her. But she's not angry at him anymore either. She's just...done. & then a wild Jaha appears! & Abby catches him & just stares in disbelief. Jaha: "I have a message from the commander: "leave or die" boom end scene. Phew this was a waaaaay longer recap/ramble them I intended! The 100 rewatch: episode 2x5 human trials

I'm a day late again guys! But here we go: Camp Jaha: We open to Clarke being dragged in & yelled at by Byrne & her guards, but gasp! Abby recognizes her! "She's not a prisoner, she's my daughter!" And Abby finally gets to hold her daughter in her arms! Abby playing both doctor & mom. Byrne being her annoying self, asking Clarke questions about grounders & mountain men. Abby shushing her. Clarke immediately asks if any of the rest of the 100 made it. Abby: "yes. Six of you did" Clarke: "Finn & Bellamy?" Abby nodding her head yes. Clarke crying "I thought they were dead.I thought you were dead" (notice she mentions the two that have had the biggest impact on her, she doesn't ask about Raven, sterling etc.) she continues crying into her moms arms, this is such a good scene for them. Cut to MW: Dante has called Jasper into his office to tell him Clarke "ran away" of course Dante puts a spin on it to make seems like she abandoned them. Dante offering Jasper to go look for her himself. telling Jasper "this is your home now" painting himself the good guy. Cut to the forest: Kane taking a moment to plant the tree for his mom, reciting the end of the travelers blessing😭 now he gives water to the captured grounder. He knows the grounder knows more then he acts like he does. Kane is a smart cookie. Back to camp: Clarke wakes up, sees her mom, finds out she's now the chancellor...& she seems a little judgy in her tone to Abby? Maybe left over bitterness about her dad? Or the idea of her mom being in charge? Idk lol but she doesn't seem thrilled. Clarke getting up: "mom, we need to move against mount weather" "where are Finn & Bellamy?" Yet again the only two people she's thinking of...😏 Clarke : "I don't need to rest,I'm fine" Abby is about to go into helicopter mom mode when Byrne enters "Ma'am, movement in the north woods" Abby: grounders?" Byrne "I don't think so" (we know WHO it is) Clarke exits the tent & finds Raven waiting for her. Raven: "I've been waiting out here all night,Abby said you needed sleep" how precious Is Raven though? She waited all night to see her friend was okay. They hug, (look at this hug then look at the one that happens in 60 seconds) Clarke sees Ravens leg but Raven being Raven is like: it sucks, but I can deal. She is seriously such an amazing character. *offscreen guard yells :open the gates!" They turn to see who it is...Clarke *a little breathless* : "Bellamy" *as Bellamy enters with his arm & his jacket around Mel* (omg Mellamy. We could've had a better season 3 guys.) Raven seeing the "no chill Griffin" in all her glory tells her : "go. I'll catch up." Bless her lil heart. And Clarke starts walking towards the gate. Abby seein Mel : "I know you. Factory station,where are the others?" Mel: there are no others" (man I really needed more Mel guys) Bellamy :"we found her a day from here. No survivors. Lots of supplies" *sidenote* this boy,people who say he's not "leader material"don't have eyes. He knows what to prioritize & when 90% of the time** Abby: "get her to medical" also watch how Bellamy guides monroe so gently with his arm like "go on sweetie, you too" bless his earth dad heart. And right as he does that we hear a *swell* in the music score & the focus tightens in on the Blake's (I'M NEVER ready guys) then the camera pans with an out of focus profile of Bellamy's face, & from his left Barrels one Clarke "extra" Griffin she has broken into a run, not being able to contain her joy & relief of seeing him alive, & she LAUNCHES herself into his arms!! Ahhhh!!!! (Notice the guys behind her pointing & the guy to the right doing a double take as she races by) The music continues to swell as she locks her arms around his neck & just buries her face into his exposed skin on his shoulder,probably to feel the warmth of him. His absolute astonishment & confusion he has is just so perfect. So innocent. So pure. Then it finally registers that it's Clarke & she's not dead & she's hugging him like he's her favorite person on earth & he finally reacts to this love he's getting & locks his arms around her soooo tight!! & he just rocks her back & forth. She presses her lips to his skin, smiling so big!! He looks so relieved, so at peace. Octavia: "now,there's something I thought I'd never see" **sidenote** I think in this scene Octavia is saying the last thing she ever thought she'd see is Clarke & Bellamy loving & caring for each other (platonic or otherwise) she can't believe her brother is being open with his affection, he's rarely open with her about it. For him to be like this in broad daylight, in front of a crowd. It's a first for Octavia. & I love how happy she seems in this moment. Her face looks like she knows a secret lol the secret "my brother is falling in love" then right after she says that he lets out the cute little huff, is it relief? Is he exasperated that O is calling him out on his public affection? Lol is he thinking about how he said he'd cut off her hand & now here the big dope is threading his fingers through her hair?** Then they break the hug & just stare in awe at each other. Finally they speak Clarke: "where's Finn?" Raven catching up & perking up at the sound o Finns name. Bellamy responding with a grim look that says "why didn't I do better" as he says "Looking for you" Cut to Finn & Murphy, counting the people In the village,Apparently Murphy is better at math lol Murphy: "these people don't look like warriors Finn" (this episode is where you start to see the "reforming" Murphy) Finn being a little crazy saying we'll wait & surprise them at dark. Murphy replying: "I liked you better as the peacemaker" in this moment Finn has completed his fall from "peacemaker" to "loose canon" it's appropriate that Murphy states this since he's like the "Murphy's law" rep. "What can go wrong, will." Finn has full circled his arc. It's just not heroic. Back to MW: Just a brief scene of Cage turning Lincoln into a reaper via "red" serum. Back to camp: Byrne,Abby,Sinclair etc having a meeting about MW, finding Kane etc. Abby deciding not to go after Finn & Murphy, Clarke & Bellamy are not okay with this decision. Abby *weakly* "I'm sorry, the decisions been made" she turns to go & Bellamy decides he's had enough: "you're sorry?!" "Finn & Murphy are out there looking for your daughter with guns you gave us" (this is like the most interaction Abby & Bellamy have until the S3 finale, I need them to interact more) I love the look Clarke gives Abby here like "you thought you were done" lol it's similar to the face she gives roan in ep 3.15 when Bellamy steps in to protect her & the flame. Bellamy & Clarke say they'll go find them themselves. Abby "no! I just got you back" Abby telling Byrne "no one leaves camp" After Abby leaves the room Clarke walking up to Bellamy: "we're gonna need guns" lol I hope we get this line again in s4 cut to Raven,Bellamy, & Clarke at the fence Raven: "I scored you extra clips" lol she's the character that always "knows a guy" lol They are sneaking out, Apparently Clarke was looking for Octavia, but she pops up on her own Octavia: "I'm not letting you leave here without me. Finn & Murphy are headed to Lincoln's village, I've been there have you? *she continues to talk* Bellamy exasperated : "you done?" & he hands her her pack saying "lead the way" But Raven stops Octavia with one of my favorite lines: "not so fast Pocahontas" 😂 pure gold. Raven has wick shut down the electric fence so they can escape. & off they go. Back to MW: Jasper to Monty : "Clarke left us" Monty:" we need to go after her" *Maya enters the room & you can tell Monty's thinking "this is why you don't wanna leave Jasper" & he starts to pack to go find Clarke. Jasper says they aren't going to which loyal loving Monty replies : "what would Clarke do?" Jasper knows he's right & is telling Maya he's gonna join Monty right when she starts melting! Maya: "there's a Containment breach!" & Jasper & Monty become frantic trying to get the doors open to help their new friend. Maya is blistered & the standard treatment isn't working (yeah sure. Dr. Tsing you snake) of course they could "try" using Jaspers blood to see if it would cure her better. I wonder if Jasper would've said no how different things would be. But Jasper & sweet & caring & would donate blood to a stranger let alone someone he cares for. Cut to the woods: Bellamy being the guard around the fire while the two people he loves most in the world sleep at his feet. (Look at the framing of this whole scene please) He looks at O asleep, you can tell he's in deep thought & he tentatively looks down at Clarke sleeping. But he doesn't look away...he just keeps looking at her. She stirs, looks up & gives him a small smile, then he finally looks away from her. Bellamy : "last time I saw you, you were closing the dropship door, it had to be done" *sidenote* So this means while he was literally trying not to die, fighting a grounder no less, he checked to see that she got in & locked the dropship up. To see she was safe with their kids. Even when he knew what she was about to do would probably kill him. He didn't care because he knew she was safe & would take care of their kids. My eyes are wet now,moving on** He says it had to be done after he see the look of guilt cross her face. Then she sits up & asks :"did you get any sleep?" Bellamy: "I'll sleep when we find Finn,you haven't seen him Clarke, losing you, the others it changed him" He feels guilty for letting Finn go with guns & Murphy. To which Clarke replies: "I'm sure that had to be done too" I could keep going about this scene. I love it. They are so in tune with each other here. Then Octavia wakes & says they've "slept long enough" she wants to find Lincoln. Bellamy & Clarke do their signature nod at each other & move out. Cut to the village: Crazy eyes McGee (Finn) sets the villages food on fire in the middle of the night so he & Murphy can look for Clarke & Co. In the village. They are spotted so Finn starts shooting his rifle in the air & goes #allthewaycrazy taking the whole village hostage. Back at MW: Cage is still giving Lincoln "Rex treatments" now he's testing the reaper tone generator. But Lincoln is still resisting. My sweet man is so strong. Jasper is hooked up to Maya now. The his blood cleaning hers. He's high on meds. Dr Tsing : "it's perfectly normal" Monty gives her a knowing look then says :"if you've never done this before..how do you know?" Hahaha she tells him it will take a while, to head to his room until it's over. Monty doesn't even give her words just a sassy look & hand motion before sitting down right next to Jaspers bed. Monty is the best friend on earth. Literally. Back to camp: Abby approaches Raven looking a bit angry plopping Clarke's note in front of her Abby: did you know about this?!" Raven: "no" of course Abby doesn't believe her & then she slaps Raven across the face! I think that was just a reaction from her emotions but still Abby was so wrong for doing that. Given Ravens past & hard drinkIng mother, she was probably physically abused quite a bit. Which just makes my heart ache 😭 Raven just offers Abby her drink. Abby: "she's still just a kid" Raven: "you're wrong Abbey, she stopped being a kid the day you sent her down to die" & with that comment Raven slaps Abby right back. Cut to the forest: Kane is being led by the grounder unarmed & alone (they are outside of what we now know is polis) but Kane is too trusting & grounder dude knocks him out cold. He's then dropped into a prison cell where he meets the most startling cell mate, JAHA!! & Kane is officially confused. Back to the village: Finn has the whole village huddled into a literal animal pen! & he can't find Clarke but he does find sky people clothes!! He's starting to look crazy & Murphy is getting anxious. Finn is yelling "you killed them" saying their clothes are here. Murphy is trying to talk Finn down. He's already beyond snapped & is grinding a poor woman into the mud with his boot. The forest: Bellarke & O trying to find Finn as fast as they can. Octavia starts crying when she sees their back where the reaper took Lincoln. O: "I couldn't save him Bell" & Bellamy wraps her in a tight hug to comfort her. This scene is extra sad when you think about S3 :/ Back to MW: Lincoln is finally "full reaper" he & has to fight another one for the red injection & he does, he wins & injects himself. Cut to Maya waking & seeing that Jasper saved her. The treatments makes Jasper sick. Dante is not happy that Dr Tsing used Jasper without his consent. She wants to use all the kids. Cage tries to "contain" his dad by saying "go paint dad" "I've got this" he's already got the take over plan in mind I think. He thinks his dad is an "idealist" doesn't have the guts to "do what needs to be done" sigh. Back to the village: Nyko is trying to explain to Finn that they've been set up as revenge from the one eyed grounder he killed. Murphy: "it makes sense Finn" *sidenote* can we talk about how time & time again Murphy is the actual voice of reason? Like he's so rational in this scene trying to calm Finn down** but Finn is beyond that & when he sees a grounder run he opens fire one him. Then stops while Nyko & Murphy try to stop him. But he just.keeps.shooting. Here comes Clarke Bellamy & Octavia running! But everyone is too late & they come upon a massacre of 18 women, children and elderly. They are speechless as they take in the scene. Finn looking unhinged looks at the terrified Clarke & says: "I found you" This episode shocked me like the culling episode in S1x5 (& strangely enough the army massacre in S3x5) they always like to give us tender Bellarke moments & gut wrenching drama & death in episode 5 apparently. The 100 rewatch episode 2x4 many happy returns

Hello fam! Sorry I’m a day light! My wifi went down in the middle of the ep last night! And I had to work today so I’m just now getting to post! I love this episode! Here enjoy my jumble of a recap!

We open to the desert or “the dead zone” This s now making me think of the Rey jakku scenes from TFA lol Jaha made it to earth! Yay! ( so much sarcasm)

The forest: Anya has Clarke as prisoner while still running from the mountain men

The forest 2.0 Bellamy, Finn & Co. Sneaking around trying to find the grounder village. Finn is all fired up about getting to Clarke. Bellamy is at his “Finn limit” Finn *about the grounder he killed* “you think I wanted to do that?” Bellamy: “I know you did what you think you had to do, but you are not yourself right now & I can’t be out here with another loose cannon” oh Bellamy if only you could see S3 you 😢

Their argument stops when Monroe notices the scattered bodies of the “factory station” the group look over the cliff in horror at the crash site. Murphy :“rough landing” cue credits.

They are about to head out when they hear something, Bellamy turns Murphy walks back to the edge…it’s a call for help! & theres Mel holding on for her life. Sterling knows her & goes straight into hero mode for her. Finn is not happy Finn: “ we can’t stop” Bellamy: “we have rope” Finn: she’d never be able to hold on, we’d have to lower somebody" “I hate this as much as you but- Bellamy cutting him off: I okay?! I know. Bellamy looks so upset here also rightfully disgusted with Finn. Finn is like this poor young girl at the bottom of this cliff, I don’t know her so I don’t care. This is how Finn thinks. Bellamy is thinking “there’s a hurt young girl alone at the bottom of this cliff, my heart is gonna die if I didn’t at least try to help. This could be Octavia.”

Sterling is already in his way down & Bellamy gets his way because of it. Finn is not happy.

Back at camp Jaha: Sinclair sees Raven struggling with her leg. He loves her so much. He tries to not let on he saw her. He gives her a job, a purpose! He’s always there to boost her spirit by giving her brilliant mind a project. Raven does not like him trying to help her with her disability, she’s always got to be so strong in front of people.

The dead zone: Jaha wakes up to the desert kid (zoran) offering him water from a root plant. His parents come in & are not happy he rescued Jaha (neither am I kid 🙄)

The forest: Anya yelling at Clarke telling her to be quiet. Throwing mud in her face. They keep getting caught up to by the mountain men.

Cliff crew: Sterling :“I’m almost there” Murphy: “I’d say he’s heard one too many of your motivational speeches.”

Bellamy: “shut up Murphy” One of the best “comedic” exchanges of this series.

Oh no! Sterlings rope isn’t gonna hold! He’s trying so hard to save his friend 😭 Bless all these brave kids souls! They all try so hard! Mel is scared, she doesn’t want to jump to him & it’s a good thing too, his rope unknots & he plummets to the ground. Bellamy yells his name as he watches in horror; another kids life to tic mark & say “Another one I couldn’t save”

Poor monroe, he’s was probably her best friend. Bellamy ever the big brother/dad that he is encourages a terrified Mel Bellamy: “Mel! Hold on.” “Focus on me” Mel: “no I can’t” Bellamy: yes you can! You’re strong” Mel: “stubborn maybe” Bellamy : “we’ll be stubborn a little while longer” “I’m not gonna let you die. You hear me?” Finn is not happy. Finn: “we’re out of rope” Bellamy :“we find some more” Finn: if anything happens to our friends- Bellamy:“ we don’t even know if we can save our friends!” “They maybe dead already, but what we do know is we can save this one girl” Bellamy is not about to leave her behind.

**sidenote** this is another example about how Bellamy/Clarke are a check & balance. Bellamy will stop the world to save this one helpless girl he doesn’t know. He thinks in individuals. He thinks family. Friend. Child. Clarke is big picture. She thinks people groups.Societies.humanity. They each will do anything to save someone. But Bellamy would never kill an individual to save a larger group. Clarke would. She would sacrifice one person for humanity.**

The deadzone: Jaha wakes sienna is making him a meal of bugs. She’s the first to mention the city of light (I could choke you lady) Jaha gets scared by Zorans deformed face. And now we learn that grounders leave their deformed/disabled babies out to die. Lovely. Grounders are such a great “culture.”

Back at camp Jaha: Raven comes to work on radioes with Wick! Awww I love Wick, & I love their snarky banter. I will forever be salty that we won’t get more of his character. So sad. He’s teasing her with helium & she judges his work ethic lol Awww he built her a leg brace! ❤️

Cut to forest: Anya & Clarke still being tracked. Anya discovers she’s been bugged, under her skin. She rips the tracker out of her arm with her TEETH. Sweet lord. Clarke is impressed.

Back to cliff crew: They are lowering Bellamy slowly down (Murphy is the one ordering them to be gentle) Bellamy reaches her Bellamy:“it’s okay I got you” she’s still scared. He gets her to jump toward him a little, he catches her & her jacket drops down the cliff but he’s holding on to her with everything he’s got. They are pulling them up, but the rope looks weak….

Back to camp: Raven & Wick arguing about the radios. Raven trying to climb for the radio, realizing she can’t do it. But she’s trying to stay strong. Her emotions getting the best of her. She storms off.

The cliff crew: Murphy & crew still trying to pull Bellamy & Mel to safety. & the seat belts they used as rope unclasp! Bellamy & Mel start to fall just a little & Murphy grabs each end of the seat belt literally being the only thing between Bellamy,Mel & death Finn joins in as do Monroe & sterling & as if things couldn’t get worse: grounder attack from the woods with arrows…Monroe starts shooting at them. While everyone else tries to pull Bellamy up. They think they can’t & Finn & Murphy yell down : “Bellamy, you gotta cut her loose!” Bellamy: “No way!” Then someone blows the warning horn for acid fog & the grounders leave. Bellamy & Mel are finally pulled to safety!

**sidenote** Kim shum posted the other day about how they tried several times to get the actress that played Mel back. But she was unavailable. Which makes so much sense to me because when season 3 had just ended I did an s2 rewatch with a friend & headcanoned how much better/tragic it would’ve been if Gina had actually been Mel!! I mean we see all Bellamy went through to save her, & what girl wouldn’t have a crush on a beautiful angel like Bellamy after he saves your life? But the horns a trick! No acid fog it’s Octavia! & yay for this epic sweet sibling reunion (s3 Blakes,I’m still bitter) they hug so tight 😭 and she grabs his neck & they don’t even let go of each other as they start walking. I’M FINE.

Cut to camp Jaha: Wick is giving Raven a pep talk to snap her out of her depression (guys I really liked wick okay!) his talking gives her the push to try the brace he made her! Wick: “what do ya know, it holds” & then he sucks some helium & plays around giving her the idea to raise the radio beacon! (I love the levity Wick brings to the scenes he’s in, we NEEDED that in S3 guys)

Back to the deadzone: Jaha is bonding with Zoran. He mentions Wells!! Bless.

Cut to the forest: Clarke tricks Anya & hits her with a tranq dart! You’re so wily Clarke.

Back to the deadzone: boy is telling Jaha to run, bad men are coming for him.

Back to the cliff crew : Bellamy is bandaging up Mel’s arm (do you see the possibilities?! Ahhh!) Octavia talks about Lincoln. Bellamy: “I’m sorry O” bless him he’s always saying sorry for things he can’t control. The arrow Monroe got may be poisoned Bellamy: “ I have to take them home” He’s legit a family man if there ever was one. Finn knows & knows Bellamy will come back to help. Finn finally trusts Bellamy guys. He finally sees what Clarke has always saw in Bellamy: loyalty. Care. Devotion. & he has to eat all the negative words he ever said about Bellamy.

Murphy as he heads off with Finn :“parting. Such sweet sorrow,right? Bellamy is like hold up, but then thinks about it & tosses him a gun saying “watch Finns back” Octavia is gonna help him get them home.

Cut to the dropship: Clarke is dragging drugged Anya. She sees the message her mom left, but it’s all smudged from rain. But she knows someone’s been there, alive since the battle. That must raise her hopes a bit, but Anya staggers to her feet & starts the catfight to end all cat fights with Clarke. Seriously I love this fight. It’s so visceral. Anya doesn’t care to kill Clarke right there, but Clarke being Clarke clocks Anya in the head with a human skull, then pins her & beats her senseless. So almost goes in for the kill, but the radio beacon distracts her. Anya choking on blood: “you fought well” this is the moment Clarke earned respect from her first grounder leader. I love Anya.

Back to camp Jaha: Wick & Sinclair are pleased with Ravens radio beacon balloon. But of course Byrne is not “its a target!” She exclaims & shoots it down. Wick: “we fell to earth in a football stadium,I think they know we’re here.” (See what I mean about Wick bringing levity?) Byrne is still hot & preachy about them now being targets, & stomps off.

Cut to the deadzone: Jaha is being turned over to grounders (Lxa’s soldiers) because Lxa has a bounty on sky people’s heads!! & people say the grounders aren’t the antagonists in this story?! *sigh* I wonder if the desert family got chipped? Will we ever see them again?

Back to camp Jaha: Clarke & Anya have made it! Clarke let’s Anya go in hopes that she will get word to the commander & arrange a meeting. But of course because Clarke can’t have nice things, as Anya walks away Byrnes guards shoots her in the back. "My fight is over” & Anya dies in Clarke’s arms ( this is kinda paralleled in 3.7 with Lxa) then Clarke takes the butt of a rifle to her face via Sky guard. Poor Clarke. I just wanna give her a hug tbh. & boom cut to black!

The 100 rewatch ep 2x3 : Reapercussions

Hey guys! Here’s my super long recap/meta post enjoy:

We open to the MW harvest chamber Clarke talking to Anya “I’m gonna get you out of here” she’s looking around for something to break the cage with. She gets it open! But here comes evil Dr Tsing acting like she’s not keeping humans like lab rats. Clarke & Anya are out of the cage & on the run! Boom! Down the body shoot they go. This episode was so freaky on first watch. Clarke can be so cool under this kinda pressure! She’s a survivor of there ever was one. Clarke “we can get out of here, find help” Anya : “there is no we!” She’s still not into being allies with the sky people even though Clarke literally just saved her life. man I really love Anya. Reapers are coming! & they are heaping the almost dead bodies on top of a hiding Clarke & Anya. Eeeek! What any opening scene!

Cut to camp Jaha: Bryne filling Kane in on the prisoners escaping (Bellamy,Murphy) she wants to send the “earth skills teacher” after them, (I’m assuming there was more than one on the ark…or continuity error lol) Kane : “I’m more interested in finding who helped them escape” Abby walks in as if on cue “you wanted to see me?” Lol awkward. But he already knows & I think she knows he knows she let them escape. Kane: “tell me it wasn’t you” then he scoffs “are we really back to this? On the ark you did anything you wanted”

*sidenote*sense a bit of his edge here? It’s kinda like when Bellamy & Clarke first landed & Bellamy told her “you’re one of the privileged” Kabby is basically paralleling season 1 Bellarke storyline.* Kane :“as chancellor you can’t expect me to just-” Abby over him: “you weren’t elected chancellor Marcus!” “You only got the job because you beat Jaha to redemption” ouch. Abby knows how to cut deep.

Cut to the forest: Bellamy: “all right, Murphy where to now?” Murphy *shaking his cuffs* : “what do you say we lose these first?” Bellamy: “No.again.” Finn comes over & cuts them off anyway. Bellamy & Finn are still a bit at odds on co-leading this mission. But Bellamy just lets it go. Cut to Octavia following Indra “Lincoln taught me to fight,let me help.” Indra to her warriors: Kill her! (Cue my grounders are so sweet speech) but Octavia has been hiding her whole life so they run right passed her.

Back to MW: Maya is showing Jasper the art room. They flirt a little, she shows him her favorite painting it’s *sidenote* “the lovers whirlwind” (there’s tons of meta on this painting & what it means to the story) it’s the 5 circle of hell Dante visits in “ Dante’s inferno” and of course they happen to be living under a mountain with a president named Dante who lives off of feeding on the life blood of other humans. Coincidence? I think not!**

Jasper & Maya almost kiss! But someone comes in so they take off running…right into Monty who is worried because no ones seen Clarke. Jasper thinks Clarke can take care of herself. He’s mostly right. Clarke & Anya are still in the cart O’ bodies, they sneak out after Anya tells her fellow grounder “your fight is over” & snaps his neck.

Cut to the forest: Bellamy & Co. Still sneaking through the woods. But they spot movement & Murphy says “everybody down!” & pushes Bellamy down himself. *sidenote* I believe Murphy has a lot of admiration for Bellamy as an older male peer & all he ever wanted from him was validation,& respect especially after his almost hanging.even after he almost hung Bellamy in return. Murphy was angry & hurt then, lashing out. He’s actually starting to grow as a person & I hope in s4 we see a true “bro bonding” between Murphy & Bellamy.** They catch up to the grounders, but Bellamy sees nothing but grounders. Bellamy “maybe they know where our friends are” Murphy: “yeah or maybe they killed them already.” Then Finn recognizes Clarke’s watch around the grounders neck! Bellamy:“ what am I looking at?” Finn: “he’s got Clarke’s watch” Bellamy: “she wouldn’t give that up without a fight”

*sidenote* his face man, he pays so much attention to her guys? Like did she ever even bring up her dads watch to him? No. Because he didn’t even know really until Finn pointed it out. But Bellamy “intuitive af” Blake KNOWS her because he pays attention to her, he understands her. He just gets Clarke guys. & its beautiful.**

They’re planning to take the grounders by surprise Bellamy lays out the plan. Murphy: do I get a gun now?“ Bellamy :"something like that” *cut to Murphy clacking two rocks together 😂 truly one of the funniest scenes in this dark show. & a sneaky Bellamy appears (he stayed on the guys left because his left eye is missing! Bellamy is a smart cookie!) & knocks the grounder out cold.

Back to camp: Abby is tending the wounded. Kane is watching her, as he speaks to Byrne about Abby. Byrne says according to the charter Abby should get shock lashed (wait o thought all crimes were punishable by death in that? wyd writers?) Byrne: “I know she’s your friend” Kane : she’s not just my friend!“ (OH REALLY Kane?) He’s not happy about this one bit. Kane: "on the ark we had to be ruthless, uncompromising.” “Our hand was always forced” “but down here, we have a chance to start over,make something better.” (Kane is already becoming the glorious earthdad! Wiseman of season 3 here) he wants so badly to do things right. But he listens Byrne here after the fight that ensues when the grounder approaches. Dang you, Byrne.

Back to Octavia stalking Indra & co through the woods.

Back to MW: Monty is picking at his pie, not enjoying it. A nice parallel to episode one where he was devouring the pie happily with Jasper. Monty is also very initiative & he just KNOWS something’s wrong with Clarke.

*sidenote* besides them both destroying the mountain men with Clarke I think Monty & Bellamy bonded so well because they are both very intuitive & observant to the people & things around them, & they pickup on things faster than say Clarke or Jasper.** Monty is doubting Jaspers trust in Maya.

Clarke & Anya are trying to find their way out of the caves Anya: “what are they doing to us?” It’s so sad that they are afraid & get captured & die without ever knowing what’s happening to them, or why it’s happening.It’s like a nightmare. Anya :“you go your way. And I’ll go mine.” Clarke: “WE need to stick TOGETHER” Anya: “I told you there is no WE” Clarke: “I saved your life” Anya: “you saved my life because you NEED me” Clarke: “our best chance of making it out of here alive is TOGETHER.”

*sidenote* the words in all caps are here because I wanna emphasize Clarke & Anya conversation & how it has both Bellamy & Lxa moments. Clarke’s all about the “we’s” & “together’s” but Anya is like nope! You saved me because you need me( remember in 3.2 when Lxa says she “needs” Clarke.) it’s very interesting.**

Back to Octavia’s story: Indra is planning on catching reapers with Octavia. She realizes they know she’s there & steps out Octavia: “I am not afraid” Indra: “you will be”

Back to MW: Clarke is running through the tunnels she gets cornered by reapers, but the mountain guards save her. But arrest her to take her back.

Back to camp: Byrne comes & arrests Abby. Kane is waaaay conflicted, but just like Bellamy was pressured into hanging Murphy in 1x4 Kane buckles under the pressure of “the people knowing who’s in charge here” & he orders her lashed. More Kabby/Bellarke parallels.

Back to the forest: Bellamy & Co. In Finns secret bunker. Bellamy :“we’re gonna try this again, & this time you’re gonna stop screwing with us. Where did you find this?” *Clarke’s watch* Grounder: “I found it outside your camp” Finn: he’s a liar! She would never take it off voluntarily" Bellamy: “I know” lol he’s like dude don’t think you’re ahead of me on this. Finn pistol whips to grounder saying we’re wasting time! Where’s the girl! & Bellamy stops him pleadingly “Finn,stop!” “You don’t wanna do this. Trust me, there are some lines you can’t uncross.”

*sidenote* this speech is very much echoed in ep 3.16 when Bellamy is telling Octavia “I don’t want this for you” I hope it’s not a sign that Octavia is following in Finns footsteps all the way to a tragic death 😳** Finn doesn’t listen to Bellamy (again just like 3.16 Octavia) he pulls a gun & puts it to the guys head. He gives Finn a village location & has him draw a map of where to find it.

Back to camp: Byrne is also interrogating the grounder they found. She also pulls a gun on him. But Kane orders her out. Kane to himself as he looks at the grounder prisoner: “we can’t keep this up,& hope to survive” “there’s gotta be a better way” these lines still echo in the shows narrative.

Back to Octavia: she’s used as bait & they take out all the reapers! But Lincoln is not among the rescued grounders! Octavia is devastated & just screams at the top of her lungs in broken agony. (She does this same thing in 3.13, after she realizes they didn’t find Luna’s village) she doesn’t know what to do with her emotions she had to work them out physically. Which is why she always resorts to violence.

Back to MW: Maya approaches Jasper & Monty & tells them Clarke has been locked up in the psych ward for ripping out her stitches. & says no one can see her. Monty gets up in a huff & says “we’ll see about that” (I’m telling you guys no one loves Clarke & Bellamy more than Monty Green.)

Jasper feels guilty because he called Clarke crazy. Maya takes his hand to comfort him. Clarke is almost back inside the mountain the guards telling her she’s going in the harvest chamber with the grounders. She knows to much. But Anya saves the day! They run for it & It’s the water dam. Anya jumps. Clarke is scared & turns back, but decides her odds are better if she jumps & boom! She jumps.

Back to camp: Jackson is dressing Abby’s wounds. Abby:“you can lash me a hundred times & id still send them out to find those kids, my kids” Kane says he’s going on a mission to find the kids & talk to the commander. Kane:“I did hear you,ya know?” Kane: “I need you to be chancellor,please Abby for your people” & he hands her the chancellor pin. & heads out into the wilderness.

Back to Clarke: Anya pulls her from the water. But then knocks her in the head with a rock “you killed 300 of my warriors, I can’t show my face without a prize.”

Back to the bunker: Bellamy: “pack up, we’re leaving.” Sterling *points to the grounder: “what about him?” Bellamy: we’re not killing him. “He’s unarmed Murphy” Murphy:what happened to you,huh? You’re talking like you’ve never killed a grounder before" *and at that moment Finn shoots the grounder dead* Finn: “let’s get moving” The look on Bellamy’s face here. He’s like oh crap, Finn is losing it….

Back to Octavia: Nyko: you proved yourself Octavia of the skaipeople we will let you live" “Lincoln was a good man. He was my brother” Indra gives her a nod & they leave her in the forest.

Back to MW: There’s Lincoln in line for the “cerberus program” aka he’s about to be a reaper!

The 100 rewatch : 2x2 inclement weather

Here's my usual recap/meta/ramble post for hiatus! Enjoy! We open to Kane walking through camp Jaha: He's coming to see Bellamy. Kane: how many were there two,three hundred? Bellamy "I didn't count" hahaha he's always sassy when he's angry. Kane: what do you think provoked them? Bellamy:"we were here.that was enough." Yep. The 100 didn't start anything. Bellamy is on fire to find his Friends. Bellamy:"I have to be on that search team. Please." Kane: "it's to dangerous you aren't trained" (um lol) Bellamy: "those are my people out there" Kane making Bellamy feel like a failure. (This is why it's important when Kane affirms him in 2.16) Kane is none to pleased about giving guns to all the people.Wise decision. Cut to MW: The kids are chilling, thinking they are safe. Miller! Jasper flirting with Maya is adorable. Maya's gotta run to quarantine, Clarke & Jasper follow. There's a body with a bullet hole. & the super cooked guard. Clarke is still suspicious. Cut to the sky: Jaha is hearing the phantom baby cries. He opens a drawer & there's the baby! Back to camp: Raven is in a lot of pain. Not healing well. She'd rather die then never walk again. Raven is so strong guys. Cut to the forest: Octavia wakes to meet Nyko! For the first time. Back to MW: Clarke with her usual finesse "we need to talk" to Dante over the breakfast buffet lol she wants to know who shot the soldier. & she want to see the body again. Back to the sky: Jaha cuddling baby. Trying to get to earth. Back to camp: Abby is prepping Raven for surgery. Finn being scared for Raven. Raven is terrified. Abby is about to make the incision when Raven: "stop!!" She's in panic mode heavy breathing etc. Raven to Finn :"I'm scared" Finn : "look at me" "keep looking at me" then he "Platonically" holds her hand because she's scared. *sidenote* & the camera pans & ZOOMS IN on their hands, When does this occur again as a theme you ask? Ep 3x16 aka the bellarke hand holding scene! When Clarke searches for Bellamy's hand because she's scared. This whole trio scene with Abby is echoed in that ep right down to the blood curdling scream. Awww Bellamy can hear Raven screaming.The look on his face. Bless. Poor Murphy he was tortured by the cupcake grounders for 3 days before he broke. Bellamy drops his head, he's starting to feel for Murphy despite his best efforts not too. Screams come from the woods. Grounders pinned sky guards to trees with their spears.Yikes. *insert my cupcake snark* Cut to MW: Dr. Tsing brings the body for Clarke to see. Clarke: "the man with the burns, how is he?" Dr. Tsing doesn't want Clarke snooping about. They say it was a grounder arrow that killed the guard,even show her the arrow head. She's not buying it. They are going to great lengths to keep the kids from knowing the ark made it to the ground. Cut to the sky: Jaha with baby in tow realizes he may be able to use a missile to drop to earth in. Back to camp: Kane is disturbed by the dead tortured guards. Kane checking on Raven & Abby after the surgery. Abby: "she's a courageous kid" Kane: that's one thing these kids have. Courage" "Bellamy can't wait to get back out there" Abby: "he wants to help his friends" while Kane is talking she realizes he didn't send out the search party. He's worried about safety Kane: " those men were crucified" ( eerie Abby actually crucifies him about 4 months from this conversation) Abby is not a fan of the grounders either. Yet again the Bellamy/Abby & Kane/Clarke parallels are strong. Cut to the forest: Octavia wakes, Nyko tells her to run. He says Lincoln is answering for his actions. Instead of running she knocks Nyko out cold & brings him to trade for Lincoln. Octavia & Indra meet for the first time. Octavia is legit violent crazy when she's desperate. Back to camp: Raven is awake & Abby is testing her nerve response. Her left leg has nerve damage. My poor baby bird. She's so selfless though she tells Finn :"our friends are out there, you need to go get them" Back to MW: Jasper is trying to talk Clarke out of being so paranoid. Jasper even calls her a threat. He's a bit naive, but given the circumstances he thinks Clarke is about to crack due to fear & grief about Bellamy & Finn. But Clarke knows better than to trust these complete strangers. Her paranoia pays off. Cut to the sky: Jaha rigging his space suit to jump over to the next station with the baby. He makes it barely. But the baby is gone. I think this is the beginning of "crazy Jaha" and he never really goes away after this. Now he sees Wells & Ghost Wells has some great things to say: Wells "stand up, you're not done yet" Jaha: "I am." Wells: "our people still need you" Jaha: "I got them to the ground. I did my job." Wells: "what would you tell me to do?" Jaha:"that's not fair" Wells: "you would tell me to Live" "you've sacrificed so much. Your life can be more than just impossible decisions & a tragic end." "You can choose to live" Jaha: "I miss you son" Wells: "you can do this" *sidenote* tbh I would give my left leg to the writers if they would parallel this beautiful conversation in s4 between Bellamy & Clarke. Like Bellamy doesn't think he deserves to live & Clarke growing up bffs with Wells just gives a similar beautiful speech about living. Or it could be Clarke that needs to hear it from Bellamy. Wells speech here is like the whole damn show in one sentence "you've sacrificed so much. Your life can be more than just impossible decisions & a tragic end." This is Bellarke guys.** Back to camp: Finn breaks in to let Bellamy free Bellamy: "it's about time" lol the look Finn shoots him. Murphy :"wait, what abut me?" Bellamy is starting to see Murphy as more of a damaged kid than a cold killer. Poor Murphy is so ready for abuse that he flinches when Bellamy walks over to cut him free 😢 Back to MW: Jasper & Maya flirting at the piano. All the kids having fun. Clarke sitting in the chair exasperated when: guard who was a charred crisp a few hours ago looks almost as good as new.her paranoia is now on high alert. Since only patients are allowed in medics she does what Clarke does & rips her stitches out. Cut to the sky: Jaha blasts off towards earth. Back to the forest: Octavia waiting for Lincoln & Indra. They come, she hands Nyko over to Indra. Lincoln & Octavia reunite! But it's very short lived because reapers attack! And knock Octavia out. They take Lincoln. *sidenote* so in this scene here, Octavia is knocked hard on the head she falls over, and as she's losing consciousness the camera switches to her POV & as she sees Lincoln being led away screaming her name, the camera starts to blur focus so we feel Octavia losing consciousness & know that the last thing she focuses on is Lincoln. How very sad. How very romantic. When do we see this camera technique again? That's right kids ep 3x13 but this time it's Bellarke! & Bellamy's POV as he loses consciousness & he uses his last bit of focus to see Clarke & we fade out with him. How very sad. How very ummm platonic? See where I'm going here?** Cut to the desert: Jaha has landed in the dead zone. Back to the camp: Abby & Mr Miller meet Bellamy & Co. To give them guns. Abby :" bring them home" Back to MW: Clarke fake sleeping in medical, she's gonna snoop. She follows the blood tubes all the way to the air vent & crawls through & boom! The harvest chamber, all the grounders being kept in cages to be used like human batteries. & then she finds Anya! End scene. The end of this ep freaked me out when I first watched!
