Augustine leaned back a smidge, hand planted to the lowest part of her sternum.

      “W-well! I’m going to have to take your word on it in this case.”

“Because I’m afraid I don’t know who you’re speaking of..I’m sorry..”

"What the heck've you been up to?" Manny asks. It's asked in a friendly manner, surprisingly.

Zoe froze in her tracks. That voice was all too familiar. It brought back disgusting feelings and she suddenly felt like vomiting. She had hoped she would never had to hear him again, honestly. 

“R.....ivera...” she said slowly. “I t’ought chu were... hit by a... truck?” She glanced sideways. This was uncomfortable.

"Yyyeah." Manny says, wrinkling her nose in a grimace. "Yyyeah. It's, uh. It'sa long story, dude! But, t'celebrate my return, I'm throwin' a /party/!" Implicit in that is the question, "Do you wanna come?"

“Are you now? Do you need any help with it? I’ve gotten pretty good at baking these days. . .” Victor’s not usually much of a party person, but this is a friend he hasn’t seen in awhile. And he’d be only too happy to show off his new cooking skills to her.

I felt kinda bad for the Kraang creature, 'cus as Donnie said, the creature had all April's memories, so I wonder if that means, from the creature's perspective, all the tenderness April's 'mom' showed were real?

And here, we see a fairly ditzy fifteen-year-old girl act like she hasn't been missing for 5+ months. "Yo, dude!" she greets, enthusiastically.

And Victor’s left opening and closing his mouth for a good half a minute as he processes sudden Manny. “What -- Manny! Hi!” he finally gets out, smiling. “Goodness, I haven’t seen you since -- I think it was summer!”

   "S'what happens when ya sleep under a million blankets." Damn her lousy heating system. If the thing hadn't gone out in the middle of the night, she wouldn't have had to drag out all of her blankets.

   Watching Manny wiggle and squirm underneath the large pile was worth it, however. Madison giggled when her little friend's mess of curly hair popped out, a soft smile touching at her lips.

   "C'mere, you troublemaker." Grabbing the girl in a hug, she pulled her in close and decided that it was probably best to stay in bed for a few hours more. Why waste a perfectly good day off doing stuff when they could stay warm and sleep?
