Vil Schoenheit had always deemed the existence of "soulmates" to be a thing confined in the lines of a poem.

Ever the rationalist, Vil hadn't even entertained the fantasy of meeting his "perfect match", if such a person even existed. His life was not that of a cheesy movie script he'd turn down.

Finding someone who could cope with his strict lifestyle would be a miracle in and of itself.

...And if you had asked Vil Schoenheit what his image of the perfect partner would be, he would say exactly that.

↬ tags: school! au (leaning towards university), i can imagine this happening pleasee, not well written but i think it's cheesy (i originally wanted to tap in on mental load in couples because i found that meaningful but i couldn't fit that concept entirely in there)

summary: heeseung wants to take you out on a date, but you're too busy looking at the things that are not him

“looking at this diagram, we can then derive…”

heeseung easily tuned out the lecture, choosing to steal glances at you. you sat to his right, studiously taking down relevant notes while he was…well, looking at you. Inching a little closer, he made sure that his fidgeting hasn’t caught your attention, as he leans towards you. 

“you’ve got something to say?” you whispered under your breath, your eyes darting from the whiteboard to your notes.

“nope. i love you.” he whispered back, his right elbow shuffling closer so that it touched yours. he watched as you smiled to yourself, shaking your head whilst highlighting several keywords. 

“you aren’t gonna pay attention? it’s important, you know.” you lightly chided, this time gazing at him and his heart skips a beat.

“you’re just as important and i rather stare at you than hear professor park drone on about some formula.” heeseung playfully retorted back and you rolled your eyes, left hand coming up to rest on his thigh. 

“okay class, now about the upcoming mid-terms…here are some reminders…” you immediately took your hands off and resumed scribbling and heeseung nearly pouts at the warmth lost. he huffed, moving unbearably close to you. he side-eyes the things being written down, the dates you circled repeatedly and the content that was added bullet point after bullet point. 

the same information was definitely gonna be disseminated through the class group chat anyways: he knows the class president well enough to “extort” notes easily.

yet you always tell him to start paying attention in class, but heeseung can’t really care; he was just glad to be with you.

speaking of which…

picking up his own pen, he writes down “DATE???”, before ripping the page of his notebook and pushing the paper towards you. his action caught your attention and you raised an eyebrow at the paper, before directing it to him. 

a date? you mouthed. yeah, you and me. study date if you want. he mouthed back. 

your focus was back on the scrap of paper and he already saw the cogs in your head whirring. heeseung knows you don't really like sudden surprises or abrupt changes to your plan, so saying it today would technically give him…about 3-4 buffer days.

he wrote down, “your favorite cafe, this weekend” and eyed your expression. you perked up, yet seriously considered it for a few seconds, and knowing you, giving it thought means he has room for a little negotiation. 

“okay, what…” you hesitated. he stood a chance!

you gestured for him to lower his voice, yet there was only much he could do to contain his excitement. 

he spoke in hushed tones, happiness coursing through his veins, "we can get whatever you want to eat! oh, that reminds me there's a new menu coming out too so we can check it out. what do you say?" heeseung nodded, trying to get approval. you seemed satisfied with his answer and nodded back, all while smiling.

"and...you can wear that fit you had just gotten over the weekends. i know you've been dying to wear that out." judging by your new level of excitement, heeseung knows he won you over.

"you're gonna match?" "yeah of course! anything with you."

Top 10 Choices books

This time, I actually managed to rank my favorite books. But don't expect this to happen again 😅

1. The Crown & The Flame: fierce female MC who's not only a queen but also a warrior, male MC that turns into a dragon, intricate adventure with lots of action, great characters (including LIs, side characters and villains) and didn't even need CG art to make the story compelling. Oh, how I miss PB's early years...

2. Ride or Die: I expected the worst from a book which MC is a nerdy teen getting involved with illegal car dealers and car races, but PB went there and made me eat my words. The outstanding plot, the amazing LIs and side characters, actual character development for MC and a beautiful open ending. All of that in one single book? Damn, PB ❤️

3. Hero: I'm not of big fan of super heroes stories, but this one has my heart with its interesting LIs and friends to MC, engaging plot and a villain that looks like he stepped out of Spiderman universe to enter Choicesverse.

4. Bloodbound: even though the two last chapters were absolutely traumatizing (and I will NEVER forgive what the writing team did to Jax and Lily), Bloodbound lore is really engaging, has some great action scenes, most likely the best NSFW scenes and wonderful LIs.

5. Perfect Match: I genuinely thought it was just a romance book. I was so wrong! PM has adventure, sci-fi, drama, comedy and gorgeous LIs. I love it!

6. The Heist Monaco: Smart and cunning MC, interesting and gorgeous LIs, awesome adventure/action/comedy plot and great side characters with some of the best group scenes.

7. It Lives Beneath: best horror book PB has ever written with choices that can drastically affect the ending. Plus, Tom is romanceable 😍

8. A Courtesan of Rome: because it's based on Ancient Roman History (and I love History), the storyline has some inconsistencies that bugged me sometimes, but MC is so awesome, and the LIs were so good that it was hard to choose and I nearly forgot Cassius wasn't this sweet, intellectual and idealistic guy the book makes him look like lol.

9. Mother of The Year: another book PB made me eat my words. I love a book with a fierce MC, wonderful LIs and a daughter so adorable and smart that even this millennial terrified of having kids was all heart eyes in the very first chapter;

10. High School Story: did I expect to be so invested in a story about a teenager having cheesy teenager problems during high school? No. But I was so freaking invested on this drama-free teen trilogy I was pissed when I found out the fourth book was actually a new story without my beloved MC and their hilarious dad and the original HSS LIs had very little relevance to the plot (But I forgive the writing team because of Skye ❤️)

Honorable mentions:

- Distant Shores: Pirate book, time travel and a heartbreaking ending. What's not to like?

- Blades of Light and Shadow: I have to admit I like the plot more than its characters, but also like playing with as an orc (even though the storyline didn't do justice to Orc MC on book one)

- Crimes of Passion: even tho I haven't finished playing it, I looooove a good mystery/thriller/horror book, it's great to play as an adult MC who's actually good at what they do and it's the only single LI book I played in which the LI is worth all the hype;

- Guinevere: also haven't finished playing it, but I love a good period book with a good dose of fantasy. Plus, Arthur is the sweetest;

- Desire & Decorum: NGL after book one, there were so many filler scenes on books two and three, but I was* too madly in love with my Ottoman Prince and liked 90% of the characters to give up on the story ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

Cyborg 009 BGOOParts Delete (2020) - Volume 2

A full year has past since I read volume 1, so it’s time for me to get up to speed. Luckily, since this is a story that has been rehashed time and time again, it’s going to be easier to recall what’s going on. I can’t believe 3 more volumes have already come out, what a quick turnaround time! (Probably not a good sign tbh). 

Ch. 8 

-It kind of bugs me how the cyborgs names are stylized with their numbers and then their actual names in furigana. Are they calling each other by their names or their numbers? Confusing...

-The art style continues to be gorgeous. Love the dedication to keeping older aesthetics alive (I follow some artists on Insta that do 90s anime art). 

-A lot of the vocabulary went over my head this chapter, but it’s not too hard to grasp the generic “mwahaha we’ll become powerful Gods and take over the world” narrative.

-I feel like some of the Mythos cyborgs translate well to modern day and some are too cheesy to take seriously -cough- hippo man -cough cough- 

Ch. 9

-Whelp, that chapter was kind of difficult to understand. This manga is very monologue/dialogue heavy. I could basically tell that they were going on and on about destiny and the meaning of their existence (both the numbers cyborgs and the mythos cyborgs) 

-Kind of annoying how 003 gets relegated to “(wo)man in the chair” instead of getting in on the main action, but oh well. I guess it makes sense since her ability isn’t really useful in battle.  

Ch. 10

-So Hera took over Rico’s body preventing the numbers cyborgs from attacking her. Once again, I struggled to follow this one. Even though it’s a modern Cyborg 009, they still talk in an old timey way that’s hard to follow.

-These chapters are really short. This one was basically entirely villain monologue and very boring. 

Ch. 11

-Okay, I lied, that chapter was kind of long. We’re really moving at a snail’s pace here. Like a multiple chapter build up to a single battle...is that really necessary? What is this, Dragon Ball?

-Helena (or one of her sister’s) and Pan show up. Helena says something about this being a battle that was fought before previously. Tell me about it lol...

Ch. 12

-A pretty dull fighting chapter where the Mythos cyborgs mock the numbers cyborgs. They all seem to be paired up with cyborgs similar to them and mostly evenly matched. 

-The horse cyborg’s neck guns are pretty cursed looking, yuck

-So apparently other numbers cyborgs can use acceleration mode because of the Dolphin somehow? That just feels like cheating...

Ch. 13

-In this chapter Apollon just goes on an on about his “real sister” Helena who is also Artemis I guess? I dunno lol. He said that she has the power to amplify her teammates powers which...I’m so sick of these female characters getting the lame supporting role bleh. Also 003 shows up for like two seconds and does nothing (except call for Ivan). 

-Joe has literally been standing around saying nothing for several chapters now. What a boring hero. He might as well be a silent video game protagonist. 

-Urgh...gotta find something positive to say...I guess I was kinda excited that Ivan was mentioned for the first time in awhile, but we didn’t actually get to see him. Boo. 

-I know it was like this in the OG manga, but I wonder what the logic was behind making some of the Mythos cyborgs animal hybrids and some human like. Achilles is a panther dude for example. 

Ch. 14

-Joe successfully defeats Achilles, Geronimo fights the minotaur and Francoise confronts Helena (who she recognizes from their past meeting). It was nice to see Geronimo fighting for a change. 

Not sure if I’m finding this painful to read because of the tricky, kanji-heavy Japanese or because the writing sucks. Gonna say it’s a combo of the two...Oh well. Only a few volumes to go and I’ll be done. Just want the Mythos arc to end.

me and @helloladder are hanging out which of course means many long late-night discussions over theater stuff :) so this Beowulf post is half credited to them.

I sincerely don't think Art In Violence should have ever been changed, and if I ever got the rights to the show I would fight to be allowed to use the older version.

The old version gives a more complex narrative, it makes the argument between Beowulf and the Academics less one-sided. They have spent the entire show writing him off as a violent brute, criticizing his actions while ignoring sections of the story that don't agree with the narrative they force on him (see: 2/3 of them simply not finishing the book). And is continues during the argument, they condescendingly refuse to listen to him and insist he's the one who is acting out of place for trying to talk back.

They tell him to "just sit and think" like they don't think he ever has before. So he humors them, he does, he takes a break and lets himself calm down and collect his thoughts. And then he tries to communicate on the level they want him to, if they weren't going to listen to him because he was being too loud and angry then he's going to be as soft and cheesy as he possibly can. That's where we get the silly calypso version of Art In Violence, he is baby-talking them, putting things as sweetly as possible so they can't use his tone as an excuse to ignore his words.

And the words! "I exist as a sculpture""You created me by uttering my name" he's right! It's impossible to interact with stories so far from our current way of living and not impart our own biases and opinions onto the work, it will always be shaped by the person viewing it. The Academics in particular have very strong biases and constantly repeat their interpretations as if it's fact. And they deserve to be called out for it, not just in a shouting match they ultimately win but in a way that leaves space for Beowulf to have his moment, to validate his thoughts, even if the characters themselves don't listen.

I also think the tonal shift is a nice break. The break from the musical style of the Herot band we've been hearing this whole time really separates their character of Beowulf from the version of him we're seeing now. It's not the same guy, he's not like how they paint him to be.

I just think it does the show a disservice to replace something that breaks the mold of the show and makes people think with something that sort of proves them "right", with Beowulf unable to communicate outside of a shouting match. He's a complex person! He's a little slow at putting his thoughts together but that doesn't make him not worth listening to. Sure, in the end he realizes he was wrong about the better-to-retaliate-than-to-mourn deal, but the academics were also wrong in thinking that was the only thing going on in his head.

with every letter that passes through your ears, you regain some strength grain by grain

unfortunately, the rest of the members just happen to have the best - or worst - timing

in the midst of sunoo comforting you, all 6 boys barge past the front door, jumping over your discarded belongings

when seeing you and sunoo embraced with one another, they right away assume that it’s just some cheesy moment, not anything intimate and vulnerable

so they take the chance to tease the eldest of the maknaes

i feel like he’s the shyest of the maknaes in terms of PDA

he’s cautious of it, making sure he’s not too excessive but does indulge in small actions such as handholding and quick hugs

it’s one of those warm spring days where the sky is clear and blue and the weather is enough to match everyone’s warm, cheery moods

to take advantage of this stunning weather, you and jungwon decided to ask jake, niki, and sunghoon to tag along to the dog park with their pets

so of course, with you and jungwon with maeumi, jake with layla, niki with bisco, and sunghoon with gaeul, you all made way to the sprawing greenery littered with pups of all breeds

your...travelling troupe, if i should put it that way, make way and settle on a patch of grass, resting your bags against a large tree

because the dogs were so impatient and excited to start playing with one another, you reach into one of the bags for a tennis ball and throw it as far as you can so that they could run and bring it back to you

soon enough, the boys joined in with the ruckus of the dogs, running around and playfully wresting with them, tacking them into a heap of cuddles and laughter

half an hour passes and niki, jake, and sunghoon leave to buy drinks for everyone

whilst gone, you continue to play with the boys’ respective dogs, earning a copious amount of licks all over your face

their tiny paws step on you and soon enough, you’re covered in a mountain of dogs, which, to be honest, you couldn’t complain about

their cuddles and kisses begin to get a bit too ticklish for your taste, resulting in you launching forward to clutch your stomach in laughter as it racks through your entire body

after a few moments of laughing, you finally catch your breath and glance over at jungwon, who seems to be kind of jealous

he’s sitting alone on the bench, arms crosses with his bottom lip jutting out

rising from the ground, you brush off your jeans to clean them and walk over to him, plopping down next to him

“wonnie...you’re looking awfully lonesome right now, aren’t you?”

“oh? you finally noticed?”

you huff in annoyance but then straighten your back when you get an idea

if attention is what he wants then attention he will get!!!

shifting in your seat to fully face his, you reach out and begin to pinch his cheeks

when you notice him squirming away from you, you inch closer to him and engulf him in a hug that leaves him with no way to escape

“y/nnnnn-”

you interrupt him by places where your fingers were once placed on his face

“aweeeeee how could i neglect you like that? how could i be playing with the dogs when i have the cutest boy sitting right in front of me?”

you notice that he’s glowing red from the tip of his ears right to his neck and although he’s ‘trying’ to push you away, you know exactly that he secretly loves this onslaught of affection, he just doesn’t want to admit it

this ensues for a good 30 seconds before, much to jungwon’s horror, you hear a familiar snicker followed by the same person choking

you pull away from your boyfriend and look towards the sounds

lo and behold, you see niki clutching his throat as he continues to cough, trying to get his drink from out of his throat

you conclude that he caught sight of you and jungwon’s unusual PDA, thought it entertaining but tried to keep his laughter within him but failed, resulting in him choking on his drink

you rush up from the bench and run towards the youngest and pat on his back to help his demise

once he’s calmed down, he swats your hand away and steps back

“whoa whoa whoa, y/n...stop giving me attention or else jungwon will get jealous again”

again?

oh god he saw how butthurt jungwon got with you and the dogs

but of course, jungwon wanting to protect his pride springs up from sitting down and defends his case

“hey, that’s not it at all! i was just getting bored of sitting alone”

“yeah alright, or maybe you were upset that bisco was getting more action than you...through, y/n definitely made up for it”

his eyes trail to your boyfriend’s clothes and sure enough, you see how disheveled his shirt had gotten and how quickly his pants wrinkled

there’s no way he’s able to defend himself now

he’s such a clingy and affectionate guy, he literally will not hesitate to pounce on you and give you a back hug

he especially loves it when he’s ticking his members off

but of course, if he senses that you’re uncomfortable, he’ll back away and stop his relentless pestering of love

to celebrate the release of their most recent album, you and the boys decided to head on over to an amusement park

the first stop, which was spurred on by no one else but niki, was the the biggst roller coaster there

although everyone (except for niki) was afraid, you all planned that when your photo was to be taken at the big drop of the ride, your faces would be completely devoid of emotion

while you and the elder members of the group were screaming in fear all the way before the drop, niki was whooping and cheering, fists pumping in the air while everyone else was clutching onto the bar

you all were getting ready to wipe the fear off your faces when the time for the photo was coming up, attempting to shove the scream down into your stomachs

everything happened so fast that when you were blinded by the flash of the camera, you felt niki swaddle you into his lanky arms while pressing his cheek to yours

you figured he was finally getting scared and this was his way of preparing himself

but when you got off the roller coaster and went to collect your photos, you all clambered around one another to see how it came out, only to see 6 of the 7 members with straight faces sitting rigidly in the pleater seats and niki, dear niki, strangling you in a death-like hug while you were screaming

everyone simultaneously turned their heads towards niki in disappointment, including you, only to see him with a shit eating grin on his features

he looked so proud of himself

jay marched right up to the maknae and took a hold of his shoulders

“listen! i know, bro trust me, I KNOW, WE ALL KNOW FOR GOD SAKES THAT YOU’RE IN LOVE WITH Y/N BUT WOULD IT KILL YOU FOR ONCE TO GO ALONG WITH THE PLAN!?!?!”

niki retorts with a, “we could go again”

“there’s no way in hell i’m going on that death trap again”

niki pouts and looks down at the floor

“you’re right, i’m sorry. it wouldn’t kill me to listen just for once...you know what would though?”

“what?” jay asks, softening up to niki

“BEING APART FROM MY Y/NIEEEEEEEE”

jay grabs a fistful of his blond hair and yells in despair all the while you’re left blushing in embarrassment 

niki takes his place next you and swings his arm around your shoulders

“you telling me i should be statue next to this beauty?”

heeseung chimes in. “well no, not exactly but please, tone it down”

niki ponders this for a bit

“hmmmmmmmmmmm. no”

“wha-”

and out of no where, niki lifts you up bridal style

“i will defend my y/n’s honour until death! nothing will ever wedge our love apart” he speaks in a deep tone, trying to imitate a knight

“your death is gonna come sooner or later” sighs jay in a monotone voice

niki, much like his adored bisco, tilts his head to the side, confused

“huh? what’s that supposed to mean?”

“you wanna know what it means?”

“yeah”

“put y/n down”

“what? why?”

“just put them down”

he listens you and steadies you on your feet

“it means...YOU BETTER KNOCK IT OFF OR I’LL DO IT FOR YOU” jay pounces on your boyfriend about to put him in a headlock and give him a noogie 

but what jay fails to remember is that niki is a bit taller and kind of clumsy which then results in them falling to the ground, their legs getting tangled up

it literally looks like something from a cartoon

now it’s niki who has jay in a headlock while he rubs his knuckles on the top of his head

“NEVER! I’LL NEVER STOP! NOTHING WILL EVER STOP MY LOVE FOR Y/N!”

you clear your throat and get down to business

“niki, stop it right now and get up”

and like a programmed robot, niki rises from the ground and dusts himself off, giving you a polite salute right after

looks like niki only listens to you

So about me..

Im a young adult, 5’6. I have red hair, like naturally, I have green eyes and I’m horrendously pale. I have a lotta freckles and I love to wear makeup, especially stuff that’s really big and that pops.

I love to cook, even though I’m not very experienced at it I love to make food people like and enjoy. I also like to write, which is one of my major hobbies, but I draw occasionally. (Not very good at it).

I love to collect action figures and comic books, it’s been something about me since I was a child. I am a tiny bit of a nerd in that sense. (To be fair I’m on tumblr so ahhaha). Something about me that I can’t really leave out because it’s a huge part in my life is that I love Alice in Wonderland, like any form of media inspired by it, or the book itself. I have read it time and time again, it’s a comfort thing for me and it inspires a lot of my life. Other stuff that I like usually stems off of that, like my favorite animals are rabbits and mice. I love American McGees Alice series, I don’t know it was just a huge foundation of my person and is incredibly important to me.

he can make tea, you can cook pies, it's a match made in heaven or... wonderland... so cheesy i am so sorry

writing and art would be so important to him, it would make his day to sit down and create stories with you and let you illustrate them for him, a nice and healthy way to live out a fantasy life that doubles as a bonding experience

yeah we're all nerds here (haha managed to squeeze in another reference) and i think it's important to him that he encourages people to embrace their passions, even if they seem nerdy to other people, so he'd definitely be buying you action figures and comics as gifts for every occasion

ok so this is where it really matches lmao the standard mad hatter obsession with alice in wonderland. although for gotham hatter, i think the american mcgee's alice vibes match him more. it might be his gritty, darker appearance but it just suits him aesthetically, so he'd be fascinated to learn more about it from you

rabbits and mice aplenty by the way, he's such a soft boy, it's hard to imagine him not being kind to the smallest of animals and treating them with exceptional care

finished lockwood & co! thoughts time!!

the more comprehensible ones first. the visual direction on this show is fucking genius!! some highlights include: lockwood's outfit (i want that coat), actually being able to see shit during the nighttime scenes, the design of the house, the choice to make lucy wear blue all the time, the stupid little uniforms that kipps and his guys wear, the design of the ghosts, the dream sequence in like episode 2 (?), the red room, etc.

also i called joplin being bad from the second she opened her mouth, i think it was the music that clued me in. hate her. the show did a great job making me extremely uncomfortable when she was around.

i love lockwood. asshole in a suit, and he's got trauma that causes him to be cold and arrogant and distant? sign me the fuck up! he looks good with his own blood running down his face (and i can say that bc his actor is 20)

i knew norrie was gonna die (or something similar) the moment they started talking about future plans in ep 1. still broke me when it happened. the 3 years earlier sequence was probably the most intense introduction to what i thought was gonna be a somewhat typical ya tv show i've ever seen

love that the show doesn't pretend to be self aware, and in fact leans into a lot of tropes and clichés bc it works! if they were too afraid to be seen as too cheesy it would've ruined the whole show, so i'm really glad they weren't

i really like the writing. it felt very natural to go from one arc to another, the characters felt tangible, their actions completely within reason for who they are and what they've been through. could've fleshed out winkman (?) a little. he felt a little flat, though maybe he'll make a comeback in another season

they're fucking children. this whole world is fucked. they make children fight fucking ghosts. fucked up world. hope that if they make more seasons this will be addressed in depth. they hinted at it here and there, but i need them to have a full a-plot conflict about it. i haven't read the books but i'm assuming this is a thing that happens in them (and if not they really fumbled the bag)

all the stuff about the costumes and set design and lighting is just like!!! hell yeah!! we can actually see at night, which is great because that's when the majority of it's set

the characters are all so so great and i love them and they have so much depth and interesting things about them!!! have you picked up on lockwood's socks yet? they start off pink and then as the series progresses they go to blue to match with lucy!!!

and the world building!!!!! you've probably gathered by now that i'm a sucker for good world building and this show!!!!!! has it!!!!! i really fuckin hope we get another season so we can see more of it (but also i'm gonna read the books soon so i'll know if the shit's all addressed)

george is so so autistic. and i get what you mean about flo, very true tbh

how did you feel about the slow burn romance? because i'm obsessed with it! how their hands always touch for a little too long etc

also i can fix kipps. yep. i can make him better. he grew on me towards the end and now i love him. pathetic man. falls exactly in my type

A/N: (Everyone’s a touch OOC as I doubt either one would willingly drag a civilian along, albeit for different reasons: Carlos because once you’ve been escorted to safety, you’re no longer his immediate concern; Nikolai because he was never all that interested in saving civilians, to begin with, but let’s say you’re just so darn cute/special that you alter canon circumstances, okay? Okay. Also, all of them survive RE3 in this, so yeah.)

When shit starts hitting the fan, you don't panic immediately. After all, you work in a hospital, what better place to be during a pandemic, right? 

Wrong! Oh so wrong. 

You see the effects of the T-virus up close and personal, and it’s not pretty. Prior to this point, you thought such viruses only existed in science fiction or cheesy B-grade horror movies. But here it was in your workplace, quickly overcoming all quarantined forces, hospital staff, and security. 

So you flee. You leave through a back exit and get the hell out of dodge, or at least, the center of dodge. You soon find, however, that it’s not just the hospital that’s overrun, but the city as well.

Maybe that’s how you meet them…

Carlos:

He swoops in and saves you from a hoard of zombies, looking like an A-list action star as he does it. (It’s the hair- it’s incredible.)

He tells you his platoon is rounding up survivors in the subway, that it’s a temporary shelter until they can get the trains up and running again. That he and his teammates were sent in to get everyone safely out of the city. You’re not sure if you believe this plan, but you follow him eagerly as he leads you to the subway. 

On the way, you tell him who you are. When he finds out you’re medical personnel, he’s both impressed and relieved. He tells you his captain has been injured, and they haven’t come across a doctor or nurse that hasn't already been infected. You of course offer to help in any way your can. (Because you’re awesome like that.)

You’re not surprised when he tells you he’s working with Umbrella because you also work with Umbrella as a hospital employee. But to you, they’re a pharmaceutical company, why would they need military personnel? It doesn't sit right with you, but Carlos is an absolute sweetheart. (I mean the man is cracking jokes in the middle of the apocalypse.) So you trust the guy.

Carlos does his best to assure you you’re not a burden or some sort of unwanted weight when you first arrive at the subway car. Mainly, because he can tell by the way you keep offering to help get the trains running, even though you’d be no match for the horde, but also because of Nikolai’s snide comments about Carlos bringing in “yet another one” when the cars still weren’t working. “Hey, don’t worry about it,” he says. “It’s our job to protect you.”

Carlos takes you to his Captain- Captain Mikhail Victor in charge of Umbrella's Delta Platoon. You try and treat the Captain’s injury the best you can, using what little supplies from the first-aid kit that’s available. You apply a generous amount of first aid spray and wrap a makeshift bandage around the cut. You would have attempted sutures if the kit had any but unfortunately for the Captain, it didn’t. The wound isn’t deep but it’s in a compromising place. You know this man won’t make it out of here on foot. 

Overall, you feel you’ve done an inadequate job because you know the Captain is still incredibly vulnerable, but both Carlos and Mikhail assure you, you’ve been more than helpful. 

But you want to help more! When Carlos admits he and Tyrell won’t be catching the train and will instead stay behind to look for Bard, you offer to come with them, to help them navigate the hospital. 

Of course, everyone thinks it’s a horrible idea. One: because Bard is supposedly at the police station, not the hospital, and Two: because you have no weapons training whatsoever. You’re a walking liability. Nikolai teases Carlos about “taking on the burdens of strays”. You flip him off behind his back. 

After a ton of back and forth, you insist you go with Carlos and Tyrell, refusing to get on the train. At one point you take a seat on the ground of the platform and cross your arms stubbornly. (You’re not going and they can’t make you!)

Carlos is the first to accept the situation and roll with the punches. “Alright. But I have one rule.” He says. “No dying on me.” 

You stand, smile, and shake his hand. “Deal.”

The three of you make it to the police station, where you hang back with Tyrell in the main lobby as Carlos looks around for Bard. Once it’s revealed that Bard is still at the hospital, you offer to escort Carlos there. After giving him your best “I told you so” smirk that is.

On the way you find Jill, clearly having been infected by something, even though you’re not certain what. But none of that matters as you and Carlos bring her to the practically abandoned hospital. 

Once Jill is settled, you give Carlos some directions and a rudimentary drawing of where to locate the asshole Bard’s office. “You’ll need a voice key,” you tell him. “You’d have to look around these rooms for one of his cassettes.” 

He thanks you before asking you to look after Jill for the time being. You promise to radio him if her condition worsens. 

When Carlos comes back with the vaccine, you could practically kiss the man. You don’t, of course, it wouldn't be appropriate. (But the thought does cross your mind very briefly.) Carlos lets you administer the vaccine to Jill, you being the trained nurse and all. With all that's happened, being able to do some actual healing feels like nothing short of a miracle. 

You begin to take notes on Jill’s condition, commenting that although it doesn’t seem to be a speedy cure, her fever’s going down and her skin doesn’t look as clammy. 

The miraculous feeling doesn't last long, however, as Tyrell comes bursting through the room, clearly out of breath and pretty banged-up. He turns on the TV and to your horror, you find you have only hours to make it out of Racoon City unless you want to be vaporized. (Which, no, thank you! You certainly don’t!)  

After catching up, Tyrell being high-key surprised you’re still alive, (which honestly, you’re like ‘same’ lol) you decide to go with Carlos underground, to locate the stockpiled vaccine as a last-ditch effort to save the city. You hope whatever they made, that there’s tons of it. 

Before going underground though, Carlos gives you a gun from one of the killed security guards. It only has a few bullets but he feels safer knowing you’re not just going to walk completely weaponless into whatever danger Umbrella has waiting for you.

Progress Reflection - 3/14/23

Work towards my project has come to a slow halt, I've genuinely been struggling with self motivation as I go through personal and financial troubles in my life outside of school and work. The pressure is on as we're now in the final stretch of the semester where although it seems like we have a lot of time counting the days-- we truly only have a few weeks left.

Even despite my struggle I've at least done small steps to helping set myself up to record data once I finally -- and have to start posting on my Instagram hopefully by this Sunday. Originally I planned to only post perhaps five to six times a week, but I'm scratching that plan and making it 7 days a week just to help myself gain as much data and information that I can as I post on my page. For my data I'll be tracking information such as likes and comments for my daily posts (including anything noteworthy) as well as audience insight information as I believe that'll be valuable when comparing data.

As well my posting matrix is coming along as well, I have lots of content to pick from so it's just a matter of deciding how I should post things together and over time. The videos I've taken for Reels just need to be edited to provide more polish, as well as match up with any currently trending audios. Once again it feels a little cheesy writing out descriptions as it has been a while since I've posted on my personal art Instagram, so it's simply getting back into those motions once again.

Putting the final touches on my website wireframe and website copy is really what's holding me back. I haven't even gotten to actually building my site yet on Wix using the excuse of "I'll wait until I send my works to Sharla for approval first then I can start working on the real thing." But this is no time for anymore excuses, as now I'm paying for the consequences of my own actions. For too long I told myself that "I have time" and now I'm starting to run out of it.

Time is of the essence, and I've got a lot of work cut out for me, but I'm determined to still put in my best work for this.

He loves to show affection towards you, although he can be a bit shy in public (especially when he’s with people he knows). Show affection to you when Gojo is around is a definite NO. You two would never hear the end of his teasing and running away does nothing since Gojo is almighty and he sees all, hears all

You met him at jujutsu tech and was the first one to actually understand his onigiri language which led to a lot of pranks and misunderstandings (great power comes with a lot of fun)

Going on dates would just be shopping for clothes or just going to random places.

Inumaki has the BEST style, he could honestly be a model if he wanted to as well. Shopping for clothes is a blessing since he can always find great clothes for a reasonable price

After a whole day of shopping you would just like to lay down and let him run his fingers through your hair. Or you would stop at a movie theater and watch whatever’s there, no matter how strange the title is.

Watching random movies has always been an interesting thing. Especially if it’s a really cheesy movie in an empty theater. You would make fun of it and it’s such a great time

Then the day after you’ve spent all your money on clothes, you would both dress up really extra and hop on the subway to a random city and enjoy the scenery

He loves to express affection with actions since it’s hard for him to do it with words. He would usually do small things like touching pinkies or leaning on your shoulder

No matter your height, you’re the big spoon. No arguments. He just wants to feel safe and warm :)

He doesn’t mind if you’re talkative or quiet, he loves you either way. If you’re talkative, he would just enjoy listening to your voice and it would be relaxing for him. If you’re quiet, he would enjoy the peace and just relax in your arms

Although he gets really sad about not being able to really express his feelings, you would always make him feel better by making him laugh and reassuring him that you love him no matter what <3

You love to play games together especially with Gojo and the other students. You and Inumaki are gods at games and each time you played, Gojo ends up owing you more and more things (although he never actually gives you it smh). Honestly, you’re not sure why they still play with you, they always end up losing :]

Whenever you’re out on a date, matching clothes are a must. Def the prettiest couple out there

Aaand that’s it. I’m rly not bothered to write anymore atm since my productivity has gone down the drain so yea :/

Haikyuu!! and Oikawa Tooru appreciation post

I’m so grateful for how haikyuu has changed my life in a mere 5 years of knowing it—introducing me to anime in general, getting me into reading fic and writing, giving me new friends, mental stability, many personal realizations, motivation, and quite honestly, a will to live.

Haikyuu has never failed to make me feel something even if nothing else does. It’s insane how one line, one ost or one manga screencap is enough to make me swell in nostalgia and emotions and cry. I’m so grateful to Furudate for creating such good characters whose dreams and actions are so real that they themselves feel Real (oikawa on Argentina news is the icing on the cake NSHSJSHSJS).

Teammates and even other schoolmates as found family, the spiker-setter connection, staying after school to practice for hours and getting to know the other person—things I’ve experienced myself and miss from my own childhood. It feels like I grew up with them and know them inside out despite them being fictional. cheesy, but they taught me about passion, love, and what I want from both of those things.

I don’t get lonely a lot but I wonder how different that would’ve been if I hadn’t discovered this series.

happy 27th birthday king i love love love you so much. you are who I aspire to be: a charisma filled person who makes everyone feel secure, a leader who brings out the absolute best in your team, a not-genius who never stopped working for something they want. I want to be you and I want what you have (a dream, charisma, a person who’s seen you through everything and loves you regardless) and that should make me jealous. But instead I find myself making you my idol and cheering you on through every match, crying in both s1 and s2 and in the last chapter where you came back as the final boss.

oikawa worked as hard or even harder sometimes than most other people and deserved to win way more than he actually did. He made mistakes out of anger and overwhelming emotions, but I love how he was written that way, because real people do that all the time too. He’s not a perfect character nor a one-sided one, but I think that just makes him all the more realistic.

you were in the same dance class when you were younger

so you were friends way before either of your debuts

like when you knew each other when he was an smrookie

and of course, both of you being talented dancers

you were both training under companies at a rather young age

and it isn’t easy being a trainee regardless of your age

but because you were both still in school

and so young

you knew you should stick together

let’s say you had chemistry homework

but you also had vocal lessons

i’m not saying he would help you

because he wouldn’t

but he would be there to motivate you 

and study his own school work 

so you weren’t alone

it’s safe to say you were each other’s motivation when it came to school

he would also insist on his mom picking you up from school and driving you to the company when your mom couldn’t

same would go reversed

not that either of your moms minded

they found it adorable

and they shipped you both anyway so

it ends with half of 127 and half of dreamies giving advice, 

the other halves teasing

and wayv cooing on the phone as they were in china at the time

it takes him like 5 months till he confesses

and when he does get the courage, 

he takes you to an amusement park

you don’t go on any of the rides

because he’s scared

but you do play the games and eat food

you even watch the fireworks

which is when he finally holds your hand for the first time

you did a lot of skinship before

like when you were friends

but it wasn’t like this 

it was cute

he was so nervous

your palms were both sweaty from nervousness

but neither of you cared

you were just happy to enjoy the moment

 that got cheesy

they watched you both grow up and now you’re getting married??

the announcement was everywhere

also you don’t announce anything about a child

one day, you just both post a picture of your daughter

with a caption like

“she’s so cute, i knew my genes were good.”

or something like that

and everyone goes wild

nation’s babies having a baby?

legend says chenle’s screaming caused 2 earthquakes that day

to sum it up: nation’s babies turned nation’s it couple because jisung is the best boyfriend you could ever have asked for 

.....i might have gone way more invested than i thought i was going to. Do i regret it tho? hell no. Am i emotional now because I pictured adult Jisung with a baby? hell yes.
