Not that anyone asked but if Gale is 35 then that makes my 25yo Tav Dani a decade younger than him

It is my personal headcanon that she doesn’t find out his age until after they’re consistently dating (like act 3 or thereabouts) and it doesn’t bother her, but it’s something she teases him about occasionally (i.e., “Don’t worry, darling, I’ll keep you young. At heart.” “My love, I’m not THAT old….”)

Her immediate reaction to his marriage proposal is of course smiles and tears and “YES” and so forth and she’s happy to talk about their upcoming nuptials to anyone who will listen

But it only takes a day for her to suddenly announce that while being the hero of Baldur’s Gate is fun and all, she’s got loftier goals in mind now that he has proposed

He looks at her curiously and asks, “What’s that, my love?”

She flashes her newly acquired engagement ring and strikes a little pose.

“Trophy wife.”

Gale pinches the bridge of his nose. “No.”
