It's not even so much that I don't like it as much as I feel like I shouldn't HAVE to do it. I'm pretty social and I like meeting people/talking to people (also my outfit looked so good today). It's just the like...realization that everyone in high up positions in likely EVERY industry got there in part because they were networking with other people and like, making those connections vs the actual work.

Also maybe it's baby complain hours because I like what I do. I just get frustrated sometimes watching like...unqualified people pick up these slots doing jobs they don't really understand and supervising people whose work they've never once done themselves knowing I could do it better.

So you know. blah blah blah you better work bitch.

also VERY much thinking about rewatching arcane for like, the nth time, at some point, or maybe painting something since i finally have access to my acrylic paints! it has genuinely been so long and i've missed them but i only have a bunch of little square canvases so i'm trying to figure out what to do haha. maybe now is the time to figure out how to stretch fabric and prep it for painting.... or i could go and figure out where i put all my thread and start sewing, uhhhhh, something. ig We'll See!

Luckily we weren't stuck too long! Weather here changes its mind quickly, so it showed up all of the sudden and then left all of the sudden like 40 minutes later and we could safely descend--though my dad decided it would be fun to leave his truck keys at the top of the mountain -_-

And ooo thank you for the recipe! I have most of the ingredients, but not all, so I'll have to wait for the next grocery trip to get everything should I try them. I think my mom would enjoy those the most, so perhaps I'll make them for her :)

ALSO!! I started an arcane rewatch a while back but never finished it and I keep thinking. About starting again. Because i love Arcane so so much. If only we could coordinate our efforts and rewatch it together--surely there's something on the internet for that, what's the app? Netflix party or something?

I hope you have fun with your paints though!! I must admit I've never been a big fan of acrylic, too thick and opaque and fast drying for me. Watercolor bitch forever and ever here <3/ But! People who know how to work with acrylics are truly incredible, and I can't wait to see what you create! Whether on your own stretched canvasses or not! It would be cool to know, but watercolor doesn't really need that so it's never been a serious consideration in my mind

However! I do like sewing, I've got like all the sewing stuff in the house in my room. Including the machine, it's beside my desk. Quite the pile of things, but I'm never quite sure what to make.

Happy Halloween! I ended up going quite simple with my costume this year, mostly because I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do (the weather has been up and down all month) -- and while trying to decide if I wanted to reuse an old costume of an explorer with shorts, I noticed this Doc Brown shirt that I got a few Christmas/birthdays ago that I hadn’t really gotten a chance to wear and thought, “Huh -- maybe I could do something with that?” That something ended up being a BTTF: The Ride employee costume, as they also wore that same kind of shirt when The Ride was in operation! (Also I didn’t have a Doc wig handy and didn’t want to deal with piling my rather long hair underneath it.)

So yeah, kind of a “closet cosplay” this one -- the pants are a pair of my work pants, and I have my white “fang-tastic” t-shirt on underneath the Doc shirt. The ID badge is something Mom and I found online (picture from an eBay auction of a fake Institute of Future Technology employee badge) and printed out -- Mom colored in the logo and did the stripey background to add a bit of color as our printer only does black-and-white. Oh, and the purple shades are ones I got ages ago, and that I felt were kind of BTTF-y in looks. :) A simple costume, but a fun one -- I quite enjoyed finally getting to wear that shirt for a day! :D
