what is chase like in wcau? is he just like. an immigrant from shadowclan or something. like yellowfang? or a kittypet? or maybe he's just straight up a dog. like amber. i love amber being a dog.

(mgv) did the adopted ducklings feel neglected or rejected or abandoned and all those other older sibling feels when gisele was born? i think they'd all be mature adults about it but i can picture chase being a bit sad like oh :( what if i'm abandoned like my father did :( because his parental issues are astounding.

2. chase -- robinchaser -- was born in plainsclan but he still has an accent that house makes fun of him for. cameron is also plainsclan born and foreman is a former rogue (a city cat) who joined simply bc he's more likely to survive in a group than alone

3. i think..... thirteen wouldn't be half as miffed as chase because she's, you know, more well adjusted, but both do get some measure of insecurity after giselle's birth. but very soon after, like house isn't even discharged yet, she was pulled into house's hospital nest for him to coddle and expend fresh new hormonal urges on because giselle had been taken to go be cleaned up or have footprints taken or whatever. after that she's pretty cool about it. ON THE OTHER HAND there's chase who needs much MUCH more reassurance. not that he'd ever hurt a pup but he's constantly warring with the urge to resent giselle for being a beacon of house's attention. house sniffs this distress out quick. they're alone in a storeroom when chase finally spits it out. "it's stupid, i know. you don't have to tell me because i know it is. i'm not your pup, she is, i'm just some guy you hired years ago because my dad-- my actual dad, not-- because a phone call. i'm not..." and he stops, hot with shame and embarrassment, eyes to the floor. then there's a hand in his hair, petting and pulling him forward until his forehead rests on house's shoulder. "you are." it's all house says before he kicks up a low purr, and chase can pick up his scent clearer now that he's closer. somehow he manages to not cry too horribly. proud of you/i'm sorry/you're mine/thank you
