Omg! I lowkey kinda binged all of your KorraxReader stories lol! I was wondering if you can write about Korra and the reader having a daughter (pregnant + birth if that’s okay with you ;)). Idk how to describe it but the spirits somehow allowed reader to become pregnant with Korras child and Tenzin confirming that it’s possible because it happened to Kyoshi and Rangi.
،، 𝓐 Glimpse of Us ; Korra
request guide | masterlist
resume: where the spirits gave you the best gift you could ask for.
content warning: domestic ; fluff ; Korra x fem!reader ; the whole fic is about pregnancy !! ; tw for vomit ; ephemeral mention of sex ; no nation nor bending status mentioned ; no use of y/n
wc: 3.6k
a/n: hi darling!!! im glad u like my fics akdhsj the partner cravings, heartburn and belly shapes are just superstition/beliefs I know around pregnancy because in my country is believed to be true and I wanted to share because I love the those ideas <3 this one was definitely one of my favorites to write, i love domestic fics <3 THANK YOU FOR REQUESTING, ENJOY:D
“ I will be protect you from all around you, I will be here, don't you cry.
Sitting beside the ceramic seat, you were almost laying down with one hand over your stomach after throwing up everything you had in, you were sure even your ideas got mixed with the vomit.
Something you ate had fucked with your stomach, you thought, but what could it be? All the foods you ingest that week were homemade, maybe the strawberry candies Korra had brought?
“My spirits, you look like you saw a ghost.” your partners voice got your attention. “Here, I bought an electrolyte and I'm making a soup for you to eat... I think we should go to the doctor.”
You shook your hand, straightening back up and taking the bottle on your shaky palms. “I'm okay, something just...” you shut yourself up and opened again the toilet to keep returning the last pieces you had on your stomach, the girl's hands held your hair.
It was safe to say after staying another three minutes in the bathroom, Korra took you to the doctor against your will. At first they said it could be a stomach flu since there was an epidemic going on about it, but he wanted to make sure by examining you.
When you described your symptoms, you saw an eyebrow raised your way and the pen was quick to write down. The doctor had asked you to do some exams to be sure, hours had gone by and Korra was sat by your side holding your hand at the waiting area.
“Maybe this is a sign for me to stop buying you sweets.” she joked to break the silence, you looked at her funny.
“On the contrary, I'm sure it's a sign that you don't buy me enough sweets.” your eyebrow was raised and she giggled.
She was about to attack again when the doctor coming in asking you to step in their office cut her off. Once they saw you settle in the seats, a couple of papers where brought up. “Okay, the results just came in and what I suspected was confirmed.” hands held together, the doctor's gaze was on you now. “Congratulations, ma'am, you're expecting.”
Any and all traces of calm smiles were dropped from both faces, Korra's gaze showed confusion your way while yours was uncertain, a mix of panic and confusion.
“Wh– okay, wait, are you sure?” you asked however you could formulate. “Is this even my record? Didn’t you confuse me with someone else?”
The professional read your name out loud on the folder, you nodded. “Then it is you, miss, I would recommend you to start looking for a obstetrician or a doula, is really up to your comfort...” you zoned out, not being able to hear the rest.
The walk back home, both Korra and you were quiet trying to digest what just happened, walking one beside the other. At half of the trail, you stopped the girl with your hand on her arm.
“I didn’t cheat, I swear.” you were quick to clarify, bitting the inside of your cheek, she blinked surprised.
“Darling, I know... We spend like twenty-five of the twenty-four hours of the day together.” her eyes softened and took your hands. A small sigh left her lips. “I just... I don't get it...”
“Fingers do get you pregnant.” you joked, feeling your face a bit warmer and Korra giggled.
“If that was the case I'm sure we should have at least a football team by now.” she smiled flirty. Now you felt your face hot, you pushed her softly. “...Do you think maybe Tenzin can help us?”
After a shrug from you, the avatar made the way for you two to go at the Air Temple Island to pay a visit to the master.
Upon arriving, everyone welcomed the two of you with open arms and excitement to see you. Korra asked the older man for a private conversation as it was important, when the three of you were alone she explained the whole situation to the man and even when both thought that he was going to think you two were crazy, his face stood calmed, a bit surprised by the end.
“I see...” you took Korra's hand in yours, nervous. “Listen, kids, it's not the most common thing, but this had happened before.”
A wave of relief washed over you, thanking the universe at least maybe you had references from the past to understand this whole situation.
“How so?” the avatar asked, frowning a little bit.
“Back at avatar Kyoshi's times, the spirits gifted her and her partner, Rangi, the opportunity to be mothers,” he began, you frowned a little bit. “It was... They conceived a child with their features, a biological child.”
Your eyes shot at Korra, she was already looking your way with excitement shining in her gaze. Her hand squeeze yours and she smiled. Tenzin smiled fondly at the two of you.
“All I can say now is congratulations, girls.” he finished walking up to you two and hugging both. “I know you will be such great mothers to this fortunate child.”
After that visit and staying over for dinner, you two went back home with a bunch of tips and stuff Pema had given you for the journey the second she stopped hugging you so tight, happy about the news.
You still felt a bit confused at the whole situation, by the time you lay besides Korra at bed, she hold you close.
“Mothers... Can you believe it?” you asked looking back at her, she opened one of her eyes and then both of them.
“It feels surreal.” she answered, her free hand moved a strand of hair out of your face. “A weird gift from the spirits, but if it's with the love of my life I know it was the best decision made.”
You stood up a bit to exchange a sweet kiss with the girl. “We need to start moving our ass if we want to be ready on time for when our child gets here.” you whispered on her lips, she smiled.
“I love how that sounds, our child.” now her arms hugged your neck to pull you back on top of her.
The next weeks, Korra and you started to look up for the most important things you needed at the early stage of the pregnancy. A doula was contacted and named the family's, you bought books on pregnancy and started to buy things to make a nursery on one of the guest rooms in your house.
The first trimester the one that suffered the cravings was all Korra, you remembered reading a book on how in some pregnancies the person carrying the child wasn't the one with cravings, but their partner and when that fragment popped up in your memory you found yourself giggling while Korra was eating fire flakes with a sweet sauce, she looked at you confused.
Your belly wasn’t showing much at the first half of the trimester, but you were amaze at how a tiny group of cells were taking such toll on you. You found yourself tired most of the time, always napping when you had the chance, there were foods you couldn't stand even smelling, you hated that part so much because of the nausea you were experimenting half of the time.
“My boobs hurt.” you said one night preparing for bed, pouting a little bit.
“Want me to give you massage?” the girl's eyebrows played before giggling.
“You just ate fire flakes, I'm not letting you touch me with those fingers.” Korra let out an offended sound, you laughed with closed eyes. “Let's sleep, my three hours nap didn't work.”
By the beginning of your second trimester, you felt changes; you passed from being tired all the time to being active shopping stuff for the baby, almost as if you weren't fatigued a week prior.
“That's my little strawberry,” Korra was talking to your belly while you were laying down looking fondly at her. It was beginning to be a tradition for her to talk to the baby every night before going to sleep. She also had started to call the baby strawberry after remembering how you two blamed the candies with said flavor she bought for your sickness. “We're so excited to meet you, baby, you have no idea what we just bought for you.”
You giggled. “And what your uncles will buy you when they learn about you.”
Before the beginning of your fourth month, Korra and you came to an agreement of not saying anything to your friends for a little bit while you got settle with the important details and thankfully your baby was also part of the agreement by not showing much, you also were grateful with the fact that the clothes you used was a bit more loose from your shape.
You two hosted a dinner for the group as a way to announce the news to them and after eating and chatting for a little while, Korra broke the news to them with the whole explanation following. The three had such surprised expression that it was funny looking, but after some questions and giving them time to assimilate the situation, they were quick to hug both.
“That baby will have the best uncles and aunt in the world.” Mako said, pulling away from you, you smiled and nodded teary-eyed by the mix of hormones and the situation.
“Do you have names? Oh! Can I suggest? Bolin is such a strong name.” the earthbender said, making you all laugh a bit.
“This is so sudden, I'm so glad you told us! I will finally be the rich aunt.” Asami talked now, you hugged her with a smile.
After that announcement, Korra had made a letter to send to her parents writing exactly what she said to her friends and the context. Saying how she was excited for this new chapter in her life, how they would be the best grandparents and telling them you two would visit after the baby was born for them to meet; the two southerners sent back a letter congratulating and some of Korra's toys and clothes from when she was a baby along with a necklace from the water tribe.
The changes you felt were a lot, but you were so grateful to have Korra by your side in the whole journey to comfort you those nights you couldn’t sleep because your hormones were making you feel bad or because you had a lot of heartburn that was impossible for you to lay down for more than one minute
“You know, my grandmother used to say that when you were feeling heartburn during your pregnancy was because the baby would born with a lot of hair.” she said one night, at the end of your second trimester while leaving circular caresses on your back, you had a grimace on your face.
“I would love for the baby to born with a lot of hair, but this is ridiculous, I hate it.” Korra hugged you with a tiny smile, leaving you a kiss on your head.
At the end of your fifth month, your belly had grown big enough for anyone to tell that you were heavily expecting, it was getting harder to breath normally and one day you finally were able to feel your baby.
The first communication your tiny person had with you was while you two were preparing the nursery with a cradle, a changer, a rocking chair and the toys for the baby.
“Holy fuck,” you said under your breath, both hands now resting on your belly. Korra got close quickly. “No way.”
“Are you okay? What happened?” no verbal answer was given, your hand took one of hers and left it resting on your belly. “Honey, what...?”
Korra's voice got quieter when a soft kick was felt under her palm, teary-eyed she looked at you. The baby was starting to kick, you took it as a way for them to greet you. Tearing up a little bit, Korra left a kiss on your lips, excited.
Midway your last trimester, your back was starting to hurt and your feet were swollen all the time, adding how now you got tired so easily since you had difficulty with breathing as normal.
“Tenzin told me I could do something to help you with your back pain,” the southerner talked walking to you and getting behind. Both hands cupped your belly, you were confused. “Ready?”
You nodded, with a slight frown. With all the caution in the world, Korra picked up your belly; in the act, she was picking the baby, you felt instant relief when at the feeling of less weight on your back to the point where you sighed and melted in her arms, the avatar giggled before leaving a kiss on your cheek.
“Thanks to the universe for Tenzin,” you said, you felt so good. “How did he learn about it?”
“When Pema was expecting Ikki her back pain didn't allow her to sleep well and he simply tried it one time she was standing and thought that maybe if he picked up her belly a little bit she would rest for at least some moments.” your head nodded, it made sense for them to have the best tips on pregnancy after four kids.
By the middle of the last month, everyone reunited a last time before you got into labor to celebrate the new baby coming to the world. A small reunion with your closest friends, food and some anecdotes, a couple brought gifts for the baby even if you two insisted it wasn’t necessary, but thank them afterwards.
“I think it's going to be a boy.” Mako said, taking a seat with his plate of food.
“It's going to be a girl, look at her belly,” Pema counterattacked, sure of her answer. “It's round. You know what they say, round belly is a girl, low belly is a boy.”
You giggled and turned your gaze to your now big belly, small caresses were left by your hand. “It doesn't really matter, we're going love them either way.”
“Yeah, as long as they're healthy we'll be good.” Korra backed you up, sitting next to you and handing a plate of food. “Strawberry will be the happiest child.”
A couple of minutes after they all left, Korra and you were picking everything up. Well, Korra was, you tried to help and she had scolded you saying that you should just relax and not worry about anything.
“Korra, it's okay, I won't break water just for picking some cups.” you laughed, walking to the sink.
“No, but I don’t want you to do anything either, being pregnant with our kid is enough.” she spoke while washing the dishes, when her blue eyes looked for you and spotted you standing still in the middle of the living room, she frowned. “Did you drop something?”
Your eyes were looking at the water puddle you just made, after some minutes of silence, you turned slowly to your partner. “Don't be mad... My water did break.”
Plates and cups made noise when they dropped from the avatar's hands, drying them she run your way. “What!? Oh my fucking spirits, okay, let's stay calm, we are prepared for this.”
Still standing, a pain assimilating a cramp started to make appearance on your body, making you shut your eyes ans grunt a bit. “Honey...”
“Wait, no, fuck, I forgot where is the birth bag!” the southerner started to run in circles on the house. “Where's the doula's number!?”
“Love..” you tried to talk, you felt out of breath at such pain extending all over your lower body.
“I think I'm lightheaded,” she stopped on her tracks. “Where's the bag!?”
“Korra!” you screamed when the contraction stopped, she looked at you astonished. “We first go to the hospital and there we call the doula, the number is on the bag which is at the entrance.”
She nodded with a worry look, you extended your hands asking for help and she was quick to take them. Helping you to walk out of the house to the car Asami had sell you two, Korra walked at your speed, leaving strokes on your back and saying courageous words.
After that tiny panic reaction, the avatar focused in being your support during birth. Even if she didn't drive that well, Korra managed to get both of you to the hospital once she made sure everything was on the bag. She registered you and made the call while you were getting checked up. When everything was settle she sat besides you taking your hand for support and always attentive at you.
“This is happening.” she said, cleaning sweat from your forehead. “This is really happening, holy shit.”
She heard a sob coming from you and panic took over.
“Are you okay, baby? Do you want me to call a nurse?” she asked quickly, looking up to see if she could catch any on the way. You pulled her a bit and when she saw you, you shook your head.
“I don't think I'm ready,” you whispered, embarrassed. How come you would say that until now? “I'm scared.”
Your partner smiled with warmth and left a soft kiss on your forehead. “I'm scared too, baby... But I know we're going to be great mothers, we have the best support circle with us, you can do this, my love, I know it.”
Your frown raised a bit while a weak smile showed on your face. “I love you so m–” a grunt vibrated on your throat making you stop talking and squeeze her hand.
Even when the avatar was strong and she could handle pain, the squeeze felt a bit too much. “Oh, wow, that was a big one, huh?”
“Mh–mh,” you shook your head and found the way to talk. “It's coming, I'm sure it's coming now.”
And that was enough to make Korra call for help. Once the doula was in the room, everything else happened a bit quicker.
While you were pushing, you had the southerner by your side cheering on you and cleaning the sweat on your face, her eyes traveled from you to the professional and back to you. The last minutes felt like hours to both of you, but the sound of crying washed over relief on the both of you; with tears in the eyes, your partner was handed the tiny bulk in a blanket.
“Congratulations on the girl, moms.” the doula said with a big smile, Korra's eyes widened and shot to you. Between tears, you giggled.
Your arms stretch to her asking for the baby and when you had her in your arms, it felt like you finally were complete. Accomodating the tiny human in your arms, you could see Korra's hair color in her and it made you laugh a little bit.
“She's beautiful,” the avatar said looking at the baby from your side. A kiss was left on your head. “Thank you, love, for our child.”
Bright eyes looked up to her and smiled, exchanging a sweet kiss before turning back to the newborn when she cried again. When she opened her eyes after she was cleaned up and brought back to you at birth, iced color orbs sparkle at you and from that moment you had a feeling she was going to be Korra's copy, and you weren't wrong.
As the baby grew, the avatar's features started to show. She had the same skin tone, face form, hair color, nose type and even her personality, you would always joke to her about how you just birthed a mini Korra when the two of them did something similar at the same time. The first month with the baby had been such a challenge with the sleepless nights and how you always resorted to Pema when you two needed help with the baby. But you were sure all was worth it when you saw Korra play with her and make her laugh with the southerner's actions, you were so grateful for your family.
Visiting the avatar's parents after the baby turned one month old, Senna was the most excited one to see her granddaughter.
“Oh, my spirits! She looks just like Korra when she was a baby!” she exclaimed excited while her eyes were delighted at seeing your first-born in her tiny water tribe outfit they sent, you smiled proudly and turned to the mentioned.
“I told you, she's your twin.” the southerner rested an arm on your shoulders, bringing you closer while she shook her head laughing.
“What's her name?” Tonraq now asked while playing with the baby, making faces behind Senna.
“Strawberry.” his daughter answer, you sighed shaking your head.
“Her name is Yui.” you said, your arms hugging your partner's waist.
“It's the same, Yui means strawberry!” she defend, you nodded a little bit just to let her have her win and a laugh was heard from the baby making everyone melt in love for her.

Okay, I am gonna ask on the Beifong sisters. Suyin und Lin!
Oooh, the Beifong sisters! I would totally watch a spin-off with nothing but Beifong drama. That's how much I love this family, warts and all precisely because in their imperfections they're so fascinating. @mikaharuka also wanted to know about them so let's begin with the elder, dutiful sister, the one and only Chief Lin "that lady is my hero" Beifong and I'll get to Su in a separate post.
1. sexuality headcanon
Besides being a workaholic and married to her job, I believe Lin is queer (undefined but definitely not straight) and demiromantic.
2: otp
OTP for Lin? Lin/happiness. Although I enjoy Kyalin, I don’t really have a strong OTP for her but I want her to live her best life with whoever she chooses. I’ve seen her shipped with a lot of characters and it’s funny how she’s been paired with both of Tenzin’s siblings. One ship I admit I find intriguing is one that I stumbled upon through a fanart and it’s Lin/Iroh II and honestly, I can see it work. Yeah, she’s older than him but it’s about the same age difference as the canonical Tenzin/Pema. Besides. Lin is hot and she definitely doesn’t move or look like a woman in her fifties so age ain’t nothing but a number here. I can get behind cougar Lin 😉
3: brotp
Mako. Although she still has a good relationship with her old flame Tenzin, I believe Mako is the closest to a BROTP for her. I’ve seen Lin romantically paired with Mako but personally, I prefer the “momboss and detectiveson” dynamic for them. They just understand each other well since they’re both the oldest children and they had to carry the burden of responsibility early in their lives. I also like to think that she could be a great mentor and friend to Kuvira and I love the idea of the two of them sharing drinks while spilling the beans about Suyin.
4: notp
Although I like the enemies to friends to lovers dynamic, I don’t see her with Tarrloq.
5: first headcanon that pops into my head
The reason Lin and Tenzin spent a lot of time together growing up is Aang, since he was for all intents and purposes, Lin and Su’s main father figure. Like Tenzin once noted, “my father and Lin got along famously.” After training with Tenzin, he would take some time to practice earthbending with the Beifong girls and Lin admitted that Aang made learning more fun that her mom. It took her a long time to recover from Aang’s demise so part of her initial skepticism toward Korra is the fact that it reminded her that Aang was gone and this chaotic energetic girl was his successor.
6. favorite line from this character
This gem 🤣
7: one way in which I relate to this character
I can relate to her in the way she shows how she cares through actions and not words.
8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character
She definitely needs to improve the recruitment standards for the RCPD because the detective pair from Book 2 were painfully mediocre at best and it hurts to see them associated with her.
9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave?
She’s a grumpy, gruff cinnamon roll.

(and I hc Rohan is a rainbow baby soooo)- 😭 ooh I would love to hear some elaboration on this
It’s very late for me (almost midnight) so I’m gonna do my best to explain!!
I think the Pemzin timeline is Only about 10 years before the start of show. I think they got married beginning of year had Jinorra by the end of the year. So I do think they got pregnant right away!
Ikki is 7. Start of show. And Meelo is 5. That’s ~2-3 years between each makes sense gives Pema more than enough time to heal and raise the kids so they don’t have seven toddlers running around. It’s the average age gap between kids in large families like this one.
Rohan is Born End of Book 1. That’s 5 probably closer to 6 years between him and Meelo.
Why the sudden gap?
Why suddenly wait when we don’t see any interaction with Pema from Tenzin that is not explicitly about the baby? (Leading to more than a few assumptions about their relationship)
I think she was pregnant when Meelo was ~2 but they ended up losing the pregnancy. Not sure why or how but there was a baby, confirmed a baby, and then it didn’t happen.
Hence why Tenzin is always telling her to be careful.
Hence why the First Thing Katara did when she saw Pema was check her health a the health of the baby.
Also why Pema didn’t want to worry Tenzin about pain she was feeling in her stomach during Amons attack on the city.
- She was so worried she lied to Asami and didn’t tell the other acolytes. If we assume my hc she probably thought she was having another miscarriage in the middle of this very stressful time and was either denying it or accepted she was going to end up somewhere on the island having a very much not fun late term miscarriage.
- to Defend This Point. I dont think we are ever told how far along she is?? Rohan could have been born prematurely by a month or so given the stress Amon’s war put on Pema by threatening her children and Husband. So if she wasn’t expecting him to be coming early. She could mistake the labor pains for the other worser kinds of pains.
Meelo has a line in some of the final episodes of “A brother! Well it’s about time!” He’s too young to understand everything yet and it’s probably a throw away line about him being the only boy but Still. The sting.
I hope this is what you were wanting!!
It’s just a little Flavor HC for Pema because she’s a really cool character that you can go a Lot of different ways with because she’s Given NOTHING other than Bolin so succinctly saying “The Put Upon Mom” in his list of wacky family ((((in Book 3 I believe))))
#anon ask#hc#tw miscarriage#also growing up I saw a Lot of -always having babies- families#if there’s an age gap#it was because of a loss of pregnancy#or a severe illness#like oh yeah between Jill and John Sally had cancer so she was in chemo and couldn’t get pregnant#but once that was cleared up we were able to keep going and John was born!

Pema is Tenzin's sugar baby, nothing wrong with that, if it wasn't because he was definitely a predating on her (weeew)
//What makes you think he was predating on her? I'd like to understand more about this.
When I research what a predator looks like in a relationship, these are the key features of the predator that I've found: they're controling, they are sexually exploitative, they isolate their partner, they gaslight, and there's a general sense of harm.
I can see someone trying to make claims of sexual exploitation on Tenzin's part, but the thing is, if the sexual desire and want for children is mutual between partners then it's not exploitation. And I believe Pemzin relationship is mutual. The other thing I see on the list is that some people use against Tenzin's character is him possibly being controling. And I can see a case for that. He's very protective of his family; there's no arguing that. I can see that developing into being overly controling. But Pema seems to keep it in check, refering specifcally to her commenting "I'm not helpless," and her telling Tenzin Korra needs space when he's being overbearing and controling over her. She stands her ground, and doesn't let Tenzin's behavior develop into something worse.
Most importantly, in a predatory relationship there's a sense of harm and abuse. I don't see that in Pemzin. What I do see is mutual love and respect for each other. They support each other and bring out the best in each other. And while everybody has flaws that can turn unhealthy if not kept in balance, Tenzin doesn't match the criteria for a predator.
As for the sugar baby/daddy thing, I don't see the foundation of their relationship being based on that behavior, but I can see that happing for mutual fun and enjoyment at times. And I assume we're not talking about Tenzin having lots of money and Pema mooching off of that, because part of the monk lifestyle is relying on the generosity of others rather than dealing with money. I don't know if this is the case for Pemzin and their lifestyle, but I'm sure they would want to live as closely to the traditional monk practices as reasonably possible.
Besides being in love with each other, there's a lot of logical, healthy reasons for Tenzin to be with Pema that don't have anything to do with predating or sugaring, especially when you consider Tenzin's situation beforehand. Pema's everything he needs and wants in a partner. They have mutual asparations and lifestyles. She's supportive and is there for Tenzin in a way that Lin just couldn't be despite her best efforts. Pema's everything -- and I mean everything he could want and need in a partner. The whole check list is marked off and more when it comes to Pema. How can he say no to that?
I wish that the age gap wasn't so big, but it happens that way sometimes. (A friend of mine is in this situation and she's never been happier.) The important thing is they were both adults and beyond their teenage years when they made that decision.

for linxzekou plssss
sfw 3, 4, 5
nswf: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9
Firstly, thank you so much for asking about my OC! Literally makes my day that you guys care so much🥺🥺
SFW:
3) Arguments headcanon:
I think their arguments often start off with something silly like Lin working too hard or Zek trying to do something nice that inadvertently goes awry. With them, unfortunately, their arguments can make mountains out of molehills, and given the current plot of Soul, Tenzin is a very strong contender in the calamity that's going to turn out of their relationship.
4) Playful/silly headcanon
Zek loves playing with Lin's hair. When she's lying in bed, half asleep, half planning her next day, Zek runs his fingers through her head, petting her slowly into slumber. Lin loves when he does this, but doesn't ever let him know how she tries to resist sleep just to enjoy his touch. He thinks her hair is soft, and he can't stop himself from loving her in his silly little way.
5) Night in headcanon
A night in typically involves cooking together, eating with some spunky jazz music playing in the background followed by dessert while listening to the probending match on the radio. They curl up together on the couch, Zek's fingers threading through her hair until she falls asleep in front of the warmth of the fireplace and the embrace of a firebender. He gives her a soft kiss on her cheek and whispers, "Bed?" and she simply hums in response as he carries her in, and together, they cuddle up under the sheets.
NSFW:
1) Positions/locations headcanon:
Zek absolutely loves holding Lin. His favorite position is sideways, with Lin's back against him so he has all the control in thrusting as well as drawing her closer and closer into his body. Lin likes to get on top of his lap for a ride while he's sitting with the newspaper or so. Naturally, the newspaper ends up on the floor, and Zek, on cloud nine.
Considering they only ever meet after their 50s, they aren't big on exciting locations as such. Between their bedroom, the couch, and the occasional passion-fueled rendezvous on the kitchen counter, they haven't quite had the need to look around for locations.
3) Favourite kinks/fantasies/toys:
Shibari? I'm only saying that because Zek's the captain of the ship and knows all the 1249082034802 different ways of tying a knot lmao. I think the use of bending may be a slightly prevalent feature of their sex life. Warm hands and metallic handcuffs make a good pairing. I'm not sure what kinda toys exist in the atla-verse during this time but I would say the equivalent of a vibrator may be invited to Lin and Zek's private parties.
5) Public play headcanon:
Oh, they're not into any kind of PDA. The last thing Lin wants is attention from the media for the wrong reasons or having her romantic life on full blast again so they keep a low profile. Zek respects this about her and makes sure to ensure privacy anytime they're heading out. With that being said, I doubt they engage in anything salacious in public, unless Lin has done a perimeter check using her seismic sense when the city is evacuated lol. Zek believes that they don't need that kinda excitement because their sex life is great as is, and would rather show her the best time in the privacy of their home than risk something out in the open.
7) Foreplay/turn-ons headcanon:
For Lin, massages are a huge turn-on. When Zek brings his warm hands on her shoulder, it's either going to relax her to sleep or have her fully ravage him in thanks. Zek likes to unravel her slowly: he's a gentleman like that, 'ladies first'. Kissing is a huge part of their foreplay since they're both great kissers and it quickly turns into a competition on who's going to have the other come undone with just their lips. Oral sex is also a huge plus. Zek loves giving more than receiving and Lin, well, Lin doesn't mind his preferences😉. Zek's scent is a huge turn-on for Lin and Lin's bare legs are a huge turn-on for Zek.
9) Who teases the other? Who’s more impatient? Who usually initiates?
Ugh this one's hard. I would say Zek's the one to initiate it with his "Oh honey, you look tired let me give you a little shoulder rub." He knows it's a hit or a miss, even though that's not always his intention. But then again, Lin's the one who turns her massage session into a sex and Zekou is just more than happy to comply. Oftentimes, Zek likes to tease her down there with his tongue, edging her along while she's looking for a release. In this circumstance, Zek's a tease and Lin's impatient, but when she's dressed up all sexy and pristine with buttons and bows and laces galore, Zek is wildly impatient and Lin enjoys watching her man all hot and bothered over lingerie.
Ask me about my headcanons!

Hmmmm I have thoughts.
First of all LoK is directed mostly from korra’s/the krew’s pov. Adults are making decisions, they don’t have all the information and it’s teenagers/young adults making their way in the world.
That being said some of the adult characters that Don’t Interact with the Krew that much get lost in the background. Like Pemas got NO characterization until b3 and b4. Bumi is the goofy uncle and that’s it other than a throw away line about cannibals. Kya doesn’t get any characterization until the comics lmao. So the side character adults get sidelined Hard. Other than Tenzin because he is
A - Korras teacher/mentor
And
B - Aang’s only air bending child (both siblings and even Katara gets ooc and sidelined because of this)
Lin’s pigeonholed into the grumpy good guy. So the Krew don’t know anything about her. Nothing is really explored so there’s nothing saying she’s single. The Krew just don’t know.
Also I feel like after b1 Lin and tenzin would have talked a few things out because it seemed they weren’t on the same page until then. The entire Southern Outpost recovery period was skipped over. 6 months and we don’t know how long they were without their elements during that time. Lin was clearly there. So I’m sure they talked.
And I believe Lin and Tenzin’s relationship goes Way Beyond their dating life. I think they grew up together on ATI raised by the acolytes and Aang and Katara. Aang grew up with all the other kids in his community it was normal. Of course he would love to have Tophs kids over every chance they had. So they had a solid friendship to build things off from and go back to after the breakup. So Lin didn’t just lose her possibly long term boyfriend. She lost her childhood best friend. Someone she’s literally never lived without and tenzin was one year old when she was born so he wouldn’t remember a time without her too. I think that’s where the majority of the continued hurt lies. I’ve talked about this before too.
They need to talk it out because we see in the show tenzin is awkward as fuckkk and avoids hard conversations with family. But he’s not above admitting he was wrong or that something didn’t happen the way they hoped it would. So a good conversation between Tenzin and Lin and I think they could go back to being friends. And they seem to be back to that in b3.
As for pema and the kids we see Lin interact with the kids some in the show and they seem to be alright with eachother. It’s mostly meelo I think we see her talking to directly. But he’s a hellion. And for pema I think pema has a very slanted view of Lin and that may get better in time (especially given Lin’s actions in b1) but it’s probably pema who’s not open to a relationship and Lin won’t push anyone to be apart of her life.
Now for the whole “they broke up for nothing” that’s an extreeeemly Lin focused take and kindof a backhanded one too honestly. I don’t think tenzin would trade his kids for anything and I have to agree with him. I also don’t think Lin would ask him to trade his kids. And I don’t think it’s fair to put that on her Given she did everything she could throughout the show to protect those kids.
The grief of what could have been is over a decade old by b3 and it may have come up. Thats a very normal reaction but I think it would be quickly dismissed because How The Fuck were they supposed to know at the time the new Teenaged Avatar would rip the spirit world - that had been sealed for 10 thousand years - open and then ~something about the spirits~ would randomly even out the number of benders of each element. It doesn’t make sense In Show you can’t blame them for making decisions based in the fact of the time.
And the creators of the show have said that Lin didn’t want kids. Not that she couldn’t have them. But I know when it’s not in the show we can take and leave as we please lol no worries.
TLDR: “broke up for nothing” is a harsh Lin sided take that I don’t think she would agree with. Lin didn’t want kids not couldn’t have kids. Lin and Tenzin’s relationship as childhood friends is strong and they will be good friends again.
ALSO SIDE NOTE: Harmonic convergence was dumb and doesn’t make sense in universe and I’d have much rather seen a lion turtle offer the air element to the Acolytes.
Just thinking about how Lin and Tenzin broke up because he needed to have kids for the Air Nation and she didn't and then a few years later the airbenders came back on their own anyway. Like imagine how that felt for both of them but especially Lin. To know that the major reason your long term relationship failed ended up not even being valid after a while (and its a good thing don't get me wrong I love the airbenders but that has to sting)

Crushed Hopes (Angstpril 2022, Day 29)
Rohan woke up before dawn. Today would be his first time in the Family Bending Tournament. He reached under his bed to take out his clothes so he could get dressed in the bathroom and not wake up Meelo. He wanted to meditate and do his exercises before his favorite person came. He wanted to be ready.
It was still a little dark outside, but that was ok. The island was quiet, and Aunt Yue was watching him. He meditated for a very long time. He counted twenty breaths before he hopped up and ran over to the training pool.
He pulled a water whip three times, and only spilled a little bit of water on himself. He only missed the chair by a little bit.
He ran his hands over the water and pictured the ice block he wanted to make. He waved his hand just like Aunt Kya did, but nothing happened the first seven times. The eighth time, he thought he felt a little something, and he wanted to go find Aunt Kya right now before that little wave melted.
“Rohan? What are you doing out here?”
Rohan jumped. He never could hear his dad coming, and he hated it.
“Nothing.”
His dad squeezed his shoulder. “Ok, it’s time for meditation anyway. Let’s go over to the-”
“I did meditation already. I did that first, like you told me to.” He looked up at his dad, only to see a frown on his face.
“I did! I counted to twenty, just like you said!” He frowned, confused why dad didn’t believe him.
“Rohan, where was the moon when you came outside?”
Rohan pointed, and his dad crouched down and looked along his arm. He hummed. “That was very early, son. You should have been in bed asleep.”
“But I have to practice for the games! I want to be Aunt Lin’s partner so we can beat Meelo!”
His dad made a little laughing noise.
“You know, I remember the first time Aunt Lin and I beat Uncle Bumi and Aunt Kya. We were the best team for a long time.”
“Aunt Lin is the best!”
A picture of his mother came to his mind.
“But Mom is really good, too.”
His dad gave him a kiss on the head. “They are both very good people. And they both love you. Go inside and tell everyone I’m waiting in the pavilion.”
**
Lin chatted with Kya and Bumi as the kids milled around, waiting for Katara to come out with the vase of tokens. The youngsters were lounging. The children were practically buzzing. Tenzin had told them about Rohan being up before the sun to practice, but Lin had the sense that he didn’t tell them the full story.
“Gran-Gran’s here!” Meelo shouted.
Katara walked out with a large black jug. Everyone gathered around, and drew a pai sho tile.
“Ok, everyone, show your tokens. Find your partners.”
Everyone held out their tiles. Lin’s eyes fell on Rohan, who was floating almost as if he was on an air scooter. He looked up at her with a big grin on his face. “I’m going to be on your team, Aunt Lin!”
She smiled, showed him her knotweed tile, and watched him look at his token.
She saw the moment his hopes were crushed.
He threw his token down and ran away from everyone.
Before she knew it, she was chasing after him, calling for him.
He ran up to the house, and jumped into the arms of his very confused mother. Lin slowed down and trotted up to the pair. Rohan was crying loudly. Pema wrinkled her brow and tilted her head to Lin for an adult’s explanation.
“Rohan is upset because I was on a different team.”
Lin reached over to rub Rohan’s back. Her hand brushed Pema’s, and they looked at each other. Lin stiffened slightly and mumbled an apology. She patted Rohan, and turned to go.
She was surprised to feel him twist under her hand and launch himself at her. Pema staggered at the change, grabbing Lin’s elbow to keep from falling over.
Lin wrapped her arms around Rohan to keep him from falling. She looked at Pema to confirm that she was alright, too. She patted Rohan again, and said, “Rohan, you don’t have to spar if you don’t want to. I’m sure Meelo or Ikki would be glad to play on two teams.”
She felt him stiffen. He pushed and wriggled his way out of her arms, running back the way he had come. Something that sounded like “wait for me” came floating back over the breeze.
Pema laughed, and leaned her head against Lin’s shoulder. “Thank you, Lin. I was afraid I was about to have my hopes for a nap crushed.”

I mean, TOPH becoming a questionable parent because she overcompensates to try and avoid becoming like her parents is something I can actually see.
(I'm not going to lie, I originally thought that her daughter became a cop SPECIFICALLY as an act of rebellion against her mother.)
And Aang favoring his Airbending kid, even unintentionally, makes a tragic amount of sense considering his situation in canon. If he wasn't the last Airbender, that might not have been an issue.
So like. That’s why I said I /low-key/ agree with this criticism of LOK.
I completely understand why Aang and Toph would lean toward being that type of parent.
With Toph, yeah she’s compensating for her own trauma! She hated the way her parents raised her. It was a bad situation. And while she might have eventually repaired things, it was after 12 years of that bad situation, and at least two years of her being on her own with a found family and creating a life where she didn’t need them before she even /started/ to find some way to repair things. Far too late for them to really be her parents, but at least she might’ve been able to talk to them later on.
So I can absolutely see her compensating in the other direction. Giving her kids the type of freedom she wished she had and encouraging them the way she would’ve loved to get. But then pushing too hard with it. Freedom to the point of not seeming to be involved with them at all, words that are supposed to be saying ‘I believe you can do this’ but come across as pushing them to be the best.
And Aang! My boy!
Within Canon, there was so much pressure on him. On creating new Airbenders, on rebuilding what had been destroyed, on all of that. It is perfectly understandable that he would focus on the only kid to be an Airbender and teaching him everything he could. It makes sense that, in doing so, he might accidentally sideline the other two kids because while he loved Bumi and Kya just as much as Tenzin, he wasn’t the only person who could teach them about things and what he did.
Though honestly I really do think the rest of the Gaang would have smacked some sense into them at some point. Especially Zuko because he’d go ‘If your kids remind me of my childhood then maybe you should rethink what you’re doing!!”, but also just like. With Aang, if he was fucking up, Katara should’ve said something because she is his wife and mother of his children and would know better as well.
However I just....
I feel like these issues would have worked better as something /in the moment/ rather than in LOK.
By the time of LOK, Aang is dead. Even if his kids come to terms with each other and how he fucked up, he can’t really do anything to fix it other than maybe have Korra channel him and be like ‘Lol sorry guys’.
Toph is still kicking in LOK, but like. Her kids are grown ass adults. Hell, Toph has /grandchildren/ who are grown ass adults. It’s so far afterthefact that even if Lin and Suyin did work their shit out, confront Toph on how she accidentally fucked them up, and she did decide to fix things, it’s so late for her to be the mother they need and honestly who knows how much longer they’d have because while Toph is a stubborn fuck she will die eventually.
So I think that if we were going to get plots about them being not-the-best parents, I very much would’ve prefered it if we saw them struggling with it while they were alive and still raising said children. If there was time for them to bounce back.
And I think like
On the whole, I like the idea of ‘flawed yet trying to be good’ parents. I like seeing that dynamic, and how the kids are affected, and all sorts of things.
But it hits different here because this isn’t just ‘our character’s parents’. The parents are characters we saw and loved as main characters in the previous series. And we don’t want that ‘anger at parents who, even if they were good, still fucked up’ feeling aimed at them.

“The truth is that monsters are real, and ghosts are real, too. They live inside us, and sometimes they win.” — Stephen King
synopsis: tenzin asks @smitebound to infect her so that she can test out how well she’d be able to protect @shadcwstealer against any future threats. she does some horrific things, then suffers the corruption sickness.
Black, gloopy liquid is running from her eyes, nose, and ears. Every time she coughs, it splutters from her mouth. She feels like she’s been in a boxing ring fighting a whole mutant army. Is it worth it, though? Absolutely. The power she felt after Ezra infected her was... euphoric. Tenzin knows she’s powerful without his corruption, but with it? She can do so much more than anyone would ever believe she’s capable of. Anyone within a 30 meter radius can be affected by what she says, when usually the person has to hear. It’s harder to resist her — there are no unsure, stiff movements. It’s as though the person had the idea all on their own, without her needing to speak. They don’t even question why she’s doing it or how. It’s something she could get used to, but it only lasts a few hours. Then comes the sickness that she’s currently suffering.
The corruption took her over quickly. Her mind was filled with violent images, and the overwhelming need to attack. It was as though the urgent need to kill had seeped deep into her bones, making her ache for blood and tortured screams. Ezra had warned her that it would happen, even told her that she could fight it. They both laughed when their eyes met after he’d said it. Like she would ever want to resist something so beautiful. She needs to use the way the corruption takes over her mind to her advantage. Everything she’s doing is for Sunny. All she’s been able to think about since her parents were killed is her getting hurt next. If she can use the power Ezra can give her, if only for a few hours, she can fight off anyone and anything without the need to involve Victor or anyone else. She won’t have to betray the Brotherhood to protect the woman she loves.
Tenzin holds a tissue to her nose, then lays back on her bed. As her eyes drift shut, all the blood shed and chaos she’s caused is at the forefront of her mind. Flashes of violently hacked at throats, a pile of dead bodies, the loud roar of people’s screams. She’s usually so precise with her blade, meticulous with her methods of killing. Not tonight, though. Tonight she’d stabbed into jugulars, slashed at abdomens repeatedly until guts were spilling, drove knives through eyes. Every moment was savoured, every scream of fear or pain pushed her closer to the brink of complete ferality. None of the people she’d targeted deserved her wrath. They were just her test subjects. There was no thought for their families or friends. She didn’t care, and as she’s laying there in bed, she still doesn’t. “All for a good cause,” she says to herself, as though those simple words can erase all the damage she’s done.
Another mouthful of black goo is coughed into a tissue, then tossed into the wastebasket beside her bed. If she can find a way to be as powerful as she was tonight permanently, then she’ll be an unstoppable force. Even against Ezra — the very person who has let her experience his gift — she could hold her own. As much as she hates it, she knows he’s a danger to Sunny. He’s the one who murdered her parents. If she can find a way to extract the corruption from him, she could use it whenever she wants. Perhaps it can be made into an injection. One quick stab with a needle and the power would course through her whenever she needed it. The sickness after isn’t an issue, she can deal with it. If it kills her eventually, she’s okay with that. As long as she’s kept the person she loves safe, then it’s all worth it.
Picking up the phone, she dials Ezra’s number. They’re best friends, so why would he be opposed to giving her what she needs, whenever she needs it? He’s as in love with beauty of violent savagery and merciless killing as she is. Having his very own corrupted student is something she’s almost certain he won’t be able to say no to.

A Very Special Night
Hey everybody! Here’s a quick oneshot I wrote where Toph and Su help Lin get ready for her school dance, because we deserve more happy Beifongs and Lin getting the love and support from her family that she was denied in canon. Enjoy!
“So, are you nervous? You must be nervous, you’re not eating.”
Lin looked up from her plate at her sister’s words. It was true, she was nervous. Her dinner lay untouched on her plate, as her stomach was in knots.
“Eat up, baby girl. You can’t dance on an empty stomach. Well, I suppose you can, but you shouldn’t,” her mother chimed in.
“No, no, I’m not nervous. I’m just… excited, that’s all!,” she lied, something her mother picked up on immediately.
Toph’s expression shifted into one of concern.
“What’s wrong, Linny? This is a big night, you should be over the moon right now,” she wondered.
It was true, tonight was a big night. When her school at first announced that they were going to be hosting a formal, Lin decided right away that she would not be attending. She was a horrible dancer, not to mention socially awkward, and she didn’t know the first thing about getting dressed up. It wasn’t until one of her oldest and quite frankly only friends, Tenzin, had decided that he wanted to go and as his best friend she was obligated to go with him was she convinced to buy a ticket.
Lin wasn’t sure why she felt like her heart was gonna beat out of her chest when he asked her to go with him. It wasn’t like it was a date or anything. She had known Tenzin forever. This was just a friend thing, she repeated over and over again in her head, although the mantra didn’t do much to rest her fast beating heart.
“Promise you won’t laugh at me?”
“Promise,” Toph and Su assured her.
“Well, I have a dress and shoes and everything, but I’m still not really sure how I’m going to do my hair and makeup. You know I’m not good at that stuff,” she confessed, blushing.
Su perked up. “Oh, that’s easy! I can do it for you, I’m great at that stuff!”
It was true. Su had always had a keen and stylish eye that her visually challenged mother and dorky sister lacked. Maybe Lin should have felt embarrassed that her ten year old kid sister knew more about these things than herself, a girl of fifteen, but she was honestly just grateful for her help.
“Here, I can do it right now no problem,” Su offered. The sisters got up from the table and began to make their way upstairs.
“Hey, girls! Aren’t you gonna finish your dinner?,” Toph called out.
“Yeah, yeah, we will in a bit. But this is more important!,” Su shouted back from the top of the staircase.
The girls made their way to the bathroom, where Su sat Lin down on the closed toilet seat. She pulled out a hairbrush and assorted hair elastics and then plopped herself down on the edge of the bathtub behind her sister.
“So, you and Tenzin?,” she asked suggestively as she brushed out Lin’s hair.
Lin began to blush. “What about me and Tenzin?”
“Is this a date?”
Lin’s face lit up bright red. “Wh- what? No- no we’re just friends. We’re going to the dance as friends. Not a date. Why would I be going on a date with Tenzin?”
“Because you have a huge crush on him?,” Su said knowingly, as if this should have been obvious.
“No! No I don’t! Who told you that anyways?”
Su rolled her eyes. “Nobody told me, silly! I figured it out myself. You make it pretty obvious, you know.”
“No I do not! I do not make it obvious because I do not have a crush on Tenzin!”
Su sighed. It appeared she was going to have to bring in the big guns.
“Hey Mom! Does Lin have a crush on Tenzin?,” she shouted down to Toph in the kitchen.
“Su! What are you doing?,” Lin asked her sister angrily, a warning tone in her voice.
Toph laughed. “Well duh! She’s had a crush on him since she was like, what? Five? Six?”
Lin’s face was growing redder by the minute. “Mom! Why would you say that? I. Do. Not. Have. A. Crush. On. Tenzin.”
“Sorry baby girl. Deny it all you want, but your heartbeat always goes crazy for that airhead. Don’t worry, he likes you back,” Toph called up to them from the kitchen.
“What?,” Lin shrieked, although she couldn’t deny that she didn’t entirely hate the idea. She more than just not hated it. She actually… well she could actually get used to the idea. Tenzin having a crush on her.
Su giggled. “Keep still, I’m trying to do your makeup. Unless you want me to poke you in the eye with this thing,” she joked, waving the mascara wand in front of her face.
Lin rolled her eyes. “I don’t think I would mind having my eyes poked out right about now. And maybe gag me with a spoon while you’re at it.”
Five minutes and lots of eye goop later, Lin had been transformed into a thing of beauty. That’s not to say that she wasn’t already beautiful as she was, but it wasn’t as if Lin put a ton of effort into her appearance on a daily basis. She told herself that it was because she had more important things to worry about, but in reality it was mostly because she always felt as if she couldn’t really pull it off.
“Here! All done! You look absolutely gorgeous, Tenzin is going to love it,” Su told her with pride.
Lin took a look at herself in the mirror. Her sister hadn’t been lying. Her dark hair was done up in a low bun at the base of her neck with a braided crown circling her head. A blue lotus blossom poked out from behind her ear to match the shade of the shadow on her eyes. Her lips were glossy, and her cheeks blushed a faint pink.
She looked fantastic.
“Wow, Su. I don’t even know what to say. Thank you.”
“My pleasure!,” she replied with a smile.
“I’m gonna go put on my dress. How about you go downstairs and help Mom figure out the camera?”
Su gasped audibly as Lin emerged from the top of the stairs several minutes later. Her beautiful blue qipao dress perfectly matched the flower tucked behind her ear, and it made her look and feel like a star.
“How do I look?,” she asked nervously.
“Wow, Lin. You look amazing!,” Su exclaimed.
Toph walked up to where her daughter was standing and cupped her face with her hands, tracing her features softly with the tips of her fingers. She had to reach up and pull her face down to her level, as Lin had undergone quite the growth spurt within the past few years and had shot up well above her chronically short mother.
“Gorgeous. You’re gorgeous.”
Toph began to tear up a little. “I can’t believe my baby girl is all grown up. Where does the time go? It feels like just yesterday I was holding you in my arms for the very first time.”
“Yeah baby girl, where does the time go?,” Su repeated in a light mocking tone, although there was no real malice behind it.
“You’re growing up too, little miss beauty parlour,” Lin reminded her sister with a laugh, but she was interrupted by the doorbell ringing. All of a sudden, the nerves she had been keeping at bay all came flooding back to her.
“He’s here! Okay, you guys cannot embarrass me.”
Toph threw up her hands defensively. “We wouldn’t dream of it.”
“Mom, that means you can’t try and interrogate him like he’s some criminal. And Su, if you mention anything about this being a date or how I have a crush on him, I’m going to have to kill you later,” she warned her family.
“Got it. Scout’s honour,” Toph swore.
“Yeah, yeah, I got it,” Su agreed reluctantly.
Lin took a deep breath and opened up the door.
“Wow, you look fantastic!,” Tenzin exclaimed, blushing.
Lin began to blush herself. Tenzin had gotten pretty dressed up. She was surprised to see him in a suit, normally he wouldn’t be caught dead in one unless his parents forced him to.
“You look pretty good yourself,” she complimented him.
Su waggled her eyebrows suggestively behind Tenzin’s back, and Lin shot her a warning look.
“So, Tenz. Bring my daughter home in one piece, will ya? We kind of like her around here.”
“Oh yeah, of course Aunt Toph!”
Toph raised one eyebrow at him.
“Oh- uhhh- I mean- uhhhh- yes. Yes ma’am. I will do that,” he stammered.
“Good man,” Toph validated him with a nod of her head, apparently unable to resist an opportunity to take a power trip.
“Let’s take pictures, and then you guys can go have your fun,” Su giggled.
Lin rolled her eyes at her sister, but obliged to take a few cheesy photos of her and Tenzin posing together.
“Alright, we better get going or we’re going to be late,” Tenzin warned.
“Right. Okay, I’ll see you in a few hours, bye!,” she said, waving goodbye to her mother and sister.
“Have fun, kiddo! Don’t spike any punch, at least not without me there to make fun of the aftermath!”
“Bye Lin! Bye Tenzin! Have fun on your date!,” Su called out as the door slammed shut.
Lin shot a look at her sister, but it was too late. Tenzin had heard.
“D- date? Is this a date?”
Lin’s face burned bright red. “I mean- n- no. Unless you want it to be?”
Tenzin went quiet for a moment, as if he were thinking it over.
“Yes, yes I do. I do want this to be a date. But I mean, only if you want it to be.”
“I think I do.”
Tenzin’s entire face lit up, and Lin felt herself begin to grin as well. Perhaps school dances weren’t so terrible after all.

Lets talk about Korra (again)
i already made this analysis, and it was well received but i dont know, i wanna do it again. Why not right? My english is better now than was when i made that analysis so i think this one will be better written
What a way to introduce a protagonist. This line and this scene tell us everything we need to know about Korra at that time and everything she knew about herself.
In book one Korra is a 17′s old teenager who have no idea how the world, how life is outside the training center she grew up in and had been locked up since ever. So she is not only naive but have lack of social skills
Oh, and not everyone who lack’s social skills will act like Zuko and Azula okay? Korra can be confident, expressive and outgoing and still have problems when it comes to social skills. One thing dont exclude the other.
“I’m the Avatar and you gotta deal with it” did you guys notice that only for that line we can see the entire opposite on how she treat her role as avatar in comparisson with Aang? And im not here to judge because is two very different contexts.
As far as we know, Korra grew up without friends or romantic partners. Of course, she had her training partners but i believe that they are just that.
So her entarely perception of herself was around her duty as Avatar, she didnt have personal life, she barely was Korra...She was The avatar and thats that.
So she came to Republic City, it was a mess.
Its funny to see that she have no touch when it comes to simply talk to people, i guess when you grew up away from society, this happens. And yes, she is cocky and had to learn that people arent there to somewhat please her, and she learned that quicky.
Thats why the Pro Bending was important for her character, not only for training but also as means of socilization.
Now lets talk about the villains: Amon and Tarrlok
The two of them represents two differents threats to Korra. Amon represents a threat to her duty as Avatar while Tarrlok represents a threat to Korra as a person.
In episode 4 we have what i still thinks is the darker episode from TLOK. In this episode Amon ambushes Korra in the final moments... Even knowing that they did their best to make Amon’s power and control be non-sexualized as possible still...He have her down on her knews, totally helpless and he even invades Korra’s personal space by touching in her face forcing her to look at him. He didn't have to sexually touch her to violate her.
And right after, the fear in Tenzin voice when asking what happened after seeing her laying in the ground like that, and how Korra is sobing in his arms teeling him how powerless and helpless she felt. I mean...Oh, and she keeps terryfied by him until he takes her bending.
Tarrlok in the other hand doesnt do much different from his brother and started to harass Korra because he cant take ‘no’ as a answer when Korra didnt wanted to join his task force.
Whats interesting is that if it wasnt for Tarrlok harassement and maniputation, Korra wouldnt have joined his task force and wouldnt have confronted Amon and wouldn't have gone through that terrible encounter.
The thing is that Korra is caught right in the middle of a politcal power dispute over the city, something that she for sure wasnt prepare for it. And both Amon and Tarrlok woud hurt or kill her without think twice about it if that means gain power. And that was exacly what happened
Tarrlok tried to manipulate her and keep her on leash where he could, and when his tatics didnt worked anymore he alreay had a plan B. Yes that whole metal box in that cabin in the middle of nowhere was made especifically for her and maybe Tenzin if he also get in his way.
In the end Korra lost the physical battle against both but won the ethical battle also against both. She was the responsable for expose both of them as corrupted and hypocrites. But at what price? Amon was able to remove the bends of the Avatar. And without them, how could she be the Avatar?
Remember that her entirely conception of herself was built around her duty as Avatar, be the avatar. After all, everything she was, everything she'd trained so hard for, had been destroyed in minutes. Thats why i still strongly believe that she was thinking about killing herself at the end, nobodys goes all sad and crying to in front of a clifft without thinking about jumping from it.
But she, i think given up the idea and just sit and started to crying when Aang appeared and help her, giving her bendings back in one of the best scenes of the show. So after have everything solve and still managed to get the boy she was in love with, things where great and she “move on”
In that first half, Korra is unbearable. Everything she learned in Book 1 how to be more mature, less spoiled and all, was thrown in the trash and she was the same "child" of the book one only worse.
Until I stopped and realized that I was also unbearable and childish like this when I had my bad phases of anxiety and depression, as defense mechanism and keep people away. Returning to Korra, and if this way of acting of her was nothing more than this defense mechanism?
Because guess what, i dont think she “move on” from all that happened in Book One that fast, and for add more drama she discovered that was her father idea of keeping her locked up training in that training center we saw in book one and not traveling like avatars before her. No wonder she felt betrayed. And for adding even more drama, people still keep treating her like child, so she was despered for some validation. Something that she found in her uncles arms but she was betrayed by him after.
In the end, Korra again goes through a traumatic experience when she has her connection with past lives destroyed. We see how it affected her when she apologizes to Tenzin, through tears. And Tenzin, as the excellent master he is, tries to motivate her to face Vaatu again (now merged with Unalaq, her uncle) and again she saves the day even after go throught a traumatic event
In the final moments, we see the innocent decision to reconnect the world of spirits and the world of men. And we also see Korra and Mako permanently end their turbulent relationship.
Book 3 begins in a more mature, we see all the characters being presented in a more mature way and it seems that Korra now has overcome everything that has passed. We have the relationship between Korra and Asami deepening as well
In Book 3, called "Change" we have a great sacrifice from Korra. Her life goes down a notch when she decides to save the new airbenders from Zaheer and the Red Lotus, the only villain until now that really threat her life since their sole goal was to kill the avatar.
Korra won again but this time victory costed way too much. Yes she save the day again but now she was physically and psychologically defeated. It was too much, she broke.
Book 4 begins and we only saw Korra in the final minutes and she is unrecognizable. We see that, once proud and courageous avatar, in someone depressed and cowerd. We never have saw Korra like that, even when she was afraid of Amon she wasnt like that.
Korra is afraid of being the Avatar again and her fight against PTSD is still one of the most sensitive, responsable and honest representation of Mentall Issues that i saw, and it was before this subject gain more space on media. It was before people started to give attention to this
I also think that she was having flashs from her other fights and not only the one against Zaheer.
Another thing I think is worth mention is that Korra took 3 years to feel safer and re-embrace her duties as Avatar. It was not 3 weeks or 3 months, it was 3 years. And anyone who suffers from some mental illness knows very well the stigma that is, the fight that is, because everyone wants you to be well faster as possible when the truth is that many times you spend years fighting against this. And this is a pressure that falls on you.Imagine, seeing all your friends moving forward while you continue "stock in the same place"?
Only after Korra confronts Zaheer, I think that was a way to show her coping with the trauma, she improves to the point of returning to be the great Avatar we know. I personally still struggles with this scene because put the victim in front of her agressor may not be the best idea but i understand that she needed to see that he was just a man and not the invencible monster her mind was telling her
One of the lines that stuck with me the most was in the TLOK version of the ember island players, the one that made a recap of the show before the finale. When Korra said “I was so naive” just before we watch her narration of her journey, we can feel pain, sadness and strenght. Janet was amazing in the way the delivered this line.
And this fucking quote i saw here on tumblr still is the goat: “The Last Airbender is a story of a boy who becomes a god. The Legend of Korra is the story of a goddess who becomes a girl "
And I still get really pissed when someone comes to talk shit about Korra because she is such an incredible heroine and her journey is also so incredible.
The story of how life can be hard and unfair, how it can hurt and paralyze, but there is always a reason to move on. We should always move on.
Korra is definitely not weak, quite the opposite, she is one of the if not the strongest heroine I have ever seen. Korra inspires overcoming

Oh my heart
Summary: Lin never expected to have a soulmate, in a world where your mark appears whenever your soulmate is born she grew up completely blank. So when she’s thirty and it finally etches itself around her arm, she vows to never be with the one meant only for her.
A/N: there is an age gap so if that's not your thing, then please don’t read. This will be a two, maybe three parter and the reader is Korra’s older sister who is also a waterbender, besides that I’ve tried to keep any physical descriptions of her as vague as possible.
Word count: 4k
Lin was terrified. Something she had longed for her entire life had finally appeared but at the worst possible time, those strange words etched onto her forearm stared back at her in a taunting manner, making fun of her new attempt at happiness. You wished for me all your life, aren’t you pleased? The voice in the back of her head taunted, but she wasn’t. A moment meant to be filled with joy was one drenched in dread. Lin had finally accepted her feelings for Tenzin, despite him having had his soulmate mark since he was sixteen. Her glances grew longer, her smile seemed reserved only for him, and she finally felt happy, until now of course. Thirty, that’s how old Lin was, which meant she was thirty years older than her soulmate which seemed wrong, disgusting even, so Lin did what she thought best, she burnt it off. She blamed it on a work-related incident when asked, a pesky firebending criminal got a little to close and she paid the price. No one knew she did it to herself in the darkness of her apartment with tears on her face, a hint of regret gnawing at her heart.
Two months later, Tenzin asked Lin out on a date and despite that nagging feeling that this was so wrong, she accepted. After a few months Tenzin made her forget about the burnt skin on her forearm, the shameful secret she’d take to the grave. She felt happy, so happy, she felt loved and accepted, like maybe she had a shot at a happily ever after despite his mark and her own. Lin knew he’d choose her, knew he loved her, and had nothing to worry about, so she laid her head on his chest as they basked in the sun on Air Temple Island.
-----
“You can’t force me into wanting kids!” Lin shouted, her hands waving around as she glared at Tenzin, his usual calm demeanor seemed to crack, his voice rising as he shouted back “I’m the last air bender there is! I have to keep the line going, I have to repopulate my kind!”
“I would be a terrible mother, I hate kids and I’d have to leave my job for at least nine months, I just made Chief!” Tenzin pinched the bridge of his nose, his pale complexion turning red with frustration, he loved how dedicated she was to her job, but it seemed to be all she cared about since getting promoted.
“I think we need a break from each other, maybe a week or t-”. Her eyes widened in horror at his words, her hand's grip at her hair in frustration as she cuts him off “fine, but I am coming back in a week and we are working this out for good, I’m tired of this argument.” Without letting him say another word, she stormed out and made her way back to republic city.
As the week dragged on, Lin put her colleagues through hell. Slamming doors so hard the glass on them shattered, an even shorter fuse than normal, she even fired two of her best detectives for trying to ask her what was wrong. Her apartment seemed cold, her nights seemed never-ending and an undeniable sense of dread clawed its way into her heart like she knew he was slipping away. Maybe she could have one kid, to make him happy and keep the air benders going. If it was an earth bender then fine, she’d have another, but she wouldn’t quit her job, wouldn’t loosen up on the hours and Tenzin would understand, right? He’d just be so happy to be a father that he wouldn’t care, he’d always respected her work before, what was to stop him after a kid or two?
She caved, she decided to go back to air temple island on the fifth day, a sense of determination to fix their relationship fueled each step and she tried to dismiss any fear she had of becoming a mother as she made her way up the steps to where she’d known Tenzin would be. In her state, she didn’t notice the pitying looks the acolytes sent her way, all she cared about was finding him. When she found him in the courtyard, she thought nothing of the young woman speaking to Tenzin with a wide grin but when she put her hand on his shoulder mid-laugh, Lin paused. Tenzin noticed her then, a million emotions flashed through his eyes before his shoulders sagged and a sorrowful expression settled on his face, and somehow, she knew.
Who could blame her when she wreaked havoc on a place she once called her sanctuary, when she wished misery on him before leaving her destruction behind, her fists clenched tight as the best thing she ever had slipped through her fingers.
-----
“Korra!” a feminine voice shouted from behind Tenzin, you pushed past him and ran forward to hug the avatar in the interrogation room, murmuring something to her in a furious tone. Lin rolled her eyes as she looked over at Tenzin who said smoothly “Lin, you are looking radiant as usual.”
“Cut the garbage Tenzin” she replied in an annoyed tone “why is the avatar in republic city? I thought you were supposed to be moving down to the south pole to train her.” you, who came in with Tenzin let go of Korra and walked over to stand by him, your arms crossed over your chest.
“It was too cold for his bald head” you answered right as Tenzin opened his mouth to speak “now why is my sister in so much trou-”. Lin tuned the rest of her words out as shock slammed into her like a rock wall. No. This wasn’t meant to happen, she’d scorched off any chance with her soulmate twenty years ago, or so she thought. But this… this twenty? Yes, a twenty-year-old water tribe girl with brows furrowed, and an expectant look on her face was it. You were what sometimes kept her up at night when she was so lonely it felt like the feeling would surely eat her up as Lin imagined some faceless figure who loved Lin with all their heart, someone who would never leave her.
“Lin?” Tenzin asked, putting his hand on her shoulder which successfully pulled her out of the raging ocean that was her thoughts, no not ocean, definitely nothing water-related. Lin looked into Tenzin's eyes, completely ignoring her one chance at happiness.
“Just get her out of my sight and keep her out of trouble” she practically growled out before storming off. Her heart was racing so fast she’d thought it’d surely give up any second now, maybe she should have known that her hasty decisions from her past would one day come back to sucker punch her in the gut.
“Well that was weird” Lin heard you say behind her as she continued to rush away from you before she accidentally said something. Lin vowed then that she would never say a single word to you. It was better this way anyway, who would want her? Bitter, old, scarred Lin who was practically married to her job and hated all things romantic ever since Tenzin crushed her heart beneath his shoe.
-----
She learned that your name was y/n a few days later, she heard Korra call out to you at the gala and when Lin followed Korra’s excited figure and her eyes landed on her soulmate, the wind was successfully knocked out of her for the second time since meeting y/n. You were wearing a deep blue satin dress that went down to the floor with a blue sheer shoulder shawl that had silver snowflakes embroidered onto it. Your hair was down instead of up, and you had a small amount of makeup on, just a bit of rouge and red lipstick. Lin thought it was the perfect amount, any more and it might distract someone from your beautiful eyes, or your enchanting smile. Her heart began to pound despite her desperate attempt at keeping her emotions in check. A large part of her hated this, hated you, and what this feeling blooming in her chest meant.
When Bolin came up to you and threw an arm over your shoulder, which caused you to laugh, Lin remembered that it would never happen. She shoved her feelings down and turned away from you as her thoughts went from how beautiful you were to how you would never love her.
Later on in the evening, Tarlock calls Lin over and she sees you peek around Korra to eye her curiously, a look of intrigue settles on your features as Lin pushes down any feelings she has at the fact that you’re looking at her and it feels like her whole body is on fire under your stare. “I believe you and avatar Korra have already met” Tarlock looks over at her with that sly look of his that she’s already determined means he’s up to no good.
“Just because the city is throwing you this big to do, don’t think you’re something special. You’ve done absolutely nothing to deserve this” she says to Korra, leaning down a bit to glare at the young avatar. Your curious gaze turns to one of annoyance as you glare at Lin. “Hey! Who gave you the right to be mean to my little sister,” you step in front of Korra almost protectively, as you stare her down. Don’t speak to her, look away, don’t reply, she tells herself. Lin turns on her feet and walks off, trying to seem as if she doesn’t care about what you said. “Why does she always ignore me?” she hears you say in an exasperated tone before she loses your voice over the loud music playing nearby.
-----
When Tenzin stands next to Lin at the pro-bending arena with you by his side, she’s not surprised. It seems the universe has decided to continuously throw you in her face, dangling you teasingly despite knowing her decision regarding your bond. You're holding a bag of fire flakes as you eagerly watch your sisters match, but soon your once excited expression turns to annoyance once the game starts. The Wolf Bats tipped the referee off. Lin wants to go beat the referee up until he starts being fair, just to see you smile once more.
“C’mon! This is bullshit” you shout as the Wolf Bats gain another point. Lin can’t help but notice the way your nose scrunches up as you continue to shout at the referee or how your hair which originally was pushed behind your ears has come loose and is framing your face so beautifully. Her left hand unconsciously grazes over her armor where her burn mark is as she watches you, completely tuning the game out. As Tenzin goes to shout something alongside you, his eyes catch Lin staring at you with a look of longing, he takes a step closer to Lin causing her to tear her eyes away from you and back to the match.
“Lin....” Tenzin begins but she clears her throat and mutters out a sharp “drop it.” To which Tenzin does, for now. Later on, as the match intensifies, Lin says “I can’t believe your sweet-tempered father was reincarnated into that girl, she’s tough as nails.” Lin doesn’t see it, but you smile at her words before deciding to tune out the rest of the conversation between the two, too focused on your sister to care.
You're practically seething at the outcome of this botched game, fire flakes are flying out of the bag as you shout in anger, not noticing the figure approaching with sinister intentions. By the time you do, it's because you're in excruciating pain as something electrifies you, your vision blurs and you make out Lin dropping onto the floor. The figure who electrocuted you steps over your body, you reach out to the Airbender, trying to warn him but nothing comes out of your mouth as he falls to the floor beside you. Soon your eyes droop closed due to the pain despite trying your hardest to stay awake.
When Lin awakens her muscles feel like they're about to give out and she lets out a weak groan as she slowly goes to stand up. Her eyes land on you the second her vision is no longer a blur and her heart fills with panic as she sees an equalist take you into their arms. She stumbles forward, not fully awake, and catches the attention of your capture. You let out a pained groan, in your unconscious state, the sound tugs at her heart and she’s suddenly filled with boiling rage. The equalist is shaking as he continues to stumble backward, another appears to help him take you away and without a second thought Lin shoots out her wires and wraps them around both of their ankles, she gives them a harsh yank which causes them to fall to the ground with a loud thud, for good measure she cuffs them to the floor, warping the metal of the floor beneath them around their wrists and ankles. You land on top of your capture, your eyes begin to flutter behind your lids and you finally stir awake. Pain wraps around your muscles, in your head you think maybe it's best to just lay still, momentarily forgetting about your situation.
You let out a whimper, knocking Lin out of her frozen state as she had gazed at you. Lin rushes forward and wraps an arm around your waist as she pulls you up onto your feet, you open your eyes, blinking the blurriness out of your eyesight. Lin takes you over to the railing as Tenzin also begins to regain consciousness and she props you up against the metal railing. You stare up at her in confusion, your mind is buzzing a mile a minute, not only at the situation at hand but at how her arms felt wrapped around you. “Uhm… Thanks for that.”
“Amon probably ordered them to kidnap you to hurt Korra” she replies, not realizing what she’s just done. Your eyes widen in shock at her words but before she can even notice your shocked state an explosion sets off behind you, sheets of metal from the bending platform go flying and she wraps her arms around you, forcing you to duck down so she can shield you with her body. You pull up a wave of water to protect you from oncoming flames. The heat of the steam from the water causes you both to begin sweating before the flames from the explosion recede only seconds later. You let go of the water, suddenly the discovery of Lin’s secret doesn’t seem so important as you think of your sister. When you passed out she was in the water below, surely she’s somewhere safe, right?
As if to answer your question, Korra appears as she hurtles herself up into the air with a large twisting waterspout. As it begins to falter and then completely goes out you let out a shout filled with terror “Korra!” Lin quickly gets up and shoots her metal wire out towards the roof to send her flying across the arena towards the avatar, before Korra can hit the fiery platform below, she shoots out a second wire to her waist and with all her might yanks her up into the air.
You stand beside Tenzin with wide eyes and bated breath, suddenly the two most important women in your life, I mean Lin has been ignoring you and you’ll have to figure out why later but she is your soulmate which does make her incredibly important to you, are out of your sight and dangerously fighting above as you uselessly stand there with your water bending abilities that won’t get you up there to help fight off equalists. Not being able to just stand by you summon water from below and create an ice bridge to the platform, if you can’t fight, you can try to put out the raging fire caused by the explosion.
“Y/n, wait!” Tenzin calls after but you're long gone. If you just stand there you’ll go insane and you have powers that can help, even if you don't get to kick some equalist ass. Up above Lin finally lands on the glass dome and immediately sets out to take down as many people as she can at once, Korra watches in amazement for a moment as she wraps her wire at some guys foot and slams him into the roof before she gets knocked off the rope and lands onto the dome with a loud thud and the crackling of the glass starting to break below her.
It’s a collision of fire and electricity with metal wires flying towards the men and from below where you are using all your strength to put out the fire, it looks almost beautiful with the sparks of blue and flashes of red if not for the current circumstances. Tenzin has taken to help you with the fire by trying to use air to snuff it out. Suddenly glass from above sprinkles around them and you look up to see your little sister free falling once more.
“Tenzin can you do something with your air?!” You shout and he goes to try and send a force of air to help slow her down but she's going too fast, she’s flailing and if she doesn’t do something soon she’ll most likely die from the impact. As you run to the edge of the platform to try and save her yourself, Lin appears from above Korra and shoots a small wire to her so she can hold onto it like a rope.
Your shoulders sag in relief as you stumble away from the edge and use everything you’ve got to summon a massive wave to once and for all put out the fire. It works and the force of the water has it crashing into the stands taking with it some of the seats and any trash left behind in the frenzy. When you see Lin and Korra land you race off towards the now soaking wet stands, using the water below as a set of frozen stairs to reach them. When you do, Lin has her hand on Korra’s shoulder and is saying something but you don’t make it out before you crush them both in a hug. Some sort of strangled sound of relief bubbles up through your throat as your hold on them tightens.
Korra wraps her arms around you, softly saying “thank the spirits you're okay” as Lin stays perfectly still. As her adrenaline slowly leaves her body and she realizes you aren’t in danger, she suddenly can’t be touched by you. She remains frozen until you pull away, you know it's not the time to bombard her so instead you offer Lin a thankful smile, too worried about how she’d react if you did anything else.
-----
A few days later you finally let Korra out of your sight, letting her run off to deal with her boy problems as you head towards the main police station. You tried to casually ask Tenzin what kind of tea Lin liked best, to which he’d furrowed his brows and said “why?” You simply shrugged and repeated your question. Apparently, it was jasmine, which was a favorite of yours as well so you stopped by your favorite tea shop and grabbed two to-go cups. As you enter the station you square your shoulders and give yourself a little pep talk “You can do this, you just need to march in and figure out why, maybe butter her up with the tea first of course, and then ask why, that’s if she lets you into the office…” you trail off once your eyes land on the door of Lin’s office, the words “Chief Beifong” are written in gold on the glass door which has a blind pulled down so you can’t see inside, which your slightly grateful for.
“Chief Beifong doesn’t want anyone to disturb her” one of the cops called out, but you ignore him and open the door, who cares, you deserve answers.
“I said I wanted to be alone, how brain dead are yo-” her words cut off as you walk in, balancing two cups in one hand so you can shut the door. You swallow, suddenly being in front of her has made most of your bravado slip away, along with your original plan, leaving you speechless. She doesn’t say anything, seeming to forget that she already spoke to you in the arena. You set the cups down and lift your shirt, which causes Lin to blush but you don’t stop until she can see her own words.
“I used to hate them… y’know,” you say quietly before dropping your shirt back down, Lin glares at her desk. “I used to be jealous of Korra and all the attention she got, so imagine growing up with her name etched onto your skin.”
She goes to open her mouth to speak, most likely to spew out some lie so you beat her to it. “I don’t know why, exactly, you kept it to yourself, I asked Tenzin the other day and he said you didn’t have a mark which is odd seeing as you are my soulmate." You pause, your voice softening, "you could have just told me straight away that you didn’t want me, didn’t want this instead of ignoring my existence and leaving me to wonder what I'd done to offend you.” Finally, she looks up from the desk and you make eye contact with her. You're trying so hard not to cry as you try to figure out what's going through her head, will she kick you out? Is your soulmate going to reject you?
“I thought…” Lin begins, she looks away from you, not being able to look you in the eyes anymore. “I thought I was doing you a favor, I’m old, and I’m not the most personable or charismatic person, I thought maybe you’d want someone your own age, maybe someone like your sisters' teammates.”
“So someone who is young and a guy? Did you think that maybe you should let me decide what I wanted instead of just assuming?”
“Look I gave up on the idea of having a soulmate years ago!” Lin shouts and you flinch away in surprise, “thirty years is a long time, do you know how I felt when those words suddenly appeared on me at thirty?”
“Oh, so you do have a mark!” You let out a disbelieving, angry laugh. “So you just went around telling everyone you didn’t have one, pretending the idea of me, of us, didn’t exist.” Tears cloud your vision and you let out a frustrated groan as you quickly gaze up at the ceiling in an attempt to keep them from falling. Lin’s gaze softens and she slowly stands from her desk.
“Y/n… I thought about it every day, but… We can’t be together, I’m far too old and I’ll just hold you back.” You scoff and aggressively wipe at the tears falling down your cheeks, your heart feels like it's beginning to crack.
“Your mark?” You croak out and cringe at how you sound. Lin hesitated before using her bending to take off the armor on her right arm. On her arm is a massive burn scar, you keep staring at it, not knowing what to say. Did someone else do that to her? As if she can read your thoughts, Lin says softly “I did it to myself a few days after it appeared.”
Oh. So this is what it's like to have your heart cleaved into two, what you felt just minutes before seems like nothing compared to the pain wrapping so tightly around you that it seems hard to breathe. She hated the idea of you so much she'd rather hurt herself and lie to everyone in her life. Without another word you turn your back on your soulmate, despite the sound of calling out to you, just like she did to you twenty years ago.

Legend of Korra X Male Reader
Hey guys! I’m loving all the likes you’re giving. I want to hear more of your questions and comments. Also I would really appreciate it if you would tag me and give me credit when you reblog my work. Thanks
(All credit for Legend of Korra goes to Nickelodeon and it’s creators ❤️)
Season 1, ep 5, p2
Kazan and Meelo yawned sleepily, full from dinner. "That was really good, (Y/N)." Pema complimented, rubbing her belly happily. "Glad you liked it Auntie." You then turned to your Aunt Rene who was sulking in the corner with a smug grin. "So, Auntie, thoughts?" you teased, making her start. "Listen little boy! Don't you dare give me attitude just because you're a better cook than me!" Everyone laughed at the banter between you two. "It's late, and the children are sleepy, why don't you guys sleep here for the night? Nagisa can sleep with Jinora and Ikki, and Kazan can bunk with Meelo." Pema suggested.
"Yay! Sleepover!" cheered Ikki and Nagisa much to Jinora's annoyance. "Here, I'll help but the boys to sleep, Uncle."He smiled appreciatively at you, grabbing Meelo while you carried Kazan. "You did good tonight, nephew." Tenzin said, leading the way to the boys' room. "You heard from the radio?" you tilted your head, adjusting your grip on the young firebender. "No, I saw from the corner. You really are your parent's son."
You stared at his back in shock before smiling. "Heh, thanks Uncle."
*That night*
You inhaled the fresh air as you and Nevermore walked to the arena to get ready. But stop seeing Mako and Korra each facing different ways, and leaned against a pole, out of their sight line. "What kind of game are you playing?" asked the Firebender. "Um, pro-bending? We have a quarter final match." Korra stated like it was the most obvious thing. "No, I mean with Bolin. You got him all in a tizzy, and I know you're only using him to get back at me." Mako accused. 'Ooh bad move, Mako.'
"I am not. We're just having fun. What do you care, anyway?" Korra defended. "I'm looking out for my little brother. I don't want to see his heart get broken." 'That is such bull.' you laughed silently. Korra knew it was too, "Wait a second. You're not worried about him; you're jealous," Korra was smirking and you were too. "You do have feelings for me." Mako didn't miss a beat. "What? Jealous? Don't be ridiculous."
"Admit it, you like me." Korra didn't realize she was playing with fire, quite literally. "No, I'm with Asami." "Yeah, but when you're with her, you're thinking about me, aren't you?" The Avatar sounded so smug right now, and you were silently rooting for her. "Get over yourself." Mako snapped. "I'm just being honest!" "You're crazy!" Mako denied. "You're a liar!" cried Korra.
That was when you decided to step in. You splashed the two with water you kept in your pocket, and sent your teammates a raised eye brow. "If you two hot heads are done, we do have a match to go to." You then walked away, your pony tail swinging behind you. You stopped the two from entering the room and to keep Bolin from getting him involved.
"Listen you two, don't bring this energy around Bolin. And while you are out on that ring, keep your personal feelings out of it. We've come too far for you two to mess it up. Am I clear?" The younger teens looked at each other and sighed, when Nevermore snapped her jaws for good measure. "Yes, sir." "Good, I'll be here when the match is over." You walked in and over to the railing, waiting for the match to start.
*15 minutes later*
"Eight teams have been eliminated, and eight advance into the quarter finals, which get underway tonight. The rookies are about to take on the former and longest running champs--the Boar-Q-Pines. Youth clashes with experience in a battle for the ages or rather of the ages. Korra dodges and--ooh slams right into her teammate! Down goes Mako, and Bolin and Korra." You face palm and growled as the second announcer said, "Round One goes to the Boar-Q-Pines."
Your (e/c) eyes narrow, noting Mako was saying something to Korra in a very aggressive way. Poor Bolin looked so confused. The waterbender part of you wanted to switch out with Korra, but the airbender part of you, reminded your that this was how Korra and Mako were going to make up. Nevermore nuzzled your cheek making you chuckle and rub her head. "Thanks, girl."
"The Ferrets looking to mount some offense here in round 2. Bolin lets fly a flurry of attacks. He's a one man bending battalion." "Yes! Way to go, Bolin!" You cheered for the Earthbender. "The Ferrets having a tough time finding their rhythm tonight. But thanks to Bolin, they narrowly notch round two."
Round 3 started and at this point the crowd noticed their was something wrong as well. "Not sure, what's eatin' them, but this is not the same team that took out the Rabbaroos." You winced in sympathy as the Avatar took Earth disk to the stomach. "Round 3 is a tie. We go to a tie breaker to decide the match." A referee tossed a blue and red coin into the air, and caught it, covering it up.
He moved his hand to reveal the red side. "The Fire Ferrets win the coin toss. Which element do you choose?" Immediately the three tried to decide who would go to fight, until Bolin stepped up with the older Earthbender. "Looks like the Earthbenders will collide in the tie breaker face off. Bolin goes in for the grapple, Chang reverses." You grit your teeth as Bolin was flung into the air but cheered when he fired from mid air.
"Bolin strikes from mid air, knocking Chang to the edge of the circle, and another strike from Bolin, knocking Chang into the drink!" "The Future Industries Fire Ferrets win their quarter final match!" You, Mako, and Korra sighed in relief as the announce continued talking. "Ooh, close one folks, youth trumps experience tonight."
You met the trio at the edge and grinned at Bolin. "Good job, Bo! You were awesome out there!" You watched as Korra and Mako went their separate ways. You sighed, and walked over to Mako and whispered in his ear, "You better get your act right, Mako. You maybe my best friend, but I won't hesitate to kick your ass." He looked at you with wide eyes, knowing you were dead serious. "Hey, (Y/N), come with me! I need your help!" Bolin dragged you out the room, making you laugh.
*Time skip*
You and Bolin walked up to where Korra could be hiding and you stopped seeing Korra and Mako kissing. 'Are they kidding me?!' "Wait, Bo, don't--"
You were too late, as he stopped seeing the scene in front of you. You hid half your face in your hand, Nevermore trying to hide her head in your hair. It was silent until Bolin started crying and ran away. "Wait, Bolin, this isn't what you think!" He turned to Korra with a glare on his face. "Great! Look what you did." "You're blaming me?" demanded Korra.
"You kissed me!" "You kissed me back!" Both gasped being splashed with freezing cold water, and turned to you. Nevermore's teeth were drawn back into a snarl, and you had a dangerous look on your face. "It doesn't matter. You are both at fault! Now what matters is how the hell you are going to fix it." You and Nevermore growled as Mako groaned and ran after his brother. You turned to the city view and didn't even look at the Water Tribe girl.
"Korra, I know you've been isolated all your life, and you probably thought you would get your happily ever after with Mako. But there's so many fish in the sea for you to explore with. Don't settle for the small fry." "Well played, Korra." she said, hugging herself. "Live and learn, Korra." you sighed, "Live and learn."
*The next morning.*
You followed Mako into the restaurant. "Morning, Narook. Is my brother here?" The man behind the counter gestured behind you guys, and Mako waved in thanks. "Thanks." He walked over to Bolin and shook his shoulder. "Come on, wake up. I'm taking you home, bro." That cause Bolin to sniff and look up sadly.
"Don't call me that. You're not my brother!" He drunkenly slapped Mako's hands away from him. "You're a brother-betrayer." He sobbed into his arms. "The only ones I can trust: are Pabu and (Y/N)! They love me!" "You're a mess, and we've got the biggest of our lives tonight. Let's go." Mako tried grabbing Bolin who screamed at him. "No! I'm not going anywhere with you traitor!" You sighed, pushing Mako and grinning at Bolin.
"Come on, Bo. I need my favorite Earthbender to fight with me tonight!" He finally got up with his arm slung over your shoulder. "Only you Bolin, can drunk off Water Tribe Noodles." You laugh gently. "I told you dating a teammate was a bad idea." Mako sighed. "You're a bad idea!" You laugh at their antics, even if you were pissed at Mako.
*That night*
You finished braiding your hair so it hung down your back, and out of your face, as Korra walked into the room. She looked at Bolin slouching on a bench, and noticed you over at the mirror. You were lost in thought, but it was clear something was bothering you. You suddenly snapped out of it and stood up, putting your helmet on. "Let's go guys. And leave your personal feelings here."
"You can't find a team more evenly matched. In age, size, and strength than the Fire Ferrets and the Buzzard Wasps. Believe me, I looked." he joked. "This should be a pulse-pounding semi-final, folks." The bell rang and the Buzzards fought first. "The Buzzard-Wasps open with a flawlessly executed combo. 2 of the Ferrets take an early visit to Zone 2, and Mako's knocked all the way back into Zone 3! The Ferrets have been struggling to stay alive since the opening bell. It seems Bolin and Mako are out of sync tonight. (Y/N) taking the brunt of the impact from the front lines."
The crowd groaned with Bolin as he was hit in the gut, hard. "Ooh, that has got to sting." You heard retching and groaned, knowing it was Bolin. "And Bolin looses his noodles, literally." All the players seem to have froze with that disgusting scene. "Which reminds me, this match is brought to you by our sponsor, Flamey-O-Instant Noodles. 'Noodlest- Noodles in the United Republic.' " Soon Bolin was knocked back into Zone 3 with Mako, leaving you to get defend from Zone 1.
You were suddenly knocked into Zone 3 by an Earth disk, while avoiding a flame burst. "The Buzzard Wasps fly deeper into Ferret Territory. And Mako plunges into the pool. Can the Fire Ferrets hold on?" You and Bolin looked at each other and continued to fight with all you got. "The Ferrets are backed to the edge now, and are saved by the bell! They had better pull themselves together, folks, for round two. Otherwise they can kiss their finals goodbye. "
"Round 2!" You used water in a arch to knock two of the Buzzards back into Zone 2. "Oh, what a strong start from (Y/N)!" Mako groaned being knocked into Zone 2, and sent fire towards them, hitting Bolin in the process. He cried out, and turned onto his back to glare at Mako. "Hey, watch it!" He gasped being knocked into the water, from his distraction. "The Wasps take advantage of Mako's unforced error, and move forward."
You and Mako spun your elements together and knocked the opposing Water and Earth benders out and into the drink giving the round to you guys. Round 3 came and you looked between the boys. "Look, we've been working for a long time for this. Get your heads in the game guys. Please." You begged slightly; they knew what this tournament meant to you. "Let's get this over with." Mako sighed.
When the match started, Mako was already in the drink, and Bolin's shoulder was messed up,and then he was in the drink. "The Ferret's dream of making it to the finals rests on Councilman (Y/N)'s shoulders." You smirked to yourself, used your waterbending to get the team into a line of three, and knocked them down like dominoes. "It's the big kaboosh! What a knockout!"
The crowd went wild and you could hear Mako and Bolin cheering for you. "It didn't seem possible folks, but the Fire Ferrets are headed to the finals." You laughed, waving to the crowd, before walking away. You took your helmet off and groaned when Korra gave you a big hug. "Korra! Korra! I need my....lungs...to breathe." "Oh! Sorry!" she sheepishly let you go. "Sometimes, I forget about my own strength." You sent her a lopsided smile, "It's okay, Korra." Bolin and Mako walked up to you.
"That was pretty much the coolest thing I've ever seen." "Thanks for not giving up on us; we never would've made this far without your level head. We owe you big time." You rolled your eyes, walking past them, taking your helmet off. The three looked at each other, uncertain. "(Y/N)--" "Look, I know things are confusing between the three of you, but this team means everything to me, and the last thing I need is for some petty love triangle is to mess it up."
Your sudden attitude caught the other's off guard; you were usually so carefree and cool. You got ready to leave the room when your ex walked in, making a scene. "Ooh, ooh, you boys smell something in here?" Tahno pinched his nose before smirking. "Oh, wait I know what that is. Yeah, it's the scent of losers." "I hope we see you in the finals. Then we'll see who the real losers really are." Korra said back.
"Yeah, I'm peeing my pants over here." Tahno said confidently before turning to you, with a very faint blush on his cheeks. "I'll win this match for you, (Y/N). Maybe we can go out to that Water Tribe restaurant you like so much." You turned to him with a bored look and said, "Gag me. We are not together anymore, Tahno, I just can't trust you." You brushed your bangs into your face and left without another word.
You ran into Asami in the hallway. "Oh, hey Asami." she hugged you and took a step back, noting your mood. "Great job! What a comeback! I--Hey...what's the matter?" she asked, green eyes shining earnestly. "Nothing, why don't you go see you boyfriend." You began to walk away when she grabbed your arm.
"Hey, you don't need to be strong around me, (Y/N), you've been there for me when I needed it. You can talk to me--" "No! I can't talk to anyone and especially not you because on of my main problems is I'm in love with you, and I just think you're wrong for Mako because he and Korra kissed and they belong together and I--" Asami cut you off by hugging you tightly, your arms tight around her waist. "(Y/N), I-I didn't know you felt that way." You took her hand in yours and kissed the top of it, locking eyes with her.
"Asami..." you left it at that and walked away, leaving her to her thoughts.
You ran to where you hid Neo, and hugged him with all your might, begging your tears not to fall, and while the polar bear dog didn't know what caused your pain, he simply nudged you with as much warmth as possible. You took such good care of him, it hurt him to see you so upset.
You sniffed, and looked into Neo's blue eyes with a watery smile.
"Let's go home, boy."

Angstpril day 30, we lost
Tw: cursing? feelings?
Young woman rose up from where she passed out other night, heard the ringing bell right inside her brain. Annoyed from it's sound she tried to walk steadily through the door with her aching bones whose trying to carry her tired body. She asked who it was then after hearing that voice her eyes got widened.
"H-hey Lin..." the voice paused,
"It's Tenzin, can-" he wasn't sure what he could say to convince her, he took a deep breath.
"Would you open the door? I-I wanna talk to you"
Eartbender tensed hearing his voice. She let out a sigh.
"Go away" she informed him very firmly. Lin was about go the bathroom thinking he would go back anyway like he always did before but the did something she thought we would never done.
"Lin, please. I need you to open this door" he pleaded. She could hear that desperation in his voice. She would never admit but she used to think she would die to hear him this desperate but now, hearing in reality but not in her imagination was another feeling. Her chest ached in pain, something inside her screamed at her to open this door right now, go crush into his chest and never let go. Her eyes watered, she took a breath to gather her thoughts. Then she slowly opened the door.
He saw a body of a man, standing still right in front of her door. There was a package on his hand. He was bitting his lips to stop himself from crying. Lin waited a second to let him talk but nothing came out she spoke first.
"Why are you here?"
"I- May I come in?" he asked like he was apologizing. She nodded and gestured the inside.
Tenzin walked with slow, unsure steps. Each step sended him another happy memories with her without giving any mercy . Unfortunately, It was same with Lin.
"I-Mother send you some stuff" he said dropping the package to her arms. She putted on the table and turned to her.
"That's it?" she asked. She knew she sounded like "Please say something to me" and turned her head to another direction to hide from his gaze.
"I wanna give you something" he collected all this courage and said as he looking at his feet. His delicate hands leaned to his robes pocket then something looking like jewelry came out. After she saw that thing in palm of his hand she realized It was her bethoral necklace. It's been a long time since she saw that and she didn't thought he actually keep it after her harsh answer. She couldn't help but let a tear fall.
"Why are you doing this to me?" a sharp breath escaped from her mouth.
"It-It just always belonged to you, Lin"
"I'm so sorry" he tried to came close to her but she took a step back, raised her head and looked him in the eye.
"Go" she said very clear, very simple.
This time he started to cry too. Both past lovers stood like that, losing last pieces of their love and respect to each other. They knew they were losing their childhood and the most painful part was they lost it so easily like they lost each other.
"Lin you don't understand. I-I just wanted to say I'm sorry and wanted to talk to you. Believe me I'm paying the same price you're paying. No one looks at me the same way they used to. I have a child at home, I don't how to be father to her. I have a wife at home and we both don't even know what to say to each other-
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?" she shouted her heart out.
"I HAVE NOTHING RIGHT NOW. NOTHING. YOU HEARD ME?! NO FAMILY. NO FRIEND. ALL BY MYSELF and-" her lungs couldn't take the pressure they've been receiving. She left breathless.
"Lin-" he tried to comfort her but she countered.
"No. Tenzin. You do not have a right to say you're not happy. You chose what you wanted. You chose that girl and you chose to have a baby when you were clearly not ready for it. And of course they won't look at you the same they used to BECAUSE SHE IS FUCKING 16 YEARS YOUNGER THEN YOU SHE ALMOST DIED GIVING BIRTH JUST TO FULFILL OF YOUR SELFISH SCHEMES"
He let out a sob quietly. She wanted to say more to him but suddenly couldn't. Instead,
"Why are you here, really?"
"I-" a hiccup
"I just wanted to talk to you Lin. I knew you would understand me. You always did. No one will understand me like you do."
"Ok. Tell me what you want, just get away from it already, ugh" she wiped away her tears quickly and crossed her arms. She used the wall to lean on.
"I- I came here to find something worth it. Just-I don't know. Maybe a friend from the past, a sweet memory. A familiar." he swallowed.
"Tenzin." she straighted her form.
"There's no memory left here. No friend from past no sound, no soul or no familiar. It just you and me right now."
He started to cry more, hearing the harsh truth crushed his heart in million pieces. His soul left wounded.
"Go to your home. I'm no longer your home." she said giving the necklace back.
Tenzin wiped his eyes and walked through the door. He accepted everything, turned to say his last apology and left. Lin watched him go without saying anything. It was just the best for them. They both lost, so the easiest way to walk out less wounded is, just going away.

New prompt:
Lin being risky with Tenzin; cause if they get caught "in public" perhaps that gets her mom's attention.
Just people acting like they 'don't see a thing' (probably cause they need new airbenders?)
Well, at least they have fun?
You can check out:
Part 1 on Tumblr & AO3.
Part 2 on Tumblr & AO3.
(It's a tiny bit NSFW).
And here's part 3! Quote included.
When it came to Lin, Tenzin always thought himself lucky more than anything else. He was always at the right place at the right time. He just happened to be born to her mother's best of friends a year prior to her birth. Therefore, he was always meant to cross paths with Lin. Tenzin liked believing in such anomalies of the universe- that the spirits and the world created one big conspiracy to connect him to his soul mate. And in such extraordinary ways too: where she was earth, he was air; where she was his fire within, he was the water around her. Where he was a pedant, she was mischief and wherever she was, he was sure to follow.
However, this instance was the wrong place at the very wrong time.
Lin was up to absolutely no good and any protest Tenzin may have had, died at its very source. He wanted her so badly, and yet she was head set on teasing him for the next unforeseen hours at this stupid gala.
Ever since that one chaste first kiss all those weeks ago, things between them had sure escalated. Physically speaking, that is. The fact of the matter was that this whole thing started because Tenzin couldn't stop staring at her bodacious form; of course she had made note of it. In fact, Lin needed him to show her just how he felt about her body.
And that Tenzin did happily- he loved following orders after all.
But this was simply blasphemous.
He gave himself some form of petty leeway to enjoy her actions by telling himself that at least this was all happening under the table.
No, they most certainly weren't hiding under the table, just the parts of their bodies that were involved were hidden by the table.
Lin's hand was diligently caressing and massaging the insides of Tenzin's thighs. To an onlooker, it probably looked like they were just sweetly holding hands under the table, but Tenzin knew better. And of course, so did Lin. And hopefully the others didn't- or at least pretended like they didn't. Or worse, they weren't ever the wiser until his face would give it away.
That wouldn't bode well for anyone involved here.
"Lin, please." He finally managed to let a curt whisper out in between the polite dinner table conversation.
"Please, what?" She replied innocuously.
Obviously she knew what. Had she not known, she wouldn't have whispered it. Lin was a terrible criminal.
"Why are you doing that?" He covered his whisper by bringing his glass of cider up to his lips.
"Doing what?" She played coy once again.
Tenzin placed his hand on hers, harder than he intended on. There was a sudden hurry because he rightly guessed her next move, and she needed to be stopped before his expressions could give him away.
"You know what you're doing."
He squeezed her hand under his, finally putting at end to the movement of her perfectly soft hands.
"Oh," She raised an astounded eyebrow, "That."
"Yeah, that!" He repeated in a soft chiding tone, "You need to stop!"
"Why?" She asked, innocently pushing her hair to one side, "I thought you were enjoying yourself. At least it felt like it."
Tenzin groaned behind his fake smile, "Lin, we need to stand up soon."
"So?" She shrugged, picking up her glass of wine, "Did you forget how to stand? I know I'm good, but I'm not that good."
Tenzin turned his head in her direction. Her cherry red lips had widened out into that sexy smile she always used when teasing him. He could so easily just slam his lips onto hers to get rid of the smile that had such a clambering effect in his body. But they were at this stupid gala. If he wanted her, he had to wait. And the longer he had to wait, the more Lin was going to resort to her little tricks.
"I just won't have enough blood in my legs to carry my weight, Lin." He deadpanned, "And everyone will be able to see it. Besides, we're representing our parents here, we shouldn't be engaging in these juvenile indecencies. What if someone sees us?" His resolve of scolding her was being thoroughly tested as Lin eyed him naughtily, licking the remnants of the wine that easily chameleoned into her lips- just adding to the glossiness he so desired to taste. He decided to distract himself and dropped his gaze down from her lips to her perfectly nestle-able breasts.
She just had to be wearing a low-cut dress too, didn't she? He let out a sharp breath.
"What do you care if anyone sees? Everyone knows we're dating. Besides," She seemingly crossed her arms over her lap to frame and further extenuate the cleavage her breasts were creating- of course she knew where his eyes were, "Such a boring evening calls for some troubling fun."
Tenzin sighed, his eyes now unable to move.
"But what if-"
He was so weak for her.
"Someone sees us? They'll tell our parents? Big whoop." She gave him an incredulous smile, even though that's not where he was looking.
Gathering how weak his grip on her hand was now, Lin slithered back to thigh, using his own hand as guidance as to where he'd like to be touched. As if in a trance, with his gaze fixed on her breasts, he unconsciously directed her hand upwards. It wasn't until her hand grazed over a certain protuberance on his thigh that he snapped out his stupor.
"Lin!" He whisper scolded again, shaking the visual of her breasts out of his mind.
She giggled her infectious laugh.
Tenzin looked around the table and from the smiling looks from the people around them, he could tell that fortunately, no one knew of the happenings below the table. The old Earth Kingdom diplomat leaned over to her husband's side to whisper, "Young love."
She sighed. The man on the other side of her husband smiled back at the couple and added, "Well, we do need more airbenders."
His wife beside him smacked his arm at that, "They're far too young for all that!"
And that's when the four of them, alongside the other three members of their table caught Tenzin's eye. They realized they were being watched and heard by the Avatar's son, and despite the whispers, they were all still on the same table.
"Sorry, master Tenzin, we were just-" One of the male diplomats started, "You two just make such a fine pair."
"Thank you." He offered a polite smile, "Lin and I are very happy together."
At that even Lin smiled sweetly; something that wasn't witnessed by many; and squeezed his hand gently.
The pair soon left the table along with the others to make their way to the dance floor. This event had been long enough: first with the mingling and socializing, then with the dinner and now to the final part: the dance. Neither Lin nor Tenzin even remembered what this event was about once the music arose with its epicurean melody and their bodies moved as one.
Tenzin had one hand on her waist the other interlaced within her fingers. He was leaning down, pressing his forehead against hers, eyes closed and just taking her in breath by breath with the music. Lin still seemed to have some of that previous mischief inside of her. In biding with the music, she pressed herself closer to him- to seemingly give him a better view from his point, but to her surprise, his eyes were closed shut.
Perhaps, she'll torture him later.
He deserved to enjoy this.
So she swayed along with him, tightening and loosening her grip on his hand to entice some form of response from him.
But it fruited to nothing.
Finally, Tenzin let out a sharp exhale, sighing heavily in the process right by Lin's face.
"What's wrong?" She asked quietly.
"It's dumb."
"Tell me," She moved her face away from his in order to look at his, "You seem upset."
"Wha- No." Tenzin met her eyes, "It's really nothing, Lin. Nothing we can't discuss once we're done with this gala."
"What is it?" She spoke a little louder now on account of her worry.
"I-" Tenzin sighed again, "I really want to do dirty things with you."
"Oh."
Her cheeky smile made a reappearance, and Tenzin caught it, pulling her closer to his body.
He leaned down to whisper in her ear, "Come with me."
Lin would have to be out of her mind to decline. Tenzin led her away from the dance floor by the hand and looked around doors and corridors for some privacy. Of course, with Toph's metalbending officers on duty in every nook and cranny, it was impossible to find space to get closer. Eventually, Lin used her bending to find an empty utility closet at the end of one of the many corridors.
The two of them scurried on their way, with Lin ensuring to evade eye contact with her co-workers as they entered the closet.
Tenzin had to have his way with her. She had been teasing him for far too long now. Lin too needed him with a urgency that that knew no patience. Once they were inside, everything fell undone.
The strumming on the music took care to overshadow any of the sounds they made.
However, before Tenzin and Lin vanished for their little coup d'etat, the gala had already started to wrap up for the evening. Everyone was beginning to say their goodbyes, but they had two very important representatives to greet before they could take their leaves.
Additionally, it just so happened that the exit was located at the very end of the same corridor Lin and Tenzin were occupying.
Everyone had gathered by the exit, each asking the other if they'd laid eyes on the Avatar and Lady/Captain Beifong. One of the metalbending officers was about to step forward and let them all know that the two had already departed, when the closet door shoved open and two in question emerged out, looking suspiciously disheveled.
Tenzin's eyes blew open shock.
Lin realized that getting caught was far better in theory than in practice.
Of course, everyone had the better sense than to comment on their dispositions, but it was needless to say that it was thoroughly awkward for all parties involved.
Just as Tenzin was about to make frivolously thought out remark, one of the diplomats he previously shared the table with stepped forward.
"Well," He started with a jolly smile, "The two of you have such an exemplary relationship, it makes old folks like us happy to know that our children and grandchildren are going to be led by very loving leaders."
"And more airbenders!" A drunken woman's voice echoed.
"Hurrah and goodnight!" The diplomat cheered and exited, leading everyone else to slowly follow behind.
Tenzin and Lin were rendered speechless. They exchanged a knowing spooked glance and determined with unspoken words that their parents were sure to hear of their intermission.
