I LIVEEE for Paula x Martina

They are very very cute! I’m still not obsessed with them, but I can’t wait to see how their story is gonna evolve. I love Paula when she just can’t with Martina and the spanish guy lol I love her faces and honestly the way she looks all jealous and sad makes me think about Jaz looking at Flor and Dani… even tho I feel like in this case both, Martina and Paula, are a bit in denial of what is going on between them. Things are going slow but I’m so here for it, I’m very curious to see what’s gonna happen.

This is not really related to this topic but I just wanna say that (for now) the friendship between Paula and Inés is my favorite thing of the show.

Hey there :) can you explain to me why you love the 'can you do it out of love' scene so much? Bc for me Jaz manipulates Flor by saying this (I love Jazmin I love both of them) I just don't see the beauty in this scene like you but I want to! All I hear is "You have to do it so we can adopt them" I know Flor loves Jaz & the kids but I don't know if that's enough... If she forces herself to go out of love I can't see it working bc she didn't go on her own... Thank you for taking your time!

Okay my reply is going to be long bc we’re going to break it down moment by moment.

So remember at the beginning of the episode, Flor states that, while meeting with the judge, she was nervous in the beginning and then managed to calm down. We know when Flor is nervous, she has her tics so my guess is she said somethings that weren’t inappropriate etc. She had her tics.

So the first thing to me is, Jaz gets a call from the court saying they cannot adopt the girls. The reason they cannot adopt the girls, at this moment, is because of Flor’s Tourettes and I’m assuming the outbursts she had in the meeting. So, I guess the judge was feeling nice and decided to give them a second chance by talking to Jaz. 

So Flor already knows whatever Jaz is about to say is going to affect her. She even asks if it’s good or it’s bad. Jazmin says “It depends on how you see it”, right? And Flor automatically knows it’s not good news. 

So Jaz automatically asks if Flor trusts her and Flor answers always. I think, this is an incredibly hard thing for Jaz to do because she already knows from the bar incident that Flor does not want treatment. She doesn’t want to go through treatment. I think the reason she asks Flor if she trusts her is to state, you’re not going to like this and I know that, but it’s just something we have to do.

So Jaz explains everything. Why she didn’t go with Flor? Why she didn’t tell Flor she was going to court? The judge asked to speak to her, specifically. Imagine being Jaz, after having a morning in court with your soon to be wife and hearing the judge say she only wants to talk to you and you only. We know Jaz hates lying. The whole day, having to lie to Flor, probably did not do well for Jaz either, but she went to the court and was told they weren’t going to be able to adopt. 

Flor immediately starts to panic and Jaz immediately starts explainging, that she was able to create a space where they are still an option. Then she tells Flor she has to get treatment, but pay attention to how long she pauses before she says it. Pay attention the way she tells Flor they have to follow the requirements. Her voice gets soft when saying “requirements” because, in my opinion, she doesn’t want to have to do this either. She don’t want Flor to have to go through this and she doesn’t want to have to tell her, but it’s the only way. 

Her pause before telling Flor she needs to get treatment, to me, is Jaz taking the moment to make sure she says it correctly. And then Flor says “So the problem is me?” And Jaz says “No, you’re not the problem. You just have to get treatment.” Look at her eyes and listen to her voice when she says that. Her voice is shaky and her eyes are close to watering because she never wants to make Flor feel like something is her fault because of her Tourettes.

And then Flor says “I’m going to be a bad mother” and Jaz replies with “No, I knew you would say that.” And it’s because it’s Flor’s defense mechanism and Jaz, once again, does not want Flor to think that because Jaz knows how wonderful Flor is. How beautiful her heart is, but the judge, unfortunately sees the problem. The judge only sees the Tourettes. Jaz is not going to let that be what the judge sees because she would never let ANYone see anything other than who Flor is.

So Flor reacts and Jaz knew this is how she was going to react. Jaz is trying to keep her calm and keep her thoughts rational. That’s why it gets super intense. And then Flor explains, “I don’t like being forced.” And Jaz says, “I don’t see it that way.” This is where you have to realize Jaz does not see Flor the way others see Flor. Jaz has seen Flor do so many things out of the love she has. Look at Jaz’s eyes. They are red because she doesn’t want to see Flor like this. She doesn’t want to ever see Flor like this.

“So how do you see it?” Flor reacts with hitting. We already know that anytime Flor does something to hurt herself, ie hit her chest, it hurts Jaz just as much because she wants to take that pain. So Jaz, stops it and then says:

“You’re doing it out of love.” Flor has already talked about how much she loves Viole and Meli. How much seeing Viole singing on the street and meeting her meant. Flor was the one who suggested adoption and Flor was the one who has said, multiple times, that she and Jaz both have so much love to give, why not adopt? There are kids who need love and they have the love to give.

“Can you do it out of love?” Flor nods because she knows the only way she’s going to be able to adopt is if she gets treatment. The only way she will have her daughters is through love. Jaz isn’t being malicious. Jaz is having to have a conversation that hurts her just as much as Flor because Jaz knows how much Flor doesn’t want treatment. But she knows that Flor has a huge heart and she knows that Flor wants to adopt these two little girls and give them a home. The question isn’t a way to trick Flor, it’s to remind Flor of the love that she has and the love she wants to give.

And Flor nods because she is reminded of her own words and she has her soon to be wife, right in front of her. She knows Jaz is going to be there through the whole process. She knows Jaz is going to help her in anyway that she can. And she knows she won’t be going through this alone. So what does she do? She nods and falls into the comfort of Jazmin’s arms because that is where she feels the safest. And she knows, with Jazmin, she can and will do anything to adopt these two little girls and give them the love they need. The home they need.

I think the flozmin proposal was beautiful as it was. We all know that flor gets very anxious if it's something big with many people, we have dani's proposal to back that up. She was clearly very uncomfortable while dani was dancing and stuff, she didn't even say yes inmediately. I think that jaz knows that and, unlike dani, she doesn't need to show off all the time her "grand gestures". She just needed flor to know how much she loved her and so she proposed privately. It was perfect.

Hey anon. I’m glad lots of people feel that way, it’s one of the reasons the level of drama in the fandom remained at next to zero for the majority of the storyline. :) 

However, if the argument is that grand, public gestures make Flor anxious and that it was better for the proposal to be private, then my argument about wanting Jaz to put a bit more thought into it (or that that’s what she would have done because she likes to plan things) doesn’t completely contradict that. Jaz didn’t necessarily have to hire a flash mob or a corny ass dude dressed up as a heart like Dani did. She could have just planned an intimate evening at home like the Thanksgiving one where she sent Flor the dress**, or even like the one where she told her she loved her. Clearly, she’s good at planning romantic things for the two of them. It could still have been private, it could still not have made Flor uncomfortable or anxious but it would still have felt like the big relationship milestone that it was and not like an afterthought, like it did end up coming across as, for me. 

But, well, mileage varies, obviously. :)

**Fun fact: there was a bit during their dance scene where Jaz sort of pulls back to look at Flor and Flor says “What’s wrong?” and Jaz replies “You’re beautiful” and she puts her hand somewhere in her chest, and I became CONVINCED that she was going to propose right then and there and was gonna pull the ring out of her dress lmao. Incidentally, when I realized that Jaz had planned that whole evening for funsies and not specifically to propose, I was THRILLED at the fact that the show was giving us such fluff for no reason and thought it meant that when the ACTUAL proposal rolled around, it would be 5984759 times more romantic and life-ruining. Little did I know.

I liked reading your Flozmin recaps - I watched them when the show was airing and you brought it back for me. :) Something that struck me in your recaps and the comments - we speak almost exclusively about Jaz taking care of Flor/Jaz’s perspective in a scene/Jaz’s interaction with the sisters and while I get it in some sense - isn’t it weird how unequal it is? Just a thought.

There are still more coming, so look forward to that.

I don’t think that it’s really unequal, because things like love and devotion are beyond measurement. Like, you can say, “In this episode, Jaz brings Flor tea.” And that action is quantifiable, at face value, but the love that it conveys isn’t. Just like the things Flor does for Jaz aren’t quantifiable. I would never try to take a relationship with a partner and measure which of us did more for the other, absent some genuine lack of consideration. But that’s not what’s happening here. They are both attuned to the other’s needs, how they express love, and how they feel love. Jaz loves to take care of Flor. She loves to bring her tea and cook her food. We also see that she does this with other people. Even with the little mommy’s boys from the hotel, they come to the kitchen and she feeds them. That is how she shows Flor she loves her. But that’s not the only way to express love and that kind of expression isn’t what everyone else needs. It just happens to match up with how Flor feels best loved. Another reason they’re so perfectly matched. I think it was Caro? And someone else who were once talking about love languages and how Jaz expresses her love through acts of service.

And maybe some of that bias (at least in my posts) is about me. I identify more heavily with Flor. She and I have a lot in common. And Jaz is a lot of what I’d want in a partner, so that attracts me to her and makes me more prone to gush about her.

Part 16

I love it when Jaz does her thumbs up and thumbs down thing to emphasize what she’s talking about. And here comes the big speech about the origin of her tics. I can’t imagine how many parents whose kids have Tourtette’s have exacerbated it like Flor’s did.

Jaz comforts her and says how special and beautiful she is, and then it’s time to get out of this funk. We’re going to go for a walk and we’re going to have some fun. And I’m going to bring you some Love Tea.

Why is it such a chore for Carla to give a damn about anyone? And here comes the Love Tea. Her sisters may not want it, but Flor will definitely take your Love Tea. How quickly the mood turns around in that room.

I get why Flor slept in her clothes, because she was super not capable of changing, but why didn’t Jaz put on pajamas? That can’t be that comfortable to sleep in. When Jaz wakes up, instead of getting up, she just snuggles in closer.

Part 7

Sorry, Fede. Jaz was listening to you talk, but then Flor walked in and other people ceased to exist. And yes, of course, Jaz is already ready to take care of you, you poor little jailbird. Jaz actually looks like she’s in pain when Flor rejects her help. Damn accidental kiss ruined everything.

Jaz, of course, follows her, because she can’t stand the thought that Flor might be mad at her. Nothing happened, says Flor, even as she reels from what very much did happen. And she puts off the talk for another day.

The soap delivery scene, which is the one I believe Caro said was likely the one where Jaz was meant to tell Flor how she feels about her? Suddenly, the conversation has stopped flowing. Flor doesn’t know what to say or how to say it. Jaz gives her an out, because she just wants Flor in her life. Oh, Flor. You can’t lie to Jaz. She knows. And she wants you to be true to how you feel and tell Dani, but you can’t because you’ve been programmed not to. I get it, but I don’t have to like it.

Jaz is far too busy daydreaming to help you, Javo. Then Flor herself appears and Jaz doesn’t have to daydream anymore. Oh, I love how Jaz treats Javo when he gets to be a bit of a jerk to Flor. Like, she has already decided she’ll sell Javo down the river for Flor. No hesitation. And yes, of course, previously unproductive Jaz jumps at the chance to put everything together for Flor, simply because she asked. Adorable, awkward Flor, “Sub-chef.” Javo dishes out the teasing, but Jaz gives it right back.

Jaz, why do you have to be such a good person? Can’t you just be really selfish for a while and get your woman? I know, I know you can’t. But ugh. I could not set up a dinner for the woman I love and the fuckboy who’s stalking her. 

“I want you to be happy, Flor.” You freaked out at an accidental kiss, so I feel like I have no shot with you, so the next best thing is being in your life and helping make you happy in other ways, so I’ve done this thing for you, even though it’s actually killing me inside. NBD.

I’ll just pine for you from the kitchen.

Daniel, don’t flatter yourself. Jaz for sure hates you. And Flor, OMG. She could literally not be more obvious. She does all of this BECAUSE SHE’S IN LOVE WITH YOU. She doesn’t do this for ANYONE ELSE. She hates Daniel, the little babies who “work” at the hotel, all your sisters. But she loves YOU.

Javo knows. Of course he knows. How is this his first realization? Is this his first realization? Damn, Javo. Do you even go to this school? And Jazmín is forced to admit she has no idea what she’s doing or what her endgame is. As someone who has been in roughly this situation, with less than zero hope of my feelings being reciprocated, I feel for her.

Yes, Javo. That does suck. I’m sure Jaz really appreciates you pointing that out. She’s just trying to do her thing and cope with her feelings the best way she knows how. Step off. And go be happy, because Jaz isn’t.

this is just me being curious but why do you like the kiss in episode 109? i like it just bc of the fact that Jaz couldn't resist when Flor started to kiss her, and i think Juli tried to reflect that in the scene but it ended up looking a lil bit weird? lol i know she felt super guilty bc of Elena so of course she was conflicted af lol

why do I like the kiss from ep 109 so much…okay, this is an easy question and I have the answer but the hard part is gonna be to turn my incoherent italian thoughts into coherent english words so bear with me a minute.

First thing I love about it is the part leading up to the kiss and the way everything is set up. If you think about the fact that Flor made Jaz come with her to Lu’s house because she knew they were gonna be alone and basically because she just wanted to seduce her and kiss her…I just…isn’t it amazing? Flor I applaud you! And this is like a Flor thing, she’s always so fucking contorted with the way she does things, she has the ability to set up a whole situation just to do one simple thing and I find that so sweet. And Jaz can always tell when Flor is doing this weird thing so it’s even more adorable.

The whole time they’re at Lu’s, before the kiss, Jaz is so lost lol she doesn’t know what to do, she keeps touching her neck, her chest, avoiding looking at Flor in the eyes. I think she could clearly read Flor’s intentions and was just worried that if Flor kissed her or made a move on her she would not be able to say no and she was SO right. The way Jaz starts to go towards the door makes me laugh so much because she’s so not sure about it hahaha she’s like “it’s best if we leave” but then by the way she walks and by the way she slows down immediately as soon as Flor starts going after her you can tell she doesn’t wanna leave.

I love that as soon as Flor touches Jaz, as soon as she grabs her wrists, Jaz just stops fighting, she just gives in. She takes a deep breath, Flor says “come on, stay, stay” and Jaz looks at her lips and that’s it, she’s fucked, she knows she’s gonna let Flor do whatever she wants. (By the way I just LOVE the way Viole delivered all those whispered “dale, quedate, dale” ah, just so good)

And now to the kiss! THE NOSE BUMP! Oh my god don’t let me start about how cute that is and also Flor is a fucking tease I love her. Jaz is at her mercy in that moment and Flor knows it. After the nose bump is Jaz the one to get closer, she’s the one to move forward (it’s really subtle) she’s just like “bitch just kiss me please I can’t anymore”. And I just love this bit so much because they are enjoying it, they are enjoying the situation, the teasing, the flirting. Jaz can pretend all she wants but bitch was turned on from the start and she was loving every second of it. The way they breathe into each other’s mouths after that first kiss….uuuuuuuuUUUUUuUUU I hate the music in ep 109 much better the music they put in the flashback of that scene in ep 110. Then of course Flor JUMPING ON JAZ just getting as close as possible…I love it, I love the kisses where they kiss with their whole body (does this make sense?). Flor  wants to feel Jaz’s body against hers and I think that’s Flor’s way of letting Jaz know that she wants her not just romantically but also sexually. And this is another reason why I love this kiss so much. Moving on… I love the way Flor touches Jaz’s face, neck, the way she grabs Jaz’s head, the way her hands hold Jaz’s face guiding her during the kiss. Amazing. Then, when we come back from the cut…uuuUUuu, I love the way Flor is pulling Jaz from her neck and the way she touches her shoulder sliding her hand down Jaz’s arm. And then…the thing I probably love most about this kiss is Jaz’s moan after the kiss. biiiiiiiitch that’s like the best thing. And her voice after that is so. fucking. low. oh god. And here we have one of the many examples of “turned on Jazmín del Río” who needs to keep her eyes closed a little longer to collect herself. I love that we have Jaz who has to take a moment to cool down and on the other hand we have Flor who keeps teasing her, getting closer, looking at her lips. If they weren’t at Lu’s house they would have probably fucked or at least done something more than kissing for sure.

And you know, I think neither of them felt guilty about that kiss. Their conversation about that is something like “we should maybe feel guilty but deep down we don’t (?)”. Flor is like “I feel kinda guilty towards Elena” and Jaz is like “You? I should be the one feeling guilty”…see? Flor “kinda feels” Jaz “should feel” so, at the end they don’t feel guilty about it. And I think that they don’t feel guilty about it because Jaz is not really WITH Elena and she doesn’t really want to make things work between them, she just wants Flor, and Flor knows it. Also, they both want each other so much that everyone just fades away really. Last thing, I love Jaz’s reaction to Flor asking “and what are you feeling?” lol it’s so fast because Lu comes in but Jaz is like “well fuck, the only thing I know now is that I’m wet��� hahahahaah

Aaaaand I guess this is it :) I can say that the reason why that’s one of my favorite kisses has to do with a lot of things like the mood of the scene, the situation, the point of the story, Flor’s intentions, the fuel that started the kiss, the motivations behind it, the sexual tension, the emotional charge of the scene… it has to do with much more than just what their lips are doing.

Hey anon :) sorry for the super late reply. I LOVE Flor touching Jaz's shoulders, she has an obsession and I love it! I can't possibly pick a fave one or even just five but I did make a gifset about that because it's my favorite detail. And now I'm gonna do my te quiero/te amo top 5!

*yo te quiero* This is one of my favorite scenes and it also has one of my favorite hugs. This is also gonna be the only "te quiero" in this top 5 and that's because I feel like this could have been a "te amo". I love how Flor just says it, like she can't hold it in anymore, and I love that once she says it she just says it again and it feels almost liberating. And I love LOVE Jaz little "¿Sí?". Jaz looks at Flor with so much love it moves me. I love the fact that she's holding Flor's hands to keep her from hitting herself and the way she says "Yo también te quiero" is just perfect. And then of course the way she hugs and holds Flor just shows how much she loves her.

*te amo* I rewatched this scene last week and it truly hit me. Viole's acting is out of this world and the love confession is just so so so beautiful. I love the opening phrase of her "monologue" so much, it is one of my favorite quotes "No quiero pasar un minuto más de mi vida sin estar con vos" and the "Te amo" is perfect. I love how Flor takes a deep breath before saying it and how she shakes her head after. That head shake is everything, it's like a "I don't really know what I'm doing, the I love you just left my lips and I don't know what to do now, I've never felt like this before but I do love you and you need to know." She is so vulnerable here and so honest and I love her. It's a sad scene, because Jaz doesn't say it back but it's a beautiful scene and I just love Flor saying "te amo" to Jaz.

*¿vos me amas? muchísimo.* Well this is a simple, sweet, cute and warm I love you. It's one of my favorites because basically the whole scene is a love confession. Both of them are so happy here and their smiles are the most beautiful thing. And I just love them when they talk about having kids. And and and, that kiss is so so so perfect, Flor's hands on Jaz's back and Jaz's hand on Flor's leg. And I adore that whispered "Yo también" between kisses.

*te amo. yo también te amo.* The thing I love most about this is Flor's little head shake before saying "te amo", she just can't believe that Jaz is hers, she can't believe how lucky and how happy she is and I love everything about it. The time she takes to just look at Jaz before saying "te amo" is just an I love you in itself. And oh their smiles, the way Jaz gets closer and kisses her wife...perfection.

*¿donde estabas vos, que tarde tanto tiempo en encontrarte?* Again with the little head shake. I just love it. Anyway, this is so cute and they are so in love with each other I wanna cry. Flor's smile is everything. And I love the second "te amo" she says, she just can't stop saying it.

Okay, well there are a lot more scenes and I know I left out some of the "important" ones (the first time Jaz says it, or ep 113 when they have sex for the first time) but I don't know...these are the ones that I love the most.

Top 5 favorite sad/angsty scenes of Flozmin?

okay, I’ve been thinking about this answer for so so long, I rewatched some of my favorite scenes and ended up having like 10 fav sad/angsty scenes lol anyway, I think I made up my mind…

Every single scene of Jaz looking at Flor and Dani. That was my fav angsty part of their story. Jaz wants to be in Dani’s place so badly!!! Ok so I just recently got into Flozmin and initially when I watched it I thought it was cute but wasn't that into it. But after rewatching and reading up on your thoughts on them, I am hooked. Omg... I am slightly obsessed now and even started looking for the songs from the show. I'm seriously in love with Lo Tenga O No by David Bisbal. I feel inspired and I’m on a break from studying (sound design is a bitch) so I’m gonna tell you how I found out about flozmin (no one gives a shit but who cares). One day I was just searching the internet for a lesbian french film and while I searched and searched for a HD download link I found myself reading posts of people that where like “watch flozmin, flozmin is so cute, flozmin flozmin flozmin” (it’s always like this by the way, I search for one thing and then I lose myself in something else) and so I thought: mmm what is this flozmin? is it a show? but this word doesn’t make any sense. let’s google it. So I did google it and I looked at a couple of gifs and then I saw it, the one gif that got me watching this shit: it was a gif from the “nuestra última noche” scene, and it was a gif about Jaz taking Flor’s cup and getting closer and when I saw the way they looked at each other…I was like “OH MY GOD I NEED TO WATCH THIS WWUWBDBDFDFKFK” then I spent 2 days searching for clips with subs and found out about flozminsubs and then I spent a whole weekend watching everything and when Flor had the first dream about marrying Jaz…I knew, I knew I was totally fucked.
