You meet a HQ volleyball team on your vacation #1
Tumblr media
Length: 1500 words
Genre: a little fluff & slice of life
#1: Karasuno (beach)
You look up to the deep-blue sky, shadowing your eyes while searching for a cloud, but no matter how hard you tried, you can’t find any. No wonder why, it is the hottest day you’ve seen that summer. The air is heavy from the heat and your throat feels really dry even though you’ve drank from your bottle just a couple of seconds ago.
The beach is crowded as usual which makes you feel a little lonely. You try and not think about that as force your way through the people, fixing your eyes on the sea.
The aquamarine water in front of you seems so fresh, so inviting. You just can’t wait to get into it. You just can’t wait to sink into the infinite water and forget all about your worries and struggles, and actually enjoy your summer break.
You quickly throw your towel to an empty spot on the ground covered in sand, then stripped out of your clothes. Apply some sunscreen in a hurry, put your hair up in a ponytail then you start rushing towards the water.
As you get closer, it keeps getting bigger and now it’s the only thing you see. You instantly forget about everything, your grades that didn’t end up being good enough, your friends who didn’t even care to accompany you to the beach, your parents who have to work all day leaving you all alone at home…
And you’re ready to take the last step to jump into the water…
And your senses are blinded by the beautiful, luring water, so much that you don’t hear the alarming yell.
You only feel something, an unknown power harshly hitting your head. Then you lose your balance and everything goes black.
The first thing that reaches you in the blank darkness are the many different voices.
You’re hovering in the infinite black for a few seconds until their meaning finally gets to you. And suddenly, everything comes back.
You’re conscious now but – despite that your body immediately wants to move – you stay still, and continue to listen to those sounds.
– Bakageyama! Your toss was too low, I told you to bring it higher! – An excited voice claims loudly. – Now look at what you’ve done!
– It was your fault! – Retorts someone. – You can’t even handle my easiest tosses, idiot!
– Someone strangle these imbeciles – joins the dialogue a low voice who doesn’t sound like excited at all, almost like its owner was bored to death.
– Hinata! Kageyama! Calm down! – orders someone, while other sound like they’re holding back their laughter in the background.
– Is she gonna be okay, Suga? – asks someone in a worried, or rather scared tone.
– Stop shaking, Asahi, she’s fine. – The voice comes from directly above you, so suddenly that your heart skips a beat.
You open your eyes slightly so you can catch a glimpse of the guys around you.
The last words came from the boy kneeling next to you. He has silver hair and eyes – you state as you examine him through your eyelashes.
– Are you sure? Shouldn’t we take her to the infirmary?
– She’s gonna wake up in a minute, I’m sure – replies the silver-haired boy, Suga, then he turns at you.
You’re caught. It’s too late to close your eyes, so you just open them wide and look up to him. His whole face brightens up as he smiles at you.
– Good morning! Are you alright?
The whole group goes silent and everyone looks at you. You avert your eyes in fluster, then slowly nod. Although the back of your head does feel a little heavy where you got hit, it was bearable.
– Ah, good – sighs Suga but the tall, bearded man next to him looks even more relieved. – You scared us a little with your faint. Hinata, you should apologise for hitting her so badly!
– I’m really sorry! – An orange-headed little guy jumps in front of you and although he was arguing with his friend a few moments ago, he seems regretful now. – It was the low set, my hand slipped, I wasn’t aiming at you, I promise!
– I’m glad – you mutter, touching the back of your head. You feel really embarrassed as so many people are looking at you, but when you take a better look at them, they actually seem like nice people.
– I apologise too – says an older looking guy with a warm smile. He places his hands on Hinata’s and a grumpy looking, black-haired boy’s shoulders. – My kids can be quite feral.
– You’re not their dad… are you? – You instantly regret asking this stupid question from a guy who’s clearly in his late high-school years but luckily he just starts laughing along with some other boys.
– Daichi-san! He really is kinda our dad at this point! – yells a very short boy with his hands on his hips.
– Dadchi-san! – adds the guy wearing no shirt next to him.
– Well, I’m the captain of the team – explains Daichi kindly. – So you could say I’m some sort of leader figure.
– Team? What team? – you ask.
– Volleyball! – shouts Hinata. This one word is enough to make him so excited that he grabs your hand and makes you stand up. He points at the other side of the beach. – We play there, in groups of four! Kageyama and Suga-san are the setters and I’m the ace of our team…
– She’s probably not interested in this – interrupts a blonde guy whose voice you remember. When your eyes were closed, he sounded salty but actually seeing him up-close makes him look at least three times saltier. A tall, green-haired boy stands next to him, nodding to his words with a sweet smile. – Just let her go back to her group already.
– Ah, you’re right, Tsukishima! – agrees Suga to his words. – So? Where’s your group? We can walk you back.
– I- I came alone.
You hate to say that out loud. Now everyone will pity you and make your loneliness a hundred times worse.
You lower your head… Only to look up again when the orange boy next to you excitedly yells.
– Oh! Then she can join us!
You stare at him in disbelief but you’re the only one who’s surprised by his words.
– Good idea, Shoyo! – shouts the other short boy, then he points at himself. – My name is Nishinoya, the libero! Great to have you in the group!
– I don’t… I don’t want to be inconvenient… – you start stuttering.
– You’re not – smiles Suga –, it’s the least we can do for you after our children attacked you.
– But I’m really…
– Come on, we need one more player anyway since someone has to be the referee.
You try to refuse again but it’s actually harder this time. The idea of playing with them seems actually nicer and nicer with every passing moment. Volleyball was always much fun and the boys seem like a good company.
– I can teach you my Rolling Thunder if you play with us – says Nishinoya but the others instantly boo him.
– That won’t make her come!
– You know your thunder is just a regular receive, right, Noya-san? – asks Tsukishima with a contemptuous smirk.
– Don’t be cocky with your elders!
You can’t help but smile at them, then finally give with a nod. Tsukishima and Noya keep on arguing but the others ignore them and ask questions about you as they lead you to the volleyball net.
Hinata explains to you how playing in the sand is so different, Suga and Daichi ask how you do in school, even the bearded man, Asahi and the shy Yamaguchi tries to get to know you.
You soon begin to play beach volleyball and it has the same effect on you as the water. You really do forget about everything and have fun with the dorky boys who are really funny and amusing, even without realizing it.
Noya really tries the so called Rolling Thunder, but only half-succeeds since he fells into a sandcastle a little kid is building. They calm him down by giving him Kageyama’s milk which the setter is not particularly happy about. Yamaguchi tries a floating serve and starts happily blushing when he succeeds, immidiately turning to Tsukishima, who nods with a hidden smile. Suga teases Asahi so much, Daichi has to cut in. When Tanaka scores, he can’t rip off his shirt since he’s already shirtless, so as a compensation, he shouts so loudly that a kid nearby starts crying. It turns out it was the same child who’s castle was ruined, but the milk isn’t enough this time, so Hinata – who’s the best with children – and you have to play with him a little in the sand. Later you go back and with the help of the aspiring ace, you score a point and everyone cheers for you.
You only realise how much time you’ve spent with them when the sun starts setting down. You only realise how much you’ve enjoyed yourself with them. And how don’t feel alone on your vacation any more.

Oct 26th, Monday 08:17
He was late.
Jens knew he was, as he passed around the corner through the school’s entrance. Having reached the school, he finally slowed down a little, catching his breath. His lungs were burning from his sprint up here from the bus station.
He had overslept after staying up late yesterday cleaning off a broken glass bottle and the remaining pieces of a ceramic bowl, after his mother had accidently dropped them while doing dishes.
It had been too heavy, she had said and apologised over and over and over again in tears, until he had accompanied her to bed, where he sat her down and treated the nasty cut on her inner palm. Thankfully Lotte seemed to not have woken up by the noises. He helped his mom change into her sleeping clothes as she cried, and finally tucked her in.
He had believed her the moment she said it, when he rushed into the kitchen from his room upstairs, telling the guys something about his mom needing help. No specifics.
It had been eleven at night, when he went down to sit on the floor for quite a while, staring at the shards in the bright lit room.
They had simply been too heavy.
Jens felt at fault just as much. He could have cleaned up after dinner, instead of excusing himself to play Among Us with Moyo and Aaron, chatting away over discord about random stuff. But then again, he was only seventeen, he should be allowed some time off, right? But on the other hand, he had spent most of the day over at Robbe’s being only back for dinner at 8. The least he could have done that day was cleaning the damn dishes.
It had been half past one, when he turned off the light next to his bed and finally caught some sleep.
Monday morning hadn’t started great either.
First he got up late.
Second he rushed to get Lotte ready to drop her off at school, as they realised half way there that her science book was still on her desk at home. So Jens rushed back and got it and then hurried to catch his bus, after she barely made it to class on time.
And of course he missed this fucking bus too. The world truly was against him. He could have cried for these ten minutes he sat at the bus stop and stared down on the pavement, trying to calm his breathing.
But now that he finally made it all the way to school, he felt exhausted. So instead of going inside, why not skip first period, he thought. Surely he had done enough to deserved a break. Thus Jens settled to sit on one of the tables to his left, His back against the wall, he looked up into the sky for some minutes, breathing deep and slow. Until he heard a door open that startled him into motion. He quickly got to his feet, ready to greet and apologise to a teacher. The promise to immidiately find his class room was ready on his lips.
Monday morning maybe wasn’t as bad after all.
Jens was pretty sure the world stopped for just the tiniest moment, as his eyes settled on a boy who had left the building. He was pretty. Was the first thing he thought. Followed by: What the fuck, Jens?
It took him a second longer to take his eyes of him and see Amber by his side, chatting gleefully away, pointing to whatever she explained to him. Jens certainly was impressed. He may show him the class rooms and cafeteria and be done with it. What else was there to talk about. It was a school. Surely they must have them in the Netherlands as well.
Though that implied that the boy, who had stolen all of Jens’s attention, also was indeed the new student. What was his name? Luc? No, that didn’t seem right. Shit, he should have memorised that name.
„Jens?“ Amber asked puzzled, as the two came to a stop infront of him. He hadn’t notice them getting closer, even now he still downright watched the boy shamelessly. He never knew he had a thing for colours, but looking into the blue eyes in front of him, Jens figured he may do have a favourite. It was all just very confusing how affected Jens was. The boy clearly didn’t get that. Thank god, that he wasn’t telepathic. So the new student quickly looked around and behind himself as if to figure out what Jens could be interested in. That at least woke him up and he focused on Amber.
„Sorry, I was just in thoughts. What’s up?“ Jens was quite proud how normal and relaxed he sounded after everything that had happend til now. But here he was not letting any of it show on his face, or in his voice for that matter. Acting was definitely going on his list of future occupations.
„I could ask you that as well. What are you doing here?“ Amber replied, sounding a bit worried.
„Oh, right. I didn’t hear my alarm, missed my bus and when I got here, I kinda thought, why even bother.“ Jens explained nonchalant and shrugged, with a grin on his face, showing his teeth.
The girl couldn’t help herself, so even as she shook her head, a smile graced her lips. And even better, the boy next to her actually snorted at that. He was very pleased with himself. If Jens could be or look any happier, in that moment he must have.
„You are so stupid.“ Amber sighed: „Well, do you wanna come with us then? We are halfway done, but I wanted to get to the gym, labs and cafeteria before making our way back to the secretary’s office. Maybe you two can compare your timetables as well, just to see where you can help him out, if he needs it?“
„Sure, sounds good. I don’t really had much planed anyway. Other than cloud watching, that is.“ Jens slung his backpack over his shoulder and followed suit.
„Oh I’m Lucas by the way, nice to meet you...Jens, right?“ The boy introduced himself still smiling while looking back over his shoulder. He in fact even winked at him before he continued: „I guess we do the whole proper hand shake thing another time, huh?“
Jens really liked him. God no. Scared that his words would betray him, he simply nodded. Meanwhile Amber fell right back into her grand tourguide mode and began to talk about all the teachers Lucas would have in class.
The most surprising thing was, that Lucas actually seemed to listen to her. He even asked some questions and gave his opinion at the right times. So Jens just walked behind them and kept to himself, content to have an excellent excuse to watch the boy infront of him and forget about everything that had troubled his mind not even twenty minutes ago.
He decided that monday morning was perhaps not completely awful.

Will you ever notice me? (Arthur Morgan x Original Female Characters)
Summary:  Dutch and his boys found a girl hidden inside wrecked shack near their camp. She introduces herself as Iris and starts leading outlaw life with Van der Linde gang, quickly developing feelings towards one, special cowboy. However there is big year gap between them and Arthur sees Iris just as a kid...And girl won’t take that!
Authors notes: TO THOSE WHO READ THIS - THANK YOU! I can see some of you leave hearts under my post on regular basis and even if it’s only one or two people, I will write for you. I have a question for you - would you see a crossover in this story? I have an idea for The Witcher crossover happening in 10 to 15 chapters. Any feelings about that? It’s just another chapter and you can find the rest of them following masterlist on my blog if you  want to read more of my  fanfiction. Hope you gonna enjoy it! Words count: 2816 Chapter 14 Arthur got up from bed with shitty mood this day, thinking about events from few night's before. How could Iris be so cold to him? Man couldn't get away from these thoughts.  But he also knew that he deserved much more than only few harsh words. He was a bastard so she was dealing with him like with one. Woman was merciful enough to keep him around, at least that's what Arthur told himself. One thing couldn't get off his head. Where was she? Whatever he tried, Arthur couldn't find her recently, but the tent was here and girl's presence was visible, marked with her clothes, thrown on the floor or on the bed. He suddenly heard that someone is breaking glass behind the trees somewhere around the tent he was sleeping in.
- Glad it ain't your job - Iris was leaning against the tree. She looked different today, fresh, happy and she wasn't hangover. Girl was dressed similar to Arthur, black trousers with suspenders, dark green shirt, gun belt, high boots and her hair was collected in messy bun on the top of her little head. She was talking to Sean, who was shooting towards empty beer bottles.
- What about you, you can't do that to, can ya? - boy's accent was strong and thick, Sean visibly mocking Iris.
- Maybe you want to go with me and see me in action so you won't underestimate me anymore - woman threw him challenging gaze.
- What are you both up to, kids? - Arthur approached them, taking position on the opposite side to Iris's.
- Sean decided he's gonna train shooting skills. But there is one thing, bastard's drunk.
- That gives you twice much chances to shot someone! - Arthur spreaded his arms as honest and hearty laugh escaped his lungs.
- Stop scolding me, you are not even older than me, Iris! And by the way, you were the one who went yesterday downtown and killed some folk to pay your bounty, when half the state is hoping to shoot you for two thousand dollars. It was supposed to be a secret between her and Sean and Arthur threw her angry look right away. She wouldn't use his help and she meant it. The crease between his brows remained deep and his ocean eyes were locked on very certain person.
- Well, look at me, paying two thousand dollars fine for my head and killing multiple fellers when all you have to do is shot 5 bottles that ain't moving and you can't do that, can ya?
- I asked you to help me, not to scold me - Sean approached her, lowering his tone to calm and obedient so Arthur wouldn't hear what comes next - Don't make me ask him, he would laugh me off.
- Oh, that's who you are afraid of! Never would thought about that - she said out loud, looking at Arthur and smirking - Ye knew I learned form him, eh?
- You think you are so much better? Okay, give it a go, your best shot, Rhiannon! Iris threw him look of someone who's done with his shit and in the nick of time she pulled out a gun and almost at the same moment bottle cracked. She wasn't as fast as Arthur, but it was still impressive.
- Grow up - she said and turned around on heel.
- Oh come on, I'm paying you for that, don't go away, please? - Sean changed his tactics immidiately.
- You're paying for my compliments, not for real advices, attaboy. And I cannot be bought. Arthur stayed out of it, but it was amusing to watch as Iris is roasting everybody around wherever she can. That's his girl.
- I think you are too harsh on me, that's all - Sean got back to shooting, throwing looks above his arm to be sure Iris is still watching him.
- Oh, poor boy, some little lady is making you cry. You can ask our old Arthur for help, if ya don't like me - she patted Arthur's arm and Sean frowned.
- I won't listen to no Englishman!
- I don't like the way you talk to her, kid - Arthur scoffed, giving boy judgemental eyes - Guess you just lost chances with both of us.
Sean threw him disappointed look and got back to his task. Iris left Sean and Arthur followed her, grabbing her arm suddenly and turning her around.
- I told ya not to go anywhere alone, I offered you the money that could save you, why you keep pushing me and my help away? - he was towering her, looking down with disappointment. Iris's back rested against the tree and she tool deep breath.
- Arthur...darling...I told you I can't use your help, especially when it comes to money. Look at us, the last thing I need is to be financialy dependent. We don't get along at all.
- And why is that, what is wrong with me taking care of you? - man's palm rested near Iris's head when the elbow was straightened, closing one of possible ways for her to leave him hanging right now.
- You're not the one that should do that, Mister! You have woman you care about in your life, Arthur, her name's Mary.
- It's different with you - he murmured, averting his gaze.
-It is, you are right. There is nothing between us and you try to pretend it is.
- Nothin' between us, huh? And all those feelings we share? Since I met you my heart is fluttering as soon as I see you and I feel like a fool - Arthur muttered under his breath, it was crystal clear he hated speaking about his emotions.
- Feelings aren't enough sometimes. I shut this door, Arthur. It's over.
- You're breaking up with me?
- Arthur, we were never properly together in the first place, so calm down - her tone was serious but girl caressed his cheek and smiled - I'm sure I'm not the only girl that can warm you up at nights.
- You are the only one to me - he shaken his head with disbelief and clenched his jaw righ after, looking away like betrayed dog.
- I am not, you think I am naive enough to believe in that? You have past and it's chasing you, I ain't girl for you.
- What are you saying, kid? - Arthur's eyes narrowed.
- You're sleeping with Mary, right? At least that's what all red lights were showing me. All those letters, staying away, not coming home at night. I can't blame you, she's beautiful and more mature...more like you - Iris's voice was full of jealousy. Arthur suddenly grabbed her chin and kissed her. The feeling coming with the kiss was unbearable, sensation fallin on Iris, tying up knot inside her stomach. She suddenly felt butterflies trying to get outside her chest and blood running faster in her veins. But girl quickly realised it's her heart, racing so much it almost hurt. His chapped, plump lips were doing the job with softening her fasade, that's for sure. Iris couldn't help but run fingers through Arthur's golden hair. His breath was warm and stubble on Arthur’s face tickled a bit, causing shivers in lower part of Iris’s spine. That was it, he hunted her down again. She purred, sucking onto his lower lip and smiled dreamily.
- Do you think I could do something like that with anyone else but you? - Arthur asked - How could you assume I cheated on you and wasn't even asking me for my side of the story? I never did, especially not with Mary.
- Wait, does that mean that all those things that happened to us...are my fault? - girl's face suddenly dropped, brows forming into frown.
- I'm not blaming you, even if it is I can't - Arthur's forehead rested against hers - I should say something too, but I just thought I am too old for you, or maybe too stupid or to harsh when it comes to our intimacy and that's why you are slipping from my hads so quickly - Iris noticed that his eyes were glimmering.
- Hey, I am cold bitch but I wouldn't treat you so badly only for those things - she whispered surprised, her breath unsteady.
- I am not much to look at, I assumed you just wanted someone better...but I am the best for you, girl, I can feel we match just like puzzles does - it was the smoothest line Arthur Morgan ever used on anyone.
- You are unbelievable! - she scoffed - And that's why you were gone all days every time there was a letter from Mary?
- I am a fool - Arthur run fingers through his hair in nervous manner - I shouldn't help her, yer right, it looked so bad when now I remind myself...I just had this very wrong feeling sayin' I owe her somethin'. She was asking me about lot of things and I felt like idiot running her errands thinking it's just help that she needs after becoming a widow and I soon as she tried to...convince me I should ignore some young girl running after me and make love to her I escaped from Mary, a-and then I was diagnosed, assured by doctor I'm gonna die, I couldn't let you watch it- - Arthur was rambling on and on, falling apart at the same time. But then Iris grabbed his both arms, looking at him firmly but with genuine and consider smile on her rosy lips.
- I would never leave you, even if you'd die tomorrow. Heart doesn't work like this, I care about you, even if we don't have good time every day, Arthur. I would stay by your side, no matter what- Arthur's eyes became stromy again and he pulled Iris into tight embrace, burrying face in her hair. Man tried to hide it but Iris knew he's iritated with her little sugarcoating. Her small hands were running circles around his arms and back, letting him calm down a little.
- I was afraid...to infect you, Iris. I was already dirty, living like a savage, no need to do the same to ya.
- Shh, I'm not mad anymore - her heart was melting away on sight of Arthur Morgan who's trying to get her back. Maybe she was simple, so what?
- That means you gonna stay? I think you suit there.
- I will stay even if it's gonna be here, in this camp till the end of the world, you know it  - she pecked his nose gently - We just have to sit down someday and talk about communication between us.
- You sound so smart sometimes even though all you do is stupid and reckless - Arthur mocked her.
- Its more about me without you, I need to be protected - she whispered to his ear, observing as this boyish grin appeared on Arthur's lips. Iris planned to do that more often, clearly seeing through him and his low self-esteem. Man needed to be reassured once in a while that he’s important.
Arthur cheered up suddenly, grabing Iris into rough bear hug, messing up her hair a little and grinning like stupid.
- And mister? I told you to quit smoking! - girl barked out trying to be intimidating but it caused only vibrations in Arthur's chest as he couldn't help but laugh.
Iris thought that she was light headed and drunk with love, but Arthur was just whole new level. All man was doing all days was following Iris around the camp as much as he could, looking ridiculous. If she was washing his shirts, he was scolding her for overworking herself, every time Iris chopped vegetables he was chiming in, helping her and kicking Mr Pearson out and hugs from the back happened often, usually stuttering her since Arthur could take really silent steps if he wanted to. Iris didn't mind though, she was adoring idea of hot, dangerous gunslinger falling on their knees for her even if for a second. Every moment she was reminding herself first time she met Arthur's stormy gaze, her knees were a little bit shaky.
Days passed and girl still couldn't figure out how to ask Arthur if they can share a tent. It should be obvious but on first night after their reconcile he mumbled  ''goodnight'' and disappeared behind tent's flaps. Iris couldn't tell if she should follow, so stayed away and now it was another stupid problem she made up to have thing to worry about. In her head it looked like small gesture showing he's not ready for her to come and turn his life upside down again. She sighed and started getting herself ready to go to bed, undressing and stretching her muscles, listening with satisfaction as her whole skeleton cracked. She still was hurt after train robbery, that one was tough and running away from bounty hunters one day was even tougher. Air was warm tonight, a bit stuffy also dark clouds presaged storm. Iris decided she's gonna sleep naked and clothes she owned were throwed inside big, wooden trunk.
- Hey, Iris, can you come over for sec- - Arthur froze in place seeing her naked with eyes wide and mouth open in "o" shape.
- Go away! - she squeked, throwing pillow in his face.
- Jesus, I'm sorry! - Arthur looked away quickly, but his cheeky smile showed otherwise.
- You should knock, Mister! - girl said, covering herself quickly, not noticing small peeks Arthur was throwing at her ass and hips when she was turned around.
- Sorry, I wasn't expectin' you like that...- he said with goofy smile.
- Like what? It's too warm tonight to sleep wearing anything and suddenly I think I'm gonna melt away - Iris waved her hands with motion towards complexion, causing a little bit of cold air caress her glimmering face.
- Yeah, you- I mean, it's hot, y'er right - Arthur's hands became fidgety, he was picking on his nails nervously, blushing like a boy.
- And you should knock 'cause there are plenty things I can do naked - Iris mocked him, causing motion of his hands to speed up.
- Girls do that too?! Are you thinking of me when you-
- You pig! - she thew another pillow at him.
- I'm sorry, I wasn't expectin' you- I wasn't expecting that - his eyes eagerly run from up to down - Iwantedtoinviteyoutocomeoverplease.
- Huh? Are you drunk, Arthur?
- A bit, yes - it clearly wasn't a bit, Iris could tell, chatty tongue, jazzy hands, next thing is gonna be yelling how much he wants to cuddle her - I wanted to show you my new bed, it's bigger.
- Well, good for you, you always whined your back hurts - Iris shrugged.
- It's bigger so you could sleep with me - suddenly he got bolder, approaching her and slithering his hands onto her waist.
- Oh, I thought I wasn't invited - Iris pretended to look away and being irritated.
- You're right, I should do it properly. My lady, would you follow me to my bed and spend the night in my arms? - Arthur offered her a hand like he was asking Iris for a dance.
- Now that's something I like to hear, I would be honored, Mr Morgan - Iris said, picking up pillow from the floor and bringing it along with herself to Arthur's tent. New bed was really big and he was so creative to place few candles around, making mood more intimate and romantic. Iris whistled, showing she's impressed and rested on his bed, trying it out, rolling around for a minute.
- Ah, sorry, I should ask you. I'm little bit sticky - she said, her face glimmering from sweat.
- No no, go on - Arthur said, plastering his eyes to her body. He rocked a little bit in place as erection was growing hard in man's pants. Arthur's trying to look anywhere around, but it was impossible. Small feet, then slim calves, tights that had just enough cushion do lie down on them comfortable and then those round hips with neat buttocks.
- How much did you have today, Mister? -  Iris raised her brow.
- A few beers, they lured me into that, I swear - Arthur said trying out his convincing tone and waving hands to show he's innocent.
- Surely - she purred, lowering her voice in sexy maneuver - I heard your voice, how it was again, hmm, ring dang doo?
- Maybe - he said, blushing briefly. Oh, Iris could do anything to him now and he would wag his tail like a puppy.
- You wanna come here or what?
- Y-you know, I'm good here for now - he rocked on the chair again. Iris noticed small tent rised in his pants and smirked.
- That's a shame - she sighed with fake disappointment - But I'm perfectly comfortable here so - she said stretching a little bit, her nipples showing of through chemise - Goodnight, Mister. Arthur gulped.  She's gonna be the death of him.

Jesse Lingard Imagine- Rashy’s spare bedroom
“Jess i’m just asking!” Y/N shouted back at him. Jesse was standing in the kitchen and Y/N in the doorway. “You were the one person who never said anything about my dedication to football! You do care though that my money from it keeps a roof over your head now that you’ve worked your way into my house and all!Got yourself a nice car out of the relationship too huh?” Jesse spits back at her with a disgusted look on his face. Y/N was entirely taken back by his retaliation to the slight criticism she gave him over his clothing brand.
Y/N loved that Jesse had found a second passion but when she asked about how United were doing, he immidiately became defensive. Y/N had simply asked him how many hours he was going to be in his offices this week compared to how many at training. She thought nothing of it before Jesse started to raise his voice.
Y/N knew the best thing to do when Jesse was angry, was to walk away. He was like a child when they fought; always raising his voice, always needing the last word and always, ALWAYS refusing to listen to the other persons opinions. She made it as far as the door before Jesse had managed to insult her. She knew it was coming, something to fire back so that he could release some of his anger. Never did she think he would think of her as a gold digger though.
“Wow” Y/N almost whispered to herself. She caught eye contact with Jesse who already looked guilty, before turning on the balls of her feet and making her way upstairs. She grabbed her handbag and shoved in her strappy black top and some tartan-looking pjama bottoms. Until now, she hasn’t noticed that tears where starting to roll down her cheeks. She wasn’t sobbing or breaking down, it was more of a silent, exhausted moment. The tears simply fell without any extra emotion.
Making her way downstairs she grabbed her keys and made her way to the front door. Before she could get to the door she noticed Jesse standing in front of it. He might aswell if tattooed guilt across his face cause his eyes were drowning in it. Y/N let out a sigh, “please move”
“Y/N come on, babe, you know I just get angry so quick I don’t mean it.” Jesse pleaded, taking steps away from the door towards her. “Jesse I’m leaving the house YOU pay for cause I’m not a leech or a gold digger or however you want to say it. I am simply...leaving.” She released the last word on a sigh. Y/N refused to let Jesse see any kind of emotion on her face; no anger, no sadness and certainly no pain. Quickly she pulled away from her boyfriend who put his hand out to take hers. “Goodbye”.
After getting herself in her car and out the driveway, Y/N realised she didn’t know where to go. Her whole family lived miles and miles away and she didn’t want to disrupt her friends. After driving for what felt like way too long, she ended up at Marcus and Lucia’s house. She put in their gate code and sat in their driveway for a second. It was 7:30pm so she was sure they were still up but somehow couldn’t bring herself to get out the car.
Tears fell down her face faster than ever as she locked the car behind her and headed towards the house. Y/N heard the dogs bark and Marcus tell them to be quiet. She looked back at the car, this is her last chance if she wants to dash. Her head snaps back round as Marcus opens the door. “Y/N? I didn’t know you were coming over tonight”.
Marcus meant not harm at all by his words but the thought of having to explain everything to him, sent you into a breakdown. “Hey, Hey no no no no no don’t cry please don’t cry, I’m sorry you know you’re always welcome here” Marcus says in a frenzy, feeling very guilty. He pulls Y/N into the house, shuts the door and wraps his arms round her
Y/N and Marcus had always been close. She knew Marcus before Jesse as she knew Lucia from Uni. Marcus stood with his arms around Y/N slightly swaying her to try calm her down. “Listen I’m not the best at relationships and lovey dovey shit, I’ll get Luce for you” he says, visibly stressed at the fact Y/N hasn’t stopped crying. Y/N let out a slight laugh and nodded.
Two hours later and Y/N is curled up in her pjs mad from her handbag, in the spare room. Y/N can hear mumbling in the hall. “I don’t know what you did Jess but fuck me, you really tore away that girls confidence. Yeah sobbing Jess. Av never seen a person more destroyed over their partner” Y/N closed her eyes and silently prayed that Marcus was on the phone and that Jesse wasn’t really in the house. But ofcourse nothing was going her way that night.
Light flooded the room as the door to the room was opened slowly. Y/N heard Jesse physically sigh but she didn’t dare move. She knew he knew she wasn’t really asleep but Y/N really didn’t wanna discuss it with him right now. Jesse stripped down and climbed in the bed beside her.
“Ano you’re not really asleep but for the purpose of my apology I’ll let pretend you are” Y/N let a smile crack on her face. She missed his dumb humour. Thank god she was facing the other way or it already would have been game over.
“I say things in my anger, stupid things, that don’t mean anything and I really just want you to know that I only say them cause i have no backbone. Only a cowardly man insults his girlfriend for something as insignificant as money. You have never asked for a single penny off me, well maybe when you ask me to get milk on the way home, but never for anything expensive. You even cried for like three days when I offered just to contribute towards getting you a new car. Then cried for about two weeks when I actually bought you one. I’m just sorry okay babe? I was gonna give you space but Rashy told me how hurt you were and I didn’t wanna sleep in the bed alone knowing I could give you some peace of mind. I love you yano”
Jesse turned from on his elbow, facing Y/N to lying on his back. He looked down when the covers started moving as Y/N cuddled into him. Loving the heat his body was producing. “Love you too, goodnight” Y/N mumbled with her eyes shut. Jesse knew it wasn’t over but to sleep with a little peace of mind, despite being Marcus’ spare bedroom, was better than being alone.

|Not the Same| Exo 10th member AU| Pt.1
~Exo x Kim Xinzhi(platonic)//Changkyun x Kim Xinzhi// other idols x Kim Xinzhi(platonic)~
Summary: Xinzhi hasn’t gone to an award show in years. Many things have changed. There are new idols to meet, and cameras to greet. With her members by her side she experiences MAMA after such a long time. Having fun watching performances it doesn’t take long to get comfortable. With reminders of what was lost and what was gained not everything comes easily. Although she is used to flustering others, she also doesn’t expect her attention to focus on a particular mischevious rapper.
Word count: 3,000<
Type: fluff/crack/angst
Warnings: pills, identity confusion, mature talk, sexual talk
A/N: Okay so i had a few things planned before this, but i got inspiration for this and soon all i know was that my hands were on the keyboard and words were on the screen. I’m going to have to split it up into two parts (since i don’t have regular acess to a computer and don’t get mine until christmas). Don’t worry the second part will be short. I didn’t mean for the cliffhanger. I hope you like it. Anyways please dont be afraid to talk to me or to request!!~Moon.

Tumblr media
I had been peacefully sleeping. A deep dreamless sleep that soothed the ache in my muscles, and made me forget of all the dark things constantly tormenting me. The things i hid from my brothers. The things i hid with my smile. It was one of the best nights i had in a while. Until someone decided it was time for me to greet the morning light.
“Wake up you spawn of satan” something hit my face making my nose scrunch and hold back a sneeze. Groaning i blinked the sleep away wiping the drool from my mouth. The soft sheets had formed a cocoon around me while i was asleep. This bed was better than the one i had in the dorms. The company had rented out a place for us for our stay in Japan. It wasn’t huge and extravagant, but everyone had their own rooms. As my eyes opened i saw Jongdae standing next to my bed with the damned pillow in his hands. His hair was a mess, and his eyes were clouded with sleep. “Ugh, what the hell?? What year is it?" He simply raised a brow shaking his head.
“That’s not what matters. Think more... what day is it.” I racked my brain still in the middle of waking up. As I narrowed my eyes, it took a minute or two for it to hit me. I gasped and looked up at him as he nodded in comfirmatiom.
“MAMA” the word left both our mouths and I practically fell out of the bed. I flew out of the room with Jongdae following after me with a smile and leaving the pillow on my bed. I face palmed and huffed as my socks slid at every stride. How could I forget. The only reason we were in Japan was because of MAMA.  I ran towards the kitchen screaming when i stubbed my toe on the ledge of a table in the living room.
“See, what’d i tell you? Time to pay up,” I heard Sehun’s voice coming from the kitchen while i soothed my throbbing toe. “I can’t belive i actually had faith in her. You would think she would learn after the last nine times.” I heard the dissapointed voice of Jongin soon after. Jongdae walked right past me not even sparing me a glance as he entered the kitchen. Quickly getting up I burst into the room immidiately lunging at Sehun who was busy counting the money in his hands.
“YAH, you moved it didn’t you? I hope that pays for your hospitall bill after i get you jerk!!” Sadly, i wasn’t able to claim revenge as the arms of the leader wrapped around my torso picking me up and setting me down on a stool a safe distance from the black haired idiot now sticking his tongue out at me. I grabbed the spoon set in front of me waving it in warning. Junmyeon simply sat down next to me sending Sehun a warning glance which made him turn in his seat dropping the fork he had begun pointing in my direction.
Anyone could tell Junmyeon had a soft spot for the two maknaes. What they didn’t know was that he favored me. Smirking in victory i turned to him. “So, what’s the plan Myeonie?” he turned to me with soft eyes eyeing the spoon in front of me. “We need to go to the company building and run over the choreography a few more times for our performance tonight. After that. we’re all going to take showers and we’ll head over to the stylists and start getting ready.” SM had a company building in Japan that I had only visited once or twice. It would be weird walking through this building’s halls and not see Heechul running from the manager, or not hearing the music blasting from whichever practice room Taemin was in.
Groaning I let my head fall on the marble of the island we were currently sitting at. He poked my side making me jump. “Cheer up. If you kids behave i’ll take all of you out to ice cream shop you guys love so much when we get back home. I’ll even let you have those noodles you aren’t allowed to have”. His words immidiately made me jump up in my seat. He rolled his eyes when Chanyeol shouted “That’s not fair’ as he was dragged in by Baekhyun drowsily rubbing his eyes. “I DESERVE IT” huffing I looked away from the pair as Chanyeol sat next to me with Baekhyun on his other side.
I looked at Chanyeol on my left side. That’s where he usually sat. I could’t stop my eyes from drifting to the stools on the other side. That’s where they used to sit. In front of me. I was taken out of my daze by a hand poking my forehead. Coming back to my senses I saw Kyungsoo placing a bowl of cereal in front of me. I grinned at him, and he softly shook his head ruffling my hair before returning to making breakfast for the others. Minseok passed by not a second later handing me a banana. I yelled out a thank you to both of them as i dug into my cereal.
Making sure no one was looking I let the smile slip off my face. I’d chime in every now and then as the boys talked about what they were looking forward to. Standing up when i finsished my food and leaving the room i made my way to my own. I made my bed and brushed my teeth. Every now and then my eyes would drift to the other side of the room. It didn't have a bed like my room back at the dorms. The bed which hadn’t been slept in god knows how long. Forcing my eyes away I made my way to my closet.
My practice clothes consisted of some grey cotton shorts, a black sportsbra, a white oversized tank top, with some white knee-lenght socks. Finishing the look i slipped on some comfortable black nikes, and i pulled my hair into a messy bun on top of my head. Putting all my stuff like my phone, water, and other items inside a black duffel bag. I quickly went to my vanity table opening the drawer full of pills. Pills they thought i had thrown away. Looking for the bottle I specifically needed I dropped two capsules in my mouth.
Looking up at the mirror placed on top of the table I narrowed my eyes at my reflection before turning around. I got my bag and swiftly left the room. I smiled as i found most of the boys in the living room only missing Chanyeol. I plopped myself in between Kyungsoo and Sehun letting my head reast on Kyungsoo’s shoulder. Jongdae saw me, and he threw his head back letting out a whine. “Where is this big-eared idiot?”
Right after that Chanyeol came in with a scowl and a headband lazily placed on his head to keep the rowdy hair out of his eyes. “I heard that” he grumbled. Everyone let out a laught at the timing and started getting their stuff together. We all headed to the vans waiting outside for us. On the way there I looked out the window forcing any thoughts that weren’t about our planned performance out of my head. When we got to the company building, our manager was already waiting for us.
I saw many poeple rushing around in preparation for the awards as the manager ushered us to the practice room. We stretched as fast as we could, and started going through the choreography and the plans for the performance. We had practiced this so much I could do this with my eyes closed and room spinning. Not long after, our clothes were sticking to our skin, and our chests were heaving. At this time, nothing was plauging my mind. It was just me, and the music coursing through my veins moving my body to it’s addicting sound. I watched my figure in the mirror extremely satisfied with my performance. Practicing my facial expressions and little gestures I was known for across the industry and fans. Once we and the manager were all satisfied, we were directed to the company showers. I walked towards the female showers ridding myself of the wet clothes. I chose the very corner stall and closed the curtain.
I let the warm water cleanse me of the sweat clinging to me, and I let my head fall back. I made sure i did everything with precision as the water dripped down my body. The only thoughts I allowed were about the performance as I finished. I knew what would happen. This performance was special. With multiple songs and a video playing in the backround. At the end we would all do something special. It was bound to stun both the audience and the fans in the crowd. No matter what fandom. This would be a performance to remember. I couln’t stop the pure exitement and giddiness from flooding my chest and spreading warmth through my body. This is what I was meant to do. This is what I was best at. It’s what I loved, and it’s what made me able to wake up every morning. It made my heart beat. It was my life.
Smilng I shut off the water quicky getting out and wrapping one of the fluffy white towels around me. I blinked the water drops away, and I gathered my stuff. Just as I was about to leave two unkown female trainees came in. They smiled softly at me, but even after all this time I could see it. The pity in their eyes. I was used to it. Quickly shaking it off I smiled as warmly as I could. We exchanged pleasentries, but I didn’t try to continue the conversation. I was so used to closing others off. It would be a hard habit to break.
Walking out I made my way to the female Exo dressing room. The male one being in the opposite side of the building. I being the only girl in Exo, was the only female idol there. I walked in my stylist all sitting on the couch making conversation as they waited. When I walked in they all sprang up jumping into action.  Trinity getting me a robe to replace the towel before going into the room’s closet to get the outfit she had planned out for me. Kirra set up all her equipment and ushered me into the chair taking my bag and dumping it on the couch. She instantly set to work tilting my face this way and that to apply the cosmetics. Eli got her hair products ready while she waited for Kirra to finish up.
“How are you doing, Zuzu?” Kirra called my nickname knowing it gave me comfort. “Nothing but exitement, really. We have a big performance planned. I have nothing to be nervous about. We are Exo. We have a message to give. And everyone will hear it. Whether they want to or not. With my boys beside me, what could go wrong?” I did my best to truly believe every word that came out of my mouth.
Kirra grinned shaking her head fondly. “That’s the spirit! Feel yourself girl. You are the great Zui from Exo. One of the most beloved idols in the industry. The impactful, talented, and sexy Zui. Boys can’t even come up to you without getting flustered, and all girls want to be you. You make everyone want to bend-” I scoffed cutting her off before she could say anything else. Although, I couldn’t deny the smirk making it’s way onto my face. “You flatter me”. She laughed before getting back to work.
Neither of us said anything as she finished. She was too focused. When she was done, I looked into the mirror and tilted my head in satisfaction. The makeup wasn’t too heavy seeing as it would be getting done for the performance again later, but it was enough to uphold the image I had built. it kept my features sharp and addicting. Rhisestones dotting the corners of my eyes. The colors mature and capable of making anyone’s heart explode. My lips plump and especially tantilizing. My eyebrow piercing making me look fierce and powerful. She had given me contacts that added a blue tint to my brown orbs. I looked at the mirror as the corner of my lips curled up and Kirra could barely keep the sqeal in.
“I have to say, I think it’s one of my favorites. Thanks Kirra.” she quickly agreed and moved to the side. Eli moved in with the curling wand already in her hands. Eli didn’t have as big of a personality as Kirra (or as much as a big mouth). She was a quiet little thing, and she mostly worked in silence. She sighed and looked at me through the mirror before letting her eyes drop back to my hair.
“I’m really glad i was assigned to you.” when I tilted my head in confusion she continued “I’ve heard stories. Of idols who don’t make any effort to keep their hair healthy, and what a mess it can be. Plus, you’re nice. Some aren’t.” she whispered. I smiled softly at her. “I’m glad to have you too”. She swifly nodded before turning all her attention to my hair. She finished and we both smiled, pleased.
The curled strands were pulled up together with isolated strands hanging out here and there. Some framed my face while others grazed the top of my shoulders and collarbones. She also added glitter so that it shined a certain way when the light hit it. The soft strands were just waiting to be touched. I tilted my head back smiling at her in thanks. She shily smlled back and backed up so that i could stand.
I made my way to the closet where Trinity had been the whole time probably placing the last touches on my outfit. My breath hitched when my eyes caught sight of the dress. It was perfect for me. I shook my head in disbelief. She always managed to do it. Trinity smiled smugly.
“Like it??” I exhaled looking at her with wide eyes. “Like it? Trinity, I love it. You always outdo yourself. You really are the best,” she innocently shrugged at my words. “Oh stop, You don’t have to tell me that. I already know." I chuckled as I untied the robe letting it fall to the ground, Trinity helped me into the dress, and when i looked into the mirror a unique kind of breathlessness racked through my body.
It was an off the shoulder dress accentuating my shoulders, collarbones, and neck. It was short in front, and it got longer as it went back. It had an open back that had strings of jewels running across my skin, and a kind of fabric surrounding my waist that was see-through. The fabric at the back was light, so it flowed in the wind when I walked. The dress was comfortable, and it wasn't heavy at all.
She gave me many accessories. She placed a flower like headpiece on my hair being careful not to mess up the hair do. She gave me dangly earrings with a choker like necklace made of jewels. She placed a simple dangly hand chain on my hand which paired with a similar anklet. The shoes didn't have that much heel, but they were pretty and made my legs seem longer.
Looking into the mirror I smiled. The person staring back at me looked like the person I had been such a long time ago. The person I now pretended to be. The influential, compelling, striking woman that could bring anyone to their knees. Not the fragile broken little girl currently hiding behind all those qualities. The smile slowly slipped off my face.
"Don't...don't you think this is a bit much?" I questioned Trinity. Her eyes softened. In all her years of working with me I had never been one to show insecurity, but after what happened it seemed I had lost a bit of myself. But gosh, I was still as stubborn if not more.
Shaking her head she spoke. "Come on, Zhizhi. You look ethereal right now. Wouldn't it be fun to make an entrance? Leave an impression? You haven't attended MAMA in about three years. Don't you wanna show them? Show them you're still the same commanding powerful woman you were before??"
But...I'm not. No one would understand. No one knows. I'm horrified, but I dont want to go back.
Looking at myself in the mirror I forced myself to go back. To be the person I had lost so long ago. I made myself forget. Shaking my head I pushed a smile onto my face. I gathered all the bad thoughts and memories locking them in a box and placing in the farthest corner of my mind. Digging my nails into my palm I forced all confidence to spread throughout my body. I forced myself into the Zui persona. The sexy unfazed commanding idol. Smoldering into the mirror I let a smirk kiss at my lips.
"You're right. Don't worry your little head about it Trinity" slowly I turned to her grinning before patting her shoulder then walking towards the exit of the closet. "I'll leave them knees week, mouths dropped, and hearts racing." I chuckled when she responded. "Damm right you are. Work hard, make them hard."
My laughter rang around the room as I entered the main dressing room where Kirra and Eli had begun packing all their equipment. When they saw me they gasped stopping all movement. I'm pretty sure I saw Kiarra's knees buckle. Eyes wide she started to speak.
"You look- like...like"
"A goddess" Eli finished but Kiarra continued.
"An angel"
"Emma Watson on steroids""
"A statue made by the Gods"
"like I just died and entered heaven"
"shit man, this could be hell and I wouldn't mind"
"Y-you look like a..."
"-A sin"
With the last one a laugh bubbled up. "You guys are too much. I'd love to talk more but I'm sure I'm late" looking at clock I winced. Those noodles were on the line. I couldn't get Junmyeon annoyed. Waving I quickly walked towards the door, and I opened it breathing in the fresh air that didn't smell like makeup and mold.
I briskly walked towards the entrance of the company building where I knew the vans and fellow members would be waiting. Coincidentally, I didn't run into anyone seeing as most groups here had probably already gone to the venue. How weird. Back when I attended award shows I’d usually see Red Velvet  talking about how to avoid all male idols, or Super Junior talking about all the shenanigans they could get up to and how mad they could get their manager. Now my heels clicking against the floor were the only sound that accompanied me as I made my way towards the entrance.
Kirra had already called down to announce I was on my way, so they were probably outside. I took a moment to collect myself as the elevator went down. The cold metal from the necklace seemed to keep me alert. One last time I forced all bad thoughts out of my head and cleared my mind. As the elevator doors opened, I grinned.
Zui was back.
I waved to the receptionist who's mouths dropped as I walked by. The security by the door opened the door not being able to make eye contact, and the sun's light hit my face. I noticed my members all standing by some vans conversing with themselves and I made my way towards them. I noticed the multiple vans one probably for us while others for our staff. Then, my eyes landed on the boys. They all had different suits with varying designs. Looking like princes, and god exo-l would have a field day with this.
"Hello peasants, ready to go?" my voice made Jongdae turn and he immediately spoke "Spawn of satan becomes satan himself but female version" smiling I walked right past him hooking my arm with Minseok's who gladly accepted smiling. "Well looks like Min is my date today. Jongdae's whine made me hold my arm out to him and replace mine with Minseok's.
"Actually, you two will have to be a duo today. You grandpas don't know how to have fun. You never dance or sing with me, so I'll just stick with Yeol and Baek today" mentioned idols then whooped swinging their arms around my shoulders. Minseok just shrugs in response pulling a whining Jongdae into the van. As we started heading towards the van, i felt a hand land on my shoulder holding me back. I immidiately recognized Junmyeons touch.
I looked back only to see the worry in his eyes. Both Chanyeol and Baekhyun looked back. “Oooh, she’s in trouble” Baekhyun snickered. My eyes widened. Me? In trouble? I thought back to everything i had done today and yesterday. I hadn’t done anything. I just put some soy sauce in Sehun’s bubble tea...then I proceeded to leave him at said bubble tea store. But that was normal. My eyebrows furrowed.
“Myeonie? What did i do?” he instantly let out an exasparated sigh. “What- no! No one is in trouble. I just have to talk to you” I nodded in understanding. He waited until everyone was away from hearing distance. His eyes looked at anywhere but mine as if searching for the right words. His brows furrowed as he gnawed on his lip putting his hands on his hips. The worry in his eyes made me bristle.
Letting out a sigh his eyes finally found mine.
"Zhizhi...."
"Myeonie?"
His hands left his hips, and instead they reached for my own. Encasing them he bought them close to his chest as his eyes searched mine. The contrast between his cold rings and the warmth of his hands shocked me out of the Zui persona. His mouth opened and closed as if he still couldn't find the right words. He visibly swallowed.
"Will...Will you be okay?" my shoulders instantly relaxed. Smiling softly at my leader one of my hands left his grasp and moved to smoothen the crease between his eyebrows. Patting his cheek I replied.
"It's been years Myeon, don't worry. I'll be fine. It's time." His eyes searched mine for any sign of hesitation. "But only you get to decide that"
"And I'm deciding that I'm ready." Sighing he brushed the hair out of my eyes. "Tell me if at any point given in time you feel uncomfortable" I rolled my eyes. I hated when he made me feel weaker. It hit too close to the truth.
"I'll be fin-"
"Promise me Xinzhi."
Hesitating I pursed my lips looking into his warm eyes. Junmyeon was hard to lie to. Not because he could detect when I was lying. But because I felt guilty doing it. This was the guy that stayed. That took me in and gave me a home. That gave me everything expecting nothing. He trusted me. And I lied. My chest filled with guilt as I did my best to smile at him.
I took his pinky wrapping it in mine.
"Promise"
With those words I touched the soft skin of his thumb with mine. He smiled his proud dad smile and pulled at my ear. His eyes looked behind me at the vans, and he scoffed smiling. I turned my head finding the beagle line with their faces pressed against the window of the Van's. I laughed as Chanyeol held his arms out pointing at his wrist mouthing one word
"Time."
How ironic. It seemed like that was always a problem these days. Shaking my head fondly I linked my fingers with Junmyeon's jogging to the van.
He got into the passenger seat while I had to get into the very front since the back seats were filled. I had been seated next to Jongin with Kyungsoo on his other side. Jongin helped me gather the dress into the car smiling reassuringly at me. I smiled back knocking my shoulder with his.
Junmyeon told the driver we were all here. The engine thrummed to life making the van move with a pleasant hum. I stared out the window fingers fiddling with my dress. The only thing filling the silence of the vehicle was the quiet murmur of member's voices. Their laughter ringing out every once and a while. I smiled a content smile. It felt like we were in our own little world in the van. A world spinning on an axis of our adoration for eachother. Nothing being able to disrupt or knocks us out of this warm state.
All conversations were halted when Junmyeon cleared his throat turning his head to look at his precious family. We all looked at him expectant and wide eyes. He grinned at us eyes forming crescent moons.
"Who's ready for MAMA!?" at his question we all whooped creating a lively energy. With our spirits lifted and excitement coursing through our veins, we smiled at eachother bodies thrumming with anticipation.
~~~~~
Nervousness pooled at my stomach as the vehicle entered traffic. My eyes took in the large structure of the venue. Cars lined up along the streets waiting to enter the awaited event. Photographers, reporters, fans, and of course the idols all coming together for this day. I felt a hand touch the back of my neck soothing my nerves. Turning around I found Baekhyun's soft features beaming at me. I grinned back reaching to squeeze his hand before letting go.
The fans had asked questions like they did every year.
Would Zui be coming to the awards this year?
The company hadn't made any statements neither confirming nor denying my attendance. Fans had assumed their silence as denial. They didn't know I would be attending after years, so I was a surprise. I anticipated their reaction, and I had slowly been going to more public events getting comfortable once again. To be honest, I had missed the routine of getting ready, performing, and seeing other idols and fans. The familiarity of a camera was not something I expected to miss.
But being cooped up and isolated from the rest of the world did things to a person. Especially when I was used to being in the public eye. The only events I had been allowed to go to were concerts which I found myself lucky to even be in the songs. SM did everything they could to alienate me from my own industry. I knew many things had changed in the time I was gone for both the better and the worse. New groups had come up, and groups that had been at the top of the world were struggling. I had lost contact with many friends. Although some had tried to reach out, I wasn't allowed to respond. I wonder if they hated me. What they thought of me.
Did they think I was a stuck up bitch?
Did they think I personally held myself in a higher status than them?
That was the problem with not being able to talk to someone.
You never could find out what they were thinking.
I couldn't lie. I missed them. The spark in Yoongi's eyes when he was producing and his down to earth behavior. The akward situations Zico got himself into, and how he handled them. The way Jessi and I matched so well together with our defiant reputations, and our big personalities. Hyuna and our little get-togethers where we pretended to be normal people for once laughing and living the day freely.
These friendships had meant so much to me, and they had been ripped away because of someone who I had never spoken to. It was impossible trying to talk to them. The company regularly checked my eletronic devices. He took everything from me.
My identity, my health, my freedom, and my friends. There had been many things planned for me before the incident. Shows, solos, among other things and those had been ripped away from me as well. I had missed important things that the group had gone through. The relationships between my labelmates were now strained by the weight of saying or doing something and breaking me. They feared me with the best intentions.
The members were the only ones who ever treated me like I was normal. Sometimes, they were a bit hesitant, but I always did my best to hide my struggles from them. Everyone always looked and treated me like a victim.
I'm not a victim.
I'm Zui the charismatic sexy rapper. Not afraid of anyone or anything.
That's what I made myself believe anyways.
It led me to ask myself questions I had been asking for a long time.
Would it ever get better?
Would the public ever know what actually happened?
When would the nightmares stop?
After all these years would what happened ever stop being something constantly haunting me?
After all this time there was no answer for these questions. They were shadows that followed me laughing at me, and they never seemed any closer to going away. No matter how much I screamed and begged at them to go away.
They were always there.
Sighing I let myself focus back on my surroundings only to startle when I saw we were two cars away from the red carpet they had set up. Excitement pulled me out of any daze I had been in keeping me alert. My knee started bouncing as we got closer, and Kyungsoo reached over placing his hand on my knee giving me a comforting pat and a smile.
The vehicle came to a slow stop. The reporters and few fans seemed to still wondering who was inside.
Junmyeon turned in his seat grinning at us before opening the door and getting off. As he appeared the flashes immediately started going off, and the fans talked excitedly. Kyungsoo turned to the rest of the members too giving us a nod before opening the door. They all filed out as I waited being the last one that would get off.
As each member filed out, my heart pounded faster and faster. Minseok was the last one to get out beaming at me gums showing as he stepped out. A silence rippled through the crowd when the door didn't close after all eight members had gotten out. I scooted closer towards the door as they stared at the vehicle. Somehow, they knew. Knew the last member to get out would be the well known Zui. Their eyes hungrily awaiting the appearance of the rapper.
Taking a deep breath I let a smirk tug at my lips as the fresh outside air caressed the soft skin of my face blowing through the soft dyed strands spilling out from my scalp. Feeling the ground beneath my feet I made sure my dress was alright before looking up at the crowd. Some fans were looking at me hands covering their mouths, and eyes wide blinking. Others were laughing and smiling while clutching at eachother eyes shining.
My chest filled with warmth seeing one of my favorites sights. Poeple who had supported me and my group smiling because of me. I was finally where I belonged. With my members and my fans cameras annoyingly flashing lights into my face. I walked towards my members in front of one of those background set ups. Camera men were shouting at eachother shoving at eachother to get a picture. The fans were also taking pictures anxiously typing alerting the rest of the fandom of my appearance.
I had been shoved to the middle of the group, and as I stared at the cameras smirking I remembered something someone had told me a long time ago.
Head high or the crown slips.
A long time ago it was a saying I was fond of. Now i wished I could forget it. I didn't need a crown. A sword would do just fine.
The group shuffled along the carpet posing differently every now and then. Our range of poses included serious, sexy, happy, and a funny one. The funny one consisted of the boys with their arms in the air directed at me sitting on their heels, and I had my hands on my hips with a smug grin on my face.
After a few minutes we reached the end of the carpet. We walked up the stairs that would lead to the entrance of the building. Some security would escort us through the halls into the main area where the stage, fans, and other idols were seated. As we followed the security Chanyeol and Baekhyun came to my side linking their arms with mine.
“Who are you exited to see?” Baekhyun asked looking at me with big puppy eyes. My mouth dropped. I had forgotten other idols would be here in all the preperation for tonight.
 Chanyeol smiled when he saw my eyes shine with a kind of fragmented light.
I grinned at the thought of being able to talk and explain everything to my old friends. The people who I held so dear to my heart even after all these years treasuring their smiles in my memory with the constant fear of forgetting them.
“The Shinee boys will be there right? And is Jessi performing?? I haven’t seen her in forever!”
Chanyeol’s smile immidiately dropped, and i could feel Baekhyun still, and his arm slip from mine. I looked at them in confusion.
Why were they staring at me so weird? Did I say something wrong. Their eyes filled with the emotion i hated. Pity. Baekhyun’s mouth opened and closed, and Chanyeol had a weary look in his eyes. I felt a warm hand drop on my sholulder someone walking up beside me. Turning i found Minseok with an uneasy smile. Nodding his head at the boys we continued walking.
“Zhizhi...we’re the only SM group attending the awards this year, and Jessi hasn’t performed for MAMA in about three years.” The wry smile still remained on his face as i felt my chest grow heavy. How alienated from the industry had I been? Was I really to the point that I didn’t know anything going on with my own industry. How far behind was I? Was there a line where isolation just became ignorance?
I nodded trying to stop the frown tugging at my lips. My voice feeling like it’d been ripped from my throat. Then, another hand rested on my shoulder. Suprise etched my features when i saw Sehun’s sharp eyes looking at me. Instead of the usual mischief, I saw warmth.
“Hey, aren’t you freinds with that rapper from BTS. What’s his name? Suga? They’re supposed to be here.” At that i felt the anger I had directed towrads myself dissipate a bit. An inkling of hope sprouted in my chest at the thought of Yoongi. I would be lucky if he even let me say hi. Yoongi had a hard time trusting others, and I don’t know if i still had any of his after cutting him off without so much a goodbye. I wish he knew how sorry i felt. He deserved so much more.
Sighing I did my best to smile at them nodding my head. “Yeah, youre right. Maybe I can even make some new friends” at that I heard Sehun snort.
“Who would want to be freinds with your ass?” With a glare aimed at him I stopped walking gritting my teeth.
“Listen here twat, I won’t hesiate to leave you ag-” i was cut off once again by Junmyeon grabbing a hold of my shoulders forcing me to walk scolding Sehun for cussing. I made a silent promise to get back at him as I continued walking only to come to an abrupt stop as Junmyeon’s hands held me still.
Annoyance brimmed and with eyebrows furrowed I turned my head to him. "Excuse me, dear leader, um- I have my own legs-" Junmyeon cut me off by shaking my shoulders, and only then did I notice everyone was frozen in place.
"But apparently you guys don't have legs?" at that Junmyeon shook me once more.
"Shhh...listen.."
It was then that I heard the chant the seated fans were screaming shaking the whole venue filling it with a special kind of power.
My chest heaved feeling as if all the wind had been knocked out of me.
"Oh-..oh shit." we all looked at eachother eyes wide as our laughs of disbelief were barely over the fan's chanting.
"LOVE ZUI..LOVE EXO"
"LOVE ZUI..LOVE EXO"
"LOVE ZUI..LOVE EXO"
With baited breath we all took slow cautious steps forward. The security guy turned around raising a brow, and he stepped to the side extending his hand and tilting his head as if saying "Go ahead."
Our steps still hesitant, we entered the main part of the building where the stage was, and the fans and idols were seated. As we appeared into where the fans could view us the chanting transformed into screams.
We composed ourselves as we walked towards our seats. The screams only got louder as we got closer. I couldn't focus on any of the idols that were currently staring at us. All my attention was on the crowd currently screaming my stage name. The light of the light sticks beamed at me with the familiarity of home, and in that moment I couldn't help but feel like my heart was full after such a long time.
I didn't have to be the idol that had disappeared for reasons unknown to them. The idol who constantly let them down. Their idol who only gave them 50% when they gave 100%. To them, I was still the same Zui.
The Zui that existed before all this mess. These precious people who gave me their continuous love even after all the sadness I had caused them seemed to shine with an ethereal kind of light. I stood there staring at them blinking away the tears blurring my sight.
Then, I smiled as warmly and bowed as deeply as I could. I didn't have to be accepted with open arms or with so much love. They screamed once more, and I waved before turning around searching for the rest of my group only to find out they had already seated themselves. They looked at me with a weird expression I couldn't read, but I ignored it and walked towards the seat.
Walking back I noticed there were three other groups seated around us.
To our right were nine young boys all trying their hardest to avoid my gaze.
Chuckling I looked at them closer trying to decipher who they were. Then, my gaze landed on a guy with dark hair and a V-shaped jaw. A boy that I had been told admired me. A smirk tugged at my lips as I recognized them.
Stray Kids
Many fans had recommended me their music for when I was feeling down. The lyrics of their songs were ones that were very comforting and warm hearted. Looking at them I wondered what things those young boys had been through to be able to come up with suck melancholy lyrics. I told myself I'd try to greet them later.
To the left was a group with seven boys. No. Seven men.
Taking in their faces they seemed so familiar. They weren't looking at me, so it was hard to tell. I wasnt, however, expecting them to be the boys that had seemingly climbed their way up from nothing. The boys I had grown so close to only to have been ripped away from them.
Looking at them I figured they looked more mature than when I last saw them. Something about them was older. I had recognized them when my eyes landed on the particular short passionate rapper sitting next to his light filled polar opposite companion.
Yoongi.
He was the only one looking at me. He didn't look angry, but he didn't exactly look happy either.
Just indifferent. I'd try to talk to him later too.
Finally, my eyes landed on the group seated right behind us. Six men. No. Six men and one girl. Definetly not a group I knew.
Raising an eyebrow I noted something else that was new. Were people still against putting a girl into a boygroup?
My eyes managed to catch one of the boy's. Yeah, definetly did not know them. He looked at me with curious eyes only for them to widen when recognition filled them. A red hue creeped up his neck and tinted his ears as he quickly looked down.
Amused I took in his baby like features paired with a body that obviously spent a lot of time at the gym. Broad shoulders, large biceps, and such a soft face.
How endearing.
I noticed the girl in the group who was sat beside him take his hand clutching it in hers. Neither of them looked at me. Curiousity probed at me, but I disregarded it instead realizing I had reached my group.
I sat myself between Chanyeol and Baekhyun who instantly made space for me. Baekhyun looked at me with a childish confusion.
"Why didn't you talk to your friend" his eyes fluttered over to Yoongi for a brief second before returning to mine. I shook my head. "I don't think he wants to talk, Baek. I'll try later." He tilted his head eyebrows furrowing.
"But you didn't even try Zhi" I sighed shaking my head. "You don't understand Ba-"
"No! you always say that, and I'm getting tired of it. Help me understand" his whispers were getting increasingly desperate. I couldn't do this. Especially not here. I turned away looking at the stage where many performances were set to happen. He tried leaning so that he was in front of trying to catch my gaze, but I avoided it.
"Just drop it Baekhyun" his eyes narrowed. "Xinzhi are you being serious with me right now?" Then Minseok sighed leaning back and crossing his arms.
"Baekhyun, please" at that the mentioned man looked at the older one questionably before huffing and slouching in his seat. Chanyeol's doe eyes flickered between Baek and I wondering who he should comfort. In the end, he reached out to both of us grabbing our hands and linking them together patting then before letting go.
My gaze landed on Baek and I's hands grasped together before clutching on to it tighter feeling the same thing from him.
It wasn't that long before the lights previously on dimmed, and the camera men got into position. I watched as Park Bogum's figure walked onto the stage with the screams of the crowd signaling the start of the event. His handsome face smiled at the camera as he introduced the show and made some cheesy jokes here and there. I let myself relax in my seat seeing as we would be the last to perform.
We enjoyed the performances dancing along to the choreography and lip synching to the lyrics. Baekhyun, Chanyeol, and Chen got especially excited with Twice while I got exited at Mamamoo. We made funny faces at the camera as Kyungsoo gave it a blank face and Junmyeon grinned nervously. It seemed so incredibly normal I didn't have a hard time settling in. A small pang struck at my chest when Bts performed seeing Yoongi stare at the camera so defiantly. Baekhyun just smiled nudging my shoulder with his.
I was so busy laughing with the beagle line acting like gossiping schoolgirls to notice the group behind us getting up and walking off backstage.
It wasn't until the beginning of a song starting with "Blow it" and it's bass shaking the floor that my attention was catched. Looking at the stage my eyes landed on the group immediately recognizing the man I had locked eyes with earlier. This time there was seven men and one girl. Hm, he must have been in the bathroom. I didn't get a good look at the new guy's face.
My interest only seemed to grow when I saw their chests vibrating along with bass of the song trying to replicate it only to abruptly stop when I remembered I had no support at that part of the dress. Giving the camera a suggestive look I settled down focusing on the performance.
The guy with the baby face I looked at earlier seemed like a totally different person. Confident in the way he moved and looked.
The start already had me interested. It wasn't until the first verse started that I felt my heart start beating faster. A guy with fiery orange hair stepped up eyes ablaze with passion. I felt my eyes widen, and my mouth drop a bit. My heart wasn't beating faster because of infatuation. Oh no.
It was beating with the elxiliration of finding someone who spoke the same language I did. This guy wasn't an idol.
He was a rapper.
And a damn good one at that.
My energy seemed to increase filling my chest with a weird buzzing and making my hear nod. In conclusion, I like this guy. I don't think I've seen energy like that in a long time.
I was about to turn to ask Chanyeol, who oddly knew everyone, who this was until I was interrupted by a deep velvety voice.
"I am what I am."
You wot m8???
My eyes blinked as my heart seemed to stutter. I clutched at my chest willing my heart to stop acting so weirdly. Not taking my eyes off the performance I nudged Chenyeol with my hand nodding my head in the direction of the group. "Who is that?"
"Monsta x."
I repeated the name still in a trance. As my lips parted in way for the name I realized it had a good ring to it. Next to me Baekhyun snickered looking at the others.
"I think Zhizhi just fell in love." I didn't even have the heart to smack him in retaliation. The group itself was very eye catching with the choreography, rapping, and vocals are going together very nicely.
But he was captivating.
With the metal in his eyebrow sparkling everytime the light hit it, and his body moving across the stage like that's where he belonged. He wasn't the most handsome.
Handsome wouldn't be something to describe him. Entrancing seemed to fit him more. Pulling you in with his gleaming dark eyes and a flash of his lazy smile. There was an odd mixture of darkness and light that clinged to him. A wry smile tugged at my lips as I leaned back taking a sip of my water.
As my heart continued to pulse at a quick speed, fear started curling around the edges of my chest. I really was off my rocker. I was acting like a teenager high off freedom recklessly falling in love with anyone who seemed daring enough to break her. Too bad I was already broken.
For the rest of the performance I continued to space out working on pushing any of the thoughts about him out of my head. I tried focusing on the performance, but anytime ne eyes landed on him my mouth went dry. I couldn't help but laugh at myself.
I didn't even know his name.
Rationality pulled at me helping me get his stupid face out of my head. Smiling falsely I bopped my head to the beat of the song. My eyebrows raised when baby face man ripped his shirt off. His lean torso wasn't what surprised me.
I had seen a ton of idols take their shirt off (Don't misinterpret I used to like attending other group's concerts before the incident), but I had never seen duality quite like his. No matter how many time baby face man flashed the camera with a seducing smile I couldn't help but remember his shy eyes not even able to hold my gaze. What were they feeding idols these days?
Who am I kidding?
I live with Byun Baekhyun.
Sighing I let out a relieved breath when the performance ended. I was so distracted I didn't see Baekhyun making kissy faces at me.
The rest of the performances passes in a blur. Groups I didn't know the name of nor that they existed having their five minutes of spotlight. I didn't bother trying to catch Yoongi's eyes instead conversing with Chanyeol trying to learn about new groups.
It wasn't until I saw figures approaching out of the corner of my eye that my back straightened. Sitting up I slightly twisted around noticing baby face man and his group coming back from their performance.
As they sat down my eyes roamed their faces looking for the deep voiced rapper. My eyes caught with some of theirs, and they bowed their heads in greeting. I bowed my head slightly everytime I looked up they avoided my gaze. It wasn't until I saw a glint from my far left that I tilted my head eye to eye with the rapper who had caught my attention.
My eyes zeroed in on him as we each bowed to eachother.
But as he looked up he didn't immediately avert his eyes. Oh no.
He looked at me. Dark eyes boring into mine curiousity gleaming in the depth of his orbs. He didn't smile or smirk. He had no expression. He just looked at me.
I couldn't think of a time where this had happened. Where an idol actually held my gaze. An idol I had not previously talked to. Hell I didn't even know he existed, but I knew he recognized me. The mysterious female rapper from Exo who was hidden from the public.
Idols feared me, yet his eyes didn't hold any trace of the emotion as we gazed at eachother. I couldn't find it in myself to look away.
The only thing that bought me out of my trance was a slap to the back of the neck.
Hissing my hand traveled to my neck rubbing the skin as I turned around looking into Chanyeol's doe eyes.
"What the hell Yeol?" his eyes were wide and accusing. "Really Xinzhi? Im Changkyun?? A basically rookie idol who's two years younger than you??" Well that certainly made things harder. Looking at him with an uninterested expression and a roll of my eyes I replied "Younger? How fun." Chanyeol's eyes widened even further as he tugged at my ear "Kim Xinzhi!"
"Ah- Ok listen how is age a problem when I dated Leeteuk" At that he tugged at my ear harder. "You dated Leeteuk?!" He screeched. I slapped my hand on his mouth his screaming muffled. I heard my name get hissed out and saw Junmyeon looking at me with those wide eyes your mom gives you when you talk back.
You know the "You better run before you get whooped" eyes. Looking at the group they were all looking at me wide surprised and scandalized expressions. Except Kyungsoo who gazed at me with mild interest mild then looked away. Now that I remember the only one I had ever told about my relationship with our senior was the stoic man.
Slapping Chanyeol's hand away from my ear I grumbled. I heard Sehun snickering. Looks like I could wave those noodles goodbye.
Grinning innocently at the leader his glare hardened making me shrink back in my seat. I wasn't scared of much. Not even Kyungsoo's dead eyes staring into my soul could strike terror into me. But let me put it this way.
No fear.
Furious Junmyeon.
One fear.
If mad Junmyeon asked you to do something you did it without question. There was no arguing with mad Junmyeon. To put it simply....
I'm fucked.
One wrong move and I wouldn't be let out of the dorms for another five years. Smiling I folded my hands in my lap and stared straight ahead choosing to try and not piss off my leader even more. Chanyeol guiltily tapped my knee whispering a quick "sorry".
Baekhyun then also leaned in. "Junmyeon says "We're talking about it later". He also says to settle down and behave." I nodded still aware of Junmyeon’s eyes boring holes into the side of my head. "Looks like Myeonie isn't so happy Zhizhi" Sehun taunted hands clapping in amusement.
My nails digged into my palm as I restrained myself from lunging at him. Testing Junmyeon was not something I wanted to do.
The only thing distracting me from the concequences I'd be facing soon was the fluttering feeling in my chest as the time to perform got closer. That and the set of eyes I felt from behind me. Trying to ignore it I would interact with the fans waving at them and asking them questions. Their smiling faces calming my racing heart.
It wasn't long before we were signaled backstage to prepare for our performance. Making sure I still looked presentable I stood up choosing to stay away from Junmyeon. I instead walked with Minseok choosing him as the best option of protection from Junmyeon’s wrath.
I had to separate from the members seeing as the female dressing rooms were in a different hall then those of the Male idols. Japan really took scandals seriously apparently.
As I walked to the dressing room heels tapping againt the ground I heard a gasp. Pausing my stride I strained my ears seeing if my mind was playing tricks on me.
"Just go say hi. The worst thing that could happen was her ignoring you." Turning in the direction of the voice I found nine young boys standing there looking like deer caught in headlights.
Recognizing them I smiled softly. I couldn't bring myself to put on my persona for them.
Walking closer I bowed as they scrambled to do the same. "Stray Kids right? Nice to meet you" I made me tone welcoming and gentle. A guy with dimples and curly hair stuttered. "You know us?"
I nodded. "Your music is really unique you know? It's very...how should I say? Real? Comforting? I cant really label your music. Let's just say it transcends words. I can't count the number of times I've cried listening to it." Laughing softly I watch as they visibly relax shoulders slumping and easy smiles being shared. My eyes landed on a particular short rapper with dark hair and a sharp jaw.
"Changbin, you're a good rapper. Very passionate. I honestly wouldn't mind working together. All of you." I watched as their expressions of suprise morphed onto their faces. My eyes caught a watch on one of their wrists.
"Sorry I have to cut this short, but I have to go get ready. It was nice meeting you." Words of agreement followed me as I walked away.
I wasn't lying. A collaboration with them seemed interesting. Although, given the intense competition between our companies it would be a hassle to get management to agree.
My train of thought was interrupted by a deep voice.
"You know, you're really different from what the articles say you are." I felt my heart lurch into my throat as I spinned around.
Looking at him was hard enough. Talking to him? Well it took me a second to find my voice. Regaining my composure I tilted my head.
"Can't you say the same?"
Lifting a pierced eyebrow in amusement he shook his head. "You're the exact opposite of all the things I've heard. Are you sure you're Zui from Exo?" Scoffing I narrowed my eyes. My stage persona was a whole other being compared to me. He however, was just as bold as he was on stage.
"Excuse me, who are you?" He actually had the nerve to laugh. He opened his mouth as if to say something only to shake his head and close his mouth. Stepping closer he offered his hand.I accepted watching as his hand easily fit mine encasing it in warmth.
"Im Chankyun. Rapper and maknae from Monsta x." all information I already knew. I nodded trying to seem uninterested. He seemed like the kind of person to tease if I spurred him on. Trying to calm the heat traveling up my neck I cleared my throat.
"You already know who I am". He scoffed through his nose letting out a disbelieving grin.
"Apparently I don't" I started cursing the universe for choosing him out of all poeple. Although, he definetly had charm.
Sighing I gave in snatching my hand from his when I noticed we hadn't let go of eachother. Clasping my hand close to my chest I relented.
"Kim Xinzhi. Rapper and maknae from Exo." his eyes sparkled. "We have a lot in common" his voice was the same smooth tone he had on stage. It felt like he didn't have to put on much of a mask.
The more we talked the more I felt myself getting attached to him. As my fondness grew, so did my fear.
Hardening my face and tightening my lips I took a step back. He wanted Zui? I'd give him Zui.
I shook my head.
"We don't"
"Well now you're just being difficult." I really had to pick this one didn't I?
"We really aren't similar at all. We're on opposite sides of the same spectrum. I'm up here, and you're down here. My group has won thousands of awards while yours is just starting out, and-...are-are you paying attention?" I cut myself off as I saw him zoning out eyes zeroed in on my face.
I turned around to see if he was staring at something behind me only to turn back around and have his hand reaching up to my face.
"Don't move"
◇•◇•◇•◇•◇
Wind is upset.
He feels burried under a ton of worries, questions troubling his mind and lots, lots of anger. He can’t seem to stay still. He wanders around the camp, picking up random rocks and throwing them into the campfire that is slowly turning small branches as well as large pieces of wood into ashes.
He prefers not to look at Hyrule, or his glare will fall onto the head wound he carries and is still pulsing pain into him because of Wind.
The injured hero is sitting on a fallen tree log covered in wild mushrooms and dark moss, surrounded by plenty of ancient, towering oak trees. A bandage stained with mud is poorly wrapped around his scalp and the dried blood makes his tuffs of hair glue together in an unpleasant way. His hairstyle is messy, there are hairs dyed red from the blood that has fallen onto them and mixed with dirt and dust. His expression gives out the rough day he’s been through, but that doesn’t stop a faint smile from forming on his face when he sees the youngest hero.
Wind sighs in annoyance, trying to get away from the guilt and nausea stiring up his stomach. It isn’t his fault the rest of the group always assumes he needs to be pampered.
◇•◇•◇•◇•◇
“Wind watch out!” An ambush. Nothing more than a few bokoblins and even less moblins. Piece of cake. It should hage been. “I’m fine-I’m fine I swear!” Wind is in the middle of a bokoblin gang, three or four of them staring aggressively at him and softly but threateningly tapping their wooden clubs on the back of their ugly hands. Wind doesn’t wait for them to strike.
He sprints towards the biggest of them who seems to be their chief and lets out a loud clear battlecry. With his increased speed he raises his sword and is ready to stab the flesh of the vicious creature but it turns to the side just before the fatal strike lands at it’s target. Wind stumbles upon the gap in front of him and uses all of his strengh to keep his balance, dangerously leaning to the front. He is about to sigh in relief when he hears the floppy footsteps of the creatures a breath away from him. A raised bokoclub, he turns to try and reflect the hit but he knows he can’t manage on time.
Hyrule is nearby. He doesn’t hesitate to try and protect his younger friend. He runs, not being aware of his surrounding, not hearing Wind’s unfinished protest against his action. Time stops as he falls to the ground, drifting a scared Wind below him.
The bokoblin lowers it’s weapon and it’s mark is now Hyrule’s head. It goes down with a hollow thud and red blood starts to ooze from the wound.
Hyrule feels dizzy. The world beside him starts to shake and he can’t keep his eyes open. He feels stinging pain pulsing from the side of his head and a sudden heat has taken over the upper side of his body. His lips are trembling and when his look falls on the scratched but unharmed Wind, he fades away, closing his eyes.
“Please….I won’t forgive you if you die on me” a whisper and Wind’s terrified, panicked face meets with his injured friend’s. He doesn’t have time to care for the injury since the monsters are still threatening their lives. He turns his head up and realises with terror that he has lost his sword.
Warriors is the nearest to them and as Wind sends his glare up to him, he is already pulling his blade out of the dead body of the last bokoblin. Everyone pays their attention to the badly injured Hyrule quietly sleeping on Wind’s lap. Blood is everywhere; on Hyrule’s hair, on Wind’s clothes, even on the ground and the club that did the damage.
“QUICK!…..HELP HIM!” shouts Wind with a cracked voice and immidiately looks down at his friend, then at the vast amount of blood on his hands, feeling terror and a glimpse of disgust at the same time.
Warriors kneels down by them and checks Hyrule’s pulse, the rest of the heroes running towards them, showered in worry. “Is he…” Legend says with a low tone, afraid to let out the words.
“No. But he will if we don’t get him a red potion right now. He’s lost a lot of blood.”
Sky rummages through their stuff and relievingly takes out a glass bottle with a red liquid inside. It has something…magical in it and you can tell by giving it a simple look. You can’t explain it. As you watch the liquid flow in harmonic circles inside the bottle, form assymetrical waves and move like a dancing fairy, a creature made by pure magic, ready to take away all of your pain. Observing it feels like the soft soothing by a mother to her child, it’s gentle movements wash away every worry, they relax every tense muscle of your body.
Hand by hand the bottle is passed down Time’s grasp and with the help of Four he pours the healing potion into the limb mouth of the fallen hero. He subconsiously gulps it down his throat and his breathing immidiately becomes easier.
He mumbles something like an ancient saying in his sleep, then suddenly opens his eyes wide and stares at Wild. His eyes become slits from the pain as his palm touches his wound. He makes an effort to get up and before he can collapse to his knees, Wind pusses him up from his armpits and along with Sky they support his weight until he is ready to count on his own legs. “I’m okay” he says “I just need to wash the blood off, and a bandage…”
◇•◇•◇•◇•◇
Wind ignores the gesture politely ment for him because the back of his mind is always returning to the morning battle. He sould have been quicker. And they should have let him take the blow. Why was acceptable for Hyrule to be injured and not for Wind? “Like I haven’t been hurt before” he murmurs under his breath and soon the cook of the group catches his attention.
Wind watches as Wild makes their lunch, a soup made of garlic, boar meat, carrots and….other ingredients he isn’t able to identify. He looks so absorbed into what he’s doing, and the way he lovingly stirs the soup in the pot gives out his passion for cooking. This is the only time his characteristics seem to be relaxed and his muscles not tense. He expertly knows exactly what to add in the pot, when, how and the right amound of it. After a while Wild notices the young pirate’s soft glare pinned on him. He feels confused for just a second, then gifts Wind with an akward, yet pure smile, coming right from the depths of his finally calm soul.
The pirate continues walking around the place their camp is set. On the corner of his eye he can spot Time and Twilight practicing with their swords further at the nearby glade, showered by the light of the midday sun.
A peacefull feeling, able to break into the hearts of the coldest soldiers. A gentle breeze softly moves the leaves to the direction of the dense forest, all tints of green mixing together in a feast of nature. Bright and long grass turns golden under the sunrays randomly falling onto the petals of the prettiest flowers one has ever seen. They say an image is worth a thousand words. A pity Wind doesn’t care for words at this moment. He lets the two related heroes bond together without being interrupted and walks away, taking his moody disposition with him.
Every occasion the other heroes had shown their disbelief that he can manage what they can, comes to his mind as a blury memory, for his brain has found the perfect time to mess with him and play games. He can’t control it.
He tries to get his attention elsewhere–ah, Four is just coming back from the deep of the forest, carying a bunch of cut tree branches that will be used to keep the campfire lit for Wild to cook.
The weather surrounding their camp may be all nice and lovely, but their destination is covered in thick fog and dark mist, so they aren’t moving forward yet.
Four is struggling under the weight of the wood on his hands and is tilting right and left while he’s walking, as if he is about to fall every second.
Wind’s eye shines, the thought of being helpfull washes his pondering away. He starts walking towards the shortest hero, eager to help as he can. He is cut midways by a running Sky that offers a helping hand to Four. “No thank you-I-I don’t need help but it’s kind of y–” he trips over an anomaly on the ground and the hero of the sky grabs him on time to not fall face flat on the dirt.
Unfortunately or not, the branches he was carrying don’t avoid that fate and slip off his hold with a loud thud. As Four turns to face a bright-smiled-Sky and thank him, Wind is brought back to his misery.
◇•◇•◇•◇•◇
“We need more wood to last us until we start venturing again” Time announces, “any volunteers?” Wind felt more excited than ever to bring the resources back to the camp. He raised his hand up, feeling restless as he put his weight on one foot then the other playfully, imperceptibly hopping from his desire to make himself usefull.
Time looks around in unsatisfactory. Everyone has an excuse to not take the task and so far Wind is the only one available, his eyes faintly screaming “me, me!”. Time sighs and is about to announce Wind the responsibility of the chore when Four puts himself in. “Wind can keep his rest. I’m sure he is tired from the fight.”
“But I–”
“It’s okay, I’ll go. I don’t have anything important to do either way.”
Wind crosses his arms and huffs in annoyance. His breath blowing out of his mouth drifts some of his bang hairs out of the way but they come back at their original place right after.
He accepted it. Partially. Although now, it all makes sense to him. In the back of his head, he always has a suspicion that the others find him too young and a fear that, maybe, they’re right. Now he considers it’s all clear. But he will prove them wrong eventually.
“Right?”
◇•◇•◇•◇•◇
Dawn. Everyone is gathered around the campfire, its light seemingly becoming brighter as the colours of the sky begin to fade, taking their last form before nightfall. The majority of the clouds are dyed in a breathtaking way by the setting sun; shades of pink, like the petals of a young rose, darker in some parts and even velvet red in others. The whole sky has surrendered its light blue colour to an orange tint that makes you feel as if you were living inside a dream you wish you wouldn’t wake up from. It feels like observing the life of another being from a far away realm, like dwelling on a parallel universe.
“Technically, we are” Wind points out to himself in an imaginary, sarcastic tone and he feels nausious out of a sudden. He feels moving in all directions, as in a mysterious dance that shakes every bit of his existence. Glaring at a wide eyed Warriors swallowing earlier than he should have done, at Wild tripping over nothing and his bangs moving like choochoo jelly when he manages to get up, at Four as the sword he was inspecting slips through his hands, at Legend cursing under his cut by the seizures breath, at Sky supporting his body by pushing his belly and looking ready to throw up any moment now, at Time and Twilight sending looks of agreement to eachother, he knows he is not losing his mind. It is shaking, just not in the way an earthquake would. Not in the way the sea would move his ship, had it wanted to shake the life out of every member of his crew. No, the place around them still seems as peacefull as a graveyard near the time the sun should start its journey to the top of the morning sky.
They’re changing worlds.
Again.
The beautiful view of the sunset changes to that of the pitch dark, starless night, earlier than it should have, the colours fade more quickly than normal. The trees fall even though they are still proudly standing skyward, the ground is on fire even though the grass and wildflowers remain unharmed.
And suddenly, it starts to rain. Peacefull are the salty droplets, they follow gently one another until they reach their landing spot and meet with falling petals of the blooming nature that were lifted to the sky by the whole process. Wind looks around in surprise. His mouth opens widely, slowly, without being ordered to, as he realises they are still at the same Hyrule. He directs his head to the others and their expression is as troubled and surprised as he feels. “Is it over yet?” the younger hero thinks and a tint of hope brightens his eyes.
He of all people should have known.
It’s calm before the storm.
There’s a fallen tree log covered by various mushrooms, a lot of them could kill you if you attempted to make them your next and presumably last meal. They all subconsiously look at it like they have just witnessed the destruction of the most precious treasure to be guarded in the deepest and most secure place in all of Hyrule.
And just when their eyes are settled on the log, it happens. The sky seems to tear open in a deafening sound not easy to be defined and starts to pour all the mass of water Wind’s Hyrule would offer for the fish to live and the sailors to travel.
Thunder strikes right on the tallest tree in the whole forest, cracking it open just as an apple would be torn in two pieces after you cut it with a decent knife. The Links all flinch back at the sight and their shocked gasps can be heard echoing all over the place.
Wind tries to gulp his fear away but he just can’t escape the panic forming on his face, he can’t slow down his ever increasing heartbeat. With his eyes he searches for a way out of the storm, a way to stop the shivers running down his spine.
Another sharp lightning tears the sky. It doesn’t fade in the horizon, it travels all the way to the more and more unstable ground, it lands a breath away from a hyperventilating Wind and the sock makes the pirate fall to the earth.
“WIND!” He hears a worried cry from one of his friends, he is too afraid and shocked to find who the voice belongs to.
The youngest hero crawls a few steps back and with panic he turns his head, realising the others are slowly turning into dust. Wild is layed on the ground, his hands reaching out and slowly vanishing and leaving a hole where they should have been. Twilight is kneeling beside him, staring at his trembling fingers, slowly turning into dust soon to be caried away with the raging gusts of the wind.
Four glares at the little left of him, his arms and legs are gone, his torso starts decaying as well, the spots his parts once started are covered in mist and dust, spreading all over his body like an infection. He looks up to Hyrule running towards him. His eyes have nothing left of the courageous hero he thought he was.
“FOUR!!” Hyrule screams in despair watching as the last bit of his friend’s existence fades away. “No…no no no, NO!” This can’t be happening. Not to them, not now, not so quickly.
He looks around. Time is now starting to go through the process. Twilight is gone. Wild, Four, gone. Wind is still on the ground when finally he gets up seeking for help and decides that Warriors’ protective arms are the closest to safety.
Wind is sobbing now, not because he is afraid to go, he is just afraid to let go of his new friends, his family.
“Why..?”
The rest?
They fade too.
◇•◇•◇•◇•◇
The pirate feels like falling.
He is falling and he lands hard as well.
He looks around him. He sees the others. They have some bruises and scratches and most are rubbing their head.
“Are we…dead?” He mutters seemingly confused and scared.
Wouldn’t they not feel pain if they were dead though?
“I–I don’t think so.” Twilight replies.
Wind stays silent and makes an effort to get up. He shoves the dirt off his pants ignoring the stinging he feels from the various scratches all over his body.
Just like everyone else, the youngest hero looks around in awe and tangled emotions. They haven’t died, they have just moved to another world. Nobody seems to recognise this place and address it as his Hyrule. It doesn’t feel like Hyrule at all. The trees are few and odd, they look like none the heroes have ever seen, or every one of the species combined.
The Links are trying their best to understand what has just happened, without success. Whispers and theories are exchanged but the pieces do not seem to stick together.
“Anyhow, wherever we are at the moment, we can’t be assured that the inhabitants are not hostile nor that there aren’t monsters lurking in the corners of this world.” Time lectured, implying they should not be caught off guard. At the sound of the eldest’s voice, everyone stood quiet.
“Now, check your stuff and what we lack. Cherish your wounds and ready yourselves; we have some exploring to do.”
All these years | Bucky Barnes imagine
Tumblr media
Summary: Bucky Barnes was the love of your life before he went to war. You were also injected with something, which prevented you from aging. You run into Bucky again and all your feelings come rushing back. Inspired by: All these years by Camila Cabello
A/N: I have no idea if the romanian is correct, I used google translate so sorry if it's wrong.
It's been years. more than 70 even. Time had really flown by. You had several relationships, changed jobs every few years and had completed multiple studies. You didn't age. Back in the day, you had a husband. He was the love of your life and you were his world. However he had to go to war, he said he'd come back, he never did. You were captured, tortured and injected with a substance that prevented you from aging. It turned out to be useless for the people that captured you so they let you go. And that's why you've been 30 for the last 75 years.
You still lived in New York. You couldn't leave the place, it reminded you of better times and you couldn't just get rid of that. It was when you first saw the Avengers on the news when you got suspicious. He looked a hell of a lot like a buff Steve Rogers. Someone who should be around 100 right now. James, your husband had been good friends with him. He worked with Tony Stark so you decided to come by the tower and paid them a visit.
But before you could even ask for him, he saw you. ''Y/n Barnes?'' Your eyes widened. it really was Steve. ''Stevie Rogers? How?'' He laughed and pulled you into a hug ''I can ask you the same thing'' You laughed and the two of you spent the day catching up. Steve introduced you to the rest of the team and you got along with the rest of them.
''Steve?'' You were sitting on the roof with Steve, you needed to know what happened to your husband, for closure. ''Do you know what happened to James?'' You swallowed thickly as Steve pulled you into a side hug ''He fell during a mission. He's dead y/n'' You quietly started sobbing, you knew he was probably dead. Otherwise he'd be around 100 and that wasn't very likely. But it still hurt to hear that the love of your life died. So long ago.
After talking there for a while you said your goodbye, you promised to stay in touch and you did, every few weeks you sat down with him somewhere and talked, about now and about life before. So it didn't seem out of the ordinary when Steve called you about two weeks after you last saw him ''Hey Stevie, what's up?'' ''Y/n we we t-think'' he started stammering ''Come on Rogers get to the point'' You heard a quiet sigh from the other side ''Y/n we think we found Bucky''
That shattered your world. Could he still? No it was nearly impossible. The way Steve said it, it seemed like James ''Bucky'' Barnes, your husband had passed away years ago. ''Y/n?'' You couldn''t speak. You were frozen unable to say or do anything. You finally found your voice again after some time ''How? Where?'' ''We think he's in Romania'' You smiled to yourself. That was the place you went to on your honeymoon. He was never the type for beach vacations, he liked seeing and exploring new places. That's why he took you to Romania.
''We want you to join us, see if it's really him'' You took a deep breath ''of course, when?'' ''We're on our way as we speak'' You grinned, that was the Steve approach. ''Do I need to pack anything?'' ''No we've got everything covered, we'll be there in a minute'' and he didn't overexaggerate, in exactly a minute, Steve came to pick you up. He took you to the airport where you took a jet to Romania.
You were nervous. What is it wasn't him? that would break your heart. But what if it was him? how would you cope with that? You decided not to think too much about it and just get some rest. When you woke up again you heard soft whispers ''He's an assassin it's not safe for her'' ''She was his wife, he wouldn't hurt her'' ''He was brainwashed Rogers, he's programmed to hurt'' You were suddenly feeling sick, assassin? brainwashed? Steve saw your worried expression ''There's nothing to be worried about y/n. Everything will be okay''
You just nodded, you had no idea what was coming. You finally arrived in Romania after a few hours in the jet. You were a bundle of nerves at this point, you had no idea what to expect or do. You just followed Steve and the rest of the team. You were in the middle of a Romanian market, and you knew you had to stay with the team but the second you saw the plum stand you had to go. You loved plums, especially fresh ones. Bucky used to bring home plums every saturday, you Always slept in and he'd go to the market to bring you plums. That way you Always woke up to a nice and fresh breakfast.
You smiled to yourself once you felt the plums, they were fresh and amazing and you were going to buy a whole batch of them. You were not the only one who was interested and you accidently brushed against the other person ''I'm so sorry'' You looked at the guy next to you, when you realised he probably spoke Romanian ''imi pare rau'' The man looked at you and you froze.
Your whole world came crashing down ''It's no big deal'' His hair had grown a little longer, and his arms were definitely more muscled than before. His eyes were still the blue ones that you used to stare into and he smiles softly at you. You didn't know if he recognized you, you didn't want to push your luck, it's not like you were able to speak anyway. All the feelings you had dealt with came back. All the love you had once felt for him rushed back into you. You were staring at him, when you realised he stared back at you.
''Y/n?'' there was a crack in his voice. Everything that the brainwashing had blocked out returned, especially all the feelings he had for his wife. He dropped the plums in his hand and hugged her. He pulled her close, taking in her familiar scent. She still smelled like flowers and vanilla, she Always had.
Your arms wrapped around him tightly, you were never going to let him go again. The love of your life in your arms, after all these years, all this time you tought he was dead. You couldn't believe it. He pulled you away a little bit, studying your face ''How are you?'' You couldn't wait another second and pressed your lips against his. You had been thinking about you reuniting for decades but you could've never predicted it to be this good.
He kissed you back immidiately and his arms tightly wrapped around your waist, you pulled him as close to you as you could. You never wanted to let go again, ever. Unfortunately the two of you had to pull away when you were out of breath, your faces touching. ''I'm never letting you go again, James. Ever'' You felt his chuckle ghost your lips ''I never want to leave you again y/n'' You pecked his lips ''Good'' He grinned
 ''You know we missed so many wedding anniversaries'' He laughed ''Let's make up for all of them'' He intertwined your hands ''You realise it's about 80 years Buck'' He laughed again, he hadn't laughed in such a long time and here you were cracking him up every two minutes. God he had missed you ''We have time doll'' He kissed you again ''We're together again''
BTS Reaction to being their crush’s bias
Request: Hey I saw that you did a scenario where bts finds out they aren’t you bias and was wondering if you could do one where they find out they are your bias? Thank you!
Masterlist
A/N I didn't know if you wanted the reader to be their s/o or not but I decided it made it more sense if theyre just friends but have a crush on them? I hope thats okay ^^`
Jin
Jin had finally returned from the world tour he had taken and you had been dying to see him. As soon as you received news that he had arrived, you two had arranged to hang out. So now you were sitting cross legged on the bed trying to open a bag of popcorn while Jin tried to get YouTube to work on the television.
"Jin its fine if we don't see your performances right now.. I can just watch them later." You insisted as he failed to set up once more. He stood up and put his hands on his hips while turning to look at you.
"Are you joking? No way! I want to be right here with you so I can see how surprised you are to see my handsome face on tv." He said as you finally tore the bag open and sent popcorn flying everywhere.
"... Right. You do that." You said slowly before picking the pieces up and eating them. Jin just stared at you before going back to setting it up. Truth was he knew that you looked at him when they performed, and he could only hope he'd see you do it again since he had a crush on you for like.. Forever. You were halfway through the bag when Jin finally got YouTube to work, cheering and clapping his hands excitedly as he sat besides you and started to steal some popcorn. You sat and watched their performances, awed by the band. You still couldn't believe you were friends with someone of such a popular band, they were so incredibly talented. You realized that Jin had suddenly gotten silent and took your eyes off the screen to see him smiling at you.
"What?" You asked while taking a handful of popcorn into your mouth.
"So who's your favorite?" Jin asked. You slowed your chewing, considering your options. Either you tell the truth and risk fueling his ego even more, or you lie and damage it. You swallowed and made your decision. "Honestly? You're my bias."
Jin gasped dramatically and fanned himself, making a bunch of exaggerated facial expressions before sending you a flying kiss.
"I knew you couldn't resist my charms, I truly am talented and not to mention good looking."
"Dont make me take it back”
Tumblr media
Namjoon
You were sitting on the couch in the living room of the boys dorm, watching their performances with all of them. They had recently finished their tour in America and had invited you over to watch a rewind of their stages with them, of course you had to accept. You could barely focus on the actual show when all of the members were talking over each other, saying how Jungkook sung that note well or how Jin was behind a few steps, followed by retorts of how he was perfectly in sync.
"Guys can you be quiet? Y/N Probably cant even hear our song!" Namjoon scolded.
"Just cause you're her bias doesnt mean you can shush all of us!" Jungkook yelled out while the other members all muttered and nodded in agreement. Namjoon looked at them in surprise and then at you.
"What.. No I'm not... Am I?" He asked, looking legitimately confused. You honestly thought he knew. You laughed as the others all looked at you to await your answer.
"I thought it was obvious? Yeah, you're my bias." Once you said that, Namjoon covered his face and looked away so you wouldn't see him blushing. Jimin immidiately poked fun at him for getting embarrassed but Namjoon was too busy smiling at the fact that he was your bias to care.
"Stop poking me Jimin, maybe you'd be their bias too if you were the tallest."
Tumblr media
Yoongi
That morning you woke up early to your phone ringing right in your ear. You answered the phone half asleep, not even knowing who it was until you heard Yoongi's voice on the other line asking you if you wanted to accompany him to practice. You sleepily agreed before hanging up, getting ready and dropping by later in the day.
"I mean yeah. Yoongi's my bias." You admitted to Namjoon who had started up a conversation during their break.
Yoongi, who had been trying to take a drink, choked on his water when he heard you and broke out into a coughing fit. You looked over at him in concern as he coughed a couple more times and cleared his throat, waving his hand around to signal that he was okay.
"I am? I mean- yeah. Of course I am." He coughed a final time and looked away so you couldn't see him blushing. The rest of the practice, Yoongi couldn't help but get nervous. He did have a major crush on you and the fact that you biased him only made him even more nervous.. But you can fully expect him to use this against you. One day you might not want to do something with him and he'll just give you a knowing look that you can't resist.
"...Not even for your bias?"
Tumblr media
J-Hope
You didn't know why you had agreed to playing Truth or Dare with Hoseok and his friends, you knew you were gonna suffer. Yet here you were, watching Jin complete his dare of trying not to laugh for a minute straight, only for Jimin's aegyo to send him over the edge with laughter and make everyone scream with cringe. At least it was temporary, unlike Jungkook whom had to yell for the remainder of the game thanks to Namjoon's dare.
"Y/N, TRUTH OR DARE?" Jungkook yelled at you, making you jump.
This could possibly be the most vital decision you were going to make in your life. Either you pick dare and risk having to do some crazy stunt for the members entertainment, or you pick truth and risk being asked something revealing that they'll never let you live down. You swallowed nervously, deciding you preferred verbal embarrassment over doing something physically ridiculous.
"Truth." You answered. Jungkook thought for a second, then his face lit up.
"WHO'S YOUR BIAS??"
Oh no. This was it. All seven members cheered at Jungkook's choice in question before leaning in to await your answer. You looked at all of their faces, from Taehyung's sweet smile and Jin winking to bribe you into picking him, then to Hoseok's bright grin. You sighed, pressing your lips together before pointing to Hoseok as your bias. The dorm interuppted into chaos once more. They all attacked Hobi which was busy with screaming with both excitement that his crush had just called him their bias, and fear that the members were all currently crowding around him.
"I'm sorry my good looks are too much for Y/N, don't attack me!"
Tumblr media
Jimin
"Y/N!" Jimin called out to you while you were eating on the couch, watching BTS' choreography to Go Go.
You looked up with a noodle sticking out of the corner of your mouth, quickly slurping it up. ".. Yes?"
"You're watching Go Go without me I told you to waiiiit." He whined before taking a seat besides you and settling his own bowl of ramen noodles in his lap. You laughed and wiped your mouth.
"I'm sorry, you took too long." You two had been friends for a long time, but you'd been lacking a lot of quality time with him. Jimin had been so busy with the new album coming out that he didn't even time to reply to messages sometimes, so when he finally got a break you immidiately asked him to hang out.
"Your outfits and dance moves to this dance are so cute. Omg, look at Taehyung." You smiled when you saw him take the spotlight. Jimin looked up from his bowl of noodles, staring at you with puppy dog eyes.
"Y/N I can not believe you, I am Park Jimin, your best friend, the man whom has been at your side through thick and thin, the groups mochi, yet you compliment Kim Taehyung!" He put his hand on his chest dramatically, pretending to be hurt. Truth was though,, the guy was crushing on you. Big time.
"Chill Jimin, I was just kidding! You know you're my bias." You smiled, and Jimin looked like he had just been shot. He turned into a giggly mess and looked away, he didn't actually expect you to say that.
"Wait, really?"
Tumblr media
Taehyung
"Dude." Taehyung said, rolling over and shining his phone light into your face.
"Taehyung I'm trying to sleep." You muttered tiredly, opening your eyes to look at him. Taehyung had barely gotten back from his MAMA performance a day ago, and not knowing when you two could hang out again you'd asked him to come over. But then it started snowing, a lot. Taehyung complained about the cold until you finally told him to just sleep over and you two built a blanket fort. But you had ended up getting sleepy, though Taehyung didn't seem to be sleeping anytime soon.
"Do you think the fans like me?" He asked. You frowned, rubbing the sleepiness from your eyes before propping yourself onto your elbow.
"Of course they do Tae.. Why are you asking?" You said as he turned his phone back to him and then turned it off, covering you two in darkness.
"I don't know.. Just doubtful, I guess." He said. Sometimes Taehyung would confide in you with his feelings, and even though it was late and you were tired, you always heard him out.
"Are you serious? You're Kim freaking Taehyung, BTS' visual, their sweet boy, a caring bean, a meme, the one with the box smile, the one who won most handsome face, the one with a laugh that plEASES THE GODS." You could go on but Taehyung cut you off by hitting you with his pillow, laughing. "You didn't let me finish! And, and you're my bias." You added. Taehyung was glad the lights were off so you couldn't see him blushing at your words.
"Thank you, Y/N."
Tumblr media
Jungkook
You and Jungkook were walking around town going shopping, something you had missed for a long time. Jungkook's schedule made it hard for you two to have time for each other, you only ever had time for the occasional text or a call if you were really lucky. But with Jungkook having a break from his schedule, you took the oppurtunity to go out and do something together. Jungkook was just as excited- if not more, to finally be spending the day with you. He refused to admit it, but he had started developing feelings for you and being away for so long was torture.
"Y/N look I'm Hoseok." Jungkook said before pulling a beanie over his head like Hoseok was always seen wearing them. You laughed and shook your head at him.
"Aww poor Hoseok, leave your members alone." You had just finished saying your sentence when Jungkook turned to look at you, his brown eyes wide.
"Why are you defending my hyungs and not the golden maknae?" He asked you. "I thought I was your one and only, your friend, your comrade, partner in crime, the one you choose over anyone else, YOUR PICO DE GALLO, but I guess I was wrong. My own best friend biases Hoseok over me." Jungkook dramatically clutched his chest and sobbed. You didn’t even know what the heck ‘pico de gallo’ meant. (it’s a Spanish dish but can also be a saying for close friends- at least where i’m from lmao)
"Noo, Jungkook, you're my bias!" You insisted while coming up to him, he looked at you in surprise,
"Am I really?"
"No, my bias is Yoongi."
"Are you serious??"
"I'm kidding, it's you."
"STOP CONFUSING ME."
You laughed at his expression. "Okay, no I'm serious. You're actually my bias." Jungkooks face lit up again, hoping he didn't look as excited as he actually felt.
"Oh uh.. O-Of course I am I mean.. who wouldn’t fall for this talented and handsome face right?”
in your orbit (on ao3 & ff.net)
distinque
Summary:
you can see whole galaxies from your backyard if you ever looked // in which tenya finally finds a hero
in your orbit
x
The mark of a true hero was performing unconsciously, Tenya Iida learned. When you acted without reasoning, going only off instinct, it meant that your actions are who you truly were. He first noticed it when Midoriya stopped what he was doing and ran to save Uraraka during the entrance exams. It first touched him when Todoroki showed up to save not only pro-hero Native, but also Midoriya and himself. He knew he was making the right choice in becoming a hero when he took control; jumping on top of the exit sign. Truthfully, he’d seen it in nearly all of his classmates. They were exceptional people with exceptional quirks, bound to do exceptional things! And with the amount of training they’re putting it, it won’t be long before they’re all real heroes!
Tenya heard a loud crash followed along by a string of expletives, and sighed, looking up at the left side of their new home. Soon enough, a light on the third floor turns on, and the current tenet of that room, Bakugo Katsuki, lets out another string of swears, loudly at two in the morning. As Tenya sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose, he realized that Bakugo is the only person he hasn’t seen hero potential for. His quirk was amazing—he secretes nitroglycerin and turns it into fuel for explosions, and can use it in a multitude of both offensive and defensive techniques! There’s no limit on what he can do, the countless lives he could save or change! And he’s naturally a genius, able to think on his feet and knowing what parts of his body he needs to change in order to advance into the next stage. On paper, Bakugo Katsuki is an amazing hero! His attitude is what lacks, in Tenya’s opinion. He’s too hot-headed to be valuable in a fight, and too egotistical to save anyone other than himself. And seeing how he was yelling during the middle of the night—he was inconsiderate too. Everyone needed to get a good night’s rest if they wanted to succeed the next morning, that was just common sense! The only reason he was up was because he couldn’t sleep, and he decided to spend the extra time training outside, away from anyone who could hear.
As far as he could tell, Bakugo Katsuki was not hero material.
He took a seat on the grass underneath him, taking a break from his training. His blue eyes immediately wandered up the side of the building and into the sky, seeing the stars twinkle above him. It was rare that he ever paused his training—rarer for him to do something so trivial as to stargaze, but they seemed to call him tonight, begging for his attention. They shined in a way he's never noticed before, all at once, bright enough to blind him while being hundreds of thousands of millions mile away. This was probably one of the most beautiful things he's ever witnessed.
And then he seen it. Flying—or floating—dangerously close to the dormitory was Uraraka Ochako, tossing and turning above him. She drifted lazily around, spinning around in circles and gradually making her way up higher. It was more than a little strange to find her outside at this hour—but if she wanted to train, so be it. Tenya watched her for a moment longer, and then seen Bakugo Katsuki rounding the building, not going too fast but still hot on her tail, using his hands to propel himself after her. Why would they be training together at this time of night? he thought, squinting his eyes to get a better look at them. He watched as Bakugo got close enough to touch her, and momentairily spooked himself after he floated immidiately after. Bakugo latched onto her, shaking her slightly, and stalled his explosions. For a moment, he say her prop her head up and the two seemed to talk, seemingly forgetting that they were floating, both rising higher above their floor. Climbing onto his back, Uraraka released her quirk and the two plummeted down to the ground, saved by her reactivating and deactivating at the last moments. Still carrying her, Bakugo walked back into the building, all without noticing Tenya Iida watching them from the field, less than twenty feet away from them.
He had to get to the bottom of this.
x
After seeing Bakugo escort Uraraka back to her room, he followed Bakugo to his room and knocked, soft enough not to wake his neighbors but loud enough to catch his attention. Loud shuffling and groans were heard on the other side of the door and his voice rang out, sleepily, "You're sleeping w—" The door opened and Bakugo's crimson eyes widened slightly, before narrowing and a frown formed on his face. "Fuck off, four eyes," he spat, before attempting to close the door, catching Iida's hand in the frame.
"What were you doing with Uraraka?" he asked, his tone serious.
"Fuck, you saw that?!" he groaned, rolling his eyes, "Don't fuckin' worry about it—you didn't see shit."
"Were you training? At two in the morning?"
"Who the fuck trains at two in the fucking morning?"
"Why were you out with her then?!"
"She needed help, dumbass!" Bakugo stared at him, annoyed, and stuck his hands in his pockets. Huffing, he said, "Ochako's been overusing her quirk and it acts up sometimes, when shes unconsious." He stepped forward, narrowing his eyes, "Don't tell Aizawa-sensei, she's working on it."
"Why were you helping her?"
"Fuck you," Bakugo said, rolling his eyes, "Heroes help, it's just what we do, fuck face." With that, he slammed the door, groaning loudly. And as Tenya walked down the hall, he felt, for the first time, that all of his classmates would make great heroes.
Sandy Waltz
This is the second imagine for my New Year Celebration event, which also happens to be my first fic in 2018! It was requested by a lovely @padfootagain for Caspian with the following prompts:
11. “Can I steal you for a dance?
46. "I accidentally fell in love with you. And I don’t think there’s a way I can undo it.”
51. “Do we kiss or do we not?”
They’re gonna be written in italics.
It was also asked for this imagine to be cute, so I tried my best at this :)
I hope you’ll enjoy!
Nothing was better than the Grand Royal Ball, held annually in Cair Paravel. Weeks before it the castle’s staff started preparing the Big Hall for the great event. Everyone have been talking about it for days, discussing who will wear what, who are they going with and what not. You weren’t an exception. As a member of one of the most respected Narnian families, you received quite a lot of invitations from men, just as wealthy as you. But you politely declined one after another, saying you already have someone. The truth was, you were waiting for a certain person to make a move, although you highly suspected that he wouldn’t do it, that another lady will be by his side that evening. He was only a friend of yours after all, why should he invite you?
And there was also another difficulty — he was The King of Narnia, Caspian X, your childhood friend, best friend you could even say. And you had feelings for him, which he was very unlikely to return.
When did this happen, you couldn’t tell. Once, during on of your evening walks through the woods, you looked at him and all of a sudden felt butterflies taking over your stomach. You heard your friends talking excitedly about falling in love but never experienced these feelings yourself. And now you were struggling because this thing called love turned out to be very strong. Every time you met Caspian, you acted much more shy than you did before. Every time he smiled at you, you blushed like crazy which never happened to you before. Every time he touched your hand or gave you a friendly hug, you felt shivers running down your spine.
Not that it really bothered you, but another ‘benefit’ of love did. It was constant jealousy. If you saw Caspian with another woman, you clenched your jaw and looked as if you were feeling extremely unwell. If he smiled at her, it was even worse. Then you weren’t sure if tonight you won’t find yourself bombarding innocent sea water with small stones, bursting out all your despair.
Love didn’t feel pleasant for you all in all. And upcoming Grand Royal Ball surely wasn’t making it easier.
Caspian hasn’t invited you when the Ball was officially announced. Caspian hasn’t invited you a week after. Then two weeks after. You did talk about the Ball though, quite often, maybe too often for your liking. Caspian always asked you who are you going with and was always surprised by another “no one”.
“But so many men would sell their souls to accompany you!” he exclaimed every time.
And you thought that you don’t need those souls, you only craved for one.
Days went by and Caspian didn’t hear you asking him the same question as he did. Honestly speaking, you simply didn’t want to hear the answer. You were completely sure that there is a woman. No doubt. And this information from Caspian’s mouth would totally break your heart.
The very day before the Ball you and Caspian went on your traditional evening walk and the question about the Ball partner rose again.
“It couldn’t be so!” Caspian exclaimed in surprise. “The Ball is tomorrow and you’re still alone for it!”
You just shrugged in response and a sad smile appeared on your lips.
“No, it’s not how things should go! I know how determined you are, Y/N, and all your words about the right person, I know them too. But can you forget about it, for Aslan’s sake, at least for the Ball? Or you’ll end up going there alone!”
'How stupid are you!’ you wanted to shout at him but didn’t as it would be reasonably weird, shouting at the King while several people around were still there.
“Maybe I won’t go at all,” you mumbled at yourself but Caspian seemed to hear you anyway.
“What? Are you for real?” He was truly shocked.
You just looked away and didn’t reply.
What would you say anyway? That you loved him with all your heart and it scared you so much that you were ready not to attend the Ball just not to see him with someone else? No, not the right words for now.
Later this evening you got invited again, by Lord Grispe. You were so desperate by that moment that you accepted his invitation right away. You saw his satisfied look and immidiately regretted your decision, but it was too late.
So, you were going to the Ball with Lord Grispe, who was most probably the most boring person in the whole world. You understood it as soon as he met you by the doors of the Big Hall, offered you his hand and since then you didn’t hear a single thing from him. He was grinning like a winner to everyone who gave the two of you jealous looks, he introduced you to his friends — you definitely didn’t need to be introduced as everyone knew you, but Lord Grispe wouldn’t miss a chance to put you on display.
He was totally pleased by the way everyone looked at you. But he wouldn’t remain so for long if he saw just one person. Just one person, whose eyes were filled not only with simple jealousy but also pure anger.
This person was indeed The King himself.
Caspian was totally unsure about why didn’t he invite you in the first place. Now that he was standing in the corner, drinking the best Narnian ale to be possibly made, he didn’t find any good reasons for that and was becoming more and more disappointed with himself. He was scolding himself with such words that no one would expect to hear from The King Caspian X.
How could he came with Lady Mulsei, who he didn’t even know a lot about? Yes, she was close to the Royal Court, but not to Caspian.
What was worse, he knew the answers. Deep down he knew them all. But he was too afraid of them to admit it, even in his own mind.
Caspian had feelings for you and they were certainly the ones people called 'being in love’.
He watched you from his place and almost physically suffered, identifying a fake smile on your face and your eyes full of frustration. Caspian’s partner wasn’t present anywhere near him so a thought crossed his mind. Something pushed him forward and he rushed in your direction.
“Can I steal you for a dance?”
You shivered when you heard such a familiar voice. Your eyes met Caspian’s and he slightly winked, offering you his hand. As Lord Grispe wasn’t the one to argue with His Highness, you soon were dragged from the Big Hall.
“Where are we going? I though that a round of waltz was supposed to be now in the Hall.”
“We’re going somewhere better than the Hall.”
Another wink followed that sentence and you felt like you would pass out if Caspian does this one more time.
You breathed in fresh humid air as you two reached the seaside. It didn’t take you long, you were admiring a beautiful sunset in just five minutes after leaving the castle. When you looked at Caspian, you noticed that he had a gentle smile on his face and couldn’t help but smile yourself. After all, you would be pleased with any place as long as he’s by your side.
"Mind having a dance here?" Caspian asked, turning to you.
You merely shook your head and soon you could've been found slowly dancing on the shore, without any music, your long dress getting covered in wet sand very soon. But at this point you didn't really care. All that mattered were Caspian's eyes locked in yours.
"Don't we look stupid?" you whispered, your voice going husky all of a sudden.
"We probably do, but do you care?" Caspian answered, leading you into another round of waltz.
"Not really."
"That's what I'm saying," he nodded with a smirk on his lips.
For some while you kept silently moving along the seaside, but then Caspian interrupted the silence that settled between the two of you. It wasn't uncomfortable at all, but he felt that right now was just a perfect moment to confess something.
"Y/N, do you know how much of a fool I am?" he began. You looked up at him, frowning.
"Why?"
"I didn't invite you to the Ball, can you imagine?"
"I certainly can," you replied, frowning even harder. Your heartbeat went stronger and you prayed Caspian won't feel it.
"And I'm probably the stupidest man in Narnia. You look gorgeous today, Y/N, and I regret not having you by my side tonight."
It was unhealthy for your heart to be beating so fast, you suspected. You didn't notice that you stopped dancing a few minutes ago. Your knees went weak and you tried you best to stay still.
"And actually, I regret not having you by my side for the whole life. Previous life, I mean. Well, I had you by my side but not in a way I wanted to. You know..." Caspian completely confused himself and fell silent, blushing hard.
"W-what?" you mumbled, not believing your ears.
No, you weren't making his confession easy at all.
"I accidentally fell in love with you. And I don't think there's a way I can undo it," Caspian whispered, nervously biting his lower lip afterwards. "See what I mean now?"
You absolutely weren't ready to hear those words. What was more surprising, Caspian spoke your mind. If you ever considered admitting your feelings straight to his face, it would be the exact words you would say.
Caspian was terrified by the silence that followed his words. He suddenly wanted to take his words back. What if you didn't like him? Then it meant that he ruined your friendship forever.
But instead of answering you looked at his lips which he was still biting. You needed all your courage to say what you wanted to.
"Do we kiss or do we not?"
You gasped at your own words when you heard them actually blurting out of your mouth. But Caspian merely heaved a relieved sigh and smiled, his cheeks still red a bit.
"Well, if you want to," he replied and leaned closer to you. You didn't have time to respond as he put a gentle kiss on your lips, closing his eyes.
Another round of sandy waltz followed. A couple dancing on the beach to no music did look slightly weird. But this couple had no care about it whatsoever.
Nov 10th, Tuesday 16:07
Fucking finally.
Jens thought as he closed his laptop after the last class was over and done with for today. He got up from his seat at his desk, stretching, before wandering off to his closet.
He considered for a moment what to wear, as he wasn’t sure if this date required anything out of the ordinary. Certainly formal wear was too much, given their plan was to sit on a bus and have a walk. Idealess he simply grabbed his red hoodie he loved so much and put it on. He checked his hair in the mirror, before he took his phone of the charger and felt ready to leave. He was a bit short on time, but 15 minutes should be sufficient to get to their meetup spot.
He had reached the stairs when he realised that the house seemed oddly quiet.
„Lotte?“ Jens shouted confused, as she should be home by now. And she was usually very noisy being around, no matter if she was in her room or downstairs. Getting a bit worried, he went to check her room.
Empty.
Okay, now he may be a bit scared even. Perhaps his mom and Lotte were still on her way here. Could be that they went to the supermarket or backery or something. Still. He couldn’t push down his gut feeling telling him something was very wrong.
It made him check up on his mother’s room as well and to further his worry he found her asleep in her bed. He frowned and walked up to her into the dim lit room. She had at least taken her meds and drank the water he had put on her nightstand this morning. He also was pretty sure he had heard the alarm going off an hour ago. Jens should have checked himself back then, but then the class had started and he had decided against it.
Her breathing was calm and steady. She was fast asleep.
The screen of her phone next to the empty glass lit up. It caught his attention as he tore off his eyes of his mother’s resting face.
7468. The phone unlocked and he quickly read through the notifications.
The last message recieved being:
Anna 16:26 : My last class starts in five minutes and afterwards I would have to take Lotte home with me, if I can’t drop her off at hers. Please give me a call back to let me know what to do here. Lotte is crying for you for an hour now and won’t stop. If possible pick her up as soon as you can. Please call! I’m getting worried too!
Shit.
Breathe!
Now think, Jens, think.
He put his mother’s phone down, turning on his heel and running down the stairs, as he fished for his own phone in his jeans’s pocket. He had the number saved month ago without ever having needed it.
It was immidiately picked up.
„Jens?“ Anna’s voice appeared on the other end, the relief strong in her tone.
„Give me 15 minutes. I’m on my way!“
„Alright. I’ll start the lesson, but just come in once you are here, okay?“
„Will do!“
He hung up, grapping the car keys from the little ceramic bowl in the hallway. He hasn’t taken the car since getting used to it after recieving his lisence. His mom would go on and on about getting to know the car. He couldn’t be more grateful, as he hurried out of the house and over to the car waiting on it’s spot on the street.
He was eighteen now and the car was in his name, he was allowed to take it. It still felt wierd to sit alone behind the steering wheel trying to recall all the steps of starting this damn thing.
It took Jens fortunately only ten minutes to get to the building of the music school and only five more to find a parking spot. Thank god.
Three minutes later he reached the classroom of Anna, the sound of Chopin being played on a grand piano filling the building as he came closer. It made him remember all his own piano lessons of his childhood. He kinda missed them a little now. And he kinda hated having stopped when alcohol, weed and girls became more interessting to him a couple years back.
Jens only had opened the door, when his sister jumped off her seat next to her teacher. Her eyes red and swollen, tears running down her face as she run up to him. He opened his arms, kneeling down, to take his sister into a big hug, as she slung her arms around his neck, crying desperately into the hoodie he wore, as Lotte buried her head in chest.
It broke his heart.
„Hey. I’m here. It’s alright.“ He tried to calm her, his hand running up and down her back as she sobbed, desperately gasping for air. It reminded him of last night and his own fear and panic.
Anna looked at them sympathically and told the boy behind the piano to take a break for a bit, before she walked over to the two siblings comforting each other.
„Is she dead?“ He heard Lotte quietly asking and if his heart haden’t already been torn apart for his sister, it definitely had been now. How could an eight year old assume this first before anything else? Jens came to the sad conclusion that Lotte may have noticed more than his mom and he had thought.
„No, of course not. She just didn’t hear the alarm. She is sleeping at home. I’m so sorry, that you had to wait for me.“ Jens said as he leaned back a little, trying for a reassuring smile, brushing strands of hair out of Lotte’s face. „I promise, mom is fine.“
Lotte nodded faintly and immidiately dug her head back into his chest, not having stopped crying yet.
Helplessly Anna and Jens looked at each other, waiting for Lotte to calm down a bit, both of them whispering in hushed voices words of comfort to the little girl clinging to her brother.
„Next time, you can also call me. Might be better.“ He told Anna, as he picked up Lotte into his arms and stood, once the breathing resembled normality.
„Okay, tell Helena that I don’t mind switching her to late classes and bringing her home afterwards, if it is needed.“ The woman offered, patting Lotte’s back, who didn’t appeared to notice anything around her, her sobbing becoming less frequent though. Anne got the backpack and Lotte’s coat from the chair his sister had sat on until he had arrived, turning towards Jens: „Can you manage to carry that all somehow?“
„I’ll try.“ He said, taking one arm off his sister, to slung her things around his underarm before placing it back. It was a lot of additional weight. He prayed he’d be able to make it to the car.
„I guess, I’ll see you then next week, instead of Helena?“
„Yes definitely. Thank you for everything.“
„Anytime.“
Nodding his head at Anna, he went to leave. A minute later listening to the familiar sound of the piano being played again behind him.
Lotte’s eyes were closed and her breathing was slow as they reached the car. She had been fallen asleep on their way out. Cautiously sitting her in the backseat and putting the seat belt on, Jens put her stuff next to Lotte on the bench. Regarding her for a moment longer.
Only when he had gotten around and into the driver seat, the door closed behind him, had Jens pulled out his phone, as another frightening thought hit him.
Lucas.
KAREN ( Peter Parker X Reader )
Supp guys! I know you all are waiting for the Get Some part 2. But i wanna post this first. Don't you worry people I will follow up the part two Of Get Some. For now enjoy this one.
" Oh dear. . . " said as she looked at the computer screen.
" Voice System Deleted. . " the screen flashed this word as her mouth dropped. She just wanted to see the Spiderman Suit that his dad made for Peter. It was all done until she deleted the voice command.
She heard foots steps as she immidiately placed a camo microchip so she could haywire the suit. The foot steps got louder as Y/n muttered profanities then ran out and hid in a corner. Happy entered the room as he saw the case the contained the suit open. He looked around as Y/n hid down. After scanning around, he closed the case and left to deliver the uniform.
" This is bad. " The girl said as she dashed her way to her room. She popped open her laptop as she locates the laptop.
" Friday, how long does it take to make the suit's voice command? " she said as her fingers tapped away the codes.
" I cannot say the approximate time but it could take a month or more, Ms. Stark. " the computer answered as Y/n muttered, " Crap. "
" Is there a way for me to help the suit work. With out the voice command of the suit. It would be useless. " she asked as she struggled to maintain calm.
" You did put a microchip on the suit maam. You could run the suit while you remake the voice command of the suit. " the computer suggested.
" What?!, but that would mean I would- " "Yes, Sorry Ma'am but that is all I can get. I could call Mr. Stark about it. " the computer stated as Y/n held her forehead in stress. She didn't think her clumsiness would actually lead to this. But she had to fix this.
" No Friday. Alright, I'll run the suit. Do me a favor and recreate the suit's designed voice command. I'll take care in transfering to the suit.
From that moment, You would always be alerted when Peter would wear the suit. You tried her best to make her voice as robotic as possible. It was funny that Peter would call her suit Lady. You go to the same school as him and no one really knew that you are a daughter of the Iron Man. You liked Peter too. Ever since you two met, your feelings for him continued to develope but he like Liz Allan, the beauty and brains of Midtown School. You kept a low profile and had your name changed to Potts so the relation isn't near.
Peter found you fun to talk to. He would sometimes sleep with the suit on just to talk you, unknown to him that you were just running the suit.
" Y/n, are you ok? You've been really distant?" Ned asked you as Peter stood beside him lookin at you. You opened her mouth to answer. " I - I, you see I've been busy. I'm building the Lightsaber at the moment and I wanna use it as soon as possible so yeah I gotta go, bye! " you said and ran out. You leave school early cause you have taken the schedule of when and what time Peter would suit up and patrol Queens.
Now you were, at your seat as you work with Peter. You were trying to wake him up. It seems that he was knocked out badly.
A few moments later, Peter woke up from a shake. He sat up and growned.
" Ughh. . . My head. " he groaned as you snapped back to your holographic screen and hurriedly placed the mic on and tried to be as calm as possible.
" You appear to have a mild concusion. " she said as she began to monitor his health status.
" Ok stable. " you said off mic so Peter would'nt hear.
" So hey. . . Where am I right now? " she heard Peter ask.
" I'm not sure, the container walls are hindering my sensors. " you reasoned as you tried to scan but fails. You can see Peter scanning his surrounding as well.
" Wait a minute, they must've hijacked the truck and took'em in to their evil lair. So lady we're goin to find our way this one. " He replied as you tried tried to find a way to help him.
Peter began backing up trying to much momentum to break down the door. You watched as he counted down run towards the door breaking it open. Peter stumble his way out as he stood wobbly as he got out.
" Uh,. Huh? " he looked around to scan the unfamiliar surroundings the room was big and contained alot of same black metal containers.
" what is this place? " he asked as you began to scan the place yourself and began to research.
" Suit lady where am I? " you heard Peter ask as you finished reading the info you've found about the place he was in.
" You're in the most secured facility in the eastern seaboard. The Damage Control Deep Storage Vault. " " No! Seriously. " he cursed as you took a sip of your coffee and sat back. It was useless to get out of that vault.
You watched him groaned as he tries to open the sealed doors.
" Ugh. . . Gosh Peter, be thankful your cute cause I might have flew their by now to give you an Iron Slap. " you muttered of mic as you rubbed your temple as you watch the poor boy find his way out. You sighed as you turn on the mic.
" The doors must likely remain close till morning. " You said as you held back your sarcasm for the sake of the voice command protocol.
Peter finally settled down and built a bed swing using his web as You watched him with your hands under your chin with your elbows resting on the table.
You stared at Peter at the screen as he settled down at the bed.
" Hey suit lady, I kinda feel bad calling you suit lady. You know?" Peter said as sincerity coated his voice. ' How sweet. ' you thought as you watched him.
" I should probably give you a name. A Glitz? No no no, god thats-thats weird. " he said as you laughed at his dorkiness.
" Its ok. " you said through the mic.
Peter swung off the swing as you watched him fall off as you voice out a small giggle that Peter heard making him smile inside the mask, " What about Karen? " he stated.
You watch him land on the floor on purpose. The name suits the voice command. It was programmed to be a female voice.
" You could Call me Karen, if you would like? " you stated with your smile neverr leaving your lips as you stood from the couch and leaned on the table inside your room.
Peter felt something in ' Karen's ' voice like he could hear a smile behind it but it felt weird and nice at the same time
" Hey Karen, what else can this suit do?" he asked as you watched him hang upside down as he read his chemistry book in coincidence that you too was actually reading.
You activated the flight suit as you heard him gasp through your earpiece.
" What! " he gasped.
Peter was practically rummaging all the suits ability as you just showed him all its abilities. He was now playind the laser symbol on the white gray walls of the vault.
" Ricochet Web." You stated as he repeated it making you activate the command as he shot a web making it jump back to him almost hitting him.
" Cool. "
" Spider web. " you said as countless spider webs shot out of Peter's wrist as he walked around making you laughed at his clueless-ness of how the web works. You then spoke out another command.
" Web Grenade. "
" WEB GRENADE! " you heard him yell as he shot a web making spread across the wall.
You continued to tell him all the commands until he was now using the web into a jumping rope. You could practically feel his boredom as your head dropped to your elbows.
" Should I tell Liz that I'm Spiderman? "
Your head shot up from the sketchpad on your lap. You were sketching out Peter's face in a smile. The name of the girl utterly made you feel jealous as you rolled your eyes and angrily flipped the sketch pad into another page.
" Whose Liz? " you said trying to stay calm as possible as stroked the black color pencil on the pad heavily.
" Who's Liz? Haha she's the best, she's awesome. She's just a girl who goes to my school. And yeah, I'd really want to tell her. It's kinda weird ya know? " he said in a dreamy tone.
You sighed as you looked at him in a sad look.
" Hey, I'm spiderman. " he said as you continued to gawking at him at the screen.
" What's weird about that? " your tone came out softer.
" What if she is expecting someone like Tony Stark? Could you imagine how disappointed she would be if it was me. " he confessed. You didn't minded the protocol and spoke.
" Well, If I were Her? I wouldn't be disappointed at all. " you stated with a warm smile.
Peter felt warmth surge his chest. " Thanks Karen, you know you sound alot like Y/n. " he said as curiousity struck you when you heard your name.
" and who is this Y/n? " you asked.
" Well, practically the coolest person and friend ever. She likes Star Wars and she is really a great friend. I think I'm practically thinking that she is my best friend. " he confessed.
' Best Friend. Huh . . .' you mumbled sadly.
" But . . . " Peter continued as you shot up.
" I've been feeling funny around her. I would find myself practically staring at her in Chemistry class, or when in lunch I would let her rest her head on my shoulder. I'm feeling really weird when I'm with her. " he confessed. Red dusted its way to your cheek as you looked down and smiled.
" Until she suddenly began to be distant. I miss her. " he stated sadly with a sigh. Now you felt bad.
" Maybe she's just working in something? " you reasoned out.
" Well I wish she could tell me. I'm . . . Getting really worried for her. I Miss her. . . So much. " he stated.
" I miss You too Peter. " you accidentally said.
" what?" Peter asked as you panicked and covered the mic. " I mean't that She Misses You too. " you answered as your breath hitched.
" Thanks, its really nice to have someone to talk too. " he replied.
" Your Welcome. " you replied with a smile. With a hint of relief, you felt butterflies surge into your stomach.
Should I make a part two?
Last Christmas
This story is fully inspired by my favourite Christmas song ever which is Last Christmas by Wham, I just love it so much.
Takes place a year after finishing Hogwarts. Let's just imagine that everything was right and no war happened.
Tumblr media
This party kinda sucked, well, at least you thought so. You were usually more than up for any party action but today just weren't in the right mood. It was too crowded for your liking, you prefered hanging out only with your close friends. Alcohol was too strong — "the best muggle thing I've had so far in my entire life", as said by James. "Besides my beautiful and gorgeous wife, of course" he then added, pinched by Lily afterwards. And plus, you barely knew anybody, which was quite surprising as at Potter's Christmas party all faces were expected to be familiar. That was most probably connected with their recent honeymoon, you thought, when they went to America and made what felt like thousands of new friends. You have met some of them because you visited Lily and James quite often but somehow new people always appeared at their place.
Unable to recognise anyone around you, you made your way to the nearest table and grabbed a few cookies. You were supposed to have fun after all, and you tried, eating your boredom away. To be fair, cookies were really good, Lily has always loved baking and did it perfectly without any magic used. A warm white chocolate drink with marshmallows, which you found at another table, was also something that made you a little bit happier and not so eager to leave. You took a sip from a cute snowman-like mug and a smile appeared on your lips. Maybe the party wasn't so bad as you first thought.
"No, nevermind," you mumbled to yourself, putting the mug down and rolling your eyes. You simply couldn't help it when you saw someone, two someones actually, who at the meantime were being hugged by a hosting this party couple
"I should've expected them," you mumbled again, closing your eyes so that you wouldn't see those happy faces. If this party could've possibly get any worse, now was the moment.
When you opened your eyes again, you were met by Lily's guilty look from afar. She knew it very well that you wouldn't like these two coming, she knew you would be upset — and yet invited them! You couldn't blame her though, James probably insisted on inviting his best friend, and how on Earth could this friend come without his significant one, right?
And still you were almost angry, clenching your jaw so hard it was probably able to break. Sirius Black and his girlfriend were no good news at all.
Thankfully they disappeared in a crowd immidiately and you heaved a relieved sigh. Maybe if they won't come up to you, it would be possible for you to keep living your normal life, standing in the kitchen and drinking white hot chocolate.
"Hey, Y/N, I'm terribly sorry for that."
You heard Lily's voice from your back and turned around to face her. She looked sad and you assumed it was because of you.
"No, Lily, no need to be so," you said, leaning on the bar counter. "I completely understand."
"No, we shouldn't have invited them," Lily insisted, frowning. "We could've celebrate with them separately. I forgot..."
"Stop apologising," you interrupted her, placing your hand on her shoulder. "You don't have to act impolitely towards your friends because of me."
"How are you so kind to?" Lily asked. "I would've gone mad if at your party you invited that Barry from the fifth year, you remember how badly..."
"I do, I do remember," you merely laughed. "But the difference is that he's not my friend, Lils, and I'd obviously never consider inviting him."
"Are you sure everything's alright?" the girl asked, glancing behind your back. You turned your head to see what she was looking at and saw Sirius and his blonde dancing. You pursed your lips but gave Lily a reassuring smile.
"Yeah, it's alright," you nodded. "I don't really care anymore, you know."
"So you won't have any problems with it?" doubtfully asked Lily, obviously believing not a single word of yours.
"I won't."
"I'll go then," she replied, "Call for me if, um, anything happens."
And so she went away, leaving you all alone with your rather unpleasant thoughts.
When you thought that your day had already been ruined enough, you noticed that Sirius and — "what's her name again? Oh god I always forget" — Laura were finished with a tango and headed straight to the place you were at. "Shit," you thought, looking away and trying to act like they weren't any near your interest.
The couple approached and you heard Laura laughing out loud. Siruis' right hand was on her waist and and in the left one he was holding a glass of that super strong drink everyone went crazy about tonight. He was grinning but as soon as he saw you this grin disappeared. He stopped, turned aroung slightly to see you better. You shivered under his attentive look.
"And who do we have here?" he said in a mocking voice, but his eyes still studied you from the bottom to the top. "Miss Gloomy is enjoying herself. Hi, Miss Gloomy."
Laura chuckled loudly, causing a look of disgust from you which you tried to hide but Sirius noticed it anyway. He raised his eyebrow and let a smirk hit his lips.
"Nice to see you, Miss Gloomy," he continued, not waiting for your answer.
"Can't say the same, but you're already here," you replied, "so hello."
"Isn't it just rude, Laura, that she's not happy to see her old friend at all?" Sirius pretended to direct this question to his girlfriend, but looked still at you.
"It is indeed," the girl said, giggling and covering her mouth with her hand, which almost caused you throwing up. How overly sweet was this Laura. "Hey, Y/N, he's just trying to talk."
Laura wasn't introduced to anything that happened between you and Sirius last year. She didn't know why you and him weren't able to interact like normal human beings, that's why you couldn't really blame her on her naive words.
"Well, I don't want to," you answered, deciding it would be better now to leave before you cry right in front of Sirius and his girlfriend and totally humilate yourself.
"That's a pity, because I actually wanted to have a quick word with you outside!" Sirius exclaimed, taking his hand off Laura's waist and quickly finishing a glass of his drink. "Laura, babe, won't you mind?"
She didn't. Sirius made an inviting gesture and headed to the front door of the house. Nothing was left for you to do but follow him.
You came out of the house and couldn't help but smile at the sight of huge snowflakes falling down from the dark grey sky. It was freezing cold and you shivered, regretting not taking your coat with you. It was only a jumper you were wearing, it was warm but not enough.
"So... what do you want to talk about?" You asked, energetically stroking your arms in order to get at least a bit warmer.
"Nothing special," said Sirius, turning to you. "Just wanted to have a chat without Laura. How you've been lately?"
"Oh, really? It's cold out here and you pulled me outside just to ask how I am?"
"Yeah, I guess so."
"Are you joking?"
"Not really."
And here he was, the exact same Sirius you knew since your first year at Hogwarts.
"You're not happy to see me, right?" he asked.
"Is it too easy to see?" you sarcastically answered — well, trying to be sarcastic — and rolled your eyes.
"It is, believe it or not," Sirius replied in the same tone.
"Not particularly you."
This wasn't supposed to be heard but seemed like Sirius did anyway. A very uncomfortable silence followed and you wanted nothing but to disappear right now. Sirius was staring at you with an expression unable to be read correctly.
"I tried, remember?" he finally uttered after what felt like an eternity. "Last Christmas I gave you my whole heart and more, didn't I?" He sounded so quiet that you needed to come even closer to hear him properly.
"You did," you whispered, tears starting to tickle your eyes.
"And you also remember what happened the very next day?" Sirius asked with a plain face and no warmth in his eyes whatsoever.
"I do," you admitted, recalling the memory of you rejecting him. You were scared of your feelings back then so it seemed like the only logical way to deal with them. Now you regretted it with all your heart. Just like every single day since that happened. "I... I gave it away."
"It could've been you now with me," Sirius answered, his look still cold. "Do you even realise what have you done to me that day?"
"I didn't mean to..."
"And I reckon you did." Sirius' voice was trembling now and you weren't able to hold tears anymore. "I was a man undercover till last Christmas. And you tore me apart. Completely."
"But you didn't let me explain!" you exclaimed desperately but your voice broke down. "I thought you weren't sincere," you finished in a whisper.
"I wrapped up a present and sent it to you."
You remembered. It was a note there saying...
"I love you." You were still whispering, tears now running down your cheeks.
"Yes. I wrote it. And I meant it, Y/N." Sirius' voice was sad now. "I was as sincere as I've never been with anyone before. Now though I know what a fool I've been."
"I was scared of my feelings, Sirius, we were friends and I didn't know if they were right," you answered, not knowing what words to choose.
Sirius looked away and you saw a steam coming from his mouth.
"My god!" he exclaimed. "I thought you were someone to rely on. How stupid I was!"
Nothing was worse than hearing those words. You were extremely cold by that time, tears on your cheeks were slowly turning into pieces of ice and Sirius' disappointment didn't help at all.
"I guess for you I was just a shoulder to cry on," he added, smiling unhappily. You shook your head attempting to deny his statement but he wasn't looking at you and it wouldn't work anyway.
Silence appeared again as you watched more and more snowflakes falling down to the ground and covering it completely. No wind was blowing but you were still shivering from the coldness. It was winter after all and going outside in just a jumper, although warm, wasn't the best idea.
"I'm going to propose to Laura," said Sirius, breaking the quietness. "Tomorrow."
It was the last twist of a knife in your heart. You just bursted into tears, covering your face with your hands which felt like pure steel. You didn't make any sound though — just a silent cry of despair. A year passed by and you never felt so out of hope than now. You also haven't seen Sirius at any point this year and here he was, tearing you apart by just a few words.
Apparently he heard you crying and came so close, it was forbidden for him to be so close to a broken heart of yours.
"I'll give my heart to someone special this year," he said, closing his eyes to stop seeing your tear-stained face. He never liked anyone crying because of him but he needed to tell you everything right now to put a logical finishing dot in a story of you both. "Just to save me from tears. And I don't want to see yours either."
You sobbed and tried to stop crying but a few tears were still left on your cheeks. Sirius raised his hand to your face and wiped them away.
"No need to, Y/N."
He leaned closer and looked at your lips, biting his lower one but then abruptly stepped back like some thought crossed his mind all of a sudden.
"No. I can't," he said, as if convincing himself. "If you kissed me now," he told you, "I know you'd fool me again. So long, Y/N."
You watched him walking away as fast as he could. His last "So long" could have been physically felt in the air.
This night Sirius and Laura left early. The next day, at around afternoon, an owl with a Christmas card from them reached Potters' place. "We're getting married!" you noticed from afar, no surprise, these words were bold and bright red. Lily gave you a worried look but you muttered "That's okay" and got back to your pudding.
"Hmm, not a word about you," said Lily, frowning and looking through the letter again. "They knew you stayed overnight."
You didn't answer. Sirius decided to throw you out of his life entirely and so did you. Maybe next year you'll give your heart to someone special too.
