Heartburn

Shownu/Hyunwoo: You watch as he devours the food in front of him, glaring, dejected, while you push around the rabbit food on your plate. Hyunwoo had offered you some of his food, but you had declined, knowing the heartburn wouldn't be worth it. 

With every bite of leafy greens, you re-evaluate your decision, until you finally break. Sullen, you confess, "I changed my mind. Please, I can have a bite?" 

He grins, reaching across the table to feed you, eager to give you anything you ask for, especially food. "You're eating for two," he reminds when you try to stop at just one bite, encouraging you to eat more.

Wonho/Hoseok: He rubs your chest with one hand while rubbing your rounding belly with the other, as you lean against his chest. Wonho hates that you can't enjoy food without having to worry about heartburn. "Tteok-bokki." 

"I don't think that will help," he chuckles. 

You sigh, "No. I'm making a list of the foods I want after the baby comes. Take notes." You joke, grinning despite the discomfort you're in. "I'm expecting you to provide them to me." 

He laughs, "okay, I'm listening. What else will I be buying for you." 

"Curry," you continue, "Oh! Spicy Ramyun!" 

He groans at the mention of Ramyun, "Babe, you're making me hungry."

Minhyuk: First, morning sickness now heartburn, "what's next," you question while chewing the antacid tablet Minhyuk had handed you, grimacing at the chalk texture. 

"Swollen feet?" 

You gasp to cover at a startled chuckle, "Is that supposed to make me feel better?" 

"Don't worry," he says, glint in his eyes. "I'll rub your feet. I'll even tie your shoes when you get to big to bend over." 

You scoff rolling your eyes, "Thanks for that." 

He leans over to kiss you - you let him. "I love you," he kisses you again, "and don't worry, I'll keep the medicine cabinet stocked with antacids."

Kihyun: "Baby," you shake him, "I can't sleep. He blinks at you, batting away sleep. "I have heartburn," you pout. You feel bad for waking him - but only a little. 

He mirrors your pout, sympathetic, "Tea?" You nod eagerly. He smiles, dragging himself out of bed and to the kitchen. You follow, pulling yourself up on to the counter. "Careful," he murmurs, most of his attention focused on filling the kettle. 

He stoops to talk to your belly while you happily drink the tea, knowing it will soon soothe the burning in your chest.

Hyungwon: An irritated huff leaves your mouth as you rub roughly at your sternum, a smoldering sensation spreading. You feel betrayed by your body, not liking how pregnancy is affecting you. 

Hyungwon is quick to offer to go buy you medicine, fleeing the scene before your irritation transitions to anger. "You'll feel better soon," he consoles when he returns.

Jooheon: "What's wrong," he questions, noticing your pained expression even through video-call. "It's nothing," you try to brush off his concern. He purses his lips, casting you a disappointed look, brows knitting together. "Don't lie to me. Are you not feeling well?" 

You shrug, "It's just heartburn." 

"Have you taken anything for it? What did you eat?" 

You laugh, pointing out, "It's not a big deal - it's nothing to get worked up about." 

He tries to smile back, but he does worry. He's so far away, and there's nothing he can do to help - it makes him feel inadequate. You know it too, you remind him, "I love you, and you're going to be an amazing dad." He does smile at that.

I.M/ Changkyun: He warns you, "That'll give you heartburn," but doesn't stop you from eating it. 

You shrug, stubbornly stating, "I don't care." You're determined to enjoy the food you are craving, joking, "The baby wants it." 

When the heartburn does inevitably hit lighting a fire in your chest, he doesn't say I told you so. Instead, he kneels in front of your round stomach, talking to the baby growing inside, "You're going to have to start asking for less acidic foods for your mom's sake."

The MONSTA X Time-Travel Theory (Originally the MONSTA X Universe Theory)

Hello everyone, and welcome to my new and improved MONSTA X Theory. You read the title right, this was originally called the MONSTA X Universe Theory, but unfortunately it can no longer have that name. I’ll explain why shortly. I posted this theory in February of last year, and since then, a lot of things have changed. My theory really only addressed until before Take 1, so it’s been 4 comebacks and one world tour since then, can you believe it? So yes, quite a few things have changed, and we’ll go over them.

What has changed?

Originally, the theory proposed that everything started in the Tresspass-The Clan timeline, that it was the original timeline and that everything went down from there. However, since Follow: Find You, this is no longer possible, as the Find You MV shows us the origin of Hyungwon’s abilties. Thus, the Tresspass-The Clan theory is now a stand alone. Technically I already wrote a theory on The Clan, although I didn’t address its connection to Tresspass, maybe I’ll do that in a separate “add-on” sort of post. Because of this, it can no longer be called a “Universe Theory”, as MONSTA X is not integrating all of their stories into one very convoluted timeline, but instead they have two separate stories (if later on they connect everything, I’m throwing the towel). That’s the main change, but this change provokes a bit of a butterfly effect, so let’s see how much the theory has changed.

The Story

Phase 1: The First Timeline - The Origin (We Are Here World Tour VCR, Take 1 & Take 2)

I know this is a weird place to start the theory, almost near the end, but it actually makes a lot of sense. These three videos serve a very similar purpose to what Beautiful did for The Clan, they explain the origin of their friendship. Now, things aren’t as dramatic as they’re shown in these three videos (at least I hope so, ‘cause things are gonna get very weird from a plot point of view if they are). The main point of narration is the We Are Here World Tour VCR, from now on abbreviated as WAR because it’s easy to remember like that, and because it fits the theme of the video (watch it here).

WAR introduces us to seven fine young men who have each committed a sin (two of which aren’t even actual sins, but I understand why they would change those two). Hyungwon and Pride, I.M and Envy, Kihyun and Loneliness, Jooheon and Greed, Wonho and Sloth, Shownu and Wrath, and Minhyuk and Agony. These sins are not actual crimes from a futuristic dystopia (although that would be a cool concept), these are just the personal struggles they are dealing with, the personal backgrounds that consume them.

Hyungwon is a rich kid that believes himself better than everyone. I.M is the local witch (?) who hates the rich kid. Kihyun is probably the only child that was forced by his parents to be perfect. Jooheon and Shownu are a very misguided pair of trouble-makers who’re friends with Wonho, who practices Taekwondo but can’t reach the standard he wants. Minhyuk lost someone important to him.

In the Special Film and the Previous Film called ‘ARE YOU THERE?’ they explain these personal struggles, how their situations make them fall into those sins, and how they’re looking for someone to save them. This salvation comes in the form of each other. In WAR they further explain their own sins and how being with each other saved them from drowning in them. Alligator represents the sins and them drowning in the swamp of their own despair. Shoot Out is them breaking away from their past and destroying these sins.

Phase 2: The First Timeline - The Trigger (Find You MV)

Originally I proposed that Hyungwon got his powers by entering that weird heart at the end of All In and Fighter. I’ve now been proved wrong. After they each overcome their past and become friends, Hyungwon’s family has an accident in which both of his parents die and he comes out badly wounded. After he recovers, he’s now living by himself and taking different medications to deal with the aftermath of the accident. The boys decide they cannot leave their friend like that and temporarily stay at his house.

While they’re sleeping, Hyungwon wakes up and visits his father’s study. He finds the damaged watch which sends him to an entirely different timeline. This is showcased by him suspended in the water, with images of Dramarama and Destroyer flashing by. There is a scientific theory that proposes that spacetime is actually a superfluid; I won’t go deep on this because I don’t fully understand it, but showing Hyungwon trapped in water is a good analogy to him being trapped in a different spacetime. This is also briefly shown in The Connect World Tour VCR, (from now on addressed as CWT), but we’ll talk about this one in more detail later.

Wonho wakes up first and notices Hyungwon isn’t there, so he wakes up the others and they try to retrace his steps. Unfortunately, Hyungwon is not part of that timeline anymore, he’s gone for good. This leads us into our second timeline.

Phase 3: The Second Timeline (The Code & The Connect World Tour VCR)

After Hyungwon jumps into spacetime, he becomes lost. Personally, I think there is a possibility that there were other timelines he visited first until he eventually learned to craft the watches himself, as we see in CWT (watch it here). Maybe he just watched this timeline fail a lot of times before he learned and decided to intervene. Either way, Hyungwon actively tries to reunite all of them by giving them the watches. He succeeds for a moment, but in this timeline there exists an agency that controls Time Travel, who frustrate his plans every single time.

It is important to know that in this timeline, the boys don’t all know each other and some of them don’t even exist in the same era. They don’t remember Hyungwon either. Personally I think not remembering Hyungwon might be because he removed his existence entirely by disappearing from his original timeline. There cannot be two of him, as that would cause problems, so instead he just completely seizes existing in all possible universes as he moves through them.

The rest of the boys still exist within the normal spacetime frame though, but they’re lost and ignorant to their true origin. They have forgotten each other and can’t remember yet. However, no matter how hard they try, this timeline is completely doomed because the agency is actively trying to frustrate Hyungwon’s efforts, even if they don’t have something against him specifically. So Hyungwon jumps into the water again, he must continue searching.

Phase 4: The Third Timeline (The Connect: Music Film D & The Connect World Tour VCR)

Destroyer is yet another timeline distinct to Dramarama. We know this because we see different pairings, completely different settings and completely different timelines. The Music Film D is divided in three stages: Part 1 The Code (a very obvious reference, this is already letting us know they’re connected), Part 2 Finding the road, and Part 3 Connected (clear reference to the current album).

D shows us the boys as geniuses, Minhyuk and Shownu are artists, Kihyun and Wonho are science (physics?) prodigies, and Jooheon and IM dominate technology. CWT gives us a bit more insight and shows us something very important: they have begun to remember each other and they have memories from their previous timeline. They want to find the person they were paired with in their first timeline, but more than that, they also have memories of Hyungwon’s intervention, even if they don’t remember him properly (because let’s remember Hyungwon removed himself entirely).

They know they have to find someone, and so they set out to do it. Through their own methods they all come to the revelation on how to find Hyungwon. Kihyun and Wonho do the math, Jooheon and Changkyun use technology, and I guess Minhyuk and Shownu have a vision which they paint? Not sure on that one to be honest, but they find the train station.

This could either be a real place in which every timeline and universe converge or just a metaphor for them figuring out how to do the same thing Hyungwon does, either explanation works.

Hyungwon is trapped in this train, which is another analogy, but this time for the (liminal) space between dimensions. He’s tired himself out trying to reunite the others, and this time they must come for him, and they do. They find each other, they remember, and they reunite once again. This time nothing can pull them apart.

Phase 5: Interlude (The Connect: Jealousy & The Connect World Tour VCR)

Jealousy doesn’t feed the plot itself but helps connect (pun not intended) and put everything else into place. Through different imagery, Jealousy illustrates how the different timelines push them together and then pull them apart, creating different pairings, but that despite this they still share things in common (the paper with numbers, the recorder, the glass of water). Another thing this video does is allude to Jooheon’s death in Dramarama through the use of os symbolism. In one scene, a paper with his symbol is being burned, while in yet another, the chair he’s seen sitting on throughout the video is being burned as well and then falls down to the abyss.

On the other hand, CWT creates a clear and obvious connection between Dramarama and D, revealing to us that they do have memories from other timelines. Another cool thing is that we get to see Hyungwon on the rooftop where they filmed Hero, released back in 2015. It also provides a clearer scene of Hyungwon crafting the watches himself and of him at the top of the Hero building. We can also see the last scene from Jealousy mirrored in the last few seconds of the VCR, which is something worth pointing out.

But, as the VCR says “when everything goes back to the beginning, someday, we will be connected again”. Where did things begin? That’s right, in Find You, so the next step is Follow.

Phase 6: The Third Timeline - Back to the Beginning (Follow)

If Monbebe has a war anthem, it is most definitely Follow, which is an amazing song. Unfortunately, Starship has decided to stop providing explicit story development on their MVs since Jealousy, so Follow doesn’t do much for the story itself. However, I have three important reasons to believe this is where the circle ends: all of the references to time, the quote from CWT,and the very last scene of the MV. Let’s go in order.

The most obvious reference is them standing on clocks painted on the floor, but that’s not the only one. We get to appreciate a few watches here and there, reminiscent of Hyungwon’s in D and Dramarama, and also see the movement of their shadows as a passage of time. The most important reference though, is the cover of the album. The title, “Follow” is solid and then becomes “liquid” as it moves down. This makes sense when you consider the other two points.

First of all, “when everything goes back to the beginning, someday, we will be connected again”. The beginning of the whole mess is Find You, part of the Follow album, there is no doubt about it, so why is Follow the end? Well, because of the last scene in the MV. I know it’s Shownu standing at the top of the stairs in front of the circle, and while it would be better if it was Hyungwon for the sake of this theory, we’ll just completely ignore that. That circle they’re walking towards is the train. ‘Follow’ in the cover becomes fluid because once they cross that circle or enter that train, they too remove themselves from existence like Hyungwon.

That’s not the only thing though. In D, Wonho solves the formula for time travel as X=4155102M, he does it again in Alligator and I believe it’s also briefly shown in WAR. Kihyun also travels back to 2015 in Dramarama to save Jooheon, and Hyungwon is standing on Hero’s rooftop, which was released back in 2015. Their debut date is their beginning, and they keep referencing it over and over because they’re trying to go back to the beginning in order to solve everything.

They went from Find You to Dramarama, to Destroyer and now they’re back at the beginning with Follow; they are connected again. They have different faces and personalities because they’re not the same people from the original timeline, but they managed to find each other and transcend spacetime to be together. So now, what happens next?

Phase 7: Moving Forward (FANTASIA X)

Here is where things get a little complicated, both in the story and in real life. With Wonho’s departure from the group (go support his solo debut), we now have an even number, which wouldn’t seem like a big deal if it wasn’t for the FANTASIA X Trailers. In each trailer we see that each one of the members now possesses a device which allows them to control time in one way or another.

Hyungwon and Shownu have keys, which when used to open anything will allow them to do spacetime travel (I would say only time but, well, I have no way to confirm this right now). Jooheon and I.M have this lighter-watches that when turned on, they allow them to stop time. Kihyun and Minhyuk have another very different set of keys that look like those in old toys or music boxes, which allow them to ‘rewind’ time when used.

Now, them getting powers is expected, since they also removed themselves from the “normal” existence and joined Hyungwon. I assume it is because of the even number that they gave Shownu the same powers as Hyungwon, but it makes it a little weird because Hyungwon has been special all this time. It also doesn’t make much sense that now Hyungwon is using a very different instrument. I want to believe that Wonho is supposed to be in Hyungwon’s place in the teaser, but it’s impossible to tell now.

Even ignoring all of that though, FANTASIA X overall just doesn’t make much sense with the theory. Sure, it’s still time related, which is like the biggest giveaway, but the boys still look lost and like they’re looking for something despite the fact that they already found each other. Maybe the Teasers could be their personal research into spacetime travel and their attempts to find Hyungwon, but I highly doubt so. I think it’ll make more sense after the next comeback or tour, since so far everything seems to come in threes (Dramarama, Destroyer and CWT, Shoot Out and Alligator and WAR, Follow:Find You, FANTASIA X and?).

Conclusions

Despite the fact that we can no longer call it a Universe Theory because it hasn’t been there since the start, I still think it is a story about them, about their struggles and how they’ve grown up. They’re each other’s friends and family, the value of X is their debut date because that is when they came into existence, they are each other’s dreams because they wanted to become artists and they did so by coming together into one group.

A lot of things have happened, but their friendship hasn’t changed. They got each other out of the swamp and helped each other overcome their difficulties in the hardest times. It is uncertain as to where the story will lead us next, in a way, I think this might be the start of a brand new story for MONSTA X. A direct consequence of the story they have carried out since The Code? Maybe, but probably very different and not exactly in the same storyline. It’s hard to know, but I’m excited about what they have in store for us nonetheless.

[Part 4] - [Part 6] 

It had been a couple of days since the accident and everything had gone pretty smoothly. Wonho had tried and made effort to become closer to you and it hadn’t been that hard for him, but Jooheon appeared to have a harder time with trying to get to know you. Partly eaten alive by guilt, partly still weary of your sudden presence in their family, but most of all scared. Scared to be rejected. 

Wonho appeared to love it when you cuddled up to his side while he was watching tv or playing video games. At first you had been a bit hesitant when he pulled your head towards his broad shoulder to lay on it, but after he had made multiple efforts to gain your trust and forgiveness, you didn’t mind being close with him anymore. He had cooked for you a couple of times, even though the first time he burned the food and Kihyun had to step in and make sure he didn’t burn the kitchen down. At first Kihyun wanted to ban Wonho out of the kitchen, but after asking him a lot of times, he agreed on helping Wonho make you a meal. You liked the effort he was putting into fixing your relationship, but you couldn’t help but wonder if it was going to stay like this or if he would turn his back on you again. 

Jooheon was very hesitant. He couldn’t get over himself for hurting you and you let him have all the time of the world for forgiving himself first. He hadn’t spoken to you since the attempt of apologizing that night and you were kind of frightened that he would be like he was before and give you the cold shoulder once again. You sometimes couldn't sleep wondering why he didn’t accept you and what you should do to get him to accept you. 

On one particular night when your nightmares were pretty bad and you didn’t want to wake Changkyun again, you got out of bed and waddled towards the living room, wrapped inside your blankets. When you arrived in the living room, you didn’t expect there to be another person awake at this late hour, but there was someone sitting on the couch, staring straight ahead. There was a slight shudder in their figure, like they were crying. When you approached them, it became clear to you that it was Jooheon. You didn’t want to disturb him and turned around when his voice reached your ears. 

‘Y/N?’

You looked back at him and saw that his figure was now turned to you instead of turned away from you. His eyes were red and puffy and his lips were red from crying. 

‘Hey Jooheon...’ 

You slowly made your way over to him and sat down on the other side of the couch. 

‘Why are you up at this hour?’ you asked him, wrapping your blanket tighter around you. 

‘I don’t know... I can’t sleep and my head just won't quiet down.’ 

‘Do you want to talk about it?’ 

Even though you didn’t expect him to want to talk to you about it, you still offered out of kindness. 

‘Do you hate me, Y/N?’ 

‘No! Of course not. Why would you even think that?’ 

You were shocked to say the least. You didn’t think you had ever done something to him that would make him think that you hated him. 

‘I haven’t been kind to you even once and still you don’t hate me?’ his voice was very cracky and thick from crying and you found the urge to touch him, to comfort him. 

You slowly crawled over the couch towards him, lifting your hand towards his face, slowly to wait for his reaction. As your hand touched his cheek, he closed his eyes. You softly cradled his soft face. 

‘I could never hate you Jooheon. You are one of the seven persons that provided me a home and I can only be thankfull towards you.’ 

‘I’m scared that you don’t like me once you get to know me... That you’ll like Changkyun and Hyungwon better than me.’ 

At his words you swallowed hard. You indeed liked Changkyun and Hyungwon better than Jooheon at this point, because you didn’t know him at all and only knew him to be cold and rude towards you. 

‘Why don’t you let me decide that for myself instead of filling that in already for me?’ you said in a soft voice, taking his face in-between both of your hands, making him look at you. 

‘Right now, I indeed do like them better than you,’ sadness and rejection washed over his face, ‘But, I don’t know you like I know them. I haven’t spend the same amount of time with you. If you would give me a chance to get to know you, you’ll see what happens.’ 

‘Okay...’ 

‘Good.’ 

You smiled softly at him, wrapping the blanket around him as well and cuddling his head in the crook of your neck. Wrapping your tail around his waist. 

A soft feeling overcame Jooheon, he had not expected you to give him such a chance so soon, but he was glad and relieved that you did. His hand softly started to stroke the end of your tail, making shivers run over your spine. 

Your cheeks blushed crimson red. Your ears and tail were very sensitive to the touch and it embarrassingly turned you on when they were stroked. 

‘Joo- ahem- Jooheon, could you stop that?’ you asked with a wobbly voice, tail shaking and form tense. 

Not knowing what effect it had on you, he looked at you questioningly. His close proximity didn’t help one bit and you couldn't help but lick and bite your dry lips as you looked at his full, soft looking ones. 

When Jooheon looked at you, there was a hint of innocence on his face. But it changed as soon as he started to stroke your tail again, more firm this time. 

‘Joo...’ your voice was caught in your throat. 

You quickly stood up and took a bit of distance from him. This was moving way too quick and when you said you would give him a chance, you as well needed to adjust to him. 

‘I think it’s time for me to go to bed.’ 

‘I’m sorr-’ 

‘Stop apologizing Jooheon, but please give me a bit time as well.’ 

Jooheon nodded and gave you your blanket and you quickly made your way back to your bed. 

That nights events didn’t help you to sleep at all and when the clock struck five, you still found yourself awake. 

So did Jooheon. He had never advanced a girl that fast, but the way your body reacted to his touch spurred him on. Tiredly he rubbed his eyes and turned for the -nth time, making himself comfortable on his back. Softly he started counting and after a while he finally fell asleep. 

The following morning you awoke to the smell of bacon and toast. Sleepily you rubbed your eyes, throwing the thick blanket off of yourself. You put your hair up in a bun and made your way to the kitchen, eyes half closed and cheeks a rosy pink. 

Without being fully alert you bumped into a solid chest, but instead of quickly stepping away you wrapped your arms around the warm body, snuggling against it and you started to purr softly. 

‘Well, good morning to you too Kitten,’ the low, raspy morning voice of Shownu filled your ears and a content smile spread over your face as he started to run his hands through your hair and softly over your ears. 

With a bit of a sour face Jooheon looked at the way you interacted with Shownu. He wished he was in his place right now, having you around him so comfortably. Quickly he shook the thoughts and feeling, he needed to put effort in your relationship and in time the two of you should be close as well. 

Shownu lifted your body off of the ground effortlessly and put you in a chair at the table. When the warm source disappeared, you mewled dissatisfied. But before you could throw more of a tantrum, the smell of the bacon got really strong, signaling you that someone had placed a plate of food in front of you. 

You opened your eyes now fully, greeted with a plate full of food and the faces of Shownu, Jooheon and Minhyuk. 

‘Good morning!’ The cheery voice of Minhyuk filled your ears, making you smile softly. 

‘Good morning.’ 

‘Jooheon and I made you some breakfast, enjoy!’ 

After taking a deep sniff of all the delicious foods in front of you, you dug in. 

‘Woah, this is really delicious! I didn’t know you could cook,’ your voice was laced with surprise and a small smile formed on Jooheon’s face. He liked it to surprise you. 

‘Here try some of the porridge I made,’ Jooheon got up from his chair and walked to the pot sitting on the kitchen counter. He filled a bowl with the porridge and put it in front of you. 

You already felt pretty stuffed, but the way Jooheon's face lit up with expectation, you couldn't not eat it. 

After you finished the bowl with porridge you felt like they could roll you out of your chair, back into your bed. 

‘I am so full...’ you mumbled and smiled satisfied. 

‘We’re glad you liked it, Y/N!’ Minhyuk said and started to clean the table. 

‘No, Minhyuk, let me clean the table and do the dishes. You and Jooheon cooked.’ 

Minhyuk looked at you for a second before giving you a toothy smile and retreating to the living room. 

‘Thank you!’

Memories were always made afterward and it felt as if time was frozen for you; nothing and no pressures of life suffocated you. All was well with them around. The evening began after dinner as they filled your moderately sized abode, beginning by watching a few movies of various genres; from comedies to horrors to romances. Tonight wasn’t the first night you had them sleepover at your place, you never complained and they never objected. Your home became a second dorm for them, even allowing some members to share a room with one other member than at their normal dorm where they would share with two others.

You bought your current home with the help of your father, the CEO of a rather successful company which boomed in recent years. It was a car service where people could use their smartphones to connect driver-partners and riders. Passengers who needed a ride could request for a ride if the driver is in their area. The company was named to be called Yuber. You were the only child in the family so you were very pampered, but you worked very hard in school and in your current career; C/C. Your father told you the house was essentially a gift, one you believed was too big since you lived alone. Your home was a four-bedroom house, each with a shower. It had a garage with a large space of land for your backyard. When you first moved in, it was quite scary for you since it was just you in such a large place, but you slowly adapted, especially after you let the guys stay.

You and Minhyuk shared your master bedroom whenever he stayed. The other bedrooms were slightly smaller but very comfortable for two people. You let them bring whatever they needed into your house. At first, they felt ill at ease at such a generous offer of you letting them basically move in with you, but you saw it as no problem at all. After a few weeks, they became comfier. Jooheon and Changkyun shared a room, where they even bought a tv. Hyunwoo and Kihyun shared a room and Wonho and Hyungwon shared a room. Later on, you figured you needed a few things to make the boys feel even comfier where they could work and relax if they wanted. You filled your once empty basement with gym equipment and a fridge always filled with refreshments. You had a sunroom but saw no use for it since you weren’t the biggest fan of heat, so you changed it into a soundproof place where they could either dance to practice or record. Unfortunately, as much as they wished they could live there more often, they couldn’t due to their company’s strictness, so they only came whenever they were absolutely free, which was tonight.

The members and you were gathered in your living room sprawled about on the couches. Minhyuk, Jooheon, and Changkyun battler each other in various games they had brought over while the others watched, cheering for whichever member they wanted to win. You, of course, sat there cheering for Minhyuk, but your energy was rather low since it was pretty late. They were playing an intense game of super smash bros and it felt like it would never end. Minhyuk sat in the corner of the couch where it would bend with the room. You laid your head next to him since Minhyuk was rather competitive when it came to gaming so he moved often. Hyungwon was already upstairs sleeping. As time went on through the night, the other members began heading upstairs to sleep. The three remained to play, some occasional shouts and whines of almost losing from the other.

“Min, can we go to bed?” You gently tapped his leg as you yawned, lifting your head as you laid on your stomach. You could just go upstairs and sleep alone but after getting used to sleeping with Minhyuk these past few weeks when he could, it became more challenging to sleep by yourself when he was gone. You needed him. You waited for his reply, only to get none. “Min?” You tapped him a bit harder this time.

“Just a few more minutes, I promise sweetie,” his attention was on the game. He was currently the most points for knocking Jooheon and Changkyun off and he was determined to keep it that way. You looked at the time, seeing they had set the game to an infinite amount of time. “Lay on my leg if you want.” He glanced at you, seeing how tired you were.

“But you move when you game,” your voice was quiet and dripped with sleepiness but he heard it clearly despite the other two younger members teaming up against him, but alas were no match. You rested your hand on his leg, feeling his physical energy coming off of him as he played.

“I promise I won’t.” Minhyuk was able to pause his playing for a brief moment since he had knocked Changkyun and Jooheon off the edge and was waiting for them to respawn into the game. He smiled, rubbing your cheek with his hand, then pat his thighs for you to lay on them.

You began to scooch yourself onto his thighs, laying against them, absorbing the warmth he radiated from his body. He leaned down and pecked your lips and brushed his fingers through your hair.

“If you fall asleep, I’ll wake you up when we finish, okay?” He brushed the hair from your face. You nodded in response before he glanced back up at the tv seeing they had respawned and were beginning to attack him.

You laid with your stomach down, both arms wrapped around his waist. You watched as their character battled each other out, seeing Minhyuk in the first place, Changkyun a close second, and Jooheon a close third. Jooheon sat on the other couch as Changkyun sat on the floor in front of the tv, making some exclamations as they were calling for each other to make the next strike against Minhyuk. You were quite surprised yourself; Minhyuk was keeping his promise, not moving as he game, not even yelling. He was relaxed but he was most likely dying to yell out on the inside.

A good amount of time had passed. Your eyes were staring into space, no longer in focus, just seeing blurs of bright colors from your tv. Your breathing had slowed down. The moments between each time you blinked increased, getting longer and longer. You could feel a slight soreness on your eyes when you closed them. You closed your eyes, allowing the soreness to go away, being lulled to sleep from the sound of your and Minhyuk’s breathing and the warmth he gave no other blanket could.

“Good game, guys,” Minhyuk placed the controller on the table, sliding it to Jooheon as they began to shut off the tv and the gaming console, packing it up for the night. He moved his body carefully, trying not to disturb your sleeping form. He looked down at you, adoring your resting features, the way your cheeks were squished against his leg just made his heart swell.

“Do you need our help to carry Y/N to you guys’ room?” Changkyun and Jooheon offered as they stood on the other side of the coffee table.

Minhyuk proceeded to gently lift you up so he could slide out. “No, I can handle them, thanks though. You two should go to sleep.” He waved them off as they began heading up the stairs to their shared room. Minhyuk gently turned your sleeping body so you laid on your back, pushing his arm below your knees and below your back, lifting you from the couch. Fortunately, you were just about the same weight as him, if not less. He made his way toward the stairwell.

You subconsciously in your sleep wrapped your arms around Minhyuk’s neck as he carried you, resting your head on his chest, hearing his steady heartbeat as he neared the bedroom. He used his foot, pushing the bedroom door open, walking through and laying you gently on your side of the bed. He quickly rushed back downstairs, switching off all the lights before he ran back up to you. He slid into bed, pulling you into his arms where you nuzzled your face into this neck, falling asleep peacefully.

Monsta X - They Reminisce on How They Met Their POC Significant Other

Shownu

It was the third day of practice. Monsta X was going on tour soon and Shownu wanted to cover a song and perform it in front of Monbebes. The first day of dance practice was learning the counts along with the first half of the dance. The second day was recalling the first half and learning the second half. The third day was running through the entire choreography as many times as the both of you could. Shownu was very grateful to you for having the time to help him create the choreograph and practice it with him. Shownu was in the midst of a break while you practiced the dance by yourself. He watched you from the corner of his eyes as he took a drink of water. He mentally kept track of the counts as he examined your body’s every move. He took in your cool tawny skin complexion and wondered how he got lucky enough to call someone as awe-inspiring as you, his. As he watched you, he began to relive the moment you met. Shownu was told that Monsta X will be learning a dance to a song that was on the top charts. He had expected their usual choreographer but he was surprised as he saw you walk in. After you showed them the dance, Shownu was excited to learn. He even was the only member to stay behind and continue to practice with you.

Wonho

You were sweating and were out of breath. One person was responsible for that. And that person was your boyfriend Wonho. Wonho had somehow convinced you to go to the gym and work out with him. And there you were, working out. Besides the workout itself, the good thing about it was that you could see your boyfriend in all his muscle glory. You kept to your workout with sweat drops falling down your face. Wonho was at a distance from you, but close enough to see your side profile. He gazed at your body, observing the look of concentration on your face. He loved to see your beautiful rich russet skin being highlighted by the lights. Having that glow brought back memories to when you first met; in the exact gym you two are at. Wonho had just arrived to the gym and saw you with another person. He noticed that as soon as you both arrived they ditched you to go and flirt with someone at the weightlifting area. He saw you start to wander around the gym, looking a bit lost. He gathered up the courage to approach you and asked if you wanted to join him in a work out. You accepted his request and later during the workout you told him that your best friend dragged you to the gym with them. You didn’t want to go but they promised you your favorite food afterwards.

Minhyuk

Minhyuk and you were currently at a gaming cafe. It was a date idea agreed between the both of you. Minhyuk chose two seats next to one another and decided on an online game. After twenty minutes of playing on the same team, you decided to compete on opposite teams. Minhyuk agreed to your idea, but put some stakes while he was at it. Loser would pay for dinner tonight. You accepted the challenge and sought out your new team members. Ten minutes into the game, you were full on into it. Pressing different keys on the keyboard, your finger quickly tapping on the mouse, your voice raising from high to low, even occasionally switching languages. Minhyuk kept glancing to his right to look at you. He recalled how you both met through an online game. He liked the way you played out your strategies and decided to contact you. At first you became friends, playing on different teams, on the same team, later it became a little something more. The more Minhyuk played with you and talked to you, the more he loved to hear your voice. He later on, fell for your personality. Even though you thought it would be difficult with the distance, you two made it work. However when you decided to video chat one another, he was stunned by your features. Your eyes, nose, lips, and most of all, your enchanting golden brown skin color.

Kihyun

It had been a long week for Kihyun. His groups was currently preparing themselves for a new comeback. So he had been going back and forth between the studio to record demos and new songs, the dance studio to practice new dances, to random places and studio rooms to take concept photos for the album and to the group dorm to sleep. To say that he was tired would be an understatement. Luckily for him, he finished his parts of the music video first, which meant he had the rest of the day to himself. He quickly made his way to your apartment, hoping that you would be home. Upon walking in, he heard music being played and a pleasant smell coming from the kitchen. He slowly crept up behind you, but stopped to look at what you were doing. He started to reminisce about the day you two met. Kihyun decided it would be a great idea to take a cooking class, so he could better his cooking skills. On the first day of class, he was paired up with you. Upon laying eyes on you, he was intrigued. He thought you were a one-of-a-kind gem, with your deep tawny skin tone and your stunning white smile. You explained to him that you had terrible cooking skill and were sorry if you were to burn the place down. He chuckled at you and said he’d guide you through it.

Hyungwon

There were many things that Hyungwon loved in this world. Coffee, music, family, Monbebe, food. However, there was something that he did love more than the first four, and besides you, and that was sleep. Everyone knew how much Hyungwon loved sleeping, it was one of the many things he was talented at. Currently that was what he was doing. Hyungwon opened his eyes after hearing his alarm go off. After turning it off he looked in your direction and gazed upon your sleeping figure in his arms. He stared at your facial features, the bridge of your nose, the length of your eyelashes, the size of your lips. Everything that he could look at, he did. He assumed that you felt him staring at you, when you stirred and opened your eyes and slowly focused on him. Hyungwon smiled as he recalled the time you met. Hyungwon was on an airplane, along with his members. He quickly found his seat, that so happened to be next to yours. You greet him with a shy smile as he gives you one back. With around ten minutes till arrival, Hyungwon gets his stuff ready. He looks in your direction and notices that you’re asleep with your headphones in. Before he generously wakes you up from your deep slumber, he takes in your features. He was enamored with all of them, he was especially fond of your warm ochre colored skin tone.  

Jooheon

There were many things running through Jooheon’s mind at the moment. Whether everyone was having fun, to wondering if he took off his jacket would he have an armpit sweat stain. On the outside he seemed relaxed and happy, but on the inside he was in total chaos. You had left to use the restroom, leaving him by himself in front of all the wedding guests. He had performed in front of many people but today was a different event; a different feeling. To ease himself of the slight anxiety, Jooheon took sips of his drink. His eyes roamed around the room. His eyes then met your form, walking towards him. He observed every inch of your body, marveling at how your clothing attire made you look like royalty. When you two made eye contact, you gave him a bright smile. Jooheon instinctively smiled back. Looking at your smile brought him back to the day he met you. Monsta X had a meet and greet. Jooheon was at the beginning of the table. He met and talked with some fans, but you had caught his eyes as soon as you made your way towards him. You gave him that exact smile and it sent a warm feeling in his heart. He was enticed by your dark umber skin tone. As soon as you spoke to him and told him he was your bias, he couldn’t keep you off his mind.   

I.M

It was past 2 a.m. and I.M and you were still awake and at his studio. The reason for that was because you were helping him with his mixtape. It was a long process, from writing the lyrics, to creating the music, to recording. But he knew that all the sleepless nights would pay off. He told you that you didn’t need to stay up with him so late, but you refused. He loved the way you were determined to help him with his project and he was thankful. You provided him with more than he needed. Late take out meals, revising his music, helping him with recording, rearranging lyrics, to even providing him with some background vocals. As he ate some of his ramen, he watched as you sat in front of his computer, staring at the screen. You nodded your head to the beat of the song. A smile showing on your face. He knew you liked it. Staring at you, he was taken back to the night you met. Jooheon was working on his mixtape and had called you in for help, knowing that you had experience with producing. I.M was in the studio with Jooheon the night you came. When you had walked in, he immediately took in your features and admired your deep sepia skin tone, but it wasn’t until you created a sample for Jooheon that he was enticed by you.

monsta x is a 7 member group who debuted with trespass on may 24th, 2015! they were formed through starship entertainment’s survival program no mercy (I didn’t watch it bc I wrote off survival shows after yg’s win but I hear it was intense and really harsh). their music style now is very versatile but they started off with a lean toward hip-hop.

their name monsta x comes from mon (“my” in french) and “my star” and combined means “monsters conquering the kpop scene.” the x in their name symbolizes an unknown existence. their fandom name is monbebe which literally is the french mon + bebe = “my baby.”

idk if this is going to help you learn them at all but I hope it does, either way it was fun to write c:

“It’s delicious right? Isn’t it good?” with such a cute ass smile on his face.

You two sit there and talk for a solid two hours, long long long after your drinks are gone.

Actually, you stay there until they close.

“Uh... we’re kind of closing now, so could you... maybe... leave?”

Girlfriend Ruins Food They Made and Feels Bad

Hyunwoo (Shownu) 

You were trying to surprise your boyfriend by making him a home cooked meal after his long month of being on tour. As you left the meat on the stove to marinate, you went to set up the dinner table with some candles and romantic music playing. Figuring the meat should have more time to cook, you went to go freshen up and put of the new black dress you bought for his arrival home. You wanted something sexy but not too sexy. As you were finishing touching up your makeup, you hear the clicking of keys in the door. You rush out of your bedroom and open the door to greet him with big hug, “Welcome home my love!” He chuckled dropping his bags so he could rap his arms around you, “Jagiya, I missed you.” He paused and sniffed the air, “Is something… burning?” Your eyes go wide remembering dinner. You both rush to the kitchen where smoke is just starting to fill the kitchen. You start fanning the alarms while Hyunwoo turns off the stove and puts the pan in the sink and turns on the cold water. As the panic dies down, you hug your boyfriend around the waist, “I’m sorry about dinner.” He chuckles and kisses the top of your head, “That’s okay, let's order in and watch some movies, yeah?”

Hoseok (Wonho)

You know your boyfriend Hoseok had a very long week with dance rehearsals, interviews and  getting ready for the upcoming tour. So, being the best girlfriend ever, you decided to cook his favorite meal and watch both of your favorite tv show. You decided to cook up a teriyaki chicken stir fry to surprise him when he came home. As it began to simmer, you went to change into some comfy clothes so you both could have a nice evening together. It wouldn’t be another hour until Hoseok was home, so you turned on the tv and watched a few episodes of a K-Drama you’ve been working on. You were so invested in your show that you didn’t hear the front door open. “Y/N? I’m home, what’s that smell?” Hoseok called out. “Oh shit!” You yelled out running to the kitchen, you completely forgot about dinner and there was smoke coming out of the lid of the pan. You quickly rushed over to the stove to turn it off. Hoseok stood in the door frame of the kitchen and just shook his head, giggling at you, “Was that dinner?” You looked at him sadly, “Yeah, I knew you’ve been working hard and I wanted to surprise you but…” He smiled and walked up to you to wrap his arms around you, “That’s okay jagiya, let's start over and do it together.”

Minhyuk

You and your boyfriend Minhyuk loved going out to eat together. Trying new restaurants was something you both loved to do for dates, but for this date you wanted to do something different. You both decided it would be fun to make homemade pizzas together. You both talked about your weeks while continuing to put all the toppings on your pizza. Once you were both satisfied with your beautiful pizza, you placed it in the oven and set the timer. You both decided to begin the movie you picked for date night and cuddled up on the couch. You don’t really remember dozing off but you both woke up the fire alarm going off. You and MInhyuk rushed to the kitchen, you went to turn off the alarm while Minhyuk grabbed the fire extinguisher under the sink to spray the oven. Once everything calm downed, you and Minhyuk looked at each other and just burst out laughing. “I’m sorry babe,” you said hugging him, “I shouldn’t have fallen asleep.”He looks at you lovingly and pushed a strand of hair behind your ear, “It’s not your fault. Maybe we should just order pizza instead.”

Kihyun 

Since your boyfriend Kihyun loved to cook, he was always making dinner for the two of you. Some days it was something casual like a nice bowl of ramen. Oth days it was something extravagant, almost like he was serving you a 4 course meal. But tonight you decide to cook for him. Nothing too fancy just simple sweet and sour chicken. You know Kihyun would be out all day with the boys at dance practice, so you had plenty of time to get the ingredients from the store and begin preparing dinner. You tied Kihyun’s ‘kiss the cook’ apron around your waist and turned on your favorite music as you begin preparing your meal. Once the chicken was simmering, you decide to go freshen up for Kihyun’s arrival home. While you were getting ready, you didn’t hear Kihyun come in through the front door, bouquet of flowers in hand, “Y/N?” You walked out towards where he was standing by the front door, a big smile on your face, “Welcome home. I have a surprise for you.” He walked over to you, setting the flowers down on the table, to wrap his arms around you, “Oh yeah? What is it?” He began giving you small kisses on your cheek, traveling down to your neck. Getting distracted, you completely forgot what you were gonna say, until he stopped kissing and started sniffing the air, “Jagiya, what’s that smell? Were you cooking?” You froze, you totally forgot about dinner! Rushing to the kitchen, you saw smoke coming off your chicken and your rice about to boil over. You turned off the stove and put the chicken in the sink in case it caught fire, “I’m so sorry love, I wanted to surprise you since you always cook for me.” He just chuckled and gave you a soft kiss on the lips, “That’s okay, I wouldn’t mind going straight to dessert.”

Hyungwon

You and your boyfriend Hyungwon were an odd couple when it came to cooking. Neither of you liked to do it so it was very rare when one of you cooked. Sometimes one of you would do it for anniversaries or if one of you wanted something special from the other. But today was just an average day, you were watching the food network and the chefs were making fried shrimp, which was Hyungwon’s favorite food. As you watched them prepare it, you realized how easy to was and decided to surprise your boyfriend. You quickly went to the store to get all your ingredients and hurried home so you could finish dinner before he arrived. You got to work, rewinding the cooking show so you could follow along. Once you placed them in the fryer you set a timer and waited. While you were waiting, you got a call from your best friend who you haven’t talked to in awhile. You talked on the phone for awhile, not realizing how long it had been since you put the shrimp in the fryer. You heard the keys jiggle in the door and got off the phone with your friend, rushing to the kitchen to pull the shrimp out of the fryer, only to see them shriveled up and burnt. “Oh no,” you whispered. “Y/N, I’m home. What smells so g-” He stopped mid sentence as he walked into the kitchen to see you and your super fried shrimp, “Oh no, what happened?” He tried to hide his laugh when he saw how sad you were about the shrimp. “I tried to surprise you but I forgot about them,” You said sadly putting your head on his chest. “Ah, I wasn’t in the mood for shrimp anyway,” He said kissing the top of your head. “Let’s go out tonight, you can wear that new dress you bought, and I can wear the shirt you like so much on me.”

Jooheon

Your boyfriend Jooheon had a long week with practicing new choreography and basically living at the recording studio, but today was his day off and you planned to spend the whole day together. It was still early and you wanted your boyfriend to get the sleep he needed, so quietly sneaking out of bed, you headed to the kitchen to surprise him with breakfast in bed. You decided to keep it simple with eggs, hashbrowns and pancakes. He loved pancakes but you’ve never made them before so hopefully YouTube can teach you. You started the coffee first and then got to work on the hashbrowns and eggs first, since you’ve made those before. Then you began watching a Youtube video on how to make the perfect pancakes. You were very focused on the video and measuring the ingredients for the batter that you didn’t notice a tired Jooheon come into the kitchen, “Good morning.” You almost spilled the batter on the floor when you jumped from his voice, “Babe, what are you doing up? Go back to bed.” He just shrugged, “It smelled good and you weren’t there for cuddles so I got up.” You rolled your eyes and put your hands on your hips, “I was going to surprise you with breakfast in bed.” “Aww jagiya,”He said placing his hand to his heart, “you didn’t have to do that.” He walked up to you and enveloped you in a giant hug. You hugged him back, completely forgetting about the pancake you had in the skillet. “Um Y/N?” He said pulling back slightly, “Your pancake is burning.” “Woops,” You said turning back to the stove to flip the pancake to its other side. One side was black while the other a nice golden brown, “This one is yours Joohoonie.”

Changkyun (I.M)

Your boyfriend Changkyun was visiting you on break from tour when he came down with a cold, and since you’re the best girlfriend ever you wanted to do everything you could to make him feel better. While he was resting on the couch, you decided to call your mom and ask her the best remedies to fight a cold and she suggested spicy ramen noodles. She sent you the recipe and luckily you had all the ingredients for the ramen and got to work while your boyfriend slept. You begin preparing the ramen, add the correct amounts of everything into the recipe. You realized the recipe only called for 2 teaspoons of chili bean paste, “Well that doesn’t sound right.” So instead you add 2 tablespoons of chili bean paste to give it an extra kick. Once the ramen is finished, you decide to also make some oolong tea with honey because tea is the best medicine. Putting the tea and ramen on a tray, you brought it over to your sleeping boyfriend on the couch. “Changkyun,” you whispered gently nudging him, “wake up, I made you some ramen and tea.” He slowly opened his eyes and smiled at you, “Thank you jagiya.” He sat up and reached for the chopsticks next to the large bowel and grabbed a thing of noodles and veggies. He blew on it before putting a large helping in his mouth. He began to chew smiling at you, but then his smile dropped. He quickly swallowed and began fanning his mouth, “Too spicy!” You smiled and nodded, “It’ll help you get better faster, clear up those sinuses.” He got up quickly and rushed to the kitchen for water, “I’m gonna die before I get better.”

Monsta X Reaction: Finding their S/O working on a surprise birthday party for them

Shownu/Hyunwoo: It’s not a surprise that he would probably know right away what you were doing. He noticed that you would get out of bed once you assumed he was sleeping. He didn’t say much about it though. He was tired, and he just figured that you were just catching up on some work to do. After a while though, after you constantly got out of bed, he started getting a bit worried. The next night, he would do his usual night routine and would “fall asleep”, waiting for you to get out of bed. A few moments after you left, he would quietly get up and follow you. He would see you an your laptop, typing furiously. He was curious, but he didn’t want to disrupt anything in case you were working on a project. He would wait until you left to the restroom before he just mindlessly hovered to your laptop. He saw the screen and his eyes lit up once he saw ‘Shownwu’s Party Plan’ in big letters. He felt a surge of happiness seeing all that you would do for his birthday. He would know that you wanted to keep it a surprise, so he would try to sneakily go back into the bedroom. Though, he wouldn’t do such a good job once you saw him open the door.

“Ah Jagi! I was just...getting some water. You’re doing work? Don’t stay up too late okay? I’m sure it’ll turn out good.”

Wonho/Hoseok: He’s been suspicious for awhile. He had noticed when you left at night. He didn’t want to question what you were doing or where you were going for all those nights. He trusted you completely, but he was curious as to what was going on. So, after a night of you disappearing from your shared room, he decided to silently follow after you. Wonho would see you in front of your computer, clicking and sighing. He would walk closer and see that a website for parties, specifically birthday parties. It wouldn’t really take long for him to realize that it was for him. He felt extremely happy that you would do so much for him, and that you still put up with his crazy antics of being an idol. Wonho would sneakily go back inside his room, careful not to make any noise that would indicate that he was outside.

“Why do you do so much for me. You’re making my heart hurt with how cute you’re being.”

Minhyuk: Minhyuk would probably find out within the first week of you planning a surprise. Even if you didn’t think he knew you would leave the room at night, he would feel your warmth leave and see that you were gone. Minhyuk would get worried if you weren’t back in bed after half an hour or so, since he loved cuddling with you. He would get out of bed and check out what you were doing, thinking you weren’t tired and just started watching movies. What he didn’t expect was you talking on the phone about some cake. He scooted closer towards you, listening more into your conversation. Once he heard that you were trying to surprise your boyfriend for his birthday, he immediately knew why you’ve been outside recently. He would creep back inside his room, even though at the moment he really just wanted to hug you and kiss you for being so kind and doing all this just for him when you didn’t have to. He would happily wait for your return, still pretending to be asleep, and once you made your way to the bed, he would cuddle next to you, a happy sigh escaping his lips.

“I can’t believe I have such an angel in my life. Doing all of this for me. This is why I love you so much and I will never take you for granted. I love you!”

Kihyun: Let’s get ready for a worried Kihyun. He wouldn’t immediately notice that you would continuously leave the room and you wouldn’t come back until 3 hours later, or you wouldn’t come back at all. After a few days, he would become increasingly worried. He would always see your tired face, and when he tried to question it, you would always wave it off. He knew something was going on and he just wanted to make sure you were alright. So, on one of the nights that you were out in the living room, Kihyun decided to come out and see what you were doing that was making you sleep deprived. You didn’t notice him approaching and was having a conversation with someone on the phone while furiously typing away. He looked closer and saw many tabs open for birthday ideas. He was quick to think it was for him and found a smile make its way to his lips. He backed away from you and pretended to come back out by shutting the door loudly. You would immediately freeze and turn to him, putting down your phone. He’d just smile, and keep everything a secret since you seemed to be doing so much for him, and he wouldn’t want to ruin your planning.

“Jagi, go back to bed. Stop watching videos and calling your friends, you can do that tomorrow. Sleep is more important than anything else.”

Hyungwon: Hyungwon probably wouldn’t even notice you leave the bedroom until maybe a week before his birthday. Seriously, this man would be so confused, but he wouldn’t really think much of you leaving the room. It would take him a few moments to recollect his thoughts before he got out of bed looking for you. He would see you on the computer just clicking on some tabs. Once he called out for you, he saw that you quickly closed everything as you stared at him wide-eyed. He’d be suspicious and ask what you were doing so late. Once you finally told him though, I think Hyungwon would feel a bit guilty for finding out about it and would try to make it up to you afterwards.

“Ah, well I didn’t see anything, so it’s still a surprise. I’ll go back to bed, continue doing ‘nothing’.“

Jooheon: I think Jooheon wouldn’t even know what was going on at all. It would most likely be your fault that he noticed you gone from the bedroom. You would always make sure to be quiet whenever you left. Though, one night you had accidentally bumped into something, making a loud thump. Jooheon would immediately wake up from the sound and try to grab onto you. Since he wouldn’t feel you there, he would wake up, his heart thumping in his chest just imagining all the bad things that could happen. He would quickly run out the door, trying to find you, surprising you as he clung to you as you sat in front of your laptop. Your eyes widened as you tried to close all the tabs that were open. Though, Jooheon had already seen everything, especially the document with huge words ‘Jooheon’s amazing birthday party ever!!! Shhhhh....’. His eyes would widen as he questioned you what exactly it was about, not really getting it. Once you told him though, he would feel bad. He didn’t know that you were doing this, and he just ruined your surprise for him. He would cuddle you and try to make things better though.

“I’m so sorry! But I didn’t see a lot of what you wrote down, so I’ll still be surprised! You’ll throw the best surprise party ever, you do so much for me already. You’re seriously the best.”

I.M/Changkyun: Changkyun would be the quickest to notice you leaving the room. On the first night he would be curious as to why you left so suddenly. Scenarios would come up in his mind: maybe you were mad at him, or you just couldn’t sleep. After a few minutes of him thinking, he would quietly walk out. He would quickly notice how invested you were into your laptop. Changkyun would walk closer and see tabs open for party supplies. He wouldn’t say anything though as he heard you mutter something about how you had to make his party be the best. Changkyun would blush, slowly going back into the room without you noticing. His heart was beating fast as he felt guilty. You didn’t need to do anything for him, and yet here you were, planning so much for him. He’d keep quiet about knowing anything since he saw you always brighten up whenever you mentioned his birthday. He couldn’t wait for his birthday to see your face and how proud you were to set everything up.

“Why are you doing this to me? You’re so cute and I like seeing you happy. You make my heart speed up. Thank you so much for this, doing a lot when you didn’t need to.”

You always act like Changkyun’s drunk appearances at your dorm room door bother you, but really you don’t mind. You’d rather he be sleeping in your bed than in a stranger’s.

Why did time have to pass so slowly? Straightening up, you sighed and rubbed your forehead. The muscles in your back ached in complaint, not wanting to leave their hunched position. Homework was consuming your evening; you had spent the majority leaning over your notes and laptop keyboard. All your concentration went to the task at hand, and you were deep in the throes of writing an English paper. Sure, the topic wasn't overly interesting (some bull about Shakespeare’s works compared to Voltaire’s), but a paper was a paper. At least it wasn’t a rush job; the due date was a little more than a week away, so you weren’t half-assing everything.

You told yourself that when the clock said quarter to midnight, you would wrap it up. Snuggling under warm blankets sounded amazing, as well as closing your tired eyes and catching a few winks of sleep.

But there was another motivation, besides bed: the treat that awaited you in your mini fridge. This was the thing that truly made it worthwhile. About an hour and a half before, you had pulled a can of peach slices from your drawer of food. Dumping the contents into a soup mug, you proceeded to stick that in the freezer. If you left it long enough, the juice would become slushy, and the fruit itself delightfully frosted over. Then it was a delicious treat, and the perfect end to a long day of hard work and toil in the name of higher education.

One more sentence, you told yourself. Just a few more words, and you’ll probably look up and it’ll be five minutes past.

You were right. After typing in a little more of what you had in mind for your research paper, you glanced up to find eleven forty five was come and gone. In a flash, you had packed everything up into your backpack. Then you hopped out of your chair and grabbed your pajamas from your bed. It took only seconds to change. Excitement filled you to have that cold mug in your hands, and be popping peachy goodness into your mouth. Shutting the light off in the bathroom, and then the main light, you went to your small fluorescent lamp. Soft, white luminescence permeated the room when you pressed the button on its top. Then, grabbing a fork from your silverware cup, you practically ran to the fridge and pulled open the door.

The mug was so cold, at a perfect temperature. Poking the top of the fruit, you found that it was right at that most delicious stage, too. If it wasn’t so late, you would have been singing and dancing. Peeling back the covers of your bed, you hopped underneath them and pulled a cute cat video up on your phone. You were now warm, cozy, eating a cold, sweet treat, and watching kittens. Again, truly the perfect end to the day–and also the week, you realized. It was Friday. Oh, how easy it was to forget in the swing of things. Classes overwhelmed your days, activities your evenings--the days often blurred together.

You had barely gotten through half the mug and three compilations of cats when you heard the outside door open. That was, the one to the common room, that divided your suite from the one across the way. Unsteady, stumbling footsteps approached your side. Then there was a knock, and you immediately knew who it was. They almost didn’t even have to call through to you. “(Y/N)? Ya in?”

“Coming, Changkyun.” With a sigh, you set aside your snack. Sliding off the bed, you made your way over to the door, flipping the light on before unlocking it. Your eyes had to adjust to the sudden brightness; so, for a moment, he was a hazy figure as you pulled it open. You, as well, were probably out of focus for him, considering his state. 

Usually, Im Changkyun was a clean-pressed, organized young man with a proud posture and great fashion sense. However tonight he was clearly messy and disheveled. The effects of copious amounts of Soju dulled his normally-sparkling eyes. It was so unlike him, that to anyone less of friends with him than you, the difference would be shocking. At least he still had a wide, white, blinding smile and his signature swagger.

Yeah, Really, this wasn’t much of a surprise. It was part of the normal routine. See, sometimes, after a night out at the bar, he would appear here, wanting to hang out. You’d let him in, and banter back and forth for a while before he’d inevitably fall asleep in your bed. Good thing you had a comfortable futon. Why he sought you out in particular was a mystery, but you trusted him. At least, enough to let him be alone with you, even in an inebriated state. Everyone knew you as the motherly friend, even from the beginning. For some reason, Changkyun was often the recipient of this strange affection. You worried about him when he wasn’t taking care of himself.

“Changkyunie, please don’t tell me that you walked here. Or, worse–drove.”

“Nah,” he answered sloppily and traipsed in. You stepped aside to let him past, and of course he headed straight for your bed. “Jooheon dropped m'off. Had t'go get t'others.”

“Okay. If you insist, I suppose I’ll believe that.” As much as you loved to tease and act annoyed at his sudden visits, you never were genuinely angry. Besides, you would much rather have him be here than somewhere unfamiliar. The absolute last thing you wanted to hear was a story out of his mouth about waking up scared and confused, in a strange bed or on a couch in an apartment he’d never seen.

He plopped down on the mattress, grinning as he bounced up and down a couple times. Then he toed his shoes off onto the floor and slid his legs under the covers. He always acted this way, like an unashamed little kid. It was aggravating sometimes but also endearing. You grabbed your mug of peaches (which was still fairly cold, thank goodness) and settled down on the other end of the bed, facing him.

“So, good night tonight?”

“Yeh,” Changkyun smiled and leaned back. In seconds, you were trying to pick words out of his drunken babble. He was so unashamed in telling you what had gone down earlier with him and his six good friends. A bottle of Soju had made the rounds, (“we all had, like, a loooot,”) they had nearly injured someone while trying to play darts, pool hadn’t been much better, and eventually they had just decided to stick to hanging out. Hyungwon met a lady, and they had gone home together. Quite unsurprisingly, Minhyuk and Hyunwoo had abruptly left side by side, too. (“Whennare those guys gonna date? C’mon, we ge'it, we know they sleep t’gether.”) Then Changkyun told you he had asked Jooheon to bring him here, to be with you. Still, nothing too surprising. That was also something in the normal routine. (“Jooheonie din’ have anything ta drink,” the boy in your bed reassured you, eyes wide. His hands waved sloppily in front of his chest. “Someone had ta take us’all home. It was his turn.”) Then his dimpled friend had gone back to pick up Kihyun and Hoseok. (“Jooheonie 'n Kihyun hyung looked like they were ‘bout to eat each other up,” Changkyun chuckled with perhaps too much glee.)

You couldn't help noticing that the whole time, he had his gaze fixed firmly on your hand, and bites of your succulent yellow fruit. Curiosity must have overwhelmed him because he stopped his story telling to ask. “So, whaddya eatin’?”

“Peach slices,” you answered, grinning back and spearing some on your fork. “Want one?” you held it out to him, cold fruit glistening enticingly on the prongs.

He didn't answer, but really he didn’t need to. All he had to do was lean forward and open his mouth. You stuck the bite in, and was almost instantly met by, “Hm, 's cold. Yum.” As he chewed thoughtfully and swallowed, he shot you one of his winks. Ah, Changkyun’s winks were disarming and oh-so-cute. Despite yourself, you chuckled and felt your cheeks heat up. There was a playful grin on his face, too, and that didn’t make things any better.

It must have been when you dropped your gaze; you could swear that someone else replaced him. Though his voice was still his low, rich own, all a sudden it was clear as a bell. “(Y/N)...d--do you know how beautiful you look right now?”

You dared to glance up and saw that his wet eyes were clear. You stopped, mind blanking for a moment. Obviously he wasn’t sober, he couldn’t be just like that, but...did he just confess to you? Eventually, you were able to croak some words in reply. “C--Changkyun, you know I have someone…”

To say that you hadn’t thought about yourself with him would be a lie. Changkyun was handsome, kind, considerate, romantic, and as far as you knew, single. His lips were probably sweet and soft (not that you thought about that more than once a blue moon). A girl could fall for him so easily, and without a doubt, you would have. That was, if you hadn’t already found the love of your life.

The two of you met in high school and were inseparable from the very beginning. It hurt at first that considering your different majors, you each selected different colleges, too. Being so far apart from each other had been a change, but nothing could kill your love for him. If you had concurrent free hours, he Skype called you, without fail. When you pulled up the screen to the sight of the man you wanted to spend your life with, your heart fluttered like it was the first time he kissed you. Before you had moved away to your respective schools, you had pledged to be faithful to one another. Even now, you wore his promise ring. When you twisted it on your finger, you could almost feel the warm touch of his lips on yours and his gentle hands as he cupped your cheeks. The trinket was a tangible reminder of his adoration, and that his heart was always with you.

Not to say there weren’t temptations, though, and Changkyunie was definitely one of them. Especially at times like this, when he looked so vulnerable, sitting just feet from you. He trembled a little, like he wanted to reach out, but he wasn’t going to let himself.

“I know.” He sighed at last. “Sometimes I like to imagine that you’re mine, though. I hope that’s ok. If it’s weird, I’ll stop. I understand how much you love your boyfriend...”

“No, it’s fine. Ah--honestly, I think about it, too.”

A sad smile spread across his face at your words, and he gave a little sigh, burying himself under your covers. It wasn’t long before he was asleep, snoring softly, peacefully.

As you watched him for a little longer, you knew that he’d probably not remember this in the morning. It meant so much to you, though. The love you felt in your heart for your handsome friend felt more stable, more justified. 

You were glad he came to you. You were glad you let him in.

🎧 Love Love Love - Of Monsters  and Men

The nights you end up in Changkyun’s bed, or he in yours, always lead to lonely mornings without him. At first you didn’t mind, but the second or third time had you feeling like you were being cheated out of something. It’s your fault because you’re the one who insisted on space after you’d hook up, but now… you wouldn’t mind waking up with his body alongside yours. That was a scary thought.

Typically, you hated counting on people, you hated needing things from people. Maybe that’s how you became this mess of a person to begin with. But with Changkyun it didn’t feel like a bad habit, and maybe that was why you were so intimidated by whatever this was. You were starting to trust a person, and not just to pay bills on time, but with your happiness.

Surprisingly enough, he still hadn’t told anyone about the two of you. Or if he had Jooheon and Minhyuk were really good actors. Come to think of it, they should have been suspecting something by now. He was almost too obvious about the way he’d kick them out earlier than usual after you’d get home. Or the way he’d get just too close to you in the kitchen… it made you fight to keep the smile off your face in public now, just thinking about him as you handed people their dinner.

Fuck.

You should be thinking about work, or your assignments, or what bill is next. Shit… you thought to yourself. What bill is next? You were drawing a blank on the date, but your internal clock was telling you it was about time for the electric. Panic ran through you because you had never missed a payment and when you pulled out your phone, sure as hell…you groaned to yourself before stashing your phone back in your pocket. Maybe you wouldn’t be shut off yet, or if so you could at least give Changkyun a heads up. You didn’t have time to make a call right now and by the time you get out it will be too late.

You looked around at the room of people eating their food. You should be kicking yourself really, or at least mad at yourself. But as you made your way to the kitchen window to grab the next plates of food you were’t. You smiled as you took the food to the table it belonged to and although you were tired, and stressed out you were being kept afloat by some strange feeling of joy. 

…

When you get home though, of course luck is not on your side. There’s no light, no sound, just darkness once you open the door to your apartment. You sigh, and throw your stuff down on the floor. No shower I guess. You’re about to head to the fridge and make sure nothing will go bad over night.

“Someone forgot utilities,” you hear from the direction of the couch, its sleepy and unbothered, but you know he’s probably upset that he’s not playing video games right now. You notice that the window is open too, and he’s half asleep sprawled out on the couch.

“I know I’m sorry, I’ll call tomorrow, I just for-“

“Relax, I already called. Thanks for listing me by the way otherwise I would have needed to pretend to be you, which would have been hard.”

“You called?” You ask stopping in your tracks.

“Yeah, it’ll be back on tomorrow morning, before you leave for work. I was insistent on that.” He says it like its no big deal, but this is Changkyun. You could only imagine him on the phone getting frustrated and bored after the second question. The fact he didn’t even text you about it for your help…

“Thank you,” you say. But you want to go over there and just…

“I figured we could sleep out here tonight, I can’t fall asleep without noise.”

“Yeah, that’s fine” you say remembering how he sleeps with his fan every night. You want to apologize again, and thank him again. It’s a bit embarrassing almost.

“I already took care of the fridge,” he says noticing how you’ve stopped moving. It’s a hint, to forget what you’re about to do, even though you’ve already forgotten what you were about to do.

“Come here,” he adds on after a few seconds of no response.

You make your way over to the couch just as he sits up. When he does, you can see him in the light that comes through the window above the couch. A small breeze rolls through along with the sounds of night traffic. It’s soft, and dreamlike.

When you sit down in front of him, still in your work uniform, still smelling like deep fryer. He reaches out his hand and finds yours still fumbling with the key in your palm that you forgot to drop.

“It’s okay,” he says with a soft laugh, “don’t get so quiet.”

“I just…” you start, and you don’t know how to finish, “I usually don’t forget things.”

“I know,” he says and brings his hand up to your cheek. “But it’s still okay. That’s why there’s two of us here.”

He says it like it’s that easy. Like he’s been reading your mind all day. Like the last sentence should be trust me. You swallow and nod your head, his hand pressed against your cheek, while his fingertips push back strands of hair. Why does it feel like you’ve been waiting for this all day?

You exhale, and lean forward as you do to rest your forehead on his shoulder.

“Stop being so nice to me,” you almost whisper. His hand come up to cradle the back of your head. It’s comforting, and reassuring, but you shouldn’t need it. It’s like all this affection makes you weak.

“Never,” he says with a chuckle. You can smell him, always so strong right in the bend of his neck. You can’t help but drag your lips to that spot every time.

“Is everything okay,” he asks just as you’re about to press your lips to his skin. You notice now he’s holding you sort of firmly. He backs his head away just enough so he can look at you now. You can tell by the way he’s isolated the question that he’s serious. Maybe concerned. Maybe he’s been wanting to ask for a while. It shouldn’t make you feel sick but it does. It makes you feel pathetic actually.

So instead of answering you just pull back, give a small bitter laugh and turn away from him.

“Come on,” he says sounding disappointed.

“Everything is fine, Changkyun. I just forgot to pay the bill, i’m sorry. You took care of it, thank you.” You’re about to get up and walk away when you feel his hand wrap around your wrist.

“Please don’t go, just talk to me.”

“I don’t think we want to talk about the same things right now”

“Then fine, we won’t talk,” he says and pulls you in. His lips find yours easily, and you’ve already forgotten why you were upset just a few seconds ago. His fingers are in your hair, and you can’t help but lean into him as your hands find leverage wherever they can.

Its fast enough to give you whiplash, and hard enough to knock the wind out of you.

“Better?” he asks as he slides open mouth kisses down your neck. You don’t even bother responding as your hand slides up the front of his shirt feeling the warmth trapped underneath it. he latches onto your neck and begins removing your own blouse. Only now to you realize you still have your keys sitting in your other hand and you let them fall to the floor carelessly. It doesn’t take long before your bare chests are pressed against each other’s and he’s working you out of your pants as well.

Through the heavy breathing and the rush of adrenaline you almost miss his words.

“When can I touch you?”

He’s already out of his sweatpants now as he slides his body back over yours. The couch feels a lot more spacious than usual. His hand is holding onto your hip as he carefully strokes the skin around the hem of your underwear. The thought sends shivers through you as you lay almost naked under his gaze. You just nod silently.

You feel his fingers curl around the band at your hips and he slowly pulls them down to the bottom of your thighs. He brings his lips down to your chest and begins kissing you while his fingers find their spot between your legs. You’ve never given him this control before.

His mouth travels along your chest, and throat, all the while his hand exploring as he pulls sounds out of you that you can’t seem to silence. His body weight gradually seems to increase as he becomes less concerned with holding himself up and more focused on feeling you. His fingers, are soft where they need to be, but as soon as they push inside of you they seem hard and determined. His breath is heavy against your skin as his mouth sucks at your neck again. His lips are right below you ear, allowing you to hear every ragged exhale as his fingers work inside of you. You can feel him, hard against you as he presses closer until his weight is lifted as he kneels in front of you. he quickly removes your underwear the rest of the way and then spreads your legs farther apart. All to quickly he’s leaning forward to leave a trail of kisses from your naval down to your hips and you know what’s coming next.

He looks up at you just briefly and you have to remind yourself you gave him permission. You can trust him. After a second without protest he leans forward again to kiss at the inside of your thighs. You can’t help but close your eyes when you feel his tongue run flat against you. The warmth of his mouth meeting your own. Nothing should feel this good you decide, but not long after his mouth moves faster, and hungrily as you moan without shame. You know he likes it maybe almost as much as you do, because his on hand starts to tighten around your thigh and doesn’t break focus even when your fingers lace through his hair almost painfully. You’re close, and the way your hips start to move on their own is a good enough indication. His free hand had been out of sight, and it wasn’t until you focused on his movements that you noticed the ferocious way his arm was shaking. His eyes were closed as he tongued your opening still holding onto your thigh, but knowing he was jerking himself off while he did so sent the last rush of heat through you as you came.

The sounds you made were loud and didn’t quiet until you muscles began relaxing. He stopped when your body finally rested, and his head dropped to your thigh. Your fingers loosened in his hair as you combed the through it softly. His body stiffened and he left out a soft gasp as he finished himself. He panted as he tried to catch his breath but didn’t lift his head from where it rested. The only thing to hear was the sounds of your breaths returning to normal. When he pulled himself together he kissed the inside of your thigh one more time before picking himself up.

You expected him to go and get something to clean up with but instead he sat himself on the edge of the sofa next to you.

“If you say you’re okay, i’ll drop it. I was just concerned.” He says this as if he’s picking up right where he left off, so you roll your eyes to yourself.

“Please, stop. I’m too tired to walk away.”

“Then don’t walk away,” he says sliding an arm around you.

“I’m not saying you can’t handle it. I’m saying, you handle a lot. More than most people. I’m asking if you want to talk about it, or if you want a break, or help. None of those things are bad for you. I just think you’re used to not having those options.”

His voice was stern, as if he’s been holding it in for awhile. Like his controlled frustration is finally surfacing. It takes you a second to realize it’s not directed at you, because he would never talk to you like that. The look on his face is more… torn than that.

“I feel like I’m just watching you drain yourself,” he admits. “Maybe it’s not a big deal to you, but I feel awful. I want to help you. This isn’t enough,” he says with a small squeeze.

“Give me something,” he says with another soft laugh. “Let me pay more bills. Quit one of your jobs and relax a little.”

You could feel the tightness in your throat. It was the feeling right before streams of tears came. You had never had someone like this in your life. This was all new. You didn’t want to cry, you didn’t want to say no… you swallowed down that lump, but didn’t trust yourself to speak.

“Just think about it,” he says softly. He releases you and then pulls himself up as he makes his way to the dark kitchen to find paper towels.

Trust him, you tell yourself. Because for some reason, he’s decided to care about you. And honestly, you’re not sure which ones a harder job.

“Changkyun,” you say when he makes his way back to you. He just hmm’s in question. 

“Can you stay this time?” At first he doesn’t say anything, which makes you wonder if he knows what you’re referring to.

You see his silhouette as he sinks down to your level. 

“Don’t make me ask again,” you plead.

His lips press against your forehead, and you can feel the shape of a smile forming. He drops himself down into the space next to you.

“I’ll stay,” he says wrapping his arms around you. “But you have to do the same.”

Shownu; Having to hurriedly go home after the tour, Shownu was already itching to meet his son but before anything else, Shownu bought a lot of souvenirs for you and your child, a lot of baby clothes and mother-care products for you to use. He would come home unexpectedly, catching you and his mom off-guard. He would pull you into a tight hug and whisper a lot of praises on how well you’ve done. And that’s when fatherhood, for Shownu, starts. Ever since he arrived home, he’d call a two weeks leave to help you out but throughout those weeks, everything went slow for Shownu. The very first time he was able to carry [y/s/n] in his arms when you badly needed to take a dump and you had to place the baby in his arms to make things easier and once you’ve finished your business, the sight of Shownu totally stiffened on the couch would have you cracking up. Beads of sweat can be seen on his forehead but nonetheless, the way he would gaze at your son was something you wouldn’t want to trade for anything. Love and affection can be seen in his eyes and you had to have Shownu carry your son to have him get used to it. Anyways, there would be a lot of sleepless nights for you but once Shownu notices how tired you’ve become, he would just let you go back to sleep once your son cries in the middle of the night and he’d take care of [y/s/n] even if it may take him two hours of cradling his son in his arms while swaying him to just lull him to sleep. 

Wonho; The moment he finds you peacefully sleeping on the bed with your daughter securely tucked in beside you would have him melting from the cuteness and all. But the moment you wake up, he would shower you with kisses and would immediately change clothes and sanitize himself before he tells you to take a rest while he watches over [y/d/n]. But when you told him that he needs to learn first how to carry [y/d/n], he would nervously let out a laugh and nod his head. By the minute your daughter wakes up, you’d immediately coo at your baby, gently caressing her chubby cheeks. However, Wonho would be slipping his finger in your daughter’s tiny hands and would plant a kiss on it, smiling so widely when he feels [y/d/n] tighten her grip around his finger. Once he finally learns how to carry his daughter in his arms, he would be such a wonderful husband. Just watching over the baby for you would be something Wonho would always offer, he’d carry her in her arms and would even volunteer on feeding her her milk and even change her diapers, which you’d greatly appreciate it. He may be clumsy at first but then he’d really get a hang of it, and you wouldn’t miss this chance to document it since you want Wonho to remember these days and maybe watch it in the future. However, during the first few days or even weeks of him being with his daughter, Wonho would just suddenly tear up and think of how blessed he is to have you and such a tiny being in his arms, made by you and him in this world. 

Minhyuk; Minhyuk would be thrilled when he sees you at the airport waiting for him. He would engulf you into a tight hug and would plant a very long and passionate kiss on your lips. He would be praising you for being strong and wonderful. A big smile would be seen on his face when you told him that the whole family’s waiting for him at home, especially the new member in the family. The moment the two of you stepped foot in the house, the first thing that Minhyuk would look for was his daughter, but before anything else, he’d hug his mother and father first. But then by the moment you came out with your daughter in your hands, he would be utterly speechless as a rush of emotions immediately hit him. He would be extremely cautious and careful around the baby to be honest. Minhyuk would actually be told by his mother to change first into clean clothing and wash up before he can carry his daughter, which he’d do it in a flash. By then, when your daughter’s in his arms, he wouldn’t be able to rip his eyes off of his daughter, fingers caressing her cheeks and arms gently but securely holding her would be a sight to see. When everyone’s busy with the whole Minhyuk’s arrival feast, Minhyuk would be seen sitting on the couch, silently cooing and even talking to [y/d/n]. He would also nuzzle his nose on her nose or even plant the most sweetest kiss on her forehead. When his mother would try to carry the baby for him, he would just gently decline and tell his mother that he’d carry [y/d/n] and have everyone rest up but when [y/d/n] needs to change her diapers, Minhyuk would even volunteer to clean her up and put on new diapers with your guidance.

Kihyun; Kihyun would inform you that he’d be coming home that day and that he’d just bring home some food for you to not work yourself too much. He would be bringing a lot of things for you and the baby and none of it would matter anymore as soon as he is greeted by you and his son in your arms. He’d pull you into a hug and would give you a kiss but before he could give your son a kiss, he’d wash up first and make sure he’s finally clean from all dirt and all. Once everyone’s settled, he’d just let you eat up first while he cleans everything up for you and even if it may take him a couple of hours, he would do anything for you to have your rest. But then, once the night finally kicks in, he’d ask you to teach him how to carry his son and once he finally learns how to, he’d be really careful and really cautious. His gaze would be soft and loving that he would watch the baby for you for how long God knows and he wouldn’t complain. If the baby cries, he’d try to not get flustered or anything and would just get the baby to stop crying and would feed him milk since he kind got a hint that he was hungry. And you’d be surprised to see Kihyun laying the baby on his crib without any problem. Throughout the whole night, he’d try his best to catch up with you and would even ask how your day was and would even try to ask how the delivery was. When [y/s/n] would wake up in the middle of the night, Kihyun would tell you to go back to sleep and he’ll take care of [y/s/n] despite him having to travel back from his tour for how many hours. But then the next day when he kind of slept in, he would take care with the cleaning and would somehow watch over his son while you take a bath or something.

Hyungwon; He would be nervous but at the same time excited to finally meet a mini version of him. Hyungwon would tiptoe his way in your shared apartment or house and would be surprised to see you nursing his son and he would burst out into a big smile. He wouldn’t waste anytime and would immediately plop himself beside you and give you a quick kiss before he watches his son out in amazement. But when you asked him if he wanted to try and hold the baby, he would be hesitating. He would be scared but at the same time, he’s willing to try it. However, it would probably take him an hour or less to finally make up his mind and once he blurts out that he wants to, you’d carefully place the baby in his arms and he would immediately melt. Everything would suddenly change and he would feel his heart warm up with so much love and happiness. But once your son starts to cry, you’d be surprised how calm Hyungwon is and how he would immediately hand it, he’d coo and gently give your son a soft pat on the butt to calm him down, which you never mentioned to him. When Hyungwon finally gets a hang of things with the baby, you’d be surprised to see him asleep on the bed with your baby resting on his chest, peacefully and comfortably sleeping. And of course, you would not waste the chance to capture a pic of this scene. But let me tell you, Hyungwon would be the exact same opposite of how you’d see him. He would be able to change the diapers without being clumsy and all and he seriously knows how to burp the baby (let’s just say he’s been watching videos..).

Jooheon; This honey will be filled with so much feelings when he finally gets to meet his daughter after missing the whole giving birth and all. You’d be surprised when you see him coming home with a lot of stuffed toys but only to be surprised how your daughter instinctively smiled when Jooheon made her take a hold of the stuffed bunny’s hand. Jooheon would be really nervous and giddy throughout the whole day and when you finally asked him if he wanted to try and carry your baby, he’d be nervous. Like nervous that he’d be stuttering so much and would not be able to blurt out what he wants to say when you placed the baby on his arms. But once his daughter is in his arms, he wouldn’t help but melt from the cuteness of your daughter. Soft squeals and giggles would be heard here and there when Jooheon sees her dimples. But all of those would die down when the smell of poop dances through his nose, making him look up to you with the color of his face drained. And when you told him that he’d be the one who’s going to change the diapers, he would stare at you in shock and when he finally sees the fresh poop, he’d be quivering and would whine, telling you that you should be the one to clean it up but then Jooheon would just give up and clean his daughter up, trying his best not to gag or continue whining since you told him that he’d be cleaning that up starting this day on until she grows up.

I.M; Changkyun would be utterly clueless on what he’s going to do when he stood in front of his daughter but he would gaze at her with so much love and affection, since she has your eyes. Changkyun came home at the sight of your daughter crying and his mother cooking up some lunch for everyone to feast on and ever since then, he couldn’t help but think of ways to help out. He’d fix his things and would even do some cleaning up but once you asked him to carry the baby, since his mother left, while you go and pee. He’d actually freeze in his place with [y/d/n] in his arms and would just stare at her. But once [y/d/n] starts to fuss, he would coo and try to calm her down, ending with him dancing his way through the corner of the living room with a nervous smile plastered on his face. When you come back, you’d be surprised to see Changkyun doing well but then once you meet his gaze, you’d immediately know that he’s having a mental breakdown that moment, only to have you chuckling and carrying the baby. Changkyun may still be an amateur but he really would do his best in order to help you out, may it be feeding the baby with her milk or lulling her back to sleep in the middle of the night. But then, there would be times that Changkyun would make a deal with you through a game of rock-paper-scissors, the loser gets to change the diaper of [y/d/n] for the rest of the day while the winner just watch the loser suffer, which ends up with him losing and you laughing.

It's currently 4:30am and I literally just got home and comfy in my bed but I need to get this out of my system like now..... Seeing Monsta X live at this concert honestly made me just fall in love with these 7 boys so much more. They really work so hard for everything they do. They are not fake at all, they don't try and put up a fake persona in front of everyone. What we see is their genuine personalities and who these boys truly are. What they truly are, are hardworking, emotional, lovable, men who are continuing to grow and allowing us to come along for this journey as they grow. They are so precious in every way possible. Every performance they did was amazing full of energy and spot on. Their choreography is to die for and their singing is.... literally no words could actually describing their singing it's that good live. The boys responses to Monbebe were especially priceless, honestly some of the facial expressions they make are one in a million. Especially when everyone is screaming at the top of their lungs to make it clear how good the show was. It was clear how much Hyungwon was missed throughout the concert. With Ex Girl they had the mic stand out for him in his spot and the for Broken Heart there was an open spot between Minhyuk and Changkyun. When it was Hyungwons part the little light that was following whoever was singing, lit up Hyungwons spot as though he was there and Minhyuk was pointing towards it. Then when Wonho was talking about From Zero he said he wasn't sure he had basically given it enough without Hyungwon there but we all screamed and made him feel loved, that he did his best. Near the end when it was time for the picture the boys said that they would be making the space for Hyungwon in the pic but Monbebe would be filling that spot for him. And at the end, when the boys all did their parting words, Shownu said that Hyungwon wished he could have been there but he promises to come back with a bigger and better stage. Honestly they are all so precious. When it came time to the Hi-touch omg... I have a newfound extreme hatred towards white washing of idols from now on. First of all, those boys have flawless skin. Second of all, their natural skin is goddamn beautiful as fuck! So STOP MAKING THEM PALE FOR FUCKS SAKE. They were all so sweet and precious throughout the entire hi-touch. I would go into detail about each one of them but honestly my heart could barely take it soooo I'm gonna go with the shortened version lol. Jooheons smile and laugh is freaking adorable as all hell. Minhyuk is literally a ray of sunshine. Shownu EYE SMILE NUFF SAID. Changkyun adorable maknae that you are with a little bow. Wonho (so much internal screaming cuz that boy) hand grasp I can't I couldn't I almost cried. Kihyun, nearly wrecking my love for Wonho with his smile and leaning over the table and just... Damnit lol. As much as the concert was amazing and everything and I loved every second of it. I still wish and hope that these boys get some time off soon to relax. They have worked so hard since the beginning of this year and they honestly deserve a nice rest. My only wish for them throughout the rest of this year is that they get a minimum of a week to rest and relax without any schedules and for good health throughout the rest of the year. I still have to go through the videos I took so I may post those or some screenshots at some point throughout the day cuz I'm not even sure when I will ever wake up lol. But there will be some posts eventually, I just needed to get this off my chest to hopefully get some sleep tonight since my brain is still totally fangirling right now.

of course!! ahaha im pretty new to the monsta x fandom so im not the most reliable nor do i know the most about them, but from what i’ve seen so far they’re a semi-popular ship that everyone seems to lowkey ship because of how loving and caring they are for one another!! (putting it under the cut so i don’t bother anyone tracking the tag~)

honeypup, also more popularly known as joohyuk (jooheon/minhyuk) and sometimes minheon, (i think) became much more popular after the video below because of how lovingly minhyuk wakes jooheon (also known as honey) up and offers to buy him coffee in order to help him wake up. now, this isn’t to say they weren’t popular before, but i think many more people jumped ship after seeing how domestic they are here. despite this, i personally haven’t seen many blogs dedicated to them or have them as their main ship, but i think with monsta x in general, everyone is very easily shippable with everyone else. 

they are definitely not a subtle ship!! they love pda and giving each other a lot of love and attention even if you view them platonically!! minhyuk, being probably the most physically affectionate member of monsta x, usually initiates these interactions…

…but jooheon also shows his side of the pda off too by hugging or holding him first!!

they never hold back with one another. they have little to no boundaries when it comes to personal space (like i’m pretty sure minhyuk will just drape himself over jooheon when he’s sleeping, too, and sit on top of him whenever he wants)

and are ABSOLUTE goofballs together

however, they do also have their fair share of moments where they’re caught off guard or just simply flashing fond looks at one another

they’ve also taken a whole bunch of selfies together being all cuddly and cute
