#the urge to just post all the screenies

Y’all. I was working on my queue, minding my own business, and then BAM— the urge to post out-of-context screenies of my faves hit me like a truck. I’m talking Beau Broke and Lucy Burb 👀 (y’all know how much I love them, so you know how hard this is) and Nina and Malcolm, the crowd favorites.
It’s so strong, y’all. I’m hovering over the ‘post’ button like it owes me money. Someone stop me. Or, you know, don’t. Just casually ask to see them because I will cave. I’m one nudge away. 😂😂

Hi! You make very detailed write ups it must take a huge amount of time, how do you manage? And for curiosity's sake how old are you! Thanks so much!
Hello, Precious!
It does, but it’s fun!
When someone from my harem responds to a corner-buddy, like here and here, those are some of the quickest to do. These can take just a few minutes. Just as long as it takes for me to find the right screenie.
Sometimes I’ll be reading something, or listening to something, and get an idea, so those are quick, as well. I usually know just what to use and where to find it, because I’ve seen it recently, which is why I was reminded of it when doing something else.
Posts on character insight, historical setting and society take quite a bit of time to do, and that’s because I use actual reference books in my collection, which talk about how real people lived during that time.
For character insight, I go back and re-read as much as possible, wherever that character shows up, including their own route, side stories, and other character’s routes. These post can take several hours or several days.
That’s the time spent reading, and then collecting all of the screenies needed. I then need to sift through the ones collected and decide how to stitch them in a grid, my style of choice.
Stitching takes a lot of time, because I need to take all of that information and put them into however many images of four panels each, so that it’s all coherent.
By the way: the grid is read in the style found in American comics:
As for my tags, following the format above, first is the name of the game that the first character on the left comes from, and then that character’s name. Next is any other characters in the whole post who are from that same game, from left to right.
I repeat until all characters are mentioned.
The tags for this would be:
#midnight cinderella #byron wagner #samurail love ballad party #kirigakure saizo #ikemen sengoku #date masamune #destined to love #hijikata toshizo
Headcanon posts are always fun, but I do try to consider how the characters are in their stories as well. This makes it take longer, though.
Writing takes me forever, because I’m apparently one of those types who can’t write if they’re not in a writing mood. TH?
I’m also the type of derp who gets the random urge to write when I’m nowhere near anything to write with– like in the shower, on a train, literally in the middle of the ocean, or at three a.m. when I can’t remember my own name.
*Sitch posts take longer than anything else, because I have to combine headcanons with canon traits for 47 different characters across four games.
As for how old I am:

╰(*´︶`*)╯
sorry for not posting much lately!! it was my birthday yesterday (march 28th aka aries season aka the best time of the year) so i’ve been busy~ i turned 21 this year! i forgot to make a post about it whoops haha
i also have 3 essays to write by april and i haven’t started any of them... so... yeah. #RIP me pretty much. instead of working on my essays like a responsible student... i have instead gotten the urge to try out the sims 2!! LMAO
fun fact: i’ve never played ts2 before. i’ve always wanted to, but setting up a cc folder always looked so complicated. it’s not as scary anymore tho, and i’m almost done downloading the stuff i need. i may or may not post one or two screenies... i mostly wanted ts2 just because i’m fed up with the lack of gameplay (as well as ea splitting up so many features just to make extra cash) in ts4, and i prefer the way sims look in ts2 over ts3. so.
ANYWAY. my point is that i may not be all that active on this blog, but i’ll still be lurking! you can also find me at my main @daynabutt.
