can't leave this in the tags
I think it'd be very funny if there was a Zelda game where Ganon isn't the big bad, but when you get to the Gerudo area there's a male Gerudo named Ganondorf there. He has zero relevance to the plot. Not any kind of twist where he becomes the villain in the end, or any kind of side quest. He's just there and that knowledge perpetually looms over your head menacingly.

the Triforce Trio in their respective elemental outfits!! This can also count as a half-assed study for the charged, frostbite, and ember armors, cause all of the photos online I find of them are SO bad.

Aaaaaa don’t think about the Triforce trio realizing they all actually want the same thing (to break the curse Demise set on them and end the cycle they’ve been trapped in for thousands of years now) and forming a very tentative, reluctant truce. They’re all uncertain about this alliance and keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, for Ganondorf to betray them, for Link and Zelda to decide it isn’t worth the risk of trusting him…they keep expecting this fragile thing between them to fall apart, and it keeps not happening.
But something else is happening. It starts with Ganondorf grabbing the back of Link’s shirt to drag him out of harms way during a fight. Then Link offers to share some of the food he cooked with him. Zelda stops Ganondorf just in time from wandering through a bush with poisonous thorns, and later she wakes up on a cold night to find a Gerudo cloak draped over her and Ganondorf shivering on the other side of the fire. Zelda and Link work together to gather ingredients to make a warming stew when Ganandorf comes down with a cold later.
Then one night Link and Zelda feel relaxed enough to chat about the old days, and reminisce about a funny thing that happened during Zelda’s research once. It’s a story that always makes the two of them laugh, but they’re surprised to hear a snort from across the campfire and look up to see Ganondorf pretending to cough to hide a chuckle. It’s not a mean, villainous laugh. It’s…ordinary. Like any of their friends laughing with them.
But it’s not until the day Ganondorf gets injured throwing himself in front of a blow that was meant for the kids that they realize oh, he cares about us, and we care about him too.

"Another one of those Outset traditions," Tetra smirked, slurping the juice off of a freshly-cut hydromelon slice. "Let him have it".
"Yeah, we do that all the time!", Link started signing so enthusiastically he completely failed to notice the slice offered to him, "When you taste the first fruit of the season, someone gotta pinch your ears, otherwise it just doesn't count! Ha, if only Grandma was here, she'd tear my ears off by now".
Ganondorf considered the tinging eartip for a moment, and then suggested nonchalantly:
"Hm. Must be why your sister has ears pointier than what half of Hylian nobility used to have".
The kids exchanged brief looks of bewilderment, only to drop on the sand, giggling and hollering, as if it was the best joke they've ever heard — and the joy in their laughter was so infectious, Ganondorf couldn't help but feel the corners of his own mouth raise ever so slightly. Thankfully, the smile was easy enough to hide by biting into his own piece of hydromelon.
The boy was right. The produce from their island was the sweetest the ocean had to offer.
...
Behold! A piece I've been working on on-and-off since September, if not August. As y'all probably know, I rarely go for backgrounds, and almost never bother with shading, so this was quite a challenge for me... But I am incredibly pleased with the final result.
The whole ear-pinching thing is a real tradition we have in our family! Probably a regional thing, not sure. Either way, I thought it fit the setting well, with how much ado is usually made over ears and whatnot.
Consider this a teaser for my AU ;^).

OOO THEORY TIME (TEARS OF THE KINGDOM SPOILERS AHEAD‼️‼️)
this one has almost no evidence behind it but i think it’s fun! I could be totally wrong btw
we see link being able to manipulate time in botw and totk. it could just be a gameplay mechanic, but if we take this as a canon ability, it could be because he has the spirit of the hero/the spirit of the hero of time.
Tumblr media
we also learn in totk that zelda has latent time powers (recall), which her secret stone amplifies.
Tumblr media
the only other person we see flurry rush is ganondorf (which was such a cool moment in the fight!), so presumably he also can manipulate time.
Tumblr media
what do these three have in common? they are the triforce trio, even if we don’t know where the triforce is.
if we headcanon that the triforce is split up this whole time, then link/zelda/ganondorf would have their respective pieces. maybe that is what gives them this common power?
going one step further: the triforce of wisdom gets passed down through the woman of the hyrulean royal line. assuming the triforce is split up, then sonia would have the triforce of wisdom in the past era of totk. she also has time powers :)

snippet that's haunting my brain but will probably never make it into a fic
"Wait," Ballad sat up suddenly from the grass, "i just had a thought!"
Across from him, slumped against Myth's back, their third team-mate didn't even bother looking up from the fames Master Sword he was tending. "Heaven preserve us."
Myth, not at all subtly, snorted at the sarcasm.
Ballad chose to ignore them both. "So you know how we call you Myth?" he turned to the blue clad hero, who nodded, "and we call you Legend?" and this time to the hero in red.
Legend's dark eyes still didn't lift to meet his own, still fixed on his sword, the only indication that he was even listening at all was that he kept answering. "Your point?"
"Does that make me The Man?"
Both of the others stare at him, and Ballad can;t help but preen a bit at their utter and obvious confusion.
"I'm sorry," Legend begins after a pause and a very hard stare, "but what?"
"Well you know," he motions to himself, "the man," a brief toss of the hand at their resident mono-syllabic friend, "the myth," he ends with a dramatic flourish at their youngest, "the legend."
Said Legend's head falls back, thumping against Myth's shoulders audibly. "Kill me."
Myth snorts again. "You know that makes Legend the coolest, right?"
He sniffs in answer. "It still makes me The Man."
"Sure."
"Begging for death here," rises, muffled, from where the young vet has slapped both hands over his face, and when both deny him, he groans.
