Bowser Day 2017 - Underwater Meat

"Stupid clowcar, of all times it has to break on this moment, in the middle of the ocean!" Bowser, forced to continue his journey underwater, was not really having a good time dealing with bloopers and X-nauts. In a turn on events he found a block with a piece of tasty meat inside, he definitely needed an energy source after all that swimming. With a surprised effect, he found himself getting bigger!. He of course will find another underwater meats for sure, it's almost like he can heard the invincibility theme ~ ----- Bowser Day, August 4th is the day! Started playing The Thousand-Year Door remake, and I think I’ve been able to pretty quickly identify why I held it in lower regard than the first Paper Mario, which is that it's less a "Super Mario-themed RPG with a papercraft artstyle" and more "Papercraft-themed RPG with Super Mario elements", and then further mutated into "Papercraft-themed video game with Super Mario and RPG elements".

Maybe that sounds too nitpicky, but it's the only way I can think of to explain how I feel about various elements of TTYD compared to Paper Mario. And to be clear, it's still a very good game, and I'm absolutely not saying "NO ORIGINAL SPECIES OR VILLAINS, ONLY TOADS AND BOWSER!!!", but in hindsight it's a lot easier to see how they went from TTYD to Super Paper Mario, and from there to (FUCKING) Sticker Star and beyond. Hell, even Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam makes more sense thinking about it like this.
