The If/Then game of asking someone to do an activity for which I have two free tickets when mom is out of town and my close friends have all moved away or failed their yearly examination.
#the options: the work friend. the most reliable one in the friendgroup. the most social one in the friendgroup. the flake with the dog.#the friend demoted last year for egregious social offences but not actual crimes. the friend demoted for not texting me in a year#but who lives close to the location and with whom I have no actual beef.#the Reliable one is roommates with the Social one. so I can’t invite either without the other one being aware#the work friend is a work friend and may insist on bringing her boyfriend with throws off the math.#the flake is the best all-round candidate for this particular gang except for he’s a flake (60% chance of showing up >1h late or bailing)#either former friend is fine in a group environment but may be awkward to invite since we have not hung out in either case for 18 months#well.
