the older European films (which are usually but not always giallos) that I watch as part of my work are some of the most beautifully-made movies I've ever seen, btw. unfortunately most of them also suck. like I was absolutely blown away by how good The Elements of Crime (1984) looked. would never recommend it.
#Footprints on the Moon? insanely atmospheric movie. no actual substance#The Strange Vice of Mrs. Wardh? terrible movie. hauntingly beautiful soundtrack that I still can't get out of my head#when I say these movies suck btw I don't just mean they're badly written#I mean many (not all) are violently misogynistic#including extremely graphic sexualised violence against women#so again. do not recommend#Ranger shut up
