In-Universe FNAF Books Hypothesis Part 1

This is my hypothesis on explaining on whether or not the Fazbear Frights or Tales From The Pizzaplex are canon.

So let's get things start, I think the FNAF Books are books that exist within the universe of the FNAF games. Think like Journal 3, The Book Of Bill, Marcy's Journal, Gerald Robotnik's Diary, or Arthur Spiderwick's Field Guide. In fact FNAF series already has a book like this called Five Nights At Freddy's: Survival Logbook, a book written by Fazbear Entertainment and written in by Michael Afton, Cassidy, and possibly the Crying Child. So I believe these books exist in-universe.

So in Five Nights At Freddy's: Security Breach one can find many arcade Cabinets. On one is Glitchtrap which is is an well the thing that possesses Gregory and Vanessa, and can be found in the in universe VR game. Fazbear Entertainment is probably aware of this anomaly and the model was made by one of their employees so they decide to use it as just another mascot. In addition characters like Frostbear and Melted Chocolate Bonnie are variant mascots created in-universe by Fazbear Entertainment for their delivery service. So it would make sense for them to reuse them for arcade cabinets. So why do I bring this up? Well in universe these cabinets also depict characters like Fetch and the Plushtrap Chaser which originate from the books. Put a pin in this for later.

So as we know the original Fazbear Entertainment was dissolved by Henry and replaced by a new version. So as we know they hired an in universe indie developer to create in universe FNAF games that make light of events of the previous games, and are intended to spread misinformation. Btw these are not the original games we played, they don't even include all of those games. So I as a way to further discredit these events of the original games they had published Fazbear Frights and Tales From The Pizzaplex. Filling them with incorrect information, fragmented bits they either misunderstood, alongside absurd and outlandish things such as Fazgoo, Sea Bonnies, Kids At Play Signs, and Fleshtrap

This would explain things that are similar to the games but are different from the games, all probably based on bits of information like hearsay. For example, there being 6 MCI victims is probably them getting the facts mixed up and lumping Charlie with the 5 MCI victims. Eleanor being Scrapbaby and her abilities being based on the incident where Michael rose back up after collapsing. The Stitchwraith being based on Ennard and the 2 spirits based on misunderstanding Ennard arguing amongst themself. Even the staining being the molten remnant. Jake being a misunderstanding of the Crying Child whose father talked to him through walkie talkie in a Fredbear plush, and who ended up in the hospital. The Mimic being very different between the games and books in regards to intelligence. The mistakes in The Horror Attraction. GGY have true elements in it. The Help Wanted Story seeming to have truth mixed in with fiction. The Man In Room 1280 misinterpreting Ultimate Custom Night. Or Michael roaming about in You're The Band.

This would explain why Fazbear Frights references these book characters and uses them as mascots like they do with Freddy Frostbear. Because they created them for these books. It also explains why the FNAF AR Funtime Freddy quotes Count The Ways in spite of the fact the books contradict the games. Speaking of which.... Part 2

I feel like my question was misunderstood.

I am not saying if you're going to adapt the Talbert files stuff now. I'm saying that had Scott actually gone down this route(William creating the puppet, Michael being a cryptid called the Stitchwraith) do you think it might have impacted home a bit? You worked a lot of stuff from canon into the plot so I was just curious

Ahem, but I digress. Yes! It would've definitely. So, let's see... This would've likely gone into effect between Sister Location and Pizzeria Simulator, so...

Okay, so everything before the finale of Can't Go Home Again would've been the same. Mike, Mari, Foxy, Baby, even Ennard- all the established stuff would've stayed that way, because it was Pizzeria Simulator that allowed me to finally split from the lore. So, what next?

Michael would've still been Springtrap as it was built up, BUT I might've either established that the Stitchwraith stuff happened earlier or put him into a Stitchwraith-esque body moving forward.

With Cassidy being a huge character and Charlie likely not being revealed as the Puppet, Charlie likely wouldn't have become the Security Puppet, maybe? She might've stayed human. Which means the little family she made might've not even happened! I'm not sure whether Cassidy would've been a main character or not, but I could've seen condensing the characters and having them be siblings.

The biggest change I could've seen was, likely, there wouldn't have been a Jake and Andrew. If that was the case, the entire situation surrounding Sunnymoon would've been different and Jake himself probably wouldn't be in the story. O.O

And yes, the irony of Michael- who was almost the Stitchwraith- becoming buddy-buddy with Jake- who was the Stitchwraith- is not lost on me. XD

Hmmmmm. I've had fnaf brain worms for a while now, so I'm gonna do that, and I'll try to cover as many of the animatronics as possible, minus the different skin versions that pop up for different events/DLCs/whatever

Gumdrop Angel (but my Au in 5 sentences or less)

Gumdrop Angel: William isn't getting any younger and as the years pass on the slower he gets. So he passes the time by visiting other pizzerias and meeting particular people such as Dominic. Dominic was a strange case, especially with the questions he asked the purple man himself. “You have to tell me how it felt to take a life, Mr. Afton.” He's a problem that needs to be taken care of.

Sergio’s Lucky Day: Sergio isn't exactly the luckiest or most innocent man alive. As an architect, he works on building buildings and his most infamous one would have to be the Fazbear franchise. At the start, the man questioned Mr. Afton’s strange aspects of investing rooms or locks at random places. He career about money then so he kept his mouth shut but the more incidents happen at Freddy’s the more concerned he gets. He figured maybe taking another deeper look at the place would give him peace, but honestly, he feels like he was walking into his grave.

What We Found: Hudson is a quiet man who mostly keeps to himself. With his past life in misery, he often wonders why he goes on up until he meets a particular two particular men at his new job at Fazbear’s Fright. Milo Mack, the young and impressionable guy by the phone, and Xavier Flores an older man who works as the nighttime security. Milo is what Hudson wishes he could be when he was young while Xavier is someone he relates with their dreaded past and locked secrets in tow. He doesn't realize how important these secrets were up until he started to ask questions.

Stitchwraith: Time has passed and Larson has yet to find his missing son. He loses sleep not only with worry but of the constant nightmares he gets from the supposed Marionette-like figure that saved his life. Ennard, in the meantime, hides away as the others all struggle to comprehend what just happened. This figure was responsible for their pain, their power outmatching theirs, way beyond their comprehension. And yet they still go on, a new idea in mind to finally get rid of this thing once and for all.

One weird thought I had for the FNaF AU, Afton trying to pull an "Ennard" and building a new body for himself using parts taken from multiple Animatronics.

This is actually inspired by a very short-lived subplot from the Fazbear Frights books, where Afton combined all the one-off animatronic villains who weren't Eleanor into a single, 15 foot amalgamation to serve as his new body. It lasted for one and a half epilogues and was destroyed just as abruptly as it was created when the detective protagonist of the epilogues just yeeted a Puppet mask at him and the entire thing collapsed into a lifeless pile of garbage.

In this case, however, I was thinking of something a bit more human-sized (more like Ennard or the Stitchwraith), something Afton would have an easy time hiding and could dress up like a rabbit so he can lure kids into an Employees Only area.

He's just looking at how Michael and Elizabeth got android bodies to haunt and is like 'hey wait I want that now!'

Here's what I know about the characters! Roxanne: Twisted Wolf and a Lolbit model (I don't remember her name) are Roxanne's parents! They were divorced, but I think they ended up back together! I don't know much about Roxanne's sister, but she did have a twin brother named Rocky! He ended up dying by Ennard's hand in an effort to rescue Gregory! Anyway! Roxanne was originally a self-centred individual, but Glamrock Freddy set her up with Gregory, and the two started a channel together! Over time, Roxanne became calmer and toned down on her attitude. However, Eclipse (V1 from TSAMS) put a maternity chip in her. Which made her much more material but also a bit baby crazy! She was set to marry Glamrock Freddy (because of a misunderstanding), but Circus Baby crashed her wedding and removed the chip. Roxanne was shattered and back to being mean again, but that didn't last long. Eventually, things got sorted out! Now Roxanne is Gregory's mother, as she adopted him! There was also an arc where she dated Circus Baby! But due to Baby wanting a family of her own, it caused stress, and they broke up. (May or may not have been after Ennard turned evil? Don't quite remember!) Regardless, I believe Roxanne identifies as a lesbian and is currently single! Puppet: Puppet was originally Charlie, yes! In her original dimension, Puppet was possessed by the spirit of Charlie. However, she cut Henry's (her dad) strings. She had strings connected to everything, so if she disconnects them, then that individual can die. Depending on how long they've been attached for. Unfortunately, her actions kill Henry, and she leaves! After that, her dimension dies. I'm not sure at what point she is no longer Charlie, but it's likely after she moves to the TSAMS dimension! She meets Golden Freddy, and after some time, they fell in love and got married. (I think!) They eventually have Freddy (OG Freddy!) via magic! However, Puppet runs from her responsibilities. Leaving Freddy with Golden! We don't hear about Puppet again until Lunar needs somewhere to stay. (A whole situation with Eclipse!) I think Puppet helps Monty get to space at some point, but I don't quite recall! Some point later in the timeline, she meets Foxy, and they eventually start dating! She becomes FC's mom! (Also, Jack's mom, too! Which was during Solar's death, I think!) There was also a whole situation with the Stitchwraith that eventually got sorted out. However, they ended up with a lot of negative star power. Monty stored it somewhere, but Gemini tells them to get rid of it! So, they decide (after much discussion) to put it into Puppet's dimension. As it's dead. Monty and Moon build a machine that can send the dark star power to Puppet's dimension. It works, but they have a little bit of an issue with it. Thankfully, the dark star power is dealt with! However, there's unforeseen consequences! The dark star power awakens something dubbed as the Puppet Master. It was essentially Puppet's mirror. It could use her abilities but would have to learn to control them first. Puppet ends up asking Eclipse for help, and he reluctantly agrees to. Cutting a long story short, they end up having to track down the Puppet Master before it could get to their dimension. That whole situation ends with Puppet and Puppet Master facing off. (Without getting into the entire arc that happened there, of course!) Eclipse and Puppet end up trapping the Puppet Master! After that, Puppet decides she has to leave. Otherwise, there's a risk the Puppet Master will return and hurt her friends. She and Eclipse go to their new home, which is the new dimension that came into existence after Ruin destroyed 5000 others. Now Puppet, Foxy, FC and Eclipse live in this new dimension! Running the channel, whilst trying to prevent things from happening here that have happened in the TSAMS dimension! (They don't want history to repeat itself essentially!)

But the moment his wife introduces another woman from within the camp, he feels like the world around him crumbled.

In the Flesh: Matt has what he considers the most excruciating social anxiety known to man. He prefers to be inside than outside, to be in his room alone than talk in the living room, and communicate through text than talk on the phone. The only person Matt considers to be the only person he can talk to is Luis. Luis is everything Matt wants to be; outgoing, intelligent, and good-looking. He just hopes Luis’s advice would help him finally get back up on his feet.

The Man in Room 1280: Father Arthur is a man of faith, he's talked to and prayed over people he would consider being good, bad, or neither. The injured man that lies in room 1280, he's a good man, he knows of it very well. He's being suspected of arson within his workplace, police work all over, and once he gets better he may be suspected of jail time. But Father Arthur reads the Holy book nonetheless, keeping the injured man at ease as he wakes up at random times. Xavier Flores can only look at the Father as he rethinks the events that had transpired before.

Stitchwraith: Ennard has never talked to anyone other than the ones that are within him. Grim is an exception, he's a calm man, and despite being homeless, he gets by with what he's got. He doesn't know why he talks to the man, he just did and somehow the two built a strange friendship. But when Ennard confesses to his crimes, that he is not human, that he is not who Grim thinks he is but the man dismisses it. “I've met God and the Devil himself and you, sir, are the least of my concerns.”

Anyhoo, so I go out there a lot, right? Yeah, well, turns out something else goes out there too. You're not gonna believe this, but I once found an endoskeleton walking around out there. I told Scott about this, Fritz too, they went out and looked for it but couldn't find, so the thing probably keeled over.

...Is what I tell Scott and Fritz, but I think it's still alive out there. It was acting a little too... Awake, if you get my drift. It was like wearing a garbage bag and had a white face- didn't get a good look before it split. The thing must've seen me before, because that sucker bolted. Probably heard the rumors about the Hurricane Clown, ha ha!

Some character from the books that I don't know the name of or if they're ever named in the first place (I wish I could go into more detail but they're mostly just known as a nonhuman consciousness that possesses two separate people. ... Does that mean they count as two separate characters? Or just one murderous asshole?)

In one of the endings of Help Wanted, it's implied you may have become a system! Enjoy your new evil rabbit headmate!

Depending on how you want to call it, you could say Molten Freddy, Ennard, and most of the Funtime animatronics count as five separate characters/systems (although they're the same souls in different bodies, just split up in different ways). They're definitely at least one plural character. And this isn't even getting into the mess of calculating that one time they were possessing the body of someone entirely unrelated to this group.

I will say that Circus Baby/Scrap Baby, despite being part of Ennard for a time, is implied to be her own system that is more or less separate from the others even when her system temporarily merges with another, so I'm counting her as her own character.

There's almost certainly more I'm forgetting because I only watch the franchise from a distance, but it's... well, it certainly is. And there are still a few more characters who I could add to the list, but they have flimsier backing for their potential plurality compared with these canon systems or heavily-implied-to-be-canon systems.

I'm honestly kind of impressed by FNAF's ability to keep coming up with new versions of the "evil, serial killer alter/system" trope. It feels like every time I check up on the lore they've written a new plural character (not that I suspect anyone in any of these writing rooms have ever heard the words "plural" or "system"), always inevitably with some sort of murdery twist. Sometimes it's an entire evil consciousness with confusing origins that apparently wants to kill its host. Sometimes it's just some vengeful spirits sharing a body (occasionally with a marginally less vengeful spirit thrown in there for flavor). Sometimes it's just your classic horror movie trope of one poor, unlucky person Plagued By The Horrors of being possessed by their evil alter ego who's planning an unknown number of murders at any given moment. I hate how often it occurs but I gotta give them points for creativity. They decided they were going to use this horror trope and they sure have delivered
