Finally watched Good Omens Season 2.
I had planned to watch it the day it came out, but then I was hindered, and by the end of the day I had already been spoiled on everything against my will, so I hadn't found the excitement and drive in myself to bother until now, being sick and having some time on my hands.
I am very happy to report, that even though I was already spoiled all the characters and story beats, the ending still managed to grip me. My heart bleeds for them, I just want to see them happy...
Immense gratitude to all the wonderful people who had a hand, no matter how big or small, in creating this experience.
I'm looking forward to season 3. Here's to me being free day one, because God knows if I am spoiled this utterly and completely again, it will take another two years for me to actually see the end with my own eyes.

I wish that would have been how it went... I had time set aside and planned to watch on the release Friday but due to unforseen circumstances I couldn't.
By Sunday I was utterly and completely spoiled. And I was careful, avoiding the relevant tags and all.
So now it's been half a year and I still haven't watched season 2.
I will, hopefully soon, I want to, I'm interested, it's my favourite show. But I already feel like I know everything and just have a couple gaps of how to fill in, so the urgency is gone. Doesn't matter too much anymore if I watch it now or in the months or even weeks leading up to season 3; I missed my opportunity to be part of the discovery and discussions.
Having a daily release feels like the perfect balance of not keeping people waiting for weeks on end (which annoys me too tbh), and not dropping it all at once so everyone has a very limited 24 to 48 hours timeframe to watch it all before even thinking to dare look at social media.
It is what it is in the end though; I'll have another chance with season 3.
Good morning. Is it true that you would have preferred to have Good Omens 2 released over time rather than all at once? If so, why the preference? Thanks.
Very much so. I was pushing for an episode a night over a week, but then the strike started and the conversation ended.
Because I wanted people to be able to talk about what they'd seen, discuss and hypothesize.
#good omens#the downside of new seasons of any series being dropped all at once#the spoilers are unavoidable even when you move in completely different cirlces of the web#however waiting three months for a twelve episode event is equally annoying because of course its all cliffhangers#i guess there is no 'right' answer either way
