I wish that would have been how it went... I had time set aside and planned to watch on the release Friday but due to unforseen circumstances I couldn't.
By Sunday I was utterly and completely spoiled. And I was careful, avoiding the relevant tags and all.
So now it's been half a year and I still haven't watched season 2.
I will, hopefully soon, I want to, I'm interested, it's my favourite show. But I already feel like I know everything and just have a couple gaps of how to fill in, so the urgency is gone. Doesn't matter too much anymore if I watch it now or in the months or even weeks leading up to season 3; I missed my opportunity to be part of the discovery and discussions.
Having a daily release feels like the perfect balance of not keeping people waiting for weeks on end (which annoys me too tbh), and not dropping it all at once so everyone has a very limited 24 to 48 hours timeframe to watch it all before even thinking to dare look at social media.
It is what it is in the end though; I'll have another chance with season 3.
Good morning. Is it true that you would have preferred to have Good Omens 2 released over time rather than all at once? If so, why the preference? Thanks.
Very much so. I was pushing for an episode a night over a week, but then the strike started and the conversation ended.
Because I wanted people to be able to talk about what they'd seen, discuss and hypothesize.
#good omens#the downside of new seasons of any series being dropped all at once#the spoilers are unavoidable even when you move in completely different cirlces of the web#however waiting three months for a twelve episode event is equally annoying because of course its all cliffhangers#i guess there is no 'right' answer either way
