Found two new bugs in the yard this week. A long legged fly (shiny, metallic green fly that apparently loves to eat spider mites and aphids) and a white lined sphinx moth caterpillar (also known as a hummingbird moth). I've tried for years to get the sphinx moth to return to our yard and it's finally happened. I don't even care that there's a chance the caterpillar will eat my tomato plants, I'll deal with it later. There is also a hummingbird nest in our tree which makes me very very happy.
