fans of The Sopranos are some of the stupidest people alive, and not because of their brain dead takes on Carmela or general inability to think critically.
it's because they never talk about how Christopher Moltisanti makes an in-universe revenge fantasy film called Cleaver that he describes as "SAW meets The Godfather" where Alec Baldwin (as himself) plays the character based on Tony, and that the movie's final shot is a zombie-Christopher murdering Baldwin-Tony with the titular cleaver while shouting "va fangool!"

here are some shows that have 10 to 13-episode seasons: the wire, breaking bad, the sopranos, mad men, better call saul
and here are some shows that have 22-episode seasons: supernatural, glee
now i’m not saying anything. i’m just saying
#ok i will say something actually…i saw a rolling stone article yesterday arguing in favor of the 22-episode season#and they did namedrop the sopranos. and they were like ‘it wouldn’t have been as good if each season was only 8 episodes’#and all i could think was ‘yeah but it wouldn’t be as good if each season was 22 episodes either!!!’#i think a 22-episode season of tv is fine IF you’re a sitcom#but they are barely even making sitcoms anymore. i know there’s abbott elementary but that’s like the only one i can think of#most ‘comedies’ on tv these days are not sitcoms and are also not that funny#and if you go on the wikipedia category page for ‘2020s american single-camera sitcoms’#most of them are holdovers from the 2010s and/or already ended#like who give a shit about the 22-episode tv season…the sitcom has DIED BADLY and you don’t even care!!!#ok but back on topic…i would prefer that tv seasons have at least 10 episodes but you’re wrong if you think under 10 can’t be done well#the righteous gemstones for example…funniest thing on tv right now. 9 episodes per season#and yes…they feel like ‘complete’ tv seasons!#like. it can be done. the problem is most of these shows just aren’t doing it

james gandolfini was an amazing actor, and all signs point to an even better person... theres nothing out there bad about him anywhere... im amazed at how effective he was at pulling off the tony soprano role... im a huge sopranos fan... i couldnt find this video attached to any product or advertisement, so i dont know what this video was made for, but i like it... enjoy a bit of gandolfini comedy... rip, gone too soon...

i started watching barry and when you all were swooning and horny over bill hader in like 2017/2018 i thought you all were insane........i get it now...............
#just needed to see him depressed and murdering people i guess#i've been in love w anthony carrigan for years like you know. you KNOW#that's not new but this....is new....and idk how i feel about it....#i think the show is just ok btw#like idk. i just started season 2 and think it might have been overhyped to me a bit#i've seen it held up with the likes of succession and the sopranos and. no. not even close#maybe it'll get better but i give it like a 6/10 so far maybe a 6.5#i don't really like comedies at all and it does lean more comedy on the dramedy scale which i don't think i was expecting so maybe thats it#i am very bored and have depression i will keep watching it
