there's a lot of posts like this going around but i figured never too many. your life really does not end when you turn 30 or 40 or 50. here's just a few things that happened in just the year my mom turned 50: she learned english so well over a year she understands so much now without needing subtitles despite saying for years before that that she's too old to learn a language (you never are), she got her first tattoo (plans on getting another), she went skydiving for the first time (loved it, plans on going again) and started taking dance lessons for the first time (which she always dreamed of but life got in the way) and just told me she's not sure if she's ever felt this alive before. so your 50s could be your best years and you have much to look forward to
