Costal Family Cottage.🌊
Hello! This time i've build a Costal Family Cottage in Brindleton Bay. It's build on this idyllic lot close to the beach. To me this feels like a really dreamy house and it's perfect for a family because it has 4 bedroom's, 2 bathroom's a cosy living room and a small office. I had so much fun with building and decorating this cottage. I hope you like it!

Moving to Sydney, Australia. (part 1)
It has been hard to find the time and the right moment to write this post. But here I am, taking advantages of a cloudy Sunday and after having spent one of the best birthday I had ever experienced in 25 years of life.
Sydney was not in my plans. I mean, of course I would have visited it one day, but the idea to live there for one year has never crossed my mind. That’s so true, what it is unexpected will be the best part of your life. After having found my internship ( people always ask me how I found this internship and here the answer: I contacted an agency in The Netherlands that can provide you this service. You can type on Google “Internship Abroad” and check if you have one of those agencies in your country), I applied for the Visa that has been accepted in 2 seconds (here is the link to apply: https://online.immi.gov.au/lusc/register; then you can create your immigration account and you will be transferred through the whole application automatically so it’s fairly easy). Bought my tickets in skyscanner.com and everything was ready.
I left Amsterdam on 22 August and arrived in Sydney 24 hours later on 24 August. For me there was no 23 August. None at all. Where it went exactly I couldn’t tell you. All I know is that for one twenty-four-hour period in the history of Earth, it appreas I had no being. Maybe I was preparing myself to the unexpectable. or maybe not.
Anyway, the first things to do are your bank account and your health insurance: for your bank account you can follow these instructions -
1. Go to www.commbank.com.au/workandtravel
2. Choose your Account type as “Open Smart Access”
3. To get started, click “OK”
4. Complete questions about YOU **NOTE : USE YOUR ADDRESS IN YOUR HOME COUNTRY WHEN OPENING YOUR ACCOUNT BEFORE ARRIVAL INTO AUSTRALIA**
5. Choose the Bank location as: “NSW” and then “L&C Sts, NSW”
6. Note – you can pick up your Bank Card from this branch when it is ready ( they will send you an email)
7. Choose your internet banking PASSWORD
Regarding the health insurance, it all depends on which country you are from, but you can easily apply for free for the Medicare insurance. Here you find the link that will help you: https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa/Visa/Medicare
Just buy a Lebara sim card and bring your phone unlocked, and you are ready for a new adventure in the down under land. Finding a place to stay it is not difficult, the main resourse is facebook and flatmate.com.au.
But let’s stop with this boring (but useful) stuff. For anything you need just drop me a message and i will be happy to help!
I have immediately felt at home with my housemates and with my collegues and Work and Travel Company gave me the chance to experience so many new things like learning how to surf!
I have been to Blue Mountains, I went paddle boarding, I have made plenty of costal walks, I ate at the Sydney Tower. Here the magnificent scenary of Blue Mountains:
Life in Australia is amazing bacause you do something new everyday ,you can visit stunning places and experience adventures you had never thought you could be able to experience!
Australia is amazing because you meet beautiful people and you fall in love with them because here everything is so intense and concentrated. But there is the other side of the penny about this topic: you have to accept goodbyes. I have always hated goodbyes, it is something I cannot bear. The people I met and I will meet here deserve a full article, I will write very very soon.
I want to thank my Family, Giulia and Flo and many of my roots in Italy and Amsterdam. You give me the energy and the stability I need to grow and fly.
Keep you posted.
Love you.
Joana
