it was only a matter of time before i ended up doing some inside no 9 fanart huh? anyway this is dedicated to my favourite (atm) episode of the show, 'diddle diddle dumpling'

It's been about 9 and a half months since I had Let's Get Back! put out a new compilation cover album, so for their grand return, they present Class of the 2000s! A love letter to some of my favorite cartoon theme songs from the past decade or so!

For anyone who doesn't know, cartoons and animation is one of my special interests, and I have a playlist that's just some of my all time favorite cartoon theme songs, and this is a selection of a few of those! Also, I think I've mentioned this here before, but Let's Get Back! is my OC cover band! You can read more about them here if you'd like, but in short, they just play covers of whichever songs I want them to lol. It's all just in spirit tho, I can't actually play music to save my life lmao.

In this, Shep, PB, Rye and Pumpernickel (Let's Get Back!'s four main members) are joined by Starburst for the vocals on tracks 1, 8 and 10! I wanted to include Starburst because she's basically made for something like this. She's basically a kinsona of Jenny from Wayside hehe. For this, I also gave each of my characters outfits to match some of the characters from the shows showcased!

From left to right they're: Pumpernickel as Jimmy from Jimmy Two-Shoes PBnJ as Tamama from Sgt. Frog Starburst as Jenny from Wayside [which is just her default design lol] Shep as Abe from Clone High Rye as Jimmy from Jimmy Neutron

But this, like I said, is a showcase of some of my all time favorite theme songs! Two of them in fact (Master and Hey 2 Look 2), introduced me to what would become two of my all time favorite bands in Abandoned Pools and Beat Crusaders respectively hehe. Ok so for the “child of Frankensteins creature”, instead of being the child of victor Frankenstein, imagine a universe where victor was actually nice to his creation, gave him a name (Adam Frankenstein), and created a child for him instead of a bride. Also imagine Frankie sees Victor as an uncle more than a grandpa even tho he is technically their grandpa lmao

15 days old = 15 yrs old, they’re a sophomore at monster high

Since Mattel can’t make Frankie green anymore because of copywrite, I made them bluish and greenish yellow, blue for the g3 design and green yellow for the book design of Frankensteins creature (his skin is yellow because of formaldehyde so why not have Frankie’s skin a little yellow too)

Loves doodling on their prothetic leg

I went with an even nerdier design than last time I drew Frankie just because in the reboot movie, they wore sweater vests a lot and I thought it was cute lol

Loves accessorizing and piercings sm like their room is probably filled with diy jewelry kits and different jewelry for piercings (ofc their dad makes them get them professionally done no diy piercings here 😞)

Has a friendship bracelet with all friends possible and probably makes more all the fime

Their bag is a blue star bag with a yellowish white fluffy shoulder pad

Very very very tall, not as tall as their 8ft tall dad tho lmao

Loves platform shoes and bright makeup

Hair is like a side shave (shaved side is purple) with black streaks and a blue underdye

Doesn’t have braces anymore maybe they got them removed Lmao

Very much involved in school and probably has the most school spirit out of everyone

Doesn’t understand certain phrases (ex: bottle up ur feelings-they literally bottle up their feelings, it’s raining cats and dogs-probably will go looking for cats and dogs)

Based on my last redesign, probably still uses mobility aids when needed but they also have a prosthetic leg so idk how much

Can remove and add new limbs whenever

Walking in the snow hearing the birds congregate and flutter. This will be a slow steady walk to gas station to get energy drinks. I almost value my spacious solitude so much I wanna go further to the store where the drinks are a dollar less expensive. Bright white and children playing, coughing and making snowballs. It's good to be back in my bfs neighborhood. I love the trees. There's trees at my parents, more trees but they are extremely right wing there. It's intimidating. I'm green party if I had to choose.

Air like cooling mint on my cheeks. Like I said this gonna be a slow trek ~ especially cus I'm wearing sneakers and not my snow boots. Alternatively might my trek be speedier with more nimble feet? Heavy boots can slow one down. I enjoy my sneakers. My bf is so vehemently against me at times telling me to fuck off or leave. But I stay,wtf. I'm not forcing myself on him, not really. Because when I begin setting up my ride home to family I always ask again to confirm, "you want me gone right?" And then suddenly he says no or "do whatever you want" ...so I stay. You know it hurts my heart but gives me purpose. I have such romance in me and earthiness I feel I need a physical partner to touch and be close with. He's got me bad.

And the model is me :D (Mainly just because I'm always available to take pics of myself lol) For the top tho, I bought it back in 2020 and have attempted to hunt down where I'd gotten it from to get more colors & because other people have asked me where I got it from, but.... Idk where it was from ;__; There's no real identifying info on the top itself either. All I know for sure is that I got it after seeing @/alythuh on twitter wearing one while painting & her reply to someone with a link to it. Sometime last year I tried to hunt down that tweet where she'd linked to it and I can't find that either :[ If ever I somehow come across these tops again I'll be sure to let everyone know. If I give my OCs music taste, then it's often equal to mine. So I don't know how to answer this one.

Craziest I'd say Selene. Her hair is blond, her shirt is gray, her pants are light blue, her shoes dark blue and her eye color is a gray-green.

Cohesive, I'm going with Cyril, Dark and Etaine. They do have a darker color scheme in clothing/design in general.

Cyril: Flowing

Zero is a general character, but he has his origins in the Madokaverse, so I gues that.

I'd say Etaine and Cyril would both fit into Princess Tutu's context, while Lucy and Selene definitely would fit into Miraculous.

Lucy. She is a seductive dark magical girl, she can't help it.

Love: A peaceful life.

Hate: Injustice.

Probably Etaine. She's relatively chill and if she is stressful, then she either goes dancing, or hangs out with her boyfriend or her bestie.

I think they all do.

Lucy. Followed by Selene and Cyril.

Cyril: He was originally created as a rogue/mysterious miraculous wielder. I dropped that idea in favor of a more straight forward OC in the end.

Dark: He originally had a much different backstory. He originally was meant to be a completely black hedgehog and would have been mortally wounded. He would have been "reborn" through the Chaos Emeralds which would also have given him the purple elements of his fur.

Lucy: She was originally meant to go into a more antagonistic route in a Juliette-esque fashion (tho less brutal). Without a Trubel-ex machina.

Zero: This boy went through a thousand backstory changes that I will not go through now.

Nova: The idea for his creation came out of nowhere when I was outside with the dog.

Selene: She originally was named Asuka and had a more upbeat personality.

Raiden: His backstory and the fact that Merlin is his father came through a joke.

Etaine: As a supernatural being, she has a final form that is all cosmic and ballet styled.

Zero would win, given he's divinity. I think closest would be Lucy (as Lilith), Dark (super form) and Etaine (final form).

DabiHawks as parents headcanons ~

note: requested by anon a while ago, so sorry for being so slow! these are the kids in question, and this is sort of a warm up project for a multichaptered slice of life fic I'm gonna write on the subject, so this will focus on the first few years, and the upcoming fic will be more in depth and on the later years <3

so first of all, idk how the kids came to be exactly, but my go to is a quirk thing, and they were def a bit of a surprise

at first, Dabi was the one who was freaking the f out, while Keigo was keeping his spirits up and trying to stay positive for the both of them

but pretty quick Dabi is reminded that kids are pretty sturdy, and that he does actually remember more about babies and totts than he thought from being an older brother

Kiego, however, gets a bit of a rude awakening the first time he held the twins

He had never seen anything this tiny like how is he supposed to keep it alive?? And happy?? And help make them into good people?? He's not even sure he is a good person!

They come to realize they sorta even each other out tho, so they kinda work great together

The twins are fraternal, a boy and a girl, both have wings like Keigo, but their wings are mismatched, one red and one white, opposite of the other

The girl is name Haya, and the boy is Haruto, Haru for short

Just around when the kids have their second birthday, Keigo and Dabi are finally starting to feel like they're gaining back some sense of control, and then; the children starts goes airborne

Every time they run into someone they don't see as often who asks about the kids they're like "yeah, no, it's great, even tho there are two of them, and they are running now and grabbing things and oh, they can fly, so-"

Even tho things are chaotic they are loving it, they'd honestly probably be bored if things were too calm

Haru happens to have the same type of split hair as Shouto has, only with blonde and white, but he generally looks so much like Shouto did. at that age and sometimes it absolutely shatters Dabi's heart

He'll see Haru do something silly and childlike and be all happy and innocent and then he'd remember Shouto's crying and training and his own misplaced resentment of his brother, and he'll just have to call up his brother and ask him if he's eating enough, sleeping well, being safe of patrol and to make sure his boyfriend is being nice to him

Shouto is always a little confused, but he still appreciates the sentiment lol

Dabi is the type to always carry the kids around, even as they get older, and they often hang around his shoulders, one on his chest and one on his back

He's also the type to play a little rougher with them, throwing them around and holding them upside down and the kids adore it

Keigo is always running after them like a stressed mother bird

Haya gets into all kinds of spooky things really early, and Haru is terrified of it, so since Dabi also loves it, it becomes their little thing

Haru and Keigo will be in the other room watching Disney movies and sobbing lol

Keigo (not so) secretly loves dressing them up when they little, putting together their outfits is one of his favorite things to do

Even when they get older he'll keep a few pairs of shoes etc to look at and get emotional

They're both very much “as long as they know we love and support them no matter what they’ll be fine” kind of parents, and they both love it a lot more than they figured they would have before they had them <3

Thinking about Season Symbols.

Readmore because (as with most things I post) I rambled and it got long.

Gratitude - a spiral. If you Google 'gratitude symbol' you get a lot of variations of this spiral. Unsure exact origin because most images are unsourced on Pinterest... But ye, seems the spiral is a symbol of gratitude.

Lightseekers - two hands held up to cup a circle that, presumably, resembles light. Seeking light. Always thought it looks a bit like antlers.

Belonging - interlocking diamonds! An unbroken chain, like the segments belong together. This symbol appears on some Elder clothing, like right on Ayin's chest, as well as appearing on some stone gates such as the one in the Hidden Forest social area. It actually pops up a lot in the world of Sky.

Rhythm - a snowflake. Probably just because the season was released in winter. I don't think the symbol relates to the idea of 'rhythm'. Feel free to correct me.

Enchantment - almost a horse-shoe with a star in the concave edge. Maybe a really rounded boat? A stylised anchor? I want to say it reminds me of a magic symbol or rune but I'm not sure which one. But if it is, that would make some sense for 'Enchantment'.

Sanctuary - thassa manta fam. Lotta those in Sanctuary. Seems straightforward enough.

Prophecy - hello Alef/Resh. This season does try to teach us about the rise of the Prince/King so this seems an obvious symbol.

Dreams - a colosseum with rising stars! Symbolises the specific dream of the Skater in Dreams.

Assembly - that's a fleur-de-lis, a recurring symbol in scouting organisations. Maybe mixed with a stylised campfire? The Spirits are scouts. I guess 'Season of Scouts' didn't sound right to TGC lol. They do be assembling tho.

so kuukou's list was deadass the hardest list to make and a large part of why is because punk is such a large genre lol i think kuukou and i have a similar taste in music but that also made it hard because i'd find a song i'd like but it wouldn't quite feel like a kuukou song. i wound up going with sound rather than lyrical meaning, because while punk in its purest form is about sticking it to the establishment (which is why i think kuukou likes punk), few songs hit that for me without being too emo about and kuukou doesn't like emo sounding songs lmao. if some songs happen to resonate as meaningful that's just a happy coincidence lol

seven nation army was a hard choice over a different song i had in mind, but uhhh 'and the stains coming from my blood tell me go back home' felt oddly resonate with kuukou fresh from the nb breakup and that's why i chose this one lol also 'a seven nation army couldn't hold me back' is metal af and i think suits kuukou lol

speed has heavy percussion and since kuukou was the drummer in the bat band in the halloween event, i made sure to have a song where the drums stand out lol

freak like me is a song by a girl???? yeah lol halestorm is a band i personally think kuukou would like so i included them lol. they are closer to metal which is a blessing and a shame because they actually have a song i think is jyushi to a tee lol

wana is a song i flipped back forth on but ultimately came back to because the song has a heavy guitar lol

smells like teen spirit is the defining kuukou song for this list, not necessarily for the lyrics or sound, but because the official hypmic perfumes referenced nirvana's nevermind album for the name of kuukou's perfume. so this is homage to that and fortunately it goes hard lol

likewise, zero is the closest j-punk i found that sounds like what i think kuukou would listen to and is a defining song on this list. great sound and 'believe in your dreams it'll set you free' isn't that bad of message to put out lol

jyushi's list is personally the one i'm most proud of lol. i'd like to say tho, i personally don't think any english music comes close to what vkei is peddling so for the english songs, so i chose by artist and who tells a story with their music/appearance since that's what i consider important for vkei

shiver is a classic lol that's why i chose it

mcr is the western fandom's choice for jyushi's fave band but 'welcome to the black parade' is too obvious of a choice. so i gave jyushi my fave mcr song

i made sure all of hitoya's songs were stuck in the 20th century LOL for the japanese songs tho, instead of going to japanese 50s/60s songs, i went with songs that hopefully make the listener think, 'that sounds kinda vintage' while still being a banger lol

glay has been around forever and i think it would have been criminal if i didn't use one of their songs lol
