toleration.
that was the one thing keeping you going in these new, uncertain circumstances of yours. as long as you laid low, didn’t complain, and simply tolerated your new life then maybe, things wouldn’t be so bad.
that seems easy, except for the fact that there was one thing, rather one person, you just could not tolerate. and that was player 124.
sure, the crowd he stuck to was overall quite obnoxious, but for some reason 124 in particular really got under your skin. first off, you didn’t like how he and his purple-haired crackhead friend would always pick on that player 333. sure, he may have scammed lots of people out of their money, but surely those idiots had bigger things to focus on over being petty nuisances.
secondly? the way he would stare at you with such hate for no good reason. you assumed it was probably due to the fact that you constantly voted X, even though you both knew it didn’t make much of a difference. it didn’t bother you that he hated you, seeing as the feeling was more than mutual, but you just wish he would focus his stare somewhere else.
and lastly, every single thing about him and his mannerisms just pissed. you. off. his whole smug demeanour really made you want to land a punch square between his eyes, but you figured he might actually be into that since he clearly had a death wish, seeing as how he always picked the O side of the vote. you were convinced that had it not been for his tweaker of a leader, he would have died a long time ago. to be honest, you wished he had.
that’s why, when he grabbed you by the sleeve and yanked you into a room for the mingle game, you were completely stunned. you would have figured 124 would have left you for dead, hell, you would have expected him to purposely knock you to the ground. maybe it was the adrenaline that made him grab you, maybe it was that he actually… wanted to save you? no, couldn’t have been.
unless..?
“what the hell did you do that for?” you asked, out of breath. he furrowed his brows, looking down on you with that usual stare. “well?” you continued, louder this time. he let out a chuckle before taking a glance out at all the unlucky players who couldn’t find groups.
“what’s so funny?” you questioned, steadying yourself against the wall. he looked back at you, with that shit eating smirk that you hated so much. “i just didn’t realize that you wanted to die that badly.” his response took you aback, a sour expression appearing on your face.
“oh, i suppose i should thank you for yanking me by the arm like that then?” you huffed, rolling your shoulder as you adjusted your sleeve. he approached you, and you suddenly felt the urge to swallow the saliva you just became alarmingly aware of. “you don’t have to thank me now..” he started, looking you up and down in such a way that made your cheeks grow warmer. “you can just pay me back later.”
just then, the doors unlocked, and player 124 was more than happy to swing it open and head back to his little group, not without looking back at you with a sly wink. you stayed stood in the room for a brief moment, still leaned against the wall, trying to process why your cheeks felt so hot all of a sudden.
oh god, you weren’t… catching feelings for 124, were you?
———
it was lights out when you started thinking about your guys’s brief mingle room interaction. you still couldn’t wrap your mind around what you were feeling, but now you found yourself squeezing your legs together as you thought more and more about player 124. you couldn’t believe this, you didn’t even know this assholes name, and now he’s got you all hot and bothered like this?
you knew what you had to do, and you were not proud of it.
after about 5 solid minutes of convincing the circle-masked guard to allow you access to the bathroom, you quickly secured yourself in a stall. “i can’t believe i’m actually doing this right now.” was all you could think as you pulled your pants around your knees, along with your underwear, and slid your hand between your thighs. you had hoped no one could hear as you began to moan softly, just as your thoughts spiralled about player 124, and the tension between you two in the little mingle room; how much you wished he would have taken you right there, inside that cramped space. you felt yourself approaching the edge when you heard something that made your heart stop.
his voice. his voice?
something inside you prayed to god that somehow your imagination had just been that good, but you heard him again, calling out your number from just beyond the stall door. you were too petrified to say, think, even do anything. but of course, he pulled the door open and there you were, hand between your thighs with the single most horrified expression painted on your face.
“wow, couldn’t even wait for me, huh?” he mocked, his gaze fixated between your legs. “what the fuck are you looking at, pervert?!” you whisper-shouted, so as to not alert the guards. he laughed, and you don’t know how or why but that did something to you, as if your fingers currently on your clit were helping matters at all.
“pervert? i’d say you’re the perverse one, seeing how you were just jacking off in the public bathrooms. are you that much of a slut that you can’t keep your hands outta your pants for more than a night?” his degrading was not easing things, matter of fact it was only turning you on, and you were sure he knew that. you started to pull your hand away, and he shut the two of you inside the confined stall.
“what do you think you’re doing?” 124 asked, now on his knees so you had to meet his gaze. “i was just-“ you started, before being quickly interrupted by him grabbing your now exposed hand. “stopping?” he finished your sentence for you, cocking his head to the side with the same wide eyed faux-curious expression you’re sure you’ve seen him give others in the games. “don’t you dare stop on my account.” you tried to avoid eye contact, suddenly feeling embarrassed. “i can’t do it.. not in front of you.” your response felt totally out of character for yourself, and 124 totally called bullshit then and there. “fine, then i guess i’ll just have to help you then won’t i?” his boldness shouldn’t have shocked you, and you don’t think it did. you barely had tome to wrap your head around the fact that he now had slithered his own hand between your legs before-
“oh my god.” was drawn from your lips as he slid his fingers up your slick folds, brushing against your clit as he rubbed up at down your pussy. “holy shit, i’ve hardly done anything and you’re already soaked.” he exclaimed smuggly, earning an attempted glare from you. “oh please, don’t take all the credit.” you scoffed, using every bit of willpower you could muster to ensure you didn’t moan, god forbid. “i think i can,” he chuckled, continuing what would be the beginning of his assault on your nerves, “seeing as you know you got this fucking wet thinking of me.” when you least expected it, he pushed not one, but two fingers into your cunt. at this point you saw stars, feeling yourself clench around him so soon you felt as though you should be ashamed of yourself, but you didn’t care.
“shit, already so tight for me, huh?” you could tell through 124’s tone than he was totally turned on by this, by how horny he made you. “if i had known you’d be this easy, i would have done this a while ago.” normally you would be completely offended by his words, but when he started circling your clit with his thumb you really couldn’t bring yourself to mind at all. “p-please…i need to..” you could barely get your words out through your moans, you wouldn’t be surprised if he couldn’t understand you. “need ta’ cum, so bad-“
“oh yeah? you need it?” he taunted, only increasing his pace as he pumped his fingers knuckle-deep inside your throbbing pussy. “i don’t think you’ve earned it yet.” he stopped suddenly. you cried out at the abrupt loss of friction as he released his fingers from your firm grip. he took in the sight of how desperate you were as he lowered his pants, ordering you to free up your seat, to which you were shocked you could even stand at this point. “if you need to cum so bad, why don’t you show me that you deserve it.” he grabbed your arm and pulled you over to him. you couldn’t process what situation you were in just now. one minute you were convinced you hated the guy, and now your pussy was inches away from his dick? you can’t say you minded your predicament, you were just terribly shocked.
“why the hesitation? didn’t you say you needed to cum?” the return of the mocking tone was not lost on you, and you could feel yourself begin to shake. not out of fear, but out of pure anticipation. “i’m sorry, i just…” you began, before he grabbed you hips and pulled you down onto his lap, the both of you gasping at the abrupt feeling of pure ecstasy. “holy shit!” you cried out, gripping onto the walls of the stall as 124 began to bounce you on his cock. it’s almost as though he was setting the pace for what he wanted you to do, and you quickly caught on, sliding up and down his dick as his grip on your hips hardened.
“god you’re such a pathetic little whore,” he said through gritted teeth, slapping your ass while you rode him, earning a hearty moan from your lips. “oh, yeah? you like getting slapped like the little cockslut you are?” “y-es! oh fuck, oh fuck.” it was as if you were in a trance, telling him anything he wanted to hear. “yeah? imma need to hear you say it.” he teased, you could still feel him controlling your every move through the grasp he had on your hips. you tell him exactly what he wants. “i..i’m your..” you moan senselessly “your little cockslut-“
“fuck yeah, at least you know what you’re good for..” his words started to get a bit unsteady, maybe it was because of how tight you were clenching on him. “oh shit, are you close already?” he gasped, to which you responded something unintelligible. “fuck, i can barely understand you, babbling like a needy little whore.” you couldn’t take it, the way he made you feel was immeasurable to anything you’ve ever experienced. all you wanted in that moment was player 124, you never wanted him to stop pounding up into you with such tenacity.
with one final squeeze of your cunt, he held your hips down and a hot feeling quickly filled your insides. a slew of profanities were expelled from his lips and you felt your whole body shake. as soon as your breathing both steadied, he motioned you to get off his lap and he pulled his pants back up. you, however, could not possibly muster yourself to stand up at the moment, your legs still vibrating from the wild ride you just experienced.
“like i said,” he started, “if i had known you’d have been this easy.. woulda fucked you a lot sooner.” he turned and left the restroom, and you stayed slumped against the wall. now you could say one thing was for sure..
you definitely tolerated player 124.

...
~takes place during the second night~
"we should all take turns keeping watch over the group" player 456 urged as the warning for lights out echoed throughout the room, the rest of the group silently agreeing- trusting the man who claimed to have been in one of the previous games, leaving as the sole survivor. you were, as were many others, reluctant to believe that he had done all of this before, but after his help in the first game and joining his team for the second, you grew to trust him; and the other members of your group. the man that had been assigned your partner for keeping watch was coincidentally a member you were drawn to specifically- at first because he was close to your age, his boyish face making you feel a little less scared and alone in the second game, and eventually you appreciated his outward personality and kindhearted confidence, a stark contrast to the situation you both were in. as you sat together, although trying to protect your group from whatever could happen in the dark room, you felt even safer. "how in the world did you pull that off?" you broke the silence with a whisper, referring to him playing gonggi in the previous game. "my hands were shaking so badly i could barely even hold my ddakji." he laughs, a bit louder than he should have given the people sleeping, but it made you smile. "i told you all i played with my sisters!" he chuckles. "you said you know how to do it yeah," you retorted, stifling a giggle at him being unaware of the compliment. "you didn't tell us you were amazing at it, that was a surprise." he turns away, embarrassed of how deeply your compliment made him grin and scared you'd see him blushing even in the dark. "thank you y/n." he says bashfully as he regains his composure. the silence returns; the reality of where you're both having this conversation threatening to creep back in. his gaze softens as he turns to you again, "you did really well with your ddakji you know, doing it the first try is really impressive, especially given the circumstances." you smile, a toothy grin as not only are you proud of yourself but you appreciate the compliment; especially from him. the kind, authentic way he states how good you did has you unable to find a response. "t-thank you" you say, blushing and still smiling. "it helped that nobody was there, i get nervous when people are watching me." his demeanor changes. he nervously runs his hands through his hair. "I'm sorry if i made you nervous, y/n" he says sincerely. your confusion shows on your face until you realize what he means. "oh no don't worry! i meant the crowd, like how everybody was cheering for the other teams! i didn't want them all to see if i messed up. you watching me helped actually. it made me less nervous." the silence returns; comfortingly. you've forgotten where you are, you've forgotten what would have happened if you'd messed up, all that's on your mind is the man sitting next to you. when you look back he's staring at you. smiling. "thank you for being on my team." you say to him as he turns away, trying to hide how long he was looking at you. you've never seen him speechless before. "if we work together nothing can stand in our way." he said to you just as he said to jung bae before the game. "i am truly honored you feel that way." you half-joke. "what are your plans for tomorrow?" you ask as if youre speaking to him in a normal situation. "oh wait im sorry!" you laugh. "well i bet they're the same as mine then!" you joke about your forgetfulness as well as making light of where you find yourself. like hes done for you, he also had forgotten the events of the day and what followed tomorrow. the two of you talking made him feel as though he was living a good, normal day. it was greatly appreciated by him, your bubbly nature being a moment of solace.
a/n if this is buns at all please lmk what i can do better!!! ⋆。‧˚ʚ🍓ɞ˚‧。⋆

Mafia lando smut where reader was mad at him from an argument the other day, so she spends heaps of money on his bank account. He doesn’t find out till the bank calls to make sure it wasn’t fraud. And he punishes her
Stress Shopping
Summary: After a heated argument, you storm off on a stress-shopping spree with Lando's card, prompting a call from his bank, but the fight ends in heartfelt apologies and a reminder of his love for you.
Genre: Mafia!Lando, angst, fluff
TW: arguing, spending way too much money
A/N: loved the idea but I changed it a little! Hope you don’t mind! English is not my first language. I hope you enjoy it though! Requests are open and welcome!
Masterlist
The sound of the door slamming reverberates through the mansion, shaking the antique fixtures on the walls. You stomp into the grand foyer, your heels clicking sharply against the marble floors, your anger palpable in the air. Lando's sharp voice follows you, his British accent more clipped than usual.
"Don't you dare walk away from me, love!" he barks, his footsteps quick behind yours.
You spin on your heel to face him, eyes blazing with fury. "What do you want me to do, Lando? Stand there and listen while you talk to me like I’m one of your employees? Like I’m beneath you?"
His jaw tightens, the muscles working as he clenches his teeth. He’s wearing that infuriatingly expensive suit you helped him pick out, and right now, you’d love nothing more than to rip it off him—not in the fun way. "I don’t treat you like my employees," he growls. "But I am in charge, and you seem to forget that sometimes."
You laugh bitterly, crossing your arms. "Oh, how could I forget? You love reminding me every chance you get."
Lando rakes a hand through his perfectly styled hair, messing it up slightly. Normally, the sight would make your heart soften, but right now, it only fuels your fire. "You’re being unreasonable," he snaps. "We had an agreement—"
"No, you had an agreement!" you interrupt, your voice rising. "I never agreed to this ridiculous, controlling nonsense, Lando."
His amber eyes flash dangerously. "Watch it," he warns, his voice low now, like a storm about to break. "You’re pushing me, and you know I don’t like being pushed."
But you’re too far gone to care. "And I don’t like being treated like some trophy wife who needs to follow orders. I’m done with this conversation."
Without waiting for his response, you grab your purse from the console table and march toward the front door. His voice chases after you. "Where are you going?"
"Out," you snap. "Don’t wait up."
Before he can stop you, you’re out the door, the evening air cool against your flushed skin.
The mall is your sanctuary. Under the glow of bright lights and the hum of happy chatter, you lose yourself in racks of designer clothing, rows of shoes, and glass cases of sparkling jewelry. Lando's black card burns a comforting weight in your purse, and tonight, you intend to make full use of it.
You start at Chanel, swiping the card for a pair of heels and a matching bag without so much as glancing at the price tag. Next is Cartier, where a sleek watch catches your eye. After that, you make your way to Dior, where a silk gown feels like the perfect antidote to your frustration.
Each purchase soothes the ache in your chest, replacing anger with satisfaction. By the time you leave the mall, your arms are laden with bags, and the backseat of your car is filled to the brim with boxes and tissue paper.
But your phone buzzes just as you’re pulling out of the parking lot. You glance at the screen and see Lando’s name flashing. You don’t answer.
Back at the mansion, Lando is pacing his study, his phone pressed to his ear. The man on the other end clears his throat nervously before speaking. "Mr. Norris, this is Daniel from Barclays. We’ve noticed some unusual activity on your account and wanted to confirm if your card has been compromised."
Lando pinches the bridge of his nose, exhaling sharply. "What kind of activity?" he asks, though he already knows the answer.
"A series of high-value transactions," Daniel replies. "Chanel, Cartier, Dior... altogether totaling a little over seventy thousand pounds. Should we freeze the card?"
Lando smirks despite himself, shaking his head. "No, Daniel," he says, his tone resigned. "It’s just my wife... throwing a tantrum."
There’s a brief silence on the other end. "Ah," Daniel says finally, clearly unsure how to respond. "Very well, sir. Shall we flag the transactions as authorized?"
"Yes," Lando says. "And don’t call again unless it’s life or death."
You return home hours later, your anger dulled by exhaustion and the satisfying sight of your new purchases. You push open the door to the mansion, your arms laden with bags, only to find Lando waiting for you in the foyer. He leans against the staircase, his arms crossed over his chest, his sharp features unreadable.
"Have fun?" he asks, his voice deceptively calm.
You ignore him, stepping past him with your head held high. But before you can make it far, he grabs your wrist, stopping you in your tracks. His grip is firm but not painful, his thumb brushing against your skin.
"Don’t ignore me," he says softly, dangerously.
You whirl around to face him, the fire in your eyes reigniting. "What do you want, Lando? To scold me for spending your money? Go aheadI’m sure you’ve got plenty of lectures lined up."
He doesn’t rise to the bait, his gaze steady on yours. "It’s not about the money," he says. "You know that."
"Then what is it about?" you demand. "Because I’m tired of fighting with you over every little thing."
His jaw tightens, and for a moment, he says nothing. Then, finally, he speaks. "It’s about us," he says. "About you running off every time we argue instead of dealing with it. You think throwing my money around is going to make things better?"
"It made me feel better," you snap, yanking your wrist out of his grip.
"Fine," he says, his voice cold now. "If that’s what you want—things, clothes, jewelry—then take it all. But don’t pretend it’s going to fix what’s wrong between us."
His words hit harder than you’d like to admit. You stare at him, your chest heaving with the effort of holding back tears. "Maybe if you treated me like your wife instead of your possession, we wouldn’t have these problems," you say quietly.
Something flickers in his eyes—guilt, maybe. But he doesn’t respond, and you don’t wait for him to. You turn on your heel and head upstairs, leaving him standing alone in the foyer.
Hours later, you’re sitting in the walk-in closet, surrounded by your purchases. The excitement you felt earlier has faded, leaving behind a hollow ache. You sigh, running your fingers over the soft fabric of the Dior gown, wondering if you went too far.
A knock at the door startles you, and before you can respond, Lando steps inside. He looks tired, his tie loosened and his hair disheveled. In his hands, he’s holding a small box tied with a black ribbon.
"I brought you something," he says, his voice soft.
You raise an eyebrow. "More things? Haven’t I spent enough of your money today?"
He ignores your sarcasm, setting the box down on the bench beside you. "Open it," he says.
Curious despite yourself, you untie the ribbon and lift the lid. Inside is a delicate necklace, a simple gold chain with a tiny heart-shaped pendant. It’s nothing like the flashy pieces you bought earlier, but somehow, it feels more special.
"It’s not to bribe you," he says quickly, as if reading your mind. "I just... I wanted to remind you that I don’t care about the money or the fights. I care about you.“
You look up at him, your heart softening. "You have a funny way of showing it," you say, though your tone lacks its earlier bite.
He kneels in front of you, his hands resting on your knees. "I know," he admits. "I’m not perfect, and I don’t always know how to handle you when you’re upset. But I’m trying, love. I promise I’m trying."
For a long moment, you say nothing, letting his words sink in. Then, finally, you reach out and cup his cheek, your thumb brushing against his stubble. "I’m sorry too," you say. "I shouldn’t have stormed off like that. It wasn’t fair to either of us."
He leans into your touch, closing his eyes briefly. "So... we’re okay?" he asks, his voice tentative.
You smile softly. "We’re okay."
The next morning, you wake up to find Lando already dressed, his tie perfectly knotted and his usual confidence back in place. He leans over to kiss your forehead, his lips lingering against your skin.
"Breakfast is ready downstairs," he says. "And I told the bank not to call me again if you go on another shopping spree."
You laugh, pulling the covers over your head. "Good. Because I might need a few more things."
He chuckles, his hand brushing against your hair. "Just try not to spend the GDP of a small country next time, yeah?"
You peek out from under the covers, grinning. "No promises."
And for the first time in days, everything feels right again.
Thank you for reading!

Characters: escort!Ransom Drysdale, Curtis Everett
Note: yeah, I couldn’t resist.
As per usual, I humbly request your thoughts! Reblogs are always appreciated and welcomed, not only do I see them easier but it lets other people see my work. Thanks to everyone who reads this one and thank you for all your energy.<3
Love you all like Tony loves himself. Take care. 💖
'Morning, sunshine.'
The sarcasm burns into every letter. You stick your tongue out and type your reply. You lay in the dim of your drawn curtains, still half-nestled in your bed.
'Morning, sparky.'
Curtis' response makes you giggle. 'Sparky?'
No emojis. He's not the type. You laze despite the minutes ticking by. Your thumbs flick over the digital keys.
'Give it but can't take it.'
The next bubble has you breathless; 'oh I'm more than willing to give'. Oh, okay. You don't know how to answer that. You send a wink emoticon then prompty groan at your own cluelessness.
You lock the screen and sit up. Is this what life is? Torturous obligation and cringey efforts to be normal. You want to send a message telling Curtis it's okay if he just gives up. You're a mess.
You drag yourself out of your room. As you try to empty the reusable filter for the coffee grounds, you spill it everwhere. You need to start emptying it after use. Another missed checkbox.
Your phone buzzes again. Great. You're sure it's just him calling you lame. You snatch the cell and go to swipe away the message but it isn't Curtis.
WhatsApp.
Hm. Maybe another recruiter cold messaging?
You tap with your thumb, resolved to finally delete the app and wipe the slate clean. You just need to forget that mistake. If you can.
The message waiting for you doesn’t bode well.
‘Feeling thirsty yet?’
You stare at it. You can’t be sure it’s Hugh. The number isn’t the same, you would recognise the last few digits at least. The coffee machine spits out the last few droplets. You turn to grab your cup, the phone buzzing in your hand.
You read with dread, ‘ah come on, just one more go.’
It has to be him. Who else could it be? What else could they be referring to?
A video pops up and plays automatically. You click it to make it bigger as you try to make out what’s going on. Your heart drops and your phone nearly does too. You stare at the recording of yourself on the bed, undressing as you huddle near the top of the hotel bed.
A cold splash sends a chill through you. You remember him turning on the speaker. He must have connected his phone but then you didn’t see what he did with it after that. You didn’t think to pay attention to that, you were too swept up in your own catastrophe.
‘Let’s talk.’
Those two words spike your panic. What did you do? You’re so stupid and yet how are you surprised? Nothing ever goes right. How dare you even try to believe things could get better? That maybe Curtis could be something more than a disappointment.
Loser. Loser. Loser!
You want to bang your head on the counter. You want to scream. You want to crumple into a heap in cry.
You don’t do anything of that. You simply key into the screen; ‘why?’
He sends a laughing emoji. Then a real message. ‘That’s what we’re going to talk about.’
Your eyes glaze with tears and you shake your head. He’s taunting you. Toying with you. This is all just an ego stroke for some narcissist that gets off on himself. Why else would he do what he does? Well, who are you to judge? You paid for his services.
‘That cafe near your office. 12:30.’
You toss the phone on the counter like it’s acid. What the hell? How does he know where you work? How does he know there’s a cafe there? No, no, no. How does he know anything about you? Why does he care?
You pace around hectically. You can’t stay still. You scratch your skin as if you might peel it off. An unbearable itch burns through you. You make a noise somewhere between a sob and a wretch.
You reel in your doom, just enough to retrieve the cell from the floor. You shakily send a thumbs up. That’s all you can manage. Not a good job, just a confirmation. You’ll be there because you have no other choice.
⛅
Your morning is frantic. You have a thousand things to do at once. The phone calls are endless and Shania double-booked another reservation. Don’t you always get the happy job of informing the guests they have to rebook. Fun, fun, fun.
The demanding customers are the least of your problems. Work at the Travel Agency can be downright agony but right now you prefer it to the alternative. It’s the rare instance where you curse the clock for going too fast.
Usually, a trip down to the cafe is your relief. An indulgence on an especially stressful day. That day is more nerve-wracking than any but you don’t think a dose of caffeine would make it any better. You’re already rattling through to your bones.
You reluctantly leave your desk. Your phone is firmly in your purse, where it’s been all day. You don’t want to look at it, even if it’s Curtis making it buzz. You just want to shut down.
You take the stairs. You don’t want to be around other people though you realise the cafe will be busy with the lunchtime rush. You wonder if that’s deliberate. You get to the ground floor and make your way outside.
You stop before the cafe. You peer along the tinted windows and your eyes stop on the singular familiar figure. There he is. Hugh. Somehow, he looks different than that night. How, you can’t say. He’s wearing a similar swear, a light robin’s egg blue, luxurious even. The sweater can’t be cheap given the small logo embroidered on one side of the chest.
You enter and skip the line. You go straight to the table and stop behind the chair opposite...him. You cross your arms and glare at him. Hugh casually lifts his chin and smiles up at you. Your forehead wrinkles in disgust.
“You look wound tight,” he sits up completely, the last consonant sharp. “Need help with that?”
Your nostrils flare and you drag out the chair. You drop into the seat and push your elbows into the table. You lean across it and snarl, “what do you want?”
He snorts, “I like that about. Always straight to the point... even when you have no idea what you’re doing.”
Your cheeks tingle with heat and you look away. You push your shoulders back and shift in discomfort. Even as the bruises fade, if you think hard enough, you can feel that night still.
“That boyfriend know about me yet?” He sips from the tall porcelain cup in front of him. You shake your head and put your eyes to the table.
“Aw, well, I can’t blame you,” he clinks the cup down. “He wouldn’t be able to handle the competition. Would he?”
“I have to get back to work so whatever you want, just say it.”
He chortles again and hums, “I said I wanna talk. We’re talking. Isn’t it nice?”
“I don’t have money if that’s what you’re getting at--”
“Money? Hm, that’s real funny. Oh, you think... you think I’m desperate? I wanted some Balenciaga.” He flicks a finger up and down the mug handle. “Thanks for that, by the way.”
You huff and shake your head, “and it’s better that you get off on embarrassing me? Well, I hope you’re enjoying it because you’ve done a great job.”
You peek up at him and his grin slants. He leans an elbow on the table as he sits forward. His eyes crinkle as he considers you.
“It’s not about money, not even about a joke,” he says. “It’s the way you squeezed me. The way you whined for me,” his voice lowers to a sultry rasp. “The way you drained me fucking dry. You know how many princesses I’ve had on my dick and they just lay there and--” He makes a motion with his hand, “dead fish.”
You frown, “you’re gross.”
“I’m secure in myself,” he argues. “Real rich of you to act like you didn’t like it when you came all over my fucking fingers. Didn’t even take much.”
You rub your neck and stare out the window. Your stomach is boiling. You just want him to get his kicks and go.
“It’s how I know you didn’t lie. About being a virgin, or whatever,” he says. “You know, you could’ve sold that yourself but I guess you were having some trouble finding a buyer--”
“My lunch is almost over,” you grit out. “Get to it, Hugh.”
He laughs louder than before. He scoops up his cup and drains it. “You’re so funny. Really. You make me laugh.” You glower and his smirks widens. “Alright, alright. Pretty simple, you probably already know what I want. Just one more time. I just need to feel it again. That grip--” He makes a fist and you scoff.
“I told you I’m not interested--”
“No? Not interested at all in your porn debut,” he taps his phone and you reach across to swat his hand back.
“Why did you do that?” You hiss.
“Woah, I gotta be safe. I record in case something goes wrong,” he pushes your hand away. “Lucky me, it went so fucking right. You know how many times I’ve watched it?”
You groan and rest your head in your hands. You’re fucked. Utterly and totally. Likely literally.
“Tonight,” he says. “Tell the goth boy you’re doing overtime.”
You sit back and stare at him. Your chest pits and your eyes glimmer. It shouldn’t hurt so much but it does. You don’t want to lose Curtis, not yet.
This is exactly why you didn’t want to get attached.
☕
You don't text Curtis. You can't bring yourself to do it. You just leave him hanging. He'll probably assume your busy. You're sure he has something better to do.
Just like most things in your life, it's over before it begins. Why did you let yourself believe it could be anything? After tonight, it definitely won't be.
That time is different. You don't primp yourself or preen over whether you look good. Instead, you toss all those things you bought to do yourself up the first time in the trash. Everything but the condoms.
You pace restlessly around your apartment. That's another violation. You offered another hotel. 'Your place.' The argument was short. Fuck.
He can't come here. He can't do this. You can't do this. Not again.
Your legs wobble and you teeter to the couch. You sit down and fold over your knees. You can feel the dull pain already. Back in that room, bawling as he pumps into you, scraping out your guts.
You're going to be sick!
You lurch up and run to the bathroom. You spew into the toilet and pant through the acidic saliva left in your mouth. You shut the lid and flush.
You should leave the residue in your mouth. It might repulse Hugh enough to get rid of him. Yet if you don't rinse out the acidic flavour, you'll just hurl again.
You brush your teeth slowly then look at yourself in the mirror. You look scared. You are but you look utterly terrified. Why is this happening to you?
You're not stupid enough to think you're special. No, you're weak. He's a shark and he smelled blood in the water. He set you up for this. You were too nervous, too desperate, and too stupid to see through his ploy.
Your phone buzzes. You ignore it, even as it thrums against the table noisily. If it's Curtis, you might just cry.
The door buzzer chirps. Right. You push away from the sink and shudder.
Your feet hit the floor clumsily and you walk as if you're wadding through thick mud. You hit the button as your stomach churns again. His voice adds to the broil of sickness.
"Baby, I'm here."
You press the button down without as response. You stagger away and linger by the door. You hear him coming down the hall. You open the door at the first knock.
"Someone's eager," he snickers.
You don't say a word. You step back. He enters and whistles.
"Not bad. Cozy," he says. "Bouta get real cozy, huh?"
You shut the door and lock it. He turns and examines the walls. You stare at him.
"Jeez, baby, you got a knife or something? Looking like you're about to crack up over there," he taunts.
That might have been a good idea if you weren't nervous of stabbing yourself in an attempt. Besides, he's a lot stronger. You remember how thick his muscle was, how easily he ignored your pleas.
"Hospitable too," he sniffs and slips off his velvet loafers. "Whatcha got going on?" He struts further into the apartment. "Wine? Beer?"
He goes to fridge and pops it open. You loom like a shadow against the wall as you tiptoe after him. He sucks his teeth as he examines the contents on the racks.
"Ugh, boring," he remarks.
"Don't drink," you croak.
"You didn't seem to mind the wine," he shuts the fridge without his bounty. "Fuck, well, it'll be good. You'll like it better sober. Although I do prefer a sloppy fuck."
You grimace. He makes no pretense as he continues his exploration. He strides past the living room and head through your bedroom door.
"No cute jammies tonight, huh?" He calls through.
You waft into the doorway like a ghost. That's what you are. You are hollowed out. You resign yourself, surrender yourself to ruin. It's all over.
Goodbye, Curtis.
"Looks like you don't got much in mind but don't worry, baby, I planned ahead," he faces you with a wink. "Wanna try something new?"
No. You don’t want to do any of this. You glower.
“Shit, baby, you keep looking at me like that and I’m going to have to wipe that look off your face... along with something else,” he grabs his crotch and growls. “Hard already, you know? Just thinking about what I’m about to do.”
Your lip curls as disgust crawls up your back. “Just get it over with,” you murmur.
“Trying,” his eyes flash dangerously. The retort makes you think of Curtis but he never spoke to you so harshly.
You step out of the doorway before you can fall apart. Your breath clouds in your chest until it feels like someone’s standing on you. You let it out slowly as plays with the black cat figuring on your bookshelf. He scoffs, unimpressed.
“So,” he faces you and tugs at the hem of his sweater, inching it up, “why are your clothes still on?”
You glance away angrily. “Your phone goes in the drawer,” you point to the night stand.
“Pfft, come on. I already got the good shots. What’s another dirty movie, baby? I gotta say, you look good on film--”
“Put it in the drawer,” you insist.
“Damn, don’t gotta be so mean, baby.” He snickers and wiggles his phone at you then puts it in the night stand.
“I’m not your joke, so stop laughing at me.”
“Lighten up. I’m not laughing at you, baby. I just...” He pauses as he pulls his sweater over his head. He wears a thin white tank underneath, his reddish chest hair peeking out the top. “How many women do you think hold my attention once I’ve been in ‘em? Let’s just say, we both had our first that night.”
“Don’t try to flatter me,” you snip.
“Girl,” he squares his shoulder and the humour flickers from his expression, “get your clothes off.”
Your mouth twitches. You take a breath and turn away. You look down at the wrinkled blouse you wore to work. You’re sure he’s full of hot air, he’s just mocking you, especially since he’s wearing Calvin Klein and you’re in Walmart clearance.
You unbutton it as you hear his clothing rustle softly. A shiver speckles across your back as you throw it in your hamper. Your pants go just as easily as you push down the elastic waistband. Another wave of nausea threatens but you keep it down.
You unhook your bra as your bed squeaks. You keep your eyes down and step out of your panties. You pause as you dangle them over the basket. You blink away the heat in your eyes. Why did you run away from Curtis all those times? Why does it have to be Hugh?
You spin and march over to him. He sits on the end of the bed, naked, knees wide. You reach for him, intent to be done with him, but he catches your hands and holds them away from him.
“Uh uh, you really think it’s going to be that easy,” he sneers. “Oh, baby, I didn’t get any of that mouth.”
Your lip quivers and your nose scrunches, “what?”
“Don’t worry, it’s fun, baby. I can train you up for the sad boy,” he chuckles.
“Shut up,” you twist away from him. “Don’t talk about him.”
“Aw, what’sa matter? He don’t make you wet like I do, huh?”
You stomp away and snatch the box of condoms from behind your dresser. You take one and bring it to him. He snorts.
“You like the taste of rubber?”
“Put it on.”
“You think I’m dirty? You saw my test results.”
“I don’t care,” you shove it into his chest.
“Be a lot nicer if you tasted the real thing,” he huffs.
You cross your arms and wait. He rolls his eyes and peels the wrapper open. He pinches the thick ring then presses the rubber to his tip.
“Well, get on your knees. You’re the one so anxious to get this done with. Is the boy toy on his way? Scared he’ll catch—woah!”
He lets go of himself and the condom rolls up just to his tip. He catches your hand before you can make contact with his cheek. “I told you not to talk about him.”
“I like this zest,” He stands and raises your arms above you, “but you won’t like mine.”
He spins you and pushes you onto the bed. You fall heavily and bounce, your teeth snapping down on your tongue. You whimper as he slides his fingers around his dick, pushing the rubber to his base. He climbs up on his knees, straddling you as he advances up your body.
You push on his thighs as he gets higher. Once more, he has your wrists. He clasps them against the mattress, locking them above your head. You flail your legs and he laughs again. His other hand goes to his length and he strokes himself as he presses the lubed condom to your lips.
“Open up for daddy,” he jeers and pushes until he meets your teeth. “I feel the hint of a nip and I’ll skip the kitty and go straight for the peach. Understand that, baby girl?”
Your eyes widen as your bottom puckers. Your fear radiates from your gaze and draws another pleased hum from him. You open your mouth and close your eyes, gagging as the rubber smears lube across your tongue.
He angles as he dips down, touching your reflex as he invades your throat. You choke and spasm under him as he wiggles his hips, testing your limits. You can’t breathe.
He rears and you heave in before he blocks your airway again. He groans and tilts again. Thrusting in and out as you writhe. Tears crest along the brims of your eyes and your saliva smears around your mouth. Each time, he pushes a little further.
“Fuck, baby, how is it just as good as the pussy?” He purrs as he clutches your hair, rocking over you as the smell of the condom adds to your revulsion.
He pumps into you until you’re raw with agony. He lets go of your hands and you push on his hips, begging for him to stop. He doesn’t care. He just keeps going. He quakes and groan, grasping the blankets around your head as he fucks you your head into the bed.
“Gahhh,” he pulls out of you so quickly you gag.
You cover your mouth as he bounces over you. He rolls the condom off and keeps stroking himself. You’re surprised as he spurts his cum onto you, the slimy mess string over your knuckles and onto your nose and cheeks. You put your hand out to shield yourself as he grunts and sits back on his heels.
“The hell?” You gasp.
“I couldn’t fucking hold it, woulda split the damn thing in half,” he puffs as he cups his balls. “Speaking of splitting things in half--”
You lift yourself on your elbows, trying to drag yourself out from under him. He snags you around your ribs and pushes you flat. “Where are you going?”
“You just--”
“Finished? No, that’s round one,” he snickers. “You don’t think I got a few tricks? I mean, a blue pill keeps me in business.”
You curl your lip again and he laughs even louder. You glance up at the night table at the box of condoms. He sighs.
“Fucking tight ass,” he hisses. “Want me to see if that’s literal?” You look at him and bare your teeth. He waves you off and climbs off you to grab the box. “Whatever. At least you had the good sense to get good ones.”
You slowly sit up and wipe your face. He leans on one knee and slides on another condom. He quivers and exhales through his nose. He grabs your shoulder and nudges you.
“Wouldn’t mind it from the back,” he says.
You resist and he snarls, “relax. If I go through the back door, I might not get it out with you being so uptight.” He pinches your nipple cruelly. “Go on, show Ransom that booty.” You tilt your head curiously. Ransom? His eyes dart away, “you gonna listen to daddy or you want some spankings while I’m back there?”
You move reluctantly. You roll over and he grabs your hips, guiding your ass higher as he jostles behind you. He drags his hands around your ass and down your thighs, then up again. He smacks you harshly so you feel the jiggle. You yelp and he guffaws.
“Oh, fuck, should flipped you over the first time.” He gropes your ass and rubs himself against you.
Your insides curdle. You hide in yourself. You try not to think about reality. Not about the desecration of your home, your safe space, of the place you made all your own. Nor the same being done to your body. To your relationship.
Whatever, it was never going to last.
He glides down between your cheeks, lingering as if considering it. You twitch and he snorts. He trails further down and presses against your cunt. He groans as he stretches you slowly. It isn’t easier. Not better. Not like they say.
No, they say the first time is the worst. No, this is. This is torture. This is hell.
He leans into you, grunting as you squeeze him, as your body resists his intrusion. He bends over you, his torso flush to your back, and thrusts. He impales you complete and you cry out. You push against him as your body racks in agony.
He pumps again and you squeal louder. Fuck. Your fingers curl until your knuckles hurt. You hang your head and shudder. He rocks into you, playing with your hair as he nuzzles your nape. He puffs into your skin and it sends a roil of disgust through you.
You sink down until your face is in the blankets. You crush your arms beneath you and drone into the bed. He hooks his arm under you to keep your ass up, rutting faster and faster. Your flesh claps like thunder, a never-ending cacophony.
He growls and brings a hand under your chin, then his other. You wriggle as he squeezes your face and hooks his fingers in your mouth, pulling taught your lips. You arch your back and whine as he keeps his callous pace.
You grab onto his arms as the strain in your lips feels as if it might tear. He lifts your head and you deepen the curve in your back, trying to balance him at both ends. His nose tickles the back of your ear.
“Yeah, baby, squeeze me just like that. Ugh, that pussy knows what it wants better than you do,” he taunts. “Ugh, you latched on tight.”
You can’t speak, you can’t shake your head, you can’t deny him in any way.
“You feel so good,” he snarls. “The way you go me... fuck I feel it in my gut... I’m gonna...”
He slides his hands from your mouth and wraps his arms around you instead; one at your neck, the other around your middle. He pulls you up with him and pounds relentlessly. The bed rocks furiously beneath you as your addled voice gurgles from your throat. The headboard knocks into the wall in a frenetic tempo.
“Yeah, so good,” he rasps between deep breaths. “So good. Never... think I’d let you go, huh?”
You hang from his embrace. Defeated. You did this to yourself. So take it.

Hiii!! I was hoping if you could do an Angst abt Pro!katsuki who in one fight is against Villain!reader who was Katsukis friend/crush (u can choose!!) back in UA but Reader randomly stopped attending at school and this was their first encounter after reader left.
angst SCARES me, but this was fun!! im sorry if it took so long oml, i didn't know how to approach this at first because i am NOT a PURE angst writer, but i hope i did your request justice 💜💜
the alleyway was quiet, save for the distant echoes of sirens and the faint hum of the city. pro hero dynamight, katsuki bakugou, stood with fists clenched, his heart pounding in a way that had nothing to do with adrenaline from chasing someone.
before him stood a figure from his past—a person he never thought he'd see again, let alone face in such a casual yet tense setting. the villain before him wasn’t just any enemy. it was you.
you, who had disappeared from ua without a trace, leaving behind questions and a void that katsuki could never quite fill. back then, he'd brushed off his feelings, masking them behind his usual bravado.
but now, seeing you here, standing against him as an enemy, he can't believe that he's finally found you after all these years.
"so you decided to finally show your face after these years. what the fuck happened? where have you been?"
all katsuki felt was anger and frustration. he was pissed at you for leaving without a word and pissed at himself for not finding you. before he could see you like this.
"it's been a long time, huh?" you say with a dry chuckle. "i'm glad that you still remember me though, dynamight."
katsuki scoffs. "of course i remember you, idiot! you just decided to leave without a word, how could i forget you when you just vanished?"
you give a small scoff at hearing katsuki's comment, feeling the anger and tension slowly building. you cross your arms over your chest, not looking away from him.
"oh, so now you give a damn about me leaving. didn't think you'd care enough to even wonder why I just disappeared and left."
katsuki's eyes narrow at your response. he didn't like that you were acting all nonchalant about everything. as if this whole interaction didn't matter.
he takes a few steps forward, not taking his eyes off of you. he hadn't seen you in so long, he actually couldn't believe that you were right infront of him.
"don't give me that crap! you just disappearing like that without a word or any explanation, what the hell was i supposed to think?!"
you feel annoyed and somewhat defensive at Katsuki's reaction. You couldn't stand the fact that he was acting like he cared so much about you when you know he didn't care about you at all back then.
"oh please, you never even thought about me back then. you were too wrapped up in your own ego to even notice that i was gone. let's not play this little game where you pretend that you actually cared."
it was like a cold bucket of water had been splashed onto his face. katsuki clenched his teeth at your words, feeling the anger bubble up in him.
"believe it or not, dumbass, i care about what happened to you! more than you'd ever know... every damn day i thought about you, wondering if you were okay. i've never, ever stopped thinking about you."
you had no idea how much he cared about you, how much he even thought about you. hearing katsuki's confession hits you like a pile of bricks. you had always had feelings for him back then too, but you never had the courage to confess your feelings. he just couldn't keep his feelings bottled up anymore.
"damn it, i've always cared about you, idiot. i wanted to tell you everything back then, but i never got the chance to.
"hell, i even had dreams about you... dreams where i told you how i fuckin' felt... but before i could say anything, you just... vanished."
shock and disbelief flood you as you process katsuki's confession. you couldn't believe that after all this time, he was telling you how he felt. however,
when you remember the circumstances, a pang of regret hits you as you shake your head.
"goddamn it... why are you telling me this now? we can't just act upon our feelings now, not after all i've done."
"i don't care about that... my feelings for you haven't changed. just tell me what happened. why did you disappear? what happened?"
you let out another dry chuckle at Katsuki's determination. you shake your head with a sad smile on your face.
"it's kind of funny, you know. back then, i would've been over the moon to hear you say those things to me. if you had said that you had feelings for me... i would've been the happiest damn person in the world."
you take a deep breath, looking down at the ground.
"before i left school... i was going through a really rough time. i didn't know where i was going to go or what i was going to do. i... couldn't handle it. then i got mixed up with the wrong kind of people who treated me right and.. i'm here now."
katsuki's anger and frustration start to fade, replaced with a mixture of sadness and guilt.
"why... why didn't you reach out to me? to any of us? after all we've been through, we would've helped you. we could've been there for you."
you smile humorlessly, a mix of pain and shame in your eyes.
"you don't get it. i didn't want to be a burden. i didn't want to put my problems on you guys when had your own lives to worry about. i didn't want to add to that."
katsuki couldn't believe what he was hearing. He never thought that you would've felt like that, but... he wished that he had known what you were going through.
"we could've helped you through everything, damn it. we cared about you... i cared about you..."
you look at katsuki and feel a pang of sadness and despair. you couldn't believe that after all this time, he reciprocated your feelings. but it was too late. tou were too far gone to turn back now.
"i can't just leave and expect everything to go back to the way it was. there's no changing it."
"you can still change," katsuki argues, the hope in his eyes glowing with desperation. "you can still come back."
you shake your head feverishly, head too overwhelmed with thoughts to think straight. "i-i can't. its too late for that."
katsuki watches as you prepare to leave, helplessness coursing through him. he couldn't just let you go. not when he was finally seeing you again after all these years. he couldn't just lose you again.
"no... don't leave. please. don't just... walk out of my life again..."
"katsuki?"
his head snaps up to look at you.
"yes? what is it?"
you smile sadly at him.
"in another life, i would've really liked... just doing laundry and taxes with you."

hi! may i request shidou ryusei with the 🍓 and🍭 <33
ofc!
a shidou ryusei strawberry lollipop :)
જ⁀♡⊹。° what am i to do ?
♡ a/n — for my more than a married couple event :)
♡ content — shidou ryusei x gn! reader, gn! reader, reader has strong feelings for shidou, set in high school, unrequited love :)
♡ synopsis — shidou ryusei was like a hurricane of chaos, and you weren't sure your feelings would survive the hit.
You should’ve known something was up when Shidou Ryusei's name appeared next to yours on the list of marriage simulation partners.
The universe had a cruel sense of humor, pairing you with the one person you’d spent the past few years trying not to fall for.
But it was Shidou—a human hurricane, all sharp smiles and chaotic energy. You’d been swept up in his orbit long before this simulation ever began, even though you knew better.
For someone like him, love wasn’t a slow burn. It was an explosion. And you were terrified of being caught in the aftermath.
The first day in the shared apartment was like stepping into a storm.
“Yo, partner,” Shidou drawled, leaning casually against the doorframe with a cocky grin. “You ready to play house, or what?”
You rolled your eyes, dragging your suitcase inside. “It’s only for a week, Shidou. Try not to get too comfortable.”
“Oh, I’m plenty comfortable already,” he shot back, tossing his duffel bag onto the couch. “The real question is—are you ready for this?”
He gestured vaguely between the two of you, a wicked glint in his eye.
You didn’t dignify that with a response.
Living with Shidou was...an experience.
He had no concept of personal space, always lounging too close or draping an arm around your shoulders like it was the most natural thing in the world.
“Relax,” he’d say whenever you stiffened under his touch. “You act like I bite or something.”
You knew better than to entertain him with a response.
But it wasn’t just the teasing.
It was the quiet moments, too—the rare glimpses of vulnerability that he never let anyone else see.
Like when he’d stay up late after dinner, staring at the city lights through the window, lost in thought. Or when he’d talk about his dream of being the best striker in the world, his voice softer than usual.
Those moments were what made it so hard to keep your feelings in check.
One evening, the two of you were tasked with planning a mock anniversary dinner for the simulation.
Shidou, naturally, insisted on making it “interesting.”
“C’mon,” he said, dragging you into the kitchen. “Let’s cook something fancy. How hard can it be?”
As it turned out, it was very hard.
An hour later, the kitchen was a disaster zone, and Shidou was laughing so hard he could barely stand.
“Okay, okay,” he said between gasps. “So maybe cooking isn’t my thing.”
You couldn’t help but laugh, too, despite the mess.
In moments like this, it was easy to forget that this wasn’t real—that none of this meant anything to him.
As the weeks went on, you found yourself getting more and more tangled in Shidou’s web.
Every playful remark, every fleeting touch—it all felt like something more than it was.
And you hated yourself for it.
Because no matter how much you wanted to believe otherwise, you knew that Shidou wasn’t capable of the kind of love you were looking for.
The breaking point came during one of the program’s mandatory relationship check-ins.
The counselor asked the two of you to describe what you’d learned about each other during the simulation.
You hesitated, unsure of what to say.
But Shidou, as always, didn’t hold back.
“I’ve learned that you’re way too serious,” he said with a grin. “But that’s okay. Someone’s gotta keep me in check, right?”
The room erupted in laughter, and you forced a smile, playing along.
But deep down, his words felt like a slap in the face.
Because while you were falling for him, he was just playing a role.
On the final night of the simulation, the two of you sat on the couch, flipping through the stack of photos from your tasks.
“Not bad,” Shidou said, holding up a picture of the two of you from the anniversary dinner. “We almost look like a real couple.”
“Yeah,” you said quietly, your chest tightening.
He glanced at you, his expression unreadable. “Hey. What’s with the long face? You’re not actually gonna miss me, are you?”
You forced a laugh, brushing it off. “Don’t flatter yourself.”
But the truth was, you didn’t know how to let him go.
As you packed up the next morning, Shidou leaned casually against the doorway, watching you.
“Y’know,” he said, his voice unusually soft, “you’re not half bad at this whole ‘marriage’ thing.”
You looked up at him, your heart aching. “Thanks, I guess.”
For a moment, it felt like he was going to say something else—something important.
But then he smirked, breaking the tension. “Don’t miss me too much, okay? I’ll see you around.”
And just like that, he was gone, leaving you alone with your thoughts.
Weeks later, you saw him on TV, scoring the winning goal for his team.
He grinned into the camera, all sharp edges and uncontainable energy, and you couldn’t help but smile, too.
Because even though he’d never been yours, a part of you would always belong to him.
And maybe—just maybe—that was enough.
he is the SILLIEST BILLY!!
i hope you liked it!
likes, comments, and reblogs are appreciated!

Could I request Himeko and Springfield whose S/O likes making them coffee?
(H:SR/GFL) Himeko and Springfield's S/O making them Coffee
Himeko was under no illusion that most people thought her coffee was...unpalatable, putting it kindly.
And that is to say nothing of her cooking ability.
With all that being said, she is genuinely touched everytime her S/O makes her morning coffee in exactly the way she likes.
Bitter is better after all, and she's glad someone else besides Dan Heng has something nice to say about that style!
(S/O) "Another cup, dear?"
(Himeko) "Please, and thank you.~"
Himeko puts the mug near S/O as they pour more in, with March 7th's and Caelus's gazes trying to avoid meeting either of them, lest they get offered some vile "refreshments".
(S/O) "Sure you guys don't want any? This is a lot for just Himeko and I to dri-"
(Caelus) "I-I drank a lot of juice already, if I have any more, I'd need to go pee."
His response came very quickly at the prospect of trying any of the killer coffee couples' drink.
(March 7th) "...Second that."
(Himeko) "Hm, should I brew it then? You usually seem to drink mine everytime I offer."
(S/O) "Maybe I should make mine more bitter to match yours?"
(March 7th & Caelus's thoughts) Is that even possible?!
Springfield always appreciates another helping hand in the café, especially a human touch to it!
Usually she would brew the coffee to match whoever their customer is, and that varies all the time.
However, it touches her core that S/O would always keep a pot aside, special for her alone.
As soon as she steps in for the day, Springfield can see S/O pouring her a cup, alongside a muffin on a plate.
(S/O) "Morning."
(Springfield) "Did you get something for yourself as well?"
(S/O) "Doing that now."
Springfield smiled at that, waiting to dig into breakfast until S/O sat right beside her, the two enjoying a little bit of quiet before opening up.
Some of the other T-Dolls working in the café would occasionally tease Springfield, being jealous that she had her own spouse already.
Even though they weren't married, the idea made Springfield blush all the same, with a bright smile accompanying her too.
(Springfield) "Thank you as always, S/O. Do you want me to start making coffee for you too?"
(S/O) "No, it's fine! You already make me plenty of muffins, no need to add to it."
(Springfield) "Oh, are you sure?"
S/O chuckled, leaning against her shoulder in the seat.
(S/O) "Considering that I'm running out of space in my fridge to put them in, last thing I need is even more stuff to put up!"
(Springfield) "D-Do I really bake that much?"
(S/O) "...Yeah, it's honestly kind of scary how fast you can crank them out."
(G36's Voice) "I'm astonished we have the supplies to bake them everyday considering how many we sell. And that isn't counting the ones you give away for free."

“touching toes”
rafe cameron social media au
“he’s over more and more, had to give him a whole drawer. to be honest, kinda like seeing his trainers by the door.” — olivia dean, ‘touching toes’.
synopsis: after finishing her fashion studies at college in nyc, y/n moves to outerbanks to live with her grandparents. she worries about the loneliness that comes with being in a new place, knowing only her cousin topper and other relatives… that is until she is acquainted with a certain cameron.
part - 22 | 23 | 24
masterlist
warnings: swearing, slightest mention of sex
you’d been turning the conversation over in your head for hours, trying to predict exactly how it would go. you knew topper wouldn’t take the news well, and while rafe seemed calm, you could feel the nervous edge in the way his fingers tapped on your thigh.
“you sure you don’t want me to handle this?” rafe asked you again, as he pulled into the driveway.
“no,” you said firmly, “it has to come from me: he’ll take it better if it’s from me.”
rafe gave you a skeptical look but didn’t argue.
the door opened almost immediately after rafe knocked, not even giving his hand time to leave the wood. topper’s usual cocky smirk fell the second he saw the two of you standing together. “what the hell is this?” he asked, clearly confused as to why you’d be together, holding a beer in his right hand.
“hey, top,” you said carefully, your voice remained calm as you attempted not to provoke your cousin, “can we come in? we need to talk.”
his eyes narrowed in suspicion, flicking slowly between you and rafe before he stepped aside to let you in. “this better be good,” he muttered, as though this were some big inconvenience to his day, before closing the door behind you.
the three of you settled in the living room — topper sprawled on the couch, you on the armchair to the side of him, and rafe hovering behind you like a silent anchor. the air felt heavy with unspoken words, and you could tell topper was bracing himself for the potential bomb you were about to drop.
“alright,” topper smacked his lips, impatience coursing through him as he sipped his beer. “what’s going on? you two best friends now or something?”
you exchanged a glance with rafe before choosing your next words. “not exactly,” you said slowly, “we’re… well, we’re together— rafe and i. we’ve been seeing each other.”
for a moment, there was silence. then topper let out a laugh — a sharp sound of disbelief. “you’re joking,” he said, looking between you, “tell me you’re joking.”
“i’m not,” you hesitated, your voice remained steady though you were startled by his response.
topper’s laugh cut off abruptly, his jaw tightening. before you knew it, he had rose from his seating position and was heading straight for rafe — blinded by pure rage. taking his thick index finger, topper harshly stabbed rafe’s chest over and over, in between his words, “are you fucking serious? what is this to you, huh? something to just piss me off?”
he was seething, but rafe remained calm, his tone firm and steady, “no, i care about her, top,” he smiled at his own confession, “like really fucking care about her. and i get that it’s hard for you, but this has nothing to do with you.”
topper stood, breathing in and out at a rapid pace, steam rolling off him. rafe continued, “you had no problem going after sarah, so don’t start acting like you have moral high ground here”
but rafe’s words only riled topper up further, “oh, so this is what this is?” topper flashed a grin one could only describe as sinister, “getting back at me for fucking your sister? revenge.”
before rafe could interject topper continued, stepping away from rafe slightly, his finger still pointing in his direction, “you know i always knew you weren’t okay with it. always had a problem with it didn’t you, rafe? you might not have said it… but i knew.”
“not at all—“
“you lying bastard,” topper lunged at rafe, causing you to spring out of your seat in an attempt to prevent the brewing altercation.
you stood in the middle of the two boys. you hands rested firmly on the shoulders of your cousin as you attempted to lessen his anger, rage was still evident on his face — you’d never seen him so angry.
“top, please don’t do this,” you spoke softly.
“he’s out of his mind if he thinks he gets to mess with you,” topper muttered, barely above a whisper.
rafe’s jaw clenched, but his voice didn’t reveal his building irritation, “i’m not messing with her. i— i love her, top.”
you froze at his words, but now wasn’t the time to delve into them. topper scoffed, “unbelievable. you’ve been sneaking behind my back and you think that’s — what? justi-fucking-fiable?”
“it’s not like that,” you ran your hands down his shoulders, in a way to calm him down, “we weren’t trying to hurt you, topper. we just… wanted to figure things out before telling anyone.”
“and you’ve just figured it out now, have you?” topper snapped, “you’ve seriously lost it, y/n. do you even know what you’re getting yourself into with him?”
“i don’t need you to tell me what i’m doing,” you shot back! “i’m not a kid!”
rafe interjected, his tone unwavering, “i’m not playing games, and i’m not here to hurt her. you know me, top. i wouldn’t do that.”
topper’s breathing eventually began to steady as he reached a state of neutrality. he sighed, before turning to you with an intensity about him, “this isn’t going to be easy, y/n. it’s… complicated. and it’s messy— for you, for me, for everyone.”
“i know, but i care about him. i’m not going to just throw it all away because it’s hard or because you don’t like it.”
topper ran his hand through his hair. “god, this is such a mess,” he muttered. he turned back to rafe, pointing a finger at him once more, “if you screw this up, i swear to god—”
“i won’t,” rafe firmly cut him on, “you have my word.”
the room fell into an uneasy silence, tension hanging in the air. you all sank back into your original placing within the living room before topper spoke up, “i can’t lie, i’m not thrilled… but if this is what you want, y/n then… whatever.”
you exhaled i’m relief, rafe’s hand coming up to brush against your back in silent support. it wasn’t perfect, but it was a start — topper would come round.
“you’ll come around,” rafe said with a small, knowing smirk — as though he’d read your mind — earning a glare from topper.
“don’t push your luck,” topper snapped, but there was a hint fo resignation in his voice.
as you and rafe left the house, the weight of the confrontation slowly lifted, replaced by a tentative sense of hope. it wasn’t the smoothest conversation, but at least the truth was out. and that, for now, was enough.
rafe’s close friends story
sarahcameron replied to his story:
nan looking a bit different here 😂
“what the fuck is sarah on about,” rafe laughed, holding his phone up to you as you both entered your grandparents’ home. the house was silent, the elder couple having departed from the living room to go to sleep.
“oh, i told the pogues i couldn’t hang today… because i was with nan,” you grinned down at him, as you shedded your coat while he removed his trainers placing them in their usual position by the door.
“you gonna tell them about us?”
“yeah,” you smiled, hiding your uncertainty: the pogues and kooks had never really gotten along, this was foreign territory and you didn’t know how they’d take it. “i like it when you put your trainers there, by the way.”
“what?” rafe let out a small laugh, amused.
“i don’t know, it’s just… nice,” you grasped his hand guiding him to your bedroom, “a nice reminder that you’re here… with me.”
and with that, he pulled you closer and joined your lips, kissing you softly.
later, when the two of you found yourselves tangled in the sheets of your bed, you whispered, “so did you mean it?”
the room was dark, so you couldn’t visibly see rafe’s face but his confused was apparent, “mean what?”
“what you said at topper’s…” he remained just as confused, “that you loved me.”
“course i did,” he smiled, before planting a kiss on your nose.
“well, i love you too.”
your arms wrapped around his broad shoulders, as you pulled him impossibly close, deepening the kiss. his wide hands cupped your cheeks, holding you face like it was the most delicate object he’d even held.
before things could escalate, “you know, i’ve been thinking,” rafe started, “about how much i like this— you.”
a warmth spread through your cheeks, but you stayed quite, letting him continue.
“i’ve never felt this way before,” he admitted, his voice quieter now “not with anyone. and i don’t want to pretend like this is casual or temporary, because it’s not. at least, not for me.
as his words sunk in, your breath hitched, “rafe…”
he shifted closer, propping himself up on one elbow to look down at you — though the lack of lighting made it very difficult. “i know things aren’t perfect. i’m not perfect. but i want try — really try — with you.”
you blinked up at him, heart pounding in your chest as he reached out and gently brushed a strand of hair out of your face.
“so,” he continued, a smile growing on his face though you couldn’t see it well, “will you be my girlfriend? officially?”
the question hung in the air, you were in utter surprise at what he’d said, your emotions swirling.
“yes,” you whispered, your voice soft but certain, “of course, i’ll be your girlfriend — yes!”
he was suddenly filled with emotions of relief and happiness, as he leaned down to kiss your lips once more, before gently kissing your forehead. “you just made me the happiest guy in the world,” he murmured against your skin.
“you’ve gone soft, cameron,” you laughed softly as you reached up to cup his jaw.
“only for you,” he said, settling back beside you and pulling you into his chest.
as you lay there, wrapped up in him, you feet rubbing against his, you couldn’t help but feel like things were finally falling into place.
you’d told topper, albeit his reaction may not have been what you hoped, but you were one step closer. all you had to do now was tell the pogues… and the internet.
your camera roll

Hey, question. How many requests are we able to send in before you get annoyed with us? I'm not talking about sending in two three requests a day, but like, how many a week? Obviously, not every request, complement, or drabble is going to get a reply - as is expected of any blog, but especially one of this quality - so waiting until a response isn't the move. In theory, since I am an anon, if I didn't announce my presence, you would have no idea it was me popping up in your inbox with frequency, but since I'm named, not telling you it's me would feel... scummy and disrespectful. So, yeah. How many things can we send to your inbox before you go from, "Oh, it's them!"(/pos) to "Oh... it's them."(/neg). ~Wolf-non
That depends.
If they are different in nature from one another (ie. One request about harpies, and one request about Divus) I usually go "oh yeah, it's this person! Alright, you go funky lil anon." But if they are the same over and over with only slight variation (ie. I WANT PENGUIN SIRENS and CAN YOU MAKE ONE OF THE GUYS A PENGUIN BECAUSE I LOVE PENGUINS SO MUCH??? and I WANT TO BE A PENGUIN, SO YOU NEED TO MAKE THE HUMAN A PENGUIN FOR ME BECAUSE I WANT IT) I will get annoyed and angry and will be tempted to share the horrific facts about said animal that I know just to make them be quiet and stop messaging me about that topic.
This is unfortunate because anyone else who sends in a request that has the same topic (since I can't tell between anons that don't identify themselves) will suffer the same punishment even if they were not the problem because they are similar enough requests to the problem anon. (Hence why I refuse to take any hxh requests involving Kurapika because one person thought it a good idea to spam me with almost identical requests repeatedly about Kurapika, now I just dislike writing for the character due to their actions.)
(Person who keeps demanding I make one of the guys (WHO I HAVE ALREADY DECIDED SPECIES FOR) into a penguin simply because you are obsessed with penguins and continuously demand more penguins in MY writing, I will come UNGLUED and you will be blocked. My patience has set limits and you are exceeding them very quickly.)
I also have an unfortunate tendency to just delete any request similar to the one that angered me and avoiding what they want rather petulantly due to my irritation. In example of the penguin anon that won't leave me the hell alone about penguins, I will not be adding a penguin character or anything to do with penguins until they stop annoying the hell out of me with their demands for penguins. I am not a pet that does tricks when you scream and demand, I will block nuisances who see it fit to prod at me for their own amusement.
I can block on anon and will do so if annoyed enough. I will not be hearing any "please unblock me, I didn't mean to make you angry!" After 5+ near identical requests about the same thing over and over or demands that I adhere to what they want in my writing.
That's not to say I don't understand when Internet connection is shoddy and can send the same request 3 times due to unstable network, but 5 is excessive and the person better have a good explanation for why they saw fit to send it 5 times. I also like suggestions and ideas about going forward, but I LOATHE demands. A good part of my AuHD has extreme issue with Demands and Commands, especially from people I don't know/respect as an authority.

Hello, I'm not sure if you'll see this or not but I thought I would ask so I know everyone is excited about BTS year this year and is eager to anticipate their return, and I kind of wanted to talk about the infantilization of BTS prior to their MS and when they come out, so I do know at their core, BTS will still be the same loveable people, but my thoughts are running on who defines what infantilism is when it comes to the boys, for example: I was being accused of infantilizing Jimin and Jungkook because I found some of the things they do cute and adorable, I mean, they have cute moments right? (AYS for example) I still acknowledge they are grown adults and respect them as the adults they are, but now I'm questioning if these things that I'm finding cute really are babying them and I don't want to treat them like that/that way, so i wanted to know if you wouldn't mind sharing your thoughts on this?
Hi anon, how are you? Happy New Year!
Oh, this is an interesting question.
I think what’s happening in the case you’re describing is that the people saying that to you don’t really understand what “infantilisation” means.
Infantilisation happens when we treat or perceive someone as if they lack the maturity or ability to be a responsible adult, regardless of their actual actions. For example, if someone dismisses their ability to act, their opinions, or their choices by labelling them as "childish" or incapable, that’s infantilisation.
A fandom example is when people think they have the right to decide for X members whether they should stay with the agency, collaborate with certain artists, or interact with certain members. It happens when someone undermines a member’s decision-making ability, treating them like a child who doesn’t know what’s best for them. It’s not about finding them cute or endearing – it’s about treating them as though they can’t differentiate between right and wrong or make their own choices about what to say or do. That’s the kind of infantilisation many of us criticise in fandoms and, honestly, on the internet in general when it comes to fans of public figures.
In your case, what you’re describing sounds more like appreciation for their natural charm and personality rather than denial of their maturity. In Korean culture, there’s something called aegyo, which is basically acting cute – almost like a small child being adorable. It’s a big part of Korean entertainment, not just in K-pop, and BTS is known for doing it too. Sometimes it’s their personality shining through, and other times it’s part of their persona. You can usually tell the difference depending on the context.
So finding someone’s actions endearing without dismissing their adulthood is perfectly fine. For example, enjoying how Jimin and Jungkook interacted during AYS (or their playful dynamics in general) doesn’t mean you’re erasing their adulthood. They were often super cute during the show, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. That’s not infantilisation – that’s you finding their actions adorable or cute.
Before Jin and Hobi were discharged, I wondered if that side of them would change – if they’d stop being these cheekily adorable and sometimes mischievous people for their fans. But it hasn’t. From what we’ve seen, they’re the same as they were before, just with a year or two more life experience. That’s it. We don’t know if they’ve changed in private, but honestly, that’s none of our business.
Jungkook’s December Wlive was a perfect example of my point. He behaved just as he always has in his lives, especially over the past few years, and more than a few fans called him cute and silly or said they just wanted to squish him because he brings out those emotions in his fans. That doesn’t mean we think he’s a child – some people do, and that is infantilisation – but most of us simply find him endearing at times.
The misunderstanding of terms or labels also reminds me of how some people in the fandom label anyone who happens to see a member in public, take a picture, or mention it as a sasaeng. Or how some even describe certain fansites as sasaengs. A sasaeng is an obsessive fan who invades a celebrity’s personal life and privacy; in this case, is someone going to extreme lengths to follow or interact with idols. A fan spotting a member in public and taking a picture or just mentioning seeing them in X place isn’t being a sasaeng. This behaviour of misunderstanding terms or labels is not new.
I don’t know what’s going on lately, whether it’s newer fans or something else, but I’ve seen people on social media trying to police things that really don’t need policing or making others feel bad for things that are pretty standard in fandoms like this. For example – and I think this wasn’t specifically our fandom but a K-pop stan in general – someone tweeted criticising people who collect photocards. Like, why? Why should anyone feel bad or embarrassed about collecting photocards? Collecting is one of the most normal hobbies ever. Some people collect photocards, others collect toy cars, and some even collect women! (That last one should honestly be a crime, but that’s another conversation.) Why is it okay for men to collect photocards of sports players, sorry, I mean “sports cards” but not for people to collect photocards of artists? The double standards in society are wild.
Anon, I think it’s amazing that you’re so self-aware that you’re checking in with others to see if your behaviour might be problematic. That says a lot about the kind of person you are. In this case, I don’t think you have anything to worry about – but the people who told you that definitely do.

Oh 100% Itachi is a parental figure to Sasuke. And you don’t even have to look at Itachi to see it.
Sasuke treats him more like a father sometimes than a brother. Especially given the overall narrative that this series usually establishes about father-son relationships, which to be fair are also reflected a bit in teacher-student dynamics but nowhere near as much.
And that narrative overall is not unique to Naruto but is a rather typical shonen trope thing about having a goal to supersede your father, to best him at his own game, or to otherwise surpass him. (This is a deeply cultural thing in Japan…but I am not going there today).
And while occasionally brothers do stand in for this as ordinary brothers, usually if a sibling, trope wise, has to step into the “you must live to surpass me” role, it’s because they’re narratively a paternal figure.
And like I said, Sasuke’s got all the clues here. He:
Is always looking for Itachi’s attention, be it positive or negative
Obeys his brother without even thinking about doing otherwise even long after the massacre*
Pre massacre, he’s clingy and needy towards Itachi because his father won’t give him the time of day, but also because canonically that’s just how he’s always been. Sometimes babies really do pick their parents. (I’ve been in that situation, sort of, otherwise I’d of said it seemed unrealistic. But no, sometimes a little baby just says “no, YOU get to be my mom!” And there’s really nothing you can do 🤷♀️ this happened twice, with my niece AND grand nephew.)
Sasuke is always striving to best his brother, even after the massacre, like when he was training with the Kunai, trying to beat Itachi’s record. Yeah that’s a typical sibling thing, but in the bigger context, like after Itachi’s death when Sasuke is once again trying to out-do him, it feels more shonen-trope-fatherly to me. (Though I will concede that I only really watch Shonen that leans in the general direction of Seinen, which is to say more mature themes that twist the typical Shonen narrative; Naruto both is and isn’t an exception to this. Point is I’m biased lol)
* in reference to two:
There is one poignant scene in which Sasuke doesn’t kill Naruto explicitly because he doesn’t want to do what Itachi tells him to anymore. He then semi reneges on this later and decides that severing the bond is more important— he’s still technically not doing it for the reasons Itachi said, but he has changed his mind all the same.
After Itachi dies, Sasuke decides to go counter to his brother’s wishes, but he’s ultimately still doing what he thinks Itachi wants…sort of.
Now, before I go here, I want to say that this is entirely my interpretation, and you’re free to disagree.
But when Itachi tells Sasuke to hate him more, that he’ll only get stronger if he harbors more hate…a lot of Itachi haters take him literally here, and/or are very confused by it. But in my mind, what Itachi is actually saying as a deeply traumatized 18 year old with limited life experience who has just come back to the place that started it all and probably isn’t in a great place is:
I want you to hate me as much as I hate myself.
And, in particular reference to the “you’re weak if you can’t hate with all your heart” thing (I don’t have the panels on hand) :
I want you to throw away or erase everything you ever cared about just like I did.
As someone who has dealt with severely angry and angsty teens before, this is the message I heard. He wasn’t really goading Sasuke on, insofar as he was looking for someone to commiserate with. And nobody else but Sasuke would genuinely understand. I don’t think it was a planned response, personally— Itachi wasn’t looking for Sasuke, and didn’t appear to know that Naruto was his teammate. So my bets are on that being an impulsive reaction to a stressful situation and Itachi trying really hard to put a wall between them while inadvertently pleading for closeness.
But the point is that Sasuke heard what he meant, not what he said. Because he knows his brother. And Sasuke did exactly that — threw away everything, just like Itachi, severed his bonds, just like Itachi, became a rogue, just like Itachi, etc.
You could very well argue that Sasuke just went and did that if his own accord trying to feel closer to Itachi, which I would completely believe. But either way it’s far more son-father than brother-brother in its dynamic. Don’t get me wrong they absolutely have their bro moments, like when Sasuke is chasing Edo tensei Itachi down and calling him a big fat liar essentially, and being a complete child while Itachi basically rolls his eyes at the Drama 🤣 it’s both funny and sad.
But overall there is certainly a sense of paternalism in their relationship. But it’s not solely defined by Itachi, which makes me wonder how anyone ever missed it.
Ever since @shinoposting made a post about Itachi being a more parental figure to Sasuke a couple of months ago, I've seen several angry responses to it, with the sentiment that "Itachi fans want to make Itachi look good and their parents look bad."
Listen.
A five-year-end boy is left alone on the night of the kyuubi attack with his toddler brother.
He doesn't even seem disconcerted, but instead promises "I'll always protect you, no matter what."
Itachi is the one who sits with him, despite his busy schedule, despite grieving Shisui, and despite being burdened with what's more than he could handle, he took time to check on Sasuke's report card.
Itachi was also ready to abandon his first Anbu mission for Sasuke's sake. It was after this their father even recalls he had to go to the Academy.
Itachi "ignored" Sasuke. And, like, what do people even expect from someone who's been this much burdened that isolating himself is the only thing he can do to protect Sasuke and his innocence?
Yet, Itachi doesn't know exactly how not to be distant. That's a sign of how much he was suffering at this point. He was "bad" after the massacre, but before that, he was kind and sweet, who cared about nothing but Sasuke's wellbeing.

Fun details I love about Sonic Movie 3!
Some of my takes might not be popular, but I have no problem if anyone disagrees with them.
The animation is by far the BEST from any of these movies. The characters blend into the environment more convincingly here. The facial expressions are near Drone Home levels of good. Still not as cartoony, but it’s close. Body language is 100% great too. Especially if you know some of the references from Sonic specifically. Have I said how much THE LIGHTING IN THIS MOVIE EATS UP THE SCREEN!!! The color variety is insane!
I especially enjoyed the little details like Sonic practically crying when Tom got hurt. Then he immediately grew angry with the transition feeling seamless. Ben’s voice acting was hurting my heart in the best way. Don’t get me started on the “Where…is it!” line from the argument scene. UGH!
Tails was so brave for standing up to Sonic who was a person who inspired him. The little guy was clearly the responsible one of the group. Even getting irritated with Sonic multiple times or being a bit sassy with Tom and Maddie.
Knuckles was TOO good. Him protecting Tails when Sonic started getting defensive is a stand-out moment for me. Not to mention basically saving the day near the end. He’s certainly TRUE hero by the end. I’m glad both him and Tails had more time to be fleshed out despite the pacing being quick. Left me wanting more to be honest.
We don’t ever see the three squabble the way they did and for it to not feel forced is an accomplishment that should be studied. All of the neat character moments or emotional range we barely see from Sonic characters were presented perfectly. Also, hot take but I think the movie's dynamic of Team Sonic is the best it's ever been. It's arguably better than the games.
Can we also talk about how the film has the BEST Sonic and Shadow dynamic ever? Shadow gets snarky with Sonic at some points when they reconcile. They feel more like friends/acquaintances here than in the games in my opinion. I don’t know why, but the back and forth between the hedgehogs, fox, and echidna feels expanded. The believably of their relationships is stronger. No shame to the games, but Tails and Knuckles barely interact there.
Also, this is the GREATEST Shadow hands down. 2024 truly helped me appreciate him as a whole but Movie!Shadow is awfully lovable. They allowed him to emote and not stay stoic the entire time. Ever since Prime Shadow’s been so expressive and I love it.
Oh, and the humans were fun as usual. Of course the movie isn’t perfect but my 9/10 rating is largely for how much I enjoyed it more than anything. And Amy…Just Amy.

What sort of every day activities do you think Jinx and Caitlyn would do if they were married for a long time. Like after 15 years
oooh this is such a fun question!
post-canon, i can imagine jinx and caitlyn settled down in piltover because of caitlyn’s sense of responsibility to the city, but they are definitely the type to travel a lot. especially as they get older.
with that in mind, here’s a list of caitjinx married-life headcanons:
travel. anytime they visit a new region of runeterra, jinx’s primary interest is sight-seeing. caitlyn often worries that “sight-seeing” equates to getting into trouble (and she is usually correct), but jinx has always been naturally curious and adventurous. for someone who grew up in the fissures, fresh air and foreign landscapes are a welcome change. (though, their visit to bilgewater reminds jinx a little bit of home).
“oh my gods, cait, everything here is huge! do ya think they sell pirate hats?”
caitlyn’s primary interest, when not traveling for diplomatic reasons, is the different cuisine each region has to offer. she does plenty of research into local dishes and makes a list of ones she’d like to try. jinx takes it as a challenge to find each item on caitlyn’s list, dragging her wife from food stall to food stall until they find what they’re looking for.
ionia. caitlyn visits ionia for the first time on her 30th birthday. jinx had been planning it as a surprise for the year prior with the knowledge of caitlyn’s ionian ancestry. although jinx tends to be more spontaneous than meticulous, she made a detailed itinerary for their trip, ending with a boat ride in the lake of lighted lilies. it’s safe to say that caitlyn shed a tear or two.
souvenirs. whenever they return home from their travels, jinx comes back with a trinket or weapon, and caitlyn comes back with a practical item of clothing or an ornate decoration to add to their home. as they grow older, they dedicate an entire wall in the study to displaying their souvenirs and other fond memories.
“is this one from our wedding?” / “no, darling, that’s from when you nearly got us killed in demacia.”
clothes. jinx manages to stain, soil, and rip whatever it is she’s wearing, even on the most mundane of days. whether it be paint splotches on her shirt when she’s working on an art piece, or a tear in the leg of her pants after a particularly nasty fall, jinx’s wardrobe has seen better days. caitlyn, of course, finds it both incredibly endearing and slightly irritating, making sure to playfully chastise her wife each time she has to hand wash or sew jinx’s clothes back together. not that she really minds.
art. jinx is an artist. it’s something caitlyn greatly admires about her. she is both jinx’s number one supporter (and financier) and her muse. jinx will sit herself in front of caitlyn’s desk with an easel or a sketchpad while caitlyn works and paint/draw portrait after portrait. somehow, jinx manages to make every piece unique, stylized, and full of color regardless of the drab setting.
in a bout of self-consciousness early on in their marriage, caitlyn once asked jinx to paint a portrait of her in which she had both of her eyes. in response, jinx proceeded to crest the most breathtaking portrait of caitlyn, with one eye and without her eyepatch, serving as a reminder of the woman’s natural beauty. the love and reverence that went into each stroke of jinx’s paintbrush can be felt by anyone who views it in the main sitting room of the kiramman estate. it’s one of caitlyn’s favorite pieces.
tattoos. jinx gave herself her own blue smoke cloud tattoo at the age of 18, a testament to her artistic ability (and her left-handedness). lying in bed on their wedding night, caitlyn asked jinx to give her a tattoo. not right then, but sometime in the near future. jinx jumped at the opportunity, and after their honeymoon, had caitlyn lying on her stomach as jinx began what would soon become a tattoo of the kiramman house crest and two crossed rifles on the center of caitlyn’s back. (inspired by https://x.com/roosdrawsthings/status/1823442651720417367?s=46&t=6XyYORDs_ReW59UnMyq_-g)
guns. jinx and caitlyn, as we all know, are excellent marksmen. their aim is parallel to none besides each other, which makes for very fun competitions amongst themselves to see who’s the best sharp-shooter. they keep a tally over the years of matches won between them, and it’s always neck and neck. when caitlyn develops arthritis in her old age, her and jinx retire the friendly contests. their tally ends in a tie.
care. despite the mutual hatred and obsession that founded their initial rivalry, jinx and caitlyn’s marriage is surprisingly free of strife. they got all of the fighting and trying to kill each other out of their system in the early days of their relationship, leaving them with a playful dynamic full of banter and snark. that, and a whole lot of tenderness. jinx and caitlyn have been through hell. they are all too eager to show one another the love and affection they both crave in the wake of the cruelty they’ve endured.
jinx likes to braid caitlyn’s hair, especially whenever it gets longer. caitlyn hates the upkeep and maintenance of having long hair, but she holds off on cutting it with the knowledge of how much jinx adores it. no matter how many times jinx teaches caitlyn to braid as well, the finished product of caitlyn’s earnest attempts could be mistaken for a toddler’s handiwork. jinx tries not to laugh at her. she really does. but the frustrated frown (pout) on cailtyn’s lips breaks her resolve.
“it looks cute!” / “oh, don’t patronize me-“ / “no, no, i swear. you’re gettin’ better. you’re just overthinkin’ it.”
nightmares. it’s not uncommon for either jinx or caitlyn to suddenly awaken in the middle of the night due to a bad dream or night terror. the occurrences of them lessen as time goes on, but every once in a while, one of the two women will jolt up in bed, breathing ragged and a sheen of cold sweat on their brow.
if it’s caitlyn, she rarely cries but will allow herself to be coaxed into lying back down and held by jinx. with a few minutes of receiving soothing touches and murmured reassurances, caitlyn will decide whether or not she wants to talk about it (usually she doesn’t).
if it’s jinx, she wakes up with a scream or a sob and will quickly dissolve into tears. caitlyn will gauge if jinx is okay to be touched (usually she is) and then will draw her wife into a warm and secure embrace, protecting jinx from the horrors of her own mind. jinx typically takes a while to calm down, but then caitlyn will begin singing the french lullaby that her mother used to sing to her as a child, and suddenly, jinx can breathe easier.
“can you sing it again…?” / “of course, my love. close your eyes. just focus on my voice. nothing else.”
music. jinx’s instrument of choice is her voice, whereas caitlyn’s preferred instrument is the piano. the kiramman household has never seen a quiet day with jinx singing any chance she gets, or with caitlyn brushing up on her piano skills when she decides to tap into old interests and hobbies. (she even cracks open a french textbook from her schooling days but immediately slides it back onto the shelf at the sight of “passé composé.”)
jinx adores caitlyn’s playing of the piano just as much as caitlyn adores jinx’s singing. if jinx stumbles upon caitlyn playing a piece she recognizes, she will sit next to her wife on the bench and sing along. it’s a peaceful moment of connection in the otherwise chaotic and unpredictable lives they lead.

I TOTALLY DON'T HAVE AN IMPENDING HYPERFIXATION ON ACE PSHHH WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT
slow burn(?)
@ai-kan1 peace offering plz accept me TT
not proofread sorry
tw: very cheesy and very cringe-worthy kissing scenes
pairing: Ace x Fem!Yuu (has a nut allergy and gets motion sickness for the sake of plot)
words: 6234 (hoo boy..)
taglist: @luxaryllis @thegoldencontracts @waterthatsmoe @ai-kan1
“You’re pretty popular these days, huh,” Ace says, his words lacking the teasing lilt he’d hoped to achieve upon seeing the piles of chocolates on Yuu’s table that morning.
Though—he inspects the stacks of cheap gifts he could easily discern were from Sam’s Shop. Do these people really think they can win Yuu over with shallow and thoughtless offerings like these? Did they even try?
Now, he’s no critic, but if Ace was given the chance to take part in this annual wooing fest, he’d go out of his way to take Yuu to an amusement park (everyone loves those) and impress her by winning all those crappy games for you (he’s street-smart, he’d know what he’s doing). Not only would Yuu end up utterly smitten with him, he’d also earn brownie points he can show off to Deuce. It’s an entirely win-win situation…or something. He wouldn’t know. It’s not like Ace spends his time thinking about this in minute detail. Haha, nope. Yuu was his best friend, and best friends don’t do that to each other.
…Probably.
“I guess,” Yuu hummed, rummaging through the mountain of chocolates, hoping for at least one decent piece without nuts.
“You guess?” Ace echoed in what almost sounded like a scoff. He leaned over her, arms crossed on the tabletop so that he could glance at the boxes in Yuu’s hands. “I counted twenty-three boxes. That’s basically the whole of the first years and half the second years at this school. What’s with all these chocolates for you, huh?”
With an amused smirk, he snatched a box out of her hands, inspecting the package.
“That’s some great hyperbole use, Ace. I didn’t realize your range of grammar was so wide,” Yuu deadpanned, “I’d appreciate it if you gave that back. It’s the only one without nuts and I want to satisfy my sweet tooth.”
“My grammar is amazing, you know. I’m the whole package,” Ace teased, tossing the box between his hands. His smirk was only growing bigger, seeming thoroughly entertained by her irritation. “But you didn’t answer the question: Why are you getting so many chocolates, hm?”
“Zero times a number is still zero,” Yuu countered back with a small smirk of her own. “And how would I know why so many people like me that way?”
“Ouch,” he deadpanned back in response. He put a hand to his chest in mock-despair. “Your cold words wound me. Here, a poor boy was just trying to give you a hard time, and you go ahead and say that.”
Ace was clearly just messing around with you, having the cheekiest damn smile on his face to show it.
“And you should have some idea, right? People like you because you’re cute. That’s it. Pretty simple reasoning.”
“You and your theatrics,” Yuu lightly shook her head. “But, I wasn’t expecting you to admit that. Are you one of the many people that like me or something?”
“Huh- hey, I do not have theatrics!” Ace protested with a huff. Although there was a hint of indignance in his voice, it quickly faded away to his usual carefree tone. He chose to ignore the second part of her question, but he couldn’t quite stop the flush that began to bloom over his cheeks. “I’m just being sarcastic with you! You ought to know that I’m just giving you a hard time, since I always give you a hard time.”
“Theater boy,” Yuu smiled, teasing him. She stood up, suddenly taking the box of chocolates back.
“Oh, come on!” Ace whined, following Yuu as she moved. “Don’t just take it back after that!”
For a moment, it seemed like he was about to make a grab for the box again, but he quickly aborted the motion with a huff and crossed his arms.
“So you still didn’t answer my question. Why the heck are you getting so many chocolates, anyway? Did you accidetally charm the entirety of our class or something?!”
“Look, I don’t know! This is what happens when you put a girl in an all boys school full of hormonal guys!” Yuu huffed, popping a piece of chocolate into her mouth.
“Oh- that’s why-”
Ace bit back a bark of laughter, instead covering his mouth and muffling his giggles behind his hand. After a moment, he got his amusement relatively under control, clearing his throat and shaking his head.
“Hormonal guys. Yeah, that seems about right. So you’re really not like, secretly flirting with half the school like I thought? I actually have a shot after all?”
Yuu raised an eyebrow. “I’m starting to think you are a part of the guys that like me.”
“Me? You think I like you too?” Ace exclaimed, laughing in a poor, failed attempt to hide the nervous blush that was quickly overtaking his face.
“Well, I mean-” He looked away, suddenly unable to meet her Yuu’s eyes. His voice lowered as he continued. “So what if I… I mean, hypothetically…”
“So you do?” Yuu grinned, playing with the chocolate wrapper.
“Oh come on, don’t sound so smug about it,” Ace mumbled, stuffing his hands into the pockets on his uniform pants, hunching his shoulders. He couldn’t manage to look at her, but that didn’t stop him from speaking again in a quiet voice.
“...Maybe I do. Hypothetically. You know, whatever, it’s not a big deal, alright?”
“Uh huh,” Yuu raised her eyebrows, her grin widening.
“Hush, you,” Ace shot back quickly, looking up to glare at her. “Don’t look so— so smug!”
His ears were definitely turning pink; a fact that was only made more obvious with some strands of fiery hair falling over them. “I can’t believe out of the two of us, you’re the one making me feel flustered.”
“Sure, pretty boy,” Yuu chuckled, placing the box of chocolate down.
“You—”
Ace choked on the rest of his sentence as he was called that. Heat flared up his neck into his face, turning his skin absolutely scarlet. How the hell did she say these things so easily?
“God, you’re the worst, you know that?” He turned away, facing the opposite wall and stubbornly refusing to look at Yuu. No one deserved to see how utterly embarrassed he was right now.
Yuu let out a small giggle, standing up and popping a piece of chocolate into his mouth.
“Hey, what—”
Ace was in the middle of protesting before the chocolate was suddenly in his mouth. He spluttered for a moment, though finally giving in because hey, free chocolate.
“Damn it- stop giggling like that. You’re enjoying this too much,” he grumbled through a mouthful of chocolate. He still wasn’t looking at her.
“Never. Would you rather me feed it to you mouth to mouth, then?”
Ace sputtered and choked on the piece of chocolate he had in his mouth. He coughed to try and regain his ability to speak, but all he managed to do was turn bright red, sputter some more, and look absolutely flabbergasted.
“Actually—since you’re so judgemental about my mountain of chocolates I can’t even eat, what would you do? What kind of date would you plan? I might actually agree depending on how much I like that idea—who knows.” Yuu grinned, giving him a small wink.
The sheer confidence and sass in her voice stunned Ace all over again. He couldn’t help but just stand there, gaping at Yuu in surprise. Though, eventually he managed to pull himself together, a sly smile overtaking his face.
“Is that a challenge, sweetheart? I’ll have you falling to my feet by the end of that date. Just wait.”
“...sweetheart?” Yuu blinked twice, her smirk completely wiped off. Her turn to be flustered, I guess.
A sense of triumph flared up in Ace’s chest upon seeing her suddenly-dumbfounded expression. “What’s that look for? Got flustered, didn’t you? Didn’t think you’d get all shy.”
A sly smirk was still splayed across his face, taking a step closer to Yuu to admire her face more.
“Shut it. What do you have planned for this date, anyway?” Yuu huffed, scooting back with her chair, trying to change the subject.
“I thought you wanted to know how much you’d like it after I suggested a date, hm?” Ace teased, taking note of how Yuu were suddenly avoiding eye contact, and that sweet, flustered look on her face. He chuckled, resting his hands by her chair, caging Yuu in and effectively keeping her from scooting away.
“...whatever…j-just—tell me what you have planned, Ace.”
He’s got her trapped and flustered. Ace’s smirk widened, reaching out to grab one of her hands.
“Alright, I’ll tell you,” Ace leaned down and lowered his voice into a murmur. “But before I do, can I ask you something?”
“Sure…”
He moved his free hand to gently grab her chin, tilting her head up to look into her eyes. “You’d be willing to go on a date with me, even if it’s going to be really, really cheesy?”
Yuu shrugged. “Why not? Sounds fun.”
Ace studied Yuu’s face for a moment, a fond look in his eyes. Eventually, that smirk returned, releasing your chin. “Alright. I guess I shouldn’t be asking. Of course you’d be up for a sappy cheesy date.”
He stood up straight and let go of her hand in favor of crossing his arms. “My plan? I’m taking you to an amusement park.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ace was practically bouncing with excitement by the time the two of them got there. Like a little kid, if anything. As he walked beside Yuu, he pointed at different parts of the park they both passed by.
“I’m gonna win you the biggest plushie they have. Then I’m gonna buy you a bunch of shitty snacks from all the vendors. And to top it all off, I’m gonna make you try all the rides here, even if you’re scared of heights.”
“Ah shit, I knew I forgot something…”
Ace stopped in his tracks, spinning around to give Yuu a questioning look. “Huh? Forgot something? What are you talking about?”
Yuu swallowed. “...my motion sickness medicine.”
Ace stared at her for a moment, a bewildered look on his face. He let out a low groan and facepalmed. “You’re kidding, right? You’re seriously telling me you forgot to take your motion sickness medicine to an amusement park?”
Yuu looked down guiltily, her head hanging low as she fiddled with her thumbs. “...I’m sorry,” she bit her lip, her voice quiet as she murmured an apology.
If it weren’t for the fact that she looked like a pitiful baby animal, he’d be very pissed off right now. Ace was prepared to be annoyed at her forgetfulness, he really was. But the moment he laid eyes on Yuu and saw that dejected, kicked-puppy-like look on her face, all of that annoyance melted away.
“Damn it, why’d you have to look so pathetic? You're making it hard to be made at you, you know that?” He sighed loudly.
“...excuse me?” Yuu looked up, meeting his eyes—her own narrowing.
Ace chuckled nervously. Looks like he had to backtrack after that one.
“Hold on, hold on, that didn’t come out right…” He raised his hands in a placating gesture. “I meant ‘pathetic’ in an endearing way. You know, like when a puppy makes a mess and they stare up at you looking all sad and guilty? You’re looking at me just like that.”
“Oh good,” Yuu pushed her hands into her own pockets. “Well…what now?”
Ace paused for a moment, looking pensive as he thought of something through. “Hmm…Well, I guess the question is, how bad is your motion sickness? Like, can you even handle the small rides, or is it like, as soon as you walk into a park it all goes downhill?”
“I mean, I haven’t thrown up yet from the sight of a roller coaster. So, I think I can do small or calm rides.”
Ace nodded and exhaled a small sigh of relief. “Alright, that’s good. That means you can still somewhat enjoy the park.”
He leaned forward to sling an arm around Yuu’s shoulders, drawing her closer. “C’mon, I know what we should do first.”
“Oh?”
Ace flashed Yuu a smile before pulling her along. “First, we win you a plushie. I’m good at these carnival games, so it shouldn’t take too long to win a decent prize.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As the two of them approached the first little game area, Ace stopped and pointed up at the hanging prizes.
“Pick which one you want. And don’t say you don’t care, just choose one. I’m gonna win it for you.”
“That one,” Yuu smiled, pointing up at a plush of a mix of some duck-fish hybrid thing. “It looks incredibly stupid, but I want it.”
Ace followed where she was pointing, letting out a laugh at the sight of the plushie she’d chosen. That thing was an absolute abomination.
“You’ve got a weird taste in plushes. But fine. You want the stupid fish-duck? I’ll win it for you.”
She let out a happy squeak, watching Ace pay for a chance to play. He accepted the game equipment from the person running the game, immediately getting to work. From the start, his eyes were laser-focused. He was incredibly determined to win Yuu the ugliest plush the park had, by God.
He worked through the game with impressive skill. His accuracy was excellent, his aim never once deviating far from the intended target. A small crowd even started to form as he continued to play, a few kids gathered around, marveling at how many points he was getting.
As he finally finished and set the equipment aside, he raked in an impressive amount of points. Almost more than any other player. The person running the game smiled and picked up one of the largest prizes, holding it out to him.
“Not bad, kid. You sure you don’t want to pick something bigger?”
Ace shook his head. “Nah, I’ve only got my eye set on one thing,” he replied, holding out his arms in a ‘gimme’ gesture. The person shrugged, handing over the fish-duck plush. It was absolutely hideous, just like Yuu had wanted.
Yuu smiled, squeaking happily as she took the plush when he offered. “Thanks, Ace,” she giggled, hugging the stupid looking plush tightly close to her chest.
Ace’s heart almost melted at the cute sound Yuu made. It was completely unfair that she could be so adorable and not even realize it. He gave an amused huff, smiling down at Yuu as she squeezed that ugly plush.
“You know, I don’t know whether to be upset or just accept that you’ve got a really weird taste.”
Yuu shrugged. “I’m stupid looking and I love it.”
Ace chuckled, shaking his head as he watched her practically coo over the plushie in her arms.
“Yeah, you’ve definitely got a weird taste,” He reached over to ruffle her hair fondly. “You’re a really strange girl, you know that?”
“Well, you’re the one that took this ‘strange girl’ out on this date in the first place.” Yuu tilted her head, squeezing the duck-fish plush once more.
Ace smirked, crossing his arms and leaning closer. “Hey, I never said I was opposed to it. If I was, we wouldn’t be here,” He flicked the corner of the plush’s wing.
“Though this thing is a testament to your weird taste in stuff. Like seriously, if that’s the most hideous thing you’ve chosen, then there’s no telling how more of your life choices could be just as weird…but I guess that’s part of your charm.” He commented, his gaze softening. That smirk slid into a smile, taking a moment to just look at her.
“Anyway—” Yuu tucked the plush under her arm. “---I wanna go on the ferris wheel.”
Ace had been admiring how she looked while holding her plush just now. Yuu was just way too cute to be legal. At her words, he jerked out of his mini-trance, clearing his throat and putting on another playful smirk.
“Oh, you want the ‘romantic cliche ride’, huh?”
“Well, actually I was going for rides that won’t make me throw up, but that works too.”
Ace barked out a laugh at her response, amused and a little bit incredulous. This girl just didn’t miss a beat, did she?
“I see. So a slow ride that goes in circles is the only thing you can really stand to tolerate. I think that qualifies as ‘boring’.”
“Look, either ‘boring’ or get covered in my own vomit. Pick your poison,” Yuu stuck her tongue out for a moment, giving the head of the duck-fish plush a gentle pat.
“Alright, alright, fine, you win,” Ace rolled his eyes, a fond smirk on his face. This girl never failed to amuse him, that was for sure. “Come on. Let’s go to the ferris wheel.”
He reached out and grabbed Yuu’s free hand, intertwining his fingers with hers as he began walking.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ace sat next to Yuu, watching the sun gradually set over the horizon. His hand was still holding onto hers, and he gave her hand a gentle squeeze. This was surprisingly nice. He’d have to admit, going on dates like this usually wasn’t his cup of tea…but he could get used to it when it was with Yuu.
“This is really nice…” Yuu looked down at the park in awe. Seeing people down there, enjoying themselves made her smile.
“Pretty too,” She added, watching the lights of the park turn on, somehow making the place look more picturesque. Yuu squeezed the ugly ass plush, feeling content as they began to descend.
Ace nodded in agreement. The view really was quite pretty up here. He leaned against Yuu a bit, looking down over the railing at the people below. He could just barely make out what they looked like in the growing darkness.
“Yeah. This really isn’t too boring after all.”
He smirked and lifted his free hand to tap the weird plushie under your arm. “See? That thing’s not too bad after all. It makes an excellent armrest.”
Yuu gasped dramatically. “Okay, for one, you were the one calling this duck-fish plush ugly. And two—how dare you use Jeremy as an armrest!”
Ace let out a laugh at her reaction. He couldn’t help it, that was just way too funny.
“‘Jeremy’?!” He repeated, his eyes shining with amusement. “You gave it a name?!”
Yuu failed to hold back a smile. “Of course I did. For the record, his pronouns are he/him, not it. Jeremy is my child now.”
Ace snorted as she started talking like the plush was actually a real creature. He reached out to pat the top of the plush’s head once, more for the humor of it than anything else.
“Alright, alright…I apologize. I’ll make sure to address this little guy properly. He is quite hideous, and is the fruit of your strange tastes.”
Yuu rolled her eyes, but there was no real malice intent to it. “Stop insulting my baby, Ace.”
Ace chuckled, shaking his head and raising his hands in mock surrender. “Alright, fine, I’ll stop. You’re right, your baby is perfect in every way.”
He reached out to pat the top of the stupid thing’s head again, this time in a more genuine manner. He was doing his best to keep his tone serious, but the corner of his mouth was twitching with the effort of keeping back a smirk.
“Better,” Yuu smiled, kissing Ace’s cheek as a reward for being nicer to the abomination of a plush.
Ace’s face turned a bit red as Yuu kissed his cheek. Now that was just unfair. She’d flustered him in one move. He averted his gaze and cleared his throat, hoping that she didn’t notice. Of all the times to lose his composure, it had to be right now.
“R-right, yeah,” he replied, his response coming out a bit more stilted than usual. He quickly recovered his composure, fixing you with a smirk to cover up his momentary lapse in confidence. “Whatever you say, babe.”
Yuu smiled at the pet name, going back to playing with the stupid duck-fish thing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As they walked from the ride, Ace watched as Yuu continued playing with her new weird plushie. He was starting to think that thing might get more attention than he did, if this went o n any longer.
He shoved his hands in his pockets, giving Yuu a side-glance. He didn’t even really think about it before the words came out of his mouth. “...Hey, you’re not gonna end up replacing me with that thing, are you?”
Yuu raised an eyebrow and titled her head. “Are you jealous of Jeremy?” She chuckled with a small grin.
“I’m not jealous of that hideous thing,” Ace sputtered, his cheeks turning slightly pink. He crossed his arms over his chest, fixing Yuu with a half-hearted glare. “It’s just you’ve been giving it more attention than you’ve been giving me.”
That, and the fact she’d called it her ‘baby’ and given it a name—but he left that part unsaid.
Yuu giggled, using her free hand to reach out and grab one of his, squeezing it gently. “It’s okay, Ace. You’re irreplaceable.”
Ace huffed, but her words and the way she squeezed his hand helped to ease the uneasy feeling in his chest. He grumbled in slight embarrassment as he replied, a bit of a half-hearted pout on his face. “...You’d better remember that. You’re stuck with me,” He grumbled, giving Yuu’s hand a small squeeze back.
“I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Ace stopped walking momentarily, making Yuu stop along with him. He used this opportunity to pull her in, wrapping his arms around her waist and trapping her against his chest.
He leaned down to bury his face in the crook of her neck, his voice coming out in a low, somewhat muffled grumble. “You’re mine.”
Ace had zero shame when it came to stuff like this. If he wanted to hold Yuu, he was going to hold her. And if she happened to be standing in the middle of the park, so be it. He just wrapped his arms around her tighter, letting himself get lost in her presence for a moment. He lifted his head up so he could speak, his voice a low murmur. “...promise me you won’t forget that, ‘kay?”
Yuu chuckled, tucking the plush under her arm and hugging him back—just as tightly. “I promise.”
Ace hummed in approval, squeezing you a little bit tighter again—not that he really needed to. At this point, this was just him being clingy, but he couldn’t really help it at this point. He was still feeling a bit…jealous, as ridiculous as it sounded.
“...Good,” he mumbled, hiding his face in the crook of Yuu’s neck again in an attempt to hide his expression from view. He was just being a little bit more clingy than usual tonight, was all. It just couldn’t be helped.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ace and Yuu stood side by side, watching the fireworks go off in the night sky. He had one arm wrapped around her, his hand lightly holding onto her waist. He was leaning ever so slightly against her, his gaze fixated on the sky. He had a small smile on his face, the colors of the fireworks lighting up his face.
He had to admit, he wasn’t one for sappy, romantic things like these. But tonight, he found himself enjoying these kind of things a bit more than usual.
“...Hey, Ace?” Yuu looked up at him.
Ace shifted his gaze, away from the night sky and over to Yuu. “Yeah? What is it, babe?”
“...I love you.”
Ace’s eyes widened slightly in surprise at her sudden confession. He hadn’t been expecting that. In fact, it almost seemed like his heart had skipped a beat.
For a brief moment, the ever-cocky boy was stunned speechless. He quickly shook himself out of it, wrapping his arms around Yuu. He pulled her flush against his chest, and returned the declaration. “...Yeah, yeah, I love you too, dork.”
“...and, if you’re going to love me, you know who else you have to love?” Yuu snickered, unable to hold back a grin.
Ace blinked, having an odd suspicion about what she was going to say. He shifted his gaze down at the hideous blue thing tucked under her arm, responding with a flat, deadpan tone.
“Please don’t say the plushie.”
“Your new son,” Yuu laughed, holding up the duck-fish plushie.
Ace huffed, a deadpan expression on his face. He was sorely tempted to roll his eyes, but he managed to restrain himself. He let out a small grumble of protest, before replying in a flat tone. “We are not reffering to that hideous, ugly ass thing as my ‘son’.”
“Too bad,” Yuu grinned, patting it on the head.
Ace gumbled again, narrowing his eyes at the ugly plushie that Yuu adored for some odd reason.
“...I hate that thing,” He mumbled, his words carrying equal parts annoyance and jealousy.
Yuu shrugged, leaning her head on his chest and looking back up at the fireworks. “Even if you hate it, I’m glad you won it for me.”
Ace grumbled again, begrudgingly wrapping his arms around you once more. Even if he’d never admit it, he liked having her close to him like this. He buried his face into her hair, continuing to steal the occasional glance at the stupid, hideous plushies that he’d gotten for Yuu. Even if it was ugly as hell, it was the cause of the stupidly happy expression on her face, and that was good enough for him.
“...Whatever.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ace was walking alongside Yuu, one of his arms wrapped around her shoulders. He was taking his time when she suddenly stopped and pointed at a candy shop.
He raised an eyebrow, following the path of her finger to where she was pointing. A candy store. Figures.
“What, do you need even more sugar after all that cotton candy you ate earlier?”
“No, I just want to get quality chocolate. Not the mountain of crappy ones I can’t even eat back at Ramshackle.”
Ace let out a huff, an amused smirk on his face. “Quality chocolate, huh? Are you some kind of expert on it or something?” He teased, giving Yuu a small nudge.
“Shut up. I just want to freely enjoy chocolate that won’t potentially kill me, Ace.”
Ace let out an acknowledging hum, shrugging his shoulders. “Fair enough,” he responded, shifting his gaze to the shop Yuu was pointing at. He gave the place a quick glance, noting with mild surprise that it was a higher-end shop that the usual stores.
“Alright, let’s go,” Ace said, giving Yuu a small nudge towards the shop. He released Yuu from his hold, immediately taking her hand instead, intertwining his fingers with hers as he lead her towards the shop. Even if this was for Yuu, he had no intention of letting her wander off.
The two of them entered the store, immediately surrounded by rich smells of chocolate.
Ace had to admit, this place might be a bit above his price range, but he had a bit of money saved up, and well—he did sort of promise to pay for everything tonight. He didn’t really mind that much.
Yuu got a small, simple bag of chocolates, it being a variety of white, milk and dark—some with caramel, some without.
Ace stood by her side, watching her look through the different kinds of chocolate the store had to offer. He was admittedly surprised at the simplicity of the bag she’d picked out, having thought that she would choose the most expensive ones. But instead, she’d gone with something smaller and a bit more modest. He raised an eyebrow, slightly puzzled by her voice.
“That’s it? Just that one?”
“Yeah. I don’t want you to spend too much on me. It makes me feel bad.”
Ace raised an eyebrow once more, huffing and shaking his head. “You’re ridiculous, you know that? Don’t worry about how much stuff costs, I can handle it. I don’t mind spending money on you.”
“You sure?”
Ace rolled his eyes and waved a dismissive hand. “Yeah, yeah, of course. I just told you not to worry about it, didn’t I?” he responded, his tone a bit more exasperated. Honestly, Yuu worried about this kind of thing way too much…
“If you say so,” Yuu smiled, giving the hideous plushie a squeeze and Ace a peck on the cheek.
He huffed, but a small smile quickly came to his face nonetheless. His cheeks flushed a little when she kissed him, bringing a hand up to his cheek to make sure that wasn’t a permanent mark or something. He then shook his head, muttering as small grumble. “You’re way too troublesome, y’know that?”
“Says you,” Yuu chuckled, bringing the bag of chocolates up to the cashier.
Ace rolled his eyes, refraining from making any retort. He simply watched as Yuu placed the chocolates on the counter
Of course, he couldn’t wait too long before eventually opening his mouth once more, an amused smirk coming to his face as he was paying. “You know, if you wanted something even better than some ordinary chocolates, I could probably give you something better.”
“Oh?” Yuu took her bag of chocolates, thanking the cashier before leaving the store with him.
Ace followed you out of the store, a cheeky grin on his face. “Yeah. I bet my kisses taste way better than chocolates.”
Yuu’s eyes widened for a moment, a faint blush dusting her cheeks before she composed herself, putting on a smile. “I bet.”
Once he saw her initial reaction, a devious smirk quickly spread across Ace’s face. Ah, so he’d caught her of guard for once… He liked seeing those sorts of reactions from her. It was cute.
He leaved in closer, his face close to hers as he wrapped an arm around her waist. “I can prove it, if you want.”
Yuu giggled. “I don’t think I would mind.”
Ace’s smirk turned into a grin, and he chuckled. “Good,” He pulled you close to him, and brought one of his hands up to her cheek. His fingers gently traced over her skin, running his thumb over her lips.
He leaned in closer, his lips a few inches away from hers. For a brief moment, he just studied her eyes and face, admiring the way she looked up at him with such anticipation.
He smirked again, finally closing the gap between them two. His hand moved to the back of Yuu’s head, tilting it slightly as he placed his lips against hers. Ace’s eyes fell shut, beginning to kiss her.
Ace’s kisses were gentle, yet confident and possessive. His hand on her cheek was firm but not rough, and he used that to pull her closer. The world around her seemed to melt away, leaving just the two of them.
Yuu pulled away, letting out a content sigh as she did so. “...we should go; it’s getting late. You wouldn’t want Riddle to collar you again, would you?”
Ace rolled his eyes at the mention of Riddle, unable to help but grimace a little at the thought of receiving another of the housewarden’s infamous disciplinary actions.
“Ugh, you’re right,” he muttered. He wasn’t too pleased about ending the night early, though he didn’t want to get collared, either.
“Come on, Jeremy is getting tired,” Yuu grinned, pulling away as she held up her plushie.
Ace grumbled again, giving the plushie another disgusted look. “You need to stop calling that thing ‘Jeremy’,” he replied, his tone flat.
“When pigs fly,” Yuu stuck out her tongue, taking his hand and walking to the exit of the amusement park.
Ace rolled his eyes again, a small grumble of protest escaping from his throat. God, how in the world did that hideous plushie end up winning him over, yet again? He really was a hopeless case…
He didn’t utter another word of protest as Yuu took hold of his hand and lead him out of the park, though. As annoying as that hideous thing was, it made her happy, and that was good enough for him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Eventually, the two made it back to Ramshackle. Ace took a quick look at the rundown dorm, wrinkling his nose slightly.
“Man, why does it look even more pathetic at night?” he grimaced, before walking up the steps to the front door.
Yuu rolled her eyes and shook her head, opening the door and stepping inside alongside Ace.
Ace followed close behind Yuu and closed the door behind him. He looked around the familiar yet outdated interior, still not entirely fond of the appearance. Of course, he was grateful that she was at least letting him stay here, so he knew better than to be disrespectful about it.
He let go of her hand and slumped down on the couch, sprawling himself out across it.
Yuu momentarily set her plush down on the counter beside her goodie bag of chocolates. “You want one?” she offered, popping a caramel filled milk chocolate piece into her mouth before getting to work and throwing away the mountain of the crappy, nut-included chocolates from students in her class.
Ace watched her as she tossed the pile of cheap chocolates into the trash, a slightly amused smirk on his face. He shook his head as he let out a small huff of laughter, silently mocking her earlier statement that she didn’t want him spending too much money on her.
“Sure, give me one. Might as well check if they taste as horrible as they look.”
Yuu raised an eyebrow. “I meant the ones you bought me from the amusement park—not these shitty ones. I don’t want you to get food poisoning or something.”
Ace rolled his eyes and scoffed dismissively, though he was inwardly relieved that he didn’t have to sample the cheap chocolates.
“Oh, right,” he responded, a lazy smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. He then shrugged, propping himself up on his elbows. “Well go on. I paid for those, so I should at least get a taste test.”
Yuu chuckled and rolled her eyes, looking inside the bag. “Which one do you want? White, milk or dark?”
Ace thought about it for a moment, before ultimately shrugging. “Doesn’t matter too much to me. As long as it doesn’t taste like dirt,” he replied, then adding, “I’ll take dark. It always tastes the richest.”
Yuu pulled out a dark chocolate piece, unwrapping it while walking over to the couch and feeding it to him.
Ace leaned forward, a bit to accept the chocolate into his mouth, his eyes falling shut briefly once it was fully inside. He began to chew it, unable to help but let out a small satisfied hum.
After swallowing, he looked back up at Yuu and smirked. “Tastes better than the cheap stuff, I’ll give you that.”
Yuu suddenly smirked, a light bulb going off over her head. “You want another?”
Ace’s smirk grew, his eyebrows raising up slightly. He had an inkling of where this was going, but he still played along. “Depends. Are you going to feed me this one, too?”
“Eh, sort of~”
Ace smirked again, his curiosity heightened by her response. He leaned forward a bit more, keeping his eyes on her.
“Care to explain what else you’ve got in mind, then?”
Yuu let out a giggle, unwrapping another piece of chocolate and placinging half of it in her mouth, holding it with her front teeth.
Ace raised an eyebrow in slight confusion, but then it dawned on him what she was getting at. A small smirk tugged at the corner of his lips, a small huff of laughter escaping them.
He was going to get a repeat of that kiss from earlier, only this time it had chocolate involved.
He shifted a little closer to Yuu, his eyes fixed on hers. “Is this your attempt at winning me over, with fancy French chocolate kisses?”
Yuu gave a firm nod with a hum, leaning down closer to him.
Ace smirked again and reached out to grab her waist, gently tugging her down on top of him. He settled down on the couch, his back flat against the cushions, his back flat against the cushions and Yuu lying on top of him.
“You’re lucky I like this kind of bribery…” he said, his tone low but playful.
He didn’t give Yuu a chance to response. Instead, he pressed his lips against hers, kissing Yuu eagerly. His fingers gripped her waist, starting to gently guide her so that she was straddling him.
Yuu used this chance to push the piece of chocolate into his mouth with her tongue.
Ace’s eyes were shut at first, focused on only her lips against his. Then he felt the chocolate piece being pushed into his mouth, parting his lips a little more to let it fully in.
He quickly began to chew and swallow it, all the while keeping his lips in constant contact with hers. Then he broke away for a moment, his smirk returning as he spoke. “Tastes even better that way,” he commented, before diving back in, kissing Yuu again.
I love you all immensely. Take care. 💖
Andy comes up the stairs and you back up. Your adrenaline continues to pound in your skull. You inhale sharply and cough. He slows as he gets to the top.
“How are you doing?” He asks cautiously.
You nod and gulp, “fine. I’m... fine.”
He closes his eyes and nods. When he opens them again, the intensity behind his blue irises makes you wince. “I’m sorry if I scared you.”
“It’s okay,” you grasp the handle of the oxygen tank with both hands, keeping it in front of you like a shield.
“It’s not okay. Your mom is wrong, you know that, right?”
Your eyes dart back and forth, “she’s--”
“I know she’s your mom and you love her, because you’re a good girl, but I don’t want to hear excuses for her.”
You frown and flicks away a shell of tears with your lashes. “Sorry, Andy.”
“Don’t apologise to me, okay?” He sighs and pushes his head back as he grips his hips. “Look,” he looks down the hallway. “We’re gonna figure this out, together. Alright, sweetheart?”
You lower your gaze. You still can’t accept that your mom is just gone. That you’re here with just Andy.
“She won’t stay mad--”
“You can’t be serious? You can’t go back to her. Sweetheart, you’re sick and she’s not making it any better.”
“It wasn’t that hard,” you murmur.
His face flashes with concern and hurt, “that doesn’t matter.” His jaw ticks, “let me see your arm.”
“What?”
“Where she hit you, let me see it.”
You pull your arm back and put it behind you, “it’s not--”
He shakes his head, “I know it hurts. Even if you don’t show me, it doesn’t undo what she did or what I saw.” He sniffs and rubs his nose, “besides, I’m a lawyer, I kind of have to report that sort of thing.”
“Report? Oh,” you whimper. “Please, don’t.”
“Sweetheart,” he exhales.
“Please, Andy. I won’t go back but I don’t her to be in trouble.”
You look at him, the irritation stitched into his forehead. He purses his lips and drops his hand form his hip. He lets out a resigned breath.
“Alright, for now. We’ll just do one thing at a time,” he girds. “Let’s go pick up that mess.”
He steps past you and heads down the hall. You follow him, the wheels on the tank squeaking. He enters the guest room and kneels to gather the mess spilled from the belt bag. You near and bend to help. He glances up.
“Sweetie, please, you should sit down,” he says.
“I can help,” you insist as you grab your lip balm. At the same time, he reaches for it and clutches your hand by accident. You flinch away and recoil.
He doesn’t say a word as he continues to gather everything. He checks a pill bottle before he tucks it away. You peek at his face and notice the red blemish deepening on his cheekbone. The slap was loud, it sounded painful.
“Are you okay?” You ask.
“I’m not mad at you,” he assures as he keeps his head down.
“No, uh, that,” you point at his cheek. "Does it hurt?"
He stops, cradling the belt bag in one hand as he touches his cheek with the other. “Not really,” he says.
You reach out, “here, I’ll take it.”
He hands over the bag and you snap it around your waist, careful to keep it from tangling with your oxygen tube. He stands and clears his throat.
“This room works for you?” He asks.
You peer around then back at him.
“You’ll be here for a while so... I could grab you more blankets. A fan?”
You shake your head, “this is fine.”
He clicks his tongue and looks past you to the window, “I’m going to make some calls.”
“To the police? You said--”
“Not right now,” he shows his palms. “I’m just... I got work, still, and a few other things. Sweetheart,” he steps closer, “you just relax, okay? It’s been a long morning. And if you need anything, my office door will be open, alright?”
You scrunch up your lips and nod. It’s all you can do. You teeter around and sit on the side of the bed. You brace the oxygen tank to keep yourself upright.
“You sure you’re okay?”
“This is... normal for me,” you croak. “My mom’s right. I’m a burden. I’m too sick...”
“She’s not right,” he insists. “Lay down, sweetheart. Take it easy. I’ll be about an hour and then we can chat a bit more. There’s a lot to go through.”
You stay as you are. You wait. He lingers before he finally strides out of the room. He leaves the door open as you sniffle at your lap. What does he mean? A lot to go through?
Oh, this is bad. You’re so lost. What do you do? You’re not Andy’s responsibility. If you do go back to your mom, she’s going to be so mad. Oh no, oh no, oh no. You wipe your nose and gulp. Why do you have to be so worthless?
🩶
You can’t remember when you slumped onto your side. It doesn’t really matter. Most days you spend like that; dizzy, tired, and sick to your stomach. That day is worse.
You want to be home. Not with your mother, just in your room, with your figurines and your books. With the familiar. You stare at the wall as you listen to the airiness of the strange house. Cars pass with soft swishing noises and a few voices come from the suburban scene outside.
Andy’s footsteps precede him up the stairs. You see his shadow as he approaches the guest room and you make yourself sit up. What you don’t expect, is the other set of steps or another figure. You bounce slightly, expecting your mother, but finding only a stranger. A man.
“Hey, how are you feeling?” Andy asks.
You stare at the man then grimace at Andy. He stands just inside the door as the other man lingers at his shoulder.
“You said you wouldn’t call the cops,” you squeak.
“Oh,” Andy looks at the other man who gives a grin. “He’s not--”
“Hi,” the man says your name. “I’m Dr. Kemp. A friend of Andy’s.”
Your eyes flick between them. “It’s just a bruise.” You cover your forearm where the tenderness thrums.
“A bruise?” He repeats. “I can look at that too, but I’m just here for a check-up.”
“A check-up? I have a doctor. I have doctors,” you argue.
“He’s just making sure everything is normal, sweetheart,” Andy says.
“I could’ve called Dr. Hawes.”
“You could but I don’t think he’d be able to see you at short notice, this is just a precaution.” Andy explains.
“I’ll be quick, okay?” Dr. Kemp says as he nears and puts his leather bag next to you. “We’ll do the standard run through, alright?”
You pout and shrug, “okay. I’m sorry, sir.”
“It’s okay.” He assures you, “now, I don’t have your records so just a few questions.”
You nod and your eyes drift to the wall. Questions. There's always questions. You answer the same ones over and over. It’s just like when you had to sit in court.
“So, I see you’re on oxygen,” he begins, “is that something you need all the time or is it just now and then?”
“Always,” you answer.
“Alright, and have you been diagnosed with a specific condition that requires it?”
“Several. Cystic fibrosis, asthma, other things...”
“Hm, okay, you’re doing good. I know the questions can get annoying,” he says. “Do you have dizziness?” You nod. “Nausea?” Another nod. “Muscle spasms? Chest pains?” Yes and yes.
“Even with the tank?” He prompts.
“Yes, sir,” you reply bluntly.
“Right, let’s listen to your heart.”
He unzips the bag and takes out a stethoscope. You stand up stiffly as he comes closer. He points to the bottom of your shirt. “You mind?” You shake your head and he tugs it up, slipping his arm beneath. You blanch as your eyes meet Andy. You almost forgot about him.
Kemp puts the cold stethoscope on your chest. He moves it around. Across the top, then beneath, closer to your lungs. He listens intently. He hums and removes it, fixing your shirt for you.
He then starts with the other tests; temperature, blood pressure, eye response. He gives a thoughtful look then crosses his arms. He considers you for a moment.
“I want you to try something for me, okay?”
You nod once more.
“I need you to take off your oxygen.”
“What?” You yelp.
“Just for a few minutes, alright? I’m a doctor, right? You’ll be okay.”
You bat your lashes and glance at Andy again. He dips his chin. He watches intently. You look at the floor and unhook the tub from around your ears. You drag it off your nose and let it hang.
“Alright, how are you feeling?” Kemp asks.
You shrug. He just stands there. You do too. You sway slightly, confused.
“You having any issues?” He intones.
You shake your head.
“Alright, just a small test. Hold your breath for me,” he bends his arm and looks at his wrist watch, “we’re going to see how long you can do it. Tell me when you stop.” He pinches the small golden face, “three, two, one.”
You hold your breath as your eyes widen. Your lungs are full but not horribly so. You search the room in a panic. What if you pass out? Your panic rises and makes you itch but you keep your breath in. He waits and waits and waits.
You let it out suddenly, “I can’t--” you gasp. “See, I can’t.”
“A minute forty-seven,” he taps his watch, “pretty standard. Definitely pretty good for someone with bad lungs.”
“A minute... no, it wasn’t that long. Was it?”
Andy shifts as his jaw squares. His brows furrow. He looks angry. Kemp peeks back at him and turns back to you.
“I’m going to review your records. I’ll put a call in to Hawes.”
“Why?” You ask.
“Just to make sure I’m getting a full picture. Right now, you’re doing just fine. I’d say you’re doing rather well,” he squeezes your shoulder. “What I want you to do is to take it easy on this.” He touches the oxygen tube. “If you feel out of breath, by all means, put it on, five to ten minutes, but not 24/7.”
“But I need it,” you whimper.
“I know you feel like you do, but I’m the doctor, right? I understand you have a lot going on but your lungs aren’t bad enough to warrant constant oxygen. I’ll be back tomorrow once I get the chart,” he says. “Andy has my number.”
Your lip quivers. You don’t understand. You need the air. That’s what mom says. And when you forget to put it back on, she gets so mad.
“You having trouble right now?” He asks.
You stare at him and take a breath, and another, and another. “No,” you answer.
“There ya go. You got Andy. He'll keep an eye on you,” he packs away his bag.
“Thanks, Steve,” Andy says as he holds out his hand.
“We’re even,” Kemp shakes his hand then looks back at you, “see ya tomorrow.”
“Oh, okay, sir,” you eke out.
He leaves and Andy gives you a nod before he follows. You listen as they go downstairs. You sit on the bed and clasp your oxygen tube in your hands. You look at the tank and frown.
It doesn’t make sense. You don’t feel like you’re struggling. You feel like you’re breathing better, actually. It’s strange. Maybe it’s the adrenaline.
Andy returns and you push your shoulders back. He enters tentatively, “well?”
“I won’t...” you reach over and turn the dial to cut the supply. “It’s off.”
“Maybe he can help. More than the other doctors,” Andy says. “Er, you know, you don’t have to hide up here. I’m done for the day so I’m free and uh, if you’re hungry, we can order?”
“Not right now,” you say and hang your head.
“Yeah, I know. It’s a lot,” he says. “You got time, sweetheart. Whenever you need me, I’ll be here, okay?”
Abby Anderson w/ Alt reader
Pt 1 (??)
lmk if you guys want a pt 2.
No TWs really. Just mention of reader being afab sorta?? reader is more feminine so if that bothers you this probably isn’t for you. smoking also mentioned multiple times
- You and Abby met at a local cafe near your college. You had been a barista for about 4 months now, needing some extra money for college and what not.
- Abby asked for a black coffee, as she usually did. And you got it for her without saying much more, as you usually did.
- This time did not go how it usually did though. No, not at all. Unlike the usual order and go Abby decided to stick around for once, taking a seat at one of the small circular tables that littered the small coffee shop.
- When she sat down she got all her class work out, her computer, book, and notebook along with a pen and pencils.
- A couple hours go by and you were going on your break, untying the apron from your waist. You round to the front to go hang out in your car on your 30. Of course before that you had to have a cigarette so you sit on the curb next to your car, lighting one.
“You know those things are bad for you, right?”
You glance behind you to see oh so fine Abby Anderson. You take a puff and shoot her a grin.
“Really? I wasn’t aware.”
She laughs and takes a seat next to you on the curb, her big boots clacking on the cement.
“Can I have one?”
“You smoke?”
“Nope.”
- And that’s how it started. She’d come in, you’d go on your break, she’d smoke a cigarette with you, and you guys would sit there and talk. About nothing really, school work, your jobs, music, just little silly daily things. Nothing too serious.
- You had always been more on the alternative side but you really got into it once you turned 18. A few tattoos here and there, piercings up your ears and of course a facial one or two (more if you prefer).
- Of course it wasn’t uncommon for people to think this was weird, or unattractive, or on the far end even “demonic”. But not Abby Anderson. Oh no, as soon as she saw you she was interested. The way your eyeliner made your eyes stand out, the dark lipstick you wore, even your piercings. Every little thing had her stomach doing flips around you.
- So like any sane person does, she didn’t say a thing to you. She wasn’t awkward, not weird nor anything like that. Just shy. Not that you could tell with her more so stoic expression most the time. She’d get her coffee, black as always, and leave. Now what you didn’t know is that for 1. she did not take her coffee black. No, she simply thought it’d impress you. She was far from alternative herself so she really took the whole dark and dreary thing to heart and just assumed you’d think it was cool. (Spoiler alert: you did.)
- And 2. she had been dressing up everyday for you. Now, of course you wouldn’t know that considering you hadn’t really know her prior. Sure, maybe seen her around campus once or twice but nothing note worthy. But she had, slowly, trying to impress you in some way or another.
- At first she just changed up her clothes a bit, wearing a band tee she had cut the sleeves off of. And lord did she love the response it got.
“Nice shirt. You listen to them?”
“Oh, uh yeah, i do. Thanks.”
“Mhm. Black as usual today I assume?”
“Yeah, thanks.”
- If you hadn’t noticed she wasn’t exactly the best at flirting. It’s not that she was particularly bad at it, she just felt awkward. Especially considering she didn’t assume she was your type. Hell, she didn’t even know if you were into women.
- Eventually her effort become a bit more. Wearing a chain necklace with a cross, maybe a more grunge look with some black cargos. Hell she even painted her nails black to match with yours. The fact that you didn’t get acrylics was the one thing giving her hope on your sexuality.
- When her sitting with you on your break became a bit normal, you decided to test the waters.
“So… you got a crush on me or something?”
“What? Why would you even-”
“Pfft I’m kidding oh my god. You look like you’re about to have a heart attack” you couldn’t help the small laughs leaving your lips.
“Fuck… you’re a dick.” and then she laughed too.
“Wow big tough anderson can cuss huh?”
“Of course I can, I am an adult after all.”
“Of course, of course. So since you’re an adult, be honest with me. What’s with this? You got a crush for real? Or maybe you just wanna hook up? I don’t assume it’s just a case of a friend crush since you’ve been looking down my shirt since the first time you came in”
You were bold, and that made her nervous. But, it also made her like you more.
She laughed, clearly a bit anxious at the situation.
“Well, uh, I guess you caught me. I was hoping to maybe uh… I don’t know, take you out I guess?”
“About damn time you asked.”
- The first time you went out together she thought her eyeballs might actually pop out of her sockets. Holy. Shit. Was the only thing running through her mind. You looked good. Like really, really, fucking good. You had shown up in a pair of black panty hose that had holes in them, a black skirt, and a burgundy off the shoulder top which had some obscure band on it. And then of course your typical torn-to-shreds converse.
- But little did she know you were thinking the exact same thing. Holy. Shit. She had worn another one of her band tees with the sleeves cut off. Nirvana this time, fuck. Her biceps looked good enough to take a bite out of. And don’t even get started on those god damn black cargos. How was it possible for someone’s ass to look THAT good? And her thighs? You literally wanted her to squash your head with them. But the thing that really topped it off was these little accessories that she added. The delusional part in you hoping it was just for you. The chain she added to the cargos, of course her carabiner attached as well, her black chipped polish. And fuck, the thick silver rings on her fingers.
- Only one thing was running through your mind
‘Please fuck me with those things on oh my go-’
“Ready to go inside?”
“Yeah, let’s go.”
- For your first date you had decided to go to a small punk show downtown. You went to them pretty often and when you brought one up she naturally was interested. They were never super big groups, just small locals who were trying to make it big (but more often than not didn’t).
- It was loud. Like REALLY fucking loud. Way louder than Abby was expecting. I mean she knew it wasn’t going to be quiet but fuck, how were you not deaf at this point? Thank god you had given her ear plugs when you came in.
“It’s really loud in here”
“What?”
“I said, It’s really loud in here”
You just laughed and handed her a pack of earplugs. Not that you wore any, you felt they dimmed the experience. No, you wanted to feel the music in your bones. For it to rattle your soul to the core.
- In between sets you’d go outside and smoke a cigarette or maybe even just hit your vape. You and abby would chat about whatever, mainly the music. But eventually you run out of things to say about random small punk groups.
“You look really good tonight”
“Oh, shit, thanks. So do you- I mean, you look better than good. You look amazing, you always do, but, you know..”
Fuck. You had her stomach in literal knots.
“Soooo, when do you plan to kiss me?”
“What?”
She could feel her heart in her god damn throat.
“Unless you don’t plan to? I thought maybe you’d do it once we got outside but maybe you’re more of a kiss her on her doorstep typa’ gal?”
Holy. Shit.
“Do you uh.. do you want me to kiss you?”
“Depends, do you want to kiss me?”
Yes. So fucking badly.
But she just nods silently.
“Then yeah, I want you to kiss me.”
So she did.
- The kiss was clumsy, she was clearly nervous. But that was okay, you didn’t mind. No, if anything, you found it irritatingly cute. How could such a big scary looking person be so. fucking. cute.
- Later when you got home that night, her driving you of course. She walked you to your door. You were a junior so you had your own apartment at this point, sharing with a few roommates.
“Well, I was going to kiss you but clearly that already happened..”
“Hmm, well I don’t see the harm in a second go at it. By the third time maybe we’ll have it perfected.”
You just grin at her, grabbing the collar of her bomber jacket and pulling her down to you, pressing your lips against hers.
- The kiss quickly turned to a small make out session on your front porch, your back pressed against your front door, her big, calloused hands on your waist, pressed up your shirt.
- But all good things come to an end. So eventually she pulls away, flushed, both of you slightly panting, your lipstick smeared around your lips and hers at this point.
“Fuck, I really want to take things slow but you make it so hard.”
“Pfft am I getting you worked up Abby?”
“Yes. You fucking are. And you know it.”
She huffs and rests her head against your shoulder, hands still gripping the bare skin of your waist. You smile softly and press a soft kiss to her cheek.
“Don’t worry so much, ‘kay? You’re overthinking it. It’ll happen when it happens.”
- And with that the night ended.
