i finished my cyclonus model so i figured i'd do a small interaction with tailgate as a warmup since it's been a while. i should do more small, looping animations like this. they're fun.

NEOVEMBER DAY 2: Redesign your least favorite Neopet species

The Techo winds up being my least favorite Neopet species not because there's anything actually wrong with it, but because it has the the fewest unique design details out of the 'just a cartoon drawing of a real animal' Neopet species. Cybunnies have the spotted ruff, Bruces have the big bow and strange one-toed sock feet, Nimmos have a forked snake tongue- meanwhile, all the Techo has to set it apart from any other cartoon lizard is... a kind of wiggly tail. its boring!!!! That said, I wouldn't want to actually replace the Techo with this, because I don't think this is necessarily better than the official design (and its not really congruent with the style of the rest of the pets with its Fuzio eyes)

but would I, personally, like it more? Yes

the physicality of tlp is so good. the way all of the men kick their feet up on tables, are slow to salute, and even the officers seem so casual with how they move and hold themselves, which makes jones stick out like a sore thumb in every scene he's in, even if he's not saying anything.
