super curious today about how people feel toward the names they might have been given. apparently i used to ask my mom about my “boy name” several times a week and get really sad i couldn’t have both my given name and that name. being trans this is hilarious to me now so wondering

also curious how this intersects with being trans!! i feel like my fixation with it definitely had a lot to do with that, so idk add in tags? if you feel like being trans makes you more/less curious about it

 Another piece I made while listening to a song! Two, actually. One was called “Starlings,” a track from the phenomenal soundtrack of BBC’s Planet Earth II. (I personally think it works better.) youtube.com/watch?v=SSP77iv7Xi… I originally intended this to take plac on a hilltop, rather than a cobbled city street, but who has time to paint every last blade of grass?? I also intended this to be a simple sketch, rather than a full fledged piece. I did not expect t to turn out like this. The lens flare took time to edit! I’ll bet you can assume why it would be called the wingless starling. Now I’m prompted to draw Handplates with starry starling wings…I think I will. If somebody beats me to the idea, I’ll still draw it, lol.
